Not Alone II
This is my attempt at a combined Sequel to "Lone Survivors" and "Not Alone." Feel like there was too much to cram into this story, so it might feel rushed at times. I always feel like there is more to write... Surprisingly it only took a little less than two weeks to write from a few sentences to almost 8,200 words.

A twig nestled in the pine straw quietly snapped beneath my footstep. Up above, plenty of birds were active in their calls. The sounds of the mountainous forest were welcome to my ears. Fearing that I had to leave it behind made me appreciate the surprising turn of events that had happened at the abandoned warehouse. The air had a familiar, yet subtle taste and scent that made me feel more comfortable than the hot arid plains. It was no longer dry, dusty, or hot. You could smell the hints of peaty earth and pine trees as well as the moisture in the air.
Walking in single file ahead of me, the werewolves were climbing a steep incline. I occasionally had to pull myself up with the aid of a tree in an effort to keep up, without slowing them down. Hauling a backpack on my shoulders wasn't making the trek any easier. The mottled grey alpha male led the way, followed by his reddish-brown furred mate. It was impossible to see from my angle, but she had a noticeable roundness to her tummy.
'She isn't weighed down at all.' I thought to myself. Despite being pregnant, she never appeared tired, nor did she pass up on hunting yet. Directly behind them was the white and cream furred male. Directly ahead of me was my mate. Her black fur was like a moving shadow, except for the grey-brown hair spilling down her back from the nape of her neck. She looked over her shoulder at me. I offered a grin to let her know that I was fine. Her tail briefly wagged as she resumed climbing higher. One by one, the werewolves ahead disappeared over the top of the incline. When my mate climbed over, I only had a small yet steep incline left. I paused to make a lunge when a large canine hand was offered to me. I gladly accepted.
"Thank you." I was pulled up the last step and a half. Thankfully the wooded land before me was level, so there opulent be so much climbing. Glancing around, the others were waiting patiently for me as I caught my breath. The was nothing monstrous about the looks on their faces. They were nothing like the monsters I had originally believed them to be. The werewolves were cunning, worked efficiently as a team, and proved to be very adaptable. They manipulated their surroundings no different than a human could, utilizing anything within reach as tools. They were inquisitive about my backpack and anything personal that I carried, whether it was my knife or an article of clothing.
"I'm ready." I spoke and held onto the straps of my backpack. Everyone returned to single file and we hiked further into the mountainous woods. The remaining trek was brief compared to the lengthy climbs. We arrived at a tiny clearing, maybe a few meters wide and long at most. It was just enjoy to see the sky unobstructed above. The opening of a den was visible at the base of a mound within the sloping ground. Had I walked in any other direction to the clearing, I would've had no idea that a pack of wolves resided here. Despite the very modest dwelling, this was their home for the warm seasons.
The alpha and his mate disappeared into the den for the night, followed by the other male. Darkness was closing in, and I was more than happy to rest after the lengthy hike through the mountainous woods. I slipped off my backpack. Sitting down a short distance away, I planned to join the others in a while. I was still getting used to sleeping with another person, let alone four at once!
It had been a long journey for me over the past several days, one that didn't seem possible to me in my entire lifetime. Evading death from a werewolf, then befriending that same werewolf, becoming her mate, and then joining her pack. I watched her begin to walk towards the den before pausing to look back at me. Her tail swished before deciding to stay with me.
"Hey. You don't seem tired." I spoke as she sat down beside me and proceeded to lick my ear. She was much more playful and docile when we were with the whole pack. However, when we were alone, she acted more like an alpha, becoming more stoic and protective of me. There was a unique dynamic of being part of a wolf pack that I was only starting to see for myself.
Through the corner of my eye, I noticed a grin on her muzzle. It was hard to see through the remaining daylight and her dark fur, but it was visible. Making sure to brush her side across me, the werewolf stretched out onto her hands in front of me. Walking on all fours she made a little turn to face me eye to eye.
"What are you up to?" I reached out and stroked her furry chin. The top of her head lowered and gently bumped into my chest, but the force nearly knocked me over. Her gesture was subtle, but there was no mistaking her intentions. I wrapped my arms around her in a hug, and ruffled my hands through her fur. The kind warmth and soothing softness were irresistible. She was the connection I had to the world, to something other than myself or my desires. I no longer survived simply for the sake of survival, or to find out more about the ruinous world I lived in. The female werewolf was a part of my life now.
"You're being goofy." I rubbed her neck and ears. When she exhaled, I could feel her warm breath descend onto my lap. Little excited goosebumps formed along my skin. Her black nose prodded at the hem until I hooked my thumbs underneath the hem of the fabric. Lowering my pants and boxers, her nose immediately found what she wanted. I held back a groan as a wet smooth warmth washed over the entirety of my sensitive flesh. Her long tongue always aroused me to great effect, and it only took seconds until I was rigid and ready. Every lick made me clench my teeth as my length pulsated and jumped. She gave one final lick for good measure before easing up, and laying in her back. Moving forward I positioned myself between her legs and loomed directly overtop her. I shivered feeling the tip of my length disappear into the dark fur before touching a very warm entrance.
Her dark eyes looked up at me with the faint reflections of the celestial bodies from above. The wolf was going to remain idle either. Her legs held my sides as her paws crossed behind me. Large claw bearing hands held onto my arms. I trusted her completely. I was in her loving embrace. I glanced over my shoulder to make sure the other three, especially the alpha had fallen asleep at the den's entrance. He never liked it when we mated because his mate was already pregnant, and on one occasion he had bitten us both on the rear during the act.
Without any objections I gently pressed forward, burying my entire length inside her hot pleasurable vice. With a shaky breath I began to make love to her...

The subtle coolness of the early night felt refreshing. Laying on my back, I stared up at the night sky. The stars glittered like tiny unreachable diamonds. Laying beside me, invisible in the night like a shadow, my mate was already asleep. One of my hands rested on her front, feeling every gentle rise and fall of her breath. Likewise, her hand rested on my front the same way. The crickets quietly preening through the darkness were occasionally interrupted by a hooting owl. My mind was just as active as the night.
'Is she a werewolf, or a human?' I wondered to myself about the anthropomorphic person beside me. Was she both? We mated yet again, so were we something else entirely? I listened to her gentle breathing above the sounds of the nighttime insects. There was no response from anyone. She didn't seem to care, so should I?
"Why is the world the way it is?" I mumbled to myself the unanswerable question. "Is there a point to it all?" I wondered as the stars twinkled silently above. Maybe they were trying to tell me, but I couldn't understand. With a tired sigh, it was time for sleep. Rolling onto my side, I snuggled up to the werewolf. There was an indescribable comfort knowing that she was physically beside me. After being alone for so many years, it took a little time to get used to being with someone else. However, it was infinitely better than hearing my own silence. Taking a deep breath through her wild scented fur, my eyes pleasantly closed.
The quiet chirping of birds sounded distant above our soft footsteps. Marching down the forested hill was hardly any easier than climbing it, especially knowing that I would have to ascend every step again at some point. I was carefully where I stepped and kept close to the pack. The werewolves didn't appear rushed in the slightest, so I didn't believe they were out to hunt. I wasn't eager to see them make another kill. I was thankful to have others do the hard work of hunting, but watching four wolves devour an entire deer curbed almost any appetite.
Trekking down the hillside, the ground leveled out modestly. An odd structure came into view, and immediately captivated my interest. White walls were visible. Clearly manmade, it appeared alien in the forest.
"I haven't seen this spot before." I hurried past the others and through the lighter brush. A large amount of rubble mostly covered in leaves was all that remained of the structure; except for a single space outlined by three dilapidated walls and a partial roof. Climbing over the rubble, I found myself in the center of what could've been the remains of a room. Beams of sunlight breached the holes and cracks from the small remaining section of roof. The walls were worn but still standing. The paint had long since faded and chipped away, leaving an odd white coloration behind. My mate cautiously entered the space behind me. Another wolf lingered outside.
Lots of dusty brick, gravel, concrete, mortar, wood, and even bits of metal and plastic littered the place. Among the rubble, cinderblocks had been stacked messily together at some point. Some had even fallen over when a tree root had grown. A long metal desk rested against the back wall, one of the only recognizable items left. Rust encroached along most of its corners and sides. My focus turned to the drawers lingering at both sides of the metal table. Tape on each likely had words written on its surface, but the prolonged exposure to the sun and rain left anything entirely faded. I still had a lingering hope that I would be able to find matching bullets for my now useless handgun. One after another, each drawer I pulled out was empty until I yanked the last drawer open. A sharp metallic sound emitted from the fractious contact of rust. My mate whined and covered her ears.
"Sorry." I looked back and apologized to her. Glancing down at the rusty drawer's contents I was surprised to find something.
"What's this?" I reached in and found a single item stored neatly inside. It looked as if it had been placed there on purpose. "A device?" Holding the small rectangular shape in my hands, it wasn't heavy, but was constructed carefully of metal and plastic. My mate peered curiously at it. She sniffed the device only to exhale loudly. Looking it over, I felt the sides where two tiny buttons were and pressed them.
"I think it's on." A woman's voice spoke from the device. I was startled and nearly jumped. My mate's ears perked up as her head cocked to the side.
"What the..." I stared at the talking machine.
"I'm not sure if we will be going soon." The female voice continued. "It's risky."
"What are you doing? We have to leave!" A man's voice could barely be heard in the background. There was a brief clamor of voices before the recording resumed.
"I know. The scientists created those..." I listened intently for her voice between the interruptions of static and background noise.
"All of those cities... Ours might be next. Those experiments are... I've never seen something like..." A brief yelling in the background overshadowed the woman's voice. "I'm worried that..." The static grew loud once again. A large clawed hand suddenly came into view, and snatched the machine.
"Wha-? Hey!" I turned and found the alpha male standing beside me
The look of rage in his eyes struck fear into my heart. The werewolf threw the device against the closest rubble of concrete. I watched in horror as the small machine was smashed into pieces from a single throw. Whatever was on that recording was now completely inaccessible. It was destroyed forever.
"Why did you do that-?!" I couldn't contain my voice. My mate held onto my arm, preventing me from doing anything stupid. Gritting my teeth, I silently thanked her for stopping me. Challenging the alpha's decision would've led to a conflict, and I was no match for him. Walking away, his ears were flat against his head, and his face clearly frowning. The alpha male didn't like the sound of the machine for whatever reason. Regardless, my anger simmered. I felt so close to learning something, and it had been taken away from me.
"Yawurr!" A sudden noise made everyone's ears perk up. Several barks a short distance away alerted us. The wolves fled the abandoned building in a hurry and I quickly followed. Any yowl or bark was a new sign of danger. Whatever was going on was serious enough for a large wolf to be concerned. I rushed into the woods with them only to skid to a violent halt. My eyes widened in terror at the creature standing before us. A werewolf was normally a full head taller than me, and far stronger physically.
Nearly two heads taller than me, and strikingly bulky was a creature whose fur was orange and white with characteristic black stripes. The anthropomorphic tiger was massive in size, even larger than the alpha wolf. With a body built like that of a human with digitigrade legs, he towered over us all. It was an uncomfortable standoff. Menacing white teeth were bared as the wolves, my mate included, barked and snarled at the feline. The wild look in its dark golden eyes paralyzed me with fear. I felt completely useless without my handgun. I would've felt useless with it in hand, fully loaded.
With a sudden decision the anthropomorphic tiger thankfully turned, and fled down the mountainside. Seeing the large feline disappear in a flash made me jump back.
"Ow!" Despite the adrenaline coursing through my body I felt something sharp scrape against my arm. Staring at my upper arm, I could see a thin line of red appear. I had unknowingly backed up too close to a pine tree, where one of the dead protrusions had caught my skin. I felt the stinging quickly set in and gritted my teeth. My mate approached me. Despite her hackles being raised, the look in her dark eyes softened seeing me hurt. I gasped when her padded hand touched my arm.
'I held my breath that long.' I realized. Her nose smelled me, taking note of the blood. She nudged me to sit down, and I was eager to comply. Nestled beside me, she wrapped her arms around me to hold me still. The warmth of her smooth tongue began washing over the cut, lapping away the blood. I started shaking as I calmed down from the encounter.
"Sorry." I managed to say as she licked my wound.
Encountering or even seeing monstrous creatures like the tiger was more than enough reason for me to move from one location to another when I was alone. But with allies, having strength in numbers was crucial to maintaining a permanent territory. Glancing at my arm, I couldn't help but notice how fast my cut was healing. Once dripping blood, I was wondering if there was even going to be a faint mark leftover. Without them, all I had to defend myself with was my knife, but fighting hand to hand with anything in the woods was certainly going to end in my demise. Not wanting to be a burden within the pack, I sought to improvise. I turned a long slender sapling growing beside the den's entrance into a wooden spear. It wasn't much, but at least it could give me a little range when I needed to defend myself.
I was sharpening one end into a pointy tip using my knife when the alpha male took great interest in what I was doing. Glancing up, I tried to ignore his presence. I no longer felt angry at him for destroying the voice recording. After all, he was one of four wolves who had scared off an imposing anthropomorphic tiger away. Had I been at the abandoned home by myself, I likely would've been killed. There was no denying that. But right now, the wolf was becoming a big distraction. Constantly peeked, shuffling around, and looming over me; the way he watched me was oddly human. I could see the inquisitiveness in his canine eyes.
"What?" I stopped and asked the large canine. His gaze was fixated on the item in my hand. He eagerly pointed at it with a clawed finger. I relented and offered it to him. The alpha male took ahold of the unfinished weapon. The wooden pole seemed puny in his large canine hands.
He began swinging it and thrusting it into the air. The wolf wasn't very graceful, but he might be able to use it as a weapon effectively.
"Wow, you could-ow!" One swing accidentally hit me over the head. His ears fell back, and he placed a hand on the top of my head in apology. His pregnant mate's tail wagged with a quirky grin on her muzzle. She seemed to be laughing at the mishap.
"That hurt..." I grumbled. Hunched forward, he offered the unfinished spear back to me. "No thanks." I waved a hand. "You can keep it. I want to go check the traps I set for any rabbits." I told him. It wouldn't be too difficult to make another. My mate eagerly joined me as I set out. I rubbed my head feeling a dull ache already form. 'That's going to be sore.' I told myself.
"Does the alpha always act like that?" I asked my mate. Her ears swiveled around without an answer as we meandered through the woods. "He's aloof, and then suddenly takes interest in what I do." I managed to complain most of the way through the woods while checking each trap. Unfortunately, it looked like I wasn't catching anything. My mate managed to sneak a short distance away. She appeared indifferent towards my complaints. Reaching a particular section of brush, I found another empty trap.
"No luck today." I mumbled at the final untouched trap. Standing up, I stretched my back only to hear faint crunching. 'Why is she over there?' I turned expecting to find my mate, but something else caught my eye through the trees. The sound stopped as the figure stood still. I didn't realize what I was looking at for a moment.
Radiant white skin reminded me of the full moon, but there were defined arms and toned legs. A slim torso, patch of hair, and a pronounced chest were visible. I was looking at a woman standing in the forest. The stark realization of her nakedness suddenly dawned on me. Two round breasts were in plain sight, but she wasn't defenseless. She carried a large rifle in her arms. In an instant she turned and our eyes met. For a brief moment the passage of time stopped.
'Another human...' I couldn't believe my eyes. A woman was standing before me in the forest! The shocked look on her face mirrored my own. I stood petrified like stone at the sight of the naked woman. My heart and mind were racing. I closed my mouth and tried thinking of something to say, but I remained mute. A rustling sound caught both of our attention. A large werewolf I had never see before came into view, partially obscured by the trees. As soon as the canine caught sight of me, my mate wrapped her arms around me and bared her teeth. In an instant the woman darted away with the unknown werewolf.
"She's a woman. A human." I mumbled. My mate still looming protectively over me began nudging my shoulder. I finally stirred from my stupor, wondering for a second if I had imagined the entire scene. I looked at her and then back at the spot where the human was standing. It was no hallucination, and my head swirled with questions.
'Who is that woman?'

The next day, we left the pack's den early in the morning. The air had a cool crispness to its taste, and dew was still fresh wherever it could be found. We quietly walked through the mixture of deciduous trees and evergreens, returning to the area. Everything was quiet, and the silence was telling. The naked woman was nowhere to be seen.
"She was standing right here." I stood in the same spot where I had seen her. Glancing around, there was no evident trail of where she exactly went. Unfortunately, the pine needles held no footprints. She had eerily vanished like a ghost with the other werewolf.
"Can you smell her?" I pointed to her nose, and then mine. The wolf smelled the area for a trace. It only took a moment before her ears perked up as she detected a scent. She pointed ahead and led the way. I eagerly followed the wolf and stayed close to her. Every so often she would pause to smell the air or listen to the sounds that were otherwise silent to my ears. Her senses of hearing and smell were very acute, and invaluable to survival. By comparison I was walking blindly wherever I went. Our footsteps crept through the woods, occasionally zig zagging as I trusted she had a good trail. She led me to the edge of clearing.
Before us extended a dusty downward sloping field where only a few bare patches of grass grew. The pine forest encircled much of the area with little open spaces, but we could see down much of the mountainside and into the lowland forests. A tall cliff towards our left looked promising. A cave was barely visible among the crags and general cliff face. It looked like the perfect place to hide from danger; high up to see the surrounding area, and easily defensible. However, I stayed in the trees with my mate. Walking out in the open to someone we didn't know was dangerous. We didn't know the area, and who knows how many other dangerous creatures roamed this place. It was unfortunate to have to wait, but that was my best option.
The minutes slowly ticked by. The bright sunshine became hidden by sparse clouds. Birds were the only constant source of sound except for a rare breeze. My mate's head suddenly lifted. Looking up at the cave, my eyes saw the human woman from before. Standing at the entrance, her naked fair skin made her plainly visible against the rugged backdrop and forests. We watched her leave the cave and descend the hillside. The woman approached the creek, but stopped just shy to look around.
'The werewolf isn't with her.' I realized that she was alone. There was an opportunity at hand that I didn't want to squander. Stepping out of the trees, I made myself visible. Not wanting to startle her, I waved as soon as she caught sight of me.
"Hello!" I called out. We both paused for a moment. 'Will she run?' I struggled to stay still as she stood still.
"Who are you?" A female voice called out. I immediately feels some relief wash over me. She had at least responded to me at a distance.
"Can we talk?" I called out. "I'm not armed!"
"Are you alone?" She asked. I looked over my shoulder at my mate standing beside a pine tree.
"No!" I answered. "There's one wolf with me! She can stay here." I confirmed with my mate, who gave a curt nod. For a moment there was no answer.
"Ok. Step slowly towards me." She finally answered. Excitement coursed through my body. A padded hand rested on my shoulder. Looking back, the black furred werewolf's gaze appeared unsure. I placed my hand atop hers.
"Watch me. I won't leave your sight." I told her before stepping forward. Following the woman's request I calmly approached her without haste. Her details be ask clearer, and she wasn't a figment of my imagination.
Her shoulder length auburn hair appeared wild, just like her entire appearance. She was starkly naked like before with only a pair of shoes on her feet. Her skin was light, but evenly tanned. There were no traces of any tan lines on her body. She had breasts like my mate, but they were noticeably larger and obviously no fur covering them. Slightly darker nipples poked freely from the center of each feminine mass. A little lower, her abdomen was toned and flat. Further down, her groin was covered in a thick bush of dark auburn pubic hair. Mimicking a patch of fur, her womanhood was completely covered despite being naked. If there was any doubt that I was with a woman, then that had been settled. Her legs were sturdy and well toned as well. Despite her size, she was well adapted to the forested mountainside. In her arms was a rifle almost as tall as her. Something told me that she was far more accurate and deadlier than I was with my old handgun.
"Are you real?" I stopped before her, but couldn't help myself from asking.
"If you are, then yes." She answered. Her voice was rich, and so human. I had not heard anything like it in so long that I was taken aback. I was accomplishing a goal I had considered near impossible for years. I was standing beside another living human being!
"We can sit by the creek and talk." She gestured to the little rocky stream of water. Following her, I noticed a large silver grey male werewolf approach us from the nearest section of trees. He was obviously male with a proportionally large sheath and other male equipment hanging between his furry grey legs. He audibly smelled me from afar. My muscles tensed instinctively from the unknown canine's presence.
"Don't worry. He is my mate." She explained and gestured for me to sit on a fallen log by the rocky creek. I did so with some reluctance.
"Your mate?" I blinked in surprise. The male werewolf huffed and laid down within reach of her.
"Yes, and he is very protective of me." She grinned at the fact. "We've been through a lot together. Is it the same for you and your mate?" She looked past me.
"Huh? Oh." I looked over and saw the female werewolf standing by the edge of the trees. She was still carefully watching me from afar. "Yes, we are mates. I thought we were the only human and wolf pairing."
"No, you're not." The corner of her mouth lifted into a subtle grin. "Do you two bond?" She asked.
"Bond?" The word made me think. "Do you mean..."
"You know, sleeping together, holding one another, and..."
"Lots of mating?" I guessed.
"Yep." She nodded.
"My mate is the same way." I half grinned knowing that she wasn't the only one. There was so much I wanted to say, but I didn't know where to begin. My eyes seemed to pick up the talking. I couldn't help but stare at her naked body. The way her breasts seemed to hang from gravity's subtle pull mesmerized my eyes. I didn't have a good memory of seeing another human being, let alone a naked woman. I could not help myself from seeing her as beautiful. Her form and physique had me utterly impressed. It helped me think of something to say.
"You aren't wearing any clothes." I pointed out.
"I don't have anything to wear."
"You don't? Did you used to have something?"
"When I was little, maybe fifteen, I know I wore a large oversized white shirt with that reached my knees. It was a rag by the time I met this guy." She looked affectionately at the male werewolf laying beside her. "His fur keeps me warm at night." I touched my arm and understood the same feeling.
"My mate keeps me warm too." I realized that I hadn't worn my shirt very often either.
"I don't remember much about my past." She admitted, feeling unhappy about it. "My name is Vale, and my mate's name is Nawa." She introduced herself. The wolf's ears perked up as she spoke. I was surprised the the wolf had a name too. "What's your name?"
"I don't know." The calmness of my admission struck a tone of sympathy with her. "I don't remember much either." I looked at the ground. "I know what general area I'm from, but it's all very fuzzy." I searched my mind for answers. "There's emotions and faint images, but it isn't enough." My own words weighed heavily on me. There were images of faint faces, places, and objects. Those memories were almost alien to me, but they were undoubtedly mine. "I just want to know as much as I can."
"I understand that feeling." Vale solemnly nodded. "It's frustrating, but you can't stop forever to dwell on it."
"Yeah." I knew she was right, and I didn't want to be consumed by my own curiosity. "Where did you find that?" I looked at the impressive rifle at her side.
"My rifle? It was several years ago. I was going through a few buildings by the woods in the lowlands outside of the abandoned town." She pointed far away. "What about you? Did you manage to survive without one?"
"No, I have a handgun, but I ran out of bullets several days ago." I glanced back to where my mate was standing in the pine forest. There was another odd question floating in my thoughts.
"You said you mated a lot with Nawa. Does that mean... Have you?" I didn't know how to ask because I had wondered it myself ever since I slept with my mate for the first time. Vale gave me a particular look as I searched for the proper words. "You haven't become pregnant?" I openly asked.
"No, or at least I don't think so." She placed a hand on her abdomen. "Before Nawa and I started mating, my body matched the cycle of the moon."
"What do you mean?"
"Women will bleed a little from here about every month." Vale told me and pointed at her groin. "I do know that. However, after we mate, I notice that my cycle will delay a month before happening again." Her hand trailed down to her "furry" groin. "I don't know, but it's like something is trying to happen to me." The concentrated look on her face was telling and mystifying. She didn't fully understand, or maybe she didn't want to say what she thought.
"I never noticed that with my mate." I admitted, although I didn't know much about anatomy anyway.
"I think Nawa knows when my cycle is about to start." She fondly rubbed the wolf's head. "His nose might smell something I can't, and then he just uses his tongue on me. Although sometimes I think he's trying to encourage something." I felt my cheeks redden slightly at the image. Her eyebrows knitted closer, turning her facial expression into something more serious. "It's never good to leave a trail of any kind for something else to find, especially if it's blood. I always had to hide every month before meeting Nawa."
"How did you find food?"
"It wasn't easy. I need to stay hidden for a few days before moving on. It was difficult staying in one location for a long period of time. I foraged mostly, but I had a little time to try and catch something. I remember going to sleep hungry so many times." She recalled the unpleasant memories. "I haven't had that problem with Nawa. He can eat a lot, but he is a great hunter."
"How did you two meet?" I thought that my circumstances were nothing more than luck, yet I wasn't the only one.
"It might be hard to imagine, but Nawa was much scrawnier than he was now." She looked at the male werewolf laying beside her. "I was exploring several buildings one day, searching for food, when I heard a whining and scratching sound. I found him pinned underneath some rubble and wooden beams, unable to move. I ran away in shock and fear, but he whined enough for me to stop and consider helping him. I had never heard something so big whine before."
"How did that happen? I mean, how did he get pinned?" The werewolf looked at me with a lazy expression.
"No idea. My guess is that he was doing the same thing as me, looking for food or shelter. I fed him and pulled him free. He limped for a few days but healed up surprisingly fast. I thought he had broken several bones or at least fractured them."
"Wasn't he a part of a wolf pack?"
"I don't think so." Vale shook her head. "He was an adult, so my guess is that he could've set out on his own. Whenever we see or hear another werewolf, Nawa hides and holds me close. He is cautious like me. What about you and your mate?" She asked in turn. "How did you two meet?"
"I used to live below the ridge over there." I pointed. "It's where a river flowed down to the nearest group of abandoned buildings and roads. But as wolves and other creatures encroached, I was forced to move up into the mountains. Eventually I had to leave as a wolf pack left me without enough room to live peacefully. I escaped for the hot plain over the mountains. She stalked me to an abandoned warehouse and tried to kill me; but to be fair, I tried to shoot her." I explained, but Vale didn't seem astonished in the slightest.
"How did you two manage to become friendly?"
"I was lucky enough to hide in a room when she injured herself. I watched her lay on the ground, but I couldn't bring myself to kill her. I gave her a little food, and thought she may not survive. She healed too fast for me to believe." I mentioned. "Her leg was bloodied and she couldn't walk, but the next day she started walking again. We explored the rest of the warehouse and took a shower together."
"So you're saying the werewolves can heal quickly?" She guessed.
"Yes, and when my mate licked a cut on my arm, it healed completely in one day." I revealed the faint mark on my arm. "They have the ability to heal very quickly."
"That makes sense." She nodded and looked at the shimmering creek flowing before us. "Whenever I get a cut, it will heal quickly when my mate licks it. And he never seems hurt anyway." It was incredible that the wolves were able to self heal that fast, and even help minor cuts heal on humans. "What happened after that?"
"Her pack showed up after we slept together in one room. The alpha threw my backpack at me and I followed them back to the forest. That's how it has been for the past week or so."
"So all of this happened very recently to you."
"Yes. It's a big change, and I'm still adjusting everything, even howls." Vale found the last part amusing.
"It will be a big change from living alone, but if I can speak from personal experience, it will be much better." She assured me. "When you have to move with the seasons, you won't feel as afraid or helpless." I liked not having to be constantly afraid. I was thankful to have someone else to rely on for any given situation.
"Will you two be moving soon?" I asked. "Summer won't last much longer."
"Not until it becomes colder. We're still exploring the ravine near here, but there's a different pack of werewolves who live to the northeast." She pointed in the opposite direction I had come from. "They've come within sight of our cave once, but they haven't been aggressive or sought us out."
"There's another pack?" I was mildly surprised.
"Yep. They have a young adolescent too, so I'm sure they'll be very protective towards him, or any other young that they have. Oh. There is something I want to tell you." Her eyes suddenly lit up.
"What?"
"Since you're curious about the world like me, there is a machine with a voice recording on it. It might hold some answers for you, or possibly make you more curious." She revealed to my interest. "It's located in a small abandoned home in your pack's territory."
"You mean that little building with the white walls and cinderblocks?" I guessed, hoping that I was wrong.
"Yeah. Have you seen it before?"
"I have. When I was with the pack, I went inside and found the device. I played the beginning, but the alpha werewolf didn't like the sounds and destroyed it."
"Oh. That's too bad." She frowned.
"I wish I could have heard the rest, but I only heard a little bit of he entire recording. What did it say?" I asked. Vale thought for a moment.
"It was hard to hear. The static noise interrupted and the recording cut off a few times, but I could hear the sound of a woman's voice talking. There were at least two men in the background I think. She was worried about something and said a lot of names or places. She talked about a group of scientists who were creating something. The final thing was about a disaster, but the recording ended after that."
I silently thought about the vague details. Vale's information only made increased my curiosity, just like she had predicted. Nawa then stood up and touched her shoulder. Looking up at the tall werewolf, I felt like a child gazing up at an adult.
"I think it's time for us to go." Vale stood up. My gaze traveled up from her thick patch of pubic hair and past the cusp of her breasts to her kind smile. Nawa hung an arm over his mate's shoulder, and covered half of Vale's chest with his large hand. I had a feeling the wolf didn't like my prolonged stare at her. Vale didn't think much of it.
"It was nice to meet another person." She offered a hand. "And sorry for running away yesterday. I don't trust anyone new."
"It's fine. I understand." I grasped her hand and stood up. We cordially shook. "Had I been alone, I would've done the same thing."
"If you or your pack are in danger, then we might be able to help." She offered.
"Thanks. I'd like to offer the same to you and your mate." I returned the offer. The male werewolf's hand lifted and extended towards me. I stared at the large padded hand before carefully grasping him. The padding was warm and supple despite the large claws he wielded.
"Thank you." Vale smiled. With a final look at the naked woman and her werewolf mate, I departed.
Walking back over the bare dirt field, I could see the black furred werewolf standing at the exact same spot along the tree line. She had waited patiently for me, but eagerly walked with me back into the woods. I didn't exactly learn as much about the world from Vale like I had hoped to, but I still felt a huge wave of relief knowing that she inhabited an area so close to the pack I belonged to. There was someone else who survived, shared my experiences, and sought to live with some purpose. My swirling thoughts nearly made me forget about the female werewolf walking beside me. I didn't get so much as a second glance, or greeting from her.
"Hey. What's wrong?" I stopped her and asked. Normally she was playful and very close to me, but right now pipes red very much indifferent towards me. Her ears were turned away, but not flat against her skull as she grumpily looked at me.
"Don't give me that look." I playfully touched her muzzle. Her jaws parted only to lightly gnaw on my fingers. "You know I love you." I insisted. The look in her eyes seemed to say 'prove it.' She always seemed to initiate any romance between us, so maybe it was my turn to brush against her. I definitely owed it to my mate. Eager to strengthen our bond, I desired to keenly love her. Reaching around, so I could still face her, I played with the wolf's long grey-brown hair. The werewolf simply stood still, not saying anything at first. Craning my head a little lower, I nuzzled both of the werewolf's small human-like breasts with my face. The fur felt nice and warm from the sunlight, and I cherished the sensations. After nuzzling her for a minute and rubbing her back, I found what what was hidden within her dark fur.
Parting my lips, I licked and softly nibbled the stout bud of flesh and the surrounding skin on one breast. The skin was tasteless, but no less fun to play with. My ears heard the wolf blow a hasty sigh as she finally relaxed her body. I felt a surge of confidence and reassurance as a hand loosely rested on my back. The warmth of her padded palm felt like a ray of sunlight, only more loving. I gave the same lavish treatment to her other breast before finally returning my gaze up to hers. This time the pensive distrust had been replaced by a noticeable canine grin.
Her nose touched my nose and she began licking my face, targeting my lips. Opening my mouth, I invited her to venture further. Without a word we simply allowed our tongues to lick together. Mouths occasionally bumping into one another. As odd as it appeared, the sensations were soothing, even when I bumped into any of her teeth. But my hands didn't cease stroking and touching her. Rather, I explored her furry body with curiosity. Tracing over her abdomen, I took a moment to appreciate the sturdy muscles hidden beneath the deceptively soft fur. Trailing all over her body, the canine's arms, back, and shoulders were no different. Her tail began to wag.
She earnestly pulled me closer and craned her head closer towards me. She was taking the initiative now. Her tongue began gently overpowering my own, and lapping into my mouth. I held onto her arms not to be forced back, and she held onto me to stay close. She was clearly in the mood now, and I could barely keep up with the canine's intimate pace. Without stopping, we lowered together down to our knees in the soft moss. Her tail wagged more as I tenderly rubbed her inner thigh. A passionate grumble that thrilled me as much as it scared me emitted from her throat.
"Ah." I took a much needed breath when our mouths finally parted, but the wolf wasn't slowing down. She licked around my ears and cheek while touching my groin. I grunted and moved her hand away. The werewolf laid on her back while I hastily discarded my pants. My length sprung into view. I didn't need her tongue this time to bring me to attention. I inched forward and lifted her lags up so her paws were dangling over my shoulders. I hugged her powerfully built limbs and stroked her thighs for a moment longer. Her mouth parted, lightly panting in anticipation. Reaching down, I parted the dark fluff revealing the entrance to her womanhood. I shifted forward and touched my tip to her labia. The body heat made a tingle run up my spine. Throbbing with arousal, I pressed forward. Her hot entrance yielded to me, inch by inch. When my hips bumped into hers, the werewolf softly sighed.
I quivered from the silken heat of her womanhood as I pulled out and gently pushed back in. The sensations were nearly intoxicating. Every thrust felt so good, better than the last. I was satisfying my own desires as well as hers. For just a few minutes there was nothing else. My entire world was her, and mating with her. Her tongue lolling pants, my occasional groans and grunts, and it always seemed to end too soon. With a final push I came inside her. A wave of dizzying euphoria enveloped me as she accepted every pulsating drop. My head cleared as I stared at her, panting with satisfaction. Her eyes were filled with the same satiation, but it was more than fulfilling a carnal desire in the woods like wild animals.
"I love you." I breathed exaltedly. The words just slipped out, but I spoke them with true meaning. Her ears perked up cutely as she tilted her head at me. There was a moment of pause before a hand grabbed my arm and pulled me down to her. The canine muzzle parted before a large tongue began washing over my entire face. I laughed, trying not to let her smother me with canine kisses.
"Easy! Let me breathe!" I begged. Thankfully she relented and took pleasure in stroking my hair. We laid there together for a moment, and enjoyed each other's company without any interruptions. I never felt alone anymore with her like this. All of the warm, tenderness, and affection had been starved from me for too long. Propping myself onto my elbows, I looked over my shoulder and gazed back in the direction where Vale and Nawa lived. I thought about what Vale had told me. 'They have a bond, and so do we.' I understood their feelings towards each other, comparing them to ours. It was a surreal moment.
"Ow! Hey!" I nearly jumped feeling claws pinch my rear, dangerously close to my genitals. Staring back at my mate, the look in her eyes caught me off guard.
'Jealousy?' I was a little surprised only to feel her teeth lightly bite my shoulder. "Ouch! Stop! I'm not thinking about going to her, I promise!" I pleaded my case. The werewolf gave me a few more nibbles and pinches so I wouldn't forget. I relaxed when she stopped, and began licking my chin and vulnerable neck in apology. The smooth warmth of her flat tongue felt soothing, but also reminded me that she held plenty of physical power over me. The werewolf never sought to use it against me though. She never liked seeing me hurt, and it was the last thing she would do to me.
"You could've left a bruise..." I rubbed my behind and rotated my shoulder. Her arms wrapped around my back in a hug, pulling me back down to her front. I accepted the invitation to snuggle up to the large furry wolf, and nuzzled her chest. "When I said that I loved you, I meant it." I mumbled and felt her give me a little squeeze. Hoping to take a short nap, I closed my eyes.
"Awoooo." A distant howl echoing through the endless forested mountain caught our attention. Several seconds passed before another howl echoed through the forest.
"Awooo!" We hastily rose to our feet. "We better get back to your... our pack." I felt happy to correct myself. Grabbing my clothes, I quickly dressed myself. "Hopefully the alpha won't pinch or bite me for mating with you." I said. The werewolf beside me appeared to smile, even with the bits of moss and pine needles clinging to her dark fur.
"Awoooo!" She eagerly returned a howl and we set out through the woods alongside each other.
