Chapter Seven
#7 of Saphira and Byzil
Saphira and Byzil decided to spend the day together. They gave Eragon a heart-felt goodbye until a new day, and flew southward to the Hadarac Desert; a perfect place to be alone. Saphira enjoyed the sun and so did Byzil so they knew it would be perfect for the two of them. They arrived late at night and landed near an oasis. They took a large drink to satisfy their thirst. _"This looks like a good spot Saphira."_Byzil said. Saphira agreed and they laid down next to each other to rest their aching bodies. Saphira leaned over and brought Byzil in for a kiss to show that she truly loved her. Byzil accepted the kiss and began to rub Saphira's scaly body. As they landed inside an oasis, he landed on the opposite side, hidden by the dense plant life. He moved towards their direction silently and watched them from a safe distance. As he peered over the dense plants, he watched in shock as they mated. He knew it was wrong and disgraceful, but he couldn't help but be jealous for his old mate. Firnen felt his scar across his eye as tears fell from his reptilian eyes. _I will make this up to her... somehow. _He silently made his way out of the oasis and leaped to the skies,flying to the dense green forests in the distance, hoping to find something for Saphira.
