“I guess that would be ok” Arius said with a sigh. “But I’m going to have to teach you how to properly read a calendar!” Arius teased, his mood beginning to improve now that the issue had been resolved. William sighed with relief that the matter was behind them.

“Thank you Arius, I’m so sorry and would hate to lose your business! I promise you I will pay more attention to the date in the future!” William assured him. Arius turned to me.

“You are sure you are ok with this Ben? I appreciate your offer, kindness amongst strangers is a rare thing these days!” Arius said. I nodded and smiled.

“I will bring your meal up right away!” William said as Arius followed me to the stairs.

“Come in!” I called. The door opened, and William came in carrying a large tray covered with dishes of food. There was also a bottle of wine and two goblets.

“Dinner is served!” William said cheerfully as he brought the tray over to the table and set it down.

“Thank you William, it looks wonderful!” I said appreciatively.

“Yes, thank you William. Also, please let me apologize for losing my temper earlier. You have always been very kind to me” Arius said.

“Please, it’s not necessary! I should be apologizing! I’m so sorry I accidentally filled your room, I’ll be so much more careful in the future!” William said with a smile. “Well, I’ll leave you to it. I’ll be back for the tray and dishes later.” William bowed to us, as he left, closing the door behind him.
