Hello, thank you very much for deciding to read this. It is my first story, but unlike some, I would like anyone who would do me the honor of leaving a comment to be as harsh as they want to be. If there are any flaws in my writing, I would like it if you pointed them out right away, instead of letting me continue with them and embarrass myself. Anyways, enjoy! This stories series contains gay adult content, so do not read it if you are under 18 years old. * * * Shane gazed out of the car window, admiring the thick blanket of snow that had draped itself over the landscape. Winter was his favorite season. There were no mosquitoes, no blazing sun, and best of all, he could finally hit the slopes again. Shane was a small fox, who's adorable face and small frame made him look very young, even younger than he already was. He was 16, and was a lot shorter than most of his friends, standing at just barely 5" 6', and 105 pounds. He had icy blue eyes, and extremely soft fur, which was a dark red covering his arms, back, upper legs, and tail base. The beautiful shade of red changed to a creamy white that went from his face, down the middle of his neck, covered his chest and belly, and stopped at the bottom of his crotch. His ears and paws followed the same black coloring seen on most foxes, except for the tip of his tail, which seemed white like his chest, but was a bit closer to a pale silver when viewed from up close. "Shane, go! The light's green dude." He was jerked out of his trance and slowly accelerated the car through the intersection. The remark had come from his friend Sam, a female silver lynx. She was sitting in the back seat of the 2006 Nissan Sentra, along with Mark, a skinny white and black splotched cat. The front passenger seat was occupied by Shane's longest known acquaintance Jack. Jack was a 17 year old light brown coyote, with soft green eyes and a shiny, almost glossy looking pelt. He was also snapped out of the daze by Sam's comment, having been just as eager for winter as Shane. "I'm so glad Jason invited us all to come up here, all the resorts back home would be packed by now. He's so much cooler than her last boyfriend." When Jack said she, he was referring to their other friend Kelly. Kelly was a golden colored lion, who had recently started dating Jason, who was not only a very nice guy, but was completely loaded. When she mentioned that they were all into snowboarding, Jason had decided to invite them all up to his cabin(a lot of people would think of it more as a mansion, and was often mistaken for an inn). It was on the edge of a small town, way up north, right next to an awesome ski/snowboard resort. It wasn't the fanciest place, but was mostly inhabited by locals, and there was always enough breathing room. It was a two hour drive from home, but was well worth it. Shane continued to follow Jason's Beamer as it glided along the snowy streets. After a few minutes, they finally pulled up a gigantic driveway to the front of the gargantuan log cabin. "Damn, this place is huge!" exclaimed Mark upon exiting the car, dragging his duffle bag and snowboard along with him. Jason and Kelly got out of his car and walked over to help bring in their stuff. "I'm glad you could keep up, you tend to get slowed down a lot on those icy roads." "It was no problem for Shane, his lead foot is heavy enough to get us over anything," replied Jack, smirking in Shane's direction. "Hey, at least I kept a job long enough to buy a car," Shane fired back smugly. "Well come on in and we'll show you guys around, If you think the outside is impressive, you've seen nothing yet." Kelly took the lead into the front door of the cabin, after retrieving the key from Jason. The four of them marveled as the entered the cabin. Most of the main floor was taken up by a TV/game room, bar, and patio with an 8 person hot tub. The room was covered in beautiful wood finish, even most of the bar. Even once inside it wouldn't be unusual to be mistaken for an inn, or even a club. There was a large fire place surrounded with couches and chairs in the main room, and large glass windows on all of the walls. After turning the heat on, the room took moments to warm up, a great relief from the cold outside. "Besides the master bedroom, there are three bedrooms upstairs, so two of you are gonna have to share," informed Kelly. "No problem, Shane and I can share a room," replied Jack. Shane nodded happily in agreement. He liked being able to share a room with Jack, he was always really relaxing to talk to at night when he couldn't sleep. "Well before we head out for the slopes, lets get something to eat first, I'm starving," Sam commented. "Same here, and we still have plenty of stuff in the kitchen," said Kelly. Jason's parents were staying at the cabin only about 5 days prior, and stocked the fridge and pantry up when they heard about the six friends' vacation plans. They all entered the large kitchen through the door at the end of the bar. She popped two frozen pizzas into the huge three rack oven, and pulled two twelve packs of soda out of the fridge. Shane grabbed a Gatorade instead, having quit drinking pop. A few of his friends had voiced their concern about Shane having an eating disorder, but he defended himself by saying he had a slow metabolism, and that if he continued eating junk he could easily double his weight. Jack and Sam were still the only two who were on his side when it came to that issue. Kelly had even been remembered as calling him an "anorexic whore", but Shane had understood why she was so worried about him. Her mother had died from anorexia when she was only eight, leaving her to live barely above the poverty line with her father. Although she did truly love Jason for who he was, she viewed him as her savior from being sent to live in a foster home. After they had eaten several slices of pizza each, they grabbed their stuff off of the bar room floor and headed up to their rooms. "Sam and Mark, you two can fight over the two rooms at the right end of the hall. This room is the master where Jason and I will be. Jack and Shane, you guys' room is down that way, first door on the left." Kelly pointed them each out to their rooms, and went with Jason into the master bedroom. Shane and Jack walked down to the end of hall to the left, and entered the first door on the left. It was a large room, with two beds, two dressers, a closet, a mini fridge, and a couch. Shane plopped his bag down onto the bed to the left, while Jack took the one on the right. Shane stretched out in the light from the large window in the back of the room, and started to unpack all of his clothes, while Jack followed suite. "I'm glad we got to come up here instead of staying back home, like last Christmas break," Jack stated happily. He loved being as far away from the suburbs as he could get, and was only happier at the aspect of doing so with Shane. His family and friends were great, but his town was so uneventful. He and Shane shared a close bond. Even on the first day they had met they didn't have to form a friendship at all, they went so well together that they could instantly talk about anything. Although the friendship between the two was close, neither of them had thought about it turning into anything serious, let alone either of them considered being gay. They had, however, never really protested the thought, although they both kept that to himself. Once Jack was done getting his gear on, he grinned at Shane and said, "Alright, first snowboarding day of the year." Shane matched the happy gesture and led the way out with an enthusiastic "Let's go."
