Pokemon: The Haunted Lodge (1/4)
Imported from SF2 with no description.
North of Kanto, a great mountain peak rose over already mountainous terrain. A sharp, icy peak overlooked slopes and valleys laden with pine forests and bright meadows carpeted in alpine flowers. The Highpine Region was wild, abundant with pokemon in the tall, blue-tinged grass.
Penny made her way up a set of stairs carved into lichen mottled rock, the latest trial as her thighs felt the burn. They were thick already and she wondered how they would look if she kept up all the hiking she was doing lately.
Atop the stairs, the path led across a log bridge to a cave flanked by two waterfalls tumbling down a sheer cliff. The view was stunning. Three days of wilderness refelcted in her round glasses. Dark hair spilled out the back of her cap and had collected some pine needles, lending their scent to the mountain air. Pleasant. But those that ended up in her flannel wrapped cleavage were less pleasant. The top button of her shirt had not been able to contain all the assets of the short, thick woman.
There wasn't much time to admire the view as the grass began to rustle. Penny's hand moved to the belt of her cargo pants where three pokeballs were affixed.
Buzz, Magnemite - A gift from the pokemon lab back home. She had a summer job there back in high school and the researchers were impressed by her knowledge of pokemon biology.
Honey, Beedrill - The strongest of the many weedle she had raised. Penny had taught her beedrill to be very precise with the speedy, furious attacks she could launch.
Aura, Butterfree - A shiny version, quite eye catching even to those not fascinated with bug types. But Aura wasn't just for looks. Anything too tough for Honey to beat up and too insulated for Buzz to shock, was put to sleep or confused.
Onward and downward the journey continued. Her flashlight swept over the subterranean world of tunenls, stalagmites and jagged features. Highpine Geodudes were abundant. These pokemon were covered in patches of moss, lending them a secondary grass type. Honey sent them tumbling off with fury attackks though infrequently one of their vine whips connected. The Beedrill's status dipped into the yellow on the status monitor.
Switching to Aura, she tackled the second hour of travel. Aura's wings shimmered as she whipped up whirlwinds to toss hostile pokemon away one after the other. One of the geodudes crashed through a stalagmite. Another showed up in time to grab a chunk of rocky debris and score a blow on Aura with rock throw. On command, a wavy purple energy surrounded the thrower and confusion dealt with it.
A bridge crossed an open pit, flooded at the bottom and fed by water falling out of the darkness. An odd chittering noise disguised itself among the crashing water. Soon enough, the source revealed itself by swooping out of the shadows and slamming into Penny tossing her back onto her butt. Just before the flashlight went spinning off and below, it revealed the attacker as a Golbat. Its tongue gave her a slimy slap on the cheek, then slid into her cleavage briefly. She shrieked and kicked it off with both boots.
The Golbat only ate Honey's sharp barbs, spiraling down to the water with a plunk. Though this had stirred up the swarm of other -bats nesting on the ceiling. A cacophony of screeching was rising in volume, fast. Honey was struck twice more by swooping Zubat, then recalled.
Penny released Aura, "Sleep powder- and don't let up!"
A plume of shining dust shot up and then spread, soon filling the caves. Penny pulled her undershirt over her nose, trailing Aura at a sprint as the dust snowed down among falling Zubats.
At last appeared a glowing gate back to the surface. Outside were grassy foothills, swaying with a chilly breeze. The hills formed a crescent shaped path around the edge of the mountain side, with a thick forest crowding the higher slopes. At the far end, a sight for sore eyes though it did a lot of good for a sore back, feet and legs as well. The Trainer's Lodge. Four stories glowing warmly from tall windows and smoke curling up from its log roof. The building looked like a lumberjack's vision of a grand mansion.
From the lodge's deck, she could see the village of Candlenut down a set of switchbacks. A small but cozy collection of log cabins and a striking white pine at the center of a park.
A shadow fell over Penny and she was blasted with a current of air. A flapping of wings as something large descended quickly right on top of her. Or close enough to make her heart leap and she stumbled backwards smacking against the deck's banister. A Fearow craned its long neck, examining her at an uncomfortably close range before it was recalled.
Penny adjusted her glasses and the person who just landed came into view. Immediately she wanted to un-adjust them once she found Blaire standing before her.
Her hair was colored pink, shifting to white at the tips. Gathered into two tufts that flowed down just below her bare shoulders. A dark red corset hugged the middle of her tall, hourglass shape and contained her perky breasts in fur lined cups. Wavy folds of her skirt hung high on notably long and shapely legs, hugged by a pair of wool long socks. Blaire was a head, shoulders and boobs taller, with plump lips smirking from on high. Head tilted and an eyebrow arched while she watched Penny.
"OH EM! gee. Penny! I never expected to run into you up here!"
"Could have fooled me with that landing," Penny grumbled, "You've got yourself a flying pokemon already?"
Blaire tapped her pokegear, "M-hmm! I just traded with one of my subs on trainertube. Trading is really easy. People will take just about anything- hair ties, socks, um...other stuff,"
She took a shot of the lodge and panned around in a circle coming back to focus on Penny.
"They give stream cards to the hottest trainers. And we get to go visit the most chic places, put them on the map and stuff,"
Since Penny had nothing nice to say she decided to end the conversation. She was only a few steps toward the lodge when Blaire called out.
"Hold on! We can't blow a chance to battle with a view like this! Plus we're like, pokemon rivals!"
"This has nothing to do with pokemon!" Penny said as she aimed a finger at Blair, "You're a psycho! You used to steal my boyfriends back in high school and call me a short, fat muppet behind my back!"
The camera zoomed in on Penny's glowering face, "Well I'm still challenging you!"
Penny frowned, palming one of her pokeballs. They had taken a beating coming up here...This wasn't looking good.
She deployed Buzz first. His condition was still green, but could he pull it off? The Sableye Blaire sent out didn't think so.
"Sableye! Uh...Tackle that voltorb!"
The Pokemon tilted its head in confusion. Penny felt her chances rising somewhat as her opponent was preoccupied with her chat room.
Thundershock!
Buzz glowed and lightning arced, slamming into the Sableye. It knelt but stood again quickly. Its condition was barely nudged. It was tough enough to tank the damage. Evidently Blaire had traded more than one pokemon.
"Oh, right! Confuse ray!" Blaire shouted. The simps in chat had come to the rescue.
Her pokemon's gem-like eyes glowed and erupted, leaving Buzz spinning in the air. This was followed by <Shadow Claw>. The Sableye leapt and sharp black voids trailed from its claws. Buzz fell to the deck a moment after its magnets, all collected back into the pokeball.
Penny took a deep breath and tossed out Aura. Blaire responded with a Duskull.
Confusion!
Duskull recoiled as its eyes flared. The attack took down about three quarters of its health. Blaire's attention was still on the screen of her pokegear.
Um, shadow sneak?
The Duskull's shadow surged over the deck and manifested itself into a black tentacle, lashing at Aura a couple times. She swiftly darted around the strikes and a second confusion attack knocked the Duskull out.
Blaire pouted, stomping a heel in frustration but then sent out her starter- Murkrow. The pokemon bolted forward on wings of shadow, knocking Aura for a spin. She fluttered backwards but Penny recalled her before she could hit the deck. It was all on Honey at this point.
Fury attack!
The two pokemon spiraled upward, with wings and spikes flying. Suddenly a ring of shadow blasted out from the murkrow. It landed while Honey flitted down in a spiral and slumped to the deck. Penny was out of useable pokemon only steps away from the lodge's door.
It wasn't the end of the world, but it still felt like a gut punch. A miscalculation, she hadn't been able to steer her team through this route. Collecting herself, she sighed and walked over to shake hands with Blaire.
"Good match,"
But Blaire only reached down and patted her on the head.
"Good try, but you've got work to do. I won't take your money, that's just not me,"
She was sure to proclaim the last part toward the pokegear's camera. With that she pranced off into the lodge chatting with her viewers excitedly.
