This is my first ever uploaded story and I'm worried about what everyone will think. It started out as a birthday gift story for Lilsprout and with his permission (since it's about him) and vote of confdence, I decided to turn it into a series. Also I extremely dislike writing diologue despite there being so much in this story so whatever, but if you think the dilogue is lacking then that's why. All comments and criticism is greatly accepted.

Have fun reading, I hope.

edit: Added a small paragraph when he first gets to school for better transition. Tell me if it adds a little more to the story for anyone new reading this or even someone who has read the original, please.

*alarm begins to buzz*

"Ugh, why did morning have to come so fast, and the dream was just getting to the good part." Said a voice from under a sheet on top of the bed.

A light blue clawed hand comes out from under the sheet and hits the alarm firmly, turning it off.

"Well at least today is Halloween." The person says as they throw the sheet off their body and begins to get out of bed.

The person begins to walk towards the bathroom but soon notices that his feet feel heavier for some reason, like he's walking with weights around his ankles. Being too tired to think about his feet anymore, the person reaches the bathroom door which is connected to his room as he sluggishly pushes open the door and walks inside.

"Why did I have to wake up with such a bad headache?" The person asks himself as he reaches for his toothbrush and squeezes toothpaste out onto the head of the brush.

As the person brings his hand holding the toothbrush closer to his mouth, he feels the brush hit his mouth a lot sooner than he expected it too.

"What the?" The person says being surprised with the cold feeling of toothpaste against his face.

He wonders why the toothbrush hit his face sooner than where he knows where his mouth should be, until he turns around and looks up into the mirror above the sink. The person then sees the face of a light blue dragon standing exactly where he was standing.

"Gah, what's that?" The person asks out loud as he jumps back against the wall, but instead of feeling all of his back hit the cold wall, he only feels his upper back touch the wall.

The person then reaches a hand down behind him and instead of feeling his lower back just above his butt, he feels a tail sticking out of his body and continues all the way down to the floor.

"This can't be good." The person says with fear in his voice as he looks behind himself.

As his head turns around, his eyes begin to follow a black tail which is slightly thicker than his arm, coming out of his lower back. He then finally notices that he's feeling more of a breeze where his boxers should be covering up. He quickly looks down and sees that he doesn't have any boxers on anymore and is completely nude.

"I'm sure glad no one has seen me yet, or this could be embarrassing." He chuckles t0 himself.

He then looks back up into the mirror and sees the dragon in the mirror again, only this time the person is finally starting to realize that the dragon in the mirror was him. After spending 15 years as a normal human he was now apparently supposed to deal with living as a dragon. He started to model in the mirror getting a good look at himself trying to get used to this new look. As he turned around and looked at himself in different positions in the mirror, he saw a dragon with a sky blue muzzle and it continued all the way down to his male region but from his knees down to his foot paws were midnight black. When he turned around he noticed it was all black, including the top part of his tail while the underside was the sky blue color. After looking at himself in the mirror for five minutes he started to feel an itch on his back and because of his shorter clawed paws he couldn't reach far enough to scratch the itch.

"Aw come on, what use are these claws for if I can't reach the itch to scratch it." He groaned out as he continued to stretch his right paw behind his back. Eventually he finally reached the itch and gladly scratched it away but while he was scratching he felt something on his back. When he reached back to pick off whatever was on his back he noticed it was a black wing that he was pulling on.

"Sweet, I have wings too." He said.

He then let go of the wing and started to concentrate hard on extending both of his wings out fully. Soon he felt his wings push out from his back but he didn't know how far out they would extend; consequentially, he accidentally knocked off his shampoo bottle and many other things making a huge mess.

"Oops, guess I got to be careful when I bring these things out." He said laughing a little. Just then he heard a knock on his bedroom door.

"Breakfast is ready dear, come down soon." He heard his mom say through the door.

"Coming down soon mom." He quickly replied back.

The person then left the bathroom trying to get used to his new heavy feet paws as he then opened his closet looking at his collection of many sets of clothes. He then pulled out a dark blue shirt and tried to fit his long muzzle through the head hole. Eventually after moving his muzzle around a little he was able to get his head and muzzle through; unfortunately, when he tried to pull the rest of the shirt down he started to hear a tearing sound. He then realized that due to the fact that he now had wings that even when folded up still took up quite a bit of room, and that he now had a bigger and wider chest, his shirts would no longer fit him. With a dejected look on his face, the person slowly pulled the shirt off, once again maneuvering his muzzle around so he could get out of the restricted space and then tossing the shirt over onto his bed.

"My pants and boxers probably won't fit me either." He said to himself looking down at his larger thighs to accommodate for his new draconic body and then remembering his tail that obviously none of his pants were made with that in mind.

'This feels so strange going out like this, but there's nothing I can do about it right now.' He thought to himself as he took a deep breath and slowly opened his bedroom door, looking back and forth down the hall making sure his sister and parents weren't around to see him yet.

Seeing no one around, the person quietly walked out of his room with just his draconic body and zero clothes on. He slowly closes the door trying not to make a sound, as a sign being held up by a piece of tape falls down to the ground. The person quickly picks up the sign while silently reading it to himself.

'Adam's room, keep out or face the perils within' He read.

"Heh why do I even have this anymore, I'm 16 now and I still have a sign on my door from back when I was 8." He laughed quietly.

"Adam honey, we're all waiting for you, it's time for breakfast." His mom said loudly from downstairs.

"Oh yeah it's my birthday, completely forgot." He quickly said as he rushed down the stairs heading for the kitchen. Suddenly he stopped realizing something.

'What if all of this happened because of my birthday. But why?' He asked himself as he resumed heading towards the kitchen getting ready try out his plan.

"Mom?" He called into the kitchen while leaning against the wall separating him from his family, prolonging his plan for as long as possible.

"Yes honey, is everything ok?" His mom asked.

Yeah, it's just that I decided on wearing a costume for school today. The only thing is I can't take it off without messing it up so is it ok if I eat breakfast with it on?" He asked, worried that his mom might say no.

"Of course dear, let's see this costume then." She said while Adam quietly let out the breath he was holding in.

"Ok, here...it...is." He said as he slowly moved away from behind the wall and into his kitchen in front of his family.

He then heard everyone gasp and the room became dead silent for what felt like ages. Luckily for Adam, his dad was first to say something after the look of his "costume" had sunk in.

"Very nice son, looks pretty expensive though." His dad said with a hint of worry in his voice.

"No I didn't buy it, I made it, that's why I've been in my room for so long." Adam quickly replied back.

"It's amazing dear, it looks so real." His mom said as she got up and pulled out a chair for Adam to sit in.

"Yeah little bro, looks like you worked really hard to make that." Charlee, his sister added.

"Thanks everyone." Adam said while silently sighing with relief that no one saw past his ruse as he sat down in the chair him mom pulled out.

Once he sat down he saw everyone looking him with wide smiles on their faces as him mom got up and went towards the fridge and pulled something out and hid it behind her back.

"Well considering what today is, I thought we could throw the rule of no sweets for breakfast and have this." His mom said as she pulled a two layer cake from behind her back and set it in front of Adam on the table.

"What's today?" Adam asked forgetting that it was his birthday again.

"Your birthday idiot." His sister remarked quickly.

"Be nice to your brother, it's his special day, especially since he's 16 today." His dad said giving Adam's sister a disappointed look and then looking back towards Adam with a smile.

"Oh yeah, heh, sorry that I forgot again." Adam said chuckling a little.

Once pieces of the cake were distributed to everyone at the table, Adam carefully picked up a fork with his paw and once he got some cake on the fork slowly brought it to his face trying not to mess up and get cake on his muzzle. After a couple tries and a few close calls he finally got the hang of it and finished the slice of cake quickly and was about to get some more until his mom pulled the cake away and walked off towards the fridge with it.

"Aw mom, one more slice please?" Adam asked sweetly trying his best to imitate puppy dog eyes.

"Nope, one slice is enough for now, when you get home from school you can have some more." His mom said as she placed the cake back into the fridge and smiled at him happily.

Eating the sweet cake helped Adam forget that he had school but after his mom reminded him, the smile that he had over his muzzle immediately returned to a worried look because his plan may have worked with his family, but the hundreds of people at school were going to be a lot harder to convince.

"At least it's Halloween. I hope this works." He said to himself as he walked away from his house towards school with his backpack uncomfortably strapped to his back pressing hard against his wings.

Eventually after a few minutes of walking, he got to school, his mind's imagination finally giving up on trying to worry him about how everyone else will act once they see him. On school grounds he hid behind a tree, looking around for his closest friends hoping that if anyone would be understanding of his situation, they would be the best choice. To his dismay he eventually saw his friends, the only problem was they were on the opposite side of the building talking in their small group. For a few minutes Adam stayed behind the tree breathing deeply and trying to calm himself down, it didn't work. Eventually he willed himself to step away from behind the tree and slowly he started walking towards his friends hoping that no one would pay any attention to him. Fate must have smiled upon Adam because to his relief he was able to make it to his group of friends without anyone noticing a blue and black dragon walking around the school building.

"If I wasn't a dragon right now this would be like any other day, no one ever pays attention around here." Adam muttered under his breath.

"What was that?" One of his friends asked as the entire group turned around and looked at who was standing behind them.

"Oh uh nothing, so how's it going guys?" Adam asked nervously as he looked at all of his friends.

"Pretty good, so you decided on wearing a costume after all I see?" Ryan replied, Adam's afro haired friend.

"Yeah I thought we all agreed on not wearing anything today?" Ignacio, one of Adam's friends asked.

"Heh yeah sorry about that, it's just I had worked so hard on making this, I couldn't not wear this, I mean look at it." Adam said, hoping that would continue to believe that he was wearing a costume.

"Yeah I understand man, it does look pretty cool, you should enter in the contest today since you worked so hard to make it." Logan, another one of Adam's friends said while the rest of the group nodded, agreeing with the suggestion.

'Hmm I forgot about the contest, maybe I should enter, though wouldn't it be cheating?' He asked himself while his friends went back to their previous conversation about what they did over the weekend.

'I don't care if it's cheating or not, which it shouldn't be, I'm entering in the contest anyway.' Adam decided, ending his argument with himself and then joining in on his friends' conversation. During the conversation though, Adam failed to notice a certain afro haired friend glancing towards him getting a closer look at Adam's "costume"

To Adam's relief the first half of the day went well without too many incidents, the worse being that he had trouble figuring out where he should rest his tail once he sat in his chair; eventually deciding on placing it his lap making sure no one would step on it. Due to it being Halloween, half of the people in school were wearing costumes which everyone just assumed Adam was wearing also, much to his relief. Eventually it was lunchtime and then the rest of the day would be spent with the costume contest that his school held, but priorities first, Adam was starving.

"Man am I hungry." Adam said to himself as he walked into the large lunchroom, seeing everyone go their usual tables and talking amongst their groups.

After Adam reached and picked up various items of food, he joined his group of friends at a table off in the corner. Although when he sat down and finally looked at what he had picked up, he was very surprised with what he saw.

"Wow that's a lot of meat man; I thought you rarely ate meat?" Ignacio asked after the group took a look at Adam's lunch tray, which was covered with various sandwiches all containing different types of meat that the school served.

"Heh yeah, I guess I just felt like trying something new today." Adam said chuckling lightly

'He has a point though, I haven't eaten meat in like a month, not because I'm a vegetarian but just because I don't like eating it so much; so then why the heck would I take everything meat related that the school served today?' He asked himself as he looked down at his tray again.

Trying not to think much of it, Adam slowly reached out and picked up what looked like a pastrami sandwich hoping that it would be at least somewhat tasty. When he finally took a bite though his eyes opened wide with amazement as he quickly finished eating the sandwich and then moved on to the other various meals he had placed onto his tray.

"Welcome to the world of meat eating Adam." Logan joked while patting Adam on his left shoulder.

"This stuff is amazing I should get more." Adam mumbled through his bites of various sandwiches not wanting to take a break from this amazing meal.

"Slow down man, you might go in some type of meat shock or something if you keep eating so fast." Ignacio said beginning to have a worried look on his face as the group continued to watch Adam ravenously eat his meal like he hadn't eaten in days.

"Can't *takes a deep breath* meat too good." Adam said as he finished eating his meal that would have fed all four of them.

Logan and Ignacio continued to give Adam weird looks as Adam sat back in his chair finally letting all the food he ate digest while he slowly played with his tail. What everyone else failed to notice though was that Ryan was now intently looking at Adam slowly putting things together. Once Adam felt like he wasn't about to explode anymore he was about to get up but just then the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch and a 15 minute break period for everyone to get ready for the costume contest.

"Aw I wanted to have more food." Adam said dejectedly as he started to walk over to drop his tray off for cleaning.

"Hey guys, me and Adam are going to help him practice his routine for the contest ok, save me a seat when I come back alright?" Ryan said quickly as he got up and was about to walk towards where Adam went.

"Yeah sure thing, just look for us near the middle row. Logan said as they got up and began to walk towards the exit of the cafeteria.

"Hey Adam, there's some things I think we should talk about before the contest." Ryan said as he grabbed Adam's arm and pulled him off towards an empty classroom.

"But I was going to practice." Adam said, surprised by Ryan's sudden actions.

"Yeah well I think this might be a bit more important than some school costume contest." Ryan said as he leaned in close to Adam's right ear making sure no one would over hear them.

"I know your secret and I can help you." Ryan whispered into Adam's ear as he pulled Adam into a classroom and locked the door behind them.
