On Winds High
2010 Gren Drake
Naliak stretched out along the forward observation dock, his forelegs before him, hind legs out to his side, tail was looped around over his ankles, and his wings where spread wide to catch the constant breeze the vessel's movement created. He was the only one on the observation deck which was a good thing considering how much of the small balcony he took up. In front of him he saw the world spread out before him as he did when he was flying.
The saug had emerged only a few years past from the deep underground caverns they'd spent decades dwelling in. As their homes were built within caverns of the magic absorbing nullic ore they'd developed all manner of amazing mechanical devices; the things they did with clockwork were simply incredible! And in the short time since they'd returned to the surface they had not only had the idea for the airship Naliak rode on, but they had designed and built an entire fleet of the things. If they had wanted, he doubted anything could have prevented them from taking over the world.
The airship, odd as the idea seemed to him, was certainly making the long trip much more pleasant, he thought as he raised his head to allow the breeze to blow over him. All the pleasures of flying without any of the work! This pleasant reverie was interrupted as a human man stumbled out of the delicate French doors, crashing onto the deck and almost falling onto Naliak.
The man clamped one hand on the railing that ran around the deck while his other hand was clamped just as tightly around the neck of an unlabelled bottle filled with amber fluid.
"Gah, oh, hi there sir dragon," the man said, slurring his words as he wobbled in place. He paused for a moment to take a swig from the bottle he was holding.
Naliak turned his head to glare at the man. He did not appreciate having his peaceful flight disturbed and he especially didn't appreciate being called 'sir dragon'. As if his species was the sum of all important about him!
"You, sir human, are drunk." Naliak returned his gaze to the vista below once more, pointedly not looking at the human. He watched the man out of the corner of his eye though; humans, especially drunk humans, could be unpredictable.
"Yesh, sir dragon, delightfully so." The human turned to the rail and, standing right at the edge, leaned over to look straight down.
"Careful there! You don't want to fall off, do you? It'd be embarrassing if I did, but it'd be far worse for you."
The man shrugged. "What if I did? It's not like anyone would notice."
Naliak shook his head; how could anyone think like that? "Surely someone would. If nothing else, the Aerial Transport Group would notice they'd lost a passenger."
The man shrugged and straightened so he could drink some more, but he remained unsteady and so leaned against the railing.
"Please," Naliak said, "just come away from there. Things will look better after you've gotten the liquor out of your system.
"Gah," the man said, but he did step away from the railing. Taking a few steps towards the dragon he stumbled over the smoothly planed wooden deck then tripped over one of Naliak's outstretched hind legs and fell over the dragon's body to slam against the railing. The bottle he'd been holding shattered against the deck with the remains of the alcohol spreading across the it; the odour penetrated even Naliak's poor sense of smell.
"Are you okay?" Naliak asked as he rose to his feet. Even as he did this the man pulled himself up on the railing, clutching it tightly with both hands as he stared at the remains of the shattered bottle.
"My whiskey!"
"Never mind that! I think you need to get inside before anything more happens." Naliak took a step towards the man who waved one hand in a vague warding gesture. This was enough to overbalance him and he fell backwards, almost rolling over the railing. His hands flew to grab the wooden posts that held the rail up. Only one managed to get a grip, but this broke only moments later. Naliak stared in horror as the man fell towards the distant ground.
Once the dragon's reactions had caught up with events he launched himself off of the deck with his wings snapping to their fullest extension as he dived towards the falling human. Only seconds later he caught up to and grabbed the falling form, wrapping one foreleg around the man and holding him tight against his chest. The human was unconscious and limp in Naliak's grasp; the dragon wished the human could have stayed conscious a little longer and so been able to hold on.
Flying back up to the deck was more difficult, especially with the weight of the human. Where it took only a few seconds to descend to the human, it took a couple of minutes for Naliak to lose his downward velocity and climb back up to the airship deck.
He landed heavily on the deck almost collapsing because of his need to hold onto the human with one leg. One of the crew was standing on the deck. The saug was short, barely half the human's height, and covered in iridescent scales. He wore a simple tunic that went down to his knees and that was embroidered with the name Aerial Transport Group and accompanying logo.
"There was a commotion reported out here. What is going on?"
Naliak explained what had happened over the past few minutes.
"Ah, yes. I had observed that he was drinking heavily earlier. I shall speak to the bartender. Thank you for preventing this disaster. I shall have him assisted to his room to recover." The short lizard bowed his head for a moment then pulled a whistle on a string from under his tunic. Other crew-members quickly appeared and, despite their small size, they rapidly carried the unconscious human away. Naliak stood there for a few minutes after they'd left, but his peace and relaxation did not return.
Returning to the interior of the airship, Naliak squeezed through the tight corridors on the way back to his room. The corridors had been designed for humans by the diminutive saug and as such were quite cramped; even humans sometimes found them tight. The airship, or at least the passenger area, was not large so it took only a minute or so for him to reach his cabin. The crew had thoughtfully stowed the furniture from his room into the baggage area when he'd boarded so, while the room was small, Naliak was able to move about comfortably.

It was several days before Naliak saw the man again; this was no surprise for the first couple as he suspected the human needed to sleep and recover from his alcoholic excesses. Naliak had never tried drinking, but from what he'd heard the busy common room was not the right place for rest and recovery. As the days passed and he still did not see the man again, he decided that the human had gotten off at one of the periodic stops the airship made.
It was five days before he saw the man again. The dragon was stretched out in his cabin, his belly filled with a satisfying meal and his eyes drooping as he considered going to sleep, when he heard a knock on the cabin door.
"Come in," he said, expecting it to be one of the crew. He wasn't sure why they'd want to talk to him, but he couldn't think who else it could be. That his visitor was a human man came as a surprise and it took him a minute to realize that it was the same one that he'd encountered on the deck previously.
"Hello?" Naliak asked.
"I'm sorry to just drop in this way," the man said, stepping forward so he could lean against the door frame, "but I wanted to thank you for saving me a few days ago. You where right, things did seem better once I was sober. They've cut me off at the bar now."
Naliak nodded. "I could hardly let you fall to your death. You do know I'm not going to buy you any drinks?"
On hearing Naliak's question, the man laughed briefly. "No worries. Its better this way really; I have trouble stopping myself if alcohol is around, but as long as I can't drink it I won't get drunk." The man smiled at the dragon. "I'm Michael, by the way." He held out his hand. "Wish we could have met under better circumstances."
Shifting so that he could put a fore-paw in the man's hand, Naliak replied. "I'm Naliak. And I agree, but it could have been a lot worse if we hadn't met there. Why don't you come in inside?"
Michael nodded soberly and stepped inside the cabin. "True." He looked around the room and raised an eyebrow. "What happened to your furniture?"
"The crew removed it. It's not like I could have used most of it. I'm afraid that if you need to sit you'll have to use the floor."
"That's not a problem," the main said as he lowered himself to sit cross-legged on the floor. "What's a dragon doing on an airship, anyway? You've got wings, couldn't you just fly?"
"Oh sure, I could fly." Naliak said. "I can even out-fly this airship, for a time at least. But the airship doesn't need to sleep, eat, or to rest, so it'd out-pace me for longer trips. Besides, this is a lot more comfortable." Naliak gave Michael a grin. "You have legs; couldn't you just walk wherever you're going?"
"True enough I suppose," Michael replied. "Though my walking would be less practical than your flying. If humans had wings I think there'd be rather fewer passengers."
Naliak shook his head. "I have my doubts. So how are you going to pass the time now that you're not drinking?"
"Other than sleeping?" The man shrugged. "There's usually a game or two going in the common room; gambling's not nearly so much a problem for me as the drink. How do you pass the time? Even if you fit comfortably in the games room, I don't think be able to join in very well."
The dragon chuckled at this. "I don't have any interest in most of those games anyway. Mostly I spend my time on the forward deck enjoying the wind. Its just like flying only without the work. Flying is exhilarating even if it can be tiring."
"You don't find it stressful, spending so much time away from anyone of your own kind?"
Naliak looked at the human with his head tilted. "There are a lot more of your kind than mine around. Since I don't want to stay at home all the time, its something I have gotten used to. Besides, we are not as social a species as you humans are; many dragons will be alone a good part of the year after finding themselves a home. Especially in winter when the mountains become impassable even to those who can fly."
Michael's eyes were wide and he stared at the dragon as he spoke. "You spend that much time cut off from everyone else? I can't imagine what that would be like. What do you do with yourself?"
"Magic is a common hobby and the practical aspects make it a very useful study. I suspect that's why so many more dragons use magic than humans; you humans are always too busy to really study something. I can't remember the last time I heard about a living human mage."
"They have a tendency to get lynched these days. There's too much bad blood there for people to really accept magic."
Naliak's head pulled back in shock. "Really? Why? Magic can be quite useful in daily tasks, especially for those of us with limited manual dexterity."
"You don't know? A couple of centuries ago the mage Azosah tried to build himself an empire. He committed more than a few atrocities to assure his subject's loyalty, not to mention his experiments."
Naliak shook his head. "Really, I don't. I probably know no more of your species history than you do of my own."
"Humph." Michael glanced around the room for a moment. "How much magic do you know?"
"None, actually." Naliak stopped for a moment as he laughed. "I've never had the talent for it, myself. Me, I paint. You should see the walls of my caves at home. They're covered in paint. I even mix it myself. I'd show you, but I've got everything stored away back home. Somehow I don't see you wanting to trudge through the mountains to see them."
Michael glanced down at the dragon's forepaws. While definitely more useful than a typical animal's paws, they didn't have nearly the dexterity or usefulness of human hands.
"How...?" Michael asked. "I'm sorry, I have trouble picturing you handling a brush with hands like that. They look like they're as much feet as hands."
"Practice," Naliak said. "Years of practice. Its not like I have anything else to do with the time. You're right, I was quite terrible at first, but there aren't many distractions during winter."
The human looked up and met the dragon's eyes. "What brings you to such a long trip?"
"I often spend the winter with my sister and her husband. The Council assigned her to a territory near our border with the grelthaka recently though and I didn't feel like making the trip the hard way."
The human visibly shuttered at the word grelthaka, but made no comment on it. "You are social then," he said instead.
"Not as much as humans are, but we don't live in solitude either. My sister recently had a kit and I'd like to see my nephew."
The human nodded. "You do get lonely then."
"At times," the dragon admitted. "I've never had much luck finding a mate, so I admit I tend to dote somewhat on my nieces and nephews. Tell me," he asked, changing the subject, "what brings you on a lengthy flight?"
"My family has spent the past few generations working for the lord's family in a small kingdom near the Accursed Lands. With the new overlord that's taken over a hasty departure seemed to be wise."
Naliak cocked his head slightly as he replied. "I see," he lied; he didn't really understand the situation, but he thought it'd be impolitic to ask for an explanation. Human politics were a strange and complicated thing.
The man nodded. "Moving on, then." A nervous smile alighted on his lips. "I don't want to seem forward or anything, but perhaps I could keep you company during the flight? I don't actually know anyone on board myself and from what happened last time I got drunk, it might be better not to hang around the games room next to it too much; better not the temptation." He gave Naliak a self-deprecatory smile. "I don't have a lot of willpower, I'm afraid."
Naliak cocked his head, looking at the man as he considered. "I suppose. The crew could probably get a chair or such if you'd like, but there isn't a whole lot of room in here for both me and furniture."
Michael shook his head. "I'll just grab a cushion before I come by next time." He glanced out the narrow cabin window. "Its getting late. Perhaps we should get some sleep and meet up again tomorrow?"
Naliak glanced out the window as well and saw that it'd become rather dark out. He nodded. "Sounds like a plan."
The human stood. "Tomorrow then," he said and a moment later he left.
As Naliak continued to lie in place he contemplated the encounter and considered his conflicting emotions. On one hand, the trip was quite boring and he wouldn't mind the distraction at all, but he couldn't help but wonder what the human's real intent was. He'd never heard of a human who struck up with a dragon without having ulterior motives.
He shook his head; the only way to find out would be to wait and see. He could always say no.
With that final thought he laid his head between his forepaws and slipped into sleep.
* * *
Naliak met with the human several times over the subsequent few days and was increasingly sure that the human really didn't want anything from him. At least not him specifically. When Michael was with him, the human didn't drink and, despite Naliak's previous experience, it seemed the human didn't actually want to, but just couldn't stop himself. It was strange and not something the dragon understood, but it was something he was more than happy to help the human with.
As he become more and more certain that Michael really didn't want anything more than his company, even if not for its own sake, he became more and more comfortable in the human's presence.
Naliak was stretched out across the cabin one night with Michael sitting on a cushion he'd procured from the crew and leaning against the dragon's belly. They'd spent most of the day talking about magic. Mostly about its place in society since neither of them knew much about the actual mechanics of it. Naliak found it strange how special the human culture made it out to be and how they so often reviled it though he understood this latter better after Michael had told him the stories about the history of the conqueror-mage Azosah
"In the end," Michael was telling him, "Azosah was defeated when the things he'd done to one of his lieutenant's family finally overpowered the compulsions he'd used."
"Compulsion spells are notoriously unreliable," Naliak protested. "According to rumour, even the control collars the Council commissioned to use on criminals fail almost a quarter of the time and they're designed by our best mages. Surely Azosah would have been aware of the limits of his own magic?"
The human shrugged. "I'll just telling the story; I wasn't actually there you know. Azosah is said to have been something of a megalomaniac so I suppose he could have been convinced of his own infallibility."
Naliak shook his head. "Strange." He unconsciously shifted his wings responding to an unnoticed change in the vibration of the airship.
"Anyway," Michael continued, "he died from a dagger in the back, killed by one of his inner circle."
"That's the danger of trying to rule by force," the dragon said. "It's a lesson you humans seem to need to learn again and again. No offense, I hope."
It was Michael's turn to shake his head. "Not at all. I had a good demonstration of that when I saw the castle I'd lived in burn."
Naliak started to speak, to ask what the human meant, but he stopped. It was, he suspected, a topic that Michael would not care to recall. "So what are you planning to do when you get off?" he asked instead.
Michael laughed. "I managed to snag a fair amount of portable wealth as I fled. I've been thinking I might just stay aboard this lovely little ship until I die. Never again would I have to see the folly of my fellow humans."
"Ah-" Naliak began to speak, but he was cut off as the airship seemed to tumble in the air as severe turbulence caught it and tossed everything inside around. Both the human and the dragon were tossed across the room to where they landed in a tangle of limbs.
"Are you okay?" Naliak asked. He blinked and shook his head in an attempt to clear it. His horns had slammed into the wall giving him something of a headache, but this would pass he knew. The ache from where his wings had gotten caught under his body would last longer, but those limbs were thankfully quite flexible and were surprisingly hard to damage. He wouldn't be able to fly for a few days, but that wasn't something he had been planning on doing anyway.
He glanced around the cabin in an attempt to find Michael. If he'd been thrown into or even onto the human Michael could be severely injured. It was a moment before he realized that the human was still laying against him, though he was stretched out against the taut hide of the dragon's belly now rather than leaning against it. Somehow during the turbulence Michael had gotten his head stuck between the dragon's legs and his head pressed against the pubic bump there.
"Fine, I'm fine." Michael's words echoed from between the dragon's thighs. His chin rubbed against the bump as he spoke, eliciting sensations that Naliak hadn't felt in far too long. The human must have realized where his head was as he jerked upright and glanced around the room. "I'm actually glad you don't have any furniture now. I hate to think what my cabin looks like."
Naliak winced in sympathy as he thought of what the other passengers' cabins must look like. Hopefully no one had been injured. "What do you think happened?" he asked. Feeling an erection forming from where the human had rubbed against him he rolled onto his belly so he wouldn't embarrass his guest. He'd heard that humans tended to have much more body modesty than was decent.
"I'm sure that if something major happened they'll-" Michael was interrupted as one of the crew shouted from outside the cabin.
"Everyone stay calm! The airship has experienced a minor drive fluctuation. We will have it repaired with only a short delay in our trip. There is no, I repeat, no danger." As the unseen crew member spoke his voice got louder until it sounded like he was standing just outside the door than quieter again as he presumably moved down the hallway. He repeated the message continuously.
"No danger? Maybe not from falling out of the sky, but falling furniture can be dangerous as well," Michael said.
Naliak nodded, his mind distracted. He wished that his companion hadn't bumped against him just where he had; a feeling of arousal was flowing through him and while he knew it would only last a few minutes before fading it made him feel very awkward in the meantime. For the first time, Naliak envied the human his clothing; if Naliak had clothing, the growing erection would have been far less apparent.
Michael glanced back at the dragon. "You okay? I didn't hurt you went I landed against, ah, you, did I?"
"No, not hurt." Naliak said. "Quite the opposite." After the words where out, he wondered if he should have said them. Humans were more delicate about such affairs and he had no desire to offend his new traveling companion.
At first Michael's eyebrow rose questioningly then the human's cheeks turned bright red. "Sorry, I didn't mean to-"
Naliak dismissed Michael's concern with the wave of a forepaw. "Don't worry about it. Its not a problem, I assure you."
"Well," Michael said, "I suppose if you say so." He hesitated for a moment. "Don't you find it, ah, awkward at times not wearing clothing?"
"No. I guess it's what you're used to, though. I can't imagine going through the effort of putting on and taking off clothes every day. My hide is thick enough that most weather doesn't bother me. I've never really understood why humans take so much pride and care in their coverings. Surely a simple cloth would be much easier to deal with and provide at least as much protection from the elements?" Although Naliak's confusion was real, he was hoping that expressing it would lead his human companion from topics that seemed to embarrass him.
Michael glanced down at the dragon's forepaws once again. "I suppose it would be rather more cumbersome for you. I suspect it's a lot easier for us. It doesn't have to take long unless it's a fancy outfit or something and those are intended to attract attention or to show one's position. I would think that the constant nudity would lead to some embarrassing situations."
Naliak twitched his tail. "Not normally. For us it's just normal, not embarrassing at all."
"Then why are you laying like that?"
"I don't want to make you uncomfortable."
"Don't worry about me; I don't want you be uncomfortable either."
"If you say so." With another twitch of his tail, Naliak rolled back onto his side, resting his wings against the floor and allowing the muscles to relax. His tail formed a loose arc around the human's side. His erection stuck out between his legs, bouncing slightly with his motion and shinning slightly in the light of the room.
Michael stared at it for a moment. "That looks, ah, different than a human, ahem, you know what."
"I can't say I'm surprised. I'm not human, after all. Did you really expect something human?"
"I suppose not. Why is it shiny?" The human blushed as he asked the question, but still reached a finger out towards the throbbing length.
"That's the mucous coating; it makes it slicker for, ahem, use. You don't have such a thing?"
The human's touch against the dragon's slick length sent a pleasurable sensation through Naliak's body, but he tried his best to ignore it.
"No."
"Doesn't it get rather uncomfortable? I would think it rather less pleasant without the mucous to lubricate things."
"Human woman produce enough of that for our purposes," Michael said. Then he put the finger he'd touched Naliak's length with into his mouth and sucked off the bit of mucous.
"Not much flavor."
Naliak cocked his head, looking at the human curiously. "You care about that?"
"Ah," the human said. "Ah, I..." His words trailed off and he instead ran a finger along the dragon's length. "It feels so warm and moist; you don't mind my doing this, do you?"
"Not at all," Naliak assured him. "As long is its not making you uncomfortable. Why should it?" Having a human so interested in his cock was strange and, despite his response, the situation wasn't entirely comfortable, but the human's touch felt good and he hadn't had the chance to be with anyone in that way for quite a while. There where, he reflected, downsides to a largely solitary life.
"There are a lot of humans who would not agree with you there. Men are expected to be uninterested in other men's crotches."
Naliak tilted his head, the unspoken question 'why?' in his expression.
"I'm the wrong one to ask about that," Michael said as he went from running a single finger down the draconic length to gently massaging it with multiple fingers. "I've never understood people's attitudes about it, but then, I guess there's a reason I'm not married."
The sensations that were making their way to Naliak's brain had increased. It was an experience that he'd never known as his kind lacked the soft, smooth fingers humans possessed. Without even thinking about it he spread his legs apart, revealing his entire groin and rolled partially unto his back, automatically tucking one wing beneath him.
Michael moved so that he was crouched over the dragon's tail and leaned forward to continue stroking the increasingly hard member. Then, leaning forward even further, he ran his tongue along the length, sending electric shivers up Naliak's spine.
"Oh, my!" Naliak had to fight to keep his hips from thrusting upwards. His body wanted to respond to the human's attentions in the same way it would have were he having sex. His eyes slowly slid closed as the attentions the human was paying to his length consumed his world until only the touch of finger against cock was left.
He didn't notice at first as a finger explored the base of his tail. That finger slowly ran up the underside of his tail until it reached the small pucker there. Once there it slid along the edge of the dragon's sphincter, surprising Naliak with the sensations that could be created from that rarely thought of bit of anatomy.
The human's exploring finger departed only to join those of his other hand on the dragon's cock. It ran along the surface of the dragon's length, collecting a good quantity of the slick mucous before returning to the unsuspecting sphincter. Naliak gasped as the finger gently pushed into him, the collected mucous smoothing its path. It felt strange to the dragon, out of place. It did not, however, feel unpleasant, especially when the human finger found what it was looking for and started a regular massage of his prostate.
Meanwhile the human's other hand had not remained still and was still stroking the dragon's hard cock. The hand had become thoroughly covered in the unending supply of mucous that coated the length of the cock. Naliak's breath was ragged now, coming in pants and gasps as his heart pounded in his chest.
Then came a new surprise as Michael took the tip of the dragon's length into his mouth, caressing it as he leaned forward, taking as much of the dragon's hard cock between his lips as he could.
As Naliak felt himself building rapidly towards a climax his only coherent thought was amazement that a human, especially a male human, could bring him to such heights so quickly. Perhaps those dragons that preferred human 'companionship' were on to something?
The thought didn't last long as the sensations Michael was sending through his body overwhelmed his conscious mind. His body reacted automatically, his hips thrusting upwards, pushing his length into the human's waiting mouth as his heart beat franticly in his chest seeming almost to be trying to escape.
All too soon the sensations reached their peak; ever more intense sensations washed over him and took the world away for a moment. He could feel his seed pulsing through his length, the small part of him that still contained his conscious mind knowing that it was rapidly filling the human's mouth. And with every pulse of seed he send down Michael's throat his ass pulsed against the human finger that still remained in place there.
Finally he opened his eyes once more and looked up at the human. His cock was laying half flaccid on his stomach, leaking a bit of his seed onto his hide. Traces could be seen around the human's mouth as well.
"That, that was as incredible as it was unexpected," Naliak said as his breath caught up with him. He could feel his heart slowing down once again in his chest, no longer pounding within him. He felt good, but he also felt like he'd just landed after a long flight. "Why?" he asked, curiosity outweighing the possibility of being rude. "I would not have expected a human to be so forward."
"Why not? This could well be the first time I've found someone so willing; few humans are willing to risk doing anything that might make people think they prefer their own sex to the other. And," Michael licked his lips, "you taste surprisingly good as well. Good as it may feel, most humans don't taste all that good."
"You've done this before?"
"Yes. Not, I admit, with a dragon, but yes. Some things are the same everywhere, it seems." Michael gave Naliak a wide grin. "The biggest difference was your openness. That is something I've rarely seen."
"I'll take your word for it. This seems to leave a bit of a mess, though. We're going to need to find some towels or something to clean this up."
"If you don't mind," the human said, gazing down at the dragon's face, "I'm not actually done, but I'll need to grab some things before I can continue. I'll grab some towels on the way back."
"More? What more could there be?"
Michael put a finger to the end of the dragon's snout. "You'll find out soon enough." He stood. "I'll be back in a moment."
"I don't think I could do that nearly as well as you did."
Michael shook his head. "You'd be surprised; you've got a lot of tongue in that maw of yours and I believe you could do wonderful things with it. That wasn't what I was thinking of, though. You aren't going to need to do anything." Giving the dragon a secretive smile, Michael slipped out of the room.
During the couple of minutes the human was gone, Naliak considered what he'd said and tried to figure out what the human was thinking of. He was inexperienced with sex, even among dragons, so what he could think of was nothing much.
The human returned with a couple of large towels, which he immediately tossed into the corner for later, and what looked, for all the world, like a small amphora.
Naliak looked at the bottle with a tilted head. Its narrow neck was short and the pair of handles sprouting from each side was larger. A crude cork had been stuffed into the top. "What's that?"
"I'll show you in just a moment," Michael told him as he set the vase down so he could slip out of his clothes. The dragon watched with open curiosity, surprised when he saw the human blush until he remember the typical human modesty. Despite prior events, it seemed Michael was not without his share. The clothing joined the towels in the corner, well out of the way of the occupants of the room.
"That looks small," Naliak said without thinking as he looked at the human's flaccid cock. "Does it always hang out like that?" This was the first time he'd seen a human naked and, although he knew intellectually that humans would probably have quite different genitalia, he was surprised to actually see how different it was. If he'd thought about it he'd have pictured something more draconic.
"It gets bigger," Michael said defensively. "We can't all be dragons."
"True," Naliak said, ducking his head in embarrassment over his impolitic response. Despite this faux pas however, Michael knelt over the dragon's tail once more. He picked up the amphora and poured out some of the contents onto one hand. As he set the vase to the side, Naliak was surprised to see he made sure to reseal it. It was an awkward act with only one hand; Michael kept the hand with the fluid clear of everything.
Then he poured some of the fluid onto the base of Naliak's tail and onto his own cock. It was warm against the dragon's hide and flowed so readily that it quickly coated everything in its vicinity. As Michael's hands moved over the dragon's coated flesh they seemed to almost glide over the rough hide as though it were glass or polished stone.
Then, as Naliak watched, one of the human's fingers pushed into his sphincter again, spreading it open enough that Michael could push some of the incredibly slick fluid inside.
"Lubricant," Naliak said, wonder in his voice. "That's incredible stuff; what kind of magic made it?"
"None," Michael said with a grin. "Its made from the sap of a tree of all things. The raw stuff is pretty sticky, but I'm told turning it into this is a fairly simple process. It can be hard to store, though. It slips through the tiniest cracks and makes it rather hard to seal containers."
"Incredible." Naliak was going to say more, but Michael surprised him by pushing a second finger into his ass. It slid in readily, impeded only by the dragon's sphincter squeezing tightly against it. The way it stretched wasn't painful, but it did feel strange and a bit unpleasant.
"Relax," Michael told him. "This isn't going to hurt and will be a lot more pleasant if you're relaxed."
Michael slowly thrust his pair of fingers into the dragon, pulling them out again when they were all the way in only to plunge them in once more. Despite having reached his climax only a few minutes earlier, Naliak was amazed to find that he was becoming erect once more as the human massaged his inner walls.
As Michael continued Naliak could feel his sphincter slowly relax, becoming accustomed to the intrusion. It didn't stop squeezing against the human's fingers, but it did become less unpleasant; compared to the sensations the fingers were causing it was now almost unnoticed.
Naliak felt disappointed when Michael removed his fingers; the sensations had been incredible and he'd become quite hard again, but it hadn't been nearly enough to bring him to orgasm. Then, to his surprise, Michael moved forward, placing his hands on the dragon's hind-legs and holding them apart. His cock rested at the base of the dragon's tail just touching his anus and with a smooth motion the head of that member penetrated into the dragon who suddenly became very glad that Michael did not, in fact, have a draconic cock.
The surprise of being penetrated thusly lasted only a moment as the human began to thrust into the dragon. Despite Naliak's own cock having remained untouched, it was now hard and throbbing in time to his heartbeat. He could feel himself starting to pant.
The pace of Michael's thrusts began to slowly pick up and each stimulated Naliak more and more, pushing him further and further towards his second climax, but despite the increasing sensations that orgasm seemed to get closer only slowly.
Michael, the dragon saw, had begun to pant as well and was starting to shine in the cabin light as his body began to exude sweat from the exertion. Naliak's own jaws hung open as he started to pant despite not actually doing anything. The human's eyes closed as his hands spread Naliak's legs almost uncomfortably wide. As Michael leaned forward he was putting his weight onto the dragon's legs, something that Naliak would not have been able to handle had Michael been a dragon. Being human, he was light enough that Naliak could support his weight on his hind-legs.
With each thrust Michael drove himself deeper into the dragon and as the sensations continued to wash over Naliak beads of precum began to form at the end of his cock, amazing him. The reaction of his body to the continued stimulation was strange and the idea of having a second orgasm so soon only more-so.
Naliak felt more than saw his own eyes close, the disappearance of the light going unnoticed. Despite the almost painful sensations running through his body it was not quite enough for him to reach that second orgasm and even without thinking about it he reached with one fore-paw to wrap his stubby fingers around his throbbing cock, stroking it.
With this additional stimulation it was only moments more before Naliak reached his climax. So buried was his mind in the sensations that the orgasm came as a surprise to him and he didn't even notice as his seed shot out with unusual force to splatter across his chest and neck with some droplets missing and landing on the floor. A trickle afterwards ran down the length of his member, getting onto his paw.
As his mind returned to the world and he opened his eyes once more he was greeted with the sight of Michael tensing, burying his human length fully in the dragon as he released his seed into the larger creature.
As Michael recovered from his climax and dismounted from the dragon, the cooling semen on the dragon's hide began to make itself noticed. Naliak realized his fore-paw was still gripping his once-again retreating cock and he forced himself to let go.
Michael stood, his member already becoming flaccid after his climax, and tossed one of the towels onto Naliak's chest before wiping himself off with the other.
"Wow." That was the only word that Naliak could conceive of to describe what he had just experienced. "I would never have believed that that was possible."
Michael smiled at Naliak as the dragon roughly wiped himself off; handling the towel with his crude fingers was difficult, but nothing he was unfamiliar with.
"Now you know better. I admit, I never imagined I do something like this with a dragon. Nothing personal, but I usually stick to my own species. Not that I'm sorry I made an exception."
"I'm hardly in a position to object," Naliak said, dumping the towel onto the cabin floor and rolling onto his belly, careful to avoid the spots of semen on the floor. "Cross-species sexuality is new to me as well. If this is any indication, however, its definitely worth pursuing." The dragon chuckled. "This does bring some, ah, enduring friendships I've seen into a new light; I wonder how many already know about this?"
Michael shook his head with a sad grin. "Many, many."
Naliak slowly pulled himself to his feet, his cock, though mostly retracted into his body, still hung partially between his legs and he was amused to see Michael watching it. Pretending not to take notice, he began to wipe the floor with the towel, cleaning up the remains of his spilt semen.
"Do they have anywhere we could take a bath on this airship?" Michael asked.
"There is a shower-stall in each cabin," the dragon said. "You can use it if you like; there's no way I could fit in there."
"How will you get clean?"
"I'll endure until I get where I'm going. I can stop at a lake then."
"No," Michael said. "I have a fair better idea. I'll get some more towels and a bucket of water and give you a good rub-down after I've gotten myself clean. I'd hate for you to be stuck as a mess because of me."
"Really? I'd do it myself, but its hard for me to reach."
"Really," the human said.
And despite being a different species, Naliak found he was already looking forward to having the human's hands all over him.
