How to Seer, Part 14
This is another writing prompt from the furry writing group in which I take part on Telegram.
(Interested in joining us? You can find it here: https://t.me/joinchat/CPoeZhclggenrOEh0yYwvg )
The focus of this prompt is to do a short story of "about 1000 words" with the prompt: "It's been so long I've forgotten what it was like"
We return again to the world of "The Gift", and see the follow-up night to Billy's time with Mishupishu. Much more comfortable with his sexuality in how he interacts with his Spirits, it doesn't take much for him to take the next step with two of his friends: Kon & Talapus. As always, thanks for reading!
How to Seer, Part 14

Mishupishu was my first time, not just with a spirit, but with anyone. He also wasn't my last time. There is a certain balance that comes with being a Seer and when you're around spirits long enough you can start to feel it when the scales tip too far in any one direction. What Mishupishu and I shared was close, intimidate, and personal, but I knew that it wasn't exclusive; it couldn't be. That wasn't the only reason I gave myself freely to my other companions, but my first experience with the Water Panther did make approaching that intimacy with the others much easier.
The night after we returned home from eastern Oregon was date night, and that particular rotation was a two-fer; Talapus and Kon were both my dates and, despite both being the Type A personality sorts and very eager for my attention, out of all of the Spirits they seemed to get along the best whenever they weren't in one of their silly competitions... and they had a LOT of competitions. Fortunately, after living in peace for several years, they determined that it was safest for everyone that I was not one of them-- hence both dating me at once.
Separately each was fun and each was entertaining in their own way, but together it was like a whirlwind of chaos... in a good way. Our joint dates were never planned beforehand so I never knew what I was going to get. That night specifically we ended up at a local burger joint. The Pacific Northwest has its own special chain of regional burger franchises, and the one we chose were famous for their Walla Walla onion rings-- battered and deep fried rings of large, sweet onions grown in Washington.
I got a burger and a large order of onion rings along with a strawberry and cream milk shake for myself, and then ordered a cheeseburger for Talapus and a chicken sandwich for Kon. Both had their preferences and I'd learned them well. Kon's favorite meat had always been chicken in any form, especially in eastern cuisines, but Talapus, despite being an ancient Native American trickster spirit, had apparently gained a love of cheeseburgers the last time he'd associated with a Seer-- sometime back in the early 80s according to the vague stories when he talked about the death of disco.
That night we didn't talk much about the past, though; they were more interested in the present. I don't remember how the topic was approached, but, as we walked home, the discussion turned to the prior night and the time I'd spent with Mishupishu. Kon made sure that he hadn't forced himself on me; I reiterated that he hadn't. Talapus asked if I had enjoyed myself; I confirmed that yes, I indeed had. The two exchanged glances before looking back to me, at which point Coyote said aside to the Fox "It's been over forty years since I last had anything like that with a Human... what about you?"
Kon's muzzle slowly quirked up into the expression of elite superiority which he wore like a second skin. "Centuries."
I interjected, not really liking where the one-upmanship was going. "Is this where I should object to the way this talk is going, or are you NOT trying to beat out one another for my approval and time?"
Talapus immediately tucked his tail, getting the most endearing expression on his muzzle. "Well, I--"
Kon didn't let him finish his statement, a mischievous grin spreading across his already upward tipped muzzle as he tented his fingers in front of himself connivingly. "Why would you think we'd make you choose?"
The Coyote picked up on the implication faster than I had. "Oh? You think Billy would be into something like that?"
The thought, I had to admit, both perplexed and excited me. Fortunately, neither made me say a thing as we continued onward back toward home, their volume raising in their obvious excitement as they began to plan things out as if preparing a proposition for me like I wasn't there. We arrived at the door to the apartment just as Kon stated "Well, obviously BILLY is going to be in the middle."
I felt my cheeks redden as I stepped inside, both following after me. Talapus offered a weak rebuttal, but I could tell it was more for show than objection. "You don't think it'd be fair to take turns?"
By that point I knew I wasn't going to say no, so I made my way back toward my room, pointing out what I knew neither of them didn't already know. "You can't get off unless I do, so if you took turns there's no telling how much of me is left for the second."
Tails started wagging profusely once I engaged in the conversation which, at that point, was rather unnecessary. I was suddenly pressed on either side by furry bodies, paws traversing all over me to un-tuck my shirt and pull at it until it started to raise above my head. Muzzles replaced paws as I was assailed by light nips, licks, and kisses from left and right. Talapus found all of my ticklish spots with his snuffling and his whiskers, but kept me from squirming away by how his attention always returned to the erotic areas.
Kon, on the other hand, grazed at the base of my neck, nibbling and licking softly as his paws explored me, as if trying to memorize every part of my body. Slowly, methodically, they eventually had me completely naked, and more than ready for what I knew would come next. Although they each had the capacity to just will their clothing away, I made a point to start undressing Kon before they could, and Talapus quickly picked up on the plan; suddenly the focus of attention, the Fox was subjected to what they had just put me through.
Talapus did most of the undressing; I was focused on gently kissing the Yokai's slender muzzle, cupping his whiskers beneath my palms as he lapped hungrily at my tongue. Eventually, just as the Coyote got him fully undressed, I finally let the Fox into my mouth, and I felt a shiver run through him; it was excitement and need, and its presence was echoed by my own body... but I didn't give in just yet; as one, Kon and I turned toward Talapus, who stood there with a huge grin, tail wagging in a circular motion behind him.
Descended upon like food attracting hungry men, Talapus' clothing came off quickly. Kon got behind him and nipped at his ears even as he was pulling the Coyote's jacket off and unbuttoning his shirt but since I was already in front of him, had the job of tending to his jeans. Making quick work of the button and the zipper, I quickly discovered that he had no underwear and, moreover, I suddenly came to see what the Coyote was packing. It wasn't the first time I'd seen it, as such, but it was the first time I saw him excited and, for once, he was sporting more than just a sheath... far more.
Only once Talapus stood bare before me did he bother doing anything aside from giving himself over to our will. He stood, paws on his hips as he looked right at me, licking his muzzle hungrily. "Oh, Billy... I'm looking forward to being inside you."
Kon piped up at that point. "Who says HE won't be in YOU?"
Talapus slid a paw down and encircled his massive girth, making my heart skip a beat; that was a LOT of Coyote. The Spirit grinned. "I have a feeling he wants it and, besides, you're a Fox."
Kon stuck his tongue out at Talapus. "That's a stereotype and, besides, I don't think Billy is ready to be a dad."
That statement caught me out of left field. "Wait... what? Is that a thing? Spirits can't give birth and, even if they could, I thought you were a--"
Then it hit me: 'male' and 'female' weren't truly identifiers for Spirits; whether Kon was a he or a she was no more a factor than if his fur were red or gray. He also clarified on the second point. "MOST Spirits can't give birth, Billy, but Yokai can."
Talapus let out a huff, letting go of his ample member; it made an audible impact when it swung back to strike his thigh. "Eh... probably for the best anyway... I mean, better to ease Billy into things-- wouldn't want to be TOO much for him too soon."
Despite all of his chest-beating and posturing, the Coyote turned out to have no real objection to laying back on my bed. Our union was near effortless, and the sensations I got once I was inside him were unlike anything I'd ever felt, heightened only when I felt Kon's muzzle on the back of my neck. Little kisses were joined by his hot tongue, and then his paws on my chest as his arms encircled me. He murmured something softly in Japanese as I felt him enter me from behind and, despite me not understanding the language, I realized his next words were a translation into English as he murred in a heady tone. "It's been so long... I-- I've forgotten what it was like."
It was a realization for him, a return to a memory that had originated long since before I was born; I felt the wet warmth of a tear fall onto my shoulder. There is something enthralling about being able to belong with beings who are so ancient, and more so when joining them for something so intimate. No matter how long passes since that night I know for certain that I'll never forget.
