Magical Mistakes
#12 of Old Standalone Stories
This is one of my more popular stories. It started off as a little something inspired by two or three image series by different artists, one by Blyzzard, one by Duo Radon/Squeakie... not sure what they go by properly... and a third I cannot recall right at the moment. After I finished it and posted it, there was such a strong positive reaction I bowed to public pressure and wrote a sequel. Please note, that is not always going to be the case.
At this point, I'm sure you can see a defined pattern emerging in the sort of things I enjoy writing about. I hope you enjoy them as well.

A light slap stung Jake's cheek as he stirred; the darkness fading as he slowly came round under the less than tender attentions of some unknown individual.
"Hey! Wake up!"
The voice was unfamiliar. The young man groaned softly as his hand lifted to cup over the slightly pink tinge of the side of his face only to have the other side struck in the same harmless manner.
"I'm awake already! Sheesh! Enough with the hitting!" The sight he woke to left him speechless. Looking down over him was a creature of curious design. Horns of black curved smoothly up and back in a short, sharp angle from a scale-covered skull colored a fiery red. Two brilliant yellow eyes stared down at him from above as his vision focused on the beast trying to rouse him. A few locks of chocolate-colored hair tickled his nose, drawing out a light desire to sneeze which was easily ignored. For several moments, he simply viewed the odd red thing looking down at him before the silence was broken.
"What? Ya never seen a dragon before?" The strange beast sounded rather annoyed by the human's lack of worldly experience, somehow already aware of how he was going to answer. The young man shook his head to answer what sounded decidedly like a her, "Well get used to it. Until I can figure out just what the hell happened here, you're gonna be stuck with me so you might as well get all your staring done with right now." She sat up and stood, turning to walk away. Jake's eyes followed her incredulously, unable to believe that the vision before him was real. He'd always been infatuated with the idea of dragons but they weren't real, only myth and legend, an argument he attempted to voice.
"This has got to be a dream. I've fallen backwards in my chair and hit my head and this is all just an elaborate dream. Yeah..."
The red dragoness turned back towards the young human, raising an eyebrow.
"And just what makes you say that?" She sounded almost as if she were offended by the notion.
"Well, you're a dragon."
Several seconds of silence ensued as the female before him crossed her arms in front of what he had yet to notice was quite the sizable bust.
"Yeah, and?"
He furrowed his brow lightly, not understanding why she didn't comprehend the meaning behind his statement.
"Dragons don't exist. They're mythical creatures found only in stories, movies, and video games. You can't be real because your kind doesn't really exist. Therefore, the only way you could possibly be here is if I'm imagining this and that means I'm unconscious." To him, the boy's logic was sound. However, it seemed to have no effect on the ruby woman before him. Several more seconds passed as the crimson lady stared blankly at the boy. Eventually, she rolled her eyes and turned back to the table she had been standing next to.
"I don't know what you've been smoking but you'd better knock it off. It'll fry your brain."
"I don't smoke anything. But I'm definitely going to lay off the week old left-over pizza. This dream is freaking weird. I've never seen a place like this before. It's like something out of a fantasy novel." Indeed it did appear as such. It was a great stone room lit by candles and torches. The furniture was of an old world style, aged but still amazingly sturdy and fashionable. At least it all worked together to fit in the magician's lab motif. The dragon before Jake rolled her eyes again, turning back around with a scroll in her hands, reading the text from it aloud. Once she reached the end of the parchment, she looked up at the youthful male, expecting some sort of result, grumbling after she realized nothing was going to happen.
"Alright, look, I'm only gonna say this once so listen up. This place is real. You're not dreaming and I'm not a figment of your imagination. I was working on a spell that would let me create a stable link between my realm and yours and it backfired. Instead of letting me enter your world and return at will, it created a sort of bubble that floated around your realm until it reached you just as it collapsed. The result was you were pulled through the breach. I'm tryin' ta figure out what happened so I can send you back." Her explanation was quite confusing but sound in the young man's mind for some reason. He furrowed his brow and walked over to the table where his hostess stood, the dragon rummaging around through the various papers before her.
"What do you mean 'a sort of bubble'? I don't see any high-tech gear around here that could bend space-time or generate a wormhole or anything. How can you connect two worlds without any equipment?" He reached out to take an apple-sized sphere of the deepest blue he had ever seen. In a flash, quick as lightning, the dragoness slapped his hand stingingly like a mother stopping a child from taking a cookie.
"Don't touch that! You've no idea what it can do! And I don't need any of your 'high-tech' gear because I don't use science. I use magic. The laws that govern this world are different than the ones that govern yours, now be a good little boy and go sit down on the couch over there...and don't touch anything!" She grumbled quietly, two thin trickles of smoke seeping from her nostrils and rising up into the room. That and her sheer size, which Jake had just now noticed, instilled just enough fear to make him do as he was told. She stood a good three feet above him, and he was considered tall among normal folk. Quickly and quietly, he turned to sit on the couch she ordered him to.
After about ten minutes, the red beast turned her head to see if he was behaving himself, noting the look of reprimand on his face. She sighed and walked over to the boy, crouching down in front of him so they were both at eye level.
"Look... sorry for being so snippy. I'm just a little agitated. This shouldn't have happened. You shouldn't be here. I'm doing everything I can to send you back but until I can, I need you to just... try not to distract me," It sounded somewhat forced, as though she was having trouble articulating her thoughts. She had been working for quite some time without much rest. The young man crossed his arms a little, still not liking the attitude she used earlier despite the apology. The dragoness sighed again and rubbed her eyes, "Look," she paused, ready to try another explanation but felt that wouldn't work. It then hit her that she didn't even know his name and that odds were good he didn't know hers, "Name's Sasha. What's yours?" She lifted a hand, holding it out in a familiar form of greeting. The human eyed her palm, then the claws at the tips of her fingers before offering his own hand, gripping the red beast's in a handshake.
"Jake... and don't worry about it. I get treated like that all the time. I'm pretty much used to it. It's nice ta meet ya, Sasha. You're the first dragon I've ever met."
The ruby-hued dragoness nodded, lowering her hand again before moving to sit next to him on the couch.
"And you're the first human I've ever met. How old are you, kid?"
"Sixteen... well... I will be in about two weeks. How long do you think it'll take to get me back?"
Sasha turned to look off into space, slouching a little in her seat as she pondered.
"If I can properly replicate the same conditions, maybe two days. But then there's no telling where it'll drop you off. I'd really rather go ahead and get a stable gate working before trying to send you through." At least she showed concern for the young man's well-being. Not everyone offered him such thoughtfulness. Jake nodded a little. She seemed friendly enough but the question had to be asked. He was a curious little fellow after all.
"Why do you want to visit my world so badly? It's not that great. There's a lotta crime. The politicians are assholes and will screw the public out of every dollar they can just to further their own career. Other countries want us dead just because we have stuff they don't have. Diseases are all over the place with no cure to stop them. The environment is in trouble 'cause of all the pollution. I could go on. What's your interest in such a shithole?"
The red dragoness sighed a little, crossing her legs and turning slightly so her whole body faced the human.
"Curiosity to be honest. Yeah there's the whole 'betterment for all forms of life' by making new discoveries and all that, and the possibility of making money off this endeavor, and a number of other factors that I really don't need to get into, but in the end, it's all about curiosity. I want to because I want to see if I can." Such honesty. She was straightforward and clear about her intentions. Jake nodded and turned his own body to face his hostess, trying his best not to stare at her chest. She was rather lightly dressed after all. Maybe that was the norm in this universe.
"I gotcha. Is there anything I can do to help?"
Sasha raised an eyebrow, the corner of her mouth pulling into a light grin.
"Do you know anything about energy manipulation, mana bio-generation, artifact enchanting, or teleportation incantations?"
The young human pondered her question, not so much to see if he had any of the knowledge she asked for, but to see if he understood what she was asking for.
"Can't say I do,"
"Then I'm afraid you're gonna hafta just sit and wait. Don't worry, I'll have you back before you know it and you'll be blowing out the candles on your birthday cake with your family around you in no time."
Jake winced a little as she moved to stand, her comment striking a somewhat tender chord.
"Actually... I don't have any family," His gaze dropped towards the floor. Sasha furrowed her brow and turned back around to look at the young man, "My parents died about two years ago and I didn't have any siblings. To my knowledge, my grandparents died before I was born and I don't have any aunts or uncles interested in taking me in. They think I'm too much of a trouble maker. It doesn't help when they're only interested in sheltering you so they can eventually get their hands on your inheritance. The only person I know of that would be at all interested in my being there is my roommate... but I'm sure she'll be fine without me. She's a bright girl." He sighed softly as he reflected on his situation across the universal divide. There wasn't anything he thought he was capable of that would improve his situation over there. The dragoness nodded, biting her lower lip a little hearing his explanation.
"Sorry, I didn't know."
"Don't worry about it. You couldn't have known. It's just the unfortunate state of things."
Sasha tilted her head softly to one side, crossing her arms again.
"You have a very logical outlook on the world."
Jake nodded.
"It's pretty much the only thing I can count on. If I keep my cool and try to think things out rationally, I'll be at least mildly okay. Now, sorry to distract you. Go ahead and get to work. I'll keep quiet," Eric returned his eyes to his hands hanging between his knees, fingers interlaced. The dragoness nodded and turned to walk back to the table, stopped in short order by the young man, "I don't suppose there's anything I could read while I'm waiting for you to finish your work is there?"
"Yeah, help yourself to anything on the third shelf from the bottom, first bookcase left of the fireplace." She finally returned to her table and continued her work as the young man stood, walking over to the shelf in question. The books she designated for him were rather interestingly named, 'The Basics of Magic,' 'Ancient Folklore,' 'The Stars and Heavens Above: What They Can Tell Us About Ourselves' and the like. Being a curious young man, he pulled the beginner's guide to magic and returned to his seat.
Several hours passed as Jake read through the old leather-bound tome, fascinated with the concepts held within until the dragoness growled and struck the palms of her hands roughly against the surface of the table, slapping the wooden structure in frustration. The loud noise startled the boy and he looked up with concern.
"This is impossible! The only way to create a stable link between two different realms is to bridge two existing breaches... and there's no way to locate them here let alone on the other side! Dammit!"
Jake closed his book, keeping a finger in place so he wouldn't have to hunt for where he left off and stood, walking over, making sure to look and not touch. The dragon's notes were quite interesting, offering a few sketches similar to what he had seen in a number of science fiction movies based on time-travel.
"Well, you said that I was pulled through a breach right?"
Sasha whipped her head around to look at the young man, obviously irritated with her work. Instantly, her glare softened as she reminded herself that he was but a guest.
"It's not that simple. By now, the gap in your world has no doubt sealed back up. And even if it hasn't, it would be virtually impossible to locate. And even then, we'd have to have a breach on this side to connect to it with. My research says it's possible, but it also says it's impossible. The data is contradicting itself!" The dragoness pulled a heavy chair up to the table and flopped into it, her tail hanging limp over one of the arms as she rubbed her temples, trying to regain her composure. As she calmed, she opened her eyes again, noting the book in her guest's hand, "So you've been learning about the basics of magic. Whatcha think so far?"
Jake looked down at the book in his hand, then back up at the dragon, his enthusiasm beginning to spill out.
"Oh it's absolutely fascinating! I didn't think I'd ever understand anything even remotely related to the occult but this is so easy to grasp! I'm almost half way done with the book! You wouldn't mind if I read more on this stuff after I finish it would you?"
Sasha shook her head, waving a hand softly.
"Not at all, just don't do anything stupid. You can get into a lot of trouble very quickly if you misuse or even just mispronounce a spell. Once you finish that one, there's a second book that goes into more detail on the slightly more advanced skills. It's on the same shelf, far end." She was rather amused by the sharp improvement in his mood.
The human nodded and thanked her profusely as he continued skimming over the book. The texts he was given access to appealed to a side of himself he had not nurtured much while in his own world. He began bubbling over with ideas and thoughts of how he could use even the most basic of spells he might learn back home were he able to return. As the young human read, the dragoness began going over the original experiment aloud purely for her own benefit.
"Let's take a page out of your book and look at this logically, step by step. In the first attempt, I actually created a breach on this side since given the right conditions, it's easier to make your own rather than find one. After that, I enclosed it in a simple barrier to prevent it from sucking anything into the void between realms. At that point, I began channeling energy through it to try and attract a breach on your side, hoping that it was possible to actually attract one and form a similar barrier around it. What I think really happened was I created a second breach, even though that is incredibly difficult and highly improbable." She sat at her table, rubbing her eyes with a single hand as she attempted to think through the process that had led her to this rather awkward situation. The human looked up from his book to listen as she spoke, finding the broad details easier to grasp than the fine subtleties of the work itself.
"So, you think you've done something that isn't supposed to happen?" It was a crude synopsis, but an accurate one. Sasha nodded and returned to her train of thought.
"If I did manage to create a second breach, then it wasn't a matter of them being attracted to one another, they were already linked. Even if I had successfully created a barrier around the second breach, both would still have been exposed to the void between universes. The vacuum could have sucked part of the barriers through until they joined in the middle, making a bridge," She was on a roll by now, so very energetic in her reasoning aloud that she was practically dancing in her seat, "This bubble, which didn't have any real substance on your side, floated around arbitrarily. I stopped feeding energy into the breach to keep from causing any sort of explosion and the field began to fall apart under the stress. By the time it dropped to a critical level, it had surrounded you."
Jake was beginning to feed on his hostess' excitement, hoping it would lead to a chance to return home.
"And it pulled me through when it collapsed! Your experiment worked, just not the way you wanted it to!"
Sasha nodded. It had all come together so quickly in those last few moments, and with such clarity, the crimson woman felt as though she had been staring at it all along.
"Exactly! Now, if all of this is correct, all we have to do is find a way to stabilize your side once we make a connection. I attached this side of the bridge to a mirror when I first made the initial breach so it would have a tangible anchor point. We just need something similar on your side to lock onto to hold it open once I stop supplying energy. That is, if we're right about all of this. It's just a theory, but it happens to fit the best out of all the explanations I've tried to come up with." Immediately, Sasha began scribbling away on a blank piece of parchment, attempting to solve the problems set forth by this new hypothesis. Jake watched her work, hopeful that it would succeed, but at the same time, hesitant to return.
"So... I'll get to go home?"
The dragon nodded again, seeming in better spirits than just moments earlier.
"Yeah, it'll take me a while to properly calculate the amount of energy that'll be needed, how long to hold the barrier, and a few other factors, but I think it's possible. I'll want to make smaller attempts in my safe room to practice and see if I'm not accounting for something but this should work."
Jake nodded again, pleased to hear about the dragon's progress in spite of his ambivalence.
"How long are we talking? A few hours?"
"At least two days. I want to be absolutely sure about this. I've got a spare bed you can use and I'm a relatively okay cook. I hope you don't have anything important you were supposed to do over there."
The human shook his head, sitting down on the couch again. There was something of a relief in his voice as he shrugged off the notion of having to stay in the dragon's world for so long.
"Naah. I'm not in school over there. I got expelled from the last one I went to so I've just been staying home, living off the money I get every month until I turn eighteen. I've got a computer and internet access so I just teach myself everything I need to know. I planned on getting a G.E.D. then apply to some technology university."
Sasha nodded, stopping him before he could go on any further.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I get it. Now, I just need to get back to work. Sorry to shut you up but, the sooner I get on this, the sooner I can get you home and you can sleep with your roommate or whatever it is you two do."
Jake blushed hotly, his eyes growing huge at the very thought of doing anything intimate with Natalie. He was attracted to her, yes, but there wasn't any sort of mutual attraction. She saw him as a friend, or at least that's how he interpreted her signals.
"I would never do anything of the sort!"
Sasha looked up rather nonchalantly from her table.
"Oh, you're gay? Sorry, didn't know."
The boy blushed even brighter, coughing loudly at the very thought.
"I am not gay! I think she's pretty and all but she's my roommate! And she's not shown any interest in me like that! Well... recently." He suddenly shifted away from his loud defensive stance in the discussion, averting his eyes and looking to the floor. Intrigued by the romantic inner workings from another realm, Sasha paused her work and turned around to speak to the boy again.
"So you two slept together before."
Jake blushed again, more brightly than ever.
"No! Well... not sexually at least. We've curled up on the couch together watching movies from time to time but not in months. She's been too busy with this month's boyfriend. If you ask me, he's a huge jerk. She could do so much better than him." He clearly held something more than just friendship for this roommate of his, but he wouldn't dare admit it to her for whatever reasons were to be had.
"So why don't you say something to her?" The dragoness tilted her head ever so softly, speaking rather matter-of-factly. Her prying only served to fluster the poor human even further.
"Because... because she already knows how I feel about some of the guys she goes out with,"
"So she knows you love her?"
Jake coughed again, trying to clear his throat and regain his composure.
"I don't love her! She's my friend! The best one I've ever had!"
"Right, and you don't love her... even though you think she's attractive and you despise the retards she goes out with because they treat her like crap. Oh let's not forget the couch cuddling; you did say you two fell asleep together doing that. Girls don't let that happen with just anyone, only with guys they feel they can be very comfortable around, guys they trust. She's waiting for you to make a move. Give this guy a fat lip, kick him out the door, then tell her how you feel. What harm could it do?" For only knowing him a few hours and hearing but a couple of little tidbits, Sasha seemed quite astute. Even Jake himself didn't realize just how he felt about his roommate until the dragoness in front of him connected the dots for him.
"I'll tell you what! That guy is huge! He works out every freaking day at the gym, he could toss me like a frisbee! And even if I managed to get him out of the apartment, Nat would probably hate my guts for doing it."
Sasha rolled her eyes at the human, crossing her arms.
"Oh you're such a pussy! I don't know what the women are like where you come from, but here, we like to know our guys aren't afraid to take charge when the going gets rough, that we can count on them to step in when the shit hits the fan. I'm gonna get this tunnel open and I'm gonna asskick you back into your room and make damn sure you tell her how you feel... and I'm not gonna send you back until you swear that you're gonna own up to your feelings for her." She had suddenly grown rather demanding in those last few moments. The last threat silenced Jake, making him blink as he stood there, frozen in place.
"Okay... okay... I'll tell her. Just... get me back."
"Good, now get back to reading. I've got work to do."
The two days passed quickly enough, the dragon and human getting to know one another better in between Sasha's work sessions. The spare bed she mentioned was in her own private bed chamber. That alone was not a major issue to the young man. The fact that his hostess liked to sleep in the nude was. The first night left him blushing so bright, his skin matched her scales. Minor name calling resulted and the two went to sleep. The second night, Jake was prepared and he averted his gaze until she was under the sheets but the morning saw his memory of her lack of clothing stripped from his mind and his blush returned just as deeply.
Sasha's research progressed with relative swiftness, several test runs teaching her more about the circumstances about her friend's arrival. Jake took to reading every book she put in front of him, assimilating the information with frightening speed. Before long, he was able to light the candles in the mage's lab with a few simple words, an impressive task for one so new to magic. Such was how the two filled the hours until finally, the time for the true test came and both human and dragon prepared themselves.
"Alright, I've enchanted a stone to feed the proper amount of energy into the breach at a constant rate. It should give out just as the bubble reaches its maximum diameter. At that point, I'll have a counter-spell at the ready. Do not, I repeat, do not approach the tear until I'm sure it will work. Do you understand?"
Jake nodded and stood a safe distance from the area of effect. Once she was ready, Sasha began. A slit in the fabric of reality formed directly before the pair and the dragoness erected a barrier just like before, holding it in place until the stone took over the job of maintaining it. With only minor effort, Sasha directed the tear through the empty space of her lab to the very mirror she had used previously. Just like last time, the shield began to bend inward, sucked through the hole until a bubble of sufficient size was achieved. The tear suddenly lit up with scenery from the other side, seeming to be floating randomly throughout the city Jake came from.
"Hey, that's just a couple of blocks away from my place!" Not something he should have been bragging about. The neighborhood was quite rough, many of the buildings looking worn and decrepit. Sasha grimaced seeing the rather grimy living conditions and immediately began to wonder if sending the boy back would really be better for him.
"Can't say I envy you, but then you did warn me it was a bad situation. With a little luck, this one will follow the same path the first one did and we'll be able to find something to connect that side to until we're ready to close it." Just as she said, the view shifted about, passing through walls and buildings until it reached a familiar room with a computer still running where the sight of the other world seemed to pause. The stone's light began to fade quickly, giving up the last of its energy just as the red dragon quickly dispelled the barrier. Just as she had predicted, the bridge remained in place instead of violently collapsing. Still, it wouldn't hold for very long until it was anchored to something on that end. As soon as Sasha tried to insert her hand, it was stopped as if there was a pane of glass in the way. She grumbled quietly and sighed, glad that she got this far but perturbed that she was still short of her goal, the irritation visible to the human watching her.
"What? What's keeping you from getting through?"
The dragoness remained quiet for a moment as she attempted to analyze the new result, finally reaching a conclusion.
"When I dispelled the barrier, its energy was left behind and formed a stop-gap between our two worlds, holding the tears open like a big cork. Problem is, a cork doesn't let the wine pour out of the bottle, it just plugs the hole. In this case, it's keeping the doors open but won't let anything pass through. There's a cylindrical barrier stuck between both our realms holding these gaps open but not permitting passage of anything but light, and maybe sound. I need to figure out a way to dig a tunnel through that cork without it falling in on itself and sealing the holes up."
Jake nodded and poked lightly at the void in front of them, finding it to seem as solid as the ground he stood on.
"So you don't have to worry about it collapsing in this form, right?"
Sasha narrowed her eyes at the portal, stroking her chin softly.
"It's still very much in danger of collapsing. I've attached this end to a corporeal object so it will have physical support. Is there a mirror in your apartment?"
"Yeah, there's one hanging on the inside of Nat's bedroom door. I don't like the idea of being able to spy on her but it's better than letting it collapse right?"
The dragoness reached over to the table, picking up the blue sphere Jake had tried to examine earlier. With a few waves of her hand, the scene on the other side moved, turning this way and that, allowing Sasha a glimpse into the life of her guest. It was not impressive. The apartment was small, dingy, and offered little comfort to anyone wanting to call it home. His room came first and she noted the impressive PC setup young Jake had procured, either by legal or illegal means. She moved on and found Natalie's room, then the mirror within, moving the portal in place until it became fixed.
"That should do it. If we need to, we can move it to another location, just not very easily. Now let's try to get you through it. Get back to your reading, I've research to do."
Jake grumbled softly and plopped back onto the couch, opening his latest book once more, disappointed he couldn't go home just yet.
Another day passed as Sasha attempted to permit one to traverse between their two realms. It was a special day for her. She had a meeting with someone 'in town' she said and left Jake to his reading while she was gone. And so he lay there on the couch in the lab, drinking in the information she provided him with until a noise caught his attention. He looked up to see movement in the mirror leading back home. It was Natalie, and her monster of a boyfriend, Gordon. It seemed they were becoming quiet amorous, and because of his own desire to respect Nat's privacy, not to mention his revulsion of the thought of seeing the ogre naked, Jake draped a long cloth over the mirror, trying to avoid the sounds coming from the other side.
Moments passed before the light stumbling noises changed to sounds of struggle. One particular phrase caught Jakes attention immediately.
"Gordon, I said no! Now get off me!" What came from the odious fellow after that sickened the young man. He jumped to his feet and ripped the sheet away to see the larger human standing over Natalie, pushing her on the bed and trying to hold her there. He had no intention of letting her out of his reach, at least not until he was done with her.
"Shut up you bitch, I've been goin' out with you for two weeks and you haven't put out once! Now be a good slut and spread'em for me." He grinned deviously and Natalie slapped him stingingly. Jake growled and began beating on the mirror, screaming at the potential rapist, trying to get his attention but to no avail. Gordon stepped back, cupping his cheek in his hand, frowning, growling, glowering at the young lady in front of him.
"Get out! Just get the hell out, right now before I call the police!"
The monster tried to move in again but a swift twist of her hip saw Natalie's heel slam against Gordon's jaw. He shouted in pain and growled, deciding this little tease was too much trouble for the goods he wanted, and so he left. Natalie panted in fear, holding her chest as her heart pounded away inside. Jake knew he'd be back, and he wouldn't be alone. He'd bring friends to restrain her, take what he wanted, then let his friends have their fun with her, or worse. He had to do something. If he could see through to the other side, then surely a teleportation spell would work.
Ignoring Sasha's request, the young man began rummaging around through her research, looking for anything he might recognize as an incantation of transport until he found something that would no doubt come in handy, a strength enhancing spell. Surely it was only temporary in effect but he would work with it momentarily. He found the spell he sought and began working to discern the language. The young man chanted while watching his roommate made a call, no doubt to the authorities. Good, that's just what she should do. Hopefully, she wouldn't need to worry about Gordon and his friends coming back after he managed to cross the gap. He practiced reading the spell until he felt he had it right and switched over to the other incantation, hoping to boost his strength just enough to deter the fool should he return.
Practice time was taken before he finally recited it aloud, calling upon the strength of the dragon as he understood it to mean, then attempted the teleportation. Nothing happened on either count, even moments after he went silent. Again he tried both, resulting in the same lack of effect. He growled and tried it several more times before finally giving up, smashing his fist into the table in frustration. Pain gripped his wrist, palm, and fingers, forcing a retraction of his arm and the other hand to cup over the injured regions. He grumbled loudly, kicking himself for being so stupid.
For hours, Jake stood in front of the mirror, watching Natalie in her room. As soon as she got off the phone with the police, she buried her face in her pillow and sobbed loudly, calling out to her friend, wondering where he was. It set his blood afire being unable to do anything to help his roommate, his friend... the girl he loved. As soon as a knock came at the door, Natalie answered it and a police officer walked in, only visible once both entered her bedroom as she detailed the whole story to him. Jake took solace in the presence of the officer but it didn't cure him of his rage completely. The policeman agreed to stay overnight as she pleaded hysterically to him, walking out into the den so that the young lady could enjoy her privacy. Once more, the sheet was returned to the mirror so he wouldn't feel guilty for peeping on his roommate. With his efforts seemingly completely wasted, Jake returned to the couch and continued reading. He must have forgotten something when he attempted to cast the spells. It struck him that perhaps he didn't have what it took, that since he was from a world without magic, he couldn't use it, or at least more complex, more powerful spells. The idea brought a sickening feeling with it.
"Dammit, stupid arrogant pricks think they can tell me what to do. They wouldn't know the difference between casting a portal and taking a dump!" The crimson dragoness continued to swear up a storm as she strolled back into her home, tossing her traveling cloak onto a nearby chair before heading into the lab, flopping onto a couch opposite her guest. Jake frowned and looked up from his book to see what was the matter.
"I take it your trip didn't go too well?"
Sasha snorted angrily and crossed her arms.
"My funding has been cut... specifically, the funding that was going towards generating the link between our world and yours. I tried to tell them I had no choice, that I had to get you back but they didn't care. They only care how profitable it is. Assholes." The dragoness continued her nonsensical rant as Jake sat up, afraid of what he thought she might have meant.
"So... you can't afford to continue researching how to send me home?"
She shook her head.
"Unless I manage to find a gold vein in the basement, no. You're gonna be stuck here,"
"But we're so close! We can see through to the other side! We can hear people on the other side! I have to get back! Nat's in trouble! She needs me!"
Sasha turned to look at the emphatic human, sensing something more about his desire to return.
"What happened? What did you see?"
Jake remained quiet for a moment, his eyes looking quite intense; cold and hard like steel.
"Her boyfriend tried to rape her... right there in front of me. I screamed and banged on the mirror but they didn't hear me. I don't think they saw me either. She's got a cop there with her right now but I'd feel a lot better if I could let her know where I am somehow."
Knowing the passion of the heart all too well, Sasha sat up and looked into her guest's eyes, her gaze piercing down into his very core.
"What did you do?"
"I didn't do anything. I heard a noise. I pulled the sheet off, saw him trying to rape her. She slapped him, then kicked him in the face, called the cops, and I put the sheet back. Nothing happened."
Sasha stood and padded over to the boy, leaning down to push her face within an uncomfortable proximity to his.
"What did you do!? Tell me right now or so help me I will eat you alive!"
Jake gulped softly, knowing she probably could make good on her threat.
"I tried to teleport over. I read an incantation but it didn't work. It just fizzled. Nothing happened."
She growled and leaned even closer.
"Is that all you did?"
Another quiet, fearful gulp rose up from the boy, shaking his head.
"N... no, I tried to use a strength augmentation spell. Thought I'd need it if I was gonna defend her from musclehead over there. It didn't work either. Both of them just petered out. I didn't see any light or mana or anything. It was like reading a storybook aloud. It had no effect whatsoever! I swear!"
The dragon stood back up and frowned.
"You're wrong. It did. You've gotten taller, and your shirt was six inches too large for your chest, a comfortable difference, but now, it's only four inches. Whether you see it or not, I do, and it's having a visible effect. Tell me exactly which spells you used, now!"
He cowered in front of the red beast, amazed that she could notice such a subtle change. Quickly, he scurried over to the table, pointing out both scribblings quickly enough.
"See? These are the ones I used. They're harmless. I made sure of what they said before I read them aloud."
Sasha looked over the writings briefly, seeming to relax.
"You've learned a lot. You did pick the most harmless spells... but it seems that one of them didn't just fizzle out. If it doesn't wear off in two days, I'll dispel it for you. Now, if you don't mind, I need a hot shower and something to relax me," She paused for ever so brief a moment, realizing that her guest probably had not eaten since before she left, "But I suppose I should cook us some dinner first. Let's go."
Jake nodded and darted over to the mirror, sticking his head under the sheet to see if anything had changed. On the other side, Natalie was still asleep, providing him with a little peace of mind. After that, he scrambled after the red lady as she walked to the kitchen. He had come to admire her cooking. It was far better than his own.
A quick, tasty meal was prepared and the two nibbled at it, preoccupied with their own concerns as the night outside deepened, the last of the sun disappearing over the horizon. All Jake could think about was getting back to Natalie and that he might not ever get to even speak to her ever again. His thoughts wandered back and forth over various things he would never get to do again, finally returning to his failure to successfully cast his first true spells. He kicked himself mentally and recalled the words, wishing he could have increased his strength more than just a couple of inches worth of muscle mass and height. It might have made the teleportation successful. The incantation rolled around in his head again and again as he stirred his food absentmindedly until his hostess paused, looking up from her own food to see the boy sitting taller than before, and not stopping there.
"Um... Jake?"
He looked up, his eyes meeting with the dragon's in short order.
"Hmm?"
"You're growing..."
He misconstrued her comment, looking back down at his bowl of stew, the scent making his mouth water, curious as to why it seemed stronger now than when she served him.
"Yeah, I know, I'm a growing boy, I need to eat my food so I keep up my strength and all that stuff. My parents threw that at me all the time. Please don't try to replace them or do their job."
Sasha shook her head, pointing at the boy's form.
"No, I mean, you're growing... right now... look."
He furrowed his brow and looked down at his form, unsure as to what she meant but finding out soon enough. He was indeed growing. His chest was growing far more defined, his arms thickening as were his legs. Even his hands were increasing in size. It was a strange sensation, not painful but very disconcerting. He stood, panicking mildly as he watched his shirt tighten, stretching about his newly altered form.
"What's happening to me!?"
"If I had to guess, that strength incantation you used is finally kicking in. What animal did you pick?"
He looked up, his eyes growing large with the realization of what might happen.
"Dragon..."
Sasha chuckled and rolled her eyes a bit.
"I should have known. Just relax and let it happen. You'll be fine. Whether it's permanent or temporary doesn't much matter anymore. If you get stuck like this, you'll fit in better around here. If not, then you can just cast it anytime you want to go around without drawing too many stares."
Jake nodded hearing her request for calm, still growing larger until he reached a height a good three quarters of a foot taller than her, amazed that his clothing had not ripped open yet. With his new frame in place, larger proportionally than the insufferable Gordon but not grotesquely muscled, his skin began to change, losing its pinkish hue and taking on a more emerald sheen. A pattern broke out across his body where his skin had changed color, scales forming as claws protruded from his fingers.
His shoes burst open at the toe as his feet shifted and altered themselves, talons below shredding them like tissue paper. A curious tightness formed in his back and base of his spine as three new features formed in violent eruptions, ripping holes in his shirt and pants. A pair of wings and a tail showed themselves, shocking the boy. He gawked, unable to maintain his composure with all of this happening. Soon, the odd tightness moved up over the whole of his head, his form trembling as jaw and nose extended outward into a narrow, pointed muzzle. Teeth repositioned and sharpened, a pair of fangs forming near the end of his new snout while a pair of tall, slender horns burst from his hair, curving back only a few inches above his head. Two odd little frills formed at the back of his jaw line, fanning out into curious adornments while his eyes changed in color, turning a lovely blue from their original brown, narrowing into slits, sharpening his vision greatly. Finally, at long last, the sensations of change faded and he stood there, a new dragon. He looked over his new shape with concern, his tail shifting about under his commands, his wings twitching, fanning, and collapsing as per their orders as well.
"I... I don't know what to say! I'm a freaking dragon!"
Sasha was speechless. She had seen many of her own kind before but never before had she seen one emerge from a little pink creature with no claws, tail, wings, fangs, or other features common among the other folk around the land. She looked him up and down, her own eyes widening as she spotted a sizable swell in his pants, noting that his muscle mass wasn't the only thing that had grown.
"Jake... I... you..." She stuttered for a moment, worrying the new scaled beast somewhat, "Just come with me!" She gripped his wrist and hurried him towards the bed chamber and connected bathroom. There she removed his shirt and pushed him into view of the mirror, standing behind him and peeking out from one side, wrapping her arms slowly about his chest.
"Holy shit! I'm huge! That spell fucking rocks! Look at me!" He began posing, flexing his arms and chest this way and that. Sasha nodded, feeling over his new sinuous frame with delight. She had always been attracted to the strong type.
"I am! I am! I can't take my eyes off you! You make a very handsome dragon!"
Jake blushed deeply once more, his new, more delicate sense of smell picking up on an unusual aroma. Sweet yet hinting at a tinge of musk, coming from somewhere nearby. Finally he put two and two together as it strengthened with Sasha's feeling over his arms and abdomen. She was aroused, very aroused.
"Um... Miss Sasha... I... I don't think it would be appropriate for me to spend the night in your bedroom tonight."
She blinked up at him, wondering what idiotic thought had gotten into his head.
"And why the hell not?!"
"I don't think it would be right... not with Natalie still needing me. Not when she's in trouble. I think you're a very lovely lady and without a doubt the most beautiful dragon I've ever met, and even though I may never get back, I don't think I'm ready to give up on it just yet."
The red dragoness frowned and moved to stand directly in front of Jake, crossing her arms.
"You think that just because you'd be in my bedroom I wouldn't have enough self-control to let you get comfortable with this new body and the idea that you might not be going home?" Her gaze hardened into a piercing stare. The larger dragon gulped and nodded, afraid he may have offended his hostess, "Well you thought right!" With that, she leapt into his arms, wrapping hers about his neck, her legs about his waist, and mashing her lips against his in a deep, passionate kiss. All the green beast could do was catch her, stumbling backwards in surprise, bumping into the nearby wall. Her scent suddenly grew far stronger, leaving him slightly dizzy. His will power was melting away. He had to try to get back to Natalie, and if he managed to, he'd hate himself for succumbing to this weakness when he still cared for the girl sleeping a world away.
Claws raked lightly at Jakes back as Sasha allowed herself to get lost in the male's form, drinking in his own musky aroma, letting it drive her mad. It had been months, years actually, since she had last felt the touch of another in such an intimate fashion. Such was the curse of letting herself get so wrapped up in her work. She pulled the green dragon towards the shower, trying to remove her own clothing at the same time until Jake stopped them, panting for breath after the passionate kiss.
"Wait! Sasha wait!" His new lungs forced the words out in so powerful a shout, the red woman had no choice but to pay attention. She froze, almost whimpering, "I care for Natalie. Deeply. If there's any chance I can get back to her, I need to take it. I need to know. What are the odds of getting back home?"
The crimson dragoness pulled herself out of the passion for the moment to do some quick computations. Considering that she had no idea what would make a successful passageway between worlds and it would take far too long to research this new connection, the odds were not good.
"Very, very low now that my funding's been reduced by so much. I'm sorry Jake. I honestly don't know if you'll ever get back home."
He nodded solemnly before asking a new question.
"The dragons in this world, are they monogamous?"
Sasha furrowed her brow in confusion. Why he wanted to know that was beyond her but she provided the answer.
"Some, not all of them. Are humans monogamous?"
Jake returned the same phrase.
"Some, not all of them. It really depends on who you're talking about. It's frowned upon to a large degree where I'm from to not choose just one partner. What about here?"
Sasha shrugged lightly, still not seeing the relevance of this questioning. Was he considering going out and finding other ladies to sleep with after sampling her?
"It's not frowned upon either way. It's just personal preference. You can have one partner or hundreds. Why?"
Jake squeezed the red female in his arms, kissing her deeply before responding.
"Because then I can at least partially justify cheating on Natalie."
Sasha giggled and returned the kiss, removing her clothes quickly enough once they reached the shower. Jake's shorts slid off, revealing his new, engorged package, surprising himself just how large it was. The crimson female switched on the water once all garments were out of the way and water poured down them both, instinct taking over both of them. Jake's mind was lost in the passion, pressing his hips against his new lover's, already working to wedge his stiff, slick length into her warm interior. She moaned and wrapped herself even tighter about the handsome male, grinding down onto his girth, stretching her open nicely. A pair of feral growls rumbled away from the couple, a steady, harsh paced thrusting finding the two of them biting harmlessly at one another's necks and shoulders. Claws felt over curve and muscle, stroking breast and pectoral as the pleasure took them beyond simple hostess and guest but passionate lovers. If this was what it was going to be like living as a dragon, Jake was looking forward to it. Heat burned between the two scaled beasts, the green pinning his mate to the shower wall, using it for leverage to dig just as deep as his monstrous shaft could, stealing Sasha's breath away.
Closer and closer they pushed towards the explosion to come until a pair of roars echoed through the whole of the structure, shaking the very foundation of the domicile. A firm throbbing, coupled with several hot, sticky bursts of pale ooze firing off into the female's depths, brought them both to their knees, tumbling gently to the floor of the shower, leaning against the wall as they caught their breath. Sasha looked up weakly at the larger green beast, reaching up to brush her fingertips along his lips. Jake looked down at her, cradling the crimson female against him tightly, unable to believe the experience that had just rocked their bodies.
"Jake... that... you...." Words escaped her as she tried to speak, out of breath and dizzy from the powerful orgasm. All her lover could do was nod and hug her tightly.
"Yeah..." There they sat for what seemed like eternity, the shower still pouring down over them. A hint of guilt gnawed at the back of Jake's mind but he tried to push it away. Yes he cared for Natalie, but she would want him to be happy. It was true, he probably would never set foot back on that side of the gate ever again. He only wished he could send her some sort of message to let her know he was okay. Maybe Sasha could help him with that, but that would have to wait. For now, he just wanted to hold this red-scaled beauty, slowly beginning to cleanse her form. He reached over, squeezing some of the sweet-smelling soap he had come to be quite fond of into his hand, lathered up, and began scrubbing his lover's form tenderly. She reciprocated the affection, lathering his body as well. The two covered one another in white suds, never parting their hips enough to break contact, bringing one another to slow, intense orgasm again and again and again. Hours passed before they finally rinsed off and emerged from the bathroom, taking their lovemaking to the bed, testing the strength of the mattress springs over the course of the night. It was a glorious time for both of them. True Sasha was far older than the youthful Jake, but his new form brought with it the stamina and skill she had long desired in a mate.
Eventually, the two fell asleep in one another's arms, purring to one another as they dreamed of a life filled with such nights. It was an evening of heaven, one neither would soon forget.
Morning came and saw the two dragons bathing in sunlight as they woke. Jake's eyes slowly lifted halfway, spying the ruby gem of a female curled up against his chest, her wings wrapped about his shoulders, his own wings wrapped about hers. He ran his fingers through her hair as she began to wake, smiling up at him.
"Morning lover." Her voice was like music to him now. He smiled and touched his lips to her forehead, greeting her in a tender fashion.
"Good morning. I trust you slept well?"
Sasha nodded emphatically.
"Oh yes, better than I have in a very long time. You?"
Jake nodded in agreement as her fingers ran up his cheek into his own dark locks, combing them the way only a dragon could.
"The best night's sleep I've had in my entire life... which I suppose isn't saying much since I'm not nearly as old as you."
Suddenly, the crimson turned indignant, frowning.
"Old? Just how old do you think I am!?"
Jake squeaked softly in fear, having treaded on forbidden territory.
"I... what I meant was... I'm only fifteen... and you're a grown woman... you're not old... you were just born before me."
Sasha narrowed her eyes at the large, emerald pussy cat of a dragon.
"Just how old do I look?"
Jake struggled to choose a fair number, one that wouldn't offend his new partner. Of course, a fair number for a dragon had quite a wide range.
"I dunno....um....seventy?"
She gawked.
"Seventy!?"
"Sixty!!"
She blinked and frowned at him again.
"Sixty!? You think I look like I'm sixty!?"
"No!! Fifty!!"
At that point, Sasha raised an eyebrow, looking him dead in the eyes.
"How old... honestly... do you think I am?" Honesty, when it came to a woman's age, was never the best policy. Jake already knew that at such a young age, and yet he had managed to dig himself a rather deep hole.
"Honestly? You look like you're thirty... maybe."
A grin spread across her muzzle as she failed to hold back her amusement.
"Oh I've got to tell that to someone... Thirty... Right. Honey, I'm over two hundred and fifty. For being such a big fan of dragons as you say you are, you sure don't know anything about how we age. I've been told by random strangers that I look like I'm not a day over one hundred... but thirty!? That's a riot!"
Jake instantly relaxed, relieved that it was all just a joke. It would be difficult playing the dominant male when she could strike such fear in him, but it seemed that was the way she wanted things. The two shared one more quick, passionate romp under the sheets before finally climbing out of bed. Both dressed, Jake in his now rather tight shirt and shorts, thinking he would need a new wardrobe now that he was too large for his old clothing. After covering themselves, they returned to the lab to ponder what to do about the link still holding between their worlds. The sheet was pulled down to see Natalie just waking up on her end. Sasha hugged her great green lover as they both looked into the mirror at the young human, still worried about her roommate's fate.
"She'll never know what happened to me will she?" He hugged the red female to him affectionately, her arms slipping about his waist.
"I'm sorry I couldn't help you get back to her. If there was anything I could do, you know I would do it for you."
He nodded, reaching out with one hand, pressing his palm lightly against the glass.
"I just wish there was a way we could bring her here. There's no way I could go back like this."
"Is that so bad?" She asked in earnest, hoping he wouldn't regret this strange series of happy accidents. Jake sighed lightly, kissing the lady in his arms ever so softly.
"No, no it's not. But I will miss her," Both shared a look before turning their gaze back to the human on her bed, hugging her knees as she sat there silently, no doubt recalling the events of the past twenty-four hours. Jake's gaze remained fixed on the girl, his stare deepening until a new sensation came over him, a tightness in his chest similar to when he transformed the previous evening, "Now what? Am I changing back?" He sounded disappointed by the prospect, having grown fond of his scaly skin, but it was not at all what he thought. The tightness lingered until finally, his chest expanded outward ever so slowly, the change visible to any who might have looked. Both dragons blinked at the sudden outward inflation of the emerald beast's chest, two distinct orbs forming and swelling larger and larger until his shirt ripped open, exposing a new bust, comparable to Sasha's. The red dragoness blinked and laughed, feeling over the new orbs, squeezing them tenderly.
"My boy's gonna be a girl now? I might be able to get used to that... but I'll miss that... Woah!" She was cut off instantly by a sudden swelling of girth between Jake's legs, his pants straining to contain the newly enlarged length now trailing down one leg, ending just shy of the knee, at least a quarter as wide as his thigh. Both stared at the massive organ as the rest of the green dragon's body twisted and contorted, taking on a more feminine outline, hips widening, waist narrowing, facial features softening, center of gravity shifting down several inches, until finally, the changes were complete, at least for now. Neither knew if there would be another transformation in the future or not. Jake whimpered and looked over his new body, running his hands over his new, pert chest, shuddering softly over the sensitivity of his new breasts.
"Oh my god... what did I do to myself!?"
Sasha pondered for a moment, looking back over the written word of the spells he had called upon the day before.
"How exactly did you pronounce all of this?" She held the book he had read from for the freshly altered dragon to view. He thought back to his initial attempts, mouthing the words until he remembered just how they passed his lips. The red beast laughed and poked his chest lightly, "You didn't say it right. What you summoned the power of was a very specific kind of dragon. You're a hermaphrodite now honey... you've got the same girly bits you were plowing last night."
Jake blushed deeply and tried to slide a hand into his pants, finding it difficult but not impossible. His fingers traced over the smooth, warm length that had just recently swelled outward before their eyes, moving past the shaft and bulging scrotum to feel beyond. The instant his claw tips grazed over a new, amazingly tender region, he shuddered and moaned.
"Oh god... what the hell was that?"
Sasha laughed and grinned, shoving her own hand down the green one's pants to feel over his new cunny.
"That, is your new vagina... and if my guess is right, you're going to be giving it quite the workout."
"What? What are you talking about!?" Jake was dismayed, unsure if he, now a shi, liked the idea of being both male and female. At least Sasha didn't seem turned off by it. In fact, she seemed even more interested in the green beast than ever.
"You'll see what I mean in a few weeks. For now, I think we need to get you some new clothes. C'mon, I'll let you borrow some of mine... if they'll fit."
Jake nodded, glancing over at the mirror only to see Natalie again, pausing to watch her for just a few minutes more. Sasha paused with hir to watch for the moment, only for both of them to see the girl slowly lose her strength and lay back down to sleep. Not uncommon for someone who just woke up, but then, her form began to glow, then fade away. Jake's eyes widened in horror, rushing over to the mirror, screaming the girl's name.
"Nat! Nat come back! What's happening!? Come back! Please!" Shi began pounding away on the mirror as shi had done previously. Sasha moved to her lover's side, trying to pull the green beast away so she could view the mirror, "Where'd she go? You hafta tell me! Sasha! Where did Natalie go!?"
The red dragoness sighed and scanned the room, then looked up at her companion.
"I don't know honey. She just... disappeared. If I knew, I'd tell you."
Jake whimpered and held back tears of hysteria, looking back into the mirror, mumbling as if someone on the other side could hear hir.
"Nat... please come back to me... where did you go?" Hir complaints were cut short by a new tightness, this time in hir belly as it suddenly expanded outward in a nice, gradual motion. Shi gasped and looked down, hir hands moving to hold the swell, feeling new weight filling the expanse inside until shi appeared quite heavily pregnant, hir shorts finally giving way and ripping open, revealing all below. Hir eyes locked on the great dome of hir new belly as did Sasha's and somehow, the green dragoness knew what shi carried, "Oh... there you are..."
Hir lover looked up at hir curiously, reaching out to touch the swell.
"Natalie's in there?"
Jake nodded lightly, dazed by the sudden granting of hir wish.
"I... I think so."
Sasha nodded and turned back to the teleportation script, requesting the same pronunciation of Jake. Shi wrestled hir tongue until it finally came out the way shi remembered it and brought a new giggle to hir mate's lips.
"Oh my goodness. I told you not pronouncing your spells right could get you into trouble... and here you are pregnant with your old roommate. Well my little queen dragon, looks like your first baby is going to be our little girlfriend."
"Our? Queen dragon? Pregnant!?" Jake was horribly startled by the news, not sure what to make of all of this, not even understanding some of it.
"That's right. Any girlfriend of yours is a girlfriend of mine... though I should expect she'll look a great deal different when she comes out, probably more like you, gender and all. As for queen dragon, that's whose power you requested to augment your strength. It just took a while for the full effects to manifest. A queen dragon is a dragon, either female or hermaphrodite, usually the latter, who continually produces eggs, be they fertile or not. You see, after you 'give birth' to Nat here, you're gonna stay about this round, laying eggs once or twice a week or so. If they're fertilized, they'll hatch. If not... well... some folks think dragon eggs are a delicacy among delicacies. Now c'mon, let's get you to bed. No sense in keeping you on your feet so soon after your change."
The emerald beast held one hand on hir belly, somehow able to feel the mind inside hir, trying to sense if she was alright.
"I'm gonna spend the rest of my life like this aren't I?"
Sasha nodded, leaning up and kissing the green beast's cheek.
"Yup, don't worry, I'll be right here for you every step of the way. And look on the bright side, you got your chance to tell her how you really feel... and she doesn't have to worry about those jackass boyfriends anymore 'cause she's got us! Now, you can't go by 'Jake' anymore. That's a boy's name, and you are decidedly no longer male. How 'bout... 'Jade'?"
The ripe dragoness thought about it for a moment, feeling over hir newly feminized form and nodded.
"Yeah, I guess that'd work. Can we get something to eat? I'm starving!"
Sasha laughed and kissed the green dragon's cheek, patting hir belly firmly.
"Of course, I bet you're absolutely famished." The two worked their way back to the bedroom where Jade climbed into bed, holding hir tummy as shi continued attempting contact through some strange form of telepathy with the young woman in hir womb. She wouldn't stay human for long. On her way back towards the kitchen, Sasha glanced into the lab to check on the mirror only to see the images of Natalie's old room fading away, the bridge collapsing. She frowned a little and moved on, deciding it was probably for the best. After all, she couldn't have her two new playmates trying to escape through the looking glass like Alice could she?
Some days later, Jade found hirself giving birth to the girl shi had been obsessing over ever since shi arrived but Natalie as she had been was no more. Instead, the once human now looked very much like Jade hirself; emerald scales, blue eyes, lovely brown hair, but a much more slender build, more elegant and feminine. Shi was indeed graced with both member and muff, as well as a hefty bosom to go along with it. The explanation of what had transpired was detailed once shi had come to grips with hir new body, and the news was taken surprisingly well. It wasn't long before Natalie was giggling and caressing Jade's belly liberally to feel the eggs that were coming.
"So Jake... um... Jade is gonna be laying eggs pretty much nonstop?"
Sasha nodded lightly.
"Well, every few days shi'll lay a few, yeah. Why?"
Nat grinned and giggled.
"What if I wanna climb back in there? It was cozy!"
Jade blushed and whimpered, not sure if that was such a wise idea, but Sasha just joined Natalie's grin.
"Oh shi should be able to control the egg production hirself, pause it or what not... to be honest, I'm somewhat curious what it's like in there myself."
The smaller green dragoness giggled and licked hir new girlfriend's cheek, hugging the crimson dragon tightly.
"So let's find out!" Without further hesitation, shi released the smaller of hir two mates, moved to Jade's groin and began pushing hir way in, finding the passing quiet easy. Jade complained and moaned for a moment before simply spreading hir legs to accept the inevitable. After all, there wasn't much shi could do to stop them. In but a few seconds, Natalie was back inside, swelling the green dragon back out. Shi turned around and pushed hir head back out, grinning, "C'mon in, it's great in here!"
Sasha laughed and rolled her eyes, pushing her hands in which were immediately gripped and pulled. Much to the mixed delight of the 'queen,' both disappeared into hir cunny as shi lay there, staring at hir massive gut, out of breath, and utterly exhausted. Two full grown adult dragons and at least a dozen eggs the size of softballs all jammed into one place. It made for quite the sight. If only shi had a camera, shi could actually see hir groin again but Jade simply let hir two lovers do as they pleased deep in hir womb. It did feel rather nice after all. Maybe they'd be interested in making it a regular event. Gradually, shi drifted off to sleep, sealing both girls away in hir belly for the time being as hir middle wobbled and bounced with their activity. Just as shi passed to sleep, one final thought crossed hir mind.
"I wonder what the girls would look like all round like this... and if Sasha'll be a hermaphrodite too when she comes out..."
