Chapter 3
Pliv's POV
“Nobody move! Nobody tries to play hero and nobody gets hurt," yelled out one of the
males. “This is a repossession!"
“And a robbery!" Yelled out the other, shooting his gun into the air too. Debris fell down
onto him, making him jump.
“Knock it off and watch your fire, dumbfuck," said the first male. The two males walked
towards the back, flanking both sides of the restaurant, the one with the handgun headed towards
me. I tried to duck down in the booth, putting my hands up to show that I was unarmed.
“We can take them!" Whispered Lefty. “We can rush him when he gets close."
“Two on one is one thing, but with civilians around…" said Righty.
“Guys, keep it down," I said, seeing the male walking towards me. My heart was racing
in my stomach as his side glance caught me. My blood froze in my veins, my eyes darting to the
left to see that I had left my wallet out on the table.
“J-Just take it," I said. “J-Just don't hurt me." The male grabbed it and looked inside. I
could feel his face turn to a frown as he looked back up at me.
“Yo, this shit pathetic," said the male. Before I could say anything he leveled his gun at
my head. Suddenly I could only see the inside of my hoodie, out of only Lefty and Righty. My
body flying backwards and into the booth behind me.
Muffled screams rang out as more rounds went through my hoodie, tearing through my
body. I could feel the impact but they didn't… hurt. As if the pain had been numbed completely.
I could feel that something hit me, but it's not like I was in serious pain from it.
“Okay, now it's personal," said Righty.
“They're going to kill everyone! We need to intervene," said Lefty. “Pliv, pull your head
together and let's get this started."
“How do I…?" I asked. I felt something shoot out of the back of my body and from the
back of my head, pulling everything back into my body. My sight returned to my main head as a
yellow light came from the bullet wounds in my chest. The light quickly faded as they healed up,
leaving only the holes in my clothes.
“Okay, I can fix that and…" I said.
“HEY, LET GO! M-MOM, HELP!" Yelled out a young voice. I looked up to see the
younger female panther being dragged off by the shotgun wielding robber as the one with a
pistol held the mother down.
“SHARA!" Yelled out the mother.
“Shut the…" said the pistol. There was a sudden blast from the kitchen, blowing the door
off the hinges, the body of a third robber flying through it and onto the ground. The robber let
out a painful moan as Ralphie stood in the doorway, leveling a double barreled shotgun at the
two.
Ralphie was the owner and chef of the place. He was an older bull wearing a white shirt,
blue jeans, and greasy apron with a hair net over his head.
“Stop right there," said Ralphie, aiming his gun. “And I won't have to…" The robbers
fired wildly at him, causing him to duck behind cover.
“Now's our chance," said Lefty. “Let's break this up!"
“Just keep clear of Ralphie," said Righty.
“Hey!" I yelled out, getting up from my seat. “Let her go!"
“What the…" asked the pistol weilding male. He aimed his gun at me again, hitting me in
the chest multiple times. I could feel them hitting me, but the pain did not phase me. I caught my
reflection in the bell on the counter, seeing yellow tentacles come out of my back, grabbing the
pieces shot out of me, and pulling them back in. The bullets falling out of the wounds as my
body healed from it.
“Oh fuck!" Yelled out the shotgun guy. He fired at me, blasting me in the arm, ripping it
off. A yellow tentacle reached out, grabbing my arm by the bone, and pulling it back into place.
A yellow light came from the wound, healing it instantly.
“Looks like my secret's out," I said as I pulled down my hood, revealing my skull face.
“Time to play!" Called out Lefty as he came out of the top of my hoodie.
“You are going to pay for that," said Righty as he came out of the hoodie as well.
“OH CRAP! RUN!" Yelled out the shotgun guy. He dragged the girl away as she cried
out as the pistol male grabbed the mother, forcing his gun to her head. The female started crying
as the robber's hand shook, trying to keep the pistol steady.
“D-DON'T YOU COME ANY CLOSER!" Yelled out the pistol male. I felt a tentacle
run down the back of my leg and slide into the ground as more slid out from under my jacket.
“Distract him, I'll take care of the gun," said Righty in our heads.
“Gotcha," said Lefty. “Pliv, you take the lead. Righty, give us some backup."
“Exactly what's your plan here?" I asked the robber, sliding the tentacles out of my jacket
more and more. “You kill her? You think I can't bring her back? I did it to myself just fine,
what's stopping me from doing it to her?"
“Or worse… you," said Lefty. “Killing you over and over and over and over again. Only
to come back each time for something much much much worse!" I could feel my pants getting
tighter, and a smile come to my face… if I had lips left. The thought of tormenting someone,
making them my submissive bitch was always something that I enjoyed. And now, I could do
that to criminals, people who actually deserved it!
“Oh, just the thought of it…" said Righty.
“It's honestly a turn on for me," said Lefty, a tentacle reaching down to my crotch and
rubbing it.
“M-M-Me?" Asked the robber.
“Well, yeah," I said, reaching up and caressing Righty and Lefty with my hands. “It's a
hive mind thing. You'll understand soon enough… After you join us." The robber's hand shook
wildly as he slowly backed away, dragging the waitress with him.
“S-Stay the fuck away from me!" Yelled out the robber.
I started to chuckle, staring him down as I said: “Funny, that's what these two said before
they joined me. And then, I just slid my tentacles in them, draining them of all of their fluids.
You should have seen them as prunes, before turning into bones and dust. And now, you see
where they are."
The robber turned his pistol on me again, about to fire, as a tentacle shot out of the
ground. It wrapped around the robber's hand, encasing the gun and preventing it from firing.
“Gotcha," said Righty. The robber let out a blood curdling scream as my other tentacles
shot at him, tying him up and making him release the waitress. The one from the ground
retracted back into me as I approached him.
“No, no no no no no!" yelled out the robber. His claws dug into my tentacles, trying to
scratch away at it, but to no avail. I got in his face, staring him down, the warmth of his breath
striking my skull as he panicked.
“Who are you and why were you after the girl?" I asked him. “And don't bother trying to
lie to me."
“I-I-I ain't s-s-saying…" said the robber in a panicked voice.
“Well we tried. Time for the fun way," said Lefty. He reeled back his head and spat a
wad of yellow liquid onto him.
“Do we have to spit for that to work at all?" I asked in our heads.
“I think so actually," said Righty.
“I know, gross, but it works," said Lefty.
The liquid flowed down from the robber, sliding across the floor, and then forming again
as a perfect clone of the robber. Just like what happened to the rabbit when I first changed. A
perfect clone that I could control.
“What, the…" said the waitress.
“Sorry, where are my manners?" Asked the clone. “I'm a member of Cardia. The girl
recently received a new kidney from us. The mom's late on her payments so, we're repossessing
the organ."
“WHAT… HOW THE…?" Asked the robber.
“Oh fuck," said the waitress.
“And Cardia sells black market organs? I take it?" I asked.
“And other medical things," said the clone.
“Like drugs?"
“Exactly. And people for medical experiments."
“Medical experiments?" I asked. I turned my attention to the real robber, fearing the
worst. Was it these guys that kidnapped me? That sold me off to be tested on? I never had
dealings with them before, so why now? Unless, they were targeting random innocent people as
well.
“Well, kill him or…?" Asked Righty.
“No way! He needs to face his crimes," said Lefty. “He shot us! And robbed us."
“And possibly worse. We can't just let him walk away, not with work to be done," I said.
“We could encase him," said Righty. “Hold on, let me…"
The tentacles wrapped around the robber more and more, his screams curdling whatever
blood I had as he was encased in a giant yellow sphere. The silhouette of the robber could be
seen inside, frozen in time, as the ball started to roll away.
“Where is it…?" I asked. I saw the ball roll to a grate leading to the subway tunnels. It
melted down into a liquid and slid in, disappearing from site.
“...He's still alive right?" I asked with a hint of concern.
“Probably," said Righty, turning to the clone. “I need info. Every contact you have with
Cardia."
“Are we going after the girl?" I asked.
“They're going to cut her open! Yes, we are!" Exclaimed Lefty.
“W-What are you?" Asked the waitress. She was standing behind the counter, holding a
chef's knife pointed at us. Ralphie was standing in the doorway, his gun in his hands, but not
aimed directly at us.
“Right now, your daughter's last chance to not get cut open," said Righty.
“I'll get her back, you have my word," I said.
“Here's the list of all my direct contacts. Sorry, I'm new," said the clone as he handed me
a napkin with info written on it. “She was taken to our warehouse by the docks."
“Good, now play your role and don't raise suspicion," said Righty. “We'll need insider
info."
“On it," said the clone. He turned to the door and ran off into the darkness outside. I
looked down at the napkin and found a few names and an address written on it.
“It's a start," said Righty.
“Right… well time to dumpster dive for breakfast," said Lefty, the joy leaving his voice
as the rush wore off. “And here we were hoping for something simple."
“Hey," said a voice. I turned to see Ralphie standing by the waitress, lowering her hand.
“You get the girl back, I can give you something to eat," said Ralphie with a stoic look.
“Um, I…" I started to say. My stomach growled loudly as a pang of hunger rushed
through me. I sighed, looking up at them. It was obvious that I couldn't pay, and I wasn't about
to rob them for food.
“Yeah, I could tell," said Ralphie. “Here." He tossed me a wrapped up breakfast
sandwich, the heat of it coursing through the paper and into my hand. It had been so long since I
felt something warm in my hands, let alone edible.
“Dinner and lunch are on me too," said Ralphie.
“I… I can't. I don't have enough to pay and…" I said.
“You just stopped a robbery too. One that would've lost me a couple hundred dollars. I
can spare a few dollars worth of food. Now get going, she needs you."
I looked down at the sandwich and back up at the two, the waitress looking at me with a
mix of fear and sadness. She nodded and walked into the back as I walked out the front, with my
hood up and a sandwich in my stomach
