Intermission Un: Shocker's Comeuppance...
Shocker was busy at the table, shuffling the cards out of boredom when he saw a shadow behind him. He scoffed.
"Back for more? I'm sure you'd have enough after I totally destroyed you..." He turned around, expecting to see Adam for a rematch...
What he wasn't expecting was Hazel-Lovely.
"Oh, I just came to see if you still wanted to play. I'm still in, but if you wanna quit, I understand." She snacked on an ice cream sandwich as she spoke, making her seem innocent yet snarky. Shocker looked at her as if she was a speck in the wind.
"Nah...I'll play...It'll just show even I can beat you." he responded, putting down the deck. Five cards were already set for each hand. "Normal rules, none of that Triples & Doubles BS like earlier."
Hazel-Bless Her Kawaii Soul And Her Children shrugged; she couldn't really care less. She was going for the win!
"Alright, let's get started." Shocker stated, shifting his hand around to intimidate Hazel-Darling to lessening avail; she was busy making faces at her hand. The Base was a red '4', so Shocker drew a card, placing it back down to reveal the blue version of the Base. Dear little Hazel looked up from her face-making and placed a blue '+2'.
'Well then...' Shocker thought to himself as he picked up his cards, not expecting an early forced-draw.
Since he drew, Kora went again, this time a green '+2'. Shocker cursed to himself as he was forced again to draw more cards. As if feeling pity for him-in his eyes at least-Hazel placed a green '1'.
"Hazel..." Shocker said.
-Green 2-
"Yeah?" she replied.
~Blue 2~
"You might as well quit while you can stop. I'm not-Blue 5- saying you're bad or because you're a girl..." But she didn't let him finish, because suddenly her hand was empty.
"...What the fuck?" Instead of inside voices, his inhibitions went out the window as he looked at her empty hand.
"Oh! Uno, Uno Out!" she called. Dammit, Shocker thought, he coulda called that.
"Best 2 out of 3."
"You got it Shock!"
"Uno." Hazel-Lovely called again, Shocker smashing his fist against the table as he had beyond a full hand at this point. How was she so damn LUCKY!?
'Okay, Shocker...You got this...Just gotta...believe in yourself...Just gotta calm-."
-Wild Card: Green-
"Uno Out!" She had threw down a Wild Card herself.
"Dammit, dammit, dammit, dammit, dammit, dammit, dammit, dammit, dammit, dammit, DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT..." That's all he said as he threw down each of his cards down one by one until he hit the last one.
"Best 3 out of 5?" Hazel-Gorgeous asked, licking her cherry lollipop.
"...fine.?
"Uno Out!"
"FUCK!"
Yet another loss, yet another outburst as Shocker stomped out of the room...Then, he came back with Jewel.
"Best 4 out of 7!" he announced, pointing at her accursedly. She simply moved his finger out of her face and responded,
"It's on..."
"Uno!"
"Uno!" They had both been going at it like feral gerbils-or was it feral Ratticates now?- for the past few minutes, not relenting on each other.
'Come on Shocker, you got this!' Jewel cheered, even garnered in a cheerleader outfit as moral support.
Hazel's turn; not sure if that mattered...But wait! She picked up! Shocker mentally rejoiced as he had his chance. The Base was a yellow '4', so he looked at his card...
And curse when he saw it wasn't even a four.
"Oh? Not gonna go? Okay, draw two. Uno. And draw another two. Uno out." Hazel placed her cards down gently, licking her ice cream cone.
Shocker wasn't even mad at this point; he almost had her, so he'll just try again.
"Best 5 out of 9."
"Okay!"
...
"Uno-."
"Just!...Best 6 out of 11..."
"Fine..."
Well this is interesting.
"UNO OUT!" Shocker placed his cards down, feeling like the king of the world now that he finally beat Hazel...
Or did he?
"Hey, no cheating! I see that card on your thigh!"
'FUUUUUUCK!' Shocker inwardly yelled as the card he tried to hide while he drew a while back was seen before it fell to the ground.
"Now pick up your cards...And Uno Out." she said,, popping some gum in her mouth. Wow, she is just beasting, eh?
"...Best 7 out of 13?" Hazel-Darling asked, final card to place in the air, but stalling to check with Shocker. He simply nodded his head, already through with this.
He will beat her.
Okay, this is getting nice and-
"UNO...OUUUUUUUT!" Shocker screamed, throwing down his card. Just to make sure, Hazel-Lovely looked around him for any cards, but found none.
"Good job Shock!"
"You best believe it! I'm the best there is, bitches!"
I don't know who he thinks he's talking to but...
"...But you do know that was the only time you legitimately beat me, right?"
"...Fuck."
What a way to end this game of Uno?
Will Shocker make a comeback?
