Teratophiles! Vol 1, Part 1.1
Today, I'm launching a new kind of story for all of you. One of the things that seems to get more eyes is if someone posts more often, and so for all of you, I'm going to do the Teratophiles series as a serial. Every week, I'll be posting 1000-1500 words out of an already completed story. This first part of the series, which will all be based around what's called a Red Line club named Teratophiles. I may have some Volumes involve males. Some may be one shots, some may involve consistent characters between them. Each Volume will have the first, next etc tags so you can find the first part of the tale, and I'll have a folder specifically noting the Teratophiles series.
So... here's the first exclusive thing all my subscribers get. Only they will be given access to the completed Volume parts all as one document. My SubscribeStar discord and my Substar page will be the only places to download the full volume, so if you want to see the entirety of a volume, please subscribe!
Teratophiles Vol 1 - What They Least Expected
Part One - Seeking Something New
1.1
"Come on, Laris, just one more club. I doubt Tioma's going to be able to stand afterwards. I promise it'll be the last one!" As Cait draped an arm over Laris' shoulder, the snow leopard knew that there was no way she'd get out of trying just one more club. Later on, after everything that came from the decision to relent to her friend one last time, Laris would wonder what course her life would have taken if she'd resisted just a little bit more.
Sighing and looking to her friend, a tall black-backed jackal named Cait, Laris offered her one of her long-suffering green-eyed stares. A sheepish smile on the part of the jackal told her that Cait was very much aware this 'one more club' was the fifth such club since Laris had expressed her desire to head home. "Fine. One more. I mean it this time, Cait. Tioma's wobbly as fuck, and even you're slurring your words. I think we lost Jessica and Kael at the last place. I have no fucking clue where Deliliah went."
The three remaining friends had started out in a group of six, all gathered to celebrate their vixen friend Tioma's having graduated flight school. The unsteadily advancing vixen, usually more straitlaced than any of them, threw an arm over Laris' other side and let out a happy squeal. "I knew it. I knew you'd wanna do one more. Which one do you wanna do? I hear there's a brothel that services ladies nearby. I haven't had a good tongue-lashing since I split with Geran. And you, Laris. I don't think I've ever seen you get your puss railed. I swear, you must be a total prude."
Laris sighed and looked first to Cait, who offered a shit-eating grin and a wink, then to Tioma, whose eyes were more than a little unfocused. "Do either of you remember the way back to the hotel? Because I'm gonna remind you, I'm the only sober one here. We're going to one more club, then that's it. I'm going back to the hotel. I'll fucking leave you if you don't go home after that."
"Yeah, yeah. You know you wouldn't. You're not gonna let Tioma get sloshed then leave her here," Cait said cheerfully. "Come on, let's pick a place. Somewhere nobody else is going. Someplace seedy. Complete it all."
"You want seedy? I mean, for fuck's sake, Cait, two clubs ago we ended up in a hardcore kink club. Fine. You want seedy? You want weird, both of you?" She looked to her right, to Tioma, who was grinning dopily. Laris wondered if the vixen had been imbibing much more than alcohol. Still, Tioma nodded, the short mohawk of hair she had done up between her ears bobbing a little. A look to Cait told Laris that she was game. "Fine. One more. But I'm gonna pick it. Someplace really messed up."
"Pfft, you couldn't pick something really messed up. Ti is right, you're a shrivelled prune... or was it prude? Bah, anyway! That cute little piece of ass at that rubber bar was falling all over you and you just ignored him." Cait said, that leer turning the statement into a sort of challenge. "Seriously, when's the last time you had a good dicking? Wait, was it when... you know, when we met? When we..."
Laris offered a low growl of warning to the jackal, a reminder that she was touching on a sensitive topic. She'd never been able to figure out why, but she wasn't even a tenth as enthusiastic about sex as Cait seemed to be. She enjoyed it, but she'd been stuck in her head for most of the times she'd been intimate with anyone. Whether she was worrying about her own classwork, or if her partner was really enjoying themself, or any number of other things, she could never really let herself go and just live in the moment.
Laris looked back behind her, down the long promenade of bars, restaurants and nightclubs that made up the bustling port city's entertainment district. It felt like she and her two friends had been up and down the kilometre-long strip at least half a dozen times. "Something weird..." she murmured. The weirdest had been the rubber bar Cait had mentioned. Could she top it, try to find something to shock either Cait or Tioma? None of the places they'd passed by really fit that bill, but there had to be something.
A flash of red neon caught Laris' attention from down an alley right across the street from her. If she hadn't been standing where she was, it might have escaped her attention. Instead, the indistinct shape blinked at her like a beacon. She saw two people on the other side of the street turn down the alley and head for the sign. "There. We're going there," Laris said, pointing down the alley, drawing her friends' attention to the sign. It was only about fifty metres down the alley.
Tioma only giggled and nodded, but Cait let out a dubious-sounding whistle. "What is that sign? It looks all wiggly, like a worm. There's a word there. Can't read it. Fuck it. Fine. If it sucks though, I'm gonna make you go back and give that rubber kitten your info."
As the trio stepped into the dimly-lit alley, Laris felt a moment's hesitation. It was like the bustling and busy promenade of the entertainment district ceased to exist as she and her friends stepped away from the brightly-illuminated street. Ahead of her, the only illumination was the flickering neon sign. As she got closer, she could see that it wasn't a display, it was a real neon light, something that she'd seen only a few times in her life.
When they were only a few metres away, the letters beneath the odd design were distinct enough to be read. Even as Laris read the single word in old Earth standard English, Tioma was trying to say it, and poorly at that. "It says Teratophiles, Tee," Laris said. Languages weren't the vixen's strong suit, and English wasn't exactly common outside of Earth. "I... have no idea what 'terato' is, but 'phile' indicates sexuality. Maybe we shouldn't go in. Could be something really weird there. And that design looks like... god, some weird tentacle-thing. You guys wanna go to a different one?"
Cait snorted in derision, "Hey, you said weird. We're fucking going in. Look, there are people coming out and going in still." Indeed, the two that Laris had seen going into the alley before them were at the door. As the doorman nodded at them both, they laid their fingers on a datapad he held out to them. The taller of the two, a slender antelope, was almost leering at his partner, a small rat that had to be half his height. When the door opened, a thumping electronic music spilled out, above it the sounds of almost ecstatic pleasure. "Jeez. Someone in there is getting fucked. Okay. I wanna see what 'teratophiles' means."
Laris sighed and shook her head. She could have picked any place, and this was the one she'd chosen, more to try and discourage the more sober of her friends to call it a night than anything. She should have known that Cait would take it as a challenge and insist on going in. And so, with Tioma's arm still hanging over her shoulder and Cait now tugging on her free arm, Laris found herself standing in front of the doorman.
