Hunters Moon New Moon Rising Chapter Eight
Things started to return to normal, especially now that Pelnak was freed of the dark impulses and influences of the Therian which tried to turn him. He was still troubled by what he had done to his beloved Cassiopeia - but she forgave him - but he sensed she would never truly trust him the way she had.
He didn't blame her one little bit...but the jealousy that burned within him grew day by day, as Ely and Cassiopeia spent more and more time together.
Cassiopeia had noted the changes in Pelnak, mentally and physically, after they freed his mind from the Therian's dark embrace. His coat began to shine with a vibrant, glossy look to it, his weight returned slowly but surely and he seemed healthier and more himself.
Ely dozed in the sun, when he wasn't with Cassiopeia, so one mid-afternoon, Pelnak approached as quietly as he could, but Ely's ears flicked and before Pelnak could get within ten feet, Ely sighed quietly.
"What is it Pelnak?" Ely asked quietly, not even opening a single eye, as he remained limp and almost lifeless.
"Ely?"
Ely opened one eye and flicked an ear towards him questioningly
"What are you doing? You seem to be snoozing an awful lot lately?
Ely sighed softly. "Aye, I am. In part, it is because I'm still slowly physically recovering. When I died, because of my foolishness, its done immense physical harm to my body - mostly internally, where it can not be seen. Alas, not only is it physical, but my links to the magick have been severely taxed and strained."
Pelnak looked over as Cassiopeia approached, her muzzle full of tasty shoots and herbs she'd fed on, before she chewed twice and swallowed them.
"Ely, you mentioned once - about our change? How we're doing it..."
Ely flicked an ear wearily. "Aye lass, it shouldn't be - painful - I just don't understand it! For me, I could change my form from my half-human half Red Deer form, to my animal form, easily and in less time than I could think of it."
Frowning, Cassie glanced at Pelnak, who blinked slowly and stared at Ely in confusion. "Can you elaborate on what you meant?"
Ely sighed, then weakly struggled to his hooves, standing there his body quivering as he took a dozen deep breaths before he answered. "I think so yes, now explain how do you shift your forms, what is thought as you shift?"
Cassiopeia frowned in confusion, before she answered a few moments later. "I don't really think about it I guess, I just see the form in my head and become it."
Ely listened, then pondered before laying himself back down with an exhausted grunt. "Yet you fear it? Fear the process of change? Will not do it unless absolutely needed?"
"Yes because it hurts us so!" Cassie shuddered and Pelnak moved over to stand beside her, then gently nuzzled her neck, before draping his neck over hers in a protective, jealous way that wasn't lost on Ely.
"Pain? It shouldn't hurt either of you!" Ely mused. "That fear is part of the problem I suspect. You both are forcing the change within you, so your body reacts with pain and such when it is forced to change! Your body has learned that it will hurt when you change your forms, so it instinctively causes you pain, as that is all it knows."
Ely was a moment, before he spoke again, his voice growing weaker as he exerted much of his strength to talk to them. "Tell me have you tried it by wanting to be that form? I mean really want it, want to embrace it like a loved one?"
Cassiopeia and Pelnak exchanged glances in utter confusion, before both answered him. "No..."
Ely grunted and shuddered. "I think, therein lies the problem for you both, you were never taught how to shift without pain and hurt...yes, this explains an awful lot now.
"How..." Both Whitetail's answered, even more overwhelmed and confused.
Ely coughed and shuddered, before he shook his head weakly. "Lass the most complex of trees start with a single root. Now I want you to change... This time do not fear the pain, do not simply see the form as a goal to achieve but embrace it. Want to become it for the joys that form bring. To be one with it in its warmth and love. It is a loving part of you not something to be feared."
Cassie swallowed nervously, before she closed her eyes and she began to transform herself from her anthropomorphic body back to her natural feral self. Crying out, Cassie paused in the agonising shift, shaking her head and heavily panting.
"I...I can't..." Cassiopeia wailed.
"You can, and you will - " Ely growled at her. "See in your mind, the shape of your feral self! See the doe in every way and shape she is, down to the finest detail! See yourself as that proud feral doe!
Cassie sobbed, the tears sliding down her cheeks, as her mental landscape shifted. Her mental picture reformed, seeing her anthro form looking at the terrified and trembling feral doe. It was Cassiopeia was a ghost, watching these two. With a tremble, the Doe stared back, ears pinned and ready to flee. Cassiopeia watches her anthromorph form prepare to grab the doe and force it to submit, until she gasps silently and senses Ely's presence in her mind.
"No Cassiopeia - don't hurt her..." Ely's words come to her. "She is afraid, deathly afraid - you need to embrace her like a loved one, comfort her like she is a frightened fawn."
Cassiopeia stepped forwards, her anthromorph self vanishing as she passes straight through it, then she carefully holds her paws out to the feral doe. It steps backwards in fear, eyes wide and body trembling.
"Hey, its alright little one..." Cassiopeia whispers, as she gently strokes the Doe's neck, feeling the quickened pulse and the rapid panting breaths of fear. Cassiopeia closed her eyes, focusing on the doe before her, then sending emotions of love and trust outwards.
With a frightened squeal, the feral form stepped backwards, but Cassie moved with it, then slid her arms around its neck and held it close, as the feral body kicked and fought, but Cassiopeia maintained her connection, remaining calm and peaceful until the feral slowly started to ease, then quit trembling.
"That's it, now, merge with it Cassiopeia, absorb it into yourself, and you into her..."
"I...don't understand..."
"Just...hold her, become one with her..."
Feeling the warmth of that form, Cassie closed her eyes and just held the Doe, feeling her love and affection for it, before she suddenly woke up like she was in a deep, dreamless sleep, her muzzle falling open as she drew a loud gasp and leapt to her hooves, shaking and clutching her head.
"Woah...what - " Cassiopeia murmured, feeling out of place and confused.
"Change for me Cassiopeia, please?" Ely muttered quietly, as he watched her, his head lying on the ground.
Cassiopeia closed her eyes, then took a few hesitant breaths - then in a single heartbeat, she morphed from her anthro form to her feral form, painlessly and in surprise of both Ely and Pelnak.
"Well done lass, that is the key to your forms!"
Cassiopeia's head twisted around, looking down each furred side, underneath and along her back as best she could.. Pelnak watches on, staring wide-eyed and bewildered as Cassiopeia started babbling excitedly
"Pelnak, my love - it...its..." Cassiopeia's voice sped up until she was truly babbling, her words running together.
Without warning, she knocked him flat, then flopped on his and started lathering his muzzle in licks as her body trembled from ears to tail.
Ely watched Cassiopeia and Pelnak, then chuckled quietly, watching the two Whitetails reaffirm their love for each other in the most simplest and beautiful of ways. Eventually, Pelnak rolls Cassiopeia over and carefully stands, helping her back to her cloven hooves as she stands, quivering with excitement and pleasure.
"How..." Pelnak began, then glanced at Cassiopeia, who squealed and took off, running laps around the clearing. "Well if she can do it then I can too, how do I start?"
Ely shuddered, then looked at Pelnak. "As with Cassiopeia, I need you to relax, clear your mind...now, envision the change..."
Pelnak followed Cassie's example taking a deep breath.
"Now picture your feral form! See it as it stands before you."
Pelnak exhales slowly before concentrating seeing his feral form before him wild and defiant, it pawed at the ground, then scraped it - before tossing its antlered head and roaring in rage and defiance at the anthropomorph before it.
"No, don't show fear Pelnak!" Ely grunted. "Stand your ground, it is afraid, hurt and scared - you run, it will run you down...Stand your ground let it come to you."
Pelnak swallowed, then done as he was told, standing defiantly as the feral stag roared and pawed again, tossing its head wildly. Carefully, it stepped closer and closer, its antlers pointing at Pelnak as it snorted and stepped closer again.
"it remembers what you were - not what you are now, it is scared Pelnak, very scared...the Therian done terrible damage to the link between you and your forms! Now, we must prove that we're no threat, but also, that we're strong and dominant as well! Remember? You fought together - not apart - to defeat the Therian...now, embrace the stag, become the stag..."
Pelnak stared his feral form in the eyes - eyes that gazed back with fear and un-imagined rage. Yet it come to him when he needed it the most, lending its expertise and strength to save himself - and his mate from the Therian's influence.
Pelnak extended his right arm in thanks, the feral snorting and snapping at his outstretched hand. Pelnak sighed and stepped closer, placing his paw on the Stag's forehead, right between the razor sharp antlers.
"You will not hurt me, as I will not hurt you..." Pelnak breathed softly. "I am you, and you are me - together as one, forever shall it be."
Closing his eyes, Pelnak heard the sob from the buck, before he himself began to cry, the warmth and love he felt, flowing into the stag who pushed forwards - then like Cassiopeia, Pelnak found himself awakening, laying on the ground and the residual tears sliding down his muzzle.
"Excellent!" Ely coughed and nodded weakly, before his chin slumped back onto his forelegs with a thud. "Well done Pelnak, Now the next step should be much easier for the both of you. Close your eyes and see your wild forms, embrace them and become them once again."
Cassie and Pelnak both grin in excitement before closing their eyes and seeing their feral forms. Excited by the change no long apprehensive or fearing it they see their feral forms come bounding excitedly towards them before leaping into their outstretched arms like excited puppies, closing around them the change takes hold.
Warm erotic sensations working over their bodies once more as they shift even faster than the last time, in seconds Cassie's eyes open to look at Pelnak half way through his shift watching curiously as he sighs and wiggles, like trying to chase an unseen itch before another thirty seconds pass and his shift completes opening his eyes to see Cassie smiling excitedly down her muzzle at him eyes bright.
Ely is ecstatic "Outstanding! I was wrong in what I said earlier that didn't take as long as I thought it would you are both now aligned with your forms and the more you practise and shift the easier and faster they will come"
Ely's nose twitches as he gets a whiff of a young fertile whitetail doe entering her heat cycle he sees Cassie focused on her mate staying close to him as his shift completes before they look into each other's eyes before Cassie bounds past him instigating the mating courtship as Pelnak sniffs, then ran after her.
Teasingly, Cassiopeia licked Pelnak's muzzle, erotic tingles still rippling around her body after the shift. Pelnak moved behind her, nuzzling and licking at her warm folds, before Cassiopeia suddenly slapped her tail down and leaped away, her tail flagging wildly. Pelnak was a bit confused at first, before the scent hit his nostrils like a bullet and he ran after the fleeing doe, his own tail flagging wildly.
Ely smile and sighs quietly, a tear sliding down his furred cheek. "Ah to be young again..."
He blinked, feeling his penis slide from its protective sheath, as he inhaled the scent of Cassiopeia's heat cycle starting. Ely's mind flares with the instinctual thoughts of chasing Cassie courting her, fighting Pelnak for the right to breed and take this doe for himself. He smiled then drove the mental images from his mind. Yet his Cervid erection refuses to follow those thoughts as it shoots a wet spurt of pre against his soft belly.
Chuckling Ely mumbles to himself. "Well I suppose somethings will never act their age!"
Pondering for a few moments, Ely rolled over onto his side, then tucked his head as best he could under his belly. Smelling the sticky fluid that spattered his belly only encouraged him more, as he felt his spine crackle and muscles protest as they were twisted and moved into uncomfortable positions.
"One consolation - " Ely muttered, as his nose brushed against his fully aroused member. "I don't have antlers anymore..."
Carefully, he twisted and grunted a bit more, before he could more easily achieve his desires as he slurped the first inch and a half of his shaft with his tongue, tasting himself and shivering.
"Not the first time..." He muttered, stretching his neck out to take more of it into his muzzle.
Ely managed with great pain and difficulty, to take about 1/3 his own length inside his muzzle and throat, before he wrapped his tongue around it and began selfpleasuring himself. With Cassiopeia's growing arousal filling his nostrils, he knew that despite the uncomfortable position he was in - it wouldn't take him long to reach orgasm - the pain and discomfort be damned...
*
Cassie paused to let her buck catch another heavy whiff of her scent, seeing him shudder. With a squeal, she ran off again, just before Pelnak's tongue can lap at her tail and glistening folds.
Pelnak caught up to her again, his mind inflamed by the scent. He leaned forwards to snatch a taste of that delicious scent, but Cassiopeia always managed to just flinch away at the last second, teasing him mercilessly.
Cassie bounded away, then as Pelnak snorted in frustration, she looked over her shoulder and flicked her tail at him. "No not yet, you must earn your prize prove yourself as the strongest buck!"
Cassie suddenly squeals, as she feels Pelnak's strong, muscular forelegs slide over her hips, then he grips her tight as she squeals loudly, Pelnak driving himself forwards and sliding effortlessly into her folds. He grunts and begins wildly rutting her, any sense of gentleness and control driven from his mind as the instincts seize him - and Cassie relents, her vaginal tunnel crushing down mercilessly as Pelnak strives to drive more of his already impressive length inside her. His forelegs close tight around her flanks locking to her rear legs as he rapidly thrusts into his heat stricken mate in a instinctual desperate need to breed her.
Cassie's eyes roll the heat amplifying the sensitivity of her inner working several times over, her fur tingles at his every touch his chest pulled tight to her back. His body heat warms her to the point of nearing unbearable. His sweat and musk filled her nostrils, his tongue against her head and neck made her squirm and squeal, and the feel of his chest fur penetrating her coat to tickle at the sensitive curve of her spine while his forelegs compress her midsection the tension enough to massage her ovaries into releasing a fertile egg starting it on its journey to await the fresh flood to come.
Pelnak shudders thrusting wildly the spicy scent leaking out around his buried length to cling to the guard hairs around his sheath grips his senses in their demands for him to drain ever last drop of his sticky love as into the source of the molten fire from whence they came. His body all too happy to comply with this most reasonable of demands as he pulls tighter on her hips with his forelegs, accelerating his already rapid thrusts, his body responding to the scent.
Cassiopeia is beside herself in pleasure and amazement. Never has mating with Pelnak felt like this before. His scent permeating every breath she takes cause her to clench tighter in desperate need for the flood to come spiking her lusts ever higher making her own heady scents encourage and drive him wilder and wilder. His lust grew by the second, his sharp, forceful thrusts as he ground his groin against hers, a cascading loop that pushed both Whitetail's minds into complete oblivion.
Neither could have spoken, or even conveyed their emotions - so lost in the
primal urge of their ancestral instincts, they were neither willing or caring to resist natures pleasurable pull and demands to fore-fill the need perpetuate the species.
Cassiopeia's orgasm struck her like a hoof between the eyes as her heightened senses fed by Pelnak's dominating rutting musk pushes her over the edge. Her muscular contractions crushed down, her urges compelling her as she pushed herself back as hard as she could - forcing another half inch of Pelnak's member into her tightening folds, his penile head pressed firmly against the opening to her womb.
Pelnak was unable to resist the sensation or the urges - his scrotum tightened and he leapt forwards and upwards as his member pushed into Cassiopeia's cervix, the thick spurts of his semen flooding it and making them both squeal with primal lust and intensity. Pelnak's wild ejaculatory lunge lifted him clean off his hind hooves and nearly drove Cassiopeia into the ground head first.
Breathing hard he loses his balance, sliding free of Cassiopeia's warmth, then stumbling and falling to his side, his penis still spurting thick wads of semen, before Cassiopeia shuddered and fell to her knees, panting and shaking.
"Oh - " Pelnak gasped, his throat burning and dry, his voice barely a hoarse croak. "I love you so much Cassie."
Cassie twists her neck to lick him on the side of the muzzle, her own breath ragged and throat aching. I... I you."
Their eyes closed with satisfied grins on their faces the two fall asleep, exhausted and broken after their bestial, feral mating.
*
Several hours later, and many mating's of equal intensity, both Pelnak and Cassiopeia staggered back into the glade, drenched in sweat and stinking of musk. Ely blinked, then swallowed repeatedly, using his long tongue to swirl over his lips and try to find the last of his own sticky, salty fluids he might have missed as he'd pleasured himself to five separate orgasms. Ely's nose catches their heady scents but Cassie's scent no longer screams out in need, he smiles knowing that new life has taken hold deep within her.
*
A week later, Ely is more mobile - still weak and easily exhausted, but he leads the two Therian's deep into the woods. At last, he finds a large, flat clearing as he seems to survey the site. He shifts to his anthromorph form, then shudders and stands on his cloven hooves, eyes closed and three fingered paws splayed out either side of him. His head turns slowly left to right, then tilts up as he draws a deep breath, ears twitching as if he's listening to something the two Whitetail can not hear.
He lifts his paws, turning them so the palms face upwards, before he speaks a single word in a language neither Pelnak nor Cassiopeia knows. Without warning, a large green ring of fire erupts from the very ground, encircling Ely instantly. Cassie squeals and Pelnak flinches - but there is no heat from the fire - it doesn't even scorch the grass on which it burns.
Ely concentrates, the effort taking its toll, as the magickal runes form an outer and an inner ring, gleaming like molten silver as they appear around two concentric circles. Both Therian's jump back in fright at the sight of the silver runes, but they quickly realise its just colour - not actual silver in front of them,
"Ely...you're frightening us...." Pelnak wails, as he nuzzles Cassie, whose eyes are like the full moon, they're so wide.
Ely is still, looking skywards, before he shudders and drops back onto all fours again.
"Do not be alarmed this is the circle. I summoned it into being by will and thought. It will assist us as you learn by acting as a focal point for us to draw Magicks while protecting ourselves and the surroundings from any negative effects caused by us making mistakes as you learn. Now, enter the circle as you wish, with love and trust in your hearts."
Cassie swallows and hesitates, before she closes her eyes and steps over the green fire...she passes through it, then blinks and turns about, surprised and bewildered. Pelnak watched her, before he more cautiously stepped closer, then his muscles bunched and he leapt as far as he could and when he landed, his left foreleg crumbled. Only Ely's strong grasp stopped him from falling and hurting himself. Cassiopeia trembled, feeling a strange warmth wash over her, then flow through her from her hooves to the tips of her ears.
Ely explains to Cassie in deep thought "At our core we are luminous beings not mere flesh and bone. We posses magicks, tied to the natural rhythm and way of the world. Magicks is our strength. It flows that is the way of all things, from the plants, the trees, the water - even the very air itself. It surrounds us and binds us with invisible tendrils of energy, we may draw upon."
Pelnak sniggers then in his best Yoda impression he speaks. "Luke you must feel the force around you!"
Cassie and Ely turn to look at him blankly.
Ely with a paw half raised, his ears flattening in disdain and disapproval at
being interrupted.
Cassie frowned, looking at Pelnak "What?"
Pelnak stares back incredulously, eyes widening. "Really? Master Yoda? The force? Star wars?"
Ely looks at Cassiopeia, who looked back at Ely, then both Red Deer and Whitetail turned to frown in confusion at Pelnak.
Looking up, Ely frowns deeper, then shakes his head slowly, looking back at
Pelnak. "The stars are not in conflict with one another."
Pelnak's ears flatten, as he is crestfallen and confused himself, shaking his head slowly. "Never mind, it was a bad joke."
Cassie blinks, then shakes herself, before looking back at Ely. "So? Now what"
Ely turns back to face her, lifting a paw, but seeing the flash of Jealousy in Pelnak's eyes, he refrains from touching her. "Now? Now we begin. Relax, close your eyes!. Empty your mind...good...now, tell me, what do you feel inside you?"
Cassie lowered her head, before frowning as she tried hard to empty her mind.
"I feel tingles, like leaves on the wind brushing past me"
"That is the Magicks the circle contain to use them we must channel and focus them."
"How?" Cassiopeia murmured.
Ely flicked an ear, then nodded, although Cassiopeia couldn't see it. "Allow me to demonstrate"
Ely closed his eyes concentrating before speaking in his native tongue again. "Berkana, Uruz, Thurisaz!"
Cassie watches as green and gold Magicks flow towards him concentrating on the two stubs upon his head where his antlers once stood. The stubs begin to extend and branch before there were 16 ends once reached the flow of Magicks stopped and Ely gave a firm shake of his head the Magicks fell away like dust leaving a shiny new set of gold antlers that faded back to their original reddish brown with the intricate fine runes and markings shining brightly for a few moments after before they too faded.
Ely flicks both ears their once more feeling antler tickle the sensitive fur at their tips.
"Like that" Ely says simply
Cassie's eyes widen in shock and surprise. "Can...can I learn magicks such as this?
"A doe should not grow antlers" Ely laughs softly. "But yes, you may learn magicks. As a pure-blood Therian, you have the magicks within you. However, yours is slightly different to my own. It will be - difficult - but not insurmountable, for you to learn your own magicks, and learn to weave and control them - in time."
Cassiopeia bit him sharply, but not hard enough to break skin. "You know what I meant!"
Ely snorted softly, then managed a weak chuckle. "I know Fèidh magicks - yours - are different, as we're similar, but grew up in different lands. I could not teach you mine, and you could not teach me yours. However - the principle remains the same. We shall start with Kaunaz."
Cassie frowned, then shook her head as she tried multiple times to repeat the word, until at last she had the inflection and tone right. "Kaunaz? What's that?"
Ely sighed softly, already weary and exhausted. "Kaunaz means fire and Knowledge, Kaunaz is fire and knowledge. The are ancient words that hold power for those that understand, once we know the word we can then control the thing. In time I will teach you those words but we must take small steps first and learn as we go."
"I think I understand...but how do I use it? "
Ely pondered, then he knelt down and picked up a stick, holding it in his paws, before he put it in the centre of the circle.
"We will start with this. Cassiopeia? I want you to look at this stick and clear your mind. Think only of the word Kaunaz look only at the middle of the stick and repeat that word softly in your thoughts, focus on nothing else."
Cassie stared at the stick, her furred lips moving silently as she speaks the word over in her mind again and again.
Suddenly, the stick got the faintest whiff of smoke, that faded away.
"Excellent!" Ely commended her. "Now say it a little louder in your mind!" Cassiopeia frowned, then concentrated harder.
"A bit louder, once more..."
At first nothing happens, as Cassiopeia's ears flatten, before the stick starts to smoke - then with a faint crackle, it suddenly burst into flames the same as those that encircled them
Pelnak squeals in excitement, before Ely silences him with a glare his concentration on Cassiopeia
"Stop!" Ely commands her, but Cassiopeia's body refuses to obey, as her mind is seized by the magicks that unfold within her, the flame growing larger and hotter.
"Cassiopeia_, stop!_" Ely screams at her.
Cassiopeia gasps, then screams as the uncontrolled magick lashes at her very psyche. Ely shudders as part of it lashes him as well, yet Pelnak remains untouched.
"You...must control it young one, do not ever let it control you! That fire is real, it is every bit as destructive and wild as any bushfire. It cares not for whom or what it would consume, do you understand me? As you are inexperienced, and I confess, I know nothing about Therian Magicks - some spells will not harm us, but some can drain us until we are unconscious - or as you seen with my foolish pride...can even kill us... As I done, and my beloved mother before me..."
"How do I - " Cassiopeia shuddered.
"No, nothing further will I teach you today little one - I am weak and exhausted, I must rest, and you are still only touching the edges of your potential - in time - we will explore your Therian Magicks together...I promise."
*
A week later, Cassiopeia, Pelnak and Ely stand inside the circle again, as Cassie demonstrates her ability to summon, channel and control the fire, to Ely's surprise and pleasure.
"Today we will learn more complex spells, the first time you saw me regenerate my antlers, I used Berkana, Uruz, Thurisaz. Berkana means Earth Mother and Birth, Uruz means Primal creative force and Gateway, Thurisaz means protection Polarity Regeneration"
Cassie thinks and says "So you commanded Earth mother creative force regeneration?"
"Precisely however it is no mean feat! Magick is fickle and dangerous. It will harm or it will heal - often, the slightest mistake of intent or purpose, it'll savage you worse than any pain you've ever imagined. Wounds will tear through fur and flesh, or worse, do irreparable harm internally! I have taught you only the most basic of single word spell so far. Too use a multi word spell you would draw that many times more Magicks. It will wear you down faster than they would individually. So a three word spell uses three times the Magicks, thus, three times the normal drain on your magicka reserves within you."
"How do I know my magicka reserves?"
"They will grow with you, as you become more experienced and powerful in their use and powers. However, as I said, I am unfamiliar with your particular Therian Magicks, I have only my own Fèidh magicks to use as an example. Now, this one is important - I will teach you how to use magicks for healing - either of yourself, or of another."
Cassiopeia nodded slowly, clearing her mind as she took several deep breaths and nodded again.
Ely looked at her, then spoke the words slowly. "They are, Laguz, meaning
Water, Fertility and living renewal and Thurisaz which as I mentioned is Protection Polarity Regeneration. To use them you look upon the injury and chant them in that sequence in the case of healing you need to focus on Laguz focusing on "Living renewal" then Thurisaz and "Regeneration. Begin slowly and softly and then build until you have the rate you require! However, beware this spell draws heavily and you may need to reach out to the life around you to borrow some Magicks to achieve it! Never, ever, take all of it, for if we take too much from others, then we can kill as we seek to heal, do you comprehend? If we take too much that around us which gave their Magicks dies as the price that is not our way."
Cassiopeia nodded slowly and shuddered.
Ely Smiled "Now shall we proceed?"
"Yes im willing to try"
"excellent!"
Ely extends a fang be for making a small cut on the back of his paw
"Remember, Focus on Laguz, living renewal. Thurisaz, regeneration think on these softly in your mind and focus on the damaged tissue in the wound reforming as vines form to bind a forest."
Cassie takes a breath and focuses on the magicks around her asking to borrow a little magicks of them to assist her as she concentrats and looks at elys wound
"Laguz Thurisaz... Laguz Thurisaz... Laguz Thurisaz"
Cassie chants slowly as she does green magicks trickle into Elys wound and as she continued the small strings spring from one side of the cut to the other connecting it again and pulling the wound closed before the magicks dissipate having nothing to heal.
Cassie feels the magicks stop and collapses to the ground panting hard opening her eyes she sees Ely holding her carefully his wound closed completely Ely is surprised at how well she had achieved the spell even he had taken quite a few attempts before he got it right.
"Well done Cassie! a perfect spell! No mean feat!"
" Rest now, healing takes quite a toll but you should be recovered in an hour or so."
Cassie felt like she hadn't slept in a week still panting heavily she curled around head resting on her forlegs before sighing
"Thank you ely..."
moments later she was snoring softly.
Ely smiles giving a soft pet to her head
"Rest you have earned it this day."
Ely looks over at Pelnak, looking at Cassie with concern
"Do not worry she is fine just mentally tired."
Pelnak nods and stands watch over Cassie as she sleeps
***
An hour or so later Cassie awakens to Pelnak and Ely at her side she looks at Pelnak meeting his gaze before smiling and nodding then turning to Ely she asks
"You said your mother transported you. Do you know how she did it and could you teach it to me?"
Ely's smile drops immediately
"Lass... that is powerful magicks it is not a spell to be asked of lightly."
"So you do know?"
Sighing seeing he cannot avoid the question he answers it
"Aye, it is a four word spell and I am able to do it but only for one and it drains my magicks heavily, As such it is a final resort when I am trapped and have no other means of escape. When I have been forced to use that spell I am unable to use my magicks for many weeks, old and practised as I am a 4 word spell is the limit of my magicks"
Cassie made to ask another question before Ely continued
"My mother had some knowledge but had not practised the magicks of my people from what I have been able to learn of her, how she knew of that spell I do not know but she not having the magicks to fuel it supplemented them with her life force and spirit to make it work."
"Then how are you able to do it?" Cassie asks
Ely smiles
"Lass my antlers serve another function other than as weapons for fighting predators or rivals, you noticed the marking inborn within them when you inspected the one I cast did you not?"
Cassie scratches an ear before replying "Yes I did they were interesting and I did wonder about why they had those markings, they did not appear to have been put there later but seamed to have formed at the same time the bone of the antler did."
"Aye it is a conduit, it acts to magicks as a lone tree atop a mountain does to lightning, giving an easy path to follow. In this way I am able to collect magicks much quicker than otherwise would be possible it is this that grants me the ability to survive a four word spell."
Pelnak nudges Cassie
"I think that's enough questions for one day my love."
Cassie nuzzles into Pelnak giving a lick on his face,
Ely smiles then returns to feeding quietly.
To Be Continued...
