Alex carried Koren to the bathing room, having the maids leave the two of them alone. He set Koren down long enough to get himself undressed and set her blanket aside then lifting her up again he would move into the hot water of the tub he had built into the floor of the room. Alex frowned and moved towards her, getting ready to grab her but stopped as she flinched and pulled back from him again. He stood there looking floored as he looked at her. She was right, he would have harmed her in some way. Alex took a deep breathe and stepped back, shaking his head some. " I am sorry Koren...I guess I would have never believed it if I hadn't just seen it."
Koren blinked and stared at him in shock for a moment before she nodded some. Alex slowly moved to her, reaching out to grab the collar he had put on her neck over a week ago and unlocked it, throwing both the collar and the key to it out of the tub. Alex spent almost three hours in the bath with Koren, helping her get her fur cleaned off and enjoying the hot water with her. When they got out he took her to his room where a fire had been lit in the fireplace. He let Koren sit down after getting her fur dried off. Alex looked back at her and gave a bit of a shrug. " I don't know...I can't exactly give you freedom due to it being winter...and the nobles have it in their minds that your my pet...which you are just...not going to be doing what I have been doing." Koren nodded some and looked away from him, taking in a deep breathe as the maid came into the room with four or five different gowns for Koren. Alex looked to the maid and ordered some cooked meats and juices to be brought to his room. The maid nodded and left the two of them alone as Koren looked back to him.
"I have been listening to your...nobles...they are hell bent on making you marry...yet you don't seem to have your heart set on having a queen...why?" Alex looked to her and was silent for a moment before giving a small shrug as he looked to the fire place, watching the flames dancing around as he sighed. " I have no love for them...or most women in my kingdom...the only reason they want to marry me is for the fame...the riches...they want to be a queen and live a higher life then what they already live...I guess I am trying to put it off till I find a girl I want." Koren was silent as she listened to him, her ears twitching a few times as she looked down at the floor. She was about to say something to him when the maid knocked on the door. Alex got up and let the maid in who had a large tray of cooked meats, breads, cheeses and juices. He took the tray from her and let her leave before moving back over to Koren and sitting back down. "Eat...I am sure your starving.." Alex looked at Koran as she stared back at him before giving him a small nod. Koren ate on the different meats along with Alex, both remaining silent while staring into the fire and enjoying the warmth. When Koren had her fill Alex got her to stand and led her over to his bed where he climbed in, holding the heavy covers up and letting her climb in with him. He hugged her against him so her back was to his chest. It didn't take long for Koren to fall asleep after coughing a few times. She curled up and relaxed under the warm blankets, the warmth from his body adding to relax her while Alex remained awake, watching her in silence.
