Mark of the Fang
Wrote most of this in a week, and it started with an adult scene idea that I had in mind. Basically, two colleagues are at a research facility doing meager studies involving the forest, etc. when one encounters a mysterious wolf. Since there was plenty of adult content already provided, I did not elaborate on one final scene and cut it off. It felt kinda redundant after everything. I haven’t written a transformation story before (at least that I can remember), and I was not sure how much to detail certain scenes or not. In all, this should feel brief enough and leave room for a continuation if there’s any interest.
Side note: The tags only explain so much, but there’s partial transformation involving the growth of thick groin fur.
Edit: thank you for corrections!
The sound of a car engine turning off was met with a brief moment of silence as the dust from the gravel road settled. The blaring sound of a distant katydid greeted the driver as the door opened. The afternoon air was hot, typical for a day in late June. Dan stretched for a few moments before retrieving his packed belongings in the trunk.
'I'm finally here.' Arms full, he turned his sights to a lone building at the top of a gently sloping grassy hill surrounded by forest. It was a small modern facility in a remote location, and the area he would be spending roughly one month of time at with a colleague. He walked steadfastly to the entrance to seek relief from the hot sun. As he approached the front door, it opened up revealing a conservatively dressed woman standing there to greet him.
“Hello, you must be Eva." He shook hands.
“That's correct, and you're Dan?" She brightly smiled.
“That's me! It's nice to finally meet you in person. The phone calls and emails were tedious, but that's what you get with program managers."
“Haha. They can be a little over the top, but come on in. It's hot enough out here." She ushered him inside. The facility was modest in side with an open front room than connected to an entryway to a kitchen and dining room.
“Welcome to the little outpost." Eva held out a hand. “Upstairs is your room, first on the left. Kitchen is in the back, and the showers are through that door. They're like a gym so always knock before going in."
“Noted. This is a perfect little spot." He looked around.
“Need any help with your bags?"
“I've got them, but thank you!" He smiled. “I actually wanted to go outside and explore around for a little while."
“You want to go out? It's already mid afternoon and you just arrived."
“I've been sitting in a car for more than an hour, riding along a roller coaster road." He insisted. “I'll just look around the main trail and get familiar with the area."
“If you insist." She shrugged and let him run up to his temporary bedroom. Dan changed into more comfortable clothes, a linen shirt and shorts, before heading back outside. He didn't feel much guilt over skipping any little formalities. Even though he was housed with another researcher, they weren't going to be spending much time together. Everything was supposed to be strictly professional anyway.
'It's great to be outta that car!' He glanced at the gravel road before turning his sights to the forest itself. Without hesitation Dan walked across the grass towards the forest as it was calling for him. The heat wasn't terrible when dressing appropriately, and not having to wear dress shoes and long khakis for a job was a big plus in his opinion.
“The flora is beautiful out here." Oaks dominated the forest but pine, beech, chestnut, and red maples were also noticeable. Always an avid admirer of the outdoors, Dan always enjoyed being outside as a youth as well as an adult. Having a chance to do real work outside related to research was something he had dreamt of.
'I wish my last employer would've let me study game trails on the middle of nowhere.' He half joked. Dan stayed along the main trail, but meandered on occasion to his heart's content. The trees appeared endless, and were full of life. The myriad of bird calls throughout the forest blended together in a natural melody.
The minutes quickly slipped away as he hiked around, jumped over fallen logs, inspected meager saplings, and lingered around a tiny creek. It was the perfect way to unwind after a long car ride.
“I might be getting carried away. I think it's been nearly an hour already." He realized as the sunlight was block by cloud cover. It wasn't unlike him to get carried away so easily, but he had been having fun. The cawing of a crow briefly sounded off somewhere close by.
“Time to go." He glanced over his shoulder only to turn around as he noticed a figure standing nearby. Dan almost jumped, thinking it was a bear at first, only to recognize anthropomorphic features. The entire body was covered in dark brown fur with a mottled pattern. Digitigrade legs stood tall with strength, and hands possessed formidable claws. Even with such a physique, more feminine traits were subtly visible underneath her fur coat. A pair of light yellow eyes watched him closely.
'That's a wolf.' Dan had been told about a small native wolf village living close to the research facility; but he wasn't expecting to see anyone from it. They largely kept to themselves, and out of human affairs. He had been advised to avoid them.
'Has she been watching me this entire time?' He felt uneasy as she stood nearby and watched him. Rather than ignore the wolf, Dan turned to face her. It was odd how she simply stared back.
“Who are you?" He asked the mysterious canine anthro.
“I am Wosu." Her voice was rough yet feminine.
“Wosu? Ok, I'm Dan." He introduced himself. “Do you live around here?"
“Yes."
'Duh. That's obvious.' He thought to himself.
“This is an ancient forest. Why are you here?" She asked.
“I'm from the facility." He pointed up the trail. “I'm going to help map out game trails. I know others have used this place for years, so you've likely seen others doing different fieldwork."
“I have." She nodded and started walking towards him. Dan took a half step backwards, but the wolf stopped just a few feet away from him. The human could look her over in greater detail, noticing her thick black claws, leather belt, and a stone knife by her side. She appeared older or possibly middle aged, but it was difficult to tell for his human eyes.
“Well… uh. It was nice to meet you, Wosu, but I have to return to the facility now. It's getting late." He felt a little nervous standing close to her.
“Will you be on the forest again?" She asked.
“Yes, but I need to leave. Thank you."
“I will see you again." She ominously spoke as he turned to leave.
“Bye." He gave a courteous wave, hoping that they wouldn't run into each other again.
'I wonder if Eva has seen-.' In a swift move that blurred from the corner of his eye, Dan was caught completely off guard as the wolf lowered her head and rushed to his side. There was a sudden pain in his arm. In the blink of an eye he was staring at the wolf biting into flesh, drawing blood.
“Ahh!" He yelled and fell backwards as she let go. Two distinct tooth marks, red with his blood were visible on his skin. Pain briefly seared through his arm again only to radiate with a dull ache. Clutching the wound, he silently cursed under his breath. He looked up with a scowl, ready to defend himself, but found that the female wolf had disappeared.
'Where-?' He looked around, eyes darting about expecting her to appear from behind the trees or bushes, but nothing happened. Only the natural silence of the forest was heard. Completely confused, he rose to his feet and was at a loss for words. The surprise attack had lasted only an instant, and now she was gone.
“I need to get this cleaned…" He uncovered his forearm, hoping to assess the bite mark only to find healthy skin instead.
'It's gone?' He blinked in disbelief. The tooth marks had vanished entirely, as if nothing had happened at all; although his arm still felt a little sore from the bite itself. Dan stopped and looked around the grass and closest trees. He walked around for a moment and then plucked a blade of grass. He wasn't dreaming.
“I was just talking to a wolf and then she bit me before disappearing, but the mark is gone too." He couldn't believe the words he was uttering to himself. It had all just happened!
“Am I going mad?" He looked at his right hand and discovered not even a trace of blood on his palm. The pain from the attack had faded away like an old memory too. The human was left standing alone in the forest.
***
The hour was late as Dan returned to the facility, the sun starting to set towards the unseen horizon. He felt a little relief seeing both vehicles parked close by. At least he wasn't alone to deal with what had happened. However, when he opened the door, the inside was completely silent.
“Eva?" He called out but received no response. His steps softly echoed as he looked around.
'She must be outside somewhere.' He reasoned and with an exhausted sigh, headed upstairs.
Dan had already gone to bed by the time the sun set and darkness fell across the valleys and forests. It had been a long and strangely eventful day, but he expected a good night's sleep as a reward. However, the human found no such relief awaiting him. He rolled restlessly in bed, tossing sheets and covers in the process. Time ticked by agonizingly slow; one hour and then another until it was just past midnight. Sleep would not come to him, and it was a losing battle to fight. His thoughts constantly drifted between walking through the forest, and then the wolf biting him. Dan finally sat up with an aggravated huff.
'I need fresh air.' He looked at the doorway with urgency. In a blur he found himself downstairs and then outside the facility. The nighttime air was warm, and still without the trace of a breeze. Crickets, katydids, and other numerous unseen insects were chirping loudly from all around. The distant hooting of an owl caught his ear. His senses were keen to smell the warm earth and grasses around him, and yet his mind was still uneasy. Leaving the room wasn't enough.
As if guided by fate herself, he started walking aimlessly towards the forest, grass quietly crunching beneath his steps. The moonlight was faint, and only illuminated the field before him with a meager light. He looked into the darkness ahead where the trees towered silently together, but the human lacked any fear from the distorted shadows all around him. That was where he needed to be.
The human didn't know why, but his clothes suddenly felt restrictive, as if he was becoming claustrophobic by wearing them. He unbuttoned his shirt letting it part all the way down. He stripped his pants and undergarments off entirely next, leaving them behind in the grass. The air more freely touched his body. Dan felt some relief and more comfortable as he slowed his fast walk to a temporary stop.
“Phew." After wiping his forehead, he took a deep breath standing by a single large oak and a large boulder by the edge of the forest. The agitation his body and mind felt was tolerable for the moment, but something else lingered that he couldn't place quite yet.
'I guess I just needed to leave that room for a while.' He looked around the peaceful nighttime scenery. The grasses were still yet full of life as a variety of crickets and katydids chirped and made noise. The nearby trees stood tall and secretive with their pitch black shadows forming an opaque palisade to his eyes. Yet, with some moonlight on his mostly bare body, he quickly noticed something different about himself.
'What?!' His body had changed. A very dark patch of fur had grown over the entirety of his formerly clean shaven groin. He cautiously reached down and touched it, surprised that it was very soft, and very real. It was thick, exactly like fur, and very much attached to his body, tapering up to just below his navel.
“H-how?" He didn't understand. “Huh?" He blinked and froze as a familiar stiff sensation caught his attention next. The human noticed that he was suddenly fully aroused. Standing out prominently from the center of his newly furred groin was his throbbing manhood. However, his erection had changed as well, albeit more subtly than the thick growth of fur. He now had a distinct slight upward curve as if to attract attention more easily. The appearance was very erotic, and he couldn't help but notice his length throbbing so visibly, as if nodding in time to his heartbeat. He felt every pulse in rhythm with his heartbeat, and it wasn't abating.
“Why am I so aroused?!" He couldn't understand why, but it felt incredible at the same time. His length twitched stiffly as if nodding in agreement. His toes curled as he had the sudden urge to pleasure himself, but he hesitated. There was something wrong about tending to such a primal urge without care, and yet that urge was burning more fiercely than ever before inside him! Dan grumbled contemplatively, and took a few aimless tentative steps. His stiff manhood bounced, swayed, and bobbed along between his legs in need. The sense was overwhelming.
“Feeling restless?" A wolffish female voice pierced the darkness. Dan's eyes widened as he spun around and found the female wolf from earlier standing before him. The human nearly fell back at her sudden appearance.
'Why couldn't I hear her approach?' He started to wonder if she was a ghost or if this was a bad dream.
“Eh-what are you doing here?" Dan didn't feel the need to bother covering himself in the moonlight before the wolf. He knew he should've felt embarrassed being seen outside in the middle of the night in such a way, but in a flash, that modesty had vanished as soon as she had appeared. The wolf didn't seem to care anyway.
“I see my bite has had its effect." She calmly spoke in a voice that sent a chill up his back. It all suddenly made sense. The memory of her biting his arm was still vivid in his mind.
“What did you do to me?!" He demanded to know and grabbed his arm. The wolf only softly grinned in response as she took a step closer.
“Sit back." She instructed. Dan stepped back only to bump into a boulder behind him. With nowhere to run, he had no other option and watched the wolf approach. She knelt down between his spread legs, her eyes feasting on his excited manhood. He shuddered as her hot breath teased his achingly hard length, causing him to twitch with need.
“Wh-w-wait!" He nearly choked on his own words as the wolf's mouth parted, revealing her impressive canine teeth. His entire body tensed, heart thumped erratically, and eyes shut as he expected a nasty bite. However, he was entirely surprised to feel something wet, warm, and smooth touch him instead. His eyes opened wide as his body registered the lurid lick to the underside of his length.
“Ooohh!!" He groaned and gripped the stone beneath him. His fingers strained against the cold hard surface as she didn't stop. With excruciating slowness, the wolf licked him from base to tip, curling her tongue over his sensitive glan before repeating the entire motion. She tenderly swept over his balls next, as if coaxing them to release all of their pent up essence. It was all too much for the human to resist.
“Don't stop!" He couldn't help but utter as he craved it. His body needed it! His back arched and hips bucked as his cock twitched wantonly under the caress of her devilish tongue. He groaned as the pleasure wouldn't cease, and a strong climax erupted from within.
“Nnn-aaaaghh!" He nearly yelled into the night sky towards the heavens above. The moment of bliss was instantly the greatest he had ever experienced. The entire world might as well have stopped in that instant.
Panting heavily, he grunted again as she gave a final cleaning lick. A little jittery, he sat up only to find himself nearly nose to nose with the wolf. Dan felt afraid, but also saw her wolffish features as attractive in the moonlight. Beautiful groomed fur, a wild yet feminine figure, and eyes that reflected the moonlight. She possessed a wild beauty that he hadn't noticed before. Despite her powerful gaze, he was drawn to a familiar sensation lingering below. Dan touched his furred groin only to feel shocked.
“Why am I-?" He felt his length still twitching, hard as before. Despite the powerful climax, he was still throbbing rigidly and full of desire.
“H-how?" He could scarcely speak, partly out of confusion but also the desire still within him.
“You can climax twice now." She mentioned without explanation and touched his chin. The gentleness and strength in her fingers could be sensed through her little touch. The human looked deeply into her eyes, searching for answers.
“Your body will quickly grow accustomed to it." She mentioned with a little glee in her wolffish voice. The wolf let go of his chin, but her other leathery palmed hand touched his throbbing member down below. Taking a gentle grasp, she stroked his hard flesh to good effect.
“Mmmm-aaugh." He leaned back onto the stone and groaned, keeping his legs open for her attention. Every gentle stroke made his upward curving length twitch and glans flare with animalistic passion. Dan groaned again and closed his eyes as the pleasure wouldn't stop; and yet, he truly didn't want it to stop. The air was soon filled with his moans once again, drowning out the crickets around them. Everything else seemed to disappear into darkness as passing clouds obscured the mood and night sky.
Dan awoke with a light headache to the sound of a wren noisily chirping outside.
'It's morning?' He blinked only to shut his eyes tightly for a moment before carefully opening them again. His surroundings had completely changed. The human was lying in his bed at the facility wearing only a button down shirt from yesterday. The soft golden glow of morning sunshine filtered through the adjacent window revealing nothing out of the ordinary. His belongings were neatly tucked away and everything was well kept, save for the bedsheets messily piled at his feet.
'How did I get here?' He looked around the room in confusion. The grass, woods, soft sounds, and boulder were all gone. The wolf was nowhere to be seen either.
“Was all of that real?" He asked himself and held his forehead. The dull ache made his thoughts feel foggy, as if he was still dreaming. Dan slowly sat up, realizing his body lightly ached as well, but nothing otherwise hurt. A few easy stretches helped loosen up his body as he slipped out of bed.
'I don't think anyone would believe me.' He started to doubt the vivid experiences he had the previous day.
“Eva!" He suddenly wondered if she was in the facility before going out into the field. He left his room without thinking to properly dress and walked over to hers.
'I have to tell her what happened.' Dan found her door open and no one inside before hurrying downstairs. The soft muffled sound of running water drew his attention to the shower room. Shoving modesty aside, he pushed the door open and went inside where a light mist of steam greeted him.
“Eva?" Dan found his new colleague standing underneath a shower head, water pouring down her naked figure. His mouth opened to speak, but he fell silent as his eyes lowered to her body. His colleague had beautiful and smooth fair skin, but a large dark patch caught his attention. The thick fur similar to his own covered her entire groin, tapering up to just below her navel. The slight animalistic appearance made him second guess if it truly was his colleague.
“Dan?!" She covered her chest, but not her sex. They both stared at one another for a full moment as the water poured down her.
“So you were bitten too?" She presumed with her gaze lowering.
“Huh?" His brow knitted into confusion until he looked down. Not only had he not even noticed how naked he was standing before her, but his entire groin was covered in thick fur just like last night. It was dark black, and starkly contrasted against his flaccid manhood.
'All of that was real.' He stood silently for a moment only to refocus on her.
“Where did she bite you?" He questioned as she cut the shower off.
“Right here." She turned around and revealed two small black marks behind her shoulder.
'Two marks?' Dan looked at his left forearm, only to feel his eyes widen in shock. His skin had changed yet again! Two small black circles just like hers had formed where the two canine teeth had previously punctured his flesh, and immediately healed. There was still no other trace of injury, not even a modest scratch.
“Did this happen to you last night?"
“No, late evening." She shook her head. “I went outside wondering why you hadn't returned yet. I wasn't too worried, and thought you were nearby, but that's when she approached me."
“A female wolf." He guessed.
“Yes." She nodded. “I had seen her before, and I thought she was from the wolf village."
“You saw her before?"
“She was in the forest the day before you arrived. I was told we may see villagers from time to time, but generally they do not make contact with the people at this facility. I didn't think anything of it."
“I was told the same thing."
“When I turned my back to her yesterday, I felt her grab me, and then I was bitten on the shoulder." She shuddered at the scary memory. “I fell to the ground, but when I stood up, she had disappeared." Eva shrugged and grabbed a towel to cover her upper body.
“How are you not worried about this? You have a thick patch of fur just like me." He pointed out.
“I dunno." She shrugged. “I just feel calm, but tired."
“That's not at all how I felt last night."
“I didn't sleep very well." She shot a glare at him. “I was terrified and didn't know what to do."
“Okay…" He gave a slow nod and looked away. His cheeks flashed a hot red as the previous night's memories returned. The smooth hotness of her tongue gliding across his aroused length made a chill run up his back. He didn't want to admit how much he had enjoyed it.
“We need to find her."
“Where are you going to look? The entire forest?"
“It's a start." He paused and didn't have a better idea.
“The wolf village." She remembered. “She probably lives there."
“How far away is it?"
“A little over a mile and a half?" She wasn't sure. “Maybe two?"
“I'll pack." He quickly offered. “Take a nap before we go, if you want."
“Thanks." She started drying her hair as he turned and left. After grabbing something to eat for breakfast, he returned upstairs to his room to pack.
'Why did she bite us?' Dan eagerly wanted to understand what happened. There was so little that he understood in this very moment. He paused and looked himself over more closely thanks to the morning light. His arms, legs, and torso appeared normal. However, he noticed that his balls were completely covered in thick soft fur too. With a curious touch, the fur was no different than below his navel.
'Full?' The word felt odd to describe them, but that sensation was exactly how the human felt in the moment. In the center of the changes, his manhood was basically surrounded and partially obscured by his new groin fur. In the back of his mind he knew it wouldn't be obscured when fully erect. His flaccid length subtly twitched at the brief thought.
“I can't walk around half naked the forest with her." He reached over and grabbed some clothes to properly dress. He put on his underwear only to look himself over. It didn't make a lot of sense wearing the undergarment while the thick fur spilled out around each opening. Moreover, it felt oddly constricting to wear anything below the belt just like last night.
“This doesn't feel right." He walked around the room, but the undergarment only felt more constraining with each step he took. Dan grumbled with a sudden sense of frustration and yanked the hem down, freeing his furry groin.
“Phew." He instantly felt relief. “There's no point in wearing it." He slipped it off entirely, and ran his hand through the thick patch of fur. The underwear dropped to the floor as his fingers ruffled through his black fur. Dan didn't want to cover himself either anymore. He suddenly liked having himself visible, after all the fur was very dark and contrasted with his skin, so it would naturally attract attention. He couldn't explain it, but he left his pants and underwear on the floor.
Dan gathered his hiking backpack and some items to bring along. The last thing he wanted was to be unprepared after receiving the odd bite from the wolf. He set everything by the door once he was finished.
'I hope she has a good map of the entire area.' The small one he possessed didn't give enough landmarks or details for them to venture a few miles out. Dan stepped out and walked over to Eva's room.
“Are you ready, Eva?" He opened the cracked door. He found his colleague standing by her bed, but she was startled and shied away briefly. Her confidence and casual nature from the shower had diminished.
“You ready?" He asked again.
“No." She turned around and revealed that she was wearing a bra and a simple pair of women's underwear. However, the meager undergarment looked comical with all of the fur spilling around the hem, not to mention the fur it didn't cover at all.
“You don't need those. Your fur covers you well enough." He pointed out.
“You think so?" She pulled them off.
“Yeah."
“I guess you're right. It just suddenly feels so-."
“Constraining to wear them?"
“Yes, but the fur is so thick."
“I think you look good without wearing them." He admitted. “Your fur is nice." Dan was a little surprised by his own admission, but it was the truth. Eva felt a little less shy about stepping out of her underwear and then putting on a shirt. It didn't cover anything below the belt, but neither of them wanted that.
“Better?"
“Yes." She nodded and looked up at him. “Do you have everything packed?"
“I do." He pointed over his shoulder and walked with her. “Do you have a detailed map? Mine only shows a main trail around the facility."
“Yes, I have one." She led him downstairs to a desk drawer where some papers were kept. A modest rolled up paper map was pulled out and unraveled. The map showed the forested region in great detail with the facility in the center with a long windy road connecting to the more distant main road.
“They're right here." Eva pointed.
“Secoquon wolves." Dan read the written name aloud.
“That's the name of the tribe, and this is their village." She showed him a specific marking on the map.
“Perfect. We have everything we need." Dan confidently spoke. “We can take this trail and then go straight to the creek and follow it." He drew his finger over the paper.
“It should be an hour walk." Eva guessed.
“We can go now." He looked at her and received a nod. They soon left the facility wearing only shirts and carrying a backpack. Dan felt very optimistic and content walking through the grass. It was sunny and warm, but not yet hot. It felt good to let the mid-morning air and sunshine on his furry crotch and bare skin. He could intimately feel the subtle breeze blowing on him. Taking a deep breath, the subtle sweetness of the grass and scattered wildflowers smelled very nice. Dan turned his nose as they walked towards the forest. The woody smell of trees and earthiness of the ground was more apparent than it used to be.
'It hasn't even rained recently.' Normally, that was the only time he could smell the forest. A gamier scent crossed his nose next, one that was living.
“There's a deer nearby." He couldn't see it, but he knew it was back there in the deeper thickets.
“I can smell it too." Eva confirmed. Dan glanced over at his colleague. Her scent had changed too, but it was far better than any foul perfume that a woman wore. He couldn't describe the subtle aroma other than being wildly feminine, but his nose was keen to its presence.
'Why am I able to smell her?' He silently wondered. They entered the forest without hurry, having the entire day ahead of them. The dappled morning sunlight brightened sections of the green canopy above. The sounds of distant birds were keen to his human ears, and he was able to distinguish one from another. It was as if he was experiencing nature for the first time. Eva walked beside him, staying silent most of the way.
'Maybe she's scared.' It made sense in his mind, but he didn't mind either way. Having the unexplainable happen to them both was jarring, but he wanted answers.
“So…" Dan began. “What did the wolf talk to you about when you first met her?"
“She didn't say anything the first time I saw her; but when I was approached yesterday she asked me who I was. I asked her if she had seen you, because I didn't know where you ended up. She didn't tell me much else."
“That was around the time I was bitten."
“Why do you think she bit us?" She asked.
“I wish I knew, but she wanted this to happen to us." He glanced down at his bare waist and legs. Dan and Eva walked along the winding leaf littered trail dappled with sunshine. The summer heat was mitigated from the endless shade. They went further and further into the vast forest until reaching an old worn sign marking the end of the trail. A small rocky creek bordered the dead end and meandered alongside a steep slope going up.
“Downstream?" Eva looked to their left after checking the map.
“Yep. Let's follow the creek." He confirmed. Leaves noisily crunched beneath their steps as they meandered along the water's edge. Hoof prints from deer were visible in the sandy mud, but there wasn't a single sign of a wolf like Wosu. The longer they walked, the more Dan started to wonder if there was something wrong with the map. A soft rustling up ahead caught their attention as a figure trotted out towards them.
'A wolf.' Dan stopped with Eva. His fur was jet black with a diamond shape of white over his lower neck and upper chest. He wore nothing more than a leather belt with a sheathed knife and several decorative necklaces. Long braided hair had a few modest adornments like colorful bird feathers and string. In Dan's eyes the lack of clothing appeared very natural for the wolf, just how he felt about leaving his furred area uncovered.
The wolf approached them only to halt when they fully faced one another. The look on his canine face was confused at first, almost startled by discovering the two humans.
“Hello." Dan spoke up and took a step forward.
“You two don't smell human." The wolf looked at them both closely.
“Well, we are humans." Dan pointed out. 'At least I hope so.' He silently thought.
“Why are you here?" The wolf eyed them suspiciously
“We are looking for a female wolf named Wosu."
“Wait here. I will return." He spoke before suddenly leaving.
“What if we're turned away?" Eva asked.
“Let's wait and see." He remained hopeful. Thinking it over, he had no idea what they could do if the wolves didn't want them visiting. The two of them were nothing more than strangers to those who lived in the forest. The minutes slowly ticked by while they listened to the frequent chattering of birds from the canopies above. The soft rustling of paw steps eventually returned before the wolf emerged once again.
“No one by that name or description is from our village." He informed the humans. Dan and Eva looked at each other soberly.
'What do we do?' Dan was at a loss.'
“Thank you for telling us." Eva spoke up before starting to turn away.
“Some of the elders are curious. They wish to speak with you both." The black furred wolf said.
“Thank you!" Dan quickly spoke and gave a nod to Eva. There was a small chance they'd receive some answers after all. The wolf led them both down the creek to a modest clearing. It was a small canine village of maybe thirty or so dwellings nestled in the clearing. The homes were small and made primarily from wood. The smell of smoke and different scents made Dan's nose wiggle. The yapping sound of a whining pup was impossible to miss.
A few wolves were watching them a short distance away, but two wolves in particular stood at the forefront waiting for them. Their muzzles and faces were heavily ticked with white and silver hairs, indicating advanced age. Neither wore more than the rest of the present wolves, aside from necklaces and bracelets. The wolves' unwavering stoic gazes gave Dan an eerie feeling that they were meager strangers at best.
“We will speak to you both separately." The elder female directed Eva to come with her while Dan went with an elder male. A little pathway led across a shallow crossing at the creek to a thatched covering along a naturally formed rock wall. Four wooden stakes created a space underneath like a cabin, but there were no walls to speak of. Several odd bowls, pouches, and bundled dried herbs were organized in what appeared to be a shaman's workspace. Even though a few villagers could see them from a short distance away, it was still private enough to talk. The elder yawned before taking a seat on a woven mat.
“Please sit." He gestured to another mat before him.
“Thanks-." Dan quickly sat down only for the wolf to close his eyes. The human watched with confusion as the elder took several deep breaths.
'Is he smelling me?'
“My name is Half Moon." The elder male opened his eyes and introduced himself.
“I'm Dan. Thank you for meeting with me."
“You do smell similar to us, and I see that you have some fur like we do." He noticed Dan's thick patch of fur. “I know you weren't born with either."
“That's correct." Dan nodded. “I was bitten by a wolf named Wosu."
“That name is unfamiliar to us in this village." The wolf rubbed the top of his nose. “Tell me what happened."
“She spoke with me before biting my arm, and then disappearing."
“Where on your arm?"
“It's two black dots right here-." Dan's voice cut off as he showed his forearm only to discover the small markings had changed since the morning. Each black dot now resembled a wolf's fang in shape.
“I swear I'd didn't look like this when I woke up!" He showed the elder his arm. Half Moon carefully looked over both marks before reaching over and grabbing a small tied up leather pouch. He loosened the string and poured out a very fine white powder onto the markings. Dan nervously watched as the wolf's hand closed tightly around his arm, pressing the powder to his skin. A moment passed before Half Moon released his strong grip. Some of the powder fell off, but the human stared at his arm. The powder that had been in contact with the black fang marking was now much darker in color, as if it had been burned to a crisp. Half Moon brushed it off his skin.
“No loving wolf can do this. You're dealing with a powerful spirit."
“A spirit?" He looked at the wolf with suspicion. “Like a magical ghost?" Dan wanted to laugh, but the wolf's seriousness was sobering. It didn't sound so far fetched now that he had experienced its effects.
“No, not a ghost. She is a forest spirit, able to pass from our world to another."
“Another world?"
“Yes, a world that is unlike our own." He told him. Dan was unsure what to believe. The elder sounded knowledgeable, but the human wasn't sure if he truly understood what he was being told either.
“Why did she bite me? Why would she bite Eva?"
“I don't know." Half Moon was unsure.
“That doesn't make any sense." Dan felt frustrated. “Why would a spirit, or whatever she is, bite us? We're just here to use the research facility."
“Spirits are not like us." Half Moon looked at the human with a keen eye. “She may have been a normal wolf once many ages ago. It's impossible to tell without communicating with her. No matter what her origin is, she has given you this mark of the fang." He pointed a claw at Dan's arm.
“What exactly is going to happen to me?"
“You will change."
“What do you mean? I've already changed." He pointed out only for the old wolf to shake his head.
“Not all changes can be seen by eyes." His answer only confused the human even more. “It may appear… subtle at first." He suggested. “Your sight, your sense of smell, or your hearing. Maybe all three." It suddenly dawned on him what the old wolf was telling him. The urges to not cover himself, the way his nose could smell differently, and even his hearing were no longer human. He had changed on the inside as much as the outside!
“So this bite mark can't be undone?" He looked at the elder wolf with fearful eyes.
“No." He shook his head. “That is permanent. Although, where she bit you matters. Your arm isn't close to the center of your body." He informed the human. Dan looked at his fanged markings wishing he knew what could happen.
“Eva was bitten on her shoulder." He thought about his colleague.
“I believe she will have a more significant reaction soon."
“What do you mean?"
“It's difficult to guess, but she may change more than you have."
“She already has thick fur growth covering her groin like me." Dan pointed out. “Will she grow more fur?"
“Maybe." Half Moon didn't sound certain. “I'm afraid I have nothing else to tell you that will help." He stood up and gestured for the human to follow. Walking back to the edge of the village, Eva was already waiting for him alongside the elder female wolf and a few other curious canines.
“You will be escorted to the end of the human path." The female elder spoke. “Have a safe walk through the forest."
“Thank you." Eva and Dan said before being led by an athletic white furred female wolf. There were no formalities or lingering questions by the rest of the wolves.
'They aren't chatty like people.' Dan thought to himself, but it didn't matter as they left the village together. The wolves' mannerisms didn't concern him. They likely viewed humans as outsiders anyway. The white wolf took them up the creek and to the sign at the end of the trail before bidding them farewell.
“What did they tell you?" Dan eagerly asked as soon as the wolf disappeared into the forest.
“The elder mentioned the female wolf was a spirit of some kind, and that her bite caused us both to grow fur even though we kind of figured that out."
“That's what the male elder told me. The spirit thing, or whatever Wosu is, was kind of odd though."
“I don't have any other way of explaining what happened to us." She practically spoke.
“Heh. That's a fair point." He found it funny.
“The elder female talked about the phases of the moon, fertility, and the forest in general."
“Fertility? That's odd to talk about to a stranger."
“Men don't think about this, but women have a monthly cycle you may have heard of." She gave him a knowing look.
“Oh. Right." Dan gave a slow nod.
“Anyway, they seemed concerned about where my bite mark was located."
“The elder with me mentioned that the position of the bit mark matters."
“What does that mean?" Eva looked at him with concern.
“He wasn't sure." Dan admitted. “Did anything else happen to you, besides the thick fur growth?"
“No."
“Me either." He felt somewhat satisfied with that answer.
'Maybe there's nothing more to it.' He wondered. Worrying felt out of place and he didn't want Eva to stress over it either. The mystery would remain unsolved, but he felt optimistic about everything. Wearing more concealing clothes in public wasn't a big deal to him, and he had a few weeks to adjust to any minor changes that arose with Eva. It looked like all of the surprises were over.
For the time being, they were walking through the forest, something he always liked. The warm summer air, chattering birds, and noisy insects was a far more natural environment to him than an office or urban landscape. Dan couldn't help but enjoy how his manhood freely swayed as he walked, gently bouncing off his thighs with each step. Eva looked away when he glanced over at her.
“What? Like something?" He teased. Dan had caught her staring more than once, and it excited him. After all, he had taken a glance or two at her own furry nether region. The dark fur contrasted so nicely against her fair skin. He couldn't help but stare given the opportunity.
“I like it." Her voice was a little giddy.
“I like that you look too." He bashfully admitted and felt his flaccid manhood subtly twitch in response.
“It's hard not to." She bashfully admitted with a grin.
“I know how you feel." Dan said as he looked down at her furry bush again.
“I can't believe we're talking like this." She admitted with a light blush.
“Yeah I never would've said anything like this before, but… it feels natural." He admitted as they walked.
'It's like the other night.' Dan realized and wondered how much the bite had lowered their inhibitions. He looked at his arm, but the fang markings had remained the same. They continued a little further until Eva started lagging behind some.
“Let's take a break." She leaned back onto a tree with a quiet huff. The expression across her face wasn't joyful in the slightest.
“Tired already?" He half grinned, not minding if the hike was too much to handle in one go.
“No." She frowned a little.
“What's wrong?"
“It just… aches? I don't know. It happened when we left this morning, but it's worse now." The discomfort was evident in her voice.
“Where? Is it your bite mark?"
“No. Here…" She almost whined and kept rubbing her furry womanhood.
“Mind if I look?" He stepped closer.
“Please." There was a not so subtle urgency in her voice as she readily parted her legs and retracted her hand. Kneeling down before her, Dan's heart started to race as he had a very intimate view of the woman's new wolffish bush. Despite such a provocative position, the thick fur covered her sex entirely from view. The dark fur was wild and untamed, refusing to be covered and yet desiring to be seen by him. She looked like a wolf, and it was downright attractive to him.
'Hmmm.' He breathed with concentration. There was just a subtle hint in the warm air, but his nose could detect something special about her. The wild scent was an intoxicating aroma to his sensitive nose, and he loved it. His face neared closer and closer, until the dark fur touched his nose, tempting him even more. Eva watched silently from above but didn't stop him. He pushed closer and felt the natural warmth of her body, radiating from within. His nose barely touched delicate sensitive skin, where the scent was strongest. His lips parted, and the heat of his breath alone made her stifle a moan.
“Oh, please Dan." Eva beckoned and planted both hands on the tree behind her. Without hesitation he kissed her hidden folds and ran his tongue over the entire line of her sex. Eva sharply drew in a breath only to softly moan as he did it again. Dan buried his face into her thick furry bush and pressed his lips to her own. Caressing his cheeks and chin with a soft yet wild warmth while he pleasured her so keenly. He lapped steadfastly, dipping between her wet folds. Soft sounds of wet smacks and licks were barely audible as Eva struggled to keep her hips still.
“Oohh! Oh! Yess!" She cooed and groaned in pleasured agony. He enjoyed her taste and desired more. The new wild scent surrounded his senses and compelled him to keep pleasuring her, but so did her moans. Heart racing, he could feel his own manhood growing with clear arousal down below. Dan knew he was satisfying that deep wild desire that they both felt.
“Ooohohhh, Dan!" Dan heard her moan with wild abandon, and he felt his erect length twitch stiffly in response. Her crescendo was fast approaching, and then a near shriek pierced the air that could've been mistaken for a full blown howl. He felt Eva's body tremble and shudder, but he prevented her hips from writhing too much. The fresh wetness on his tongue was more than enough to know she had climaxed in the most satisfying way possible.
'She's such a delight to taste.' His quick pace slowed down to a lazy lick, just softly teasing those lovely full labia of hers, nurturing that subtle buzz of pleasure she was experiencing. In those blissful moments he could hear the beautiful woman breathe deeply, chest rising and falling with a labor of blooming love. However, a subtle raking and crackling sound caught Dan's attention. He retracted his head from her lovely bush only to blink in disbelief as bark flaked off the tree behind her.
“Wha-?" Looking at Eva's hands planted on the trunk, durable black claws emerged from her fingertips, replacing delicate nails. They dug into the rough surface with ease as fur grew along her fingers and backs of her hands.
“Eva?" Dan eased back only to stumble onto the grass. It wasn't only her hands. The woman's face, ears, and legs… everything! Her entire body was changing! He watched in complete terror as his colleague transformed before his very eyes. Fur grew all over her body; her face grew a muzzle with sharp teeth; her ears became tall and pointed; a tail emerged from behind; her legs became digitigrade; and muscles strengthened considerably. Eva managed to yank the shirt and bra from her body before either could rip into pieces as she outgrew them both. And then everything stopped.
Standing before the human was no longer the Eva he recognized. Instead of a human woman, he was staring at a werewolf covered entirely in obsidian black fur. Hunched over slightly, she breathed slowly with audible breaths, but didn't move.
“E-Ev-v-Eva?" Dan's teeth chattered once it all stopped. His blood ran cold when her canine eyes locked onto him. No longer emerald green, her eyes now possessed a radiant and piercing gold color that petrified him.
“I've changed." Her voice had changed to a wolffish tone as she looked over her new body. Dan took her moment of distraction and ran to hide behind a tree. Her pointed ear turned at the sudden noise.
“I can smell you…" Her new head turned and looked directly at the tree he was hiding behind. Dan's eyes widened as he stood perfectly still. His heart thundered within his chest as he heard each step she took towards him. Then there was silence. Her scent was very strong though.
'She's right behind me.' He knew. Dan blinked his eyes, and in an instantaneous blur she darted around the tree to fully face. The human nearly jumped, but Eva pinned him to the tree by grasping the trunk behind him. The sound of claws raking over the bark and digging in echoed into the human's ears. She craned her neck to look at him, nose to nose. The look in her deep golden eyes seemed to stare right through his soul. Dan opened his mouth, but he couldn't make a sound.
“Are you scared of me?" She asked. Unable to speak, he simply nodded. The wolf rolled her eyes in response.
“Then touch me and see if I bite." She challenged. The wolffish sound of her voice didn't help, but it made sense. Dan hesitated before trusting Eva. She had every opportunity to harm him, if that's what she truly wanted. He reached out and touched her. Eva's fully fledged fur coat was very soft and even warm as his hands disappeared into the fluff.
“Wow." He barely managed to say.
“I guess you brought this out of me, so we're going to enjoy it together."
“E-Eva, wait-!"
“You can't run after you riled me up like that." She growled with a toothy grin that excited him as much as it scared him. The werewolf lowered to a crouch without breaking eye contact. Even though he was terrified, his cock eagerly rose from the wolf's breath wafting over his naked groin. Part of him was very much attracted to her. The thought of her long canine tongue lazily lapping along his aching manhood caused him to twitch, releasing a little droplet of pre.
“You smell irresistible, Dan." She inhaled deeply only to blow hot air over his skin and fur. The human shuddered only to feel a new sensation. Eva's large wolffish hands reached up and touched him. They were covered in soft fur and padded with leathery skin on her palms and fingertips. Each digit possessed claws now too, but they were also much stronger. He shuddered as her fingertips lightly furrowed into his fur. He could feel her physical prowess from such a gentle touch.
“It's only fair that I return the favor, right?" She chuckled and let her tongue dart out to lick her nose. Dan nearly moaned at the brief sight of the new wolf's pink tongue flickering into view. His erect length twitched stiffly, aching for its caress. He didn't have to wait as her muzzle parted. Her smooth and warm tongue darted out and washed over him. He groaned and arched his back as his length twitched rigidly. The pleasure was almost too much for his body to handle.
“Don't stop!" He moaned as her tongue bathed him from base to tip. The arousal was so strong that his hips rolled and tried humping the air only for her hands to keep his relatively still. He quickly came with a heated grunt, unloading his pent of arousal. His face felt flushed as she cleaned him. But even with the final droplet, he was still very much aroused, and throbbing hard in front of her snout.
“Still not satisfied?" She mused as his chest rose and fell with labored breaths.
“Ungh." He managed to say.
“Heh. I won't stop until you are." Eva sweetly teased and used a finger to gently pull down on his throbbing erection before letting it sprig back up. Through the heavy haze of pleasure and arousal, he remembered what the wolf spirit had told him the other night.
“Then let me mate with you." He quickly countered. Dan knew that if she made him climax again from her tongue alone, then he wouldn't be able to satisfy the pleasure still residing within her. Eva's ears perked up at the suggestion.
“Oh? Then show me." She challenged with a wide toothy grin.
A quiet silence greeted Dan as he woke up from a deep sleep. He found himself staring up at a dimly lit ceiling. Sunrise had begun, but it still felt too early to get up. The comfort of sleeping in a bed felt wonderful after a very passionate night in the forest with Eva. He sensed a lingering soreness in his back and hips; but that was entirely understandable. The thought of being slouched over her back, utterly exhausted yet completely satisfied was a little more than a pleasant dream. The soft sound of breathing and wild feminine scent was reassuring as Eva still slept beside him. A subtle grin formed along his lips once he noticed a hand was resting on her thick groin fur.
'It's barely a quarter moon, but if I keep mating with her each night, she may get pregnant on the next full moon.' He wasn't sure how he even knew that, but it made his manhood stir ever so slightly. Some of the new things he knew and could do scared him, but at the same time those abilities felt natural. He wasn't sure if the wolf bite was a curse or a blessing, perhaps both.
They had very few answers, but Dan didn't view their plight as shameful or worrisome. They now had to live with the consequences of their changes and manage their urges; but there was time to adjust at the facility. After all, they were there to conduct research. However, that didn't mean they had to wear clothes while doing so, or forego having a little fun. So why not include themselves in a personal side project?
He slowly closed his eyes and relished the early morning drowsiness with Eva, still lazily ruffling his hand through her thick patch of fur. Sleep started to creep back to his thoughts, promising another dream before starting the day. He barely heard the cawing of a crow followed by a faint howl from outside. It came from deep within the forest.
'Wosu…'
