"Damn it, how's that even possible?" Leo asked himself, walking along Route 117. "Two different daycares in two different regions, and neither of them were able to help me with my little problem!" He sighed, grabbing the Friend Ball he had attached to his belt, looking over it. "As much as I don't want to let you down, I dunno what other options I have - I can't keep hopping between regions... it'd be so much easier if I had a flying Pokémon on-hand." He was about to place the ball back on his belt, when a sign caught his attention. "Pokémon Day Care? On this route of all places?"

He took another look at the Friend Ball, glancing back at the sign. "I guess it couldn't hurt to check, maybe I'll actually get lucky!" He broke into a sprint, reaching the building. He opened the door, taking a look inside. "Hello? Anyone in here?" He asked. He could see something appearing to move from behind the reception desk, the young human moving in closer to take a look.

"Sorry, I'm here, I was just cleaning some stuff up!" A figure rose from behind the desk. "How can I help you today?"

Leo stared on blankly, not sure what he was even looking at.

"What, do I have something on my face?" She reached up to feel it, noticing a taloned hand resting on her beak. "Oh, Rattatas! I forgot to put my disguise back on, didn't I?"

"W... what am I even looking at?" He blinked. From what he could tell, she didn't appear to be a Pokémon - at least not one he had ever seen before. She stood taller than him, covered in black feathers adorned with purple markings, magical blades of energy in place of wings. The fact that she was also completely nude and sporting some very feminine features only added to the awkwardness of the situation.

"A raven." She responded. "The closest thing by comparison would be a Corviknight - I could take that form if it'd help!"

"I... I'm good... I think..." He stammered, trying to compose herself. The raven couldn't help but smirk. "This... this IS a daycare, right?"

"Yup, one of the best daycares around!" She beamed proudly. "I go above and beyond to ensure that a trainer's Pokémon is well looked after, or paired up with the finest partner for breeding!"

"Right, right.." He was still trying to comprehend everything. "The name's Leo."

"I'm Pe-" She paused, knowing that it was kinda pointless using the name of her human guise at this point. "Shade. Shade the raven! So what brings you to my daycare today?"

"What brings me.... Oh!" He finally shook off his bewilderment, even forgetting that he was holding the Friend Ball still. "I've been trying to find a partner for my Arcanine. She's in heat right now, and as much as it'd be easier to leave her with a Ditto, I'd like for her to be able to mate with another Arcanine. The only problem is that none of the day cares that I've been to so far have had one to spare." He tossed the ball up in the air, the sphere opening up, releasing the large, canine creature in a flash of light. She let out a low growl as she stared at Leo and Shade.

"That's a decent Arcanine you've got there!" She smiled, gently stroking her muzzle with her scaly claws. "As much as I hate to say it, I currently don't have any Arcanines on hand..."

"Oh..." Leo hung his head low.

"HOWEVER!" She continued. "I do have a way to help her out, and it doesn't involve a Ditto!"

"You do? That'd be great! What is it?"

"Simple - I turn you into an Arcanine so you can breed with her!"

".... what?" He responded in utter confusion.

"Exactly that! I use a little bit of magic to turn you into an Arcanine, then you two can go at it! I do have to warn you that it is permanent, however!"

"That... kinda sounds like a big ask..." Leo told her, somewhat hesitant. His Arcanine, however, sounded more positive, growling her approval. "Arcanine, you want me to go through with this?"

"Arc, arc!" She barked excitedly, as if saying 'yes, yes, take her up on her offer!'

"You're... REALLY asking a lot... I mean for one I'm gonna be stuck going around on all fours for the rest of my life, two, the lack of hands would be a major inconvenience, three, I wouldn't even be able to talk to you or anyone else, and four, what if some random trainer decided to capture me for their own team?!"

"I wouldn't worry too much about those factors." Shade told him. "One, I can easily set up some things for you so you can get around with the obvious lack of hands. Two, I've made a good few advancements since starting up this service, fine tuning my potions and all so that my customers retain their voices, and three, I make sure there's just enough human left in you so that Poké Balls of any kind will fail. Seeing how Arcanine will still be your Pokémon, you won't have to worry about her being captured, either!"

"I wouldn't have to worry about that?" He thought about it for a moment before shaking his head. "I don't think I should! I mean what will I tell my other Pokémon, or my friends?" He would have protested further, but Arcanine was nudging at his side, as if trying to beg him to reconsider.

"Arcanine, arc!" She barked again, looking at him with pleading eyes.

"Come on, girl, don't give me that look..." He mumbled - it was a trick she pulled off from time to time, acting pouty and giving him big, sad eyes. "Damn it... I guess I can't really refuse when she's giving me the look!" He chuckled. The Arcanine's ears perked up, and she hugged her trainer, pushing him to the ground. "Hey, go a little bit easy!" He laughed.

"Perfect!" Shade giggled. "Normally I'd do this with either a potion or an injection, but since the Delcatty's out of the bag on this one, I might as well go the direct route and use a bit of magic on you!" She stepped closer. "I'd advise that you change out of your clothes whilst you still can, and that we do it in one of the private rooms - last thing we want is for someone to come in whilst you're in the middle of the process, after all!" She grabbed his hand, pulling him beside her as she took him to one of the private rooms, locking the door.

"Wow... this room's pretty elaborate..." Leo looked around - it looked almost like a honeymoon suite that you'd see in a hotel, rather than something from a standard breeding center. He removed his clothing, both Arcanine and Shade keeping their eyes on him.

"Relax, you've got nothing to worry about!" She smiled, petting the Arcanine's snout. "Everything in here should help get you in the eventual mood for some fun, but in case you can't get it going smoothly, I'm on hand to ensure it all works out either way!"

"And you're sure this'll work?" Leo asked.

"Yup! I'd say 'you could find out for yourself and ask some of my previous customers, but most of them can't talk. That's the problem when you have to work on stuff whilst under a human guise - you never know if you're going to have the time to fine tune everything, and it gets so freaking BORING not having anyone to have a conversation with!" She told him. "I can translate their calls in my head, but it's not the same when you can't have a mouth-to-mouth talk!"

"And now they can?"

"I still gotta go back to the older subjects to find out who had what, but yeah, most of them now are perfectly speech capable, and that'll include you!"

"I'd hope so too.... Well, whenever you're ready, Shade!" He moved to stand by the bed, the Arcanine taking a good, long look at his naked form. It was the first time she had ever seen him naked, and from her point of view, he didn't look too bad. He'd probably look a lot better with some fur and all.

"I'm always ready~" She chirped, raising a hand as bright, purple energy gathered in it, forming into a sphere. Once it was formed, she tossed it at him, causing a sudden rush of energy to flow through his body.

"Gah... that... feels so strange..." He trembled, his body pulsing. Everything felt strange, an itching sensation filling his body, and as he went to try to scratch at his arm in an attempt to subdue that feeling, he noticed patches of orange fur growing in across his arms, separated by the occasional streak of black fur. "Holy... this is actually happening?" He asked - a small part of him had been thinking that this was some kind of elaborate hoax, but seeing the fur growing in, he knew it was all too real.

"Well of course, this is real magic after all!" Shade winked.

The fur covered his hands, which in turn slowly grew thicker. The middle digits merged, becoming stubbier overall, sharp claws sprouting from his fingertips. The palms of his hands gained puffy soft pads, his wrists adjusting slightly as the hands finished shifting into forepaws. He took a look at them, running them along his arm to the best of his ability.

"Damn... this is really something else!" The fur continued upwards, his muscles growing broader, especially around his shoulders. He could feel himself growing more top-heavy by the moment, his Arcanine moving in to help support his shifting frame. Everything that was covered by the fur continued to grow and enlarge, his muscles developing further, his body gaining more bulk. His chest rose up and down with each breath, becoming broader thanks in part to his rib cage expanding, his upper torso barreling forwards, adding to his increasingly powerful frame.

As the transformation progressed, Leo found that it was getting increasingly harder to stand upright, his Arcanine waiting beside him to stop him from falling flat on his face. The fur turned a deep black along his front, though it wouldn't be visible for the most part due to what would be growing in later. A tugging sensation could be felt in his spine, the human having to lean further forwards against his Pokémon, slowly lowering himself to the ground just in time for a long tail to work its way outwards, covered in thick, creamy fur, the new limb swaying about behind him.

"You're really coming along nicely!" Shade chimed in, watching Leo's hind quarters swell with muscle, hips and thighs realigning to better suit a quadrupedal build. "Of course, I have a feeling that the part of the change that your soon-to-be partner is waiting for will probably be the most intense part of it~"

"Heh, well I don't quite know how long we plan to be sticking around here for, well, at least not at this moment in time!" He told her, trying to pull out to no avail.

"It'd probably be best to stay here for as long as your Arcanine is in heat. Also because you're going to need to clear things up with your other Pokémon!"

"Oh yeah!" He looked at his belt, at the two remaining Poké Balls. He knew that they'd be asking quite a few questions about their trainer, and thankfully he'd be able to answer them, given he was still able to talk. "When do you think will be best to explain to them?"

"I'd say do it at a time where you're not knot-locked in your partner!" She smirked, causing him to blush.

"Ah... of course..." He would have rubbed the back of his head with his forepaw, if he was able to. "How long does it normally take to be able to dismount?"

"It'll be a little bit. Pray she's not ready to go again when you're finally able to pull free!" She teased further, the female growling seducingly to him.

"This is gonna be a loooong night!" He laughed.
