Chpt. 1 : The First Day (And night)

It had been three days since my best friend Kori left me. It was on his birthday October 5, that he just up and disappeared. He sent me a text message that said he would be back in time for my birthday on October 8th and today was the day.

I woke up early this morning because I was excited. Today is October 8th I am finally 18 (Yay). Not only that my best friend is coming home today ,and since my birthday happened upon a Saturday no school. I hopped out of bed and fell flat on my face (stupid hard wood floors) the water I left on my nightstand had fallen off over night. I got up and tried not to look embarrassed because my window was up and the girl that lived next to me was taking out the trash .She was giggling at my unfortunate spill, who takes out the trash at 8 a.m. anyway (Bitch).I flipped her off and closed my window and curtains.

I got up and went to the bathroom to get ready for my day with Kori. He said he was going to take me to the Herbal Gardens today he knows how much I've always loved plants. I quickly stroll over to the bathroom, I'm lucky enough to have my own bathroom in my room. As I walk by the full length mirror in my room I stop and gaze at the black figure looking at me. I look at my reflection, same as always the same black bat that's always there. 5'11 ,emerald eyes, my body was lean but very well toned from the sword training I had been doing for the past 8 years, 16ft from wing tip to wing tip, long black hair that goes down past my hands (Or claws whatever) I hadn't had a chance to put my hair into its signature pony tail yet, my emerald claws and talons ,and my tail, most furrys find it odd because unlike most bats my tail is 4 ft long and three inches thick at the base and slinders (I made that word up) until you get to the end and every other three inches there are emerald rings.

I ended my gaze and continue my stroll to the bathroom. I turn the hot water on to take a shower. While I'm waiting for the water to heat I look down and realize I have morning wood (Holy Crap is that why that girl was giggling so hard). I pull my pj's off and look at the nine inch cock pulsing in front of me.

" I don't have time to jerk off this morning I have to get ready". But it doesn't do any good to talk to him so I just ignore it and take a quick shower. By the time I get out of the shower and start to get dressed my morning wood is no more.

I search through the closet for the clothes I just purchased. I pull out a white

t-shirt with Ichigo's battle pass on it in emerald green (Of course).I also pull out some blue jeans with emerald green paint splattered over them. I put on my socks and black converse , grab my Blackberry, clip on the chain to my wallet, put my hair up into my signature pony tail (I always leave two long strings of hair in my face), and head down stairs. As I head down stairs I can already smell the breakfast my parents always cooks for me on my birthday . Four strawberry vanilla pancakes with perfectly scrambled eggs and two extra thick pieces of apple wood smoked bacon (Its so beautiful). I haven eaten since yesterday afternoon just so I could finish this breakfast and it was well worth it.

As I descend the last step I'm attacked by my dad Wayne. "Happy Birthday Gurin " he practically screams at me as he proceeds to squeeze the life out of me. Me and my dad are really close and almost look identical except for a few details ,all his features are blue in the places were mine are emerald and he is about 6ft even. He is extremely goofy (Insert cheesy line here) but I love him anyway.

"Let the man go your going to kill him Wayne". At least that's what I think I heard since my dad is crushing my ears. Its the soft voice of my mom Lydia.

"Gosh Wayne he just turned 18 and now your trying I kill him I swear I wouldn't have married you if you were going to kill my son" she snickered and winked at us. He finally put me down so I could give my mom a hug. Compared to me and my dad she was on the short side she was only 5'6. She was in very good shape for her age which I can't mention (She would kill me),and she was yellow in the areas where my dad was blue (I think that's why I'm green).

We sat down at the table to enjoy our breakfast together (I think I enjoy mine more than anyone else). "Slow down son your going to kill yourself" they say in unison. My mom and dad look at each other and start to giggle.

I just shake my head at the sight of my dad giggling. They both stop, look at me , and smile. "Well Wayne are you going to give it to him" my mom ask as she raises her eyebrow. "Fifteen more seconds Lydia" my dad says as he freezes in place. Then he takes out a neatly wrapped package (after the odd fifteen seconds of silence) and for some reason discreetly slides it across the table. I pick it up and start to unwrap it. It's a box I open the box and in it is another box so I open that one and another box is in that one (What the hell). I can see them giggling out of the corner of my eye. So I open up that box and in it is something small and very well folded. I pick it up and I start to unfold it (Awesome).I haven't finished unfolding it yet but I can see its a one hundred dollar bill. I am immediately thrill and start to scream thank you. They both look at each other and simultaneously says "Keep Going". So I continue with a slightly confused look on my face as I continue unfolding I count one two three four five six seven eight (Freaking Awesome). I am completely dumfounded eight hundred dollars I stand up and scream thanks and give both of them hugs. "Best present ever" I yell as I take my seat and finish my breakfast.

As I am munching on my last piece of bacon the door bell rings.(I could bet money on who it was) I jump out of my seat and run for the front door with bacon still hanging out of my mouth. I open the door and as sure as the sky is blue there's my best friend Kori. He was the same tiger as always 6'5, gorgeous ice blue eyes, very well muscled because of the karate and kungfu lessons he give's during the week, white fur with ice blue stripes to match his eyes , his long wavy white hair that shines ice blue when struck by the sunlight ,and those unusual white claws genetically rare for his species. He was wearing a pair of plain jeans and a skin tight ice blue shirt (Of course) to show off his physique. As I stared at him in the doorway he snatched the beacon hanging out of my mouth. That snapped me out of my trance. "Kori give me back my beacon I was eating that". I reach my hands up as far as I can but it was no use and I couldn't fly in the house either. He glared at me and yelled "Never this beacon is mine now and Happy Birthday Gurin". After that was said I watched my beacon fall helplessly in to his wide open mouth (The horror my poor beacon)."Anyway are you ready to go Gurin" he asks as he licks his lips for the remaining taste of beacon." I guess so since you murdered my last piece of beacon" I put on a fake sad face to match my tone. He just looks at me and laughs." Hello Wayne, hello Lydia I'm taking him off you hands for a while" he yelled towards the kitchen. They yelled back in unison "Well see you guys later have fun at the Herbal Gardens". "They have been doing that all morning" I told Kori. He just giggles as we walk out side.

Now that I could finally see past him I looked out side to see a black Mini Coop with emerald leaves painted all over it (It was freaking sweet).

"Whoa Kori did you get another new car" I asked amazed at the details in the leaves in the paint job." Well not this time Gurin ,as much as I would love to add this one to my collection this one is yours". I turned around and looked at him for a solid five minutes "What did you say Kori" I asked in disbelief. "I said this one is yours" he repeated rather loudly. I nearly jumped 4ft off the ground and gave him the same death hug my dad gave me earlier even though my arms didn't fit around his broad chest. "Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you" I shouted almost crying." Don't go tearing up on me dude" he said grinning at me." I'm glad you like it can we go now" he asked wanting to get this day on the road." Hell Yeah " I said as he tossed me the keys with the keychain that said bad black bat on the front and we both jumped in the car. The interior was actual emerald leather with an emerald wood grain dash and shift to match it. He had purchased some awesome cd's for it to .I looked in the cd changer and found all my favorite artist Paramore, Linkin Park, Green Day, Owl City, and even the cd for the Japanese band I love ,Vocaloids (I don't have the slightest idea where he got that one from)."Are we going to leave your house or are you going to gawk at your new car all day" he asked. "Oh yeah we were suppose to be going some where weren't we" I joked with him. He proceeded to give me the angry eye." Okay okay we'll go now" I said laughing.(Shit) I Must have had the look on my face to match that thought because he pegged my exact thought. "You don't know how to get to the Herbal Gardens do you" he said in a fake disappointed tone. " Well my good friend that would be a no" I fake laughed. "Of course you don't lets just switch seats so we can go" he said in a tone that sounded a little too happy. But we switched none the less and we were off to the Herbal Gardens.

While we were on our way I started to interrogate him." So is this why you had to leave for three days, to get my birthday present" I asked to see if he would tell me the truth. " Well duh why else would I leave you for that long" he said in a way that made me want to punch him in the face . He had just told me a lie right to my face. Whether he knew it or not I knew exactly when he was lying to me. He always scratches the tip of his left ear when he lies

(And he was scratching up a storm). "Oh , as long as you are telling me the truth ,I guess I'm okay with that excuse" I said trying not to look too pissed off.

After that he started to tell me the in's and out's of the car.

He was trying to keep me off the subject of where he had been for those few days (And it was working). When I looked in his eyes all I heard was motor..............V7........................fuel injector. I was lost in those ice blue eyes and he didn't have a clue (Or so I thought)." Were Here!!!" was all I hear to snap me out of my daze. " It's about time you know what long rides and car talk does to me" I said shaking my hear trying to be inconspicuous about the past few minutes. "Apparently I make you stare at me with your mouth open".(Shit) He had caught me staring. If my fur wasn't black all he would have seen would be red because I was blushing really hard. We got out of the car and walked towards the herbal garden. This was my first time going. He could tell I was excited because after we left the car a huge grin appeared on my face and it hadn't left and wouldn't be leaving for along while.

As we stepped through the door we were greeted by a neon yellow dragon. He was very well built and had the cutest smile on his face. " Hello I'm Milo I will be your tour guide thought the Gardens today" he said glancing and smiling that cute smile at me while totally ignoring the presents of Kori. "If its all the same to you 'Milo' I think we'll be okay without you, Gurin here has been studying plants since the 2nd grade so I'm sure we can manage without you" Kori said in a rather annoyed tone. " Well alright then I'll see you two later then , goodbye Gurin" he said waving and flashing me that same smile again. " I'll see you later Milo" I said slightly blushing under my fur. I turned and looked to see Kori as mad as ever. "Who the hell does he think you are hitting on you like that, I have half a mind to turn around and chop him in half. I couldn't help but giggle at the sight of Kori getting jealous over me. Neither one of us had ever said we were gay but I think we had a mutual understanding that both of us were at least bi-sexual. And seeing him get jealous like that was making me question the bi-sexual part. All I could do was look up at him with a silly grin on my face. "You were jealous weren't you" I asked with a smug grin of my face. "No I wasn't I just upset me to see him stare at you like a piece of meat, and didn't you see that evil grin of his.(He had scratched the tip of his left ear through that whole sentence) "Is that so because I think you were jealous" I said keeping the same grin on my face. " Oh look they have a poisonous plant exhibit in this weekend" he said effectively distracting me form the conversation we were having ,he knew I was a sucker for rare poisonous plants.

"Oh my gosh they have the cactus that I have been wanting to see since I hear about it in the 2nd grade, but lets go see the other plants before we go see the poisonous ones I think they have a carnivorous section" I said remembering that we were in the place I had always wanted to be in. He looked at me and raised he eyebrows " Did you say carnivorous plants as in meat eating plants" He asked me rather perplexed on the subject of plants eating insects. "Yep I did, you should know about this Kori we took botany together " I said looking into his big ice blue eyes with a disappointed look on my face." No my friend you took botany I took a pillow to go sleep in that class, remember" he asked looking back into my eyes with a grin on his face. All I could do was laugh at him (He always knows how to make me laugh) " Alright how about we just go see them then" I suggested. " Okay lead the way my friend" he said as he slid to the side to make way for me.

I lead him to the carnivores plants. There was a machine with little balls inside it beside the plants. The balls had bugs of many different species contained inside them. They only cost twenty-five cents so I purchased me and Kori four each. I gave him his four balls and he looked at me with this funny grin on his face. "So you want me to feed these bugs to these plants" he asked as he looked at the pathetic looking bugs in the balls. "Well that was the original plan unless you have a soft spot for incest's" I said and looked at him for a little while. " No that's not it its just ,I can't find the mouth on this one" he said pointing at a purple vine with green leaves on it that went directly to the ceiling. I grabbed his hand and guided it to one of the leaves on the vine " Just put the bug on the leaf Kori I'll do it with you" I told him with a warm smile on my face. We sat the bug on the leaf together and, after we sat the bug on the leaf it started to curl up like a hand closing around something important. I could see the amazement in Kori's face (He looked so cute). After the leaf closed around the bug it quickly opened up again showing the empty leaf as it begun to turn orange. We both continued our stare as the now orange leaf bloomed in to a beautiful flower. " Do all the leaves do that after you feed then" he asked me still amazed from what he just saw. "No they don't it happens every once in a while and we were lucky to see it it's actually a really rare occurrence" I said as I blushed a little.

"Well I'm glad I got to see it with you" he added in a soft tone (I blushed even more) The rest of the day went by perfectly ,we visited the tropical plant section, looked at the desert plants, and of course we had to feed the venis fly traps and the pitcher plants. It was almost the end of the day so we were headed to the poisonous plant section.

(Kori started to look at me funny) " Man these plants colors are hurting my eyes". " Its to warn the incest's not to eat then" I said matter o' factly. "Well lets go find that cactus you wanted to see so badly" he said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me along. I had to be the happiest bat on earth right now because I was in heaven I felt like a kid being pulled around a candy store by my favorite person. When we stopped and he let go of my hand I couldn't help but let out a disappointed sigh. "I think we're here " he said loudly. I looked around to find the rare cactus I had wanted to see just about my whole life right there in front of my face. The plant itself was neon red and the thorns were clear ,but the poison inside was a bright blue . It had to be at least 10 ft tall (It was awesome). I turned around and looked at Kori with a surprised face " How did you know which plant it was". "Well whether you believe me or not I looked for the one that made me think of you" he said with a very nice (Sexy) smile on his face. I looked at him for a second " Why did this one make you think of me" I asked . " Well I looked for the plant that looked awesome" he said with that same smile again. All I could do was stare at him with a goofy grin on my face. That had to be the sweetest thing I had ever heard in my whole life, and for some reason we couldn't stop looking into each others eyes. We got lost in each other eyes and our mouths slowly got closer and closer. I felt is arms grab me and hold me close as we pushed our muzzles together. I felt his long feline tongue slip inside my mouth. I felt like puddy in his arms as we kissed for the first time. My head fluttered as our tongues played together inside my muzzle. Then we relocated our tongues to his mouth and I finally got a good first taste of him and his gum (It was strawberry green apple my favorite flavor). The gum paled in comparison to the taste of him on my tongue . After we finished our kiss (It took three tries to finish) he looked directly into my eyes and said "I Love You Gurin, would you um...... go out with me". I think I almost broke the glass around the cactus when I squealed "Hell Yeah" (THIS WAS THE BEST PRESENT EVER!!!). Then I stepped back and looked down both of us had a giant bulges in our pants but his was wet ,it was a good thing a bathroom was near by. He looked at me with a devious face "You wanna do it in the bathroom" he asked me in his sexy persuasive voice. "NO!!" I said to his disappointment. " We should go to your apartment and do it" I said in my sexy persuasive voice and give him a wink (If you didn't guess he lives alone, well not anymore).

"I should go get cleaned up first" he said pointing to the wet spot in his jeans." I'll use the hand drier to get rid of this spot, if they have one" he said with a rather concerned face. He raced off to the rest room and left me there to examine the cacti. Just then I heard the door to the rest room lock. I thought it strange but I didn't lingerer on the thought. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the neon dragon (Milo if I'm not mistaken) from earlier approach from behind me. I spun around and yelled hello to Milo. He smiled that same cute smile and continued to walk in my direction. After he walked up next to me he started to say something, but at that same moment I heard beeping (Like from a wrist watch) come from the rest room that Kori was in. "Run!!!!" was all I heard Kori screaming from the rest room before a strange gate appeared in front of me. The portal was spinning, the doors on it were perfectly round and around it was Japanese (Lucky I am fluent) it said "Akuma Toguchi" in English it translates into "Demon Doorway".

(Shit) As I stood there dumfounded by the giant doorway the doors flew open and a giant insect flew out straight towards me. I didn't even have time to move but Milo pushed me out of the way just in time but he was stung directly in the stomach. The insect kept flying and knocked over the poisonous cactus. The needles of the plant were loosely attached for defensive purposes so when the giant plant fell the poisonous needles went every where. Now that I had a closer look at the needles they were at least 3ft long. But that didn't help me at all I took a few steps backwards away from the giant monster and tripped over a root. My hand landed directly on one of the poisonous needles. I though I was dead after that but for some reason the poison didn't affect me. "I will be dead soon if I don't think of anything" I thought out loud.

I only had one idea and I didn't know if it would work. First I had to find a week spot in the insects exoskeleton. The giant bug was made up just like a fly but had an extra mouth ,at least eight extra legs, a long stinger ,and it was twice as big as my new car. As that thought passed thorough my head so did another. As though I cued the stupid thing ,the giant fly started spitting a dark purple goop at me. I double o seven rolled out of the line of fire. I watched in horror as my thought was confirmed . The trees and grass that the goop had landed on started to melt (Damn). I guess it was now or never.(I laughed in my head about what I was about to do. I stood up and took flight. I pulled the needle out of my hand from where it had stabbed me. It still had a good bit of the blue poison left in it. I held the needle in my hand like a katana and started to dive bomb the giant fly. Just as I started to rush the giant bug the needle in my hand started to glow emerald. I stopped dead in my tracks and landed because I couldn't see where I was going due to the glow coming from the needle.

The bottom of it began to transform into a Neon red hilt (the handle of a katana if you didn't know) with a black button at the bottom. The thorn it self began to change into what looked like the sharpest blade I had ever seen ,it had my name carved into it , and I could still see the blue poison sloshing around inside the blade of the now amazing katana. "Wow" I said out loud in astonishment. The bug had been temporarily blinded by the bright emerald glow for some strange reason. I took my chance and attacked the fly while it was blinded. I took of from the ground and flew around it I landed on its back .I impaled it in-between its head and thorax and then I pushed the black button at the end of the katana as if my instincts had told me to (By this time I was drenched in blood). When I pushed the button I watched as the poison in the sword began to go into the giant monster. I fell with the fly as the poison took effect and began to root the bug intestines. When the bug landed I jumped off and watched it twitch as it slowly died. I tuned around to look for Milo to see if the sting had killed him or if I could still help him in any way but at that second I heard a loud screech come for the giant bug (Damn it all). I turned around just in time to see the fly take off as fast as it could head first towards me in a last resort to kill me. I felt a chill go down my spine but it wasn't from the thought of dieing. It was a freezing cold breeze and then all of a sudden Kori was in front of me. I watched in awe as he grabbed the fly's head and stopped it dead in its tracks. As quickly as he grabbed it the fly begun to freeze solid. The fly crashed into the ground then I watched Kori's left foot freeze solid.

He jumped at least 5ft into the air and crushed the frozen corps of the dead fly demon with his frozen foot.

I watched his foot return to normal as he turned around with tears in his eyes. "Baby, are you okay" he asked inspecting me over and over again. "Yeah I think so" I said still slightly freaking out about the whole thing. Then a thought crossed my mind "Oh my goodness is Milo still alive" we turned around to see Milo barely clinging to life. " Hold on Milo were going to get you some help" I said trying to reassure him. He had lost a lot of blood. " That demon is know for its poison nothing can cure it" Kori said as he looked at Milo with a sincerely sad face. " Well we cant just leave him here he saved my life Kori" I said sitting down besides him in a puddle of blood and putting my hands on his side. When I placed my hands on his sides the same emerald glow from earlier surrounded him. I watched as the puddle of blood I sat in begun to go back to where I belonged. Kori and I both stared in amazement as all the burses and broken bones begun to heal right in front of our eyes. After a few seconds Milo was back to normal although he was still unconscious.

"Gurin you have two Nryoku's just like me!! " he yelled and hugged me with a giant smile on his face. "I have two what now" I asked really confused at this point. "You'll find out later I'm just glad I don't have to erase your memory" he said hugging me again as he called for a pick up and said that they had another one into his wrist watch. "Erase my what now" I asked as a hologram popped out of his watch and he opened one of Milo's eyes and scanned it with the hologram. "Now he will think he just had a bad dream" Kori said with a content smirk. As he said this the roof of the Gardens opened up like a box lid and a giant plant lowered a latter down to Kori and me. Kori grabbed me by my waist and climbed up the latter to the plane with general ease (Show off). When he reached the top of the ladder he sat me on to the plane and then he climbed up. He lead me down a hall way (Clearly he had been here before) and to a grey door. "You'll have to go in by yourself" he said holding the door open for me to enter with a silly grin on his face.

"I'll be out here waiting for you to come out" he said reassuring me as I entered the room and he closed the door behind me. After he closed the door I began to look around the room (Was every thing grey in here). There were two chairs grey and one table gray table with a slot in middle. I head a voice and turned my head towards where it was coming from. There was a PA style speaker in the corner of the room. The voice coming from the speaker told me to have a seat and that the commander would be in soon. I took my seat just as the door on the other side of the room opened with a star wars style swish. A dark purple leopard walked in the doors he was very well built even though he look to be around thirty years old. I shuttered because the color of his fur reminded me of the purple goop the fly spat at me. He took a seat on the opposite side of the table. He pressed a button under the table and a large glass panel slowly elevated from the slot in the middle of the table. "Hello there Gurin" he finally said to me in his low smooth voice. "What exactly am I doing here" I asked confused at my current predicament. "Well let me lay down the basics for your" he began in what only could be a long overdraw reason for why I was here.

"We observed your Nryoku's at the Gardens" he said as the glass panel showed a play back of my actions at the Gardens. "But what's a...." I started to ask but I was cut off . " Hold all questions until the end of the lecture" he said with a smart-ass smirk on his face. " We would like you to join our organization" he said. "Our organization is called WATER you my have heard of us but not exactly know what we do. WATER is an organization that is devoted to keeping our world safe from the demons that come through the Akuma Toguchi's. We were established in 1920 By the PPA (Plant Protection Association) to keep the people safe and oblivious to the fact that demons appear frequently in our dimension. All the workers in our organization have Nryoku's. Nryoku's are unique powers that a person is born with. It usually manifest when the owner is mature usually showing up around the age of 18. You apparently have two the first being your ability to turn plants into swords and your second being the ability to heal fetal wounds. Your powers would be very useful in helping us fight the demons. Your friend Kori has already joined. So do you think you would be interested." he asked finally end his long lecture. "Well yeah I would anything to help people and one question what does WATER stand for" I said with stars in my eyes for what was about to happen. "That is classified" he said as he gave me a wink. "Now that that is settled Kori can show you around the airship and introduce you to your teammates" he said as my chair turned around and jetted me towards the door that slid open. I slammed into the wall out side. I looked up to see Kori laughing at me.

" Ah I see you met the commander" He laughed snickering at my pain. "Yeah I did and I accepted" I said as he wrapped his arms around me wings and all. "That's great now we will be spending a lot of time together" He said with a warm content smile on his face. "Speaking of that I just realized that you called my baby in the Gardens after you killed that fly" I said with an evil smirk on my face. "Well I should introduce you to our team mates now shouldn't I" he said noticeably blushing through his white fur (Aw so cute). We walked up to a room that had the words lounge flashing above it. We walked in and I saw a (Well there were two of them) contradiction right in front of my face. Its was a pair of twin foxes they looked exactly alike but they were total opposites. They both spoke in unison " Hey Kori who's the new guy". "This is my boyfriend Gurin" he said back as both of us slightly blushed. "He is our newest member" he said with a proud grin on his face.

The foxes spoke in unison again (I hope they don't do this all the time) "No fair Kori we called dibs on the next teammate" speaking in apparently was their sad voice. "Well you can't have this one" he said in I scolding tone. "Gurin this guy is Taiyo" He said pointing to the white fox on the left. He was around 5'10, he had beautiful golden eyes , his fur was white, in the places where a fox would usually be black (The tip of the tail, his ears , hands and general area of his stomach) he was golden, he had long golden hair pulled back into a ponytail, after the rubber band around his ponytail it was braided, his claws were golden, and to be a fox he was very well muscled not as buff as my boyfriend but close. I was going to shake is hand but he just picked my up and gave me my third death hug for the day. "Its nice to meet you Gurin" he said as he put me down. "And this guy on the right is his twin brother Tsuki" he said pointing to the black fox. "I bet you could have guess that with out captain obvious assistance" he said with a sexy smirk on his face. He was the exact same height as his brother. The only difference (Yep you guessed it) is that he was black where his brother was white, and he was silver where his brother was gold. That meant he had a pair of sexy silver eyes. " Hey Gurin close your mouth" Kori said with a smirk. (Damn it) He caught me looking at the pair. "We'll save them for later" he said as he gave me a wink. Following Kori ,Tsuki and Taiko gave me a wink too (I know what that means). "We'll see you two later" they said in unison as we existed the room.
