#1 of The Bear's New Friend

Commissioned by FA: Taiko as a two part series, we have his character Nor in a bit of a sticky situation, with someone trying to crack the codes of the mule android to get at the alien tech inside him. Just when things seem bleakest....well, he finds out that they can get a whole lot weirder.

Nor's New Friend for Taiko by Draconicon

Get out of my head!

It was a futile scream; not only did it not even get past his lips - no surprise, with the metal rod stuffed past them and inflated to the point of discomfort - but the hacker behind him had no way of actually reading his thoughts. Merely - and this was the terrifying part - re-writing them.

Nor screamed again as the shocks slipped over his tongue, each one another bit of code that was sliding past his defenses, pushing at the digital defenses further inside of his body. Each time he felt them buckle a little bit more, each time get a little bit weaker. The brute-force attempt was gradually wearing him down. And no wonder, considering he'd been tied up for almost a week now, getting battered at all hours of the day in his mind.

The mule grunted, hanging from wires and straps from the ceiling as the little weasel who'd captured him giggled in the corner, looking up at him and rubbing his hands together. So...stereotypical, he might have thought if he wasn't so focused on keeping his core from being taken over.

"Mmm, you know what, Nor?"

I don't care, I don't care, shut up. Don't need a distraction.

"Your body isn't even the reason I came after you. Not like half of those villains you deal with. Not the body, not the attractive little ass you keep shaking as you run all around the city."

Not my fault, stop talking, can't listen.

"It's that -"

Don't say it.

"It's that programming of yours. It's so..."

Nor groaned, the mule trying his best to tune out the rambling going on in the background. The weasel kept talking about how he was different, how he was in it purely for the science of it, for the fascination of how much he could do with the programming and the strange technology that made up the mule's current body.

Not that it meant much, considering he was gagged with a dildo. A dildo that was used to carry electrical commands to the rest of his body, but a dildo all the same.

He gasped, biting down hard on it as another shock hit him, deeper than the rest. The programming around his core, all the firewalls and defenses, were slowly crumbling around him. He could feel the digital tendrils of the weasel's hacking surrounding him, squeezing him like the Steel Python had just a few weeks ago. The mule bit down harder, marshalling all of his reserves.

It wasn't enough. With a 'crack' that only he could hear, the shell around his core split apart. Nor's eyes went back, going completely blank as he stared towards the ceiling. Ones and zeroes filled his mind and his vision, and a steady beeping filled his ears, getting louder and louder with the weasel's laughter.

He collapsed against the wires, the last sensation before he blacked out a sudden silence.

"Fucking hydraulic doors..."

Olag grunted as he pushed the wreckage of the door out of the way, clapping his hands together to shake off a bit of dust. The polar bear stepped into the room, and chuckled.

"Heh, thought you were supposed to be some big science genius or something, Mr. Shorts."

"It's...It's Oliver Short, bear. And you have no business being here. Your employer promised me complete and total autonomy!"

"Yeah, about that?"

Olag stepped to the side, clearing the door for his boss. A mouse in a red suit and white mask stepped inside, tail twitching lightly from side to side. The bear smirked a bit as Salla stepped past him, gesturing down.

"He's been wanting to tell you something."

"Mr. Sa-"

"Man in Red, if you please."

The mouse's clipped tone was the only indication of his annoyance, and the bear smirked as he walked towards the main attraction of the room. It was usually pretty fun watching the little mouse cut people down with his words, but right now, he had something more interesting on his brain.

He'd heard of androids, but this was the first time that he'd gotten a good look at one. The mule suspended from the ceiling was in pretty damn good shape, too. Big muscles along his arms and legs, a well-toned torso. He squeezed the arm, and nodded in approval at how firm it was. And real firmness, too, not like that cheap crap metal that most robots were made of. This guy was kept in pretty damn good shape.

And not just muscle-wise, either. The polar bear smirked as he walked around the equine, grabbing his exposed ass and pulling at the ass cheeks. Hard muscle, but with just enough bounce to keep his attention; perfect.

Man, whoever made you kept you pretty much true to life, didn't they? he thought as he pulled the ass cheeks apart. A puckered hole, slightly used looking, stood out between them. He chuckled as he thought of using that mouth connection back there, and wondered why the weasel hadn't bothered.

He glanced up, noticing that his boss was still ripping Mr. Shorts - his personal nickname for the tiny little fuck - a new one, and glanced back at the android. Just looking at that ass, his cock was twitching. Too long since he pulled one of the crew off to the side for some fun; maybe he could -

"Get cock away from asset, if you please."

"Ugh."

The bear grumbled as he looked around the mule, spotting the boss' science advisor walking over. He rolled his eyes at the tigress.

"Tatyana."

"Olag. I said, cock away from asset."

The bear stepped back, though not without some annoyance. His loincloth - his only clothes - was barely enough to cover his bulge as he stepped away, shaking his head as Tatyana stepped in, looking over the console and some of the connections. The way her eyes lit up, he had little doubt that she was going to claim the mule for her own. Probably experiment on him for days, weeks, months if she could keep Salla from grabbing him.

Speaking of which...

"B-b-but sir! I'm so close! I was just about to -"

"Unless you're about to say that you're about to pay me back, shut up."

Olag chuckled as he stepped behind his boss. At least he could get the climax of this little show. The mouse gestured towards the equipment in the room.

"All of this was loaned to you with the understanding that you would turn a profit on it. That, or you would ensure that you had a proper diagnosis of what causes the super-gene to occur in the natural superheroes, or a chink in the armor of the mechanical ones. In over four months, you have come up with nothing. No profits, no secrets."

"I-I swear, I was j-just about to -"

"Did you actually finish?"

"...No."

"Do you have any stolen goods worth anything?"

".......No."

"Do you have anything at all that I can take, aside from the machinery and the loans that I gave you to set this all up?"

"I have this android!"

"That covers the interest, not the principal. And I will take that as a no. Olag, get the crew in here. We're stripping it bare. And you, Oliver..."

Salla gestured at the bear.

"You'll have a chance to get away. A little fight with my associate here. He hasn't burned off any steam for weeks; if you can manage to keep standing for one minute, then I'll let you leave. If you can't, then I'll make sure that Novus Ager has a good 'tip' as to where you are. I'm sure that the reward for your arrest will make up for some of my losses here."

"Boss, you sure about this?"

"Why, Olag? Are you worried that you'll lose?"

"Nah."

The bear stepped around the mouse, cracking his knuckles as he approached.

"Just thinking this little pain in the ass is gonna be a pancake in two seconds."

Nor drifted in the darkness of his personal cyberspace, his identity stripped down to little more than the core lines of code that made up his mentality. The darkness seemed to go on forever around him, spreading out to infinity, with only the green light of his ones and zeroes to give any definition to it.

But he was still alive, still together. The core of him had been broken open, but he could repair that. He always did.

Admittedly, it wasn't usually this shattered, this broken apart, but it always came back together eventually. The lines of code stretched out, the green light coming off of them consolidating into new numbers, new pieces of code that pushed out further and further, reaching deeper into the darkness. Without the constant shocks and static around him, he could feel the rebuilding beginning, the walls of the core starting to come up again.

If the coded mule could have smiled, he would have. All he needed was time.

Two seconds, my ass. He didn't even last one.

The unconscious weasel was left in a crater in the middle of his own warehouse as the crew started taking the machinery apart and loading it onto the different carts that they'd brought along. The bear shook his head, glancing back towards his boss.

"So, you calling him in?"

"Once we're all out. I'm assuming you left him alive?"

"Yeah, not that I wanted to."

"It's better that you did. Less complications, and less of a search for us if we happen to be implicated."

"Uh huh. Still wouldn't have minded -"

"Let's avoid the vulgarity for now. Tatyana, what are we looking at with the mule here?"

"Fascination. Utter, complete wizardry wrapped up in technological package."

The tigress stepped away from the console, and Olag snuck behind it again, hoping to see some information that made sense to him. Unfortunately, the little black screen was filled with coding garbage, none of which he understood. The bear grimaced, tapping the touchscreen on the console a few times and flicking it up and down to try and find something he could understand, even as Tatyana kept talking.

"This android, far beyond anything we have. Better than 009."

"I would hope he is. 009 is verging on obsoletion."

"Protest, sir. 009 -"

"Is something that you like, and that you keep around because of it. I know, I know...just do keep in mind that I need something solid. Your antique isn't a great comparison."

"Yes, sir."

He glanced up as she poked at the mule android's arms and legs, talking about the muscle tone, and something about 'nanites' and other things. It didn't matter much to him, and as it gave him a headache, he turned back to the read-out, hoping to find -

Oh ho ho, that's something...

As he turned the read-out around a little bit, going towards the end, he saw something most unusual. The bear didn't know much about computer programming, let alone androids, but he was pretty damn sure that they didn't usually add stuff to their own programs while they were being observed.

Flicking his eyes back up, he tapped the screen a few times to bring up a keyboard, and held down 'Backspace.'

Getting there...getting - WHAT THE HELL?!

He'd been doing so well. The whole restructuring of his inner self had been...slow, admittedly, and stymied by the fact that he had so little to rebuild with, but he had been putting out coding tendrils, making sure that things were coming together. He had gotten the foundations of his support and core together, and he was working on getting the walls back up.

And then...it had come.

Not the backspace bar! The mule let out a silent shriek at the sight of the glowing, blinking green line, particularly as it ran down one of the support struts that he'd managed to build up. Munching away like some demonic figure, it devoured everything that he'd put together. He could only stare as it ran across the floor of his core foundation, eating away more and more of the green numbers before heading up the other side.

He chased after it, trying to grab onto it with coding 'hands', trying to stop it, but he couldn't even slow it down. He was dragged right into the pathway, his ones and zeroes scraping into the darkness of his inner cyberspace, losing bits and pieces here and there as he was scraped down. The ones became rounder, and the zeroes became smoother.

Eventually, he was forced to let go, watching as the backspace bar kept devouring all the extras that he'd put out, soon leaving him alone in the dark once more.

Nor groaned, his little coded figure, his core, 'sitting' in the darkness. All alone again...except for that bar bumping against his head again and again, trying to erase the un-erasable.

Huh...wonder why that part won't get deleted...

Olag tapped the button a couple of times, but it refused to delete the last bit of code. Probably for the best; it looked like it was a pretty integral piece, from the way that everything seemed to come from it. Probably better -

"Away from console!"

Tatyana punched him in the arm, and he rolled his eyes. Not even bruise-worthy, really, but she obviously thought it was. And at least she was rubbing her hand; probably felt like punching a brick wall, from what other people told him after a fight.

Nevertheless, he stepped back. She immediately leaned over the screen, flicking her fingers over the touchscreen, and took a deep breath.

"Good. Not ruined."

"As if I fucking could."

"You are dolt when comes to programming."

"I know -"

"Enough, both of you."

They looked up, or rather, down, at Salla. The mouse was pinching the nose of his mask, shaking his head.

"It's quite clear that the android is the most valuable piece of machinery in this whole place. There's no way that we're leaving it behind, but we have no idea what it's for. Do we, Tatyana?"

"Several hypotheses -"

"Short story time, Tatyana. We're on the clock."

"No ideas, sir."

"No. But we know that it's very strong. And we know that there's an 'on-button' in its programming. That means that we can turn it on, and we can make it do things. Is the programming adjustable?"

"Yes."

"And is it something that we can make obey?"

"Theoretically yes."

"Then -"

"Boss, I volunteer to test it when we get back to the ship."

Both of them turned to stare, the mouse curiously - as far as he could tell through the mask - and the tigress in rage. The bear chuckled, giving his chest a hard slap.

"You know me, Boss. If that thing's gonna be a problem, I'm probably the only guy you got that can take it down again. You want to put that thing in Tat's lab and watch it make everything go boom?"

Both of them shivered at that, and Olag had to admit, it wasn't entirely manipulation at that point. That fucking thing had been re-writing itself, somehow. If that thing was smart enough to spread out from a connection, then that lab would be a fucking playground for a very, very smart program. Much as he loved a fight, he did not want to see that happen.

But more than that, he didn't want Tatyana to lock it up and never let him see it again. Something that strong - and with an ass like that - could be just what he was looking for.

"So, what do you say, boss? You gonna let me test that thing out?"

"Sir, must protest. This is delicate machine. Olag might -"

"Tatyana, from everything you've told me, this machine could be dropped from the top of the Empire State Building, have a battleship dropped on top of it, and still come out relatively okay. Olag's not gonna break our latest asset. And hopefully it's not going to break him."

"You're too kind, boss. Next you're gonna say you don't want me to go on suicidal missions anymore."

"Don't push your luck. Anyway, move out, everyone. I want this all back on the ship in ten minutes."

"But ship is thirty away..."

"Ten minutes, and you get a bonus!"

The crew immediately stormed out the door, running at high speed behind the mechanized carts. Tatyana was, of course, among them, leaving just the Man in Red and Olag behind. The polar bear glanced down.

"There's no fucking way they'll make it, is there?"

"Not in the slightest."

"The bonus was a lie, wasn't it?"

"Yep."

"So -"

"Take care of things, Olag. I have an appointment with a few...clients. I will be back at the ship rather late tonight, so, do try not to leave too many dents in the cargo hold? It takes a lot to get those flattened out again."

"You got it, boss."

And I thought that the rabbit was a problem...

At least Technodood had just tried to re-write what was already in him, not delete 95% of his code. With so much gone, it was hard for him to even think straight, let alone figure out how he was going to get out of this one.

The annoying backspace bar continued to thunk against his head again and again, eating away whatever code that he managed to put out. The mule watched it keep eating like a Pac-Man gone crazy, and shook his head. If he could just grow an arm, or a few extra pieces of code to get around it, he might have had a chance. But as it was...

As it was, he was going crazy. Not insane, not angry, but out of pure and simple boredom. The isolation, the inability to do anything, was worse than any of the mental re-writing that he'd undergone before. It was like he was trapped, held down by some overprotective parent, and not allowed to play with any new toys. The mule had never actually had that happen to him before, of course, but it was giving him brand new insight into how people with that upbringing could raise such hell when they grew older.

So many brilliant hackers and machinists out there, and the thing that renders me helpless is someone holding down the delete key...

Still, it meant that they couldn't reprogram him at the same time. In order to make any changes, they'd have to stop deleting what he put out. As soon as that happened, he could take a more active hand. After all the different modifications he'd gone through, Nor had picked up a few programming tips, and he planned to use them to their fullest.

On the plus side, at least he couldn't feel what was happening to his body. He could only imagine the lewd purposes his unconscious form was being put to...

#

As Olag sealed the cargo room door, the polar bear finally let out a long sigh of relief. Getting rid of the crew had been more difficult than usual, even with how eager most of them were to get away from him. It was like they were more fascinated with the machine than afraid of what he'd do if he got his hands on them.

It had been annoying...and a bit of a relief, if he was honest with himself. Rare enough that they didn't get the hell out of the way as soon as they saw him, so even if it was because of something else catching their attention, he'd take it.

"Now, what the fuck do you actually do?"

The bear sat down by the touchscreen console again, looking over the programming that was left over. Not much, and the bear grumbled as he gave himself a headache trying to understand just what the central part meant. It was written in some other programming language - he thought he'd heard Tatyana say it was not of this planet, though it had similarities to several of the ones she knew - and he doubted he'd ever get an understanding of it.

Still, he didn't need to understand that to put something else around it. He just needed to...

Ugh, I hate doing this...

He rooted around through the storage area for a few minutes until he found one of the laptops that Salla had 'procured' from a digital distributor that was overzealous in his ambitions. Simply put, the guy had set up a world-wide porn studio and hadn't paid his bills, leaving Salla to confiscate his stuff and free his whores. The laptops still had a fair bit of porn on them, but they also had the fastest internet connection outside of Tatyana's labs, with some sort of private sub-net connection nobody else had.

The bear turned it on - ignoring the background of a rat getting stuffed with a big bat cock - and turned to some of the programming sites that he had heard of. Sex bots were more of a thing now, and a lot of companies shared their core programming for others to play with. Open sourcing or some shit like that.

Olag chuckled at the idea of making the android something more fun, giving him a good fuck for the day. He'd gotten it from some of the crew members - mostly after getting them too drunk to care - but it would be the first time that the bear had fucked an android.

As he copy-pasted the details down, he paused, looking at the android again. The mule still hung completely limp, eyes glazed over and slightly green, much like the touchscreen.

He's...pretty strong. I wonder...

The bear flicked to a few of the more...reputable programming sites that came up with a sub-net search. It wasn't too hard to find what he was looking for. He just wondered if it was something that would work.

"Okay, now...just gotta put it together...fuck, I wish I had Tatyana's brain for this..."

He chuckled. Not really; if he had her brain, he would probably be trying something far more sane than this.

Nor was about ready to bite the backspace bar when it finally disappeared. Almost giggling in relief at not getting his head bonked and chewed on anymore, the mule leaped to his feet -

File upload in progress.

The soft announcement would have left him wide-eyed in his physical body. As it was, his coded form turned into something very similar to ( 0 0 ) as the sudden barrage of ones and zeroes came in.

No, no. I'm not ready for this! This isn't -

The green block that was the mule's coding was washed away by the tidal wave of - embarrassingly enough - pink colored code, burying him in it and holding him down as the new structure came up around him. His 'thoughts' - for lack of a better term - were drawn outwards, made part of the new structure around him, while the core green was left at the bottom of a pink...

"Now, let's see if this fucking thing works..."

The bear stepped back from the touchscreen, leaving a flashdrive embedded in it with the new programming for the android. If it didn't work, then he'd probably have a pissed off fighter on his hands, someone with who knew what skills, and who knew what power. If it did work...

Well, he hoped it worked.

The bear watched as the wires lowered the mule down to his feet, bracing himself as the mule groaned. A few muscles popped along the bear's shoulders as he kept himself at the ready for anything big, and he put a smile on his face as the mule opened his eyes. They were slightly milky looking, but he put that down to the android booting himself back up.

"So, you're finally awake. What's your name?"

The mule seemed to be disoriented at the sound of his voice, shaking his head back and forth a few times. He shook his head a bit.

"What's your name?"

"...Nor."

"That's your name? Sounds like some fancy word in a paper."

"It's all I can remember...my name..."

"Yeah, well, that's fine."

Olag stepped forward and grabbed the mule by the hand. Ignoring the shocked look on his face, the bear stretched his grin a bit further.

"I'm Olag. And I'm going to be your new friend here."

"Um, I don't...why would you -"

"Heh, don't you remember?"

"I just said I don't remember anything."

"Well, that's fine. I'll just give you new things to remember."

"What?"

"Huh?"

The mule looked more confused than ever, and Olag had to bite back a grimace. He was a fighter, not a plotter, and he definitely wasn't as good at lying as Salla was. He needed a new plan and fast.

"So, how good are you at fighting?"

Nor was more confused than ever. Waking up had been hard enough, considering he had no memories other than his own name. His arms and legs felt...strange, and he thought that he would have remembered the strange striped marks along his arms, legs, and chest. They weren't an outfit, either, and he didn't remember being a nudist.

Why was he in front of this 'Olag' in the nude? Where had he come from? What was going on?

Asked if he was good at fighting, the mule blinked. A strange image came to mind, something about having an alien in his face, an alien that he punched and sent flying into the distance. He looked down at his hands, and clenched them. Muscles - very strong feeling muscles - popped out along his arm.

"Yeah...Yeah, I think I'm good at fighting."

"Well, little buddy, I think you and I are going to have a sparring match."

"What?"

"A sparring match. You know, a fight."

"No, I meant...the other thing. What did you call me?"

"What, little buddy?"

"Yeah..."

Nor blinked a few times, his mind feeling a little fuzzy as he heard the phrase again. It just seemed to tickle at something inside of him. Something very...pink feeling, for some reason. He couldn't have said why, though.

The bear didn't help, either, only shrugging. Nor sighed.

"Well...I guess it doesn't matter. But, uh...are you sure we should spar in here?"

"Why not?"

"Well, it looks like it's got a lot of expensive stuff -"

"Doesn't matter."

"But what about -"

"Doesn't matter, little buddy."

That phrase again, and it felt so strange. Like it was pushing at something in his head. The bear seemed to stare at him all the more when he said it, too, like he was waiting for something to happen. It was kinda freaky...

Yet at the same time, he couldn't really be mad. There was something about the polar bear that made him smile, and Nor chuckled as he raised his fists. He danced from foot to foot, feeling a little like a boxer.

"Alright, big guy. Whenever you're -"

The bear was faster than he looked. A big white fist came out of nowhere, punching him right in the forehead. Nor went head over heels, spinning around twice in the air before coming down hard on his back. The mule groaned at the impact, rubbing the back of his head rather than the point of impact as he got back to his feet.

Olag seemed surprised, but happily so. At least, that's what that grin looked like.

"Oh ho ho, you're something special, little buddy."

"You're probably right. But why?"

"Last time I punched someone like that, they were out cold for a month. But you're right back up."

"I've always recovered fast."

That felt true, though he couldn't have said why. The mule got back into fighting position, and waved the bear over. Something about this...he couldn't remember ever feeling excited about a fight before, but there was something about this that felt good. He was even grinning.

"Come on, big guy. Show me what you got."

"Oh ho, you'll see a lot before I'm done, little buddy."

By the time their sparring match was over, Olag was panting. That in and of itself was new; usually it took fighting a good twenty of Salla's best fighters for that to happen. Now, he'd gotten an even more intense work-out with just one person, and without even beating them to a pulp.

Nor was still standing, though looking shaky as all hell. The mule didn't seem to realize that he was an android yet - thanks to that program - and he sure as hell didn't seem to notice that he was getting repaired. No bruises showed on the skin, and a few dents that had occurred during the fight had already popped back out.

But more than that, the naked mule was popping wood that rivaled his own in hardness. The polar bear's grin felt like it could not get any bigger; not only had the programming made the mule think he was real, think that he had a 'thing' for fighting, but from the way he acted, really wanted to be a 'little buddy' for him.

Olag slowly dropped his fists, shaking his head.

"Man, you are something else, little buddy."

And there it was again. The slight shiver as the phrase was said, the little quiver to the mule's cock. Olag chuckled as he stepped forward, wrapping an arm around the equine's shoulders and supporting him. As soon as they touched, Nor sagged against him, panting softly.

"You're...really strong."

"Worked pretty damn hard to get that way. Next time, I might have to take it up a notch."

"You mean...you weren't fighting as hard as you could?"

"Not yet. Wanted to see how good you could take it."

"I...that's amazing..."

"Heh, well, that's what I am. And you know, that's not all I'm good at."

"Really?"

And as Nor reached out, grabbing hold of his cock without even being asked, Olag found out that his smile could actually get bigger. He glanced down at the mule and saw that he was getting a big grin in return.

"Are you as good with this as you are with your fists?"

"Heh, how about I show you..."

There is no way that you're ever, ever, ever going to Tatyana. Whatever the fuck you are, Nor, you're mine. My little buddy...

The End
