Chapter Two:

“Moving on up."

I thought about what we needed to do as we walked in the forested area. “I think we need to kill a few monsters, and try to get to the next level, as well gather some food." I spoken while looking around.

Shadow just sent me a acknowledgement as he was ahead of me a bit. “I have spotted something. . .: he says in my mind as I slowly made my way to his spot.

It was a small Bore, that was grazing without noticing that we were watching him. I examine it, which showed me his level, as well as basic info and stats. Level 2, with 60 hit points, not bad as well as being tough skin. I sent my intent to Shadow as I cast vines to hold its legs while Shadow attacked.

Shadow reached out with his sharp claws raking over the bores skin, causing it to squeal in pain. I noticed a health bar floated over the bore sort of translucent, a quarter of the bore health was gone from that one hit. Before I knew it, some how the bore broke out of the vines, and with a quick movement dodged another attack from the wolf, swinging it self around and using its head as a battling ram with its tusk pointed towards Shadow ribs.

Shadow dodge the bore last chance effort at piercing him with his tusk. A moment later, a snap could be heard as a pair of jaws crushed the Bores neck.

“ Way to go!" I spoke as I walked up to the dead bore. Kneeling down to examine its body. As I was glancing over its body and its markings, I noticed something odd about it. Though it look like a bore, it had parts that wasn't swine like. For one it had a sheath similar to a canine, and a set of hanging balls. But, the oddest part was it also had a vagina slit. While the corpse was still warm, I quickly see if I could expose the penis out of its sheath. I pulled back drawing the dagger out of the bore, as I quickly launched my self once more towards the second bore, hitting it in the same spot killing it instantly.

I knelt down next to one, and noticed the same features as the first one, wonder if I could store these to skin later, so I place my hand on one, while willing it to go into my bag. Sure enough, it vanished, I gave a chuckle while putting the other one in as well.

I checked my stats and noticed that I was half way to leveling to my next level. At the same time I open the flashing icon of the scroll. There were several message mentioning that I have learn new skills, such as thrusting, stabbing, and one call sneak attack. Seems as you can level these skills as well, as Identify has went to level 2.

Strangely a message says a unique Quest was added to my quest log. I closed out of that screen, glance to the Q icon to bring it up. I have noticed that one quest, kill 10 bores was showing 3 out of 10, so I guess any kills we made together counted. There was a tab for Unique Quest. I switched to it, showing a Quest in Gold lettering. (Become that of which you Desire.) Opening it, revealed To become of which you desire, one must join one of which you love. Reward: Be transformed in that which you desire.

I pounder on the meanings. I had some what of a idea of what it meant. . . I looked up at Shadow approaching.

We worked our way back to our starting location, killing several more bores. Completing one of the quest, as well we level up to level 2, nearly to level 3.

As we got to the entrance to our starting area, a Large White wolf was standing in the middle of the entrance, glancing directly at us. For a few seconds, before it lumber off pass a large tree, we never saw it after that, as if it vanished from our sight. Shadow couldn't smell any trace pass the tree either. We just shrugged it off as we went into our area.

We worked together to make a small area for a campfire, using several branches, I soaked them into the pond near by.

We gathered up old dead branches as well as a few logs that were strangely the right size to be used as firewood. I reached into my bag, withdrawing a set of stones. With a quick few strikes a shower of sparks fell into the makeshift camp fire hitting the piled up leaves we place in the center to provide kindling.

The kindling started to flare up, engulfing the branches around it. I stepped back, as the flame slowly got higher and higher. Turning around I walked over to where a hole was dug.

While taking out one of the bore I had saved, I used the vine spell to hold the bore up as I gutted and skin it, letting everything fall into a small dug up hole that shadow made for me. After skinning the bore.

With some care I place some of the meat onto the soak branch, slowly placing the meat over the fire, using several other branches we found as well as a vine that was nearby making a stand of sorts to allow the meat to be above the burning ambers, to slowly cook.

Funny thing was, I had several new skills popping up, I quickly dismissed them as they did.
