The first chapter of my Story series; Dragon Trinity. Life of Immortality.

A story of finding freedom, love and adventure, from the perspective of Dominion.

I'm woken by the rough sounds of my name being shouted from down the cave tunnel, outside of my sleeping chamber.

“My Dominion, my Dominion!" Is all I hear. Stirring from my slumber, I rise from the surprisingly comfortable stone floor, stretching my four limbs and spreading out my wings to their full span, while yawning before rapidly regaining my posture before Calamity could try to pounce on me. We shared an impulsive and brief but sweet kiss once, he has been coquetting with me to gain my mateship ever since. Most of the time I find his antics to be bothersome, occasionally however, I found it nice to be genuinely desired.

There are two reasons for which I tolerate the antics. Firstly we grew up together, he's become a life long friend, he's proven his loyalty and has gained my trust as a result. Secondly his obsession with me makes him very obedient, I could make him do practically anything I desire, he would happily hand over his hoard to me if I were to ask him, not that I'd have much use for medicinal herbs and the likes, but if I ever fancied a salad, I suppose I know who to ask.

I glare towards the chambers entrance waiting for the obnoxious green oaf to enter, hoping his disturbant yelling is important enough to have awoken me. The green scaled dragon finally appears rushing in and almost stumbling over his forelegs with his hind as he gallops towards me, partially bowing and extending out his wings to slow himself. He slides in close to try and shove his snout into mine. My claws clasping around his muzzle prevent him from making his desired contact, before I push back and set him onto his rump, his yellow underbelly too bright for my weary eyes.

“I'm not in the mood" I simply snarl down to him. An all too familiar mischievous grin across his jaw line peeks through between my claws, indicating he was not paying attention, innocent of what I am accusing him of, yet he knows full well what he is doing. “Well?!" I growl at him letting go of his snout. His grin drops and a tone of formality fills his usually childish demeanour

“Oh right! My Dominion, your Sire has summoned you to the High Court, immediately!" he finally blurts out.

Great, that is all I need, another lecture from the so-called 'tyrannical dragon of all dragons.'I am not in the mood for his demands of me; 'Take this message here. You will share a meal with this dragon. Spy on that dragon. Appear formally for these dragons.' I have had enough.

Calamity was waiting for me to move out, his yellow eyes darting from me back to the entrance from which he'd entered. My Sire, Sovereign, had granted him the privilege of being my ward. The five horned muppet was meant to lead me, however, after the first day of being my ward, I'd commanded him to follow my lead instead, having realised he was purposely flicking his tail up to show me his ass as a part of his courting attempts. When it came to my sire unfortunately, I made sure the original formalities persisted, lest he think I was going against his will and thus incur his wrath, which was quite unbearable.

“Well, lead on" I gesture with my foreleg and grumble a little, the reverberance of annoyance bringing a sly smile back to Calamities face.

“Oh, right, certainly my Dominion" Calamity spins round as his satisfied grin stretches across his entire muzzle, purposely shoving his rear end in my face, to which I glower at, before he heads out of the chamber. He lacks self control.

Moving my own black scaly hide I follow Calamity along a grey mossy tunnel as he leads me towards the High Court, flicking his tail up persistently. While I show to simply be tolerating his provocative actions, in truth he is quite the handsome dragon and while I'd certainly never admit it to him, he knows how to arouse me.

Unfortunately I have no interest in mateship right now, for one, my Sire would never allow me to soul bind to a lesser dragon class. He would also want me to produce an heir, which is somewhat difficult with another male. I hated having to live up to his expectations, it made me feel like a prisoner, carrying a burden I never desired in the first place. Sadly I had neither the support, nor the strength to confront Sovereign on what I desired; to be free from his political domination over the Dragon Realm. Our family name and bloodline; Tyrannical are much akin to titles of power. Like the rest of my ancestors, my Sire thrives on power and control, practically consumed by it all. Unlike him and my ancestors however, I wanted none of it. I wanted to be free of that lineage.
