Henken Kessei Ch I: Forced Transformation
Zak was walking to his writing class. As usual, he was in a really depressive mood since the almost torturous dream of him and Giran. He had seen Giran everyday since then and it pained him to know that there was no way Giran would feel affection for an alligator, much less a male alligator. As Zak kept running thoughts through his head, someone approached him from behind and put their claw on his shoulder. Being a slightly paranoid alligator morph, Zak gripped the wrist and twisted to where the morph's arm was held behind its back. "Well," chuckled the cloaked morph, "You will be a perfect subject to put through the trials." Zak tilted his head to the side, a wave of confusion rushing into his mind. "What do you mean by that? What trials?" The morph removed his hood with his free claw, revealing the furry head of a fox morph. His voice cut through the air like the sharpest knife, "The trials cannot be spoken about in the public. We must escort you back to the labs for testing. This is a grand opportunity for you..." The fox was cut off by a chuckle that escaped Zak's scaly lips. "Like I'm gonna go with you, whom I don't know, to participate in trials and tests that I have not the slightest clue about. No, you can go con someone else into your little gam..." Zak did not complete the sentence for the slight groan he let out from the feeling of something piercing his upper shoulder. He released the fox as he reached up and removed a silver tranquilizer from his leathery hide. He looked to the fox before falling to the ground in a deep slumber. The fox chuckled as two raptor morphs walked up, picked Zak up by the arms and carried him to a black limo. "I'm sorry, Mr. Tsukishiro, but you really have no choice in the matter. I'm sure you and the other subject will make excellent progress in the trials." From somewhere near where Zak was taken, Giran yelled and fell from being shot with a tranquilizer similar to the one Zak was shot with. "Yes, you'll both do very well."
Zak grunted as he was awoken by a loud click and bright lights pouring into his vision. He shook his head and tried to open his eyes, but the lights hovering above his head kept him from so much as squinting. Zak went to move his hand, only to find that he could not move an inch. He felt something holding his wrist down, seemingly cold and very hard. Suddenly, there was a multitude of voices around him and within minutes, the lights were moved from his face. Upon opening his eyes, Zak looked around to see that a large number of furs in white lab coats had congregated around him. Out of all the furs in the room, one stood out to Zak more than any other. His eyes stayed locked on a fox with brown fur, the same fox that approached him on campus before he was taken. The fox trotted up to the table where the alligator was restrained and held his hands up to where Zak could see them. He pulled down one sleeve opening, then the other. "Nothing up this sleeve...and nothing up this sleeve." He suddenly moves his paws quickly and a silver syringe with a clear substance inside appears in his paws. "Great," Zak sighs, "I've got a smartass for a captor." The fox scolded before getting an evil smile on his face. "Do you even know what is in this syringe, Mr. Tsukishiro?" the fox asked with a smart tone. Zak shrugged his shoulders to the best of his abilities, "Some type of clear liquid?" The fox chuckles evilly before holding the syringe just mere inches from Zak's face. "It's called Henkan Kessei. It is a prototype drug that was created for the soul purpose of changing furs from one species to another." The fox spins the syringe in his paw as he laughs, "And you get to be the very first fur we try it on." With a quick hand motion, the fox grabs the syringe and stabs it into Zak's arm, injecting the clear fluid into Zak's bloodstream. The fox removed the syringe and motioned to another fur in a computer room. The sound of a loud hiss sounded then the restrains that held Zak's limbs released. Suddenly, there was a loud cracking sound that filled the room. Zak rolled off of the table and landed on the ground on his claws and knees. The sound that was heard came from him...well, inside him. He gasped and yelled out as another crack came from his torso, then another and another. With each crack, Zak's body morphed. It grew a little taller, standing exactly 5'7" to his previous 5'5", his once green skin had become rigid scales that were onyx in color, he had two massive wings sprout from his back, he grew white colored hair that reached his wing joints, and two horns grew from his head. When he stood, Zak was no longer an alligator. That serum that the fox had injected him with had transformed him in an anthropomorphic dragon. As Zak looked around the room, all the scientists began to clap. The fox had a type of look on his face that screamed 'I am a genius.' from what Zak could tell. The fox quickly approached the newly formed Zak and grinned, "Well, how do you feel, Mr. Tsukishiro?" Zak raised his eye ridges, "Who is Tsukishiro? My name is Kaien Kami, or Kaien for short." The fox chuckled, "Good. Now, we need to find something for you to..." Kaien interrupted the fox's speaking with a cough, "You didn't let me finish. Though I can't remember my original name, I remember that you were the one who kidnapped me from my school and you're the one who injected me with that Henkan Kessei. I will say congratulations on the serum working and thanks, but I'll be going now." Kaien turned and grabbed his personal effects, but the fox grabbed his shoulder, "You should know that we cannot just let you leave, Mr. Kami. We still need to run some tests..." Kaien turned back around to say something, but there was a yell from outside the room, followed by the sound of something being thrown up against the wall. "I said get that damn needle away from me!!" yelled a voice in the next room. "Wait..." Kaien said, "I recognize that voice."
Kaien ran to the door and opened it, only to find two raptor morphs standing guard, both armed with one Walter PPK and a M16. They turned and took aim at Kaien, telling him to go back into the room. There was another scream and that drove Kaien's rage he felt for the scientists into overdrive. He growled then grabbed the tip of one of the M16s and snatched it, spun it in his claw, and hit both the raptors on the side of the head, knocking them unconscious. He grabbed one of the Walter PPKs then ran into the next room. Kaien opens the door to see two more raptor guards and a rabbit fur about to inject some of the Henkan Kessei in a larger dragon's arm. They were unsuccessful in restraining the larger dragon, so the guards had come in to try and hold him down. Kaien held the PPK up and aimed at the rabbit, pulling the trigger and shooting the syringe out of her hand. The two raptors drew their weapons and took aim at Kaien, one discharging his weapon and shooting Kaien in the right shoulder. Kaien yells and falls to one knee, gripping his wounded shoulder as blood poured out. The raptors steadied themselves to finish off Kaien, only to have their heads bashed together by the larger dragon. The dragon quickly moved beside Kaien, kneeling down to examine the wound. "Here, let me look at your shoulder.." Kaien grunted at the pain, "Gi..ran." he managed to say before the door in the back of the room opened and revealed more guards. As they took aim at the two dragons, the fox from before walked into the room and held his paw up. "Hold your fire, men." He smiled as the raptors kept their sights on Kaien and Giran but did not fire. "Now now now...Mr. Kami and Mr. Giran, won't you stop your infernal running and just give up. If you do not, then I will have no choice but to have you exterminated. And I know that you don't want that now do you?" Kaien tried to say something, but the pain excelled all of the sudden, causing him to cry some. One single tear ran from his eye to the tip of his muzzle. When the tear fell and landed on the ground below them, it turned black and the ground seemed to be consumed by darkness. The swirling black quickly enveloped both himself and Giran and with one swift movement, it compressed with the two inside and faded away. "Wha...DAMNIT KAIEN!!" the fox screamed as he stomped his hind paw on the ground. "That fucking bitch figured out about his dark powers." He turned to the raptors with an evil glare in his eyes, "Hunt them down and bring Kaien back to me...Kill the other! Now...GO!!" The raptors scattered as they left to hunt down the dragons. "Well Mr. Kami...you just made this into a little game of hide and seek, and how I love games. So ready or not...Here I Come!!"
Meanwhile, near a small lake in the middle of a secluded forest, a pool of darkness formed a few feet from the edge of the lake. The darkness expanded as two shapes took form inside. Then, as quickly as it appeared, the darkness vanished into nothing, leaving both Kaien and Giran in the same positions they were in whilst in the labs. Giran quickly looked around, trying to get an understanding of what had transpired. He was quickly jerked back to reality at the sound of Kaien's sobbing. Giran moved Kaien's claw from his shoulder, revealing that he had a quarter sized wound from the gunshot he took. "Damn," Giran whispered, "They must have been using anti-dragon rounds. They were well prepared in case something like this happened." Kaien let out a loud grunt-infused sob before Giran realized that he needed to calm Kaien down. Putting one claw under Kaien's muzzle, Giran lifted Kaien's head to where their eyes met, Kaien's eyes were still filled with tears. "It's ok bud. I'll see what I can do to help you get fixed up. Just calm down ok?" It didn't take Kaien long to realize what was going on as he started blushing at the fact that Giran was not only so close to him, but that he was actually touching him. "Um..." Kaien stuttered, "Umm, than..k you." Giran raised an eye ridge at the way the smaller dragon was acting. "Well," said Giran, "You act just like him..." Kaien feels his heart skip a beat at the comment Giran made. "Umm, may I ask...who do I act like? Kaien asked with a slightly hopeful look on his face. Giran sighed and started to speak, only to be cut off by the sound of a snapping twig. He crouched down next to Kaien and started to scan the forest around them for movement. Kaien looked over behind Giran, then noticed a small red dot on his back, just below the left wing joint. Moving as quickly as his body would allow, Kaien moved in the path of the laser just as the sound of a rifle firing filled the air. He closed his eyes, expecting to feel a massive jolt of pain to his chest, but there was no such pain. He slowly opened his eyes to see the bullet floating just mere inches from his chest. It was being held in place by a strange form of black light. Kaien looked up the path the bullet had taken, just barely seeing the raptor that fired the gun. Suddenly, the bullet left from Kaien's chest and followed the path back to the guard, striking him in his shoulder. Giran moved to where he was in front of Kaien, looking into his eyes. "Hey, are you ok?" Suddenly, there was a loud sound and the ground underneath the raptor ripped open, a black line pulling the ground apart. The raptor fell into the fissure as it closed back shut and the black light vanished. Giran looked back at Kaien, his sapphire irises spinning like wheels. His irises slow to a stop and Kaien collapses into Giran's arms, falling unconscious from the pain.
