The handsome man turned around and gave her a toothy grin. "Yeah, who else do you know who could move like that?"

Kagome lowered her bow and undid the arrow as she let out a sigh of relief. I thought you were Naraku at first. I sensed your jewel shards, but it's weird, I can't quite tell where they are like I usually can, and it seems like it's quite a bit larger. Were you able to get your hands on more of them?"

"No, I was able to get my hands on all of them." He said as he walked over closer to the human. She gave him an incredulous look. "I did it Kagome, I was finally able to get my revenge on the bastard that killed my comrades. Naraku never saw me coming, I guess he didn't consider me a real threat. "Yeah, I'm now the most powerful demon in the entire world, stronger than Sesshomaru or that mutt. I'm the perfect man for you Kagome. You'll never find someone better or more loyal. Kagome's eyes widened in surprise, and she tried to lunge for the necklace. He easily moved his hand back, thwarting her attempt. He smirked at her, then crushed it in his fist. The demon closed his eyes and let out a very content sigh as he felt the jewel at last becoming whole again inside his body. He stood there for a few seconds, just enjoying his moment of victory then opened his eyes.

The look Koga gave Kagome sent a shiver down the human's spine. Something was very wrong. She took a step back, and he took a step towards her. She took another, and so did he.
