A Pet for a Gentleman Cat
It's been over a week since the incident at the community center, and Edna can't get it out of her head! Animal people? Walking and talking animal mutants? It seemed unbelievable but when Edna hears about people disappearing and sightings of a strange cat monster, she has to investigate.
But Edna gets closer to the incident than she ever wanted.
Edna is a character i have big plans for and I mapped out her story already. with this chapter I wanted to explain her natural progression from that first chapter in the community center.
This chapter might be shorter but this arc will be a few chapters and I want to pace it out well.
It was last week where Edna had her most unbelievable experience of her life-- so unbelievable she wasn't sure it was real. While doing a seminar at the local community center, she and her co-workers were visited by talking animal people that magically turned Edna and her friends into animal people too!
The strange creatures held Edna and her human friends overnight and turned them back into human the next day, but it had become the only thing Edna could think about since then. Was any of it real? Were those kinds of monsters still out there? If monsters and magic existed, what did it mean for the world?
Edna stopped the car and looked out at the mailbox. 'DRECKER' it said. This was the place.
She parked on the side of the road and got out. It was a pleasant Saturday. There was a nice breeze, the birds were chirping, and the sky was blue. Edna picked right when she got on her corduroy jacket. She let it hang open letting the world see her gym tee.
She didn't go to that part of town often. The roads waved up and down the ground and there were lots of trees with houses spread out down those old roads. She looked at the Drecker house. Single floor, not very big. It was time to go see who was around.
Edna walked up the stone path to the concrete doorstep and looked for a doorbell. There wasn't one. She knocked on the wooden door, hoping she wasn't waking anyone up that early afternoon.
There was a muttering and steps. Through the porthole Edna could see the screen door open up. The wooden one followed. A middle-aged lady appeared. "Hey, no soliciting." She looked over Edna's shoulder at the wall. "I should get a sign."
"I'm not selling anything," said Edna. "I just wanted to ask about the man that disappeared around here the other day."
"Oh," said the woman, slouching with a dreary look on her face. "Uh... I told the cops everything I needed to."
"Yeah," said Edna, "but this is a private investigation."
"Someone hired you?" the woman looked Edna up and down. "You don't look like a detective."
Edna remained quiet and let the lady continue talking. The woman took a hand to her chin, stroking her cheeks. "Yeah... Renton was his name. He was fishing down by the stream. Some people do that."
"Did you meet him there?" asked Edna.
The woman nodded. "I was out for a walk and saw him by there. He didn't seem like the talkative type so I didn't bug him." The woman chuckled, raising her brow. "I didn't see the cat person that everyone was talking about. Just saw Renton and then..." she slapped her hands at her sides-- "he went missing."
"Ok, thanks," said Edna.
The woman waved Edna out and Edna went back to her car. She pulled out and drove down the road, keeping an eye on the trees and the ground to see if she could see the stream that the woman mentioned. Maybe there was a clue.
It didn't take long for Edna to find the stream. The water flow went into a pipe that went under the road. Edna pulled over and got out of the car.
The trickle of a stream was gentle. Edna walked down beside the road to the curve the stream flowed down and walked along the water.
"Ok," she said, "Now what am I looking for?"
It was a good question. What was she looking for? She didn't know. After the incident a week ago, she couldn't think of many things other than her experience at the community center where a couple animal-people turned Edna and her co-workers into animal-people and forced them to be in a movie. She couldn't get the image of herself as a frog out of her head.
She wasn't sure she believed it. It seemed like a dream and she waited for the event to leave her head, but then she read in the newspaper that there were missing people around town and that there were sightings of a cat person walking around. To most people, it would be crazy. But Edna had reason to believe the cat person was real.
But what evidence was she looking for? A stray tail? A tuft of her? She didn't know. After the film-making animal-people left the community center, they left no trace of their presence there. The mysterious cat person was likely the same.
Edna sighed. She knew it was futile to play detective, but after the incident at the community center, she couldn't think of anything else to do with her spare time.
Chomesh stalked.
He had a sense for how to remain undetected. He moved from tree to tree with the grace of a breeze and the silence of a leaf. In his short time in the human world, his skill for creeping through the land had grown sharp. He was a ghost.
The cat man crept through the forest, tail swaying behind him. His fur was orange with brown stripes and his eyes were as green as emeralds. He wore an old-style suit. He had a top hat with holes on the side of the band so that his ears could peek through. His jacket was a bright kind of blue that contrasted with the dark gold of his vest. His pants were a brown dark enough to be mistaken for black with straps that went around his otherwise bare feet.
It was a little early for him to be searching for his next victim, but he liked the thrill of hiding under the afternoon sun. He had to cover all his angles or he would be found out.
He carried with him a staff, blue in color like his jacket. At the end of it was a yellow jewel, cut with beautiful precision.
The remote parts outside of town were the best for abducting people, even if chances were rare to come by. But if someone did come his way, it wouldn't be too hard for him to take them away to his little hideout.
He walked through a grouping of trees behind several houses. Even if someone peeked out a window his way, they would likely not know what they were seeing and he would be gone before they could come outside to investigate. He was like the wind.
Chomesh was approaching a stream where he found Renton. The stream had produced one delicious victim, why not another. And just as the though passed through his feline head, he saw a girl-- Edna-- by the stream, looking around idly. She was alone and far from any houses. If she had the chance to scream, she would draw attention though.
Chomesh would have to be careful...
He walked over to her, keeping his eyes on the human girl. Edna didn't seem to notice his presence, but Chomesh kept low and stalked her like a panther. A panther wearing elegant clothes anyway.
Edna turned herself away from Chomesh and the cat knew it was time to strike. He raised his staff and aimed it at the girl. What form to give her? Oh, it was such a decision to make but he had no time. His brain flashed the image of a shark and out a bolt of light shot from the jewel on his staff, firing right at Edna.
It was so quick that Edna didn't recognize the transformation right away. She felt a weird feeling all over her body, just for a second. Then she noticed that the ground had gotten farther away from her head and her arms were white. Her hands no longer had any claws and her chest was much larger. It was a lot like when she was turned into a frog.
Oh no, she had been transformed into something!
Before she could say anything, she felt a stiffness ride up her entire body. She stood up straight and stared out into the trees, unsure what was going on. No matter if she struggled, her body wouldn't respond. Was it just a transformation, or was she having a brain malfunction?
As she stared out in front of her, struggling to move, a cat man moved into her sight with a sneering smile aimed at her. Chomesh had his staff out, with a beam of light emanating from its jewel, colliding with Edna's form.
"Hello, precious," said the cat. "I am Chomesh, and I am your new master."
Edna stared at the creature. It had been a week since she last saw one of those animal-people. Seeing one again was eerie. Why was a cat face moving like that? Expressing like that? Her brain couldn't feel comfortable watching the cat move in the way he did.
Chomesh stared at Edna. She had been transformed into a white shark. She was 6 and a half feet with broad shoulders and a large chest jutting out of her jacket like mountains blasting up through some trees. Edna had powerful legs inside those cargo pants. The toes on her feet were featureless.
"You may have noticed that your body had changed," said the cat man. He shrugged. "I have plans for you, so I need you in a different form." He walked closer and with his empty hand patted her shoulder. "You may also notice that you can't move. With this--" he tapped his staff-- "I can control you." He chuckled. "It's so you can't scream or run away. Actually..." Edna turned around and walked forward through the forest-- "I need you to come with me."
Edna walked a few paces aimlessly then Chomesh came up beside her. Edna peered over to her side to see that Chomesh still had his staff on her, pouring that stream of mystical light into her.
"Let's see," said Chomesh, "I think I'll take you back to the pit right away."
They walked. Edna could feel the dirt, leaves and twigs beneath her feet so she assumed that her shoes had disappeared, although she couldn't look down to see. The same thing happened when she was transformed into a frog-- shoes went bye-bye.
Chomesh stared at his creation more. The shark lady was stacked and pretty altogether. He would have to consider inviting her into his bedroom that night.
"Don't you worry," said Chomesh, "You are perfectly safe. You are fine. You are just... my little puppet for the moment until we get you home."
Edna winced. She tried some more to break free of his control. She knew that if she succeeded in regaining control of her body, the magician cat would do something more drastic to retaliate but she wanted to reclaim her bodily autonomy anyway.
Her arms were stiff at her sides. Her legs took steps like a toy soldier. She could only turn her neck a few degrees. This was going to kill her back later.
As the two approached a road, Chomesh flicked his ears up to hear any cars. No one was around. He and Edna crossed the road, two animal-people strutting across the road like it wasn't anything weird.
Edna got a look at Chomesh again and noticed he had a tail. He was one of them, for sure. Edna couldn't look behind her shoulders but didn't feel a tail swinging behind her. Last time she was transformed, she was turned into a frog. Frogs didn't have tails so she would have missed out anyway if humans turned to animal-people grew tails.
Chomesh looked over at the shark lady and glanced down at her pants. He willed her to stop and as she stood there, hands at her side, he walked over and reached a hand out. Edna winced as the cat patted down her thighs.
"Hmmmm..." said Chomesh. "That's weird. Usually you wet your pants."
He looked up to Edna's eyes. She was more uncomfortable then she was terrified. That was unusual.
Chomesh tapped the end of his staff, the waves of light still flowing out of the jewel at Edna. "I am going to allow you to speak. Do not scream for anything or I'll make you regret it."
Edna nodded, and Chomesh released her mouth.
"Uh," said Edna. Her mouth was working again. She turned a glare at Chomesh. "W-who are you?"
"I am Chomesh," said Edna. "I am a visitor to your little realm."
Chomesh commanded her to walking and the two continued on.
Edna struggled to free her arms, but it was no dice. "So why are you here?"
"I've made too many enemies in my home dimension," said Chomesh, "so I want to hide out here." He raised a hand up, gesturing at everything. "But your world is so boring, so I'm--" He glanced at Edna's body, her bigger size and large chest-- "spicing it up a bit!"
"Are you going to hurt me?" asked Edna.
Chomesh glanced at her but said nothing for a moment. He smiled. "Not unless I have to."
"What are you going to--"
"Please keep quiet until we are at the pit," said Chomesh.
Edna didn't know if Chomesh had commanded her magically to keep quiet, but she kept her mouth shut and obeyed. It was then she noticed her heart racing. For how casual a conversation they had, Edna had still been turned into a creature and that was strange to the nth degree.
The girl lost track of how far they had walked. They went through maybe a mile of trees, passing across lonely roads and keeping far away from any houses they had spotted. When they heard voices shouting in the distance, Chomesh made sure to seal Edna's ability to speak until they were out of range.
They went down a hill into a bramble of bushes but on second look, Edna realized concrete walls stretching across the ground into the distance, cutting between trees and shrubbery. She saw a building built into a small cliff. Was this a kind of compound?
Chomesh directed her down the wall and found a weathered gate. The thing screeched when it opened and Chomesh and Edna walked in to a concrete lot. The floor was cracked and invaded by weeds and moss and from inside, Edna could see that a lot of the large bushes were clothes for small pre-fab buildings.
What is this place? asked Edna.
The cat lowered his staff and Edna regained control of herself. She extended a leg out and stretched. She had control of her body again.
"Do not think of running away," said Chomesh. "You are a prisoner here."
"O... ok," said Edna.
"Follow me," said Chomesh.
They walked forward, turned a corner and went down a flight of stairs to a wide open area. There was a barrel with a fire going in the center and a cage on one end of the floor. Inside the cage was a collection of people... animal people. Edna could tell from their scared looks that they were more of Chomesh's victims.
Edna looked over the victims. There were 7 of them there, at least in the cage. There was a stork girl, about Edna's age. There was an older dog man, staring out with tired and sympathetic eyes. There was a 6 foot lioness woman, wearing athletic gear that showed off her muscular body.
Even more muscular, there was a lizard guy: over 6 feet tall and was built like a brick shithouse. The only thing that he wore was a pair of beige slacks so everyone got a good look at his bare chest showing off stony pecs and abs. There was a rat lady in a wool long coat, older with the grayness in her fur. And then there was Renton, a fox guy.
Then Edna noticed a sheep girl in the back of the cage, cigarette in her fingers. As she walked to the front of the cage, Edna saw her powdered eyes. She gazed at Edna.
"Good evening, pets," said Chomesh. "There's an eighth of you today. This here is, uh..." the cat looked over at the shark girl. "What did you say your name is again?"
Edna looked at everyone. Was this a time for proper introductions? "Uhhhh..."
"Give me your name or I'll call you Tuna," said Chomesh, breaking out into a laugh.
"Edna," she said, "My name is Edna." Saying her name out loud felt like she was giving leverage to the cat master.
"Good then," said Chomesh, "Edna it is." He walked up to the cage and took out a key-- an old-fashioned one with squarish teeth. He took it to a rusty lock and turned it. A click and the door swung open. The inmates shuffled over to the doorway.
"Go in and meet your roommates," said Chomesh. "I'll go fetch a cot for you. And--" Chomesh slammed his hand on the bars, gazing up at Edna with vicious eyes. "Don't you think about escaping. I'm serious."
Edna gulped and watched the cat regain his relaxed posture and walk away, twirling his cane and swaying his tail. The shark lady had to duck her head to fit in the door. She knocked her fin on the top anyway.
She stared at everyone, everyone staring back with frightened eyes. Even if they knew she was a victim like the rest of them, the big shark girl was intimidating.
"Are you all humans?" asked Edna. "Urrr... former humans?"
Silvio, the older dog man, stepped forward. He took his hat off his furry head and held it to his chest for a moment. "That we are, young lady. All of us."
"Are you ok?" asked Bridget, the lioness girl. "Do you need to sit down?"
Edna looked at herself. She had to lean her body to see around her massive rack. She brought a hand up to those boobs and felt them. She was heavy. There wasn't any pride in the matter-- it was a new and fascinating experience to have that much mass hanging off her chest.
She looked down and saw her feet. They were big and clawless. She reached her hands up to her face. She had a snout, and a big mouth full of teeth.
"I'm a... shark?" asked Edna, unsure.
They nodded. Callie, the stork, took Edna's arm. "Here. There's a mirror."
Edna let the stork take her over to a rubbish counter over in the corner. There was a hand mirror on it and Edna picked it up. There were marks all over the mirror but Edna could see her face. She was a white shark with a fin on her head. Edna then became aware of how big her head was compared to her body.
"Wow..." said Edna.
Callie looked down. Funny, that was usually when people pissed their pants but Edna was a brave trooper it seemed.
Edna put the mirror down and walked back over to the crowd. Everyone introduced themselves, exchanging names. Finding out that the fox was named Renton confirmed that Edna knew the whereabouts of the area's most recent missing person. Most recent until Edna went missing just a half hour ago. The big lizard guy couldn't speak and the others called him Lizard because nobody knew his name.
Edna stared at Lizard's chest, and she couldn't help but want to touch it. He was so ripped. She looked down to see if she could get a shape of his cock.
The shark stopped herself. She had been captured by a cat person not even an hour and she was thinking of sex? But her mind went back to the night that she and her committee friends were transformed. The session that she and Donnie shared was amazing. Did getting turned into animal people make things sexier?
Edna looked down at her boobs again and wondered if that might have been the case.
Taking her eyes off her huge rack, she asked: "So did Chomesh cast a spell that prevents Lizard from talking?"
"No," said Silvio. "He's so scared he cannot speak."
Callie walked forward and patted Lizard's slacks. Damp. "And so scared he's been peeing his pants." Lizard blushed and fidgeted with his hands.
Edna checked around. "How long have you guys been in here?"
Tabitha, the elderly rat lady, wore a burgundy wrap that showed off a lot of the lady's prominent cleavage. She may have been old, but that chest was luscious! She wore dingy jeans and her pink rat feet were bare. She crossed her arms, pushing up her breasts. "Long enough to have missed the latest episode of Daisy Hills!"
Bridget looked down at her stork inmate. "Callie's been here the longest. She was Chomesh's first victim."
Callie cracked a smirk. "It's been six days." She sighed. "You can't escape. Chomesh put a barrier up around the zoo. It's like a magic wall."
"A zoo?" Edna looked around. "Is that what this place is?"
"Yeh," said Silvio. "It closed down years ago but--" He gestured at everyone-- "looks like somebody wanted to re-open it!"
Bridget listed everyone off. "Then it was Silvio, then it was Geri, then--"
There was a dripping sound. Everyone looked over at Tabitha, her pants swimming with wetness. The rat lady stared out into space casually as pee flowed off her legs and onto the ground, dripping from her crotch and trickling out the bottom of her cuffs.
Bridget scowled and stepped away. "Tabitha! Quit doing that!"
The others backed away from the rat lady too.
Tabitha, slid a gaze over at Bridget, a petite smile on her snout. "Why? I had to go."
"Use the toilet like the rest of us," said Bridget.
"I'm a rat," said Tabitha, the flow of her urine slowing down. "Rat's aren't continent."
Edna was dumbfounded. At first she thought that the lady might have had age-based incontinence but the lady was actually embracing her wild side and abandoning potty training.
Silvio approached her, careful not to step in her puddle. "At least let me help you clean up."
Tabitha shrugged. "If yer offering!"
The dog man and rat lady walked over to a door in the side of a small building, Tabitha's pants drenched with pee and it dripping off behind her. The two opened it up and left the area, a large metallic slam on its closing.
Callie rubbed a hand down her beak. "Forgive her. She's... taking being an animal very seriously."
Everyone was a new victim to being an animal person-- or zooman as the animal-people back at the community center claimed. Edna was different from the rest of them.
"This..." Edna stammered. She didn't know how to bring it up. "This isn't the first time I've been--" She gestured at herself-- "transformed."
Everyone perked up. "Really?" said Callie.
"It was a week ago," said Edna. "Or maybe two?" She took a hand to her head. "I can't remember."
Bridget smiled. "So you escaped! And got turned back into a human?"
"I didn't escape," said Edna. "I was let go."
Chomesh came whistling on by, a cot beneath his arm. Just like he left, he came back twirling his can. He walked over to the others, with a sinister smile on his face.
Bridget frowned. "I don't think Chomesh is going to let us leave."
