Tiger of the Mountain
A very short adult story Inspired by The Most Dangerous Game by Teiirka here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18745576/
It's very short, straight, and to the point like most older ideas I have written before... Tiger Stripes, Lefkosa Country, Living with Lions, and Snowdrift Passion to name a few. The human character and the tiger in question do not even have names. My absolute word minimum for a story has been 4,400 for many years, and I have only broken that once with Living with Lions. This one is 4,640 words of quick adult action with enough details to make it look like an actual story.
As far as titles go I thought of: Tiger Mountain, Tiger of the Mountain, The Tiger's Mountain, and Cave of Desires. I just picked one...
All in all, this is the opposite to "Seaming with Love" that I submitted on Nov. 30th. If you like it, favorite, vote, an comment if you wish!
Edit: thank you for all of the grammar corrections, and pointing out an unfinished section!
Footsteps quietly walked over the damp leaf covered ground. It was misting, but the grey skies would hopefully part and move on. The ever present fog obscured anything far ahead, giving the entire forest an eerie feeling. A very soft patter from the fog drip mimicked the sound of rainfall. At the foot of the lower Prambalang Mountains, the jungle lowlands were gradually replaced by cloud forests of stout alpine trees and a few deciduous trees. Ferns grew in abundance in every direction, and green moss covered tree trunks and branches like invasive carpet. Other than the distant screeches of small tree dwelling macaques, the noises of the mountains were much more soothing. Constant chiming of crickets paired with frogs and other small birds created a unique symphony of forest melodies.
A human wearing a small backpack carefully trekked through the wet vegetation undisturbed. His lone expedition sought to explore the mysterious and isolated region, map it out with detail, and describe anything hidden away from the impenetrable forested mountains. A love for the wilderness drove him, but also the desire for adventure, and discovering new places. He was living a dream like past explorers of the old centuries. Outside of the scientific details, there were also less reliable but fanciful tales of ghosts, spirits, and treasures that lurked within the expansive wilderness. He didn't mind the entertaining tall tales of locals, nor did he believe in them.
Continuing through the forest, he walked through a large grouping of ferns.
'I should be nearing a cliff soon.' He looked around the foggy scenery. The trees mimicked tall shadows, watching over him. A subtle noise, like his own footsteps made him pause.
"Huh? He blinked and looked ahead. The foggy backdrop made it difficult to see any subtle movements. 'Did I just hear something?' The trees and surrounding vegetation hadn't moved. There was no rustling wind to hear above the quiet sounds of birds, frogs, and insects. A hand briefly gripped the small knife tied to his waist. Taking a breath, he forced himself to relax.
'There aren't any bears or large predators out here.' He reminded himself. 'But why do I feel so uneasy?' His stomach remained tense. The feeling of another presence, watching over him, made his skin develop goosebumps. 'Maybe it was a deer?' It was his best guess.
He continued walking, unknowingly overturning a leaf on the saturated ground revealing the tracks of something foreboding. The large animalistic imprint beside his footwear would've confirmed his fears...
Up ahead, the terrain briefly leveled out and the fog lessened enough to see a fair distance ahead. A rocky cliff face came into view. The slate grey stone was almost entirely covered in mosses, ferns, and small trees. In the background, the upper mountains appeared like hazy giants. Their mighty peaks pierced the sky itself, and consequently hidden from view by the clouds.
"I can't climb this." He looked around. But the imposing stonework stretched like a wall in both directions. Unable to immediately climb higher, he searched for an alternate route. Taking a left, he crept along the moss covered rock wall. After climbing over a fallen tree, the forest opened up. The human found himself mere steps from a steep drop. The fifty foot drop from the perch quickly led back down the mountain's side, and into the lowlands. A careless step would've led to a hasty death.
"That's a big drop." He looked down only to the a step back. Further out he could see the adjacent slopes of vast forested mountainsides. Clouds snaked over random areas like a roaming dragon. It was an incredible view reminding him how far he had climbed and isolated the area was. To his side, he noticed a pathway at the edge of the cliff. The available strip of land was wide enough to walk across without any trouble.
"Perfect." He looked ahead to the other side where he could continue his hike. Carefully stepping closer, the rocky walls to his right were his only safeguards. A steady hand traced the cool stone as he kept his gaze averted from the drop merely a few steps from his left. Walking cautiously, his hand suddenly disappeared into empty space. The human paused and stared at the stone beside him. There was a small ledge above that flattened enough for moss and grasses to grow undisturbed like a section of roofing. At first it seemed like an illusion. The different dark grey shades blended together perfectly, tricking the human eye. Taking a second look, he realized it was an opening.
'Hmm. It's a cave.' He stepped inside and took a moment to rest. It was better than resting over a fifty foot drop. The cave appeared to go back a couple of steps before turning, but the short turn just ahead didn't rouse his curiosity. He wasn't hiking to explore dangerous caves.
'If it rains unexpectedly, I'll have to remember that this cave is right here.' He jotted down a note onto a small notebook before returning it to his backpack. His gaze lowered to the ground. The entrance was covered with a layer of smooth undisturbed sand, but he noticed something else. There were divots in the sand as if someone or something had walked through the area.
'What is this?' The mysterious tracks were unexplainable to him. Questions began to swarm within his head. Did a particular species inhabit the mountains? Was it unknown, or were the signs merely tricks on his eyes. Unsure, the human looked at the back of the entrance where a shiny glimmer from deeper inside piqued his interest. It wasn't water seeping from hidden crevices, but a single spot. Stepping through the sand and into the hard cave floor, a sense of disbelief overcame him as he crouched down.
"No way..." His eyes widened at the little object on the cave floor. Reaching down, it was an old silver coin. The cool metal was worn, and the markings unidentifiable, but there was no doubt that it was a silver coin. Standing up, peering around the first little turn revealed a surprise he could never have imagined. The cave opened to the size of an amorphous room. Immediately to his right, small pouches of gold coins rested against a side wall, as well as larger sacks spilled over from their own hefty contents. Even more precious coins littered the cave floor. Crouching down, he touched the cool metallic coins, sifting through them. They made noisy pinging sounds when they were dropped or moved.
"It's all real." His voice was at a loss for words. But that was only the beginning. In the middle of the narrow cave, covering the entire floor, was an impressive stack of animal pelts from various species. The furs were sleek and tidy, as if they had been made very recently. Further along the cave terra cotta jars were sealed with unknown contents. Just above, a large ivory tusk stretched from one end of the wall to another. The human explorer walked by each item, more impressed than the last. Gems, precious stones, rings, diadems, bracelets, colorfully feathered ornaments, fans, heavy scrolls, books, and so much more eagerly excited him. An old musket styled rifle hanging on the end of the cave wall appeared to be the grand finale. Equipped with a leather strap and bayonet, it looked ready to fire in an instant.
'This must be two hundred years old!' He reached up only to retract his hand, not wanting to damage the old weapon in any way. The items were incredible. Simply gazing upon the walls, he could've been inside a world renowned museum rather than a mountain cave.
"Is this a lost treasure of some kind?" He couldn't believe what his eyes were seeing. There was so much to take in, and he had to write it down in detail first!
A shadow abruptly disturbed the light filtering into the cave. Like a swift cloud covering the sun, the cave floor became darker.
'Huh?' The human stopped examining the treasures and turned around. He looked at the turn towards the front of the cave, but didn't spot anything at first. An odd feeling of confusion overcame him. Only when there was movement did he finally make out a figure. He wasn't alone!
A kind of being he had never seen before was standing in the cave's entrance. The figure was indescribably human in shape, upright with a bipedal posture, but with every attribute of a wild tigress. Well built muscles were covered in fur. Along her front from her chin to her inner thighs was a softer downy white fur. The characteristic black striped orange fur covered just about everywhere else. A long tail lazily hung just above the cave floor between her digitigrade paws.
Completely naked, save for her fur, every feature was easily outlined. She was a perfect merge of beauty and physical strength. Her breasts were well rounded and coated with the snowy white fur resembling mountain tops. The black stripes could only barely encroach the tiger's chest, like hiking trails. The pink rings of flesh on each breast stared at him like a second set of eyes. The human found himself completely speechless.
"What are you doing in my home, human?" Her voice softly echoed in the little cave. Still, no words came to his mouth. Only when the tigress lady took a step closer could he manage speech.
"I-I'm sorry!" He quickly fumbled with his words. "I didn't know anyone lived here!" His scared voice briefly echoed before dissipating. The tigress smiled, and to his surprise she reclined and laid down onto the stack of lavish animal furs. Stretched out entirely on her front, mere feet away from him. Her gaze briefly broke away as she reached out and touched a familiar simple knife on the cave floor.
'My knife!' He found that the item was no longer by his side. 'When did I drop it?' The human found himself in a dangerous position. He understood that the tigress was subtly blocking the only escape from the cave as well. She wasn't going to allow him to leave so easily. He swallowed nervously.
"Don't give me such a fearful look, human." The tigress spoke. "I can sense your fear." Her claws unsheathed, revealing themselves as she toyed with the knife. Albeit, she was simply laying there on the pelts, completely naked. It felt like she was giving him a show to view. The conflicting signs she gave weren't easing his anxiety either.
"What are you?" He eyed her voluptuous body. "You're not exactly a human, but you're not quite a tiger either."
"You can call me a tiger." She simply spoke. "But that's all I would like to tell you."
"What exactly is this place?" He asked next. "I have never heard of you before, or a cave like this existing."
"This mountain is my home, and this cave is where I live. However, these mountains are dangerous." She told the human. "Most people wouldn't attempt to climb them, but you are different. You seek adventure, wish to discover, and love being in nature untouched by man." The tigress talked as if they had known each other for years. He clenched his teeth to prevent his jaw from visibly quivering.
'How does she know that?' He briefly wondered if everything before him was part of an odd exotic dream in his mind. But there was no mistaking the fact that he was in a cave with an anthropomorphic tigress lady lounging in front of him. If everything happening was indeed real, then he needed to ask one more question...
"Is all of this yours?" He had to ask her.
"This?" She absently looked around the cave. "Yes, everything you see in this cave belongs to me." The tigress confirmed.
"How did you acquire all of this? Most of this must be hundreds of years old!" The human exclaimed. "It's a historical treasure trove!" The feline's tail tapped as she half grinned from his excitement.
"They're simply items that fell into my possession over time." Her calmness about the whole matter appeared bizarre. "How about I make you an offer?" The tigress suddenly posed a question.
"Offer?" The human was suspicious of her.
"Yes. I will let you take one thing from this cave, just one. It will be yours to keep." Her offer seemed like a gift from heaven to the explorer.
"Anything?" He found the offer very tempting.
"You can choose one thing from my cave. Anything that you desire, but you can only pick one." She repeated herself. The opportunity was unbelievable.
'What do I pick?' The human looked around the cavern full of riches. The pair of gem encrusted goblets? A diamond necklace? One of the bags of gold? The numerous silver pieces? The bundles of rolled ancient maps? A pelt of exotic fur? Would a bag full of gold coins count as one item? Greedy thoughts swarmed his desiring mind. He came looking for unexpected riches. Why should he leave empty handed? Everything in the cave was luxuriant. What could he possibly choose?
The tigress merely watched him with a lazy feline gaze, her tail tip silently tapping all the same on her striped legs.
"I'll choose..." He looked around one final time at the tigress's riches before his gaze rested squarely on her. "You!" His answer echoed through the cave until silence settled.
"Me?" Her brow lifted in mild surprise before a grand smile emerged on her feline face. "You've made the right choice." She left the dagger on the cave floor. "Although," her voice deepened as she sat up in a graceful stretch, "you won't be leaving just yet." The nude tigress slowly crawled towards him.
"Wh-what do you mean?" He tried to back up only to bump into one of the sealed jars. His heart started to race as she neared. Seeing a tiger's face made him naturally fearful, but her feminine feline and human body was undoubtedly attractive. The mixed physical reaction kept him paralyzed before the tigress. His muscles managed to move when she was looming over him. He grabbed her by the waist as she continued leaning closer. Her fur was warm from her body heat, and very soft to the touch. There was no illusion before him. She was very much real and alive, and impossible to hold off.
"You'll have to stay for the night." She pressed her warm body against his. "It's becoming dark." Her breath descended on his skin like a fog. "And I'm the only source of heat." She whispered, brushing her fuzzy lips over his skin. His eyes widened as a striped arm pulled him to her. He attempted to move, but the arm around his back was impressively strong. The human shuddered as her rough tongue lapped along his neck. Simultaneously, the straps of his backpack were loosened with ease and fell away. His vest was quickly tugged over his head before being tossed aside. Despite the bulkiness of her hands, she began swiftly unbuttoning his shirt. He quickly helped her, and quickly disrobed. With his undergarment tossed aside, there was no hiding his arousal now.
Guiding him over to the bed of animal pelts, the human sunk a little in the plush furs. Her primitive bed was more comfortable than most mattresses he had slept on. But there was little time left for romantics. The tigress hardly hesitated before pulling the human into her arms once again. She pressed her fuzzy lips to his and her dextrous tongue licked his lips. The human could even feel her whiskers dance over his cheeks. Holding onto her, he reciprocated and kissed her furry lips only to come into contact with a fierce set of canine teeth. His hesitation only furthered her aggressive desire. The mystical tigress made love to him with a ravenous appetite. Her arms held him upright to prevent him from falling backwards. The human could scarcely keep up with the big cat's pace. He felt her up as much as he was holding her back. His erect length pressed against her belly fur was acting more like a barrier as well.
She abruptly pulled back and licked her lips before eyeing what had been prodding her tummy. The human took his chance to catch his breath as she caressed his stiff member. His heart pounded in time with his throbbing length. The velvety pads of her hand felt so smooth and warm against his sensitive flesh. She released him and rose onto her knees. The downy white fur hid her sex, but he immediately felt a slick pulsating heat kiss his glans. His eyes were glued to her furry groin as she took him in to the hilt.
"Oohhh." He shuddered as the burning heat of her womanhood held his length like a vice. Trembling with pleasure, he tried pushing the tigress onto her back, but the feline wasn't wavering in the slightest. She easily out maneuvered the human and had him on his back, laying in the pelts before he knew it. Straddled atop him, there was a glimmer in her amber eyes like the bags of gold coins, reminding him that she was a predatory big cat by nature. But the intimidation dissolved into intimacy.
"Ahh." She began rocking her hips in a gentle rhythm. He held onto her for dear life as their bodies rocked intimately together. Only sharp sighs and erotic moans were spoken between them as they mated in a cave full of exotic treasures. The tigress never stopped or changed her pace. The pleasure grew with no end in sight until a tipping point was finally reached. With a euphoric grunt, he stiffened before gradually relaxing. Each pulse was accentuated from her grinding waist, taking his breath away. Panting with pleasure coursing through his body, he felt utterly exhausted but equally satisfied. The tigress stopped grinding her hips and blew a satisfied sigh of her own.
"Wow." The human managed to say as his hands ruffled through her soft white furred front down to her strong legs. The beauty atop him watched him for a moment wearing a feline grin. The tigress moved as he stopped touching her. He felt a distinct wetness settle on his leg as she laid down beside him.
"I'll allow a quick rest... so we can continue." She murmured in a pleasant tone.
"Continue?" The human breathed heavily, only to feel her claws emerge from their fingertips, lightly pricking his skin. He realized that the tigress wasn't joking in the slightest. As the light began to fade from outside there was a long night ahead of them.
Light filtered into the cave, lifting the darkness from the entire mountainside. The sounds of birds were merely faint little sounds in the distance. An eye slowly blinked awake. A brief second of confusion quickly passed into calm relaxation. The human's memories of last night were better than any dream he could remember. His back was sore and his legs ached wonderfully. Others areas of his body simply hurt from the long night they spent together. At the moment, everything was peaceful and still, and he could take it all in. The fur pelts beneath him were exquisitely soft and warm in their own right, but the living being pressed against him felt utterly divine. Their arms and legs were tangled together like vines.
The tiger head in front of him was still asleep, eyes closed, softly breathing. He grinned and looked along her naked front, although her hand quickly gained his immediate attention. He felt over the tiger's orange furred, but human like hand. The fur was soft, but there was also padding on her fingertips as well as her palm. Little furrows at her fingertips revealed were her claws were sheathed. Her hands were slightly bulky and distinctly feline, but also undeniably human in function.
'What is she?' He wondered. The unanswered question was more mysterious and complex than the riches stowed away in the cave. Her hand suddenly gave his hand a little squeeze; and then a familiar warm prickly tongue washed over his forehead.
"I see that you are awake, human." Her low voice softly spoke.
"Yes." He shifted only to feel the arm around his back tighten its grip, pulling him back. A distinct heat pressing against his leg made him gulp.
"Relax." The tigress hummed. "We're still resting." She propped herself into an elbow, causing a breast to rest against his face. He looked up and saw that the tigress was grinning at the fact. Without a word the human smiled and began petting her other breast hanging above him. The feminine mass was perfectly soft and enjoyable to touch. The fleshy nub staring at him was smooth and warm as well.
"I want to feel every inch of her your body." He admitted.
"You are my guest." The feline rubbed his back encouragingly, wanting nothing less. The human eagerly nuzzled one breast while massaging the other. He couldn't help himself from indulging in the act. After all, her breasts were very soft, but they were a part of a potentially dangerous tigress. She sat up when his hands began to trail away, and turned her back to him. Looking over her shoulder with a grin, the tiger waited for him. It took the human a moment to sit up through all of his soreness. The deep orange colorations marked by the characteristic stripes were a natural work of art. He touched her from shoulder to tail base generously. The tiger's back fur was sleek and silky, allowing his hands to glide down her pelt like rain. The tail beside them flicked from his persistent gentle touch.
"What do you think of my stripes?" She asked.
"They're beautiful." He murmured as his hands traced up and down her back.
"And the rest of me?" She lifted her arms invitingly.
"Stunning." He said the first word that came to mind. His hands eagerly traced up and down her open sides. The white fur ruffled under his sweeping touch as he ventured to her breasts. She leaned backwards, and purposefully into his front. With a smile his arms enveloped around the naked beauty. Everything felt too serene to be true. His wandering gaze caught sight of his backpack close by, as well as his clothes. He couldn't stay with her forever. The human held onto the tigress, hugging her dearly from behind.
"I must leave." His voice spoke with a sigh. The tiger's pretty round ears fell back for a moment. Her feline gaze dropped to the pelts for a moment. She knew it was true, and held onto his arms for a moment until his embrace slipped away.
"I'll get your belongings." She stood up and gathered the scattered clothes before sitting behind him. The tigress held open his unbuttoned shirt. "When do you suppose you'll return?" She helped guide his arms through the shirt sleeves.
"Every night, I wish." He told her.
"Every night?" She seemed surprised.
"You seem lonely out here, so I don't want you to feel abandoned." The human explained. The tigress appeared pleased to hear that answer. "But you also seem very dangerous." He admitted. The tigress's grin widened at that remark. "So I don't want to leave you alone too much for that reason either."
"In that case," the tigress purred, "I'll eagerly await for your return. You can expect each night to be passionate and loving." She promised. "But don't think that I will remain idle here like a helpless maiden." There was a playful feline warning growl in her voice. "If I feel lonely then I may search for you." Her hands reached forward and began rubbing his shoulders.
"Oh. That's nice." He melted back into her touch, more than eager to press his back into her lush white furred front. The warmth of her furry bosom felt like the rays of golden sun against his back, but far lovelier to feel. The tigress wrapped her arms around his chest, like a coiling python, pulling him into her tender embrace. The prickly warm heat of her tongue teased his neck and ear. For a moment he wanted nothing more than to lay back down with her for the rest of the day, and enjoy more intimate activities without interruption.
"So I can't convince you to stay a little while longer?" The big cat cooed as she rubbed her fluffy cheek against his face.
"Mmm." He thoughtfully hummed and leaned against her. Remaining with her in the cave was much more appealing than hiking through the misty wet mountains and down into the humid lowland jungles and marshes. However, he needed to document the discovery for personal reasons, and possibly warn villagers to stay away from the area. And if the human stayed too long, there was a strong possibility that he may never be able to leave the tiger's cave.
"I'm afraid I must go." He confirmed despite all of the physical affection she unconditionally gave him. The tigress breathed through her nose understandingly, and allowed him to sit up. He buttoned his shirt before rising shakily to his feet. Steadying himself, the human stretched his legs with relief.
"Here you are." She handed him his undergarment and pants. "Although I'm sad to see everything covered up so soon." The tigress half grinned. The human had to focus as he dressed himself. Socks, boots, outer vest, and hat were added next. The straps of his backpack were finally returned to his shoulders last. Walking to the cave's entrance, his muscles strained from the previous night's lovemaking.
"I feel like I hiked a mountain." He admitted much to her amusement.
"You are on a mountain." She chuckled. "But you have enough strength to move a mountain." She chuckled. "If you use your body correctly."
"I can't move you." He pointed out her strength. A warm smile grew along her muzzle.
"I can teach you this, human... Making love isn't about strength. It is about trust and your were able to trust me when you realized that I wouldn't harm you." She was right.
Peeking from the cave entrance, he could see over the small section of grassy ground and down into the jungle lowlands as well as the faces of forested mountains. The human could gauge how far up he had climbed, and the hike down would hopefully be a little easier.
"It's a beautiful view." She leaned against him.
"Breathtaking." He nodded and turned to face her.
"This passage to my home will always be open when you seek it." She told him. "There will be no fog blocking your path when you descend the mountain, or when you climb it again."
"How do you know that?" He looked at the tigress's amber eyes. She smiled without a word and touched his arm.
"And remember my words. If I become lonely, then I will seek you out." The tigress's words sent a little chill through the human's spine. It was the first fear he had felt in the morning.
"I believe you." He understood, and completely believed her veiled threat. "But I will keep my promise." He said. The tigress smiled happily as he grasped her hands. "Goodbye." They shared a kiss before he parted. She leaned against the rocky wall and watched him return to the clear high altitude forest. Her amber eyes were all seeing in her forested mountain, and she was eager to see him again. Just as the tiger had said, there was no fog. The human half stumbled through the foliage of shrubs, low trees, and numerous ferns. His body was sore but his spirit was invigorated from his discover. Through his journey into the foggy mountains, he had found something far more incredible than he could've imagined, and the human couldn't wait to return...
