The sky was falling. The weather team had assured there would be no rain that week and yet Bellagira was now being hit with the storm of the century. The houses and the trees shook under the force of the raindrops and the few people unlucky enough to be still in the street now ran to their houses screaming.

Nero loved it. The summer had been too hot and the air too humid and the day at the arena had been harder than usual and he’d had to fight a chimera and four trolls just to get the day’s pay. The rain washed all over him and he basked in it, he basked in it like an hatchling seeing rain for the first time or a drake mating with the dragoness he loved. Only when the wind rose wild and untamed and made his wings flap he decided to go home and to home did he go but only after buying a roasted Tunkarian turkey from Jon’s Rotisserie. They were huge birds twice the size of a normal turkey and he was the only one who always bought them whole. They were pricy but the taste was worth it. Every time he went to buy it Jon ditched everything to prepare it for him. “You’re putting my kids through the academy”, he would say, and laugh. Out of all his customers, Jon loved him the most.

Nero’s house was up a hill at the outskirts of Bellagira. In truth he did not care much for houses and buildings and the way of living of the bipedals but sometimes compromises have to be made and if he had to live in a city built by bipedals then he might as well live like a bipedal, or at least try to. The house was big enough for him to live in but even in its best days when he felt the most comfortable it could not compare to the feeling of a lair built deep inside the mountain and carved into the stone with his own claws.

Still, it had its positive sides. Local females rather preferred spending the night there than in a cave, for example. That was a plus.

He shook himself from the rain and went in. The door was thick and heavy enough that a roaming band of orcs wouldn’t have been able to get through even if it were unlocked, but he only had to push a little to enter. The first floor of the house was occupied by the living room and the kitchen - which he never used save for when he had guests - and the dining room. He had a bathroom but he never used it because he was a dragon and the forest was right there and by gods the shame of using a toilet as humans and other races did would have killed him on the spot.

Once he thought he was dry enough he went up the stairs to the second floor. The second floor was where his room was, what a dragon would have called his private chamber, and it was made by nothing more than a giant thick bed and a thaumathurgical lamp. It was a good room to sleep in even for a dragon but Nero spent little time there. Most of the time he spent at home he spent in the library. It was by far the biggest room in the house and each wall was covered in books, the shelves so full they seemed to be almost on the verge of breaking. Tomes who had found no space on the walls were stack up one another into huge piles that were almost as tall as he was. Some, the least interesting, were scattered on the ground, damaged and broken and ignored, and Nero did not care. Bad books he could deal with but boring books did not deserve any good treatment. The only thing boring book deserved was to be forgotten.

That night boring books could go to hell because the only thing he had planned for the evening was to read cheap pulp novels full of guts and sex and explosions while drinking as much ale as he physically could and then pass out right there in the library, hopefully without throwing up or setting the whole place on fire in his sleep like it had almost happened before multiple times. The library was perfect for that kind of activity as it only had one window that gave out to a big patch of tall trees who coveres the view almost completely. That night however he still locked it up and lowered the shutters to separate himself from the outside world as much as he could. That way the only thing that manage to penetrate the library was the noises produced by the rain falling on the roof, but it was weak and muffled and soothing and he had no problems with it. Once he was sure nothing could annoy him he grabbed a random book from the pile of trashy pulp novels, grabbed the ale, shut of the lights, turned on the lamp and started to read.

The book was familiar. He recognized the name of the main character and some of the secondary characters but was sure he’d never read the story before. It had to be part of a series, but right now he didn’t remember what it was nor he cared. All he cared about was that the main protagonist had just killed a bunch of evil trolls and was now about to be recompensed for his bravery by a night of wild sex with the young gryphon maiden he’d just saved.

A few hours passed. He finished the ale - luckily, he still had some rum left from that time he helped a bunch of lizkin stranded at sea - and the book - cheap plot and mediocre prose, but fun enough that it made Nero want to read the rest of the series, whatever it was - and started looking for something else. He was about to pick “History of the goblin wars” by Elwrick Alassan just to prove himself he was not a complete moron when someone knocked at the door. A good hard knock, right against the hard stone. Whoever it was had some strength in their bones.

He stood up and went to open the door and he found himself face to face with an avian girl with blue feathers and green eyes. She stood in front of him in a heavy jacket that covered everything but her beak and eyes and her arms wrapped around her torso. He could see the beak twisted into the weird smile of birds but there were bags under her eyes and tension on her face.

“Gods, Lavet,” he said. “What are you doing out here in this rain? You’re going to catch a cold.”

Lavet laughed. "Ehy, Nero” she said, and shook her hand at him. “Long time no see. Can I come in?”

“No, I’m going to leave you out here to catch bronchitis.” He moved aside to let her pass past him. “Come on, get in before moss starts growing on your feathers.”

Lavet came in and took off her coat and sat at the table as Nero went to make some tea. Dragons could not taste sweet things so he might as well be drinking warm water but the bipedals expected to drink flavored warm beverages at night in the rain and so that’s what he would give her. Once the tea was done he sat in front of her and poured it in her cup.

“Thank you,” she said. “How are you, Nero?”

“Fine as always. You?”

“Could be better,” she said. “I heard you were back in the old town and decided to make you a surprise. Hope I’m not disturbing.”

“Not many things you could disturb in a night like this one,” he said. A roaming thunder exploded as if to emphasise his words. “Nights like this exist only for staying inside and sleeping. The things that hang around with this weather are usually of the kind you wouldn’t like to meet.”

“You would know it.”

“Yes I would. How’s the tea?”

“Good,” she said, and took a sip.

“What about you? What have you been doing lately? You and Erik still trying to take over thay alchemy business?”

Lavet’s feathers fluttered. “Yes. I mean…something like that. I don’t want to talk about it.”

“Alright then. You want to eat something? I don’t have much right now, but if you want - “

“No, no, thank you. I’m fine. I really just wanted to talk with you.”

“Good thing we have all night for that,” he said. Lavet smiled but the smile did not reach her eyes. For a moment he felt tempted to ask her about it but in the end he didn’t. If she wanted to talk about it she'd bring it up herself first.

The evening went on like that. They talked about the town and her parents and her work as an alchemist but she did not speak about Erik nor the company they were trying to build up when he’d left the continent to fight in Quelabre. He did not bring that up and she did not ask question about it either and for that he was grateful. When they finished drinking tea Lavet stood up and made to grab her coat. “Well, it was nice to see you again,” she said. “I think I already wasted too much of your time though. I’ll get out of your hair.”

“What?” He said. “There is no way you’re walking back home in this storm.”

“Come on. It’s just a bit of water.”

“It ain’t the water I’m worried about,” he said. As if on cue, a sudden light lit the forest as if it were day. “I told you, nights like these are dangerous.”

“So what?” She chuckled. “You really want to spend the rest of the night talking about alchemy?”

“No, but I got a perfectly good bed you can sleep in.”

She seemed unsure. “Nero, I don’t know - “

“Why not? I’ll just sleep in the library. I do it most nights anyway, beds are too soft for me. Storm’s supposed to ease in the morning - we’ll just wait until it stops raining, and then you can do whatever you want.”

Lavet lowered her gaze. For a moment the smile disappeared from her face and when it returned it was smaller and bittersweet. “Alright then. Can’t argue with that. But in that case, you owe me a breakfast.”

“Noted,” he said. “Now come on. You remember where my room is, don’t you?”

She did. She made a quick stop to the bathroom to wash herself and prepare for bed. He waited in the library, trying to find the page where he’d left his book at. She came out after a few minutes wearing a bathrobe. Nero didn’t even know he had a bathrobe. “You know, if you want to sleep with me I won’t mind,” she said. “It’s your room, after all.”

Nero quirked an eyebrow. “Why, I didn’t expect you to ask me so openly. Shouldn’t you at least play hard to get?” Lavet glared at him. “Nevermind. As I said, I sleep in the library all the time. The bedroom’s all yours.”

Lavet stared at him in silence for a few moments still and then nodded. “Alright then,” she said, her voice low. “See you in the morning.”

The door closed. He heard her enter the bedroom and lock the door, then throw herself on the bed. He focused his senses on her for a while as if hoping to find out what was wrong with her just by listening to her scent or the beating of her heart but found nothing. In the end he lowered his head and curled up to himself and fell asleep.

Nero managed to keep his eyes shut for almost two hours before he heard movement below. He left the library and looked inside the bedroom. It was empty. He climbed down the stairs and found Lavet sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of tea in her hands and her head leaned down, her feathers fluttering.

“Lavet,” he said.

“Nero,” she said.

“Can’t sleept?”

“No. You?”

“I’m a dragon. Something moves in my lair, i wake up.”

“Sorry.”

“It’s alright. I don’t like sleeping anyway.” He sat in front of her. “You want to talk about it?”

“About what?”

“I don’t know. You tell me.”

“It is nothing that should worry you.”

“If it keeps you up at night, it worries me.” He said. “I just want to listen.”

Lavet snorted. “You always were good at listening,” she said. “Always the silent type. And when you weren’t silent, it was because you had a joke ready. I used to hate that.”

“You used to hate my jokes?”

“I used to hate how nothing could get to you,” she said. “I think it was because for me it was the other way around. Things get to me too much, good or bad. I think that’s why I’m here now.”

Nero stared at her. “Lavet, what are you talking about?"

“Erik cheated on me,” Lavet said. “Found him in the laboratory with a kobold girl a few weeks ago. They didn’t even notice me. Next morning I packed my shit and left.” She paused. “I regret it now. Missed the opportunity to spit in his face before leaving. But I couldn’t risk to start crying in front of him. So I ran away.” She took a sip of tea. “Then I found out you were back home. You can imagine what happened after that.”

“I can,” he said. “Lavet, why didn’t you tell me immediately?”

“I don’t know. I suppose I didn’t want to ruin the evening, or - or you to pity me. I suppose I was afraid I’d start crying.” She passed a hand over her eyes. They were lucid but no tears fell from them. “You noticed something was wrong the moment you saw me, didn’t you?”

“Yes.”

“Why didn’t you say something?”

“I thought if you wanted to let me know you’d bring it up first.”

“Really?” She said. “The dragon I remember would have asked me what was wrong the moment he saw my eye twitch.”

“We haven’t seen each other in three years,” he said. “People change.”

“I guess they do.”

Silence fell in the room. Lave drank her tea and Nero stared at her with tired eyes. Once she finished the tea she stood up and made to grab her coat.

“Where are you going?”

“Away,” you say. “I can’t stay here. Not tonight.”

“Why?”

“The only reason I came here is because I know you’d welcome me in - console me for what Erik did. I can see that now. I’m using you as a crutch. You don’t deserve that.”

“Why not?”

“Why not?” She turned toward him, her eyes narrowed. “You don’t use your friends as emotional crutches. It is manipulative.”

“You think you wanting me to console you is manipulative?”

She opened her mouth to answer and then closed it without saying anything. Her eyes fell. “A dragon would not act like that towards a friend.”

“You’re not a dragon,” he said. “My kind is solitary - too solitary if you ask me. Kravees are not. They live in flocks, and when a member of the flock is hurt they search for the support of the other members.”

He knew there was nothing she could say to that so she remained silent. She stood by the door as he watched her decide what do with herself. He wouldn’t have stopped her if she had truly wanted to leave but he knew she didn’t and she knew that he knew she didn’t. She put down her coat and looked at him again, her eyes still lucid but not as much as before.

“You were a bastard, you know,” she said. “Three years without news of you. Never sending a letter or a wisp to tell me if you were alright or even still alive.” She paused. “And I was a bitch too, because I never tried to take the initiative and find you first. Do you think that’s how members of the same flock act toward each other?”

“No.”

“Would you say we’re members of the same flock still after the last time we saw each other?”

“No.”

“Then what are you trying to say?”

“I’m saying you shouldn’t stay alone tonight,” he said. “I’m saying you should stay here. We’ll drink in company.”

“I don’t think that’s going to help.”

“What would?”

She didn’d know the answer anymore than he did. Again they stood in silence, Lavet staring at the pavement while Nero stared at her. Then he lowered his eyes on the kitchen table, cleaned it and turned toward the stairs. “Come with me,” he said.

She looked at him. “Where are we going?”

“My library,” you say. “I want to show you something.”

Lavet stood still for a moment, then walked up to him. They started climbing up the stairs and once they were on the second floor Nero closed the door behind him, then turnes to his left and came in the library. Lavet followed behind him. He looked at her and was confused at how unsure he was before he realized that despite how long they’d been friend she had never been in his library before. He asked himself how that was possible and he didn’t find any answers.

“What do you think?” He said.

Her gaze ran along the shelves. “You read a lot,” she said. “That’s more books than we had in the alchemy shop.”

“I don’t have any books about alchemy,” he said. “Neither science nor any other difficult subject. Just fiction and history. Too stupid for anything else.”

She scoffed. “You’re not stupid.”

“Am I not?” He said. “I make a living by breaking skulls. Sometimes I lose and it’s my skull that gets broken.” He glared at a pile of books in the corner. “Then I come back here, grab a book and start to read. And when I finish reading it I feel a bit less stupid.”

“What’s your point?”

“My point is, books make me happy,” he said. “They calm me down. Anchor my thoughts into something specific instead of letting them wander.”

“Sometimes it’s good to let your thoughts wander.”

“Sometimes,” Nero said. He lay down on the floor and patted his belly with his tail. “Here. Sit with me.”

“Nero, I really should - “

“If you truly want to leave, leave. But make me a favor and stop pretending it’s because you think you’re abusing our friendship or similar bullshit. You have no idea how much it pisses me off.”

Lavet stood where she was. Nero glared at her, saw her seriously consider getting out of there as she eyed the door and then him and then the door again, but in the end she walked toward him and gave him her back and sat against his belly. He wrapped his tail around her and she grabbed it instinctively.

“I forgot how warm dragons are,” she said. “You’re burning like a furnace.”

“The perks of your own body being your only tool to summon and channel aether.” He pushed his head against her side. “Do you feel it now?”

“What?”

“The quietness,” he said. “The feeling of belonging. You said you decided that being here was a bad idea, but I think you were convinced of that before you even walked through my door.”

“Then why did I came?”

“Cause you wanted me to prove you wrong,” he said. “Or maybe because despite what you told yourself, you just needed to talk about the shit that happened to you with somebody you knew.”

“I still think it’s wrong,” she said. Her beaks trembled. “Three years of nothing, then I show up out of nowhere and start vomiting my troubles on you. It’s wrong.”

“You’ve always been too rational,” he said. “Always analyzing shit that doesn’t need to be analyzed, dissecting situations and conversations like it’s an anatomy class. Is it so hard to admit Erik cheating on you hurt you, and you needed a shoulder to cry on?”

Lavet’s shoulders slumped. “No,” he said. “But it’s not right for you to be that shoulder and get nothing in exchange.”

Nero grunted. “Friendship is not transactional. Affection is not given in exchange of something.” He tightened the hold of his tail on her. “Your company is what makes it square. You don’t need to add anything else.”

“You’re just being sappy now.”

“I spent the whole fucking day kicking the fuck out of the worst pieces of shit this town had to offer. I’ll be as sappy as I want, thank you very much.”

Lavet laughed. It was the first genuine laugh of the night and it relieved him. She leaned her back against him and put his tail on her lap. “For being stupid, you sure have a good understanding of how people act.”

“Contrary to what people think, stupid people often know they’re stupid. I try to make it up by observing smart people around me.”

“Some people would say that makes you wise.”

“Nah.” He chuckled. “Let’s just say it makes me savvy about some stuff. That’s as far as I’ll go.”

“False modesty doesn’t suit dragons.”

“Sulking doesn’t suit Kravees either, yet here we are. World’s full of surprises.” She slapped him on the head and he gasped in mock outrage. “Females. Always resorting to violence when they don’t have an answer.”

“I wish,” she said. “If that was the case, I’d have beaten the shit out of Erik the moment I saw him with that kobold bitch.”

“Did you know her?”

“Just a client. Nothing special for a kobold - tall, lean, skinny. Wasn’t particularly pretty either, but you know kobolds. They know how to sell themselves.”

Nero nodded. “Why didn’t you do it?”

“What?”

“Beat the shit out of Erik. Your relationship lasted like…what, seven years? Seven years down the drain. Why didn’t you kick him in the balls when you had the possibility?”

“I told you, I'm not sure,” she said. “I suppose I was too shocked to react. What would you have done?”

“You mean if I’d found my mate fucking another dragon?” She nodded. He shrugged. “No idea.”

“You’re kidding me. I’ve seen how you act around males when you think they might be courting a female you like. That’s the only situation where I ever looked at you and genuinely wondered what kind of idiocy pushes me to be friends with a dragon.”

“I’ll take it as a compliment,” he said, then got serious. “You’re talking about courting though. That’s different than cheating. Dragons are monogamous. We fool around a bit when we are young, but once we’re mature we usually find a mate and that’s it. Unless one of the pair dies of illness or is killed in battle, we stay together until old age does its job. In all my life I’ve never heard of a dragon cheating on their mate, nor heard dragons mention it. It’s just something we don’t do.”

“You telling me no dragon in history ever cheated on their mate?”

“Possible.”

“That’s ridiculous.”

“Is it?” He said. “I think it’s all about possessiveness. When dragons take a mate, it’s like that mate becomes a part of us. They’re the most important person in our lives, the living equivalent of a piece of jewelry so beautiful you would never let anyone else see it. I cannot imagine sharing them with anybody, and knowing that they think of me the same way, I cannot imagine conceding myself to someone else. The very thought sounds alien to me, instinctively wrong. The fact that some other races consider it a common risk or even normal for a relationship to go that way is…I don’t know. I don’t even think I can express in words how strange that is to me.”

Lavet stared at him for a moment, then ran a hand over his cheek. “I wish I was a dragon.”

“Really?” he said. “Why?”

“Because then I’d find a male like you, and I wouldn’t have to worry about being cheated on.”

Nero chuckled. “If that’s the only reason, then you’re in luck. Plenty of dragons out there horny enough that interspecies relationships aren’t a problem at all.”

“I feel like it wouldn’t be the same way.”

Nero hummed. “Maybe,” he said. “But the whole cheating thing stands. Dragon or not, betraying our partners is not something we do.”

She turned her head and glared at him. “You truly mean that, don’t you?”

“Of course I do. I thought I made that clear. Why?”

Lavet rolled on her side. She raised herself up with one hand and leaned her beak against his snout and kissed him. At first he did not register what she was doing nor why - kissing is not how dragons express affection - but when he recognized the action and the meaning behind the action Nero opened his jaws and let her small, slender tongue explore his mouth as she wanted. His tongue was gargantuan in comparison to hers and could have filled her beak and throat in an instant had he wanted to, but that was not how she wanted it and he knew it. Kissing was troublesome for Kravee almost as much as it was for dragons but she certainly had more experience than him so she let him lead. They stayed locked in the kiss for some time, her talons running over his scaled chest and around his neck and arms, and there they stopped when she leaned away from his, a rope of saliva still connecting their mouths.

“I’m sorry,” she said. Her breathing was fast and heavy and her eyes blinking fast. “I’m sorry, I did not - I never - “

Nero wrapped his arms around her and pushed her against his chest. She resisted, barely, her pathetic attempts to push herself away more for his sake than hers, but when he wrapped his wings around her too she gave up and started sobbing, her head buried in the crook of his neck as her whole body shook.

“It’s alright,” he said. “It’s alright, I’m not angry. I’m here now. Things will be fine now.”

But they wouldn’t be, not really. Not if Lavet wanted to keep being an alchemist at least. Bellagira was a big town with enough alchemist and sorcerers already and none of them would have appreciated new competition from outside. She would have to leave again and he did not want that. He thought all those things but said none of them as she cried against him under the pallid light of the library. She did it for some time and once she was done she pulled away from him and rolled to his left, her back resting against his arm, still half covered by his wings. Tears still streamed down her cheeks, but she seemed better now. He liked that.

“Gods,” she said. “Oh gods. I’m so sorry. I can’t believe what I’m doing. I am so pathetic…”

“You’re not pathetic,” he said. “You’re hurt. A dragon would say you’re unbalanced. You’re not fully yourself when you’re unbalanced.”

She sniffed. “I did not mean to kiss you.”

“Damn. Was I that bad?”

She let out a soft chuckle. “No, I’m sorry. I meant I didn’t mean to kiss you so suddenly.” She sniffed again and wiped the tears off her face. “I was sad and I heard you say those things and I couldn’t…didn’t even realized what I was doing before I was already doing it.”

“I told you, it’s fine,” he said. “You need tissues? Water?”

“No,” she said. She almost sounded angry now. “Gods no. What I need…what I need is to grow a fucking spine, that’s what I need,” she said. “And what I needed was to kick Erik’s scrawny ass while I had the opportunity to do it. I swear to the Stillborn, if I seem him again I’ll rip his fucking balls off.”

“You’ll have to find them first,” he said. “A hard task if I’ve ever heard one.”

Lavet laughed.

“Do you feel better?” He said.

“A bit. Can we get some more tea?”

“Of course we can.”

He disentangled himself from Lavet, went back to the kitchen and put on a new kettle. Once the water was ready he filtered it and put it in a teapot and brought it back to the library along with the teacups. He put them on a trail and grabbed it with his mouth and walked back to the library. He found Lavet sitting on the ground with her legs crossed and a big book on her lap. She flipped through the pages with a small smile in her face. When he went in she raised her head and looked at him. He put the trail with the teapot and the teacups in front of her and the smile widened. “Thank you.”

He nodded. “What are you reading?”

“The same thing you were, probably,” she said, and turned the book to show him the cover of the dumb novel he’d been reading before she arrived. “Lots of violence and sex, not even a hint of substance. Just the kind of book I’d expect you to read.”

“For you information, I was about to start reading a history essay before you came in.”

“About what?”

“The goblins wars.”

“Oh, so just more sex and violence then.”

“Don’t be racist, Lavet.”

She laughed and closed the book. “You need to read better stuff. Maybe I’ll suggest some books I read. Help you learn something useful.”

“Fiction is useful.”

“Not if you want to make a living.”

“I make a living by crushing skulls. That’s all I need.”

“You’re not helping with the stereotypes.”

“What stereotypes?”

“The ones that say dragons are only good at fighting and fucking.”

“I am good at fighting. And I like to think I am good at fucking.” He leaned down. “People trying to reduce an entire race to a common denominator are a particular kind of foolish. Listening to them is a waste of time, and trying to debate with them drags you down to their level.”

“How do you deal with them then?”

“I don’t.”

They drunk their tea in silence. Nero emptied his huge cup in one swallow while Lavet sipped at it. She did it slowly, as if she didn’t know if she really wanted it herself. Once she was done she put the cup down and glared at him.

“Did you like it?”

“Like what?”

“The kiss. Did you like it?”

“Not particularly,” he said. “I’m sure it’s not your fault. It’s just something dragons don’t do.”

“I thought so. But it wasn’t that bad, was it?”

“Of course not.”

“Would you like to do it again?”

Nero started at her with half a smirk on his face. “Are you trying to seduce me, Lavet?”

“I wish I had the ability to seduce anybody. Never been able to. No, I’m not trying to seduce you as much as I’m asking if you want to fuck.”

“Pretty straightforward.”

She crossed her arms to her chest. “You said it yourself. I need comfort, but holding my hand while I cry on your chest ain’t gonna crack it. I need something stronger.”

“You’re still upset. I don’t want to take advantage of you, or – “

“You’re not taking advantage of anything,” she said. “I’m heartbroken, not under shock. I’m lucid. If I wanted to leave I would, but I don’t. I want to spend the night with somebody and I want that somebody to be you. Is that too hard to accept?”

He glared at her. “Have you ever been with a dragon?”

“No.”

“You’re a bit small for me.”

“I heard of human women getting dragon cock without problem,” she said. “I’m taller and stronger than any human woman. If they can do it, I can too.”

She moved away the table and crawled up to him on four legs. Again she reached for his muzzle with her beak and again they kissed, but this time Nero raised a hand and wrapped it around her right breast. Lavet had bigger tits than most kravees Nero had ever seen and though dragons had no particular attraction for breasts he knew having big ones was considered a sign of fertility among the races who had them and that aroused him. He kneaded it harder, molded it like fresh dough, and Lavet moaned in his jaws. She grabbed his other hand with hers and pushed it against her other breasts. She pulled them out of her shirt and encouraged him to touch them, and he did. He kneaded them and squeezed them and pulled on their nipples and when their were hard enough he lowered his head on them and sucked them both at the same time. Lavet moaned again as her right hand disappeared under the fabric of her trousers, between her legs, while the other leaned over Nero’s head to keep balance. Then they kissed again.

When their tongues separated the scent of her arousal was so intense it filled the room. It was all Nero could smell and before he know it half his cock was already poking out of his sheath, not fully hard yet but already hard enough to stand a foot in length and leak thick ropes of semen on the floor. When Lavet saw it her eyes widened. She pulled off her shirt and trousers and launched them in a corner of the room, then went back on four legs and crawled to it until her face was inches away from the red pillar of flesh his cock had turned into. He pressed her face against his balls and took a deep breath to let his musk fill her lungs, then started licking them. They were too big for her to fit in her mouth, bigger than her head, but she could knead them and lick them and bite them and that was enough for her. It was enough for Nero too and soon his cock was out of his sheath in full mast, bigger than an orc or a gryphon or any other male Lavet had ever seen. She grabbed it with both hands and started masturbating him, her tongue lapping at his tip to swallow every strand of cum that poured out of it, then all of a sudden she took it in her mouth and managed to swallow it almost half-way through in one go. Nero growled but did not try to take control – he let her do as she wished. Lavet bobbed her head up and down his shaft a couple of times, her eyes closed in concentration, then pulled back and his cock popped out of his mouth and she just stood there and breathed to calm the beating of her heart, a line of saliva still connecting to his erection.

“Fuck,” she said. One of her hands went back between her legs and Nero could see two fingers sliding in and out of her, her crotch and internal thighs so wet her feathers were reduced to clumps of matted blue. “I need this thing inside me right now.”

“We should go slow.”

"To hell with slow,” she said. She rolled him on his back and sat on his shaft. She started stroking her cunt up and down the underside of his cock until it was dripping with her juices and his chest was covered in pre. Once she was sure they were both wet enough she stood up and grabbed the top of his cock and then lowered herself on it. Nero was sure it would not enter the first time, it never had with any of the bipeds he’d rutted in the past, but this time the moment the top of his cock touched her lips it spread them apart like warm butter and sunk itself so deep inside Lavet he could have swore he’d touched the back of her throat. Lavet gasped and her eyes rolled up as Nero’s cock pushed against the deepest of her wall and there it stayed as she trembled and shook as she had her first orgasm of the night. Juices spurted from her sex like a fountain and fell on his chest. She moaned and moaned as the orgasm went on and when she started to lose balance Nero grabbed her by the hips to make sure she didn’t hurt herself. He was nowhere near a climax but he didn’t complain. That night was about Lavet, and he was glad to let her have her fun.

When the first orgasm subsided she leaned back with his cock still buried inside her and sighed, a sigh so deep and so low one would have thought she’d just dropped a ton of weight from her back. “Fuck,” she said. “Fuck, this is a good cock.”

“Are you alright?”

“I’m fine,” she said. She clenched her cunt, her hips drawing littles circles over his crotch. Nero’s cock answered with a throb and another moan escaped her beak. “Gods, am I fine. It never happened to me before.”

“What?”

“Coming just by penetration,” she said. “I didn’t even think it was possible.”

“I suppose now you know it is.”

She hummed. “Roll me on my back.”

So he did. She came to lay with her back against the pavement while he stood over her, his legs planted at the sides of her body and his cock still buried in her cunt, her entire torso pulled out by the shaft trapped nside her. A more abundant spurt of pre flooded her womb and she whimpered. “Gods,” she said. “It’s so fucking warm…”

“Do you want me to move?”

“Hells, yes,” she said. “Fuck me into the ground. Break the bloody pavement.”

Nero could have done so literally had he not known it would have killed her. He started thrusting into her with the caution of a predator approaching a prey, searching for a spark of pleasure that could burn hot enough without having her hips break under him. For a while he experimented with the strength of his thrusts and the amounts of cock she could feed to her cunt without making it painful for her and when he found the right mix of speed and depth he started pumping it, pumping it for all it was worth. Lavet screeched something in her native tongue and became incoherent immediately after, her tongue lolling out and her eyes reduced to giant seas of white with only tiny black pupils lost inside them. Her back arched and unconsciously pushed against him as her crotch tried and failed to match the rhythm of his shoves. Her orgasms didn’t came as often as he had expected after the first time but when they did they were long and loud and made her entire body shake like a leaf in the wind. Her breasts bounced against her chest and chin so invitingly Nero couldn’t help but lower his head and suck on them again as he pumped her, and when her arms wrapped around his neck he didn’t know if it was her doing it or just her body reacting to the onslaught of pleasure, desperate to hold onto something as she took all he could give.

When Nero’s orgasm finally started approaching him Lavet was all but devastated, her face and chin matted with her own saliva and her breasts slated with his. The wet sounds of his cock sliding between the walls of her cunt were so loud they covered even the sound of the rain falling outside and her body didn’t even have the strength to shake anymore. She just let him take her however he wanted, her fingers drawing bloody lines into his back as her claws cut through his scales.

Nero looked down at her and thought of how beautiful she was. For an instant he considered pulling out of her and coming on breasts but then he considered the amount of pre he had already filled her with and decided that if the gods wanted her pregnant then she already had to be. The frequency of his thrusts became faster and more erratic and their strength rose ever so slightly as he lost control and his cum bulged out his cock before exploding inside her like a river busting through a dam. It filled her womb at once and then there it stayed, her lips so tightly wrapped around his shaft there was no amount of pressure that could push it out. But kravees are adaptable people, famous for their flexibility and stretchiness, and as her womb filled beyond its limits and her belly bloated with semen all that came out of her beak were moans of pleasure. His orgasm went on and on and when he finally decided to pull out of her and end his climax on the floor a concentrated jet of semen arched through the air and fell back on the floor a few feet away. Nero kept stroking his cock as the last spurts of seed flew on the pavement and onto Lavet and even onto himself. Once he was spent he let his cock flop on her belly and there they stayed, breathing, until the light returned in Lavet’s eyes. She blinked a couple of times, then stared at him.

“Again,” she said, her voice a whisper.

“Lavet, I don’t think –“

“Again,” she repeated.

Nero sighed and went back on four legs, then grabbed his cock and pushed into her again.

The next morning the storm was over and the sun found them in the bedroom. Every surface of the room was covered in puddles and ropes of juices and seed, as was every other room in the house. Nero slept until the light became impossible to ignore and when he opened his eyes he found Lavet already awake, her half-lidded eyes stared at him.

“Good morning,” he said.

She didn’t answer. She stared at him in silence, her beak half-open, just breathing.

“Do you want breakfast?”

“Later."

“You want some water?”

“Later.”

He tried to move and found out his cock was still stuck inside her. He made to pull it out but she stopped him by grabbing his hand. “Leave it in,” she said. “I like how it feels.”

“Lavet, we need to get up.”

“Five minutes,” she said. “Five more minutes, and then I’ll go.”

“Go?”

“I’m leaving,” she said. “There is nothing for me here. Nothing aside you, and I don’t want to be your burden.”

“I want you to stay.”

“You only say that because your cock’s still inside me.”

“I tried to pull out and you stopped me.” He raised an arm and wrapped it around her shoulders. “I want you to stay. I don’t care if we fuck every night or not at all. I don’t want you to be alone again.”

“What about what I want?"

“I don’t know. What do you want?”

She stayed silent. “I want a garden,” she said in the end. “I want to grow plants and fruits. I want to work as an alchemists once again, even if nobody buys my stuff. And I want to be with you.”

He licked her beak. “Sounds good to me.”

“You won’t grow bored of me?”

“Why would I?”

“I think that’s what happened with Erik;” she said. “I don’t want it to happen again.”

“It won’t.”

Lavet smiled. They kissed once again, then she pulled his cock out of her and sunk her beak on it, her head bobbing up and down at the rhythm of his heart. Nero stared at her for a while, silent, then closed his eyes and put a hand over her head and pet her as gently as he could while she swallowed his first load of the day.
