Just some story i had stuck in my head, a perfectly normal paladin covenant that worships Bahamut, nothing strange. Might even upload the other chapters I am working on. Let me know what you think.

In a dark room the kobold slumbered. Zulu rested comfortably in the once warm bed. Still smelling of her see-in. She clenched her lower abdomen with a loving touch, she felt like something new was happening. A knock on the door stirred her out of her sated state. The bright green reptilian eyes opened, and she clambered out of bed wearing nothing but a gold ring on her left claw. The leather-bound wooden door flung open to the stone hallway. The corridor's torch light flooded into the room. Light Reflected on her metallic golden scales. “You're still asleep?" A feminine scratchy voice said. It was the kobold's sister Daia. Her closest egg-mate. The nest mothers even told them stories that their eggs would always seem to find away to touch when left unattended.

Daia stood in the doorway that was well over 8 feet tall, she was wearing dark leather armor and with 2 deadly looking daggers on both sides of her waste. The only scales visible were that on her head, neck, and tail. Scales like freshly minted gold coins, like all kobolds in the covenant. Only differences between the two sisters were Daia's eyes and horns were metallic gold in color. Looking like they would drip precious gold at any moment.

“Sorry I was spending a lot of time with Samuel" Zulu said in her high-pitched bubbly tone. She had spent not only the night with him, but the past few days with him. She does not even remember if she left the room the whole time.

“Don't brag about it, you told me you were going to share" Daia said huffing wanting to finally experience what every other kobold has with the protectors. She let herself in and closed the door behind her. The darkness of the room swallowed them both.

“I wanted to make sure my love marks were on him first; our mothers always took pride of their love marks on their see-in" brandishing her tiny claws to her sister.

“Well did you?" Daia tilted her head inquisitively.

She just nodded, “that's not all, I think I may have an egg already."

Daia just opened her maw in astonishment, it usually takes years for an egg to be fertilized, this would be the fastest fertilization in the covenant.

“Yeah, it's great. I can't wait to see the look on the mothers' faces when they find out." Placing her claws on her stomach triumphantly.

“Then that means you can't go on this mission; you know they won't let you." Daia stated coldly.

“vents and brimstone, I been waiting my whole life to leave the kingdom, I'm going on this." She said bouncing on her springy legs to the dresser that held her clothes.

“does Sam know? I remember when we had the talk with our paladins, but does he know you are already…" Daia was interrupted. “No, and please don't tell him, not yet. He's going to just sit me out and leave me in the city."

Daia did not argue, she knew that it would be pointless, and besides, it is just a trade mission.

Zulu began to get dressed in her under armor, thick pads of cloth slid over the back of her curved ivory horns and down her small slender frame. Moving back to the dresser she got her cloth britches and starts to hike them over her digitigrade claws and up her haunches. She buttoned the large loop around the base of her tail securing it around her hip. Before she finished, she grabbed her holy relic, a gold pendant of a dragon head, she kissed it as her prayer and then locked it around her neck by a silver chain. Her splayed clawed toes clicked on the smooth stone of the room as she walked over to her sister who then opens the door back out to the corridor. Their eyes squint in pain as they adjust to the light of the main hallway of the living quarters. They started to make their way to the armory to get her gear.

The sisters walked together down the hall; their tails undulate from side to side in a exaggerated feminine fashion. The hallways were carved and smooth, not as decorated as dwarven passages but it was pretty and made everything orderly. There was the small counter to the armory located deeper in the underground tunnel network. A glittering metallic female kobold smiles at them, “Zulu, you haven't checked out the items Triss made specially for you, she was completely distraught when you didn't try it on after you finished your training." Zulu replied, “I'm sorry mother, I have been so busy moving my stuff into my see-in's quarters." The quartermaster looked at her checklist and made some notes on it then turned back to Zulu, “Samuel, right? He is quite a specimen, you treat him right, okay." Zulu and Daia smirked. The quartermaster opened the door to the armory, “Well go on in and the other girls will help you into your armor."

They both enter the room, a few kobolds wearing simple wool clothes were maintaining the weapons and armor. The carved out spacious room was lit with 2 braziers filling the room with warm light. Several sets of full plate for tall muscular humanoids sat on armor stands and large two-handed weapons of every verity lined the weapon racks. It made the female kobolds polishing the metal boots seem so much smaller by contrast. They spotted the two sisters and started grabbing equipment from a lower drawer along the wall. Each of them holding different pieces setting them into a neat stack. Zulu looked at the items, they seemed different than the normal steel their protectors wore. Shinier, almost white. “Why does this look different?" she asked one of the kobolds. “It's made of mithril, your sister Triss made them specifically for you. You were the only one to be trained as a cleric from your clutch." Only one out of the twelve sisters had a righteous soul to channel divinity. Always thinking it brought resentment from her siblings, but they all supported her and encouraged her during her training. Triss even went out of her way to make beautiful armor. Daia was the only other sister to go through any kind of fighting class, being sent to a specialty guild to learn the art of a rogue. Zulu was envious of that, to experience what it is like outside the walls of the city, but she never let it show.

Zulu started to put on the leather layer of armor provided, then the chainmail and then the sparce armor plates. The leather seemed to weigh more than the chainmail and plates. One of the kobolds inspected her, “okay daughter, now move around for us so we can make some modifications." She started to move around twisting and bouncing around the room in a flash, flicking her tail to adjust her balance. Daia laughed as the armor shifted and clattered over her sister's small body. The kobolds quickly tighten it up in areas to where it would not chaff and rub off her golden scales. Zulu looked at herself in the polished mirror. Her scales now hid under layers of leather and chainmail. She puts on the finishing touches with a layer of leather over her legs her lizard claws exposed. Flicking her tail out and grasping it with her claws in a nervous manner, turning to her leather wearing sister, “how do I look?"

Daia picks up the mithril coif and slid it over her sister's head. She gingerly slides the ivory horns through the holes it was designed for, “The armor looks great on you, Triss knows what she is doing. You need your mace though" Daia picks up a sizable steel mace from the kobold weapon rack and hands it over. Zulu smiles at her sister looping the weapon to her waist. “We better get going, we are already really late, I had to help Triss and Mother Tiq move more supplies we are going to be trading away" Daia said motioning to the door.

They both start making their way to the eastern exit of the kobold complex. They passed several kobold hatchlings in the hallway, they looked at the two with amazement, fully armed and dressed in shining new gear. Zulu and Daia were beaming with pride. Finally getting ready for their first mission after so many years of training. The air started to get warmer as they neared the exit. Cooler interior air was soon hot from the desert heat of outside. Their eyes were strained even more as they approached the massive stone doors that hung open letting in the light of the bright sandy desert.

Four large carriages sat on a cobblestone road, two war camels in armor tied to each one. Dozens of glittering kobolds ran around putting supplies in the carriages. Standing overlooking the situation were three human paladins in full regalia, there shining full steel plate and a white tabard with a silhouette of a golden dragon within a black circle right in the center. They were listening to Mother Tiq about the mission plans. One of the paladins turned to Zulu and kneeled to greet her. “Zulu, you look amazing, that armor is stunning" It was Samuel with his baritone voice inside the slotted steel helmet. She broke out in a sprint to embrace him. He picked her up and twirled her setting her on her favorite perch, his left broad shoulder. Watching him grow up from a small orphan into the massive man tore at her heart. The brutal training nearly broke his limbs. She was happy when he passed, now the covenant now had another male member.

“Triss made it, she made it from mithril" Zulu said wrapping her tail around the back of Sam's head to rest on his other shoulder.

“Oh, let me see" another voice cries out from inside the second carriage.

A gold kobold hopped out, it was Triss wearing the non-combat attire, a simple leather tunic with simple cloth pants. She looked up at Zulu who was high on her perch. Sam set her back down to let her talk with Triss and left to help the other kobolds move the larger boxes. Zulu was then inspected, ruby eyes inches away from her body as she was looked over. Triss put a claw on the tip of her own muzzle, “I should have made it suit your horns better." The calculated kobold was just about to take her measuring roll out before Zulu stopped her, “It's fine, really. You did a fantastic job, not a single scale misplaced." Triss' worries didn't end as she walked away her tail hanging low. Daia whispered into Zulu's ear, “she needs to get laid." Zulu pushes her playfully, “you need to get laid."

Another kobold runs to meet Daia and Zulu, “you two look so cool, I should have gone to combat school instead." It was Sar, the youngest hatchling of the twelve sisters by a week.

“You're going too?" Zulu asks.

“Yes, I am going with my see-in, Willfry" Proudly showing off her golden ring. Then pointing at the other paladin in his bright armor.

The other two stare in shock, they had no idea she had the eye on one of the new paladins.

“congratulations" Daia said pausing for a moment then smiling greedily, “will you share?"

“N-not yet, I still haven't tried some things, I'm hoping to have more fun when we arrive at the coastal city inn."

Daia just flairs her nostrils with a huff of air. Zulu then calms her by rubbing their muzzles together, “You will get your turn."

The third paladin Father Almer finished his conversation with Mother Tiq, “Alright, form up daughters and paladins." His voice was deep and grainy, age could be heard in his commands. The four kobolds stood in a semi-circle while the two paladins stood at attention. Father Almer continues, “This mission is unique, this will be the first time our covenant is going out alone, without any other covenant's paladins or kingdom involvement. A simple trade mission, but an important one. We need to get more steel; our numbers are growing, and the need to gear is as well. Triss also wanted to empty our armory of arms she made that we did not have a need for. We will be traveling 2 days to get to the coastal kingdom of Durothil to the south, then travel 4 days on the way back. I know you will all be at your best behavior when we arrive." He kneels to talk to the kobolds, “daughters, you will be driving the carriages while the paladins ride in the front cart with the gold, okay." The four of them nod.

“I call back!" Daia said dashing to the 4th carriage.

“I'll get the front." Triss said moving to the 1st cart.

Zulu and Sar look at each other waiting for the other to speak. Their paladins picked them up. Zulu was placed on the 3rd.

“You'll be alright riding?" Samuel asked worried.

“It's fine, these 3 humped furballs are easy to control" She responded with a thumbs up and a bright smile.

His smile was obscured by the helm, “We'll be traveling till it gets too cold, I will see you then" Patting her on the head then heading to the front of the caravan.

The carriages were heavily armored. Mainly used for foot soldiers, they can hold 8 fully kitted knights. They were the only 4 carriages the covenant had; Samuel was even brought to the kingdom in one of them when he was just 10 years old. They had steel bound wood with decorations of dragons etched into the metal plates. Loopholes were built into the sides and back. With the war camels the caravan looked like a movement of troops rather than a sum of 15,000 gold. Their path is simple, they were to make their way south to the neighboring kingdom to purchase the steel. With most of the journey taking place across the open desert, they were not planning on running into any difficulties.

The reins were lashed, the forward cart started to move along the road. The rest of the kobolds followed suit. Their eyes burned with the bright morning sun. “Couldn't we have done this at night!" Daia complained loudly over the sound of the carriages rattling noise. “You want to deal with the cold nights?!" Sar responded while keeping her eyes on where the camels were going. The kobolds agreed on that note, nights were too cold for the cold-blooded.

Heading to the edge of the 30-meter sandstone wall of the kingdom they made their way along it to the south side to the main exit. Their mountain home taking up the entire vista on their right. The kingdom's palace carved into the face of the mountain. Three pillars sculpted high up with specks of people like pepper on the large balconies. On the highest pillar a massive stone door. Only a select few in the kingdom knew the great secret of the kingdom. The great queen was a powerful dragon.

“I really want to meet Qiphyross one day!" Zulu said.

“I'm sure we will, Willfry said she was the absolutely gorgeous!" Sar said.

“There are mothers that work for her, she doesn't allow visitors other than the new paladins!" Triss yells out to them.

“I hope I get a chance to see her in her true form, I only remember seeing her human form for a ceremony with All-Father Skadin!" Daia laments.

Like many of the kobolds, Zulu dreamed of the great golden dragon that watched over them and the kingdom. Bahamut bless her that she gets to see her in her true magnificence.

The caravan continued to the central gate to the south. The large desert kingdom was nearly invincible. Large armies could not travel over the sands with siege weapons so the walls could easily stop attackers. As they approached the central road, they started to see the citizens of the kingdom of Basalt. They passed goblins, humans, dragonkin, and elves. Many years ago, the gold kobolds were once spotted as an oddity in their own city, getting the admiration of aw's and oo's. Their numbers were growing, and they were becoming a more common sight within their home city.

A massive wooden gate started to open as the chains clicked raising the gate above the caravan. As soon as it raised high enough to be cleared the camels pushed forward. When the final carriage slipped by the gate came crashing down swallowing their home behind them. Zulu smiled looking forward at the vast ocean of sand in front of her. She was finally going to see the real world.

Oceans of sand was an understatement, there was literally nothing to see. Just more blinding light reflecting off sand. Sar thought she saw a beetle, but it was just small rock that got pushed by the winds. Night fell and the cold air of the desert made itself known. The kobolds shivered on top of their seats. “alright, go ahead and circle the wagons!" Father Almer yelled out. Triss made the movement on the side of a sandy dune. Sheltering themselves from the harshest of the winds. The rest of the camels followed. The paladins exited the cabin and started to unfasten the camels, herding them into a circle and wrapping them with blankets to shield them from the cold. While kobolds stretched their legs and tails, hopping off the seats and huddled in a circle shivering; the sun long gone. “s's cold" Daia said her teeth chattering. Her leather armor felt like it was going to shatter from the biting cold.

Samuel picked up Zulu and Daia and moved them into the third carriage. Waiting for them was a heat stick and a double bed roll. A simple enchanted quartz rod that emitted a slightly warm red light. The carriage was large, but not large enough for Samuel fully. It had 2 benches on the side where they started to set their belongings. “finally, some warmth, I want to be warm" Daia said stripping off her leather armor then activating the magic stick, tossing it into the bedroll. Zulu started to strip off her half-scaled armor. Samuel reached up and closed the loopholes, the carriage was now pitch black, “I will need to be up in 2 hours to swap out with Willfry to keep watch." Zulu smiled at him as he removed his helm revealing his chiseled smooth face.

Zulu finished taking off her gear and then immediately started to help Sam remove his. She enjoyed watching him relax after removing the armor. His beast plate fell to the wooden floor. Soon to follow was the greaves. He slipped out of his armor to reveal his masculine body. Broad shoulders Zulu got to know very well when the kobolds helped the paladins train for the templar fighting style. His naked body started to warm the cabin despite him shivering from the cold. Sam picked up Zulu and gave her a passionate kiss, “I wish we could enjoy ourselves more, but we really should rest." Zulu just wrapped her scaly arms around his chest absorbing his warmth and closed her eyes. He slid into the double bedroll to his surprise and a hissing bark from Daia. Not wasting a single second, she latched onto Sam's legs wrapping her tail around to his ankles. Feeling his warmth was better than the dull glow of the heat stick.

The three of them were far too cold and tired, only glad to be sheltered, the temperature in the desert soon dropped below freezing. After a short respite Samuel awoken with a knock on the door. He sprang into action picking up the heat rod, using another charge to light up the room. Rummaging around the pile of discarded clothes and armor to find his. Zulu awoken as well from the noise and crawled out of the bedroll. “Please go back to sleep, it's too cold" Samuel pleaded. She was so tired but wanted to help him out anyway. She stumbled and grabbed some of his gear, her tail wrapped around her legs. He donned his armor and gave her a deep kiss in return, their tongues met in each other's mouths, flat lizard tongue, and warm human tongue danced. Samuel broke off and smiled, “I will see you in a couple hours, please rest for the both of us." Desperately not wanting him to leave but too exhausted to do anything about it. She resigned and then slithering back into the bed holding the heat stick. Wrapping herself around her sleeping sister.

Zulu woke up a few hours before sunrise. The strong smell kobold arousal inside the incased bedroll. Daia was happily nuzzling Samuel's sleeping cock, lapping up pre cum that trickled out.

“you couldn't even wait till he woke up?" Zulu whispered, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

“I'm sorry, it's just been too long. I gone through 2 cycles watching them train and I'm desperate." Daia hissed back unapologetic.

“Let me wake him up, I just hope he doesn't get too angry with us, losing that much sleep." Zulu said moving out of the bedroll. Annoyed at her sister's lack of self-control.

Zulu popped up to Samuel's head who was sound asleep. She gently pushed under his chin with her snout nudging him to the waking world. He looked so tired, drained from the harsh cold to watch the camp.

“hmm, what's going on?" Stirring half asleep.

“I'm sorry to wake you up honey, but… well…" trying to form the right words in her head.

Sam felt the slimy tongue on his waist lapping at his penis with vigor. He reached down and felt the horns of Daia. “What?!" jumping up sliding away from Daia's maw.

“It's okay, please." Zulu said holding onto his chest.

Daia popped out of the bedroll panting needily. The smell of her sex was overwhelming even to the human. Filling the carriage with a copper metal smell with a sulfur bitterness.

Samuel knew of kobold ways; they did not do monogamy like most hominid races. Instead, they had primary partners, the female then chooses other females to mate with their male. This ensured that many females got to lay for the colony. This ensured the growth of the society. This case was his first time sharing the bed with someone other than Zulu.

“I know it's early and you need to sleep, but Daia has been waiting a really long time, and she is my closest clutchmate." Zulu said trying to have him look into her emerald eyes. She recalled times when Daia got disciplined for trying to spy on the trainees as she was going through her cycle. All 12 sisters got punished for that.

Samuel just stared off into the darkness, his eyes not catching any light in the room. He turned to the sound of Zulu's voice and smiled, “I have to listen to my see-in, it's a part of my oath to Bahamut to care for you and the rest of the kobolds." It also did not help his own arousal was growing from the kobold's efforts.

Daia made a happy thrum with the back of her throat as she moved down to her prize. Lapping again at the warm cock she wanted.

Samuel picked the two kobolds, Daia protested not wanting to be separated from his cock, slapping him with her scaled tail. He held them close and set them on top of the bed roll. He laid down next to them, “Please keep quiet your mother Tiq will probably be keeping watch outside."

Zulu and Daia just giggled, their mothers know how insatiable a young kobold can get with their protectors.

Daia now free from the covers of the bedroll placed herself between his warm thighs. She stuffed her muzzle between his balls and inhaled deeply before she placed the phallic onto her tongue. Eagerly milking it to get it hard.

Zulu looked on with a smile on her face as her sister serviced her see-in. Starting to feel the arousal herself. She was then lifted again; her small body was like a toy to her paladin. She glanced down as her cloaca entrance was placed right onto his warm mouth. “Please don't, it's dirty" she said trying to squirm out of his grasp.

He ignored her and started to lick her vent scales, the taste was not pleasant, it had a sulfur salt taste that bit back, but he continued to serve.

Zulu made a clicking low growl, kicking her talons out to catch the bedroll at the side of his head before he let her free. He began to support her his hands rubbing her scaled back and chest. She pressed her cloaca down harder grinding her haunches on the side of his face. The warm tongue danced on her vent sending shivers through her whole body. She unconsciously played with his hair with her tail. Her eyes looked up after finding her footing, and saw her sister was still working on him.

Daia was struggling to lap up his hardening cock, it was soon too big to fit in her jaws. With an audible pop, she let the dick free. She nuzzled it and then danced her claws on the sensitive flesh that elicited a twitch.

Zulu leaned forward in his warm hands while keeping her sex planted firmly on his mouth. “see my love marks" she cooed to her sister, stretching out her arms to the sides of his stomach where three lines of scars were on each of his flanks.

Daia panted and stood up to admire them, “You're such a bad girl." Positioning herself over the awaiting member, she started to slowly descend.

The head of the shaft pushed into Daia's wet cloaca with ease. She let out a gasp of pleasure and then left her mouth hang open. Gravity slid her down slowly stretching her sex as her legs started to give out from the pleasure. She was halfway down before her body started to work on its own. Grinding her hips pushing him further into her. “Oh, Bahamut, thank you for this gift" she prayed as her first orgasm rolled through her. Her spasming sex streamed out fluid as it contracted and milked his cock. The kobold's body was not able to move on her own terms as she continued to slide down, she was completely hilted. Quaking in complete ecstasy.

Daia was completely stuffed and stretched. She fell forward onto his stomach meeting her sister. They stared into each other's eyes. Zulu whispered instructions to her “go ahead and start pumping away at him, he really enjoys it." Daia started to move her hips up and down on the cock.

The sight of her sister's enjoyment made her own sex pulse with excitement. Then she felt the hot tongue enter. Zulu to moan loudly, his tongue finally entered to explore her anatomy. Daia smiled at her with gasps between her words, “I… told you… a warm… t-tongue was… ffffantastic." Zulu rolled back onto her mate's face as his tongue started to lap inside, sending her spinning in ecstasy. It was incredible, the slimy muscle teased every sensitive spot her body had to offer with a simple flick.

Daia was gyrating her haunches, feeling every inch of her own cloaca scream in pleasure, she watched her sister do the same thing. Both their slender frames were dancing with every movement. Their tails flicking around the room freely. It was hypnotic dance hidden in darkness.

Samuel was lost in arousal; his member teased with the small movement of Daia's pulsing body. The bitter taste on his mouth now tasted good. Face covered in the juices from Zulu. He wanted more; he glided his tongue as deep as it would go, feeling her spasms as it was trying to milk his tongue for semen. He felt the different entrances inside, lapping at them all caused her to shudder in different ways. Soon finding a patch of flesh inside that elicited the most movement from her. His tongue paid special attention to it, lapping at it eagerly. The juices started to flow heavily as she tried to squeeze his head between her thighs.

“Oh vents!" Zulu exclaimed as she was twitching on his head. She let out a bellow as her jaws hung open. Stars were sparkling in her vision as lightning was shooting up her spine, she released herself. Barely keeping herself upright she completely relaxed in his arms. Desperately sucking in air to fill in her tiny lungs.

Daia was concentrating on her own pleasure, looking up at her sister who was stiff, her muscles locking from a powerful orgasm. The sight made her coo, “Looking… goooood…"

Zulu was set to the side unconscious, her tongue hung out of her scaled lips with a smile of absolute bliss on her face.

Sam swallowed the fluid that was in his mouth than sat up. Daia's slow movement was too much teasing for him. She eyed up at his massive body and swallowed with a twinkle of fear in her eyes. He grabbed her shoulders with each hand. “Please be gentile…" is all she could say before her body was completely under his control. She was lifted off his cock his warm sex leaving her feeling empty. Only to be pushed back down with an audible wet slap. The tight cloaca stretched around him sending shocks of pleasure as he hilted her again.

“Ooouua" Daia mumbled, the rapid movement made her shudder.

Sam flipped over the top of her, forcing her into the bedroll. Zulu was now snoring next to Daia's head. All she could do was stare at his massive chest as her legs were spread around his waist. His hand was pressed to her chest locking her in place. Then he started to move his hips. Pushing her into the padding. Pumping her cloaca fast and hard, brushing every inch of her insides. Every pump made her squeak in pleasure, nothing intelligible was coming out of her mouth. All she was thinking about was trying to hold on as the waves of pleasure rolled over her. Sam was lost in his own sea, just making the occasional grunt as he took the kobold for her ride.

She lost how many times her sex tried to convulse him into orgasm, desperate to please him to make him stop. Her mouth was open and drooling when she suddenly felt a powerful serge of warmth enter her. He let go of her and spread her legs wide to get as deep as he could, stretching her worn cloaca to the limit. This caused her to jump up and latch around his back with her claws holding onto him. She pulled and tightened all her muscles around him. Even her tail wrapped around his back to try and hold. The pain prolonged his orgasm, his cock pulsed heavily, filling her with warmth right into her core. The smell of blood and cum was now mixed with every other scent in the confined compartment.

Sam huffed feeling pain on his back. The impaled kobold was latched around him gasping, trying to fill her lungs with fresh air from the workout. He unfastened Daia from his back feeling a sting from her claws as she fell to the bedroll unconscious. Her sex was overflowing with semen. He shifted his hand with an open palm closed fingers and touched his chest. The hand glowed bright white revealing the two golden bodies of the kobolds and the pain vanished. He picked up the two passed out kobolds and slid them into the bedroll followed by himself before slipping into sleep.

A small knock was on the door, the sun was started to come up. “Time to eat breakfast" Tiq's silky voice said outside. The three lovers panicked thinking they were late. They jumped up out of the bedroll drained from the lack of sleep and their workout from earlier. Samuel opened the loopholes to let the light into the carriage.

Daia turned to her now radiant sister. “Thank you, I really needed that" reaching to her pile of clothes, legs wobbly from being spread out like wishbones.

“You should thank Samuel; he did all the work" with a bright smile hiding the fact she was annoyed that he had to perform without getting any sleep. Her own muscles ached from the orgasms.

Daia moved behind Sam who was sitting down gathering his clothes. She wrapped her arms around his back pressing her scaly chest to his smooth back, “Thank you" whispering and then nuzzling his shoulder.

“I enjoyed it as well" he responded, trying to put on his cloth padding. His blue eyes betrayed that he was extremely tired half lidded and bloodshot. “Zulu and me were just as needy our first time." He looked back and then kissed the golden kobold on her muzzle and then smiled at her. She melted, collapsing to her haunches and wrapped her tail around her talons. Always thinking that the paladins would not show any love outside their see-in's wishes. Zulu put her muzzle on top of Daia's head staring at the back of Samuel, “what's wrong?"

“Nothing" Daia said staring at Samuel's back. She smiled with glee as there was now a set of claw marks on his back. “look, I made love marks" she said to her sister with a renewed giddiness in her voice, pointing them out. They were small three-inch claw marks on the back below the shoulder blades. Marking their paladins was always something the gold kobolds took pride in. Even though the older mothers always told the daughters to stop that trend. The paladins never complained about it, being able to heal it immediately helped. On top of that, it came with their duties and it put a smile on the kobolds faces. Zulu hugged tighter, “I'm happy you're feeling better."

They finished getting their gear on and hopped out of the carriage into the cold sand. Zulu purposefully left the carriage open in hopes to air out the strong scent from their activities. Samuel walked to the fire that Tiq had going, inside a pan was several diced potatoes and eggs. No one else was up yet, confusing him. She was wearing a wool dress to stave off the cold. She looked up at him with bright green eyes and 2 sets of small ivory horns on the back of her head. A bright smile on her muzzle, “You smell like you had a lot of fun." Samuel's face burned with embarrassment inside his helm. “Hello mother" Zulu and Daia said in unison walking up to the warmth of the fire.

She scowled at the kobolds, “you two shouldn't keep our protectors up all night, they need their rest to better watch over us." Moving to plate some food, “There is a time and place for everything, the middle of a desert, isn't one of them."

The two chastised kobolds slump their shoulders meekly digging their talons into the sand.

“That's why I woke you three up first" Tiq looked up at Samuel her smile returning, “and you do have the power to say no, you aren't a puppet."

He stood there speechless with an urge to stand at attention to her.

The motherly kobold moved her claw to tap on his left leg, “I know what it's like to be young, but please, you need to set boundaries as well, the girls need them so you can build a healthy relationship with them."

Zulu grabbed a plate of food starving for a meal and started to eat quickly; thinking she should have trusted herself and been stricter with her sister.

Daia was feeling low herself, she looked up at Sam and clutched his gauntlet. Her golden head starting to shine from the breaking sun on the horizon.

None of them said anything to Tiq, any excuses or blame just made things worst. Lessons they were all taught as they grew up in the covenant.

They finished their food in silence sitting on a blanket in the sand. The others started to awaken; the sky was brilliant orange. They began to eat chatting amongst themselves while Samuel got the camels looped to their carriages. Daia and Zulu jumped into the back of her carriage; the scent was still lingering.

Daia spoke up weakly, “I'm sorry."

Letting out a long sigh, “It's okay, mother wasn't that mad. But you will need to clean up the bedding."

They both look at the bedroll, “Fine"

“Also, you will need to make it up to Sam sometime, probably thinks you just look at him as a piece of warm meat."

Daia shocked by the statement, “That's not true, we all grew up with each other!"
