Drives With Wolves: Chapter 1
A man moves to a new town and finds a new friend with a shared interest.
Journal Entry 1:
This is going to be a little new for me since I don't typically write journals. I really don't have anything interesting going on these days but some friends back home recommended it to help cope with being alone out here and maybe work through it with this. Why am I alone? Well to start things off about a month ago I moved to this small city for work. The job pays well but this city really doesn't have a whole lot going on. We are surrounded by some nice scenic mountains which has been nice, but I am bad enough socializing with people when I do have something in common with others and my interests don't look to be too common around here. I'm a bit of a gear head, and all I see on the streets in this town are trucks and soccer mom SUVs. Oh well, I'm thinking I'll keep an eye out and get paid and ditch this job after racking up some experience and references for a year or two. Maybe head up to the mountain and check out some of those roads in the meantime.
Journal Entry 2:
Apologies for not keeping up with this. It's been a few days since my last entry. I have been keeping busy after work driving up into the mountains. There are some really nice roads up here and for the most part they seem to be empty. Seems like most of them are used for resorts in the winter or hiking trails in the day, but at night there doesn't seem to be a reason for anyone to head up there so I get it all to myself. I guess high school kids don't do the whole lover's peak overlook thing anymore. Anyway, my car has been a blast up on these roads, I'm talking like Tail Of The Dragon or Mulhollond quality roads and somehow they seem to be totally undiscovered.
Oh right, I should maybe talk about the car to keep myself busy, everyone knows I can go on about that stuff for days. I've been in and out of a variety of different cars and engine setups since I started playing around. I definitely can appreciate a little bit of everything from a nice V8 to a simple NA ITB'd out 4 cylinder. But my current money pit has been this nice little 1981 Mazda RX-7. It's not a full GSL-SE or anything, still running a carb'd 12A but it does have the GSL-SE rearend with the LSD, suspension is similar to those spring and strut combos they used to run when Spec 7 was around along with beefed up swaybars. It is a fairly basic setup compared to some of my past cars, but I've been enjoying the simplicity and it handles great but is not too crazy of a car to get me in a ton of trouble. Plus with no real car clubs around here it's not like I need any serious hardware, just a simple well handling car to carve some corners and have some fun with in my free time.
So anyway, coming back to these roads here. I'll have to get some footage and maybe rig up a light bar but corners are stacked one on top of another and the routes are seemingly infinite so far. The only thing I'm a little concerned about might be the wildlife, I have spotted a few deer when scouting out the roads at a slower pace but luckily I haven't had an issue. Hopefully the sound of that rotary will spook them away before they end up darting in front of the car. There is one scenic overlook way up in the mountains where you can just barely see the city through the trees and canyons and it is amazing at night. The glow of the lights and the moonlight make this place look absolutely magical. I tend to drive up and down this one section of road that ends at the top of this overlook and take a break to let the car cool down. It is a little strange being up there alone. I was never really comfortable being alone outside in the dark and I feel like it's a silly thing to be nervous about, but I do feel a little uneasy out there.
Journal Entry 3:
It's probably been about a week since I last wrote. I have been heading up to the mountain roads almost nightly now, and yeah yeah I know it's really not helping my social life but I'm having fun so what? I have my favorite route with the scenic overlook virtually nailed at this point. And don't get me wrong I'm not pushing 110% or anything like that, this is a nice 9/10ths pace sort of spirited driving. Obviously I know not to cross those double yellows or do anything stupid. The tires on the 7 are not the greatest performance tire, but that's part of the fun I guess. A nice economy sport tire from a cheaper Chinese tire manufacturer keeps the wallet happy and the opposite lock obtainable without pushing too hard. I did get an earful from the old gas station worker on my way down the mountain the other night though. Something about old ghost stories and urban legends up on the mountain and people seeing things, Sasquatch kind of things. Just when I was getting comfortable being up there alone. Oh well, it still hasn't stopped me from heading up there.
Journal Entry 4:
OK. Got a little more spooked than usual. I was up on my favorite route again and ended up stopping at the top of the hill to drink my coffee and hang out a bit. Sometimes I leave the stereo on and let music play but tonight the stars were out and I just wanted to listen to the wilderness. Laying on the hood of the 7 and staring up at the stars I heard a snap to my left near the visitor's map in the scenic overlook parking lot. I sat up immediately and attempted to allow my eyes to adjust as best they could but I couldn't see anything. I just stared and stared trying to find any sort of movement in the trees. After probably ten minutes I gave up and slowly made my way to the driver's seat to start the car. Luckily I didn't have any horror movie cliches and it started right up on me that night. I'm sure I'll go back up, it was probably just a deer or raccoon or something but damn do I hate not knowing for sure.
Journal Entry 5:
I'm a little concerned about those mountains still. I don't know if it's my paranoia but I feel like I'm definitely being watched now. I'm really not trying to be a little bitch about this sort of thing but I just get this super uneasy feeling up there. I've been taking other routes lately, the roads are not as good but my uneasiness disappears entirely on the other routes. I don't know what is up there but it is really creeping me out. I'll probably end up trying out my favorite route again in a few days.
Journal Entry 6:
HOLY SHIT what a night! I don't even know what to say, I guess I'll get right into it. So it has been probably a week or so since I have been spooked by the twig snapping thing at my favorite route. I have been enjoying the other roads but they are just not up to par of my favorite run so I wanted to head back. I figured I didn't have to stop, didn't have to hang out up top and get creeped out, I'll just blast my way up and down the hill a few times and get out of there.
So I was running the road going up hill. I had gone up and down twice already and was going to head up for one more spirited drive. Everything was uneventful up to this point. I felt a bit uneasy still I guess but I wasn't stopping so I didn't have anything to stress. Nearing the top of the mountain road is this little crest and S turn into a hairpin which sneaks up around the side of the mountain to the scenic overlook. So coming up over this crest I'm greeted with a shock. This idiot deer just standing there in the road caught in the classic blind stare of my headlights. I swerve left of the deer, dip the rear left wheel off the road a bit, I swear the front right was up in the air as we were doing a 3 wheel motion sort of thing, corrected with a bit of opposite lock and was able to get back on the road without any serious issue. Then of course that's when I heard it. The unmistakable “thump thump thump" of a flat tire. It was definitely my left rear tire that had dipped into the ditch just a bit too far. Slowing down and coming around the final hairpin meeting up to the scenic overlook I parked the car and sighed. I really wasn't into changing a tire out here, in the creepy wilderness, alone with a possible sasquatch out there.
After calming my nerves for a few minutes I finally gave in, got up and prepped myself to swap out to the spare wheel. Luckily we had a full moon out that night so there was a decent amount of light. Walking to the rear hatch I glanced at the flat tire to see no real damage, just a tire that seemed to be popped off the bead. The wheel should be fine but I have a full size spare so I'm not too concerned either way. I do like to carry a decent tool kit in the back, I avoid those crappy scissor jacks and have a decent but cheap hydraulic floor jack and pull out the spare wheel to get ready to install. Now here is where I made one of those really dumb little mistakes. Instead of making sure the jack was seated at the pinch welds I was kind of in a hurry not wanting to be out in those woods too long. I just sort of jammed it under the side of the car and assumed I was on the pinch weld having done this so many times. So I get the rear lifted, get the bad wheel off, and just as I was reaching for the spare I heard the creak and the bang of the jack slipping out from my poorly positioned jacking point. I knew exactly what had happened before even turning around to see it. The car was now sitting on it's left rear rotor with no way for me to lift the car back up to the jack, to get it up off the ground. I was royally screwed at this point.
I did what just about anyone would do in this situation, screamed internally and just sighed as I stared at the car on the ground unable to do anything about it. The car didn't appear to be damaged, luckily these cars have some bulky low-hanging framerails so it was probably just sitting on the rearmost part of that on the ground. The tricky part was just being able to lift it to get the jack under the car again which would be next to impossible alone. I maneuvered the jack around, trying to see if there was another spot I could lift it up, then maybe put a rock or something underneath and lift again at a proper point but I was having no luck. I was pretty well stuck. I checked my phone only to find I had no bars and I'd probably end up walking home after a long night if I didn't get this fixed. I tried everything, and while lifting from the fenderwell was possible if I put all my strength into it, I couldn't both lift and kick the jack underneath the car no matter how many times I tried. I put my back to the door and sat on the spare next to the car, tired and trying to figure out what the next course of action would be.
As I sat there in the moonlight contemplating for a few minutes I heard something again. Something moving through the brush near some of the trail heads right in front of the car. I sat there paralyzed in fear with my heart pounding as I stared to my right. I could see a hulking mass standing and watching me looking towards the car, I saw it's eyes first. Yellow piercing eyes glowing in the moonlight. It was definitely not human, but it was also bipedal. It was maybe 20-30 feet from where I sat as I stared in awe when it began walking towards me. I panicked. I did the only thing I could think to do and stumbled upwards and walked backwards facing this monster. I would fit right into the horror movie cliché since I walked right into the jack and one of the wheels and fell backwards directly on my ass. The creature was at the front of the car by this point and I was still panicking trying to crawl backwards. At this point I could see much more of the creature. It was essentially a werewolf. It had the head of a wolf with a bipedal body that was toned and full of muscle. My mind was flipping out at this point, I was just gasping in shock as it stopped there at the front of the car and I felt like I was having some kind of panic attack. The biggest surprise was when it spoke.
“Please." It said in a low gruff voice with a hint of lisp.
I just kind of sat in shock with my jaw to the floor.
“Please, I don't mean you any harm." It continued in a strange kind of accent as I just sat and stared. I was screaming internally trying to reason with myself what I was seeing, hearing, but I just could not deal with it.
“Wha.... What?!" I blurted out.
“Please try and calm down I don't want you to hurt yourself." It spoke again in a kind caring tone. I felt like I was hallucinating, like maybe I did actually wreck down the cliffside when I dodged that deer and I'm just in some fucked up coma. Yet here we were, I felt the pain in my ass from falling, I could feel the cold pavement underneath my hands as I sat there on the ground. This was very real feeling for a coma.
“I'm sorry, I shouldn't have bothered you, I will leave you alone." The creature spoke again in a tone that reflected it's regret as it turned and began to walk back. My mind began to clear. I was realizing the wolf didn't seem to be threatening me. I was the asshole here for jumping to conclusions and panicking like an idiot. I tried to call out but I still had trouble finding the words, just holding my mouth open like a fish out of water.
“Wait!" I finally got out as he was nearly to the treeline. He stopped and turned as I shakily got up on my feet standing next to my car. He was not approaching the car which kept me comfortable for now, just standing at the tree line as I stared back at him.
“What are you?" I asked. In hindsight it was kind of a rude strange question. But I needed to start somewhere to get to grips with what I was dealing with here.
“Well, I'm a a werewolf." It said in a matter of fact sort of way.
“What like, you're actually some dude that lives in the city and you come up here to scare the crap out of people and run around naked on full moons?" I asked.
“Well no, not exactly. Real werewolves are quite a bit different than what your myths and legends make them out to be. I'm simply a wolf, but I don't run on all fours and I guess we're a bit more civilized than our wolf counterparts, I guess not far from you and your apes." It explained.
“So you being out here on a full moon is just some kind of coincidence then?" I asked.
“Oh I'm out here most nights. This is my territory. We used to have a whole tribe running around here for years but with you humans coming closer and closer to our territory they decided to move deeper into the wilderness to not be disturbed." The wolf explained.
“Well what about you?" I asked, noticing the wolf was now stepping closer slowly with each response.
“Well, I have always been a bit intrigued with you humans. Mostly with this machinery like what you have here. I wanted to ask, what exactly are you doing with it up here? I see you come up almost every night yet you don't seem to be delivering any goods or meeting anybody." The wolf asked, taking another couple steps forward.
“Oh the car? Well I just come up here to drive it. It gets my mind off of things. It's kind of like an escape from my day to day life, work, things like that. I just moved to the city and really don't know anybody outside of my job so I have nothing better to do I suppose." I explained.
“Is this normal? For your people to drive a car around just to think about things?" The wolf asked, now standing at the front of the car looking downwards at it.
“Well I guess. It is a hobby or a passion for some people. The kind of thing you pour your heart and soul into, but for others it can be as simple as just transportation or a tool." I explained further.
“So strange. But I do like it!" The wolf smiled as he continued looking down at the car. I had a glimpse of those large fangs reminding me of the killing potential of this beast, yet I also noticed at this moment his tail wagging, he was nothing but a big old dog.
I stood there eyeing him for a minute as the wolf continued to stare at the 7 from the front of the car. He began to walk around to the passenger side. Casually sniffing the car, inspecting little bits and pieces like one might at a car show. Leaning down to the mirror. Leaning into the passenger window and taking a peak inside. He was courteous and kept his hands off, moving slowly as to not startle me I'm sure as well.
“So what did you break when you dodged that deer earlier?" The wolf asked as he walked around to the rear. I was still standing at my original spot near the driver's door, not moving but still a little shaky watching this wolf stalk around my car.
“Oh. Right. Well the bead of the tire came off the wheel when I went off the road a bit so I lost all the air out of the tire. I have a spare and attempted to change it but when I was rushing to change it the jack slipped out from under the car. Since then I haven't been able to get the jack under it again to lift it back up, then you showed up." I explained.
“And why were you rushing?" The wolf smirked his predatory grin, eyeing me up from the rear of the car.
“Well, to be honest, this place had me on edge. I kept getting the feeling I was being watched and I guess now that I've met you I know I was right." I said.
“Hmmm yes, you seemed a bit startled a few nights ago when you heard me as well." The wolf said.
“So that was you?" I asked.
“Oh yes, I was going back and forth about approaching you just like I did tonight. I guess this time you just had nowhere to run to." The wolf said again with a grin, making me feel like a plaything to this predator.
“But you have nothing to worry about with me, I don't hunt your kind and have no reason to bring unwanted attention my way with a missing persons search so please stop eyeing me like I'm about to attack you. I merely wanted to speak with you about this beautiful machine you have here. Every night you come up here making such an impressive noise with this car and it seems like such a joy to drive. Now, about fixing it. Is there anything I can do to help?" The wolf asked, tail wagging again like he was pleased to be of service.
“Actually yes! If you could help lift I could definitely get the jack under the car to get the spare wheel on!" I explained surprised but grateful for the offer. I instructed him where to lift at the fender well as I got the jack ready.
“Alright on three. One. Two. Three!" I yelled as the wolf lifted the fenderwell, it wasn't effortless by any means but he seemed to be able to get the car up just high enough for me to jam the jack underneath.
“There we go! Thank you so much for your help you really saved my ass out here!" I said as I started pumping the hydraulic jack.
“Happy to be of service." The wolf said with a smile wagging his tail again.
“Listen, I'm sorry for how I acted when you showed up. I just have never seen anything quite like you and, well I mean it's like coming across a mythical creature it just doesn't happen every day." I explained feeling bad for being such an ass to a genuinely helpful creature.
“No, no it's fine. I've met a few humans in my days and it's the same reaction, I get quite used to it. No harm done." The wolf said.
“What is your name anyway?" I asked the wolf.
“Kosa, and yours?" The wolf said.
“Kosa huh? I'm Josh." I said reaching a hand out to shake the wolf's hand.
“A handshake eh? Not afraid of me anymore I guess?" Kosa said.
“I guess I'm beginning to trust you a bit." I said as he gripped my hand in his firm furred grip, brought it up to his nose to sniff at my hand, then continued shaking my hand in a more traditional manner that I was used to.
“Glad to hear that." Kosa said with a smile as he let my hand go. It was at this point I was able to take in the details of Kosa finally under the moonlight. He was not unlike a gray wolf you would see in the wild or maybe at a wolf sanctuary up close. He was pretty tall, probably about 6'5". I couldn't get the best look in the light but he appeared to have a bit of color around his face, but most of his fur being gray. I didn't fully realize until standing so close, but Kosa was also fully naked with a sheath and two balls casually hanging in the open. Not that I was staring, I don't feel like he noticed my quick glance.
After all this I was able to get the spare back on the car and get the car on the ground. Kosa happily helped out and he seemed to have better eyesight at night than I when it came to searching for one of those lost lug nuts. With all that said and done I was able to fire up the RX7 for the drive home that night around 3AM. I did promise Kosa I would be back after getting some sleep. I even promised him a ride in the car up and down the hill for his help tomorrow night after I get the tire fixed. He was beyond excited. Can you believe that? A fucking werewolf just wants to take a rip in my car because he thinks it's cool? I don't know how hard I hit my head to be hallucinating this kind of shit but I guess I'll find out tomorrow when I go up to that scenic overlook.
Journal Entry 7:
Had a great night tonight with Kosa. So I guess that kinda confirms this isn't a hallucination or brain damage. I ended up there around midnight and sure enough that wolf was hanging around casually at the parking lot of the scenic overlook. He wasn't hiding this time as I pulled up, I guess he knows the car now and doesn't have anything to worry about.
“Hey." I said as I rolled up with the window down at the wolf.
“Glad you showed up!" The wolf smiled as he wagged his tail.
“Of course! You helped me out big time last night I wouldn't ditch you. Plus you'd probably hunt me down if I didn't hold my end of the deal." I joked.
“Naw nothing like that, human tastes terrible anyway." Kosa said.
“Well hop in, we've got all night so I guess you can be my co-driver." I directed him to the passenger side as I leaned over to open the door. With the door open the dome light in the cabin came on and I finally got the see the impressive colors of Kosa's fur in the light. Different shades of gray mixed with a bit of orange and brown. The RX7 was a little cramped for Kosa's large frame but we were able to make it work. I motioned for him to put on the seatbelt but he didn't quite understand the concept. Leaning over I grabbed the seatbelt only to get a whiff of Kosa's scent. It was earthy, heavy and musky with a tinge of pine. I clicked the seatbelt in, cleared my head and couldn't stop thinking of Kosa's scent.
With Kosa buckled in and instructing him to hold onto the “oh shit" handle I started the car and began our descent down the hill. I didn't want to get too crazy with the car having a wolf who's never been any faster than he could run but he kept pushing me to go faster and faster. Kosa was absolutely loving this! Soon enough we were bringing the car into some mild slides around some of the tighter corners as Kosa was letting out a piercing howl out the window. This crazy wolf was wild about speed and he didn't even know it! We continued running the mountain up and down a few times before letting the car cool down at the top and sitting outside on the hood overlooking the distant lights. He spoke to me about growing up in his tribe, some of the old ways of his people and I spoke to him about my job, about moving into town in a temporary apartment and not knowing anybody. It was good to connect with somebody after weeks of having no real conversation. After talking for a couple hours the sun was starting to come up and we said our goodbyes. I'm definitely going to return again tomorrow night, Kosa is a good guy.
Journal Entry 8:
So it has been a few days. I have been going up nightly to visit Kosa and we mostly just hang around and talk then go for a couple runs up and down the hill, then talk some more. I'm really starting to like this wolf. Tonight I had something different planned and I wanted to surprise Kosa with something. I really wasn't sure how this was going to work out and I admit I was a little worried, but I felt like he might appreciate trying to drive the car.
So I rolled up around midnight to our scenic overlook parking lot and there he was waiting for me like the previous night. I shut the car off this time around and hopped out as he approached me.
“Howdy." I said as I backed up leaning on the hood in a half sit half squat.
“Hey! Glad you could make it." He replied back smiling through his fangs and tail wagging, he clearly seems to like my visits as much as I do.
“So listen. I have been thinking about something for a bit. I'm not sure if you're down for this but do you want to try driving tonight? We can start out slow in the parking lot, go over driving stick and getting use to how the car turns then maybe take it easy down the hill if you're feeling good about it." I explained as I saw his face light up.
“WHAT?! Are you serious?! I would be so happy to give it a shot if you're okay with it!" He exclaimed as happy as I had ever seen him.
“Yeah really, it's not that big of a deal we'll take it easy and I'll try and instruct you along the way so we don't end up having any accidents." I explained further.
“THANK YOU! Thank you so much!" He yelled as he hugged me, licking along my face and neck as I tried to escape his grasp. There was nothing I could do but sit there and take his affection with his strong grip. Kosa, or maybe it was just the mannerisms of his people, but he was much more into physical contact than I was used to. Instead of keeping his distance when we sat and talked he'd often lean up against my body, or in this case slobber all over my face and neck in a sign of appreciation.
“Whoa whoa! Hey now no need for that it's not that big of a deal!" I yelled finally squeezing out of his grasp and wiping my face. He smiled and I smiled back, motioning him to the car.
“Lets get started, we'll probably be up all night." I said.
“HA, yeah right, I bet you'll be surprised when I start tackling corners like you do." He retorted.
We both climbed into the RX7 and he ended up having to scoot the seat as far back as he could. Even then Kosa had to recline the seat a bit more to help with head clearance and his ears were always kind of scrunched up against the roof but he didn't seem to mind. I instructed him the general idea of the transmission, he had seen me work it before and I think he understood the idea of gearing and the higher revs you're in the better, within reason. After instructing Kosa to start the car with the clutch in we began learning how to let the clutch out slowly and get the car going into a roll. Surprisingly he caught on relatively quickly, a lot quicker than my younger brother whom I taught years ago. I looked down at his feet and realized just how large they were. Huge wolf-like paws adapted to his bipedal form, they were so wide he wouldn't even need to heel toe it seemed, just a simple lean over with his foot and he'd cover both pedals. Despite this, he handled the three pedals just fine and soon enough we were cruising around the parking lot, practicing circles and figure 8s in a calm and smooth manner.
I felt at this point we were ready to hit the road so with a deep breathe I instructed him to take it easy and head down so we could scout it out and maybe we'd start going faster and faster coming back up hill. Kosa agreed and we slowly descended the hill without issue. I was surprised at how well he had caught on for someone who had never been around vehicles. I mean he wasn't taking turns very fast by any means, but he was turning in smooth, keeping the car between the lines, and braking in a steady manner.
“You're doing great for your first time. I mean, I've seen some terrible drivers and they had grown up watching their parents drive all their lives and yet with a few days you're catching on great." I said in words of encouragement.
“Thanks, I had a pretty good teacher I guess." He turned back and smiled. When we arrived at the bottom he simply turned back around and started heading back up.
“You can get on it a bit more. Heading up hill is a bit safer if things do get hairy but try and keep it within your limits." I said. Kosa simply smiled and nodded, putting a bit more throttle into it and picking up the pace. He was beginning to really get the hang of this and not only that, he was damn smooth too! He was careful not to miss a shift, had some great hand placement on the wheel, and he didn't even make any awkward mistakes or have any bad habits like a two handed shuffle of the steering wheel or anything. It was like he was a natural at this!
When we arrived at the top he parked the car, shut it down and just sat there staring ahead with a smile on his face.
“I can't thank you enough for this. I'm thrilled I was able to give this a shot." Kosa said turning to me.
“It's no problem really, from one friend to another" I said as I patted Kosa's shoulder.
“And don't think this will be your last time driving. You're a natural! I can't explain to you how impressed I am with how calm and how well you handled yourself for your first time out." I explained further.
“Really? You mean that? I was just trying to do what I had watched you do! Thank you so much I'm so happy!" Kosa exclaimed as we began to step out of the car. Kosa ran around the car again to give me another hug and more of those sloppy licks.
“Alright alright! Damn, it's really not a problem it has been my pleasure Kosa." I said as I got him to calm down. We walked over to one of the benches at the side of the parking lot and sat overlooking the distant lights of the city.
“Kosa. I really enjoy spending time with you up here. I've been pretty much alone for the past few months since moving out here and I'm really glad you approached me. Thank you." I said.
“I'm glad I did too. Glad you were able to stop screaming for a moment to let me help you haha! But really, I enjoy your company up here. I'm alone most of the time as well and this is a very nice change of pace." He said as he scooted closer. I could feel the warmth of his body and that subtle scent. I was used to it by now and it didn't overpower me too much. The more and more I smelled it it just seemed so natural, like taking a walk in the woods. Pine and earthy scents mixed into the form of a strong male. I felt Kosa put his arm around my shoulder. Normally I would have panicked at this kind of affection but I leaned into it. We sat up there not saying a word for more than an hour as we stared off into the distance, looking at the stars and enjoying one another's company. Eventually I fell asleep on that bench only to be awoken by Kosa.
“Hey Josh, I don't want to interrupt our time together but you still have work tomorrow, and I'd like for you not to be too tired to make it back again." He spoke softy.
“Mmmright, I'm awake." I half bluffed with the wolf.
“Hey Kosa where do you sleep?" I asked.
“I have a nice quiet spot away from any trails or humans. In a cave. It is mostly decorated with skins and furs from hunts or from my old tribe. It is very secluded and hidden away." Kosa explained.
“If I showed you my apartment would you show me your cave sometime?" I asked.
“I would be delighted." Kosa smiled back as he stood up, helping me up from the bench. We said our goodbyes for the night and I headed back to the apartment to hopefully catch some sleep for work, anxious for what the next night may bring.
Journal Entry 9:
With my nightly visits up the mountain to see Kosa my sleep schedule has been all kinds of messed up. I tend to wake up for work around 8am, work until 5pm, sleep when I get home until about 10pm or so, then head up the mountain to hang around with Kosa until 3am then sleep as much as I can until work the next morning. It hasn't been the easiest schedule but I'd say it has been worthwhile seeing my friend. Tonight was a little different. After getting home exhausted from work I immediately passed out. I was awoken to some slight tapping a little before 10pm. I went to the window in my room and looked out only to see that goofy wolf Kosa half squatting in the bushes wagging his tail. Part of me panicked not sure what the hell he thought he was doing here, the other part was excited to see him. At least it was dark so he wouldn't be extremely obvious. I headed down the stairs to meet him at front door and quickly pulled him inside.
“Kosa! What the hell are you doing?!" I whispered bringing him inside.
“What? I wanted to see you after everything you did for me last night! And you mentioned your house so I figured it would be alright." He said happily wagging his tail.
“Of course it's alright I just worry. Did anyone see you? How did you find me?" I asked.
“Aww come on this isn't my first time stalking around town at night. I know how to creep about without being seen. And your scent obviously, I'd be useless as a hunter if I couldn't smell you out and find where you were!" He explained.
“I just worry about you, about what others might do to you if they found you." I said.
“I'll be fine, really." He said as he patted me on the shoulder.
“Alright well, I guess I said I'd show you my place so, here we are! It's really not much to look at. I feel like I'll be in and out of this place and into a more permanent residence so I haven't unpacked a lot of my crap." I explained the mess of boxes and other things.
“It's nice. Smells like you. It smells nice." Kosa said as I motioned him towards the living room, the bathroom, and my bedroom. He continued sniffing around the place, idly looking at things placed around the house that I assumed were unfamiliar to him.
“Ah, here's something you might like." I said as I brought him towards the simulator stand with a racing wheel I had brought with me in the move.
“This is a racing simulator. There's a ton of different, uh, programs I guess, simulations, or... I don't know how to explain it to you but it's like a fake world where you use controls to mimic the real world and practice or mess around." I tried explaining, realizing the more and more I used terms like “simulator" or “video games" I'd probably just confuse Kosa.
“Ha, relax I know what video games are. Remember you're not the only human I've known although it's been a few years. There was a park ranger who stayed at an outpost a few miles south of here who I'd made friends with. We played his Xbox, messed around in Ghost Recon or Madden." He said jumping into the seat of the simulator seeming ready to use it.
“Madden? Football? Are you kidding me?" I asked.
“Dead serious. I don't know anything about the teams or real life football but we'd play against each other some nights and I'd usually just go for hail mary plays." He explained further.
“Right. Well just about the only games I have are going to be racing games, but it might be some good practice for your driving up on the hill." I said as I started getting the PC booted up for the simulator and loading up Assetto Corsa.
“Now this game is pretty close to the real thing, but obviously you're not going to feel any of the forces pulling your weight around so you have to learn how the car reacts visually rather than feel it. Other than that it's pretty much spot on to driving a real car." I explained as I loaded a fairly simple wide open track for him to practice in an MX5 cup car.
“Unlike last night you don't have to go easy on the car. Dump the clutch, peel out, we can always reset if you end up crashing out." I continued. Kosa nodded and began fidgeting with the wheel and shifter, getting used to the slightly off positioning compared to the real car but he was catching on to things quickly just like he had in the car. Soon enough he was completing smooth, fluid full laps so I began changing things up. Throwing circuits at him like Laguna Seca, Spa, even Nurburgring which he'd have no chance learning the full track with just our single night messing around, yet he was able to hold his own against my previous records and was actually getting damn close to my times on some of these tracks. This guy continues to impress me more and more like he was born to drive or something.
After messing around on the simulator for a while we finished up and made our way to the kitchen where I started making some dinner. I figured Kosa to be a meat eater so I made some steaks but was surprised when he said he'd take the potatoes and green beans too. I made up two plates and sat us at the table and we talked casually while eating.
“Oh I brought you something. A thank you for letting me drive your car last night." Kosa said as he started to dig through a small sack he had brought with him strapped around his waist. He pulled from it a leather braid with a loop at the end.
“Wow Kosa did you make this?" I asked.
“Yep." He smiled back tail wagging.
“This is awesome really! Wow I have the perfect idea too!" I said as I pulled the car keys from my pocket, pulling the key ring of the RX7 off and slipping it through the braid. The leather braid was perfect as a keychain!
“Now you've got a part on the car you've put together as well." I said. He smiled back and continued wagging his tail.
We finished up our dinner and headed to the living room where I offered to put on a movie. Neither of us had anything in mind so I put on a random action flick on Netflix and sat on the couch. Kosa sat close to me again. Date night style like he was trying to get some. I still wasn't sure how I felt about all this but I continued to attribute it to his people's mannerisms. It was at this point I noticed how much more detail I could see of him in the lighting of the room rather than out under the moonlight or in the car with the 30 year old dome light barely illuminating the place. Kosa was naked. Like REALLY naked. Sitting right up against my side. I could feel his warmth against my body as his scent filled my nose. His scent was having an effect on me and I continued trying to sneak glances at his body. Down at his sheath, his chest, anything to get a glimpse of the wolf next to me.
Halfway through the movie Kosa stood up, requesting to use the bathroom and jokingly assured me he knew how from his previous human friendships and he wouldn't make a mess. I watched his toned body stand up and move out of the room the entire time studying the beauty of it. I never considered myself into men. I'm open to the idea if I had an attraction but nothing ever clicked there. Kosa was different though, something about him made me feel like I was falling for him, and I began to question if he might ever feel the same way. I heard the toilet flush and Kosa washing up as he returned back. I dared a glance as he sat down next to me on the couch again putting an arm around me.
“You know you can look all you want if you like." He said.
“What?" I asked unsure what he was referring to.
“You keep taking glances at me. Sneaking peaks at my body when you think I'm not looking. I've noticed you doing it in the past when we first met but tonight you've really been going at it. See something you like?" He questioned. At this point my heart was pounding. He was on to me. What would he think? He was probably disgusted in me.
“Relax, I can feel your heart pounding. It's nothing to be ashamed of. You humans are always so bashful when it comes to your own sexuality. If you're curious, please sate your curiousity." Kosa said.
“I, I just, don't know." I said.
“Ssshh, it's fine, take things slow and at your comfort level. I have no problem with it." Kosa spoke softly as he turned to me on the couch. I rotated back towards him looking into his eyes, then slowly traced down to his chest.
“You can touch me if you'd like. I don't mind." Kosa tempted me. I reached out and brushed my hand through the fur on his chest feeling each individual strand tickle my hand as I traced down his muscled body. Working down to his abs I was apprehensive to go any lower, until he encouraged me in a growl.
“Mmmmggrrr. Lower please, don't be afraid. We're both friends here." He said. I continued tracing my hand lower, towards his thighs. I deliberately avoided his sheath and balls, not wanting to be too forward, but he grasped my wrist with his in a soft but firm grip, bringing me towards his sheath. I groped it lightly, not wanting to apply too much pressure to make him uncomfortable as Kosa let out another long relaxed growl. He let go of my wrist as I continued to grasp at his sheath, coaxing the tip of his cock out of it.
At this point I did something really out of character for myself. I don't know if it was his scent or the arousal, but I slipped my head downwards as I continued to stroke and tease his sheath with my hand, bringing my nose up to his crotch and inhaling his scent in full. My head was spinning from the smell of this strong male's scent, and the more I drank in the more I wanted it. I glanced up at Kosa who had his head tilted back on the couch, tongue lolling out as he was murring at my affection. I brought my mouth up to the tip of his sheath where a bit more than just the top of his red cock was peaking out and gave it a lick. It was salty, very musky, but not terrible by any means. As I engulfed the tip of his cock I moved my hand downwards to play with his furry balls. I could hear Kosa panting and moaning as I continued to suck and lick around the tip of his cock, slowly thickening as it rose out of his sheath. After a few moments of teasing and sucking I was staring at the wolf's cock in full, 9 inches of hot wolf cock throbbing in my face and spurting pre into my mouth. I moved my hand upwards to the base of his sheath to grip the knot, at which point Kosa yipped.
“Not....Not so fast, I'm very sensitive there. Take it slow, lets enjoy ourselves." Kosa explained as I directed my attention away from his knot, continuing to suck and pull along his shaft with my mouth and dancing my tongue around his slit.
I began to bring myself into a rhythm. Pulling Kosa's meaty cock into my mouth, applying pressure with my tongue, tasting for any of his copius amounts of cum, and pulling back out only to repeat again. Kosa appeared to be in heaven. He looked down at me as I made eye contact looking back up at him. Gripping the back of my head as he began thrusting in time while pulling my mouth deeper onto his cock. His cock began stabbing the back of my throat, at first I had trouble with it but as I began relaxing and overcoming my reflexes he was beginning to slip into my throat deeper with every thrust. I had no choice but to drink down his cum, not that I minded. Soon enough Kosa's movements became frantic. He continued thrusting and pulling me into his cock desperately until I could feel his cock twitch and throb in my throat and around my tongue. In one final thrust Kosa held my held in place, nose stuffed against his crotch with nothing to breathe in but his fine musk, as his cock began pumping spurt after spurt of his seed down my throat. Kosa held me there for half a minute, twitching in the grip of my throat and moaning out in pleasure his own incoherent ramblings. Eventually he came down in time for me to pull out and catch my breathe.
I laid there for a few minutes with my head on Kosa's thigh catching my breathe and he twiddled and pet the top and side of my head. Eventually Kosa raised me back up to a sitting position on the couch and leaned me back, bringing his muzzle up to my mouth and kissing me. He was very dominant in his kiss taking full control and try as I might to wrestle with his tongue I was no match. He continued pressing me back against the couch as his paws explored under my shirt while he continued his sloppy kiss. Kosa's hands slipped under my shirt, slowly pinching and rubbing along the sides of my chest and caressing my back as he began to lift my shirt up and over my head. With a brief pause in kissing to remove my shirt he dove back into my mouth with barely enough time for me to catch my breath. I was at the mercy of this beast and he ravaged my mouth with his tongue and I was loving every second of it. I could feel his hands trace downwards to my pants next, slowly he began unbuttoning and zipping down the fly as he migrated his sloppy kissing from my mouth to the side of my face, then down to me neck. I gasped as he nibbled gently with his teeth then sucked and licked with his lips against my neck. Threatening little nips and tugs of skin but delicate enough not to hurt, just to let me know he was there. He began to pull my pants down to my ankles as he slowly traced his tongue down my neck and chest along the way, nibbling, biting, and licking my nipples and stomach the whole way down. I looked down at Kosa as he looked up at me, our eyes locking as the beast in him told me he was in full control here. He brought his tongue down to my painfully hard cock as he brought his nose to the base of my shaft just above my sack. He inhaled my scent deeply looking me in the eyes and gave out a pleasured “murr" as he lustily opened his maw to slip his tongue out, wrap around the head of my cock and slowly pull it into his muzzle. The feeling of Kosa's muzzle was unreal. It was unlike anything I had every felt wrapped around my cock. The roof of his muzzle tickled the head of my cock as his tongue rhythmically undulated underneath my shaft. All the while sharp fangs just along the edge teasingly nipped and grinded against my flesh. Never painfully so but just enough to invoke a sense of danger.
Kosa continued the undulation of his tongue as I leaned back into the couch, unable to do anything but moan in pleasure as my cock twitched and throbbed in the grip of his maw. I tried to close my legs instinctively, tried to give my sensitive cock the slightest of breaks from this overly pleasureful feeling, but Kosa had gripped my knees and forced my legs apart giving me no choice but to endure his attentive mouth. It wasn't long after he had started I felt my orgasm coming.
“Kuhh-Kosa, I'm going to cum soon!" I whined out. I looked down at the wolf who just wagged his tail and gave me a lusty look in his eyes, it was enough to send me over the edge as my cock twitched and pumped jet after jet of milky cum down the wolf's teasing muzzle. After being seemingly milked dry and feeling overly sensitive I began to struggle in Kosa's grasp as he continued sucking and teasing my cock almost pushing me too far until he suddenly stopped and slipped my soggy sensitive cock from his mouth.
Kosa climbed up from the floor and joined me again on the couch as I slumped down onto my side. Kosa slipped behind me as he cradled my smaller body in his large frame, my back to his front. His muzzle was resting over my shoulder breathing softly into my ear as we both stared ahead at the credits now rolling on the screen, the movie having long since ended.
“Kosa, that was incredible." I said in a dreamy state.
“Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did." Kosa said as I could head the thump thump of his tail against the couch. We laid there together in each other's embrace and slowly let sleep take hold. It was easily the best I had ever slept.
