Running on Empty

Chapter 4

By Roofles

It was days later that Keith had gotten around to asking the great dane what had happened that night. The two slept in the same bed from then on, be in during an afternoon nap alone or together. Such a thing as a kiss never happened again, only friendly cuddles from a needy canine. Keith appreciated it though, it was nice to wake up next to someone again. It was a large bed, designed for someone of Diesel's size in mind. The two could easy fit on it back to back.

Keith so far found that the great dane preferred to sleep on his back, claiming it helped with the snoring. As such Diesel took up most the bed, spreading out over it and allowing Keith to tuck himself in “Wherever" he liked too. Under an arm, half resting on that burly chest was the most comfortable Keith had found out after trying several other positions. Diesel found the whole thing extremely satisfying as in the end the human wanted to cuddle up under an arm and close to him, usually his left side. It also allowed the canine to nose down at his dear friend.

“You just smell so good," the conversation started off as. Diesel tip toeing around the subject. “Can't help but snort you all up."

Keith rolled his eyes at that. “As lovely as an image as that is… I was just wondering about when you…" Keith didn't want to accuse or come off as if he were blaming the great dane for what happened. The human hadn't stopped him, even if he couldn't see; Keith hadn't pulled back away from that kiss. In fact, he found himself enjoying it more than he'd ever thought he might. It had just taken him off guard.

It was on Diesel's request that they talk about such things. To be open with one another from now on and not keeps things inside. Diesel didn't want to misread a smell from Keith and the human finding it difficult to read what Diesel was thinking without being able to read his smell. Which was why it was troubling to see the smoky gray furred canine dodging his questions.

“I got work here soon." Diesel got up and Keith joined him. The whole bed creaked and shifted at Diesel's weight, forcing the human to roll over with him and wait for Diesel to get off before following after. Sometimes It felt like being on a boat, rocking back and forth at the shifting weight of the great dane on it.

“Diesel." Keith was frowning now. It wasn't like he wanted to talk about this either. They hadn't done anything like that before. They were open, they cuddled and shared things. “About what happened…"

Diesel had his back facing the human halfway down the hallway. He was rubbing the back of his neck, not even looking at him. “I-it was an accident." Keith nodded at that, figuring as much. “It's just… it's not a canine thing to do!" The great dane turned around quickly to face him, getting flustered over this. “We lick, we sniff, we hug and touch…"

“Ok." Keith just said, waiting for his friend to continue. Diesel had been thinking about this far more than Keith had thought. The human could tell his friend had been anxious around him since then as if worried if or when he was going to ask. It had been one reason why he had put it off, wanting Diesel to calm down about it.

“It's… unfamiliar territory." Diesel finally just mentioned, as if that explained things. The great dane rubbed over one arm, once more he was naked in their apartment. When it was just the two of them, Diesel would just strip down to nothing. Keith made sure to keep his eyes firmly locked onto the canine's face. “I've seen humans do it.. Kissing. Read up on It a little. Was just trying it out…"

“To you… is it no difference than a lick?" Keith sighed, a bit relieved by it all. It was nice for a change for him to explain something to Diesel than the other way around. The canine had a habit of acting almost superior, Keith unable to smell just how nervous Diesel had been. Arrogant on such things as if he were experienced in all of this.

It was nice to see the great dane getting so flustered and worked up for a change.

“It's something you share with those you love and care for." Diesel spoke as if he was reading it from the dictionary.

Keith chuckled at that. “True. Friends and family do it too, though Dee. Usually not on the lips." Keith admitted, trying not to get too embarrassed recalling what had happened. “Some… some friends and family due, just not a normal thing.

“Well, I was aiming for your nose!" Diesel said a bit angrily, getting hot headed and defensive about it. The canine's jowls didn't lift, he wasn't growling and those heavy ears stayed drooped down the side of his face. Keith knew by now that Diesel, although disgruntled about it all, wasn't mad either.

This actually made him seem more human, showing his emotions so openly.

“It's fine, really." Keith just shook his head. “I'm just glad you told me." Keith had taken a step closer, ending up placing a hand on his friend's chest. Diesel took hold of it and they looked at each other. The awkwardness level quickly increased until Keith pulled back. “If you ever want. I can show you how to do it. In case of…." Keith wasn't sure where he was going with that and ended up just stopping there.

Diesel was flushed in the cheek and the inner part of his heavy ears were a dark maroon by now. “Well… it's just, I don't have the uh… lips for it." Diesel made a kissing face, then felt stupid for doing it. Keith chuckled making Diesel blush even more. “See…"

“Well, the side of your lips are rather thick." Keith offered, then shook his head. Diesel was just frowning now at him, being teased like this. Keith wanted to reach out and poke one of those jowls. They looked so squishy. “And it's not like it was bad or 'nothin…"

“I can do better!" Diesel huffed, getting frustrated now at himself. The great dane would usually get frustrated with himself before anyone else, blaming his own awkwardness for the problem.

“Well, you got work here soon." Keith just chuckled moving closer once more. The human had to get on his tip toes to give Diesel a small kiss on the chin, unable to reach any other part of his face. The seven two great dane towered over the six-foot human when Diesel was standing tall like this. When he was standing normally, Keith only came up to the canine's chest. “I'll see you when you get home?"

“Of course." Diesel just smiled down at him. The great dane moved Keith back a bit so he could bend down and give the human a small lick on the cheek. “Where else would I ever go?"

The two exchanged farewells, a hug and Keith got ready for class while Diesel put on whatever he had been wearing the other day. Unlike a human, the canine didn't sweat in the usual sense allowing him to go days without showers and even re-wear his clothes. While Keith liked to take most the morning just getting ready for his work or school, Diesel put things off until the very last minute.

Diesel waved one last time to Keith, greeting Marshal at the door and the two walked down the stairs together. The two canines had similar schedules and would usually try to head out together.

“You tell him?" Marshal was the one to bring it up, the large tan mastiff having been the one to convince Diesel in the end to get this over with.

“My roomie doesn't need to know everything I do with my day. I don't tell him when I take a shit either." Diesel just grumbled bitterly, still flushing a bit in the cheeks. The great dane stopped, placing a hand on his chin from where Keith had kissed him. It only made him more flustered about all this.

“Lucky bastard can't smell when you do." Marshal gave a heavy gruff bark of a laugh at that, just heading down a few more steps before looking back up at him. “You coming or what?"

“Am I doing the right thing about this?" Diesel just asked down to him. Marshal frowned at that, or maybe that was just how the mastiff's face usually looked. Marshal had been waiting for a “that's what she said" joke or something about cuming like they normally did with each other.

Ever since that human had moved in, his friend had been conflicted and confused, worried about shit that normally would have never troubled the great dane before. As annoying as this was to deal with, it was one of the reasons why Marshal, who owned the apartment complex, let the human move in. For his friend, otherwise no human was setting a damn foot in this place if he could help it.

“Look." Marshal just gave a heavy sigh, rubbing the brow of his muzzle with two fingers. “He's your human." Diesel just frowned at that, but didn't deny it. “Your responsible for this kind of crap… Anyone else, though… would have dealt with this weeks ago." Marshal just looked to one side now not able to look at his friend. This emotional crap got under his fur like an ingrown hair. Marshal was just glad someone had somehow convinced Diesel to finally talk to his mate about all this shit. And hopefully break up after the emotional turmoil he had put Diesel through.

“I don't think I ever thanked you, for letting him stay here with me." Diesel walked down the steps to join Marshal.

“You never even told me he was moving in!" Diesel winced at that, giving him a smile as an apology. “Not until you pulled up with him in your car…." Marshal pointed out with a heavy frown. Once more Diesel was unsure if he was actually frowning or that was just how the mastiff's face looked.

Diesel gave a guilty grin at that. “Did I? Can't recall?" He scratched his chin, looking in the opposite direction and would be whistling if a canine could whistle.

The two headed down the rest of the steps together.

“Just go and talk to Jimbo, get this over with. When you get back… your human will be waiting for you and you can bum fuck him until morning." Marshal just spat to the side as they got outside. Diesel could smell the mastiff's embarrassment at thinking of the two-fucking next door.

Diesel flushed even more at that and the great dane gave his friend a good punch to the arm. “We aren't like that."

“Too bad." Marshal just gave him a one sided grin at that, Diesel could see the tip of his teeth. “If you don't hit that. I might just have too."

Diesel gave him a growl at that, knowing Marshal was just fucking with him now.

The mastiff shrugged. “Well, if I don't. Someone might."

“Like who?" Diesel snorted, stopping once more and facing towards the mastiff as if demanding a name.

“Well… you're interested." Marshal just offered back with a heavy one shoulder shrug. “Kids cute. Subby little human like that. Get picked up before long. But… you two aren't together, so like who cares. Right?"

The great dane only growled at that, turning away. “Right…"

Marshal chuckled at the look on Diesel face, shaking his own head and heading out. “Such a child." The two parted waves without even giving each other a hug and Diesel just continued to grumble as he headed out to get this over with.

Keith went to the community college on the outskirts of the city. It was far cheaper for only a couple more minute of driving. The old car chugged along and Keith was just waiting for it to give out any second now. The human didn't focus too much on the future, he lived by the day and was just glad he made it to school once more without the wheels and doors falling off the thing.

His class building was a little way in from the parking lot and Keith was sweating a bit by the time he stopped outside of the classroom. Even preparing ahead of time, he couldn't calculate for traffic and had ended up late, again. Keith refused to speed, not able to afford getting his car taken away or getting a ticket.

The human ducked down, half army crawling his way in through the back door until he hit the chairs; crouching down behind them, Keith made his way behind the seats to his own on the other end.

The teacher wouldn't care, it was for Keith's own pride that he didn't want to get notice as he slipped in next to a rather large Doberman.

“What did I miss?" Keith whispered, asking the canine as he took the seat. The Doberman just moved his spiral notebook over for Keith to get a view of it; like the human, Gus couldn't afford a laptop like most the others in class.

There was a picture of a dog being hanged on the paper and Keith covered his mouth, laughing at that.

“Why is his balls so big?" Keith had to ask.

“Those are his hands…" Gus's face split in a smile, the bored canine wagging his tail now that his classmate had joined him once more.

“Sure, they are." Keith only teased, nudging his side and pulling out his things. “With hands like those, why do you need friends?"

Gus rolled his eyes. The Doberman scooted over a bit closer bumping his thigh against the human's now. Keith tried not to let it show that it bothered him. Not that he minded closeness, it was the fact they were in the classroom. In public like this as Gus slipped a foot out of the sandal he was wearing and placed it on Keith's shoe, curling his toes around it.

“How are you guys doing?" Gus asked thirty minutes later as the teacher continued to drone on about molecular biology.

“Fine, why?" Keith just continued to take notes for the two of them. Gus had missed the first few days of classes and had gone around asking if he could borrow anyone notes. Keith was the only one who seemed to give the canine two seconds of their time, let alone the notes he needed before the first quiz. It wasn't long after that they had become good friends, hanging out during the school hours. The two having several classes together.

Something you'd easily notice in High School or such. Some of their classes were filled to the limit with students however and it was easy to get lost in the amphitheater sized room. Even Gus couldn't sniff him out amongst all the others.

Gus rested his large muzzle on one hand, half-asleep. He looked over at the human, touching a finger to his nose. Gus could smell the human sweat and it made his tail wag.

Keith sighed. “Can't hide anything from you, huh?" The Doberman grinned at that. “Nothing wrong, just things didn't go as I thought I guess? I thought…" Keith shrugged. “Misread a signal or something." The human shook his head. “Hate playing games…"

“What about in the bedroom?" Gus just grinned at the look that passed over the human's face. Keith chuckled at that, flushing a bit more in the cheeks.

“Well, that's different." Keith was already packing up his things before the class had ended and Gus joined him, the two heading out together. There wasn't a bell, they weren't children anymore; and the sound of it bothered several of the non-humans in class.

“Here." Gus motioned over to the vending machine. “I'll buy ya' a drink, tell me all about it." Gus was a muscular canine, unable to match Diesel's mass but putting Keith to shame in size still. Gus was mostly covered in black fur with tan markings on his legs, inner ears and underneath his tail as if the canine was wearing a rather large black fur coat.

“Thanks." Keith took the drink, popping it open with a single hand and took a drink of it as he checked his phone. The human frowned a bit, seeing he hadn't gotten any messages from Diesel. That wasn't like the great dane, maybe he was troubled by what they had talked about this morning. “Well, just we're close you know…"

Gus nodded at that, the two taking a seat at one of the metal picnic tables outside. Their next class was still a little ways off. The Doberman could smell the great dane on the human the second they met. The smell was strong. The thing Gus noted most was that though the human smelled like a dog, he hadn't been marked by one yet either.

“The other day we accidentally sort of uh… kissed?" Keith asked aloud thinking it over. He shook his head, laughing a little at it and his cheeks turning that red again. Even without his sharp nose, Gus could read Keith like a book. “It was an accident. Diesel apologized and we've just been kind of… stale since."

Gus nodded at that, sitting on the opposite side of the table. One of his legs bumped Keith's and the human wasn't surprised when the larger male placed a hand over his on the table. Canines could be extremely affectionate at times. “I understand." Gus just said, his voice husky.

A coarse paw padded finger rubbed over his bare hand and Keith shuddered a bit. It reminded him of when Diesel did that. Gus sharp triangular ears perked up at the sight, a small toothy grin pulling at his muzzle.

“It's cold." Keith just chuckled, brushing a lock of hair out of his face. He needed to get his dirty blonde hair cut again. He didn't mind letting it grow out a little, like his facial hair. It made him feel as if… he fit in, if only a little bit more with the canines.

Gus pulled back at that, standing up and walked over. The dog stripped his coat off and before Keith could fully object draped it over his shoulders, taking a seat next to him now. Keith flushed a bit as that hand placed itself back on top of Keith's. The jacket had Gus's strong musk to it and was warm from the canine. It made Keith think of when Diesel had done that last time the two had been out together.

“I'm sorry things didn't work out between you two, I know how much you wanted it too." Gus said with a few nods.

“It wasn't like I really wanted it too…" Keith sighed, shaking his head. “Sorry for talking about this with you."

The Doberman shook his head. “What are friends for?" That broad black fur muzzle moved over towards his cheek, giving it several small sniffs.

“Thanks." Keith only flushed a bit more as the two continued to talk during their break. They soon pulled out their textbooks, both getting a used one for the class. Neither of the two could afford the several hundred dollar new ones. The two could relate to each other, both being poor and scrapping by.

“You don't work tonight, do ya?" Gus asked already knowing as he walked Keith to his next class.

“Not that I know of." Keith was checking his phone again, a bit worried he hadn't gotten a single text from his roommate.

“Well, we got that test coming up here soon. Want to come over to my place? Could study together." Gus just lightly offered, stopping next to the entryway. “I'll order us a pizza. Have some beer. Make a night of it."

Keith took a few seconds on that to think about, still looking down at his phone. The screen was blank and no matter how hard his eyes bore into it he didn't get a single reply from the great dane. Diesel must've been more annoyed with him than he had thought, not even sending him one of those emoticons he loved so much.

“Sure." The human just finally said, looking back up and tucking his phone away. “I do need some help on it. I didn't do so great on the last one."

Gus just smiled at that. “Don't worry, I'll help ya' dude." And the two exchanged a hug. Keith could feel the whiskers brush over his cheek before they parted ways and Keith headed into his class.

Diesel was out near Parker street, an area usually populated with other canines like themselves. The great dane wasn't alone, a heavy pitbull was sitting on the other side of the table outside in front of a bunch of food trucks. Most were owned by canines, being one of the few jobs they could get. Diesel had lured Jimbo out with the prospect of free food, bringing him out here to a public area to have this talk with.

Diesel was sure there were ears turned in their direction as he finally started up. They had gotten their drinks after placing the order at a burger and fries food truck, ran by a rather heavy set German Shepherd. Franky was a great dog that made some of the best hot dogs in town; Diesel made sure to make a mental note of it, planning to bring Keith here someday.

“How are you doing?" Diesel just asked.

The nearly orange fur pitbull was just staring off to the side with heavy bags under his eyes. Jimbo didn't even look over at him. The pitbull barely looked at him anymore these days as if the other canine was on his last legs and was about to be put down.

“Same old, same old." Jimbo just replied with a dry, empty tone. The canine seemed exhausted as if he just got off a triple shift at work; Diesel knew Jimbo barely did part-time let alone over-time.

“I see…" Diesel just took a drink, scooping up a piece of ice with his tongue from the glass and giving it a good chomp. Jimbo flinched at that, looking over at him now.

“I hate when you do that." Jimbo growled, his eyes darting over towards him.

“Is there anything I do that you like anymore?" Diesel already felt exhausted himself talking with his mate. To call him that might have been stretching the truth a bit. There was a buzz in his pocket, the great dane ignored his phone. He didn't want to talk to Keith right now, or Marshal. The two texting him for very different reasons.

Jimbo just looked back off to the side. It was a nice day out and a cool breeze was blowing. At one time Jimbo and Diesel had been nearly equal in weight. The years had not been kind to the other dog however. His lethargic lifestyle quickly catching up to him. Jimbo having gained nearly seventy-five pounds in the past year. The muscle atrophying and being replaced by fat as the pitbull rather stay at home watching Netflix, that Diesel paid for, instead of hitting the gym.

Diesel couldn't afford a gym pass either, which had been Jimbo's excuse at first. Diesel had created his own at home. Nowadays however, Jimbo didn't even bother giving an excuse for why he didn't do things.

“What about school?" Diesel brow dropped down as he tried to keep his tone light and friendly. “You still are going to school, right?"

“I guess I am? Haven't been dropped yet." Jimbo just replied still staring off to the side.

Diesel wanted to growl, reach across the table and pull the dog right up into his face. Yell at him, demand he snap out of this funk already. The great dane just shook his head though. “What can I do?" He asked again. How many times was it now that he had asked such a thing?

Every time was the same. Jimbo would grunt or shrug and ask for nothing.

“I paid for counseling. I set up doctor appointments. I've done everything I could." Diesel just shook his head, looking down at the glass of water in front of him. He was holding it with both hands, unsure what else to do.

Jimbo had once upon a time ago been a big fish in a very small pond. He was the high school all-star that everyone wanted to know and be friends with. The two of them had been in the football team, the coolest kids in their all canine school. Jimbo had been on top of the world. That was until they left.

Where he had been seen as a king before, the biggest fish out there… he quickly learned just how small and tiny he really was in the grand scheme of things. He was just another average fish in a gigantic ocean when they finally graduated. There were no jobs out there for him, no one kept in touch and in college he was just another face in the crowd. Combined with his depression, the pitbull had just succumb to the inevitable that he was just a nobody. Nothing special. And had never gotten over it.

“Alleviate yourself of all guilt, huh?" Jimbo chuckled. It was a dry, empty sound like his voice and he didn't even look over at the great dane.

“More like of all options." Diesel just frowned some more looking at his old-time friend. To call him a lover at this point would be pushing it. Even as a friend? Might be pushing it… Diesel and Jimbo hadn't been together for months now. They barely saw one another let alone anything more.

Jimbo wasn't the physical affectionate type as it was. The pitbull liked his space and would pull away at the slightest touch, just wanting to be left alone. After all these months Diesel had just been waiting for Jimbo to break it off with him. The pitbull seemed to be waiting for Diesel to do it. Remove the burden of doing it himself.

Just so he could play the victim in all of this. One thing Diesel hated most is when people played the victim when it was their own damn fault in the end. Of course life wasn't easy, it was shit. It was hard enough to get up in the morning for the great dane half the time to go to a job that wasn't going anywhere, to only get paid and lose it all on the very same day. Still, Diesel was trying. In the end that was all he could ask for in return.

“I just can't keep this up any longer…" Diesel finally forced himself to say. If it was Keith? The canine would have done the same thing, two years of the same thing. He was loyal to a fault. Only hurting himself in the end because of it. Afraid if he just left, Jimbo would do something drastic.

It had gotten to the point however that even someone like Diesel, couldn't bring himself to care anymore.

“I never asked for you too." Jimbo finally looked back at him, a corner of his muzzle pulling up as he chuckled. “Always got to be the hero. Pulling people out of the mud. Like that human you got." The pitbull gave a crude smile at the look that passed over Diesel's face. “Make yourself feel better by surrounding yourself with a bunch of losers. Come out as the top dog in the end!" Jimbo shook his head, looking away. “Pathetic."

“Damnit, Jimbo!" Diesel slammed one hand on the table, standing up. There was a deep growl in his voice. He was glad he came to this area, very few heads turned towards them at the tone in his voice or growl accompanying it. Humans would be freaking out by now, other canines just shrugged it off. “I've done everything I could for you. As a friend… as a mate." Diesel didn't take a seat, just grabbed his coat and got out of the metal table, it was too small for him anyways. “You're the one who chose this."

“Just going to abandon me too, huh?" Jimbo looked back at him with a glare. Diesel knew very well what he was talking about. All their friends from high school had left Jimbo far behind… maybe it was time for Diesel to do the very same. Not let this anchor and chain weigh him down any longer.

“No." Diesel sighed heavily, his back facing him as he turned away from the man he had once been in love with. “You aren't the dog I fell in love with anymore." He shook his head, it was puppy love since the start it seemed. A one-sided thing that Marshal had always tried to get him to wake up and see. “Your rent is due on the third. This month is already paid for. Trash goes out on Wednesdays." Diesel paused at that.

Jimbo only grunted at him in reply. Diesel was paying for everything. Without the great dane, the pitbull would've been out on the streets. It was another reason why Diesel had tried everything he could to help his old friend out. To at least allow Jimbo to collect himself enough to pay for his own crap, the things he needed.

“Goodbye, Jimbo."

“It's cause of that human, isn't it?" Jimbo finally asked, standing up now. All ears were perked and faced in their direction at that. Though Diesel had convinced Keith about it, canines could be very dramatic creatures by nature.

“Keith has nothing to do with it." Diesel just growled back, clenching one hand into a tight fist.

“Sure he doesn't." Jimbo just chuckled once more. “Keep telling yourself that."

“Whatever to help you put the blame on anyone else than looking in a damn fucking mirror, huh J?" Diesel was the one to give a dark laugh, shaking his head and heading out. He didn't look back, knowing he would never see the pitbull's face again.

Diesel wanted to text Keith. If he did that however, it would be like admitting to himself that it was because of his human that he finally broke up with the pitbull. That if it wasn't for the prospect of another, Diesel couldn't bring himself to break up with someone…

Diesel couldn't even lie to himself. He wasn't a man, nor a dog who could be by himself. He needed someone else in his life no matter how much trouble they brought him. If it weren't for his human he would have stayed with Jimbo until someone else came along…

His human? Diesel had a dumb smile on his face at the thought, driving down the street with the window all the way down. He needed a good breather. The fresh air on the cool day helped clear his head.

Marshal had brought up the issue several times, the three canines going back to high school together before Marshal broke off to go into the army. Diesel and Jimbo had hooked up leaving Marshal as a third wheel. It might have been one reason why the mastiff had gone out on his own.

Without having to pay for everything of Jimbo's, other than food (the pitbull always going out to get fast food these days); Diesel could actually start saving up again. The great dane wasn't even breaking even paying for the two of them. Now he might be able to manage a bit, keep moving forward. That made his short tail wag at the thought.

“Maybe I'll buy something nice for Keith…" Diesel chuckled at that, the inner parts of his ears burning at the thought of treating his roomie to something. Diesel shook his head to clear his thoughts. It wasn't like he was taking care of Keith like he had Jimbo, it was different. It was just one friend treating another to something nice.

It was his very nature too.

His tail continued to wag. Keith had been so shocked when he came home to find the new pair of shoes on his bed. Diesel had even helped put them on at the human's protests. The canine didn't wear shoes when he could help it. He enjoyed teasing Keith about it. It almost being an inside joke now between the two of them.

Diesel would drive around for a bit, clear his head. Start fresh with it all, maybe jerk off here soon before heading home and snuggling his roomie for the rest of the night. Great way to wind down after all of this. Get a paw rub, maybe a belly rub while he was at it. The very thought made him shift in his seat.

The great dane finally decided it was best if he went home now then. Diesel didn't even say hello to Marshal as he jogged down the hallways and unlocked the door. Diesel was in high spirits as he dropped his things by the door and began to clean up the apartment, he himself having messing it up before leaving that very day.

Diesel just wanted to rub Keith's nose in the fact he could clean up things for a change. Well, he wanted to rub Keith's nose in a lot of things at the moment as the now naked great dane continued to go around the apartment. The canine had even began dinner, waiting for his roommate to come home.

There were a few of those spare scented candles Keith had bought stashed away in the utility closet. Diesel lit a few, trying to find the least repulsive of the bunch, and set them out on the small coffee table in front of the sofa. Diesel grunted, moving the couch out of the way and the spare chair back. They could sit down on the floor for dinner. Diesel would get out his big fuzzy blanket from his room and the two could eat over candle lit dinner. Watch their shows together under the covers and by the end of the night…

Diesel was giggling at the thought as he got his phone, checking the miss calls and text on it. Diesel had spent most the evening getting things ready and had been putting it off, trying to shake off his earlier blues from breaking up with Jimbo. There were several messages from Marshal as well as one from work.

It had just been easier to ignore it all. Not wanting Keith to have to deal with a mopey great dane because of what had to happen. Something he had been putting off for far too long.

The canine dropped the basket of potpourri he had been planning to use as a substitute for flower pedals. The text he had gotten was from Keith, it was recent and was just a simple “I need to get picked up ASAP." Diesel didn't even put his pants back on as he headed out the door, following the directions sent to him by his roomie.

Several hours before, Keith had finished up with his classes and gave Diesel another text. While waiting for a reply, he called work as well just to make sure. If Diesel wanted to do something he'd blow Gus off, work was the same thing. Hours were more important than trying to get some homework done that he could easily accomplish after work, even if it meant staying up super late again.

Keith was sure Diesel would stay up with him, to keep him company even if it was only a backrub here or such while he studied.

“Welp?" The Doberman asked, resting against the hood of Keith's car. The canine was sniffing at the breeze head turned away from the human. Keith hadn't noticed that one of those sharp ears were up and alert in his direction, folding back down as he walked over. Gus having been listening in on the call.

“All good. I'm free." Keith just shrugged.

“Good. Got'cha all to myself then." Gus chuckled and gestured down the parking lot. “Let's take my car. I'll swing by and drop you off tonight so you don't got to waste gas."

Keith didn't like leaving his vehicle here. Still, with all the problems that had been going on with it he thought it would be best to take Gus up on his offer. Keith heart skipped a beat every time he tried to start his car. He really rather not have to call Diesel to have the great dane come and give him another jump; Keith relied on the great dane too much these days for things. Besides, it wasn't like Diesel was going to pick up today anyways.

Keith shook his head of the bitter thoughts, it wasn't Diesel job to reply to him. It wasn't like they were a couple or something. Keith flushed at the idea. Diesel was busy. The great dane had his OWN life to live. Keith needed to stop forcing his own into the dogs.

“You ok?" Gus just asked, smelling the human's troubles.

“Ah, yeah. Just a first I guess?" Keith shrugged a shoulder. One of Gus's ear batted at that.

“You mean you and Diesel never even…" Gus asked misreading what Keith had meant.

“Huh?" Keith just looked over at him. “Well, Diesel and I have done a lot of stuff together I guess…?" Keith thought that over with a frown. His thoughts emptying from his mind as a warm hand placed itself on his leg.

Gus gave his thigh a good squeeze, leaving it there as he continued to drive. “Hope you don't mind, I live with a couple of other guys." The canine just said as they drove the rest of the way in silence.

Keith noted how much smaller Gus was in general from Diesel. Not really so much in height. Gus was lean, fit and muscular with a runner build. Diesel had weight to him more like a pro wrestler, girth and mass that added onto his already large stature. Even Gus's hand was smaller than the great dane's as it rubbed up his thigh.

The human tried not to let the blush on his face be so apparent as he looked away. Canines could be such touchy-feely creatures sometimes, he figured thinking nothing more about it. It was something Diesel would do with him too.

“Just stay with me, it'll be cool." Gus just warned as he unlocked the front door a good fifteen minutes later. There were several locks to it and as they went inside Keith noted that it was double chained as well. That made him tense up a bit.

The three other canines that turned to look at the two only made his worries worse.

“Who's the runt?" A blood hound asked, taking a drink from his beer can. Keith could tell it was a cheap brand.

“Nobody, Coal." Gus just placed a hand between Keith's shoulder blades and pushed him further inside. “Upstairs." He added to the human, giving Keith a warm smile while shooting the other dogs a cold glare as Keith made his way up.

“A human? Really. Come on ya' fucking faggot, have some standards at least." Another piped up. Keith couldn't tell which one it was as Gus followed him up.

“Ah, excuse me." Keith moved to one side letting a naked Dalmatian walk past him down the stairs. The canine gave him a queer look before just shaking his head and not saying a word as Gus gestured to the last door down the hall.

“Sorry about them." Gus just chuckled, waving it off as he dropped his school bag near the side of the door. Keith handed his over and stood awkwardly in the middle of the room.

It was a small room with two beds in it. Keith could tell Gus was forced to share it with one of the other canines. It was hard to tell whose things were whose, everything scattered haphazardly around the room. Gus took several things off one of the beds and took a seat. Keith could only assume it was the Doberman's.

The Doberman was already taking his shoes off with a low groan. “Damn these things, don't know how you do it Keith." The canine tossed the boot to the side, then the other giving them a rub after. He didn't wear socks. It made Keith think of the great dane who did the same.

“Well…" Keith stopped at that. Normally he'd just mention the shoes were clearly designed for a human foot in mind and not a canine's paw. He didn't want to sound offensive however and ended up just standing there and gave a shrug.

Gus scooted back, patting the bed next to him. “Sorry. Don't have a desk or nothing to sit at. Just use my bed."

Keith thought he was poor, seeing the Doberman now in front of him he realized he'd had gotten off lucky in the long run. It was thanks to Diesel though that he had what he did. Even the poor excuse for a bed.

Keith joined him on the very edge of the frameless bed. The mattress was larger than normal and sunk in where the Doberman was seated at. Even on the edge, Keith could feel himself slowly drifting down towards him.

“Make yo' self comfortable." Gus just reached over to the minifridge between the two beds. He popped it open and pulled out a couple of drinks. “Beer good?" He just asked.

“Prob shouldn't if I'm gonna be driving." Keith just said feeling like a square.

With a coarse nail the canine popped the cap off of one. Gus had to seal his thin lips around the end of it and lift the bottom of the bottle up towards the ceiling to take a long drink of it. Just as quickly he lowered his muzzle back down, using his tongue to prevent the beer from washing back into the bottle and released it. It was a strange sight to see for the human, even knowing canines couldn't apply the same suctions a human could. Gus only then passed the rest over. “Half of one good?" The Doberman swallowed heavily, licking his lips after.

“Sure." Keith just chuckled at that. Gus was a friendly enough guy it was hard to turn down the free beer. It was a cheap brand but in the end gave him the same buzz as the rest. Something he needed, his nerves winning out without the help. “Who's your roommate?" Keith pointed at the nearby bed.

“That'd be Rad." Gus paused at that. “Uh, he's the Dalmatian you saw." The canine sat up a bit more, scooting closer. “It's a bit odd, sorry." The Doberman chuckled a bit at that.

“Odd?" Keith frowned a bit.

“Well having a human here." Gus only gave a shrug at it, not thinking anything more about it. “Another canine wouldn't have asked. They'd have been able to smell Rad all over this room."

“Oh, sorry?" Keith frown only increased, feeling even more like an outcast amongst the canines. Diesel never pointed these things out when they hung out. Keith shook his head on that, chuckling a bit now. He needed to get the great dane out of his mind. “I'll have to keep it in mind."

“Nah, man. I don't mind…" Gus paused at that once more. “Just uh… don't mention it to the others, kay?" Keith just nodded, he had no plans on talking to any of the other dogs as it was. “You aren't too nervous, are you? About this…"

Keith shook his head. Normally he would have denied it outright just how nervous he was. Being around Diesel however had made it clear he couldn't fully hide what he felt on such things. He would at least meet a middle ground on it all.

“Well, around them sure." Keith rolled his eyes. Around most strangers, he was a nervous wreck, let alone aggressive canines.

Gus placed a hand once more on his thigh. “Not me though, right?"

“Nah, man. I don't mind you at all." Keith teased, using his own words against the canine. Gus chuckled at that.

“Well, then why you sitting over there." Gus just pointed out. The dog opened his legs a bit before reaching out to snag Keith by an arm and pull him closer. Keith back touching the canines chest. The human flushed as Gus giving him a strong hug from behind. That muzzle bumping the side of his face. “Sheesh, got to do everything huh?" One hand slid under Keith's shirt.

“C-Gus." Keith was bright red in the face as that hand roughly roamed up his stomach and over his chest, a finger brushing one nipple as those dull claws dragged down it. “S-shit dude, rough much?"

Gus only growled at that, making Keith more tense than relaxed as a hot tongued licked over one of his cheeks. The tip of Gus's teeth nipped playfully at one ear the next second.

“Why so tense, hun?" Gus nuzzled once more, rubbing his chest against Keith's back. The overly affectionate canine didn't come off as he had been hoping for and kept rubbing over Keith's stomach as if a good belly rub would relax the human.

“Just… I actually thought we were going to uh… study." Keith pointed over towards their bags.

Gus looked over before chuckling loudly and shaking his head, lowering his muzzle down back towards him. “You are so cute…" Gus was panting lightly as he pulled up Keith's shirt to expose his chest. “You can't tell me you weren't thinking about this…"

“Well…" Keith flushed as that hot, damp tongue touched his stomach and licked up his chest leaving a trail of drool behind. In the same motion as Gus came up, he managed to take Keith's shirt off. Leaving Keith exposed in the cold room.

“Come on now…" Gus moved over him on all fours, pinning Keith back to the mattress before the human could get his brain to process what had just happened. His black muzzle moved down to give him several sniffs, under one arm and over his chest. Then up to his neck where that tongue licked at once more. “I can practically taste your arousal." The canine murred deeply, groping Keith with his other hand roughly between the human's legs.

“W-well…" Keith only blushed more as that hand slipped into the front of his pants to rub him roughly. Keith gasped, humping into it as his body reacted to the feel of it. Gus's strong finger wrapped around the bugle and gave it a good pump. The human only squirmed more at that as the canine drooled over him.

It wasn't like Keith hadn't thought about this before. Gus was a good-looking dog. The others in class didn't seem to notice; whenever they passed by another canine they did give Gus a second glance. Hanging out with Diesel as much as he had been, Keith had begun to see what were attractive qualities for a canine to possess. And Gus seemed to have several, something Keith tried not to focus on.

Now he couldn't not focus on anything else as the canine took his pants off. Gus's nose pressing right against the human's bulge and took a deep breath of him through the fabric.

“W-what about the others in the house?" Keith was the one to ask, getting flustered over this even more as he watched Gus take his own pants off. The Doberman didn't slow down as he stripped his shirt off and tossed it onto the ever-growing pile of garments.

Like Diesel, Gus wasn't wearing anything underneath his pants and the Doberman's beat red tip was already poking free of that full sheath.

“Who cares?" Gus just growled lustfully crawling back over Keith. “Not like I'm about to fuck any of them…" And before Keith's brain could process THAT, those thin lips met his. The canine roughly kissing him and pushing him onto his back with both hands. Keith was sure there would be bruise marks on his arms from it.

Keith closed his eyes as Gus kept kissing him, drooling over one of his cheeks before licking it up. The human was breathing heavily. Gus's musk was strong in the small room and the horny canine didn't show any sign of relenting as Keith wrapped his arms around the canine's neck.

He'd have been lying to himself if he wasn't enjoying this.

The human could feel something warm and slick rub against his inner thigh, the Doberman already leaking as the too kissed once more.

Gus was rough, holding him down with one hand as his other continued to roam and explore the human's naked body beneath him. His strong thighs pinning Keith's down as the canine humped his half-emptied sheath against Keith's hard dick and growled once more. A lustful sound that filled his throat and rolled out of his muzzle as the dog continued to pant hotly. Keith could feel that smoldering breath wash over his face, smell it with every breath he took and knew that was exactly what Gus had wanted.

The doberman was trying to make sure Keith only felt or smelled him; with another dog it would have been hard to get rid of all the other smells in this room. Keith could only smell the Doberman above him, not that Gus was aware of this. Panting over his face, dripping and leaking over his naked body. Half rubbing Keith's nose against one of his armpits, all to make sure the human was only focused on himand no one else.

Keith's eyes were closed the whole time as his classmate took advantage of his own burning libido. The human mind wandering as he felt that hot breath wash over his face once more, meeting those lips as he inhaled the Doberman's rich musky aroma once more. It wasn't as strong as Diesel's... Those lips weren't as firm or unyielding as the next second Keith tasted Gus's tongue slip into his mouth.

The canine was larger than the human but smaller than his friend, his roommate. Keith was still getting used to cuddling with Diesel. This… this could be a good opportunity, Keith thought as he moved down to kiss as Gus's neck.

To learn, experiment with this canine to know what Diesel might enjoy in the future.

The dog pulled back a bit at that. Before Gus could speak Keith rubbed over his sides, kissing his chest now and taking a breath of that musk coming off the canine. Gus murred at that, hugging his head against his armpit once more.

“Likes the chest, scratching… not the neck. Musk…" Keith noted to himself as he moved down lower. Gus was on his knees. The canine placed one hand on his shoulder, one on the back of Keith's head as the human moved between them.

The Doberman's half exposed shaft rubbed over Keith's cheek. It was harder than Keith thought it would be, not as large either as it slickened his cheek with that self-made lube. It continued to leak down that throbbing length, dripping onto the human's shoulder as it ran down over the Doberman's half empty sheath, his hanging balls and dripped off.

Keith teased the Doberman's sheath, making Gus squirm this time. The canine even letting out a low pitch whine as his shaft jumped again, squirting another dose of pre over Keith and onto the bed. The human could only wonder if Diesel would be so sensitive as he rubbed over Gus's sack with his other hand.

It was fuzzy, the inner part of Gus's thighs were bare of fur and Keith found it easy to nose at. Licking at the bare skin there. The hand on his shoulder tightened at that.

“Oh, Keith…" Gus panted hotly, tilting his muzzle towards the heavens.

“Diesel…" Keith just thought as he suckled one of the Doberman's fat nuts. The only way he could describe it was that it tasted just how Gus musk smelled. The human groaning at the thought. Would Diesel taste like the way he smelled then? That strong flavor of the great dane… it made Keith begin to pre at the thought.

“S-shit, dude." Gus had to get the human to let go, to move back or he would've finished right there. “Knew you'd like these nuts." The Doberman just grinned, his nose had never lied to him before who he could just bring home and fuck. This human wasn't any different. “All fours, now." Gus licked his muzzle, growling down at him.

“What?" Keith blinked a few times looking up at him. Gus leaned down a bit, rubbing his thumb over his throat.

“Did I stutter bitch? All fours, now." Gus voice was deep and there was a growl to every word he said.

“Gus. The fuck?" Keith wiped his cheek off with the back of his hand.

“That's right, say my name." Gus just panted hotly, snagging his wrist and forcing Keith's hand back towards his face. “Lick it off, bitch." Gus shaft had grown in size, filling out from where it lacked before. The beat red shaft continued to leak profusely. “I know you want too. I can smell it. Just another horny little slutty bitch that wants a piece of dick."

Keith only flushed at that, frowning at the canine now. There wasn't that silly playful Doberman before him now. Just a lustful, drooling guy. Like the same Keith met in the bars he used to go to back home. Only one thing on the mind, satisfying their own raging libido.

“Look, Gus." Keith pulled back. He'd give the canine another shot. He was here now, and he did need a lift back to his car still….

“What?" Gus stopped though, one eyebrow lifting up. He sniffed the air, looking at the human in confusion. Keith wanted this as much as he did. There were other smells mixed in, Gus unable to think about any of them as he moved closer. The human's arousal was making it hard to think of anything more. “What's wrong, baby? Don't you want some of this…"

The two almost kissed again, their lips brushing each other.

The door opened up and Keith froze, flushing even more as the Dalmatian from before walked in. The canine didn't even seem to care about the other two as he laid out on his own bed, leaving the door wide open. The Dalmatian putting on a large pair of noise canceling headphones and began zoning out to them. Every now and then his nose twitched though and Keith couldn't help but notice the naked Dalmatian's arousal.

“Rad, come on. I got a guest." Gus frowned though, not paying the other canine too much mind as he turned back towards Keith.

“Let's just do it another time…" Keith offered, giving his classmate an easy out. He was not about to fuck some guy with the door open with their roommate in it. In college or not, Keith had some pride.

“It'll be fine. Just focus on me…" Gus started up again, hugging him close under one arm and nosing at his cheek. He licked over it. “I know you want it, bitch…"

“No, no thanks. Really." Keith pushed him off, more embarrassed than he had been in his life. Was that what this would be like with Diesel. Not caring who else was even in the room. Or about him. Was this how all canines were like? Just hound dogs…

Keith instantly recalled the news article about a pair of canines fucking in the middle of a park, caught in the act. Like a pair of…

Keith just shook his head, already putting his pants back on and grabbing his things.

“K-Keith what's the problem?" Gus chased after him, down the stairs. “I don't understand. We were having fun." The Doberman whined, following him outside as the other canine's downstairs laughed and mocked Gus for it. “Wait up."

“Look, it's cool. I've already got a ride coming to get me." Keith just said, not facing towards the panting Doberman. Keith had dialed the only person who would actually come get him, Diesel. It wasn't even that late out. Keith had his shirt on backwards, his pants weren't even zipped all the way up as he walked down the sidewalk.

“Keith, I just… you wanted. I thought." Gus stammered a bit, folding his ears back and tucking his tail. The human was still aroused. He should be back in that room on all fours for him. There wasn't a reason why he shouldn't be…

“Look, it's fine. Really." Keith chuckled as he turned around towards him. “Just wasn't expecting that. I should have known."

“W-what does that mean?" Gus ears fell even more as his eyes widened, then it was replaced by a glare and both ears jumped up, tail standing high as he growled. “Like you're any better!"

“What does that mean!" Keith just glared back, getting angry about all this now. Wasting what little time off he had to blow it on a guy like this.

“You reek of that-that dog!" Gus waved a hand, growling even louder now. “Smell like he just bum fucked the shit out of you and then get mad that I wanted a little action too."

Keith flushed in the face, clenching one fist tightly. “You think I'm sleeping with Diesel! You fucking asshole. Is that why you wanted me to come over? Cause I'd just sleep with any dog that lifted tail!" Keith used the phrase, recalling Diesel having said it once or twice before.

Gus only fumed at that. “Gah! This is just like you fucking humans. You just and I was so…" Gus fur was standing up, the canine wearing nothing but an open pair of pants. “Damnit!" He just stamped a foot rounding on the human again. “You're the one who wanted this!"

“M-me?" Keith said taken aback. “Don't blame me for this!"

“How can you just…" Gus snarled now. “You stink of dog! You're always blushing and just so… so… submissive and then you get excited when you see me. And you smell like…" Gus ears splayed out, he began to flush thinking about it. All the signals Keith had been sending him this time in class. From the physical ones to the smell of him…

“I can't help that though." Keith just pointed out, looking to one side. “I didn't even know… I had been…" That only made Keith more self-conscious about this all. Was he always sending this signals out to canines?

“Well I did!" Gus just turned his back on him. “That you were always just… sort of… asking for it…"

“I was asking for you to try to fuck me with your roommate in the room?" Keith gave a good impression of a growl as he half-shouted at the Doberman.

“No, no! Not like that. Damnit, this is just so much harder with… a human." Gus stopped at that.

“You're right." Keith just gave a dark laugh. “With a canine, it's impossible…"

Gus would have said something else about that when a rather large truck pulled up next to them.

“Hey, Keith… is everything alright here?" And the door opened up, Diesel stepping out between the two with the engine running. A single sniff gave Diesel all he needed to know and his lip twitched, a flash of teeth showing. “Keith get into the car, we're leaving."

“Right…" Keith just nodded, not looking at either of them.

“Wait, Keith!" Gus moved forward and Diesel just stepped in the way.

“Careful." Diesel only warned once. Keith was around the side his truck, he wouldn't be able to see Diesel's face. If he did, the great dane doubted the human could ever look at him the same way. Both his jowls were up, fur standing on end as he gave a low, deep snarl that made even Gus take a step back. “I bite." Was all Diesel said as he got into the car.

“Did you get everything?" Diesel just asked before taking off only after Keith nodded.

The great dane was holding the steering wheel tightly. Otherwise, Diesel didn't say a word about it.

“What about my car?" Keith just asked, finally looking over at Diesel. Feeling as if he somehow cheated on his roommate somehow.

“It'll be fine overnight." Diesel just said without looking over, concentrating on something else as he drove. “They'll think it's one of the night classes. And I'll drop you off in the morning, so don't worry about that…"

“Thanks, Dee… uh… Diesel." Keith didn't even feel right using his pet name for the canine. “For giving me a lift..."

Diesel didn't reply. Keith feeling even worse until that heavy hand landed on his leg. It was warm to the touch, those strong fingers giving it a soft squeeze as Diesel rubbed it over the top of the human's leg. Keith flushed. It was the same as what Gus had done earlier today and yet…

Keith placed his hand on top of it, waiting for Diesel to pull it away. The great dane just opened his fingers and accepted Keith's between them, giving his hand a squeeze after and holding it. They drove in silence until they got home.

“You feeling ok?" Diesel finally asked, walking up the stairs with Keith. The great dane's nose kept twitching, trying not to sniff at him and wanting desperately too. He carried the human's bag for him, trying to relieve the load. Diesel would have carried Keith up the steps if the human let him. “He didn't… hurt you, did he?" The great dane stopped on the stairs looking at him.

Several steps apart, Keith could actually look into those soft powder blue eyes. He smiled at that.

“Huh? Oh, no. Nothing like that." Keith stretched the truth a bit. He touched his shoulder though. “Just was a bit rougher than I thought it would be…"

Diesel folded his ears down at that. “Then it was… consensual?"

“I didn't lie to you." Keith said loudly at that, only flushing a bit more. He regretted it the second he said it after the look that passed over Diesel's face. “I mean… my text I sent you. I was just going over there to study and well it just… happened." Keith couldn't look him in those soft, kind eyes. He didn't want Diesel to look at him with disgust for what he had done.

The door to their side opened up and Marshal gave the two a very annoyed look, telling them both to shut the fuck up without even saying a word.

“I'm g-going to take a shower." Keith just said quickly moving inside their apartment while Diesel watched him go.

“Hey, I was right." Marshal chuckled after Keith left. “You were late."

Diesel just gave him a cold look making even the mastiff back down.

“Ok, I'll uh… talk with ya' when we can look back on this and laugh…" Marshal chuckled uncomfortably as Diesel headed in after his friend.

The great dane shut the door, locking it behind him as he followed after Keith with heavy steps. The great dane bare foot touched the discarded shirt Keith had been wearing. Diesel dropped his own next to it. Then his pants on top of Keith's.

The great dane's strong scent masked both Keith's and that other canine as he covered the articles of clothing with his own.

“It was my mistake." Diesel sighed heavily outside the bathroom, talking to himself as the water began from the shower. “If I had just marked him… none of this would have…" Diesel took a moment, resting his weight against the wall. His arms were crossed, one hand gripping the other arm painfully tight before he relaxed.

The door opened to the bathroom with a creak and Keith had soap in his eyes.

“Diesel?" He just asked, not about to rinse his face off. He'd be unable to hear then.

“Coming in, right behind you." Diesel just grunted, stepping into the bath tub. Keith turned around.

“D-Diesel." The human getting flustered at that, blushing at him with closed eyes as the great dane stepped inside the shower with him. Not even waiting for a response. Diesel hefty sheath stirred at the sight of the naked human.

“Let me get your front for you." The great dane just chortled, his droopy ears lifting up as he grinned down at the human. Keith squirmed as one strong paw rubbed over his chest and up over his shoulder. It was covered in body wash, Diesel bought the stuff by the pound. It was made for fur but worked well enough for a human too.

“I need to…" Keith just turned around, he was sure Diesel had meant his back. He took a slow breath, washing his face off.

Keith didn't feel the dog behind him, the great dane taking a step back to give him some space. Keith withdrew from the spray of hot water only to feel a firm, solid chest of fur and muscle the next second. It pressed against him from behind. It was covered in shampoo and Diesel reached around him in a hug, using his arms and hands to soap up Keith once more.

The great dane using his whole body to soap up his friend.

Those hands were strong, rubbing over his front and sides. It wasn't rough though, it was like using an old luffa. The paw pads glided over his skin making Keith shiver as one brushed a nipple. Diesel didn't even react just continued to soap up the human under his arms and over his shoulder.

Keith noticed how Diesel scrubbed the shoulder Gus has leaked on, the canine just furrowing his brow as he washed it off. That hand rested there after, the nails digging lightly into his skin as Diesel held him.

“About today…" Keith brought up, facing towards the canine now. Keith just starred at the wet smoky gray fur chest of the great dane. Unable to look into those eyes.

“What did you like about him?" Diesel just asked instead.

“Well… he was friendly and kind and Gus, uh that's his name… is one of my classmate." Keith looked towards the side, lifting an eyebrow up at the scratch marks on the wall in confusion. He didn't notice them before.

Diesel didn't tell Keith he recognized the scent. Keith smelled of the other dog when he came home after class, assuming the two had just exchanged a hug. Or something. Seeing the Doberman made the great dane's fur stand on end even before he got out of the car. As if there was another male marking his things…

“I mean…" Diesel looked down at him. His ears folded back as he eased up on the human, backing up a little to give him room in the already cramped tub.

“I know what you meant, heh…" Keith just shrugged a shoulder. “I-I guess… I was just curious. What it'd be like with a canine, is all…"

Diesel lifted an eyebrow at that. “You and your dog curiosity… Huh?"

“W-well once more, I had just gone over to study! And he misconstrued what that meant…" Keith paused at that. Diesel didn't even need to ask. “He was just far rougher than I thought it would be like and I just… well that and his roommate was in the room too." Keith frowned at that.

Diesel chuckled though, shaking his broad snout side to side. He placed a hand on Keith's shoulder. Keith placed his hand on top of it again, letting his fingers slide between the great dane's once more. Keith ended up rested his head against that arm making Diesel's tail perk up.

“You aren't… like that." Keith voice was soft and it was almost lost in the spray of water still hitting his side. He had looking down and ended up staring right at Diesel's groin and quickly looked away.

Diesel's inner ears burned. “N-not all canines are like that, you know."

Keith blushed at that and took a step back. “W-well, I mean… you're so big. Yet, you're just a big ol' softy in the end." Keith chuckled in embarrassment. Diesel just smiled back at him. “And you're… just so... I'm thankful, for that…" Keith couldn't even finish his sentence. Standing here naked in the shower with his best friend. “Also you don't call me a bitch either."

“Well, of course." Diesel only shrugged. It was a very canine thing to do. One becomes top dog, the other the bitch during a mating session. “Cause it's for you, Keith." And the great dane kissed his nose. Holding the human close to his chest while they savored each other's company.

The water soon became freezing cold and Keith excused himself while Diesel claimed he needed to finish getting the soap out of his fur. He needed to finish something else.

Diesel's nails dug into the wall as he jerked himself off roughly, quickly as he panted hotly even with the cold water spraying down in front of him. Thinking of that face, the smell of him. Wanting to knot him, to fuck him. To mark him as his alone…

The great dane sat down in the tub at the end, lifting his hips up and clamping his muzzle shut around his throbbing, splotched length. Diesel rocked onto his back so he was angled down into his muzzle, letting the force of gravity keep everything in, instead of spilling out the side of his mouth; the same way he drank from a beer bottle. The great dane didn't even need to tease his tail hole this time, as he soon drained himself dry right into his drooling muzzle. Into his thick neck to fill his belly with his seed. Diesel wanted to do this to Keith… And it was at that thought Diesel kept humping into his muzzle, until his balls hurt and he knew he wouldn't end up doing anything to Keith tonight.

It hadn't been the first time he had done this to himself to keep his own animal libido in check.

“Not this night. Not like this…" Diesel shut the water off, tasting himself still in his mouth. His cum mixing with his drool as he turned the industrial fur dryer on and began drying off from the shower. “Not after what happened…" He wanted Keith to remember their first time together with only good memories associated with it.

A perfect day. That's what he wanted to give his human.

Keith came into the bathroom shortly after to brush his teeth. Diesel hadn't asked, Keith just took the fur dryer from him and did the canines back. Diesel ears burned hotly as Keith did it for him. It took almost thirty minutes to dry the canine off.

Diesel couldn't help himself near the end. Just pulling Keith close to the naked canine and giving his lips a lick, his release still mixed in with his saliva. Licking at Keith until the human opened up for him and Diesel was able to share his love with his human.
