Nothing was certain, as the feral horses pulling the carriage whined and galloped faster than they were used to, with the reigns being so firmly slapped against them by the relatively inexperienced Bernard as their driver. The escape from Kevanim had gone off without a hitch, given Elykan was able to calmly dispatch any would be obstacles with a mere order, only a few guards had given chase, but they were lost a few miles back.
Wuf was relieved, and calm, in the embrace of the disgraced General, her eyes closed, as she attempted to imagine herself in a calmer situation, one that was perhaps less exciting, or perhaps a memory of a lustful romp with her owner, she reminisced about anything that could bring her comfort in this time of undying tension.
"Are you well, my pet?" Elykan asked, looking down, matching her gaze as her eyes opened. "As well as I can be, sir." She replied, her mind still full of worry and regret.
Bernard looked around, the wind blowing through his hair as he pulled the reigns, bringing the slowing horses to a relaxing pace, as he looked back to the window between the driver's seat and the interior of the carriage "General, we've lost any tails that I can see..." Elykan softly trailed his hand over Wuf's shoulder and torso, calming her further as he replied. "How much farther to Ventross?" Bernard squinted as he looked forward to the long, winding road ahead of them, unfamiliar with the area, he honestly answered "Somewhere between one and one hundred miles, sir."
Elykan chuckled as he looked back, holding his breath, as he beckoned to his friend with legitimacy, not wanting his ability to interfere with his honest wish. "Just, Elykan now, Bernard, no need for formalities any further..."
The Bear matched his gaze, feeling the reality of the situation wash over him, Samuel was dead, they were fugitives of the Crown of Kevanim, and all of this had happened so suddenly, the only guarantee the bear had was the fact he was in this with Elykan, and his pet, and his loyalty was always more to his friendship of Elykan than to the crown anyway, damn them all.
"Understood, Elykan..." He said, a comforting smile growing over Elykan's face, knowing that his reaction was genuine.
Wuf, however, found herself more and more nervous as each mile traveled brought even more uncertainty, Elykan noticing and smiling at her firmly, something had to give, her tension was an obvious, growing feeling that was hardly ignorable, the wolf smiled and looked down to his pet. "I have an idea as to what can make this situation less awful..." Wuf perked her head up, in such a dark moment, her excitement overcame her worry as she smiled. "What is that...?"
Elykan patted her head and leaned forward, gazing from the window of the carriage, getting a general idea of their location, and then, called to Bernard through the window. "Take the next left through this trail...We are taking a detour."
Wuf was confused as to what the wolf had planned, but if for better or for worse, one thing she knew not to trouble herself with, was trying to figure out Elykan's motives or desires, if he wanted them known, they would be known. Deciding to enjoy the surprise, she simply laid her head back, and closed her eyes, trying again to relax.
Bernard had been many things in his life, apprentice blacksmith, courier, baker, and now the sergeant under a disgraced general, but he was also quite intuitive, by the look and tone of Elykan's voice, he knew exactly where they were going, his skill had slowly been growing in guiding the four horses that drove the regal carriage they had stolen, and the horses similarly were getting used to his driving style over that of the missing Gentry's. As the Bear turned a corner and cracked the reigns once more, the carriage passed a crudely painted white sign that read 'two hour for Yondershire'.
Elykan saw the sign as well through the window of the carriage, knowing that it wasn't too far out of the way for the escaping trio to stop by, and grab whatever his pet had previously left behind at the farm he had met her at that fateful day weeks ago.
Wuf had successfully fallen asleep, her dreams were vivid as she slumbered, fueled by the anxiety and fear of the past and future alike, it was almost impossible to believe she was just a few months ago, a simple and lowly peasant chicken farmer, now on the run with a former General and his accomplice. Would she be hanged? Would they escape to the safety of Ventross? would Ventross even accept them or be considered the enemy? These terrors manifested in the form of a nightmare, where a giant, unknown enemy presence was chasing her down a corridor, as the dark, evil tendril of the presence grasped her ankle, she awoke with a start.
"Fuck!" Elykan said with a startle to the Folf's sudden jump, as he rubbed his brow calming himself.
"I'm sorry master. I just, sigh..." Wuf said, attempting to explain her terror as she rubbed her own temples with her thumbs.
Elykan gazed at the clearly stressed folf, sighing intentionally, and looking back to the driver's window, firmly saying. "Bernard, for the sake of respect, continue to our destination." As he shut the wooden window cover, Bernard simply chuckling and attending to the reigns, thinking to himself. "Such a creature of habit."
Elykan, now with the semi-privacy of he and his pet in the closed, moving carriage, leaned back in the cushioned seat, smiling across to his pet, and letting out a deep, intentional breath, as he spoke. "Relax, my pet."
His power hit her differently than it had in times before, more calming, more intensely, perhaps it was amplified by the feelings of stress and fear that she had felt before, which slowly melted into obscurity as she felt a growing feeling of blissful relaxation washing over her.
"Yes...Sir..." She said, her eyes returning to an entranced feeling, this calm was not hers, but she welcomed it, not that she had a choice.
Elykan grinned, his plain tunic being pulled off his shoulders, as he leaned forward, pushing his pet into the cushions of the carriage's seat, not bothering to waste time asking his property to lift her legs, simply pulling her thick thighs up to his hips, firmly tugging at her leggings, slipping them down just enough to expose her, but not enough to fully undress.
He hadn't planned on this session, nor had she, but while she felt her breasts being softly caressed and groped by her master, Wuf smiled as she offered even less resistance to the calming, hypnotic control of the Blood-render.
Elykan as well was taking solace in this moment, his hands firmly filling with the folf's supple breasts, squeezing them, uttering soft, little moans from her agape mouth, which he leaned forward and kissed firmly.
The bumping of the carriage seemed to work in their advantage as the pair were being pushed closer together, Elykan's member had already unsheathed when he first leaned forward, the fabric of his pants uncomfortable as he reached a hand from the folf's chest down to his belt, freeing it from it's confines, and allowing it's length to firmly lay against his pet's dampening entrance.
Another sharp bump from the carriage, as the wheels hit a hole in the trail, sent Elykan firmly into her, his shaft burying to the hilt in one, unintentional thrust, causing the two of them to let out a warm, united moan, Wuf reaching forward to grip onto him for both support and pleasure, her legs wrapping around his hips, as the wolf growled and pulled back, thrusting forward again, finding a haphazard motion as he began to rut into her.
The feeling was different, off, not in a negative fashion however, the usual dominance exhibited by the Blood-render was missing, absent, as he drove his pulsating member deeper into her, his pleasure growing and his own maw agape. Replacing the air of dominance was a feeling of genuine care, passion, it was simply put, loving.
Wuf offered no resistance as she whimpered in deep, alluring squeaks of pleasure, music to Elykan's ears as he rhythmically pushed his hips forward and back in unison to the folf's moans, her folds quivering, leaking, hot flashes of euphoria flooding over her, he had not been so kind, so firm, so loving in his thrusts previously, and it was bringing her closer to the edge than ever before. She softly bit down on his shoulder, as her body seized, her orgasm premature, but needed, as she felt herself wetly splatter Elykan's shaft with her sticky appreciation.
Elykan also growling as he felt the Folf's teeth biting into his shoulder, his arms wrapping around her torso in an adoring hold, his teeth baring, his boot slamming against the carpeted floor of the carriage as he stifled a moan, his shaft erupting deeply, and intentionally into the folf's womb, his fertile seed flooding her, traces dripping out onto the fabric of the seat.
Wuf took a few deep breaths, thanking the world that she had, at least to this point, been relatively infertile, a cub would be quite the unwelcoming experience with everything the pair had already had to worry about, as she smiled and held tightly onto her master, her breath calming.
Elykan softly looked up, brushing his hand over the Folf's bangs, smiling with a chuckle as he said. "I can see your mood has elevated, my pet." Wuf nodding, weakly, in reply.
"If you two lovebirds have finished your coitus, we're nearing Yondershire." Bernard said, in a sarcastic tone, as he didn't dare lift the driver's window cover.
Wuf locked eyes with her master, her smile wide and genuine, as she reluctantly pulled back from the embrace, Elykan parting from her sex as his shaft dripped the last of his orgasm, he reached over and grabbed the handkerchief that had seen a few cleanings of this variety now, wiping his member and his pet's folds clean, as he collapsed back into his seat, across from her, putting his sheathing shaft away and fixing
his belt.
The horses pulled the carriage through the familiar dirt path that had cut through Yondershire, a familiar sight to Wuf, as she looked out the window. Bernard being smart, as he guided the horses around the back of a grain silo across from Wuf's chicken farm.
Arriving at the farm was a rush of nostalgic security for Wuf, as she stood up and exited the carriage, Elykan following behind her, and Bernard hopping down, the two men strapping their swords firmly to their waists as Elykan nudged the folf's arm.
Turning to face him, Elykan held out her dagger, she hadn't even noticed he had retrieved it from the back of their fallen enemy, as he smiled, Childishly saying "I couldn't allow my guard dog to not have a bite." The folf chuckled as she took the dagger, tucking it into the leather belt of her leggings and smiling. "Half dog, you brute." playfully batting his chest.
The trio's juvenile joke trading was cut short, as the sound of glass shattering was audible, coming from the direction of the chicken farm, they wasted no time and ran toward the sound.
"She is an accomplice to a traitor of the Crown, reveal her at once!" The first of three, armed soldiers said, all of them clad in battle dress, full face covering helmets and insignia of Kevanim etched into their chest plates.
Nimbly rolling directly over the back of one of the soldiers, a narrow, pointed imported dagger in each hand, Sebastian simply let out a chuckle as the older bloodhound found himself at the door of the hut, backing out of it, his blades at the ready as he cracked his neck. "Even if I knew, it would be a joke to tell, speaking of Jokes, the Crown looks like a cannery's fish!"
The soldiers were all armed with broadswords, walking to join Sebastian in the street, all three of them in battle stance, the bloodhound clearly was frightened, but his humor carried him into bravado as he twirled his blades, and motioned. "Come on then."
The soldiers would of charged, if not for the trio of Elykan, Bernard, and Wuf, arriving and crossing the street toward the battling four.
"You've got a worse sense of humor than I do arriving at this moment." Sebastian said, looking to Wuf first, then displeasure at her company. "Did you seriously bring more with you, I've already a party, and they've not been invited." He said, as Elykan and Bernard drew their swords.
"No, you old coot, we've brought her here." Bernard said, his glare darting back and forth between the attacking soldiers and Sebastian.
"Old coot? Why do you kiss your mother with such a rude mouth?" Sebastian teased back, surveying the ground.
The First Soldier stepped forward, firmly slapping his free hand off his metal chest plate to attract attention to him. "By order of the Crown of Kevanim, Surrender yourselves for arrest!"
Elykan stepped forward with a confident stride, and firmly breathed out toward the attackers, as he said. "I am Elykan, the Blood-render, and I order you, drop your weapo-" He was unable to finish, as the Soldier readied his weapon, and interrupted. "We know who you are, traitor, we only speak for formality, you'll not leave this town alive."
Effect-less, his power was effect-less, as Elykan firmly and angrily glared to his former comrades turned enemy, their meshed facial shields hiding their identities as much as protecting their minds from his controlling breath, as he sighed and lifted his sword to the ready.
Somehow Samuel must of found a way to counteract his pheremonal curse, his spoken words and breath of control fell flat against the attackers, he was powerless in his Blood-rending ability, but he felt a surge of excitement fly up his spine and out the tips of his fingers, as he gripped ahold of his blade.
"Just like old times..." Bernard said, walking to join his side, his blade at the ready.
"Some kind of family reunion." Sebastian joked.
"I will defend you master..." Wuf joined in, raising her dagger.
"Very well then..." Elykan started, a confident grin washing over his face. "HAVE AT YOU."
The three soldiers charged, their blades swinging downward to various blocks. The first Soldier being kicked in the chest plate by Elykan, pushing him to their own dual, the Wolf's sword swinging in retaliation, catching the pauldron of the attacker, who groaned out and swung back, their swords clashing and sparking. Nearby, Sebastian nimbly dodged and jumped out of the swings of the second Soldier's sword, back flipping and cartwheeling around his opponent, occasionally stopping to quickly, and accurately stab his daggers toward the soft spots of the Soldier's armor, drawing blood with more than one stab, his cackle as un nerving as his attack. Bernard roared as only a bear could, brutally swinging his sword downward onto the defending third Soldier, who held his blade up for dear life, the loud metallic cracking of his sword's slowly breaking structure making the soldier scream, knowing he would not be able to defend for long, he threw his arms up in surrender.
The battle raged on, the remaining two soldiers fighting firmly against the attacking retired Jester and disgraced General, as the blowing of a horn slowed the intensity of the battle, a few more swings and blocks being delivered, as all of them, keeping their guard up against one another, looked toward where the horn was blown. An old fur was hobbling toward them, an old brass horn in their hand, a black cloak over their form, as the third soldier scooted back on the dirt and got to their feet in the moment of distraction.
"Could you all please stop fighting here, it is bothering the townsfolk." The cloaked fur said firmly, their voice old and crackling.
Brazenly, the first Soldier kicked Sebastian to the dirt, his daggers falling, the distraction stopping him from being able to dodge, as he cockily stated. "I'll kill you soon, don't move." Pointing an armored finger at the bloodhound, as he turned and approached the figure.
"Who do you think you are, you old Crone, we are on business from the crown of Kevanim." The soldier said walking toward her, his blade raising. "Be gone or be dead."
The figure didn't move, continuing to hobble toward them. "That's not very kind of you." They said, their voice still calm and crackled. The Soldier arrogantly raised his blade, confident dispatching this old fur would be a mere distraction as he did. "You were warned, bitch."
As he swung his blade downward, it fell from his hand, as he fell to his knees, his scream echoed from the mountains, as the cloaked figure had raised a gloved hand, the armor falling from the body of the Soldier as smoke poured from the helmet. The other soldiers watching in terror as their commander ignited, the smoke pluming upward filled with death screams of the burning person inside, before falling to the ground, only the metal of his armor remaining as the flame that had seemingly manifested from nothing consumed him to the bone. "You should mind your manners..."
The other two soldiers sheathed their swords, too panicked to even acknowledge the group they were previously fighting, and ran with terror to their nearby horses, mounting, and cracking their reigns, they were gone within seconds.
Bernard walked to Sebastian, reaching his paw down to the bloodhound and smiling. "Get up, jester, we've a birthday party to attend." He said, in gallows humor, the bloodhound chuckled as he took his hand, being helped to his feet. "I'm retired, thank you for the offer...I've not gotten your name." "Bernard, but, that can wait..." The bear said, turning to Elykan and Wuf who were dusting themselves off from the battle.
Wuf was thankful to have dodged most of the fighting, as Elykan was only lightly sliced in two spots, scars to add to his collection, as they all gathered together to face the smoldering remains of what was the Soldier, and the black cloaked figure that had destroyed him.
"Thank you, we may have met our end..." Elykan said, as he stepped forward in front of the other three. "You've saved us."
The figure moved upward, her hunch vanishing as she removed her hood, letting her long black hair drape down over her horned bangs, as she kindly smiled at Elykan. "It's not a worry, I'm not one to ignore my investments..."
Marina, the Sorceress who had given the curse to Elykan in the first place, stood in front of them, walking confidently toward them.
Elykan was shocked, he had not seen her in over a decade, where did she go, how did she know, more importantly, why now...?
"Marina, you...You have returned?" Elykan said, sheathing his blade, feeling himself grappling with both anger and relief.
"You assume I ever departed...Mm...Who's the pretty girl?" Marina seductively said, smiling and looking over Wuf, with a wide grin.
"I'm, uh, Wuf...Elykan's pet..." She replied, a blush forming at the compliment.
"Oh I see, you truly have continued my traditions...well done my Blood-render." Marina said, coyly running her hand down Elykan's right cheek. "Shall we make our way inside?" She said, motioning toward Wuf's hut.
The group walked in and shut the door, the smell of the burning soldier finally leaving their nostrils as they took seats and leaned around the room, Sebastian and Bernard leaning near one another, talking to each other, seeming to become friends, as Elykan, Wuf, and Marina gathered around the old dinner table, catching up and introducing, explaining their status as fugitives, and further talking.
"It makes more sense than I care to admit..." Elykan said. "The Crown's corruption has never been more apparent."
Marina scoffed and made a sarcastic gesture with her rune ring clad fingers, smirking. "I never would have guessed. And to think you assisted them.
Elykan felt a pang of shame and guilt, as he nodded and firmly replied. "We knew no better...I am so sorry for the warriors that fell in those weeks."
Marina simply smiled, and placed one hand on Wuf's shoulder,
and another upon his. "I knew you would see the light of truth, I'd of not made you mine under any other way."
Wuf was confused, but enlightened, she had so many questions but the few answers she had were enough, she knew how the Blood-render had obtained his ability, and she knew who had done it, she knew why, and felt no less loving toward him, this moment had shown more honesty into who Elykan was, their relationship started as a regal wanting new property, but had absolutely blossomed into so much more, she tugged at her collar still firmly wrapped around her neck with pride and love, rather than fear and submission.
"As for you, my half breed girl...You are lucky I respect the boundaries of ownership, or I would be between those legs of yours providing you a bliss you've never felt..." Marina coyly rolled off her lips, smiling to Wuf as she spoke.
"Are you kidding me...?" Wuf replied, a chuckle leaving her mouth, not previously imagining relations with another female. "I assure you, she is serious." Elykan interjected.
The fraternizing continued for at least an hour, and when no backup had arrived, the group was re-assured that the soldiers had fled out of fear, not for reinforcements, as Sebastian and Wuf packed what remained of the chicken farm's belongings. Marina was outside, a large glowing, dark red circle was formed in the dirt of the street outside, her hands raised in an incantation, mumbling dark words as she formed it. "Are we ready." Elykan asked as the dirt and leaves around the circle seemed to float.
The group had made a simple, yet gambling plan, they would, with Marina's assistance, use her ability to transport themselves to the border of Ventross, rather than, as Marina so calmly said, "Parade yourselves to their gates with the carriage covered in their enemy's markings, wrapped like a warmonger's present."
"We are all packed up thanks to this big guy's help." Sebastian said, his smile to Bernard sending a queasy smirk from Elykan. "You absolutely helpless flirt." the Wolf said, with a laugh.
Marina cringed, her body clearly draining energy as she turned to them. "Can we make haste, I am not able to manifest this forever."
Sebastian, Wuf, Elykan, and Bernard stepped cautiously into the circle, after placing their respective belongings into it, as Marina began to chant even louder.
Pain, ungodly pain, an agony none of them had ever felt before, as the four screamed out in depraved horror, their skin was being peeled from their bones their minds went blank, and then, darkness.
"Do you want a new feckin' fishin rod OR NOT?!" Asked an Opossum, slamming his fist down on the table angrily, his opponent, a Weasel, sitting across from him, cards in hand looked at his hand, placing the cards face down on the table and shrugged. "Not iffin' it's gon' cost me life savings ya filthy cunt."
The pair's card game was cut short by a thunderous explosion behind them, sending them flying over the table and into hay bales behind where they had been playing.
"Whadda fuck..." The Opossum said, climbing to his feet, squinting toward where the explosion had occurred.
In the middle of scorched Earth, lay Elykan, Wuf, Sebastian and Bernard, coughing and writhing in pain, their belongings strewn around them, as Marina walked calmly from the smoldering ground toward the pair of them. "Do either of you pretty little rodents know where the town apothecary may be?"
Wuf was the first to awaken, her eyes opening as she slowly, painfully sat up in her bed, noticing where she was.
she was inside of a wooden and stone, tavern like building, filled with various chairs, beds, and shelves of vials and potions, an old rat male was having a kind conversation with Marina nearby, as she blinked, noticing that three of the other beds contained the others of her group.
"Ah, beautiful, you're awake...I probably should of mentioned the pain of that spell, hmm?" Marina coyly said, walking toward Wuf, as she rubbed her head.
"That would of been nice...where are we...?" Wuf asked.
As she asked, Marina kindly smiled and turned to the rat. "Do you think they are able?" The Rat nodded and turned to his alchemy table.
Marina took a deep breath and waved her hands as seemingly instantly, the other three awoke, also agonized and gathering their surroundings. Marina had given them ample time to sit up in their beds, gain their footing after leaving them, and to sit around a table at the far end of the infirmary, before departing to get 'an essential ingredient' as she called it.
"If my mind serves me well, that was the second worst pain I have ever felt." Sebastian said, a serious tone to his voice.
"What was the first, if I may inquire?" Elykan asked, leaning forward.
"My ex lover." Sebastian joked. "He was absolutely worse than that."
Bernard's ears perked up as he smiled coyly to the older bloodhound, his elbows resting on the table. "He?"
The two shared a firm, amorous glance as Wuf chuckled, opening her mouth to make a joke, as the doors to the infirmary opened, and Marina stepped inside, carrying a serving platter with bread and pints of ale with two guards at her side, they both carried the same.
"Oh, essential ingredients indeed." Elykan said, smiling.
"You're going to need a smile after this conversation." Marina said, placing the platters down the guards doing the same.
Elykan felt that the air had filled with uncertainty, which was only amplified when he looked to the guards, their coat of arms on their chest was not familiar to him, as he blinked, and looked to Marina with light anger. "Where did you take us."
Marina calmly sat down and took a sip from one of the pints, as the group looked to her with a nervous glare. "I could not take us to Ventross, and you'd be wise to be thankful I didn't." She said with a swallow of the ale.
"And why is that...?" Sebastian spoke up, as he listened.
"There is no Ventross...It's just Kevanim now...the siege never happened, they surrendered immediately..." Marina spoke, the truth of her words washing over them all.
"Then...where are we?" Wuf asked, nervous, and gripping onto Elykan's arm.
"My Queendom...Welcome to Celsia."
The guards bowed, and left as everyone tried to grapple with the revelation of where they had wound up. But the mystery solved itself, they were far from Kevanim's grasp, far from their country even, according to Marina, they had went to a 'new world' on the other end of the planet, whatever that was. The point being, Celsia was a micro queendom, under the sorceress' control.
"It was closer to you before, but the air heads of Kevanim fought my scout tribes off before we could even settle, so I decided to move a bit, farther." Marina coyly said, sitting down in her throne.
Elykan and Wuf stood near Marina's throne with a relieving, calm mood in the air, as she spoke. "So, I assume the two of you would like to apply for citizenship?"
Elykan took a knee, almost immediately, his submission to Marina made Wuf chuckle to herself, as she joined him, taking a knee as well, Marina motioning her hand.
"Well, aren't the two of you formal...granted...Alik Vi, show them to their quarters..."
A tiger, older than the both of them stepped forward, a scar over his left eye, grinning as Elykan stood up, matching his stare, and recognizing him instantly. "My, how the tables have turned..."
The tiger smiled, and placed his fist over his chest. "No anger, only friend now." he said, as he walked forward.
He led the pair of them down a hall, past several wooden doors, Wuf couldn't help but speed up her walk with a loud giggle as she heard the familiar moans of Sebastian and Bernard from behind one of the doors, clearly becoming far more than friends.
Alik Vi opened a door, and motioned his hand, as Elykan and Wuf walked inside, he closed it behind them.
Alone, and secure, instinct took over, as Wuf pushed her lips against Elykan's lips, pushing him down onto the surprisingly soft bed, even more cushioned than their previous bed in Kevanim, as she was stripping him as if it had been years.
The pair took advantage of their situation and in a missionary position, Elykan had gripped ahold of her shoulders and leaned in, smiling above her head, as his shaft buried into her yet again, his breath being held.
This time, there would be no control, no convincing, just the pure, raw, emotion the two of them felt more than ever.
Tonight, they would make love.
Wuf gently held her hands over the scarred shoulders of her owner, as he pressed deeply into her, his hips finding a rocking motion, her body melding into his as they became one, she nearly teared up from the deep, intense pleasure she was experiencing.
Elykan too rocked himself, his shaft pulsing with fiery, eager warmth inside of her depths, as he locked eyes with her, focusing on her pleasure over her body, her eyes over her breasts, her pure angelic gaze causing him to feel unlike he had ever before, he was undoubtedly in love with her, and during the deep, passionate thrusts he had been delivering, his hand gripped ahold of the Collar, with a firm tug, had removed it, and held it, breathlessly he proclaimed. "This...is for...other times...my love..."
Hearing him call her that, Wuf moaned out with tearful joy, gripping ahold of Elykan tightly, tightening on him, her damp folds quivered as she softly replied. "I love you too!"
They shared a climax, equal, and intense, the juices mixing with their emotional bond, as they collapsed next to each other, falling into the first, warm, calm, and secure slumber they had in weeks.
The future was unknown, a new country, a new life.
Would they ever return to Kevanim, would battle be a part of their life, would they be able to continue on...none of these questions mattered to the couple laying in warm, loving embrace.
The only thing that mattered was their love, their commitment. The former chicken farmer and Blood-render of Kevanim
had evolved into so much more.
As the days went on, Bernard and Sebastian had become mates, the happiness something that Wuf had never seen on the bloodhound's face before, the bear equally happy, his happiness also foreign to Elykan. Wuf and Elykan still answered the world as master and slave, but in the embrace of their bed, were clearly much more, and even Marina had risen to a level of open affection with Alik Vi, unsurprisingly to everyone who had seen them.
The future can wait.
The Queendom of Celsia was at peace, not an arrow's flight or a sword's draw...
