So here is an quick epilogue to the Darkness Before Dawn series. You wanted answers, so here they are!
Light of Day
After our heroes have a night of well deserved rest, they wake the next morning to the beautiful shine of the sun. For some of them, it was quite a surprise...
Edward shot up and covered his face as he dove to the other side of the hill. Whittaker and Brandon got up to see what was going on while Aiden still slept soundly. "Brandon, the sun's rising!"
"Yeah?" he said as he laid his head back down on top of the fox's.
"Get into the shade before you start baking,"
"Dude, just go back to bed," Brandon said with his eyes closed. Whittaker looked at the vampires, and shrugged before he lay back down as well. Edward reluctantly crawled back over the hill and laid back into the soft indent he left on the grass. He squinted his eyes at the sun as he faced away from it. The wolf was right to ignore the sun, its warm light crept across the landscape till it hit the furs on the hill side. It was comfortably warm and there was no burning sensation. It was a long forgotten feeling to the tiger as he smiled, and let the sun warm his body. He purred gently, and nuzzled the wolf's neck as he threw an arm over him. Whittaker snuggled back as they cuddled in the sunrise.
It wasn't another few hours till the four started to rise. Aiden was the first to get up, and stretch his arms out before sitting down next to Brandon who looked up at the fox and smiled. Brandon pulled Aiden's head down and kissed him. The fox laid back down and pressed himself against the wolf. Brandon kissed his forehead and held him tight, pecking a trail to his lips. Soon they embraced each other and locked lips. While they made out, Edward was spooning with Whittaker as he still had his body pressed to Brandon's back. Waking up, Edward's member greeted the back of the white wolf's thighs as he grind slowly against the half awake slayer. Whitaker let out a soft murr as his own sheath began to fill out. He shifted a bit as he held on to Brandon tighter as his pink tip began to poke the vampire's backside. Brandon smiled as he felt the wolf waking up behind him.
Brandon's paws slowly slipped lower till they rested on Aiden's firm ass. He pulled his hips forward, and ground his sheath against the fox's as they continued to kiss. Aiden let out a soft moan as he felt the wolf's cock harden against his. Aiden licked and sucked against Brandon's maw as he moved his hips against the wolf's. The quiet morning was slowly stirring into sounds of lust as Edward nipped at Whittaker's neck as he continued to grind his now hard cock between his cheeks. The tiger gripped the wolf's hips as he pressed his pre slick tip against his entrance. In front of Whittaker, his own canine tip was already slipping inside of Brandon as he reached full hardness. Brandon shifted and moaned into Aiden's maw as he pulled the fox's thigh around his waist. He pushed up on his side, and tugged his shoulder to try to get the wolf behind him to get up as well. Working together, Edward picked up Whittaker, who picked up Brandon, who wrapped Aiden's other leg around him as he breaks the kiss and wraps a paw around his foxhood.
Aiden let out a soft moan as he felt Brandon adjust his hips till his tapered tip pressed firmly against the fox's hole. The black fox gasped softly as the wolf's tip finally pushed through into him. Then the weight of the other two pushed forward all of a sudden, pushing Brandon's whole length into Aiden as Whittaker did the same to the vampire while Edward slid his thick tiger meat into the slayer. They all moaned in unison as the tiger rested his weight onto Whittaker's back who leaned all the way into Brandon as he pulled Aiden's legs onto his shoulder. After a moment of heavy breathing, Aiden pulls Brandon's head to meet his as they lock into another kiss. Whitaker's paws hooked around and began to feel Brandon's firm chest. His paws finding the other wolf's nipples and begins to tweak and pinch them. Brandon shivered, and then Whittaker as Edward traced his claws across the white fur in front of him.
After a few minutes of exploration of each other's bodies, Edward pulled back a bit, then Whittaker, and finally Brandon. Soon they began to move in sync as they shifted forward and back in time, moving like segments of a worm. Slowly, they all built up speed. Brandon stroked Aiden with each end of the line when he is pushed into the fox. They went at it for over an hour, slowly leaving a trail in the grass from their starting point. Aiden was breathing hard being folded in half as he was; he leaned to the side and used the slope of the hill to stretch his body out. Relieved of the pressure on his back, Brandon's cock pushed in deeper with each thrust now, causing the fox to moan deeply as they began to thrust harder.
Edward took the liberty gripping Brandon and pulling his hips back into Whittaker as they slammed back and forth. With one great thrust and roar from the tiger, he slammed the train into a dead stop as his foot paws dung into the grass as he stretched his body forward, almost toppling Whittaker as the force popped his forming knot into Brandon who tied into Aiden as the chain reaction of climax began. From the rear to the front, one came after the other till they all fell on top of poor Aiden, who simply lay there, moaning softly to himself as they all continued to shudder lightly.
For a while, they all laid there, most of them with dripping bums as their chests raised and fell in the afterglow of their actions. Soon the hills faded, the grass disappeared, and gentle darkness wrapped all of them, and they drifted slowly into a pool of warm water. The shifting pools washed over them, as they appeared in some jungle. Next to a great waterfall, they all floated in the water, getting carried towards the crashing waves. They held each other and closed their eyes as the waters washed over them, they fell beneath the cascade and all resurfaced giggling. They played and splashed for a while before they went to go dry off. They all went back to Aiden's apartment and dried themselves off with all the towels the fox owned.
"Well, that was a good morning," Brandon said as he shook his ears dry.
"Indeed it was," Whittaker said as he walked by and slapped Brandon's bare ass.
Aiden gave the white wolf a growl before yipping as Edward pinched his ass. "Come on foxy, we have some errands to run today," said the tiger as grabbed the white wolf by the waist and threw him over the shoulder. "Let's get dressed,"
"He's right, we have to get goin'," Brandon said.
"Wait, what's going on?" Aiden asked as he started to put a pair of clean pants on.
"Well you didn't think that we just come home and fuck, and that'd be it did ya?"
"Well, yeah, I did,"
"No, we have to fix everything we broke, and it starts with me taking the place as the head of the new council," Brandon said as he finished picking though Aiden's cloths.
"Got anything that will fit me?" the large tiger said as he stretched out one of Aiden's shirts. The fox let out a sigh.
"Yeah, come here," he said as he pointed him to the laundry room, some in there's gotta fit you, my roommate's about your size, though not as good lookin'," he said with a grin as he watched the naked tiger walk towards the laundry room.
"Brandon's right, we have to bring in a new order, since we're primarily responsible for fucking up the last one, any chance you still have my lantern?" said the white wolf as he stole one of Aiden's nice shirts.
"Eh, yeah," the fox said as he waved his hand, a hole opened up and set the silver lantern on the bed. Whittaker took it up, and in a flash of light, was in his usual cloths. "So, what are we going to do first?"
"Good question, Brandon?" Whittaker said, looking over to the other wolf.
"Well, first thing is to get the word out that there's a new order, make sure to put down the traditionalist too, we're gonna need some help, Whittaker, you're still in good standing with the slayer's guild right?"
"Ya, membership doesn't expire till next year," he said whipping out a gold embroidered card.
"Good, well you're going to tell them they're going to be the new task force, and they're going to answer to me, whether they like it or not, or I'll come and kill each and every one of them," Brandon said, as he casually slip on a pair of tight jeans.
"Really? Did you really have to threaten them?" Aiden asked as he dressed himself.
"Well, yeah, I don't really have anything to pay them with, so the next best currency is a threat, besides, they'll be happy to have something to do, it's been quiet for a while,"
"Indeed it has, why you think I had to go find work outside the guild?" said the white wolf as he leaned against the wall.
"Because you had nothing better to do," said Edward as he walked in. Even in a double extra large shirt, his chest still made the fabric bulge to the point of ripping. The slayer let out a low whistle as he watched the tiger walk back into the room. "Let's get moving, other than contacting the slayers, what else is there to do?"
"Well, we need a new council; I have a few members in mind, go find Andrew and Charlene," Brandon said to Edward as he stepped over to Whittaker. "We're going to the slayer's guild, and talk it over with them."
"Okay, we'll lets meet in an hour," Aiden said as he watched the wolves step next to each other. Brandon nodded, and looked over to Whittaker, he lifted the lantern, and in a soft glow, they both faded away.
"Well that leaves you and me to go find the bear," Edward said as he looked down at the fox. The tiger looked at him closely, looking at one side to the other, Aiden blushed a bit before he looked away.
"What?" he asked.
"He's right, you are kinda cute," said the tiger with a smile before he gave the fox a pat on the head. Aiden just turned around, to hide his reddening cheeks as he opened up a hole in the wall and walked through it. Edward followed him, and they both steeped through a dark corridor before they appeared in a large garden. "Where are we?"
"Suppose to be the place Andrew left to after the fight, I suppose he's here somewhere," Aiden said as they began to wander around. It looked like nature had just redecorated. They came to a small lake, and looked around, "Hello?" Aiden asked.
Something stirred in the waters of the pond. Aiden looked at the water as small ripples appeared across its surface. "What do you see?" the tiger asked.
"Nothing, just some waves," as he finished his sentence, the water splashed out towards Aiden, who fell back as a large tidal wave came up and crashed towards the two. Aiden turned into smoke as Edward leaped and landed in a nearby tree. Aiden formed next to Edward as they watched the water rise up on its own and settled into the form of an otter. The figure raised its hands and another wave came surging out, but Aiden had already moved himself and Edward behind the lake. Aiden concentrated, and a small sphere appeared inside the water, before he heard someone scream.
"Stop! It's okay!" and suddenly a ball of fire crashed between the two. "It's okay, Shaun, it's cool, they're friends," said Charlene as her flames disappeared and they stood a very shapely, young coyote in just enough clothing to not be considered naked. The water like being seemed to melt, and underneath the liquid was a short, brown otter, in a pair of green shorts.
"Charlene, you know these two?" said Shaun.
"Yes, they're good friends of mine, except for maybe the tiger, but I'm sure they won't make any trouble here. Go back to bed, I know how you get when you don't have your nap." The otter just nodded and melted back into the lake. "Sorry guys, my little brother gets cranky, especially when we get unexpected visitors."
"Ah, well where are we?" Aiden asked as he looked around.
"You're in the garden of elements, our home in this plane," she said with her best smile.
"Alright, where's the bear?" Edward asked.
"Didn't they teach you any manners before you got bit?" said the coyote as she placed a fist on her hip. "Andrew's here doing some studying, he's over here," she said as she waved them to follow. Soon they came across a clearing, and Andrew was embracing someone. As they got closer, the bear looked over, and whoever was in his arms, seemed to have vanish, a faint outline in the wind.
"Yeah, study, sure," Aiden said with a smirk as they walked up to the bear.
"Gentlemen, what ah, what brings you here?" he asked as he fixed his shirt and turned to face his guest.
"You have an erection in your pants, or you just happy to see us?" Edward asked as he pointed to the tent in the bear's pants. Andrew's face turned red as he turned to the side.
"Andrew, you've been fooling around with Leo haven't you?!" Charlene said as she waved a finger at the bear.
"Umm, listen, we have visitors, we better figure out why there here," Andrew said, trying to change the subject.
"Fine, but don't think I'll forget!" she said.
"Brandon sent us to come get you, he's forming a new council, and they're talking to the slayer's guild right now."
"Yeah, we better get over to them, just in case things don't go over so well," Edward said.
"I'm coming with y'all, my shift doesn't start for a few hours," Charlene said.
"Oh, where do you work?" Aiden asked, curiously.
"At the strip club," she said plainly.
Aiden opened a hole, and they walked though before anyone could say anything else.
Over at the slayer's guild, the two wolves appeared out of thin air. It looked like the inside of some grand castle as the stone walls were lit with torches everywhere. Furs ran about, busy pushing papers and weapons left and right, completely ignoring the two new visitors. "Wow, looks like a medieval office building."
"Yeah, it's quite a mess around the building, that's why I like being a field agent," said Whittaker as they made their way into a corridor. A small mouse carrying a stack of papers taller than he was bumped into them, but Brandon stopped them from falling over before he could hit the ground.
"T..thanks, didn't see where I was goin'," he said before looking up at the wolf.
"No problem," said the vampire with a smile. The mouse stared wide eyed as he dropped his papers once more.
"Va..Vam..VAMPIRE!" he screamed as he ran back the way he came.
"Oh no," Whittaker said as he watched the mouse run away.
"What?" Brandon asked.
"Here they come," Whittaker said as he watched the local task force appear from every direction. "Everyone, hold your fire!" Whittaker yelled.
"Stand down, detain the vampire!" said one of the armored fur, his gun aimed right at the two wolves.
"I said sand down, solider," Whittaker said, holding up his badge. The commanding officer, a tall lion stepped forward, and looked at the white wolf. He took off his helmet and looked down at the much shorter wolf.
"Evening Witchbane, you better have one hell of a good reason why we haven't put this bastard down,"
"Hey, that's not fair, you don't even know me," Brandon said.
"Silence vamp, or I might decide to cut out your tongue,"
"Whittaker, they'll be perfect for the job,"
"Explain yourselves,"
"I'd love to, but I'd much rather do it in the comfort of your office," the white wolf said with a bow.
"Fine, stand down men, false alarm, go fight each other if you're looking for some action," said the lion as they walked down the open corridor. All traffic seemed to diverge to move out of the huge lion's way. The mad themselves into a Victorian styled office, with lush fabrics and chairs all around them. Various trophies of beast hung around, some that had eyes seemed to look at the new visitors. "What are you doing bringing a vamp here?" he asked, as he took off his armor, and sat behind his desk, in a stretched undershirt.
"Listen, Theo, this isn't one of your run of the mill vamps, he's the last old one, not sure if you heard about the shit going down, but he's in charge now, and we need to settle a few things,"
"Yes, we've killed the council that in the end was corrupt, now I've decided to put aside differences, and would like to ask for your help."
"What makes you think the slayers, the people who kill your people, would want to help you? Are you mad? Witchbane, you have a heavy reputation to defend, and you bring in this lunatic to offer us a deal?"
"Well, I'll be more than happy to pay for your services, and rumor has it, it's business has been slow," Brandon said, playing his diplomacy the best he could.
"You think you can afford us?"
"I am the council's technical next of kin, whatever savings and investments they've held for centuries are now all mine, I could buy you out six times before you could pack your shit and go," Brandon said, playing hardball with the lion.
"Money's one thing kid, but you think you've got what it takes to command me?" he said, standing up, rolling his impressive shoulders.
"Sir, I don't think this is necessary," Whittaker said, trying to calm them down, but Brandon had already stood up.
"Yeah, I've fought your kind before, I'm sure I can take you," he said, now matching the lion's pride.
"Guys!"
"Shut up!" they both screamed at Whittaker, making his ears go flat.
"I accept your challenge, you win, we work for you, I win, and you'll probably be dead," Theo said as he opened the door, motioning for them to follow.
"So be it,"
"What the hell do you think you're doing, this is the one guy even I wouldn't want to get in a fight with,"
"It's the only way for this to work out," he said with a smile and left. They followed the lion to the other side of the hall, into a great wooden door way. On the other side, was a large courtyard, paved in stone. "So, we gonna duke it out here?"
"Yes, first one to admit defeat or die, looses, prepare yourself!"
"Fine," replied Brandon. The lion motioned a large open paw, and someone tossed him a great spear. Brandon traced a claw tip across the back of his hand, and drew forth his axe. The lion swung his spear a few times, gauging the weight, before he aimed at his target. He tossed the spear, and it flashed through the air, Brandon dodged before it could impale him, but suddenly the lion was there, his hands on the spear as he turned around and smashed the wolf into the wall with the other end.
"Is that the best you've got?" he said with a bellowing roar. He didn't bother waiting for a response as he charged once more, but the tip of his spear stopped as it met the edge of Brandon's axe. The wolf stopped the thrust, and began to split the tip of the reinforced steel before the lion withdrew, and tried to club him once more. Brandon was ready for the spin, and countered with a mid slash, the lion dodged gracefully as he took a step back, and stabbed his spear forward once more. They moved fast, and matched eachother's pace as they courtyard developed holes and cracks everywhere. They were well matched till the lion tossed the wolf back with a large swipe. Brandon landed with a thud and rolled to dodge the spear from impaling him into the ground. Then as he stood up, the lion let out a grand roar, with such force, some of the stone around him cracked from the force. The sonic shock stunned Brandon as he could feel his eardrums bursting. Brandon couldn't hear, and held up his axe just in time to glance the spear, making it miss his vitals and stab into his shoulder.
He grunted as the lion charged, and pinned the wolf to the wall, before whaling on him with his fist. Brandon took a deep breath, and hardened the blood in his veins. The lion yelped as his knuckles cracked against his resilient skin. Brandon punched the lion with all his strength, tossing him across the court yard as he ripped the spear out of his bone. The wound closed itself as he allowed his blood to flow once more. He wasted no time and kicked the lion in the head. The large brute flew back as blood ran down his muzzle. Brandon called out to the lion's blood, and caused it to stiffen in his joints, making it hard to breath. He tried to pick himself off the ground, but began to wheeze as his chest constricted on him. Soon he fell back onto his knees, and tapped his hand on the ground in submission. Brandon let him go, and prepared himself should the lion make a surprise attack.
The lion knew defeat when he saw it, and bowed to the wolf, "I guess you are indeed worthy of our services, but what would a warrior of your caliber need from us?"
"Theo, I need you to help me watch over the rest of the things that belong in the night, we can't let them run loose and do as they please, and for hell sure not let what happened a few days ago come back again,"
"You'll find the report on your desk," Whittaker said as he looked at his nails.
"Fine, I'll read it when I have time, but I must say, you have a very interesting ability."
"Yes it's something I inherited when I kil..." Brandon was cut off midsentence when a loud alarm sounded. Suddenly a hole opened up, and dropped off a large tiger, a larger bear, a fox, and a very clad dressed coyote.
"Hey guys," Aiden said before they were pushed to the ground to avoid incoming gun fire.
"Cease fire!" Theo shouted, it took a few seconds before the bullets stopped. "I take it you know these people,"
"Yeah, Andrew, good to see you," Brandon said, giving the bear a hug. "Glad everyone could make it, alive," he said looking at all the snipers. "Okay, the deal has been made between the slayers and us, as far as the rest, we are now the new council," Brandon said, waving to his friends.
"Wait, what?" Aiden said, "You're bleeding!" he said wiping some blood off the wolf's muzzle.
"Yeah, I'll be fine," he said as he gave the fox a kiss. "Back to the announcement, Andrew, Charlene, Whittaker, Edward, and Aiden, you are all propositioned to become members of the council, and my most trusted advisors, will you accept?"
"Anything for you darling," the coyote said.
"Well, it would give me a closer look as I keep the history," Andrew said.
"As long as it pays well," Whittaker said, tipping his hat.
"I go where he goes," Edward said standing next to the white wolf, wrapping an arm around his chest.
"How about you," Brandon asked Aiden.
"Should you really mix pleasure with business?" the fox asked, placing his hands on his hips.
"Aiden, it was because I mixed business with pleasure that you're even here today," Brandon said.
"Well, then I hope this serves as an answer," he said as he pulled the wolf's muzzle into his and kissed him deeply. The others looked, and awed, some onlookers even applauded. Theo walked up to Whittaker and Edward.
"Is that fox, a..?"
"Yeah, he's a void seeker, but he's got a grip on things," Edward said.
"Ah, well, he's...an adorable little thing,"
"Ain't he?" Whittaker said as they watched them finally break the kiss.
"I told you that I would protect you, and that includes from yourself, yes, I'll be part of the council,"
"Then so be it, from this day forth I am the new leader of the council, and have appointed all these to be my advisers. You all bear whiteness to grand change, hopefully for a grand age of peace, but never lower your guard, for you all now, are the new peace keepers of this era!" He said to all the slayers.
"It means we're all gonna get paid!" Theo roared, and they all followed with applause. "I'll need to go over some paperwork with you," Theo said as he nudged Brandon. Aiden stared up at what had to be the biggest lion he had ever seen. The lion flashed him a grin, before Brandon pulled him away.
"Yes, let's get the paperwork out of the way, and you can look forward to your next paycheck." He said as he dragged him back to the office. After a few tons of paperwork, a few reworking of contracts and everything documented and read over by Andrew, they finished the last of the paperwork, sealing their deal. They shook paws, and Aiden took everyone home. Whittaker had returned to find a new home with Edward at his side, and Aiden returned with Brandon back on to the golden fields of his realm. "I'm glad that's all over now,"
"Baby, it's just beginning," Aiden said as they watched the sun set.
"I know, there's a lot of clean up to do, but as long as I have you, I don't have to worry,"
"Quiet now, you don't have sway me with words anymore," the fox said as he pushed the wolf over, and laid on top of him. Their muzzles met, and Aiden snapped his fingers, the sun disappeared, and was replaced with a grand moon. They laid there in eachother's arms, in eachother's protection. Nothing would hurt them, nothing would could disturb them, they spent the rest of the night expressing the word love without words at all.
