Walk a Mile: Covert Ops: Tawny
By Von Krieger
Tawny's orange and black body quivered with each sob that escaped the tigress' throat and was reduced to a mere sigh by the thick, phallic plug gag crammed into her mouth. She hung in the air, suspended by her wrists and ankles which had been bound behind her back, leaving her in a terribly uncomfortable position about a foot off the floor. A rather sizable puddle had formed beneath her. The low, throbbing vibrators stuffed in her rump and pussy and clipped to her cock and nipples kept her on the edge of climax, but never allowing her to go over.
Thick precum oozed from both her sexes, and a similar fluid dripped from each of her four breasts, thick black nipples glistening in the harsh florescent lights of the lab. A full immersion headset covered her eyes and plugged into the tigress' cyberlink. She likely didn't even feel the discomfort of her contorted body, the artificial sensations that were being fed into the cybernetic enhancement to her brain overrode them.
She had been hanging there for hours, and she would hang for hours more until she finally broke down and completed the program that was forced upon her. Sexual training, how to pleasure males, females, herms, and alien genders that had no words in the common tongue, dozens of species and races. All that knowledge had been implanted in her to use, but that wasn't the program's primary purpose.
It was to break her, to make her submit, to make her willingly trade away her past existence after being kept on the edge of ecstasy for so long that she would be willing to give up her very identity, her sense of self, for a single, blissful release.
Her name had not been Tawny before, she had not been brought into existence as a tigress, nor had she lived her life as a hermaphrodite. She had been a small, lithe, domestic cat, she had been male, and she could no longer remember her name from before.
She clung to the few remaining scraps of what was left of her old self and refused to let them go. The persona alteration program had been running for sixteen hours, and it was starting to worry the project's overseer.
Kriegan watched the monitors, nibbling her bottom lip. The renegade Leiaou's tailtip twitched nervously. The longest any of the others had ever been in the program had been ten hours. Her own recommendations were to terminate it at twelve hours, but they had been ignored by her boss.
Truthfully, he was her owner. Unlike poor Tawny, Kriegan wasn't a literal slave, but she was a captive who was forced to carry out the will of her captor or suffer the consequences.
She was considered freakish by the standards of her race, not even topping six feet in height, a scant one hundred pounds, no breasts to speak of, a very frail build, and hair that continued down her neck and onto her chest and shoulders in a thick mane. She was almost a complete throwback to the extinct Leiaou male, a dead weight her race had cast off once genetic engineering allowed for the much larger and intelligent females to attain the only bits of the male that mattered.
As a result Kriegan had been closely watched for her entire career, and an error that would have been quickly forgiven in any other Leiaou body conversion specialist had blacklisted her from the field forever.
Morgoth had approached her and utilized her services to enhance several members of his criminal empire. Kriegan had needed the money, but when she had tried to end their business relationship, she found her prior illegal acts hung over her head, the dragon threatening to expose her to Leiaou authorities.
She wouldn't be imprisoned, she wouldn't be fined, but she would find her life impossible to live. Her race would make sure that she would be unable to acquire any but the lowest, most demeaning, and most menial jobs. They would manipulate things so that she would never be able to live in decent housing. They would permanently mark her so that all Leiaou who laid eyes upon her would know that she was a betrayer of their race, and would not speak with her, or even acknowledge her presence.
Her birth record would be stricken from the archives and she would no longer be recognized as having received any sort of education from the Leiaou schools. They would scare off anyone she got close to as a potential mate or lover. They would make her life just barely tolerable enough to continue living. But there would be no hope left in here life. It wasn't a death sentence, but with the suicide rates, it might as well be.
"It's disgusting." She said to the tall, black scaled dragon, "You know I can simply block off her former personality with three hours' worth of work and have her programming perfectly in place."
Morgoth chuckled, "But it's more fun this way. They are truly broken and bound to my will. I make them embrace their new existence, and make them learn to love it. Simply making the body a cybernetic puppet is not worth my time. Making them tie their own strings, however, is much more satisfying."
Kriegan turned away in disgust. She hated what he did and what he made her do. But she had to keep going, had to keep obeying. Except for some design work, the processes were almost all automated now. Morgoth no longer truly needed her. What she had begun to fear more than anything was that one day she would find herself in the bleak, empty world of the training program, with only the simulated sensations of the construct to keep her from complete sensory deprivation. He could easily break her down and make her another of his sex toys.
She made no effort to hide her disgust or her disapproval at how he used her scientific skill. Submissiveness and meek acceptance would only identify her as a pet, and likely increase her odds of ending up in one of his brothels. Kriegan's small pieces of defiance earned her a small amount of respect from the dragon, which kept her safe.
"It's inefficient." She protested.
"It's the principle of the thing." Morgoth said in a tone of his low voice that meant to drop the subject.
He crouched in front of Tawny, taking care to avoid the puddle of her fluids, and pulled the visor from the tigress' eyes, removing the programming plug and pulling her back into the real world.
She moaned around the gag, muscles suddenly aching in extreme protest and their treatment. Blue eyes looked up at the dragon with fear, awe, and lustful desire.
"I thought I would give you an opportunity," Morgoth rumbled, "I can end your pain now. You can be free of your bounds, you no longer need to be frightened, you will no longer need to fight and resist, and your existence will be one of continual pleasure."
He reached down and pulled the gag from the tigress' mouth.
"Is it worth it? Holding onto a handful of minuscule pieces of a person that no longer exists? You will break in time, my kitten; you and I both know this. End your misery now and accept your fate."
He caressed the soft, tear stained fur of her cheek for a moment before reaching up to reinsert the program module. A soft, quiet sound escaped Tawny's throat.
"I didn't quite catch that?" said the draconian Mafioso.
"Make me yours, Master, please..." whispered Tawny, her head lolling, the last of the fight gone from her.
"Good girl." Morgoth said with a predatory grin as he flicked a switch on the module, granting Tawny her relief.

The tigress purred happily, stiff limbs and aching muscles massaged to only a low throb by the hands of her fellow Companions, Lamia 32, Patches 16, and Shimmer 3. Her own designation was Tawny 47. Each Companion was assigned to a particular room number from one to ten. The numbers after their names weren't official or used by their masters, but rather between one another.
Tawny was the fourth Companion to occupy room 7, its previous occupant, a snow leopard named Freckles, had been sent away. None of them were sure if that was good or bad. Room 7 was the only one that had a fourth occupant.
They only worked the rooms, though; they all lived in a single large room with some beds, a few couches, and a few scant personal possessions, most of which had been gifts from customers.
"Tawny?" asked Patches, a chimera, "Do you know why we all cry and hurt when we're born?"
The tigress blinked a few times and shook her head. "I remember being sad and lonely and afraid, but I dun remember why." She said in her purring, bubbly, voice.
"Do you know how it happensss?" Lamia hissed, serpentine tongue flicking out into the air, "We have sssex all the time, but never have babiesss."
Tawny shook her head, "I dun remember anything 'cept stepping out of Master's office to meet all of you. Sorry. 'N if we dun have babies, why is Cora's tummy so big?" she pointed to the large bovine resting on a couch across the room, her belly big enough to contain another Companion.
"She's always been like that." Said Shimmer, a latex skunk and the smartest and oldest of the Companions, "I think we're made, not born like babies. Made for our jobs here, Cora's made for pregnancy and lactation fetishists, I'm made to fulfill domination/submission and rubber fetishes, Hailey is for both the muscle and hyper lovers, and the rest of us are hermaphrodites of common species. I bet if you got to take a look at the other Companionship places Master runs you'd see others that were designed for specific roles like that and... uh... Tawny? You're crying again."
The tigress put a hand to her face, feeling the fresh tears soaking her fur, "I dunno why, it's not like I have any reason to be sad.

Months later...
Tawny held her client tightly against her four breasts, enjoying the feeling the fox's soft, white fur against her. She purred and petted him, enjoying their time together.
He was unique amongst her collection of repeat customers, in that the cuddling seemed to be what he paid for, as in the two hour block he always purchased, there was typically intercourse only at the beginning.
The rest of the time he either rested in her arms, or took an active interest in pleasuring her. It was strange to Tawny, it was her job to make him feel good, but she would do as her client wished, it was what her master was being paid for, after all.
"So how has it been going?" she asked quietly, the fox talked to her about his business in the city every week that he came by. He was looking for somebody, a friend that had been abducted. Tawny felt sorry for him, she couldn't imagine what it would be like to lose a friend.
In her short life there hadn't been any changes to the roster of companions at her location, so the other nine engineered creatures were all the friends that she'd ever had. She couldn't imagine what it would be like if one of them was sent away.
She also had a fondness for Kriegan, the tiny Leiaou who had made them. The small cat herm was like their mother in a way, but she was always distant and sad. She spent a lot of time with the companions, she ate with them, slept with them, the only difference between them seemed to be that the room Kriegan went to for work wasn't able to be paid for by the public, and her jobs weren't paid for in fifteen minute blocks.
Tawny had started to leave Kriegan space, rather than try to cheer her up. The harder the companions tried to make her happy, the more upset Kriegan seemed to get until she would start crying and have to retreat to her lab.
The tigress wondered if there was something she had done wrong to upset Kriegan, but every time she asked, it just seemed to make the Leiaou sad.
She was really confusing, Tawny found her clients' needs and feeling quite simple in comparison. They craved sexual release in all sorts of different fashions. Some liked to go quickly, others slowly, some taking advantage of her male parts, others her female aspects, it was a rare few that enjoyed both, and fewer still that would go all the way.
Drake, the fox, was one of those few.
"I've got about a dozen candidates, but it's going to require extensive genetic testing to be sure." He said, "Used the last of my savings to get a high-end scanner bit of cyberware installed."
Tawny nodded, "Has it been working?"
The fox shrugged, "It works, but with all the DNA modifications that were done, I have to have it running on high power. It eats up a lot of my CPU's processing power, it's very tiring. I don't even know if I'm doing this the right way. I mean he could've been changed into a completely different species. And I don't even know if I'm on the right track. I would've thought that even with alterations to the mind that I'd be recognized somehow."
Tawny nodded and ran her fingers through the fox's short black hair, rather liking the feeling of the short bristles. She had a fondness for clients with military haircuts.
"Miss Kriegan says that in the right, or wrong, hands cybernetic and genetic mods can be a very powerful thing. You get top of the line equipment and a very skilled technician and you can just about make a person vanish and make a new one. There's a good reason why that's illegal and that the Leiaou organizations do very nasty things."
Drake nodded, snuggling up a bit closer to Tawny, the lithe, short fox turning around and wedging his head between Tawny's breasts. The tigress purred in delight, as she enjoyed petting his front. She slid a large, padded handpaw down to his groin, purring as she coaxed his shaft back to full arousal.
"So is your missing friend a mercenary too?" she asked, rather curious.
The fox sighed happily as Tawny stroked him, "Kind of." He said, "Ter wasn't born into it, or got in through auction from one of the orphanages. He was a mission coordinator; he'd be the one that sent us information. We would've loved to have gone out on the missions, but he had a genetic bone disorder, and the alteration used to fix it made it incompatible with the bone and muscle enhancements that our company used. But even though he couldn't ever come out into battle with us, he was still our comrade."
Tawny began to pick up her pace of stroking, making the fox squirm and buck into her handpaw.
"Though I bet he never made you feel good like this, now did he?" the feline purred.
"A-actually..." Drake said, beginning to pant, "We dated for awhile when I went undercover for six months and had to have my gender altered."
Tawny giggled, "I can't imagine you looking like a girl with that stubby hair."
"Growth accelerated while I was in the tube!" Drake protested, "I made a very cute girl! Too cute, I guess."
"And why is that?"
"Well, once I was male again, we tried dating still, but it wasn't quite the same. We weren't as intimate, though we still had fun on occasion, when one of us needed a little pick me up, or wanted some fun." Drake admitted, his fur turning a shade of pink.
"Oooh, what's that?" Tawny asked, curious.
Drake's fur turned even redder; "Th... that's someone's idea of a joke. My fur can change color so I can camouflage myself. When I get embarrassed my fur goes pink, and eventually red."
"Well, now that you're all pink, I think you could make a very pretty girl." Tawny teased, "You're already so lithe, soft, and androgynous. I think we'd have lots of fun if your were a girl, or a herm."
Drake cried out softly as he climaxed, sending a jet of seed nearly across the room.
"Oh my," Tawny said, awed, "You must be really, really tense, especially for someone that comes here for a couple hours every week for fun."
The formally white fox was now a shade of fire engine red, "Sorry, it's just that looking for Ter has got me really wound tight."
Tawny scooted back so she could lean down and nuzzle Drake's neck, "We have massages available here too. Hailey is..."
Drake shuddered, "Hailey is eight feet tall and has a tree between her legs. She's too intimidating for me, even just for massage. But I don't think I'll need it. Pretty soon I'll either find my friend, or I'll run out of money trying."
Tawny nodded and gave the fox a gentle kiss, "I hope you find him." She said, hugging the fox tightly.
"And I'm sorry to say that our time is just about up." She said with a sad sigh, "You're different than most of my clients. You're one of the few that talks to me like a real person, not just a companion, even though that's what I am."
Drake shrugged, "You're a person too, Tawny. Not matter how you came into the world you're no different from anybody else."
The tigress stretched and stood, "Maybe we learn how to be people eventually, but I don't think I'd cope well outside of here. I don't know much about anything but how to pleasure other people, and I've heard that some brothels can be kind of... scary."
"I think there is a good reason why companions have to be a few years old before the government says they can be free. I'm only a few months old, Drake, and I don't think I've ever been outside the building."
She shuddered, "And just thinking about doing that gives me the creeps. That's not normal behavior for a person, is it?"
The fox thought about it for a moment and then shook his head, "No, I guess not. Though there are some people like that, it's considered a mental illness."
Tawny smiled, "See? I'd make a pretty defective person, but I'm probably pretty normal for a companion. While my mind may not be too good, out of the ten of us here, I'm the only one that could pass for a natural born individual, rather than someone with extensive modding."
Drake chuckled, "Though you also have to take into account that there are some people that have extensive modding that look just like normal people. Like me; I don't think there's some bit of me that hasn't be tweaked for undercover, surveillance, or military scouting applications. Out of the two of us, I'm probably more engineered than you are."
The tigress laughed, "You'll have to show me some of those next time. Can you make anything else turn colors? Or add strawberry flavoring?"
As Tawny turned to leave the room the fox once more found himself sporting bright red fur.
