Stephen walked casually into the gleaming glass foyer of the Intelli-Pet Corporation, the soles of his leather shoes clicking against the gold flecked black marble of the atrium flooring. He stared in wonder at the artwork - much of which he was sure was original prints, and not some cheap reproduction - then his gaze turned towards the large horseshoe shaped reception desk, behind which he could see the indistinct form of the receptionist, as it touched its left hand to one ear and began speaking quietly, presumably, answering a discrete hands free intercom or telephone.
Stephen idly stepped up to the tall information pedestal, and a holographic projection appeared on the pad before him, a svelte young Gazelle, dressed in a long white lab coat, the automated hologram welcomed him to the Intelli-Pet corporation, then respectfully asked if he wished to peruse their extensive catalogue - or if he - Stephen wondered just how a hologram could tell he was male - had something specific in mind.
"Specific request," Stephen began, then cleared his throat. He despised talking to interactive holograms, then thankfully, he heard the subtle footsteps of the approaching receptionist and he turned away, the hologram giving a respectful bow and vanishing in a sparkle of multi-coloured lighting the pedestal once again going dark.
As he turned, he did a double-take at the receptionist, who stood four feet away, its white paws clasped before a waist-ankle pencil like skirt of a rich, sapphire blue. Stephen's gaze travelled to the feet, noticing they were unclad in shoes and the distinctive three toes of a canine - before his gaze moved back up over the dark coloured blouse - he couldn't help but notice the ample breasts that filled the blouse out attractively - then he stared into the hazel coloured eyes of a Border Collie female, her gaze never wavering. He was stunned by her beautiful coat - it shone in the subtle light and a few fur strands rippled in the sibilant whisper of the air conditioning. She gazed at him with a look of infinite patience, the distinctive white stripe from her forehead to cold, wet nose her most prominent feature.
"Good morning Sir," She spoke, her voice inflected with a faint French accent. "Welcome to the Intelli-Pet Corporation, may I be of service"
Stephen blushed shamefully, realising he'd been staring at her - just - everything about this beautiful young Collie lady - her voice, her markings and even her svelte, five feet two inches tall height - it sent a chill up his spine and he swallowed - visibly moved by her beauty. Even though she sensed the humans interest in her - more than just interest - if her senses were right - the receptionist remained impeccably calm and patient - prepared to wait as long as necessary for the human before her.
"You - forgive me for being so brash," Stephen stammered. "May I - "
Delicately, the Collie held out her left paw, and Stephen gently clasped it in his hand, twisting her wrist slightly to gaze at the four fingers and opposable thumb - each tipped with a silky smooth paw pad.
With no self-confidence or shame, the Border Collie stood as patient as a granite statue, as Stephen ran his finger lightly through her velvety fur along her neck, then the watch band he wore chirped and he was a moment - before he remembered what that noise meant. He shuddered, then stared slack-jawed like some yokel from the hills, as his mind processed this startling revelation.
"You're a - " He began, then words failed him.
"Yes sir," Replied the Collie, inclining her head in a slight bow. "I am a product of the Intelli-Pet corporation, registered and micro chipped, as per Federal Regulation - "
She continued speaking, rattling off the appropriate legislation and numbers, as Stephen unashamedly watched her muzzle moving, the long, broad tongue as it inflected each word in turn, the sparkling white canines.
"Incredible..." Stephen whispered, as he walked around the Collie, who stopped speaking and stood once again like a statue, completely at ease - immune to the feelings like she was a prime piece of meat on display in some butchers shop - she had no inkling of shame or self-consciousness - as any such thoughts had been removed from her thought processes when she had been designed for this one particular purpose, by the technicians of the Intelli-Pet Corporation.
"If I - " Stephen whispered, as he began gently squeesing her arm, feeling the delicate bones beneath the flesh and blood.
"If you desired sir, an exact replica of me in every detail - could be created with your exact specifications - " Spoke the Collie delicately, as she remained in her relaxed pose, white gloved paws clasped before her.
"I could - " Stephen asked, then shook his head and laughed softly. "Forgive me milady, I did not mean to be disrespectful."
"I am the one who wishes to apologise Sir, as an Intelli-Pet Corporation creation - I did not mean to give the impression that I was of the Anthropomorphic people - my creators designed me as an aesthetically pleasing creation, trained to perform my task as a receptionist and to greet customers of the Corporation." She replied honestly, no the slightest hint of being offended or upset under his touch. "I exist purely to fulfil my task Sir, how may I assist you today?"
*
Stephen was specific in his wishes for the two animals in question, and he answered the questions posed to him by the Border Collie receptionist politely and respectfully - blushing more than once at some of the specifics of his request, but she never so much as twitched a single hair on her head - sure - his specifications were a little on the obscure side, but she did not have the training or even mental capacity, to question a human - or anthropomorphic animal, it was as if she only had 'pre-assigned' responses to stimuli and questions - which in fact - was correct, despite by all definitions, she was fully 'sentient' - some things were intentionally excluded by the Corporation in their products.
*
At last he nodded, as he see a small representation of the two animals in question, their statistics from height, weight, sex and even down to the minute details of training and personality. Patiently the Collie waited, as Stephen fought his own emotions, before he bushed deeply and coughed delicately into a hand.
With imperviousness hardwired into her, the Collie remained calm and resolute, waiting patiently as Stephen began pacing, biting one knuckle on his hand an wrestling with his doubts and feelings.
"Could you - I mean - " His head snapped around, as if expecting to see the Federal Police charge into the lobby at a second.
Tilting her head to the side, the Collie frowned slightly, as she swiftly thought through a thousand possible responses to the unfinished question, before she smiled brightly and nodded. "Of course sir, you are aware of the - "
"Yes, yes," Stephen blushed worse, then hurriedly touched his credit chip against the scanner. It beeped and he put it back into his wallet.
"Thank you sir, and please enjoy your purchase in good health, they shall be delivered to you in a month, as per your order request, thank you for your patronage of the Intelli-Pet Corporation and have a pleasant day, your patronage has been appreciated." Spoke the Collie, as she smiled innocently, then gave a respectful bow and returned to her desk, her hips swaying slowly from side to side as she walked with a distinctly feminine walk.
Stephen felt the vague stirring of arousal, watching the Collie walk away, and he shuddered, before he smiled to himself and left the premises.
*
Exactly one month to the day, the Intelli-Pet Corporation vehicle rolled to a stop outside Stephen's home, and two gentlemen climbed down from the truck and one knocked politely on the door, whilst the other stood patiently next to the vehicle. Stephen opened the door, and nodded to the delivery driver.
"Please sign here, and here and initial here, Sir," Spoke the man, gesturing with the electronic pen to the pad he held.
Stephen did as instructed, before he finally signed, he scanned the terms and condiitons, before nodding and placing his final signature.
"Thank you sir, where shall we deliver them?" Inquired the man, as he began to turn away.
"Drive through the side gate, its unlocked, please drop them off there - I'll be waiting."
*
After they delivered the two animals, Stephen stood before them and gazed in amazement. One was a Whitetail Doe, who stood four feet at the withers, her beautiful brown fur and distinctive black muzzle stripe unmistakably identifying her as such - almost as obvious, was the over-large brown tail that stood like a flagpole from her rump, as she stood patiently, under her new owners gaze.
He looked her over in facination, she was perfect in every way - more than he had hoped for, then he turned his gaze to the other.
It was a Palomino stallion, standing five feet at the withers, his golden coat reflecting the early morning sun and the luxuriant platinum coloured mane and tail as soft as silk. Inquisitively, the stallion flicked his ears forwards, his hazel eyes gazing at his new owner with a look of intelligence and adoration, but it didn't move a muscle as Stephen ran his fingers down the stallions' spine and rump.
"Beautiful - " Stephen whispered, as his fingers ran through the stallions long tail, that stopped two inches above the ground. "Both of you are beautiful beyond word, a perfectly designed creature, exact in every way I could have ever imagined."
Stallion and Doe gazed back, before they did an unexpected thing, they both bowed their heads and stretched their long left legs out before them, laying their neck and heads along the outstretched foreleg in a deep and respectful bow. Stephen had no idea this was even possible - yet they held that unnatural pose until he laughed with pleasure and gestured with his fingers they should rise.
"You're more pefect than I could have dreamed- "Stephen murmured, as he ruffled the Doe's head, feeling the silky smooth fur on her ears, then did the same to he stallion. "Now, I am your new master, my name is Stephen, and from this moment, you belong to me - however - "
Stallion and Doe exchanged sideways glances, then turned their full gaze back on their new owner, giving him their undivided attention.
"I assume, I am correct in that you both are fully aware, and - " Stephen lowered his voice, stepping between them and turning about, lowing himself to his knees so he could whisper at them. "...have received training, as per my request."
"Yes master," They replied, equally quiet, but without a hint of embarassment or shame at their deep training. "We exist to please you master, in whatever way we may, you have only to ask it of us, and we will obey."
Stephen couldn't repress the shiver that ran through him as he rose and ran his fingers down their spines, and once again, the Doe and Stallion exchanged a glance, before turning their heads back to face forwards.
"Please, do not call me master - " Stephen told them, as he again began stroking their furred rumps, feeling the warm flesh and fur. "I own you - by law - but here, in my home, you are my friends, and my companions, I never 'owned' an animal in its life, that implies that I control it in every sense of it and - "
"Master," Spoke the Doe, as she turned her head to glance over her shoulder. "may I speak?"
"Of course, my dear, sweet Doe. I want you both to speak your minds, whenever we are alone - if another master or mistress - " Stephen caught himself, then coughed and signed. "Forgive me, if another human or Anthro comes to my home, you will remain quiet unless asked a direct question - and you shall address them as Master, or Mistress - when it is just us, like this, please call me Stephen."
"Thank you mas-" began the Doe, before she gave a respectful nod. "Stephen, we shall do our best to remember your orders, sir."
"I shall give you both new names, my lovely Doe, you shall be called Rosalie, Rosie for short - " Stephen began, as he ran his fingers lightly over the Doe's tail.
Appeciatively, she gave a few flags of her tail against his fingers, then nodded.
Turning to the golden furred stallion, Stephen caressed the stallions flanks - usually this would make any equine snort and flatten its ears, but the stallion remained perfetly calm and almost oblivious - the only hint was him switching his ears back to better hear his new owner.
"You I shall call - Palen." Stephen nodded. "Do you both like your names?"
"We are Palen and Rosalie," they replied, without any hesitation and gave a nod of their heads.
Stephen nodded and again ran his fingers through the fur on their tails, and both equine and doe obediently lifted them - except in Palen's case, he couldn't lift it fully - instead it draped like a waterfall - only a few inches of the tailbone hidden beneath it allowing him to hold it as high as he could manage. Stephen glanced from the Doe's pale furred rump, noticing ni amazement how even here - the technician's at the Intelli-Pet Corporation hadn't skimped in the slightest - noting the fine hairs around her labial folds, then he glanced at Palen's golden rump, the tightly puckered anus and creamy thighs.
"Incredible - " Stephen shuddered, before he patted their rumps and they obediently dropped their tails.
"Fully...trained and - " Stephen whispered, as he ran his fingers the wrong way up their spines, then shuddered.
"Yes sir," They replied, once again respectful and polite, without any hint of shame at the thoughts that had been imprinted on them as part of their training. "Sir, some things - we can not do, as we do not have paws - "
"I know my loves, oh I know, it is of no concequence, I'm sure you both know many - things - and are completely adequate in other ways and will, with your amazing powers of thought and rational thinking - might even come up with other methods - your trainers never considered."
"We exist to obey, Stephen." Both Doe and Stallion replied in a quiet voice. "Your wish, if we can, we shall obey to the best of our abilities."
"I know you will, my beautiful, gentle spirited friends - I know you will, now, come with me - I will show you where you will live - inside with me, but you will be fitted with special small electronic tagging, so you may come and go into the back field whenever you wish - the gates and doors will open as you approach, and close when you walk through. Now, please follow me..."
