Reunions can be....interesting
Another cliche theme I choose with a little cross dressing. I needed something to get my brain flowing again and this just popped into my head. Hope you like it, even though its a little long which I apologize for. Please comment if you like. Feedback always gives me my inspiration.
Warren pulled the car to a stop in front of his garage. Clicking the door opener, he waited until it was opened before pulling inside and turning the car off. He thumped his head a couple of times on the wheel, letting out a groan.
"Another failed date. God dammit what the hell is going on?"
Taking the key out of the ignition, he got out the car and headed inside. Walking into the kitchen, he turned on the light, tossing the keys onto the counter. He just got back from a date that he thought was going good, until her boyfriend decided to crash the party.
"Who am I kidding? Maybe I should just stay single?"
Walking to the front, he knelt down and grabbed the mail that dropped through the slot. He didn't even bother looking through it as he placed it on the end table in the living room. He headed upstairs to his room, taking off the clothes he wore which had traces of blood from the altercation he had.
"Shit, this was my good shirt too."
Grabbing some boxers, he headed into the shower, taking a glance at himself in the mirror. He was a decent looking fellow. Golden, yellow eyes that sparkled in the sun as he took off his contacts and placed them in the solution. Shaggy, black hair topped his head as he scratched his ear before losing the clothes. Turning on the water, he waited for it to get warm before hopping in. He let out a sigh before rubbing his jaw where he got punched.
"Damn, I didn't think rabbits could hit that hard."
Getting good and clean, he put on his night clothes and headed back downstairs to the kitchen, grabbing a glass and the bottle of rum before heading to the living room. He plopped down on the couch, turning the tv on as the basketball game played. Pouring a quick shot, he down it fast, letting out a cough as the alcohol ran down his throat. He poured another one before sitting back on the couch.
"I wonder what kind of junk mail I got today?"
Reaching over, he grabbed the mail and skimmed through it.
"Trash, trash, bill, trash......what the hell?"
In his hand, he held an envelope from his old high school, Cambridge Rindge & Latin. Curiosity got the better of him as he opened the envelope and read the letter.
Greetings Mr. Thompson.
This is an invitation to attend your high school reunion being held at the Cambridge Rindge & Latin gymnasium. It will be a joyous occasion to see all your old high school friends and remember the good times you had. The reunion will be held this Saturday. Please come and be a part of this wonderful get together. If you are interested in coming, please call the number below so we can make arrangements. We hope to see you there.
Sincerely
Linda Lacewell
Linda Lacewell!? God that principle had it out for him since day one. Every time something happened, his name seemed to always come out of her mouth. Something else needs to come out of her mouth. Looking at the calendar on the wall, it was only Monday. He still had time to contemplate on whether or not he would go. It's not like there was anybody there he would want to see. Tossing the letter on the table, he let out a sigh before chugging the shot down.
"I wonder if the old gang is going to be there? Wouldn't mind seeing them again after five years."
A chuckle left his lips as he remembered all the things they did together. Yeah, seeing them again would be awesome. What did he have lose?
"Maybe I'll give them a call tomorrow."
Taking another shot, he turned off the tv and headed upstairs to his room. Climbing into his bed, he got under the covers, letting out a sigh as he sunk into the warmth of the blankets. Within minutes, he was fast asleep.

"Hey Warren?"
Warren turned his head to see his boss coming up to him.
"What's up?" he asked.
"Did you find out what was wrong with that Honda?"
"Yeah. Cylinder three is misfiring and the rear valve cover is cracked causing the leak of oil," Warren said, taking a bite out of his sandwich.
"How long do you think it'll take to fix it?"
"Shit, we're talking at least an hour and half just for the tune up alone. Getting to the rear valve cover is probably going to be another hour."
His boss nodded his head before leaning on the wall.
"So how did the date go last night?"
"You want the good part or the funny part?" Warren asked.
"I'll take the funny part."
"Her boyfriend decided to crash the party."
His boss laughed at that.
"Are you serious?"
"Very. She didn't mention anything about a boyfriend to me while I was treating her that night. You always hook me up with the worst people Greg."
Greg calmed down before walking over and patting his back.
"I didn't know she had one. She said she wanted to meet someone nice and you are the nicest person I know."
Warren chuckled at that before drinking some ice tea.
"Anyway, anything else happening?"
"Yeah. I got an invitation to attend my high school reunion."
"Really? Are you going?"
"Don't know," Warren answered, gathering his trash and tossing it in the barrel. "There are some things I would love to forget about my high school years."
"Ain't that the truth," Greg said, rubbing his beard. "I remember my high school reunion. Met my first girlfriend again and my god, did she get fat. When I dated her, she only weighed about hundred and one, maybe five pounds. Now, she weighs about two plus."
Warren laughed at that along with Greg.
"I guess that's one of the good things about seeing your old friends. You get to see how awful or wonderful their lives have been."
"Yeah. The girl that I wanted to date before her, is now the head of her own company, making seven figures a year," Greg smiled.
"Now that's a keeper. Wish I could've met someone like that."
"When is the reunion?"
"Saturday back in my home town."
"If you want to go, you're more than welcomed. You've been putting in more hours than everybody else, so they can take over."
Warren smiled before giving a stretch.
"Maybe I will go. Would be great to see just how good or how bad everybody is doing."
"Of course you should go. You only get one chance to see everybody again, so why not take it? Now then, you still have that Ford to work on don't you?"
"Yeah. Just need another hour on it and it'll be good as new."
//////
Warren looked out the window as the Amtrak train pulled into South Station. Grabbing his duffel bag, he walked out of the cabin car onto the platform. He looked around, memories flooding his brain about all the things that happened here. Somebody grabbed him from behind making him tense up.
"There's my little brother," a rough voice said.
"Dammit Troy, I told you about sneaking up on me," Warren said with a little anger in his voice.
"Sorry, sorry," Troy said with a smile before letting him go. "It's good to see you again after all these years."
"Same here," Warren said, giving him a hug. "Anything exciting happened these last few years?"
"A couple things, nothing really major," Troy said as they started walking towards the exit. "Remember the movie theater in Summerville?"
"Yeah."
"It's gone now."
Warren looked surprised at that. That movie theater always brought in a good amount of money. He even worked there when he was in high school.
"What happened to it?"
"Apparently some of the employees were selling drugs inside and having sex up in the projection room. So the police said to shut it down."
"That sucks."
They walked to the parking lot and over to a silver Lexus. Warren gave a whistle as Troy unlocked the doors. Tossing the duffel bag in the back, they got in and took off.
"Who did you jack for this?" Warren asked.
"Hey man, don't hate the player. I saved up for this baby. And since you work on cars, maybe I can bring it to you when something is wrong?"
"Hah, don't get your hopes up. I hate working on Lexus's. Import cars are a bitch. How's mom doing?"
"She's doing good. Can't wait to see you after all these years. She wonders why you never write or call her."
"She knows the reason why," Warren said, looking out the window as he saw familiar streets whiz by.
Troy looked at him from the corner of his eyes before back at the road.
"You know she didn't mean to do what she did. You have to forgive her. It hurts her deeply."
"Well she should've thought of that before kicking me out. She kicked me out for some fucking man that did nothing but abuse her. And he knew that I would kick his ass if I even saw him lift his hand towards her."
"That was in the past Warren. Why can't you let it go? She misses you."
"Drop it Troy. I don't want to talk it."
"Fine, whatever."
Nobody spoke another word as they headed towards Troy's house. He pulled into the driveway as a small otter cub was playing in the front yard. Parking the car, they got out a the cub rushed over to them.
"Daddy!!" the cub cheered happily.
"Hey there princess," Troy said, lifting his daughter into the air making her laugh and giggle. "You behaving yourself?"
"Uh-huh," she said, nodding her head before looking at Warren. "Who's your friend?"
"That's your uncle Warren."
"You never told me you had a kid?" Warren said.
"That's because when you left, you didn't bother keeping in contact. Say hi Gloria."
"Hi uncle Warren!"
Warren couldn't help but smile and give a wave. The front door opened as a slim, female otter walked out wearing a pair of sweat pants and tank top.
"Welcome back Troy. Hey there Warren. You've gotten big."
"You've gotten big also Debbie. What size are you now?" Warren said with a big grin as Debbie rolled her eyes.
"Still a creep as usual. You haven't changed a bit."
Warren laughed before walking up and giving her a hug.
"Is the spare room ready love?" Troy asked, placing his daughter back down as she hurried inside.
"Yeah. I finished putting the linen on the bed so its good to go."
"Thanks again for letting me stay here for the weekend," Warren said, grabbing his bag from the car.
"No problem. Mom would rather have you stay with her, but I knew that wasn't going to happen."
They walked into the house, the scent of cinnamon and apples filled the air. Troy's house was a lot nicer than his. Of course, he had a family and a wife to spruce up the place with decorations and other apparel.
"Spare room's down the hall, last door on the left. Linen closet is next to the bathroom," Troy said, walking into the living room.
Warren nodded and headed down the hall. Reaching the spare room, he tossed his bag on the floor and sat down on the bed, feeling the springs bounce him a little. He got up from the bed and headed towards the living room. It was a comfy looking room. A black leather couch connected together with a loveseat was near the window that was dressed with red curtains. A chocolate brown rug covered the room with an end table in the middle, Troy's daughter playing with some dolls atop of it. Pictures of Troy and his family lined the wall as well as a couple of degrees and diplomas. A tv was mounted on the wall next to a recliner showing cartoons as Troy was sprawled out on the couch, Debbie next to him.
"Have a seat bro," Troy said.
Warren took a seat on the recliner, lifting the bottom up as his legs got raised up.
"I still don't see how you could afford all this and a Lexus?"
"It's called working. Something everybody does," Troy chuckled.
"What do you do anyway?"
"I'm a computer networker for Biogen. Make a pretty good bit of money."
"How about you Debbie? What do you do?"
"I drive a school bus for my daughter's school," Debbie smiled.
Warren chuckled at that before letting out a grunt as something jumped into his lap. Looking down, he saw a large tabby cat staring up at him. He smiled before reaching over and scratching behind it's ear getting a purr as it curled into his lap.
"I'll get dinner started. Is there anything you're allergic to Warren?" Debbie asked, heading to the kitchen.
"Not really," he replied with a shrug of his shoulders.
He watched Debbie leave before looking down at Gloria who was playing with some dolls.
"How old is Gloria?"
"She'll be six in two months."
"Yep. I'm going to be a big girl," Gloria said with a smile.
"I bet you are," Warren smiled back.
Warren wouldn't mind having kids of his own one day. That is, if he could find a good date first of all. He was only twenty five, so he had some time to get settled down with the right girl. The smell of dumplings came from the kitchen making his stomach growl.
"I take it she learned to cook from you?" Warren asked Troy.
"Ha, he wishes," Debbie said. "He killed to be able to cook like me."
"She has me there," Troy chuckled. "Even though mom did teach me lots of stuff, I can't compete with Debbie."
"And don't you forget it," Debbie added, walking in and giving him a kiss. "We'll be eating in about fifteen minutes. Just waiting for the ham to get that glaze on it. Gloria, go wash your hands and put your dolls away."
"Okay momma," she said, grabbing her toys and skipping upstairs.
Fifteen minutes later, they were sitting at the table eating noodles with mixed vegetables, dumplings, and baked ham.
"So Warren, what have you been up to these past five years?" Debbie asked, taking a drink of cherry kool-aid.
"Nothing to major. Just been working like a slave for AutoTire. My mechanical teacher got me the job since he knew the manager there. I love it."
"How about the love life? Surely you have that special someone by now?"
"Not really. Last date I went on, her boyfriend showed up and it got kind of ugly."
Troy laughed at that.
"You never did have any luck with the ladies."
"Rub it in, you ass."
"Relax Warren. I'm sure your dream girl is out there somewhere. Waiting for you to sweep her off her feet," Debbie added, reaching over and giving his hand a squeeze.
They shared some idle chatter before dinner was done. Troy headed upstairs to put Gloria to bed as Warren stayed down and help Debbie clean up.
"That was some great cooking Debbie. Pity I didn't find you first."
Debbie smiled at that before blowing some soap bubbles into his face making him sneeze.
"Whatever happened to Laura? I thought she was madly in love with you?"
"Not madly in love. Just plain mad. She was crazy. I would rather forget that I even dated her. Please don't mention her name. It gives me the shivers."
"You do have bad luck with the ladies. Maybe you might see that one special girl at your high school reunion."
"I'm not holding my breath," Warren said, drying the last dish and putting it away.
"You count yourself short to much. Try to think positive once in awhile. Have a good night and thank you for helping me clean up."
She leaned up and gave him a kiss on the cheek before heading upstairs. He heard their bedroom door close as he let out a sigh. Think positive huh? Easy for them to say. They had it all and he didn't. Drying his hands, he walked to the spare room and sat down. Reaching over to his bag, he took out his sleeping clothes and got changed before laying down in the bed. Getting under the covers, he closed his eyes and was fast asleep.
////////
The smell of coffee stirred Warren from his sleep. It was his favorite flavor too, french vanilla. He groggily sat up in the bed, letting the covers slide off his body. He gave a big stretch, hearing some joints crack making him groan.
"I'm getting old," he said, rolling his shoulder around.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, he reached into his bag, pulling out a fresh pair of boxers and headed for the shower. After about five minutes, he came out refreshed and ready for the big reunion. Brushing his teeth, he went back into the spare room and dug into his bag for something to wear. Rubbing his chin, he decided to go with a pair of nice black slacks, white shirt tucked into the pants with a black vest covering it. Looking in the mirror, he combed his hair back and gave a smile at what he saw. He wasn't that bad looking. Now if only he could get that good first date. Walking out the room, he went to the kitchen where Debbie and Troy were eating breakfast.
"Well look at you handsome," Debbie said with a purr. "How the hell are you still single looking that cute?"
"Thanks for the ego boost," Warren said, sitting at the table.
"You always did like dress good. Something I need to start doing," Troy chuckled.
"Ain't that the truth," Debbie chuckled before laughing as Troy tickled her.
"Who's side are you on anyway love?"
"Relax honey. I married you, remember? Coffee Warren?" Debbie asked, heading for the pot.
"Yes please."
She poured him a cup and handed it to him as he took a sip after adding some cream and sugar.
"So when's the reunion?" Troy asked, finishing up his breakfast.
"Twelve thirty. I got time," Warren said, looking at his watch which read ten twenty.
"You need a lift over there? I got the day off today."
"Nah. I can catch the sixty four bus. It'll drop me right in front of the school. Thanks though."
Warren finished off his coffee before standing up and heading to the sink. He washed his cup and headed for the door where his shoes were. Tying the laces, he started to walk out before Troy stopped him.
"If you get a chance, why not stop by mom's house? She would love to see you, regardless of the past."
"I'll think about it," Warren said, closing the door and walking out to the sidewalk.
The town of Newton hasn't changed a bit since he left. The neighborhood was beautiful as every house had its grass cut, showing off their pristine condition. All the garbage cans were lined up neatly for the trash people as they tossed the stuff into the trucks. He gave them a wave before heading into town to catch the bus. He got to the bus stop bench and took a look at the schedule. The next one won't arrive until ten forty-five. Taking a seat on the bench, he leaned his head back, letting the bright sun in the sky warm his face up as he closed his eyes. Birds landed a few paces away, eating some of the crumbs that were left from donuts or bagels.
"Hey, did I miss the bus?" he heard a voice say behind him.
"Nope, hasn't come yet," Warren replied back.
"Sweet."
He heard the person next to take a seat with a sigh.
"Excuse me, but are you Warren Thompson?"
Warren opened his eyes and looked to his right to see a ursine sitting next to him. He studied him for a bit, trying to remember if he knew them.
"And if I am?"
"Wow, you look totally different. Oh sorry, it's me, Duncan Parker."
Duncan Parker? The same Duncan Parker he became friends with in the Bridge Housing complex when he got kicked out his junior year of high school?
"Holy shit, DP. How the hell you've been man?" Warren said with a big smile before standing up and giving him a hug.
"I'm doing good man. I'm still breathing so I must be doing something right," he chuckled.
"Damn, its good to see you again after so long. What have you been up to?"
"Heading to work now. Just like every other average joe."
Warren chuckled at that as the bus turned the corner and rolled to a stop to pick them up. They paid the fare and took their seats in the back as the bus rolled on.
"What you doing for work?" Warren asked a little loudly to talk over the engine.
"I work as a bank teller. Not really exciting, but I love it."
"Of course you do. You were always good with numbers unlike me. I get a headache from staring at math problems too long."
Duncan let out a laugh at that.
"Still have that same sense of humor? God I missed that. Where you living now?"
"Maryland Heights. About a four hour Amtrak ride from here."
"What bring you back here to this place?"
Warren reached into his pocket and pulled out the envelope, handing it to him. Duncan read it over before smiling.
"High school reunion? I didn't think you wanted to come back over here after what your mom did to you?"
"Didn't want to at first. But then decided it would be good to see the old gang again. I do kinda miss those days."
"Don't we all," Duncan chuckled. "You seeing anybody?"
"Nope. Been hitless since psycho lady."
Duncan shook his head at that, before reaching up and ringing the bell for the next stop.
"Well hell man, its good to see you. Let me get your number and maybe I'll come pay you a visit."
"Sure thing," Warren said, exchanging phone numbers with him.
"I'll catch you later man," Duncan said, bumping fists with him before exiting out the back door.
Warren watched him leave before the bus carried on. It was actually great to see his old friend again as he smiled. After another ten minutes, he saw the school appear in the background and hit the stop button. Getting out, he watched the bus disappear in the traffic before he turned his attention to his old high school. It was a rather large building, dull in color as it was all grey. A large football stood on the left as the janitor was cutting the grass. Looking at his watch, he still had about twenty minutes.
"Meh, might as well head on up."
He started up the driveway, memories of all his years here flooding his brain. Surprisingly, there were a ton of cars in the parking lot. He didn't think anybody would come, finding it a waste of time, but it looks like he was wrong. Getting to the double doors, he opened them as the smell of nostalgia hit him. The floor were still as shiny as he remembered them. The janitor here was a clean freak. He made sure every bathroom had toilet paper and was graffiti free. Different color lockers lined the halls as he ran his hands over them as he passed.
"I wonder if my locker combination is still the same?"
With a grin, he hurried up to the second floor and down the hall. Passing room two ten, he stopped at a row of yellow locker and looked at number fifty four. He reached his hand up slowly and touched the combo lock.
"Twenty four left, one right, forty five left."
To his surprise, the locker opened as he laughed. Opening it, he found it wasn't occupied. Looking on the door, he saw pictures he thought he took before graduating but was still taped on. The corners of the photos were curled as time played a part in the degrading of it. He pulled one out and looked at it. It was a picture of him, a husky, dalmation, rabbit, and another human.
"Ha, man those were the days."
He took the rest of the photos off and close the locker door as he heard the sound of a microphone.
"Looks like its starting. Better hurry."
He took off in a light jog towards the gymnasium. Reaching the oak double doors, he took a peek inside. It was pack with tons of people sitting at tables placed inside. He could see a dragoness on a stage talking into a microphone which he assumed was Lacewell. He scanned the area briefly and found an empty table by the door. Opening the door, he walked to the table, pulling out a chair and taking a seat.
"It's so good to see most of you today. I didn't think you would actually come, but I'm thankfully you did," Linda said, her long dragon tail twitching behind her nervously. "Welcome to your high school reunion. It took a while to find most of the class of two thousand, but with a little help from a few friends, we found most of you. Today is a day to find your old friends or old flames and remember the good old days. Please enjoy the refreshments we have for you and enjoy yourselves."
The large crowd gave an applause before heading over to the table on the other side of the gym. Warren waited for a bit before heading over. There was a ton of food laid out as people filled their plates and went to their tables. Warren grabbed a plate and started down the long table of food, picking random things here and there along with a soda before heading back to the table. Music started playing from a radio that was hook up to some speakers providing a nice atmosphere. He started to munch down on his food when a few people sat down besides him.
"As I live and breath, Warren Thompson."
Warren looked up and couldn't help but have a huge smile on his face as he saw his old gang sitting there.
"My god, I'm seeing ghosts in the form of Jerry, Ramon, and Quincy," Warren laughed.
He got up and gave each of them a tight hug before sitting back down. He looked at them one by one, still can't believe he's seeing them after five years. First there was Jerry Byrd, the other human in the group. He had a baseball cap turned backwards covering his sandy brown hair as his lavender eyes were full of life. A pair of jeans with a sweater brandishing the school logo in the front was his attire for the reunion. Medium build and the same height as Warren but had a limp in his walk cause of a car accident.
Next came Quincy Chandler. The dalmatian was the, quote on quote, brains of the gang cause he worked on getting his law degree to become a lawyer. Traditional spots covered his body as he wore a nice looking pair of pants with a black and white checkered shirt, the top two buttons opened showing his tuft. Inky black pupils that could be stern at times and soft others greeted him along with a toothy smile.
Last came Ramon Webber. The lagomorph was the quiet one of the group. But when he did speak, he always said something that was deep and made you think. He had cinnamon brown fur trailing along his back with a soft grey covering his chest and right ear. His body was kind of pudgy. He had a gut but it looked like he was slimming down some.
"Damn, its good to see you guys after five years," Warren said, sipping some soda.
"Same could be said about you. You just took off after graduation without saying anything to us," Quincy said.
"Things happened that I would rather not go into."
"We can respect that," Jerry replied. "You look good after all these years. Still jogging when you get the chance?"
"When I get the chance, yeah. What have you guys been up to?"
"Well," Jerry said, taking a bite of his sandwich before wiping his mouth with a napkin. "I work for Super Park at the airport driving people from the parking lot to the terminals. Pay is pretty decent and the tips are awesome. My girlfriend Rosie, is expecting our first kid in the next couple months."
"Wait, goth girl Rosie Jenkins? You serious?" Warren said with a raised eyebrow.
"The same one. Turns out she's the sweetest yote I could ever imagine. I had the same opinions as you, but once I got to know her, I fell for her."
"Well congrats man. I'm happy for you. How about you Quincy?"
"I work for a law firm in Brighton as a defense attorney."
"So you got your law degree?"
"Still working on it. Only have one more year in Boston College which the firm is paying for. They say I'm probably the fourth best defense attorney they have and don't want to lose me."
Warren chuckled at that.
"You always were book smart and could keep everything you read locked inside that tiny brain of yours."
"Bite me," Quincy grinned.
Warren turned to Ramon who was looking down at the table, nursing a bottle of Mountain dew.
"And what about you mister Webber? What have you been up to?"
Ramon shrugged his shoulders, taking a sip and looking away. Jerry sighed before speaking up.
"Ramon took over his grandfather's library. His grandfather's health was slowly declining and wanted to keep the library open for the kids and public. So Ramon here, stepped in and is happy with his decision. Aren't you buddy?"
"Yeah," he said softly, making everybody look at him in shock.
"He spoke!! Quick, call CNN and report this," Warren said, making everybody laugh and Ramon blush.
Warren felt at home with all his friends, but noticed that there was one missing.
"Where's curly tail Tracy at?"
Jerry, Quincy, and Ramon looked at each other in silence which Warren noticed.
"What's wrong? Did something happen to him?"
"Tracy kind of.....lost his way," Quincy spoke up.
"What do you mean?"
"About a year after you left, Tracy's parents got divorced. HIs mom started doing drugs, even getting him hooked on it. It got so bad that every check she got from her job went to drugs. The bank took her home after she failed to keep up on the mortgage and they had to sleep in the car. Police arrested her for drug possession soon after and sent her to rehab, then jail."
Warren was shocked at that. Tracy was like his other brother. They did almost everything together. Even going as far as to one day, open up their own car repair shop since they loved fixing cars. He didn't want to believe what he was hearing, but Quincy never lied.
"What happened after that?" Warren asked.
"He managed to land a job at the Dollar Tree. He was doing good for a while. He was clean from drugs and even got a one bedroom apartment. I visited him when I got the chance, as well as the rest of us. But then, he started using again. Saying the stress of the job was getting to him and he needed the drugs to relax himself. Soon, he lost his job for dealing drugs in the back room. We did what we could to help, but he wouldn't listen to us. So desperate to score, he......started to sell his body."
"Get the fuck out of here," Warren shouted a little too loudly as people turned to look at him.
"We didn't want to believe it either Warren, but its the truth," Jerry added.
Warren rubbed his eyes, trying really hard not to picture his best friend in an alley somewhere on his knees blowing a total stranger. This couldn't be true, could it?
"Where is he living at?"
"His apartment was in the Chesterfield Lane apartments last time I checked. He's been in three separate places. Always going where the drugs were," Quincy said.
Chesterfield Lane apartments huh? Warren knew where that place was. It wasn't the worst place to live, but it wasn't a place you would want to raise children in. He had to see for himself just what the hell happened to him?
"How long you going to be in town for?" Jerry asked, trying to lighten the mood.
"Until Monday. My boss said to enjoy myself and come back Tuesday morning refreshed and ready to work on more cars."
"Cool. Maybe we can all go hang out at Pizzeria Uno and grab something to eat tonight or tomorrow?" Jerry asked. "I can show you the new and improved Rosie Jenkins."
"Sounds like a plan to me. Let me get all your numbers so we can stay in touch," Warren said.
They all shared numbers before chatting again. But Warren still couldn't get what he heard out of his head. Tracy was a bright person. How the hell could he fall so low like that? He had to see for himself.
"Hey Quincy, you know Tracy's apartment number?"
"Yeah. It's one thirty two. You going to see him?"
"Damn straight I am. I want to know what the hell he's thinking," Warren said angrily.
"The loss of a friend is like that of a limb. Time may heal the anguish of the wound , but the loss cannot be repaired," Ramon spoke up.
Everybody looked at each other before him as he blushed.
"What does that mean?" Warren asked.
"I think what he's trying to say, is that Tracy may not be the same person you knew in high school. Am I right somewhat?"Jerry asked.
Ramon nodded his head with a smile as Warren sighed. Tracy will always be Tracy, no matter what tragedy he had in life.
"I'm going to see Tracy. I'll catch you guys tomorrow for lunch."
"Peace out," they all said.
///////
Warren was quiet on the bus trip back to Troy's house. He knew he couldn't understand the pain Tracy was going through with the situation with his family and all. But dammit, he knew Tracy had a better head on his shoulder. When he does finally see him, he's going to punch the shit out of him. He got off at his stop and walked down the street to Troy's house. Troy was outside cleaning out his car when he saw his brother walk up the driveway.
"Hey there bro. How was the reunion?" he asked, turning off the car vac.
"Was pretty good actually. Got to see the old gang again after five years which was pretty refreshing."
"Great. What are you planning to do now?"
"I need to borrow your car."
"Planning on seeing mom?" Troy asked.
"No. Going to visit a friend."
Troy looked at him before bringing the car vac into the open garage door and sliding it by the tool bench.
"Sorry. Nobody uses my baby but me," he said with a grin before reaching up and taking a pair of keys that were hanging on a hook. "But you can take her friend."
Troy tossed him the keys which Warren caught. He pressed the alarm button causing a black Ford Escort parked on the sidewalk to beep.
"How many cars do you have?"
"That's Zack Dean's car. He said he didn't want it anymore so I took it off his hands. Debbie drives it to work but since its the weekend, you can use it. Just don't mess anything up in there."
"Thanks," Warren said.
He got into the car, adjusting the seat since it was so close to the wheel. Once he was settled in, he started the car which purred to life. Ford always did make some decent engines. Putting the car in gear, he drove off towards Hazelwood where the apartments were located. It was about a forty five minute drive as he passed a few businesses that, to his surprise, were no longer opened. He could tell he reached Hazelwood cause there were almost a police car at every intersection. Some of the buildings that were unfit to live in, looked almost brand new as they were up for sale.
"Looks like they did manage to clean up the town a little after five years. Probably trying to draw some attention and sell some of these houses for sale."
He took a left at the next light, pulling into Chesterfield Lane. These projects looked somewhat cleaned up. Trash that he use to see all over the street was cleaned up. The grass around the whole property was cut and trimmed making it look presentable. Trees and flowers were actually growing making it look nice. He slowly drove down the street, looking at the number of each apartment. Tracy's apartment was the last one as he found a parking space.
"At least they took the time to fix this project up. I guess the city is really trying to get some people to move back in."
Turning off the car, he got out and walked towards Tracy's apartment. Climbing up the short cement staircase, he saw a note on the screen door and looked at it. It was an eviction notice making Warren frown. He rang the doorbell a couple of times and waited for a bit. When he got no answer, he tried again.
"Hey Tracy, are you in there?" Warren spoke up.
A golf cart pulled up on the sidewalk and came to a stop.
"Are you his friend?"
Warren turned to see a collie in a nice pair of tan pants and plaid shirt looking at him.
"I hope so. Haven't seen him in five years though."
"Well, if you see the asshole, tell him I changed the locks on the doors. If he wants his stuff, he's going to have to pay his back rent. I've had it with him paying rent when he feels like it."
"He's going through a lot. I'm sure he's going to pay when he has the money," Warren said, trying to defend him.
"Not good enough. I've tried to be a nice guy to him and he's done nothing but spit in my face. Well, no more. Tell him what I said when you see him," the collie said starting the golf cart up again.
"How much does he owe you?"
"Back rent is four forty," he replied before driving off.
Warren watched him before letting out a sigh. He walked back to the car and got in, not even bothering to start it as he sat there.
"Dammit Tracy. What the hell's happened to you after all these years?"
Looking at that time, it was four twenty three. He tapped his finger on the wheel a couple of times before deciding his next stop. He might as well get it over with, as much as he didn't want to. Starting the car, he took off towards his mother's house.
///////
He arrived in the town of Marlboro, the snobby part of the city in his opinion. There were nothing but rich people that lived here, always looking down on the less fortunate. They even treated the employees that worked at supermarkets and gas stations like scum. He put his left turn signal on and drove down Charbonier Road towards Riverwood Estates drive. Speed limit was twenty five here and the cop at the turnabout made sure that was enforced. Driving down the street, he turned into Orvieto court and stopped at number ten. It was a large, two story house with a two car garage built in. In the driveway, he saw a Kia Sephia which belonged to his grandmother parked next to a Ford F-150 which belonged to that bastard that had him kicked out.
"Prefect. I have to see him huh?" Warren said with bitterness.
He pulled up on the curb and put it in park. He sat in the car for a bit before sighing and getting out. He walked up the cobblestone path to the front door. A welcome mat with the words 'peace to this house' greeted him as he shook his head. Reaching up, he rang the doorbell as it echoed.
"Just a minute," he heard a voice say from inside.
The deadbolt unlocked and opened as Warren stared face to face with the jaguar that caused everything, Phil Young. Phil's eyes looked shocked to see Warren but he smiled and extended his hand out.
"Hey there Warren. Long time no see. How have you been holding up?"
Right there, Warren wanted to punch the smile off his face as he balled his fists up. Phil saw this as his ears folded back a little.
"I see you're still mad at us."
"What gave you that idea?" Warren said with venom.
The bedroom door at the top of the stairs opened and a slim lady walked out wearing a pair of sweatpants and t-shirt. She looked at the door and her eyes widen at the sight.
"Oh my god! WARREN!!"
Warren looked up as Phil made room for his mom who jump into his arms with a tight hug. His mom didn't feel him hug back as she looked up at him with tearful eyes.
"Come in. Come in. Your grandmother is here also. She would love to see you too."
She pulled him into the living room, then the kitchen where an elderly lady was cooking. She looked up from the food and looked shocked at who walked in.
"Warren!? Oh my goodness I haven't seen you in ages. You've gotten big."
Warren took a seat at the table next to his mom who held his hand tightly, afraid to let go.
"Wow, Warren, you look good. How have you been honey?" his mom asked.
"Fine," Warren said bluntly.
"Warren, you don't know how badly I messed up honey. It was just-"
"You choose a man over your own flesh and blood. A guy who did nothing but abuse you. And when I wanted to defend you, he told you it was either him or me. You choose him."
She held her head down, a few tears hitting the table.
"You weren't even there for my graduation. But she was," he said, pointing to his grandmother. "Let me guess, he didn't want you go and you buckled?"
"It wasn't like that at all," Phil said walking in. "You don't understand-"
"Oh I understand perfectly. You couldn't scare me like you did my mother cause you know I would've beat the shit out of you."
"Watch your mouth in my house," Phil said with a small growl.
"Or what," Warren said, getting up and standing right in front of his face, looking him dead in his jungle green eyes. He was a little taller then Phil and probably had more muscle.
"Stop it, both of you," his mom said coming between them.
"Maybe it was stupid to come here. I'm leaving."
His mom grabbed his arm, shaking her head as the tears came nonstop.
"Please Warren. Please. Don't go."
Warren looked at his broken down mother, then back at Phil who turned his head away. He let out a sigh before hugging her as she cried into his chest, holding onto him tightly.
"I'm sorry mom. But I can't be under the same roof as him and control myself."
He let go her slowly before turning and leaving out the door. Walking to the car, he opened the door and sat down. For some reason, he couldn't stop the single tear that came down his cheek. He hit the steering wheel in frustration several times before leaning his head on it. A knock on the passenger window startled him as he saw his grandmother there. He unlocked the door as she got in with a grunt.
"Boy, these old bones of mine need more exercise."
She looked at Warren who still had his head on the steering wheel.
"You need to forgive her Warren. She made a terrible mistake. You can't hold this hatred forever."
"Watch me."
"The bible says to forgive your brother or the lord won't forgive you."
"I don't need to hear that witness junk right now," Warren said looking at her from the corner of his eyes.
"He's changed over the past five years Warren. Phil's not the asshole he once was."
Warren laughed at that.
"Once an asshole, always an asshole."
"A couple of months after your 'move', he realized his mistake and tried to look for you as well as your mother."
"Sure they did," Warren said with a roll of his eyes.
"I'm serious. But nobody knew where you went, not even your brother."
"I made sure that when she kicked me out, she would never find me. She wanted me out of her life, and I made her wish come true."
His grandmother frowned at that before slapping him on the back of head.
"You need to grow up Warren. Despite the things she did, she is still your mother and you will respect her. Believe it or not, but your mother still loves you very much and wants nothing more than to be in her son's life once again. Whether you want harbor this grudge for the rest of your life, or put it behind you and become a family again is up to you. Just remember this, you only have one mother."
With that said, she got out the car and headed back inside. Warren watched her leave and close the front door of the house. He sat in car, mulling over the many thoughts going on in his head. He wanted nothing more than to forgive his mother, but the pain of being kicked out for a man just hurt him too much for that to happen. With a sigh, he started the car and headed back the way he came. His stomach growled at him, making him take a quick stop at a convenience store. Picking up an ice tea and a bag of chips, he went back to the car and munched on his quick snack. The sun was beginning to set as the sky showed a vibrant orange-red color.
"I wonder if Tracy made it back to the apartment?"
Tossing the garbage in the can, he started the car up and headed back towards Hazelwood. He really hoped he could see Tracy this time. By the time he made it to Hazelwood, the sun was down as the night sky took over causing the street lights to illuminate the sidewalk. Turning on the headlights, he pulled to a stop at a light and scanned the area. The city looked kind of peaceful at night. But that could all change at the drop of a hat. Something caught his eye in the parking lot of the bowling alley across the street. Something....familiar.
"Is that him?"
He turned into the parking lot, found a spot somewhat far away and watched. Under a light post, he watched an exchange between what appeared to be a female husky and a bull. The husky had on a red dress showing the curves of its body. Matching stockings could be seen as well as red gloves on her paws. But something was still familiar about that husky for some reason. Warren watched as the bull handed the husky something before she lead him to the back of the building where there was less light. Turning off the car, he got out and followed the pair, making sure not to get to close. Stopping at the corner, he watched as they turned into the darker part of the building. He tip toed to the corner and peeked around it. Luckily there was some light, but not enough to be spotted.
"Alright bitch, get on your knees," a rough voice said.
The husky went to both knees on the dirty ground, reaching its paws out to unbuckle the belt around the bull's waist and pull out the awaiting prize. The husky let out a murr as the long, flaccid cock slumped over its nose, inhaling the bull's musk. The rough, pink tongue lapped at the large balls before trailing its way upward. The bull let out a huff at the sensation of having his balls played with.
"Enough teasing bitch. Get on with it," he snorted, pulling the husky's ear earning a yip.
The husky nodded, swirling its tongue over the sensitive head and cum slit making the bull's knees weak before slowly taking it into its muzzle. The bull looked hung, and thick all around, making the husky use both hands as it bobbed its head up and down slowly. Warren couldn't help but find this somewhat arousing. He could hear the lewd slurps and small moans coming from the couple. His eyes widened as he saw the husky take it all in its muzzle. It must've been at least nine inches. The bull let out a groan before grabbing the husky's ears and thrust into the warm, inviting muzzle.
"Fuck yeah. That's it, take it all you whore."
Warren watched as the bull began to pick up the pace, grunting every time he felt the husky increase the suction. Both of their heavy breathing reached his ears. Even the subtle sounds of the husky swallowing what collected in its mouth. The bull soon started to go to town, fucking the muzzle with reckless abandon. The husky had to braces its paws on the bulls thighs to keep balance from the force of the thrusts.
"Here it comes you slut. Make sure......you swallow every drop."
The bull gave a few more thrusts before mashing the husky's muzzle flush to his crotch and moaned loudly. The husky had to swallow quickly, as the flow of cum was fast and non stop. After a few minutes, the bull pulled back with a lewd pop from the muzzle of the husky. His cock throbbing lightly as he lean on the wall.
"Good......girl," he panted, wiping the his saliva and cum covered cock onto the side of the husky's muzzle. "You earned......every bit of that."
The husky only murred, smacking its lips happily after its tasty treat. The bull pulled his pants up, making Warren hide behind some trash cans in the corner. He heard the heavy footsteps of the bull fade and the sound of light footsteps come closer to him.
"Shit. I still need another hundred to score the hit I need," the husky said angrily.
Warren stood up and walked out into the open as the husky had its back turned. He knew exactly who that voice belonged to now.
"Tracy!?"
The husky froze in its steps, tail going rigid before slowly turning around. Warren stared into those red and blue eyes of his friend, still not believing what he just witnessed.
"Oh......um......heh.....hey Warren," Tracy said with a nervous chuckle, rubbing the back of his head..
"Tracy........what the fuck man?"
Tracy looked down at his dress before chuckling.
"Yeah.....this looks kind of......wrong huh?"
"Wrong isn't the word for it. Jesus Tracy....just......what the fuck?"
Tracy chuckled before walking up to Warren causing him to take a step back.
"Are you scared of me or something? I figured we could share a friendly hug after all these years."
"After what I just saw, I don't even want to shake your hand, let alone hug you. Why did you sink this low man? What happened to the Tracy that had his dream?"
Warren saw his eyes turn angry as the back of his lips curled into a growl.
"This coming from the guy who up and left after graduation for five years without even a phone call or text message saying he was okay or where he was. Don't you dare try to act like you're the better man," Tracy snarled.
Tracy did have a point. Warren did just disappear without so much as a goodbye to his friends. He hung his head down as they were both quiet for a minute or so.
"Sorry," Warren said softly.
"It's all good. I should apologize myself for snapping at you like that. Come on, let's catch up at my apartment," Tracy said with a smile before turning around.
"You have no more apartment. They evicted you."
Tracy looked back and gave a toothy grin.
"That never stopped me before. You have a car?"
"I'm borrowing my brother's wife car."
"Cool. Let's go."
They walked back to Debbie's car. Warren couldn't help but stare at Tracy. The dress, oddly enough, fit his slim body to a T. He may not have had breasts, but he probably wouldn't need them as hot as he looked as a female. The red dress kind of enhanced his blue and white fur. His curly tail was wagging happily as they reached the car and got in. Warren lost his ability to move for a bit as he looked at Tracy who just smiled.
"We going or what?"
"Yeah, sorry."
He started the car and headed for Tracy's apartment. Finding a spot, he turned the car off as they got out. Tracy snatched the eviction notice off the screen door before crumbling it. Opening the screen, he used his claw nail and slowly went around the small window panel in the front door. To Warren's surprise, the window slipped out with no problem as Tracy grabbed it before it fell. Reaching inside, he unlocked the door and walked in.
"You coming in or what?" Tracy asked, looking behind him and turning on the light.
"Are you sure you should be doing that?"
"Who cares. I found another place not far here. So personally, I don't give a fuck."
Warren looked around before walking into the apartment. The place was void of any kind of furniture except the fridge and stove in the kitchen. The living room had a few fold up chairs and table in the middle with a bunch of empty fast food bags laying around it. He even saw some syringes with the covers on them making him ball his fists in anger.
"Make yourself at home. Sorry I don't have anything for you to eat," Tracy said from the bedroom.
Warren took a seat on the chair, still staring at the syringes. Tracy walked in wearing a pair of jeans that were ripped into shorts and a tank top. He took a seat, leaning back on the chair and resting his feet on the table.
"You look good man. How long has its been since you disappeared on us?"
"Five years," Warren said, finally looking at Tracy.
"That long huh? I hardly noticed it. Time flies I guess. Want something to drink? I think I have something in the fridge."
"I'll pass."
"Fine by me," Tracy said, getting up. "So, what the hell have you've been up too man?"
"Working," Warren said.
Tracy chuckled before coming back and taking a seat, popping opened the soda in his paws and taking a swig.
"I guess we could've met under........better circumstances huh?"
"Yeah, we could've," Warren replied, the image of Tracy blowing that bull still burned into his mind.
"So what brings you back to these neck of the woods?"
"High school reunion. I take it you didn't get the invitation?"
"Been busy. No time," Tracy said, shrugging his shoulders.
Warren looked at him, his eyes showing confusion and disbelief.
"What happened to you Tracy? What caused this downward spiral?"
Tracy's smile left before his attention turned to a spot on the wall.
"People change," he said bluntly.
"That's bullshit Tracy and you know it. Quincy told me everything. Why didn't you let them help you?"
"I didn't need their help. I'm perfectly fine by myself."
"Look at how you're living man? This is not fine by any standard."
"I don't need your sob story as well."
Warren's hands balled into fists. How could Tracy justify living like this?
"Look, I may not understand what you went through, but that doesn't mean to throw your life away like this."
"You damn right you don't understand," Tracy growled. "Every since my mom got put in jail, it's been just me, myself, and I. I don't need anybody or anything."
"You need help Tracy. You got to stop destroying your body. What happened to our dream of opening a repair shop together?"
Tracy laughed at that before gulping down the rest of the soda and tossing the can against the wall angrily.
"Yeah Warren, what happened to that I wonder? If I remember correctly, you up and left after graduation without a word to anybody. You left no address, no phone number, nothing. So I guess our dream left with you, wouldn't you agree?"
Warren held his head down.
"I'm sorry about that. But things........came up."
"So I heard. You got kicked out of the house and I lost my mom to jail. I guess we both got dealt a bad hand, wouldn't you agree?"
"Yeah, but I didn't resort to drugs."
"You think I had a choice? My mom drugged the food I ate before shooting that shit into my arm. She said it would make us become one."
Warren looked at Tracy fold his ears and look away in shame.
"I felt so sick that day. Throwing up non stop while my mom did nothing but laugh. She said the first hit is a bitch, but then it'll feel like liquid gold. I tried to get her to stop, but she yelled and threw things at me. When I slept, she drugged me up even more. I got hooked on it soon after. Every week, she would spend her check on drugs, not caring about food or the house. We lost the house and ended up sleeping in the car for a week."
Tracy picked up a syringe and looked at it, rolling it around between his fingers before continuing.
"I tried to get in touch with my dad, but he changed his number. Mom soon got arrested for possession and resisting arrest. I watched as they dragged her away kicking and screaming. I moved in with a friend of mine until I got a job, an apartment, and managed to get clean for a bit. It felt good. But after a month, the withdrawal started to get to me. My body started to get weak and I felt sick everyday."
He tossed the syringe onto the table and put his hands behind his head.
"I found a dealer one night coming home from work and scored a hit. Feeling that stuff flow through my veins again felt so........right."
"And look at the situation you're in now? You can't hold a job. You lose an apartment for not paying rent. And now you're blowing strangers in an alley for money, just to get high again. God dammit Tracy, this isn't right," Warren said angrily.
Tracy looked at him angrily.
"I don't care anymore. I'm looking out for me! No one else has."
"You fucking lie!!" Warren shouted. "You have three friends that would do anything to help you, including me."
"You want to help me? Then help me now."
"What do you need?" Warren asked.
"I need a hundred dollars. The dealer I go to is going to be leaving to go back home and he has one last batch for me."
Warren's jaw drop at the request.
"Are you fucking serious?"
"Yeah. The stuff he has will last me a couple days. I'm going to be moving from here anyway once he leaves cause he's the only person I trust to come through in a pinch."
"If you wanted food, I would gladly give you the money. But if you want to score a hit, forget it.""
"Exactly what my other so called 'friends' said. If you can't help me, then get the fuck out."
"Will you listen to yourself? You need help man."
"The only 'thing' I need is money. If you can't give it, the night is still young and I know a couple of places I can go to get it. Unless, you want me to service you here and now? I learned a few things over the years that can make your knees weak."
Warren looked at him dumbfounded. This was Tracy!? This was the person he considered like a brother to him? No. The real Tracy had to be in there somewhere. And by god, he was going to drag him out if it was the last thing he does. He stood up from the chair, Tracy's eyes watching him the whole time.
"Go ahead and leave, just like you did all those years ago," Tracy said with a huff and a dismissive wave of his hand.
"'I know the you Tracy. I know the real you is in there somewhere and I'm going to get him back," Warren said with determination, heading to the door.
"Don't expect me to find me here again. I'm leaving in the morning."
Warren opened the door and left, heading to the car and sitting the driver's seat. He still couldn't believe that was his best friend in there. There had to be a mistake. This is a bad dream, right? It had to be. He watched as the apartment went dark, Tracy probably going to sleep. Looking at his watch, it read nine ten. Troy's probably wondering where the hell he's at with Debbie's car. With a sigh, he started the car, taking one last look at the apartment before driving off. Tracy watched the car go down the street, a growl coming from his mouth before leaving the window.
////////
Warren sat on the bed, hands in his head still replaying everything that happened last night. He found his good friend on his knees, sucking a bull off for money. Dressed in a woman's outfit no less. No matter how many times he shook his head, he could not, would not accept the fact that Tracy lived like that. Maybe he was partly to blame for Tracy ending up the way he did? No, it couldn't be that. He still had Ramon, Jerry, and Quincy. Why couldn't he just go to them for help?
"Hey Warren, you okay?"
He looked up to see Troy at the door.
"I don't know."
"What happened? You can tell me," Troy said, walking in and taking a seat on the bed.
Warren thought about telling Troy but he wanted to straighten this out himself.
"Its nothing," Warren lied.
"You can't lie to me Warren. I know you better then you think. Did something happen at mom's house?"
"I almost punched the shit out of Phil when I saw him. He had the nerve to say how you holding up."
"He's changed over the years Warren. He's not the same dickhead he was."
"Yeah. Grandma said the same thing before smacking me upside the head."
Troy laughed at that.
"Don't let it bum you out like this. The good thing is, you went to see her. That's all she really wanted. To know that her son is doing good."
Warren remembered the tears that she cried when he left. He didn't want to leave just like that, but he knew that he would've punched the shit out of Phil if he stayed there any longer. His phone started to ring as he reached over for it. Looking at the called id, it was Quincy.
"What's up Q?"
"Hey man. We're about to go to Uno's for lunch. You want in? It'll be like old times again."
"Sure I'm down. Let me grab a quick wash off and I'll head over."
"Sweet. Jerry's going to bring Rosie along too. See you there."
Warren hung up and stood up from the bed.
"Who was that?"
"Quincy. The gang's going to Uno's for lunch and invited me."
"Cool. If you need the car again, the keys are in the garage," Troy said getting up as well. "Just don't get any funny ideas and take my baby. I know what her engine sounds like."
"Don't like foreign cars anyway ass," Warren said, grabbing a pair of boxers and headed for the bathroom.
Washing himself down, he dried off and put on a pair of jeans, white tee shirt tucked into it with a Timberwolves jersey over it. Grabbing his wallet, he went out the garage exit and found the keys hanging on the key hook. Walking to the car, he got in and set off for Pizzeria Uno's. The radio played classic old school R&B as his mind drifted back to Tracy. He had to figure out how to bring him back to his senses. On the weird side, he did look like kind of hot in that outfit. The way the dress clung to his slim body along with those stockings.
"What the fuck is wrong with me?" Warren said shaking his head.
The restaurant was in view as he pulled into the parking lot. Finding a spot, he got out and went towards the entrance. The place still looked the same, even had the mark on the door he left after a scuffle happened inside with an unruly asshole that threw his drink on him. Opening the door, he was greeted by a waiter who smiled.
"Good afternoon sir," the vixen said. "Would you like a table for one?"
"I'm suppose to be meeting some friends here," Warren replied.
"Are you Warren Thompson?"
"That's me."
"Your friends are already here. I'll show you to their table."
He followed the vixen to a booth in the back of the restaurant where his friends were chuckling and laughing away. They looked up to see the waiter with Warren behind her.
"There's the man of the hour," Jerry said with a smile.
Warren took a seat next to Ramon who kept his head down but smiled. He looked across at the coyote sitting next to Jerry. Her stomach was big, filled with Jerry first child as she smiled at him.
"Wow. Rosie Jenkins. You look totally different without all your black gear on."
"Thank you. You've gotten cute yourself," she said with a smile.
"I didn't think you could look......normal."
Jerry and Rosie laughed at that before giving each other a kiss.
"You can thank this handsome devil next to me. He showed me that it's what inside that matters, not the looks on the outside. After we talked for a bit, I stop wearing those emo outfits and started being me. I guess that turned him on more than I thought."
"Okay, too much info," Warren smiled.
Everybody chuckled as the waiter came back.
"Are we ready to order?" she asked.
They ordered their food and drinks before chatting again. It was like he never left as they reminisce about old times and the shit they did. Rosie laughed before excusing herself to go to the bathroom.
"You need help hon?" Jerry asked.
"I'm a big girl. Besides, I know what kind of 'help' you want to give me," she grinned, flicking her tail under his chin.
"Can you blame me?" he smirked, sneaking a pinch on her ass making her yip.
They watched her leave before Quincy looked at Warren, his eyes going serious.
"Did you find Tracy?"
Warren's face went blank at the question. They could tell by his expression that he did find him.
"I can tell you did. Told you he lost his way."
"I still don't want to believe it. Why did he let himself get like this?"
"We tried to help him," Jerry added, taking a swig of his beer. "But every time we asked what we could do to help, he always asked for money to buy drugs."
"He told me everything last night. How his mother got him hooked, how he got clean and started using again. I blame myself. If only I stayed. Maybe none of this would've happened. We said we were going to open an auto shop together."
"We all feel the urge to condemn ourselves out of guilt, to blame others for our misfortunes and to fantasize about total disaster. Nothing is more wretched than the mind of a man conscious of guilt," Ramon spoke up.
Everybody was quiet, thinking about what he said as Quincy spoke up.
"Meaning that you shouldn't blame yourself for the way Tracy has ended up. It seems that you both were hit hard with tragedy. Of course none of us expected Tracy to do what he's doing now."
"I saw him last night. Behind a bowling alley, on his knees in front of a bull. He was wearing a dress and everything. I keep telling myself that didn't happened, but I heard him swallowing everything."
"We did everything we could to help him. I even offered to pay for rehab," Jerry said.
"I know the old Tracy is in there somewhere. I will bring him back to his senses," Warren said, gripping the beer bottle hard.
"If anybody can do it, I know its you. You two always act like brothers around us. Maybe you can knock some sense into him."
"I intend to if it comes to that," Warren said firmly as Rosie came back.
"Jerry, I'm not feeling so hot. Can you take me home?"
"Sure thing babe," Jerry said getting up. "I'll see you on the flip side Warren. Maybe I'll come down and visit you sometime."
"I'll look forward to it. Nice to see you again Rosie. Send me the baby pictures when it comes," Warren said giving her a hug.
They watched them leave before going quiet, listening to the other patrons in the building along with the music playing from the speakers. Warren finished his beer before standing up.
"Heading out?" Quincy asked.
"Yeah. There are things I want to do before I head back tomorrow. You guys be sure to stay in contact with me. That includes you mister philosopher," Warren grinned, giving Ramon a slap on the back.
"Sure thing," Ramon said, shocking them both.
"Will wonders never cease," Warren laughed, leaving some money for the tip and heading out.
He got to the car and sat in the driver's seat, slipping the key into the ignition as it purred to life.
"Three twenty two. Guess I can try and speak to mom again as long as that asshole isn't there."
///////
The car came to a stop on the curb next to his mother's house. Lucky for him, Phil's car wasn't there but his grandmother's was. Getting out, he walked up the path and rang the doorbell. The door opened a few seconds later as his grandmother looked at him.
"Come to make amends?"
"Somewhat," Warren said.
She let him come in, closing the door behind him. Walking into the living room, he saw his mother on the couch, curled up in a blanket and watching TV. Looking to her left, she saw Warren standing there as she smiled.
"Hey honey," she said softly.
"You okay mom," he asked.
"Just coming down with a bit of a cold. I'll be fine in a day or so. What brings you by?"
He took a seat, hands together as he leaned forward, elbows on his knees.
"I just came to say.......sorry about yesterday."
She smiled before reaching over and holding his hand. He gave it a squeeze before looking at her.
"You have nothing to apologize for. I should be the one saying that. Even though saying sorry is probably not good enough."
She let out a sigh before downcasting her eyes.
"Your brother was furious at me for what I did. I don't blame him. I made the biggest mistake of my life rejecting my own son. I only hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me after all these years."
Warren gave a soft smile before reaching over and giving her a hug. She let out a quiet sob, hugging him tightly.
"I forgive you mom."
"Really?" she asked, looking up at him with teary eyes.
"Yeah. Grandma kind of knocked some sense into me," he said with a grin.
"And I'll do it again if you screw up," she said from the kitchen.
They shared a laugh together as his mom held his hand.
"Where did you go after the incident? We tried to find you, but even your friends didn't know where you went."
"I moved into the Bridge Housing complex. About a couple of blocks from the school."
"Why didn't you tell your brother at least?"
"Cause I knew he would've told you and I didn't feel like dealing with that jerk. If I saw him on the street, I would've kick the shit out of him."
"That's understandable. But Phil has changed over the years. You just have to give him a chance."
Warren shook his head.
"I highly doubt that'll happen. When he attacked you, I lost all respect for him."
"Where are you living now?"
"Maryland Heights."
"Wow, you live in the nice part of the state. What do you do for work?"
"I work for AutoTire fixing cars. Dirty job, but somebody has to do it."
She smiled at that before they heard a car engine pull up and come to a stop. The front door opened and close as Phil's voice was heard.
"Hey love, I got you the cold medi-"
He stopped short when he saw Warren sitting there next to her.
"Hey there Warren."
Warren only gave a nod of his head.
"I got you the Theraflu. I'll make you a cup now."
"Can you stay for dinner?" his grandmother asked. "I'm making your favorite, eggplant casserole."
"I would but there is something I need to take care of tonight," Warren said, thinking about Tracy.
"When do you go back?"
"Tomorrow afternoon."
His mom let out a couple of coughs before pulling the covers tighter around her body as she shivered lightly. Warren gave her another hug before standing up.
"I'll make sure Troy has my address and phone number if you ever want to come by."
"Thank you honey."
Warren gave a smile before walking out and to the car.
"Hey Warren, wait up."
He turned to see Phil coming towards him.
"What do you want?" Warren said bluntly.
"Listen, I know we haven't been on the best of terms, but I was hoping we could put the past behind us and start fresh."
"You put your hands on my mother. There is no starting fresh."
"I've changed Warren. That part of me is gone. I love your mother very dearly."
Warren turned his head to look at Phil, seeing his ears folded slightly and tail twitching nervously.
"Maybe a miracle will happen one day and we'll get along. Until then, you lost all my respect. And I'll tell you this right now, if I ever hear you put your hands on mother again, I'll personally remove them."
Phil swallowed but nodded his head.
"You have my word."
"Good. Now then, if you'll excuse me, I have something to attend to."
Phil nodded his head and Warren got into the car. Starting the ignition, he took off down the street and stopped at a light. He saw that the car needed gas. Pulling into a gas station, he moved close to a pump and got out.
"Damn, gas is still high," Warren grumbled.
Putting the pump in, he started fueling up, trying to figure out how to reach Tracy. There had to be something he could do? But if it came down to it, he would beat it out of him. Hearing the click of the pump, he replaced the nuzzle and went inside to pay, grabbing a soda before heading back into the car. It was time for the showdown.
////////
He waited until night time to go back to Hazelwood. He had no clue on where to start looking, so he decided to head over to his old apartment. Tracy did say he was moving somewhere not to far from here. He decided to make his old apartment the starting point of his search. He really didn't know Hazelwood that well as he drove around, trying to find his friend. Seconds turned to minutes. Minutes turned to hours as he drove around and around without any luck. It was almost ten thirty when his phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hey bro, where you at?"
"Over Q's house," Warren lied.
"Well just make sure you are back here by eight tomorrow morning. Debbie has to go to work."
"Got it," Warren said hanging up.
He was getting frustrated. Not that he couldn't find him, but because his friend was going through so much pain and he wouldn't let anybody help him. He didn't want to give up. He gave up on him once, he wouldn't do it again.
"Come on Tracy, where the hell are you?" Warren said, turning down another dark street.
Fate must've been good to him cause across the street at an abandoned gas station was the person he was looking for. Tracy was leaning on the boarded up building, trying to woo a deer. The black mini skirt he wore along with matching stockings and fishnet gloves seemed to be doing the trick as the deer was looking nervously from left to right as if somebody was coming to arrest him. Warren parked the car and got out. He snuck up from the left as he listened in on the conversation.
"I don't know. I'm not gay."
"Don't have to be gay cutie. Nobody has to know. We can go behind the building and I can make you feel things you never felt before."
"I.....I really want to.....but I'm married."
"Forget about your wife. This is a night just for you to unwind and let go."
Warren heard the deer sigh before speaking up again.
"I.....I'm sorry. I can't do it."
The deer walked away, leaving Tracy behind. Tracy let out a growl before hitting the building.
"God dammit. I should've had him. Most married people would kill for an opportunity like this. I even gave him a discount."
Warren walked out from the shadows making Tracy turn around quickly, thinking it was the cops.
"Christ Warren, you scared me."
"I've come to knock some sense into you," Warren said.
Tracy facepalmed himself with a sigh.
"Don't you get it Warren. I don't need your help. I'm doing fine on my own two paws."
"If you think this is fine, you're crazy. Look at yourself for fuck sakes."
"I look rather hot if I say so myself. Wouldn't you agree?" he said, giving a little twirl to show off the dress he wore that hugged his body. "But for some reason, I haven't been doing good tonight. Only brought in about hundred. Thought this place would be better for money. Guess I was wrong."
"This has got to stop Tracy. I know you are better then this," Warren said angrily.
"Before you start rambling and I ignore you, think you can treat me to something to eat? Haven't eaten anything all day."
Warren wanted to say no, but he heard Tracy's stomach give a growl as he sighed.
"Fine. Let's go."
"Thanks buddy," Tracy replied, a happy wag to his tail. "There's a Jack-in-the-box not far from here that's open twenty four hours."
Reluctantly, Warren led Tracy back to the car and headed for the fast food joint. Going through the drive thru window, Tracy ordered a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a chocolate shake. Getting the order, Warren handed the bag to Tracy as he dug into the food like a shark.
"Oh man, did I need that," Tracy said happily after devouring the burger. "Thanks again for that."
"Whatever," Warren replied.
"Hey man, I'm sorry if you don't like the way things turned out, but you need to get use to it. Since I'm not getting anything tonight, just drop me off at my place."
"Where you at this time?"
"Seventeen Riverwood Estates Blvd."
"Aren't those studio apartments?"
"Yep. A friend of mine paid for the first month. I just need to pay him back."
Warren shook his head before heading to the destination. The apartments were on the nice side of town, with police patrols and neighborhood watch programs. The tenants were friendly and the leasing people always made sure everything was in working order. Pulling to a stop at the four story complex, they got out and headed for the entrance. Tracy pulled out a magnetic key as the front doors unlocked.
"Gotta love security," Tracy smiled.
They waited in the lobby for the elevator, taking it to the top floor. Walking all the way down the hall, they stopped at room four zero seven. The door opened with a click from the key as they walked in. The place was about the size of Troy's living room, with the exception of the bathroom in the corner. Everything was all clumped together, giving Warren a closed in feeling. A twin size bed was in the corner with a thin blanket covering it. He brought the table from the old apartment and had it set up by the wall with the two chairs.
"God, this night sucked. I thought I would get more than this," Tracy said angrily.
"This has got stop Tracy. I can't stand to see you like this."
"The door's right there. Nobody's stopping you," Tracy said, taking a seat on a chair.
"Tracy, please, you have got to stop this."
"You're starting to sound like a broken record Warren. Its getting old."
"I don't want to come back here and find you dead in some god damn alley with a needle in your arm."
Tracy laughed at that before yawning loudly.
"I'm not a rookie. You kind of insult me."
"The Tracy I knew was stronger than this. He knew that if he had any kind of hardship, he could go to his friends. Now, I only see a weak, pathetic junkie. A shell of the person that I once called a friend, a brother."
A vicious snarl left Tracy muzzle as he stood up and stared Warren straight in the face.
"Friend or not Warren, nobody speaks to me like that unless they want to keep their front teeth."
"If I have to beat some sense into Tracy, I'll do it."
"I like to see you try. You wouldn't dare hit your old friend?" Tracy said with a smug grin.
The next thing Tracy knew, he was on the floor, letting out a whine as his jaw stung. He looked up at Warren who was shaking his hand.
"You asked for it Tracy."
"Yes I did," Tracy said getting up and rubbing his jaw. "You got a mean swing there. I'm sorry."
Warren relaxed his stance, which was a bad move as Tracy rushed forward and dished out a punch of his own sending Warren against the wall. While he was stunned, he followed up with another one sending him to the ground.
"You should've let things go. I told you, I don't need your help."
Warren got up slowly, licking the side of his lip as he tasted blood. He gave an evil grin before they both went at. Grunting, growling, and the sound of their bodies impacting the ground was all you heard. Luckily the walls were soundproof as they tossed each other against it, trying to gain the upper hand. Soon, they were at a stalemate as they circled each other, breathing heavily. Warren's nose and lip were bleeding and had a bite mark on his arm while Tracy's dress was ripped and about to come off, spots of blood on it from his nose.
"What's......the point of this huh?" Tracy said angrily. "What is this going to prove?"
"It's not going to prove anything. I said I was going to knock some sense into you, and I will keep that promise."
Tracy growled angrily before coming at Warren again. He took a swing at him which Warren ducked easily. Warren set his feet, and delivered a massive body blow to the stomach making Tracy yelp and go to both knees in pain, trying to collect the air that was knocked out of him. Not finished with him, he grabbed Tracy by the throat and body slammed him through the fold up table, breaking it in the process. A high pitched yelp came from Tracy as he laid there sprawled out on the broken pieces. Warren took a seat on one of the chairs and just looked at the downed husky. It was there, something caught his attention. Looking closely, he saw that Tracy wasn't wearing anything underneath the skirt as his sheath and balls were showing proudly. Something stirred within Warren as he was transfixed on Tracy's equipment.
"What the hell's wrong with me? Why am I thinking like that? But he is kind of hot dressed like that."
The tightness in his pants became noticeable. He hasn't been lucky in the last couple of months and was kind of backed up. Sure, beating off was fine, but he needed something more. If he did this, there was no turning back. Fuck it, what did he have to lose? He took off his shoes, tossing them behind him before getting up and walking over to Tracy. Tracy let out a small whine feeling his hurt body get lifted easily and tossed onto the bed chest down. He took off his clothes, his seven inch cock standing proudly as he took a seat on the bed next to Tracy. Grabbing his head, he opened his mouth and slammed home making Tracy gag in surprise.
"If you bite, I'll break your teeth," Warren said, beginning to thrust into that hot muzzle.
Tracy managed to get his gag reflex down, feeling the smooth cock going back and forth across his tongue. Once he realized what was going on, his other side took over. His tongue began to curl and lap around the tip, tasting the small drips of pre that he was coaxing out. Warren couldn't help but grunt as he felt Tracy begin to take over, moving his head up and down with a moan. He leaned back on the bed, hands balling up the cover as he never felt anything like this. Sure he had blowjobs before, but this was on a whole different level.
"Fuck," Warren said, his breathing picking up.
Tracy released the tasty treat in his mouth before he started to work on the balls, sucking and coating them with saliva. He slid one of his paws down to his hard doggie cock that was leaking pre onto his skirt and started to jerk himself off. Giving the family jewels enough attention, he went back to the shaft, increasing the suction making Warren hiss in pleasure and toes curl. That was pretty much all Warren could take, as he pulled his cock from that hot muzzle, glistening with saliva.
"Get on the bed," Warren commanded. "And lose the dress."
Tracy didn't hesitate as he hopped on the bed. He pulled the dress over his head showing his soft fur and toned body. His tail was raised high and awaiting. God, just that pose alone made Warren's cock throb harder. He got behind him, hands on his furry hips as he rubbed his hard on between Tracy's cheeks making him whine. Grinning, Warren spun the husky quickly onto his back getting a yip in surprise before their lips mashed together in a heated kiss. Tongues lashed together and saliva was shared as Tracy threw his arms around Warren's back. Warren slowly aligned his hard on during the kiss and hilted himself completely into Tracy's hungry backside.
"Fuck," Tracy growled out in mixed pleasure and pain.
Warren never felt anything like this. The women he had in the past were great, but nothing could compare to the warmth and tightness that was Tracy's ass. He relished in the pleasure he was feeling before the walls began to tighten up and relax on him, coaxing him to thrust hard and fast. Sitting up, he began to piston into the body below him, hearing the whines of pleasure. He looked down, seeing Tracy's eyes half closed, tongue hanging out as his erection swung back and forth in the air.
"Harder," Tracy whined. "Fuck me harder."
Warren hilted himself before leaning down, bringing Tracy's legs closer to his head. At that angle, every thrust he did struck that special spot in Tracy's body making him squeeze harder and shoot pre onto his chest. His knot began to form at a rapid pace along with his orgasm. He threw his head back, drool coming out the side of his mouth as his eyes rolled into his skull. Sweat started to form on Warren's body as he plowed into that tight husky ass with everything he had making the bed shake vigorously with his actions.
"Shit, I can feel it coming fast. But I want to make this last," Warren huffed to himself.
He gave a few more deep thrust before painfully pulling out, dropping the legs he was holding onto the bed and watching the puckered opening shrink back to normal. Tracy looked up at him in confusion. His was so close to cumming, only to have that sensation start to fade and make his cock throb hard in need, his knot fully enlarged out of the sheath and ready to unload its life giving seed.
'Why did you-"
"Assume the position."
Tracy stood up, getting to his hands and knees, panting happily as he drooled pre onto the covers. He look back at Warren with half lidded eyes, waiting to be filled again. Warren didn't hesitate as he plowed back into that opening getting a yip from Tracy. Hands holding those furry hips roughly, he began to ravage the husky below him. He had more leverage like this as he pulled Tracy's body into him, going as deep as possible with each thrust, feeling those furry orbs connect with his. Tracy loved every minute of this as he arched his back and met every thrust with his own. That wonderful feeling was coming again, more powerful than ever and he wanted it so bad he could taste it.
"I.....I...nnnnggh....gonna....cum."
Warren felt the body underneath him shake heavily, the clenching of the tunnel he was plowing becoming tighter and tighter. He wasn't far from coming himself as his balls began to churn and pull into his body. He was surprised he lasted this long with how hot and tight Tracy was. A groan left his mouth as he doubled his speed, the loud slapping of their connecting bodies echoed as Tracy moaned loudly.
"Yesss," he whined.
Warren dug his hands harder into those thighs, his body telling him it was time but he was denying it, wanting to savor this moment. His body soon won out in the end as he gritted his teeth.
"Here......it......comes."
He grabbed Tracy under the arms and sat him in his lap, going balls deep before moaning loudly into his neck as he came harder than he ever did. Tracy whined loudly, ears folding as he felt the hot semen coat his bowels, triggering his own hands free climax as his cock twitched twice before strings of white gold shot forth from the tip. Warren gave him another hard deep thrust, pushing onto that prostate causing an explosion to go off in Tracy head. His eyes went wide in shock before letting out a howl as his climax went supernova, his erection throbbing hard as the next volleys of cum hit the wall with volume as a splat was heard by both of them. They never wanted this moment to end as they rode their orgams out for as long as they could.
"Shit," was all Warren could say as he held Tracy tightly from behind, coming down from probably the best orgasm he ever heard.
Tracy could only moan weakly, still feeling his cock dribble out a little cum onto the bed. He never felt anything like that before and loved every minute of it. They both dropped to the bed sideways, Warren still lodged deep inside Tracy as they caught their breath. No words were spoken by either party as they drifted off to sleep in each other embrace.
Tracy awoke with a jump, feeling an arm around his waist. His first thought was, he finally made enough money to get that hit he wanted. He knew he was in his apartment cause it was void of anything. Yet, there was something else that caught his nose. A scent that was familiar to him and brought back memories. Looking down, he saw the hand and followed it to the body it belonged to, Warren. It all came back to him after a few minutes. The meeting at the gas station, the fight they had, and the angry sex. He saw Warren's pants next to the chair and slowly detached himself. Finding his wallet, he opened it up and found the motherlode.
"Jesus, Warren is loaded. With this kind of cash, I could be set for a few weeks."
Normally, he would just rob the person he slept with and leave, returning when said person left. But this wasn't just any person. This was his friend. He sat down on the edge of bed, still looking at the money in his hands. He felt guilty for even thinking about robbing him. Warren may have left him for five years, but last night, he felt something between them. Something he never thought he would feel again. Tears started to fill his eyes as he realized just how low he really has sunk. Here he was, going to rob the only person he considered a brother. Arms circled his waist making him yip in surprise and drop the money to the ground. Turning his head, he saw Warren looking at him with a frown.
"I'm sorry Warren. I need that fix. I'm sorry for going through your-"
He couldn't finish as his lips met Warren in a soft kiss. He was shocked at first, but slowly melted into it, letting out a soft murr. They broke off slowly as Warren rested his forehead against Tracy.
"If you want money, I can pay you for last night. But, I have a better idea, if you want to hear it?"
Tracy's ears perked up as he looked into Warren's golden eyes.
"What is it?"
"Come with me. I'm sorry I left you all those years in pain when you needed me. But I'm here for you now and will always be here. You will never be alone, not anymore. This could be a fresh start for the both of us as friends, and lovers. There will be no more pain or suffer from here on out. Together, with time, we can work out anything and everything. The decision is yours. If you say no, I will give what is in my wallet and never bother you again. But if you say yes, I will give you all that I have, to get you the help you need and bring you back to your original self."
Tracy was speechless. Here was his friend, willing to drop everything he had to help him. He always thought he was beyond help, but Warren didn't see that. He saw the old Tracy, locked away by drugs and a hard life. Now he knew what that feeling was he felt. It was love. Something he thought he would never feel again. Tears came down his cheek as his buried his head underneath Warren's neck, whining happily.
"Yes! My answer is yes," he replied, tail wagging happily behind him.
Warren smiled and hugged his friend, now turned lover tightly. He knew he would be able to reach Tracy. Sure it took a brawl to do it, but in the end, it was worth it. The sound of a phone ringing caught their attention as Warren reached over and dug it out of his pocket.
"Hello?"
"I said to bring the car back by eight dude. Where the hell are you? Debbie has to go to work soon."
"Sorry, got carried away last night," Warren said, looking at Tracy who blushed a little. "I'll be right there."
He hung up, stuffing the phone back into his pocket before getting up and putting his clothes back on. Looking back, he held his hand out to his Tracy with a smile.
"A new beginning always starts with the first step. Shall we my love?"
Tracy smiled happily and nodded his head. Taking his hand, Warren lifted him up and pulled him close before locking their lips together.
/////////
Daft Punk came from the radio on the shelf in the back of the garage as Tracy's tail wag to the beat. He undid another bolt from the engine before smiling.
"Finally got you, you bastard. Damn, whoever worked on you last, stripped you good."
"Hey curly tail, its lunch time."
His ears perked up as stood up from the car, looking to his right to see Warren walking up to him.
"I got us a large Italian with everything on it," Warren said, holding up a Subway bag.
"Even the shaved carrots?" Tracy asked, tail wagging happily.
"Of course."
"Sweet. Let's eat."
They walked into the break room as Warren took a seat. Tracy walked over to the sink and washed his hand, all the dirt and oil going down the drain. Drying his paws, he took a seat next to Warren who handed him a half of sub and dug in. Reaching over, he took a hold of Warren's hand and gave it a squeeze.
"Thank you everything man. I don't know what I would've done without you."
Warren gave him a warm smile. It's been almost two months since they moved in together. True to his word, he got Tracy the help he needed, paying for rehab and sticking by him during the harsh withdrawal. It was hard on them both, but together, they stuck through it. The old gang even came to visit them for his one month of being clean party. It was a great reunion and everybody forgotten that he was once a junkie. Warren even told them about their one night romp which turned into the relationship they were in today. Once he was clean, he got him a job with him at AutoTire. Greg was all to happy to add another mechanic to the roster and he wasn't disappointed. Tracy was just as good as Warren when it came to fixing cars.
"You deserved a second chance. And that's what I'm giving you."
Tracy smiled at that as they munched down on their lunch when Greg walked in.
"You know Warren, ever since Tracy came on board, our productivity and sales have gone up. I guess everybody that comes here spreads the word about us."
"Is that a good thing?" Warren asked, wiping his mouth.
"You damn right it is. The more customers we get, the more money we make."
"And the more headache we get," Tracy added with a chuckle.
Greg laughed at that before shrugging his shoulders.
"That's what happens when I have the two best mechanics around. Speaking of which, are you two almost down out there?"
"I'm still waiting on that convertor for the Camaro. The Altima needs a new alternator and belt and I have the Elantra on an emissions test," Tracy said.
"The Mustang I'm working on needs two struts for the front. All the Sebring needs is an O2 sensor and the Kia needs a front wheel alignment," Warren added.
Greg nodded his head before smiling.
"Good work fellas. Once you guys finish those things, head on home. How was the reunion Warren? Did you find that special someone?"
Warren looked at Tracy before back at Greg.
"Actually, that special someone has always been in my life all along. I just never realized it."
"Told you. Reunion can always be a good thing. Well, I got paper work to handle. You guys finish your lunch and head on back."
"Right boss," they both said.
They watched him leave before Tracy pulled Warren close to him and planted a deep kiss on his lips with a murr.
"That was very sweet of you."
"I meant every word of it."
"I know you did. That's why tonight, I'll show you my 'special' dress."
Warren smiled at that. He loved the dresses that Tracy wore at night in their house. It always brought out the wild side of him.
"Sounds like a plan curly tail. Are we still set for Sunday though?"
Tracy's smiled faded a little before looking down. Warren lifted his chin and looked into his eyes.
"Its okay if you don't want to?"
"No. I want to do this. I know she's probably dying to see me after so long."
"Yeah. You only get one mother. And I'm sure she would love nothing more than to make amends with her son."
"Break's over you two," Greg shouted from the office.
They both chuckled before getting up and washing their hands. Heading back into the garage, they worked on their charges until their shift was over, smiles on their faces as they knew that as long as they had each other, everything will work out.
