Tyler was just winding down and about to go to bed just like any other day. Window open and the news on, it looks like a chemical spill happened not too far from him. Probably nothing will happen though...
Pretty fun commission piece for anubiiswerewolf on FA, very slow growth over days leading to macro size.

Cozied up in bed, wearing just a tanktop and briefs while half under the covers, Tyler was already winding down for the day in his apartment. In the middle of the big city and on the tenth floor, the slight noises of the city from outside were streaming in through the open window just there to let in a bit of the nice, cool air before he would shut it for the night. Back propped up on some pillows with the TV remote in his hand, the evening news was turned on as the tiger was just waiting for that feeling of sleep to pull him a bit more toward being ready to rest for the night. Not being anything special, the five foot tiger had some messy brown hair on the top of his head and a rather slender build. While he wasn’t the skinniest person you might see, it wasn’t like he did much to keep up his strength or anything. Working a desk job and not having a lot of time to work out or anything will do that to a person. When he wasn’t focusing on work, Tyler was usually just trying to relax or decompress after a long day, usually with some games or watching movies and the like. Listening to the TV, he was a bit worried as he noticed them talking about something that actually wasn’t too far away from his apartment, slightly turning up the volume a bit more just to hear what it was about more clearly as the anchorman went on with various shots of the scene showing. “There was a fault at a local chemical depot earlier today close to downtown. The manager said that when they were operating some heavy machinery to move several barrels of various chemicals awaiting shipment, there was a sudden surge in power that caused the conveyor belt to move faster than intended. Several barrels were knocked over, instantly causing an alarm and evacuation of the premises.” “That’s not far from work I think…” Speaking to himself, Tyler slightly leaned in closer as he did recognize some of the spots that were being shown. While he had never been to that exact spot, he did notice some of the streets and turns, having a general idea of where it was. Of course, the first thing that came into his head is if it would be safe to go to work tomorrow, hearing the words of the anchorman quickly rule out the worry of danger. “Everything was contained quickly, with tents already put up around the site as cleanup is well underway. Nothing was spilled outside of contained areas. Only the streets directly outside the plant and the few buildings nearby will be closed as the cleanup is concluded within the next few days. Authorities say there is no danger, and no one should be alarmed, to simply take a detour or contact their employer if working in the immediate vicinity for information on closings. For the weather, we’ll turn to…” Already moving off the topic made Tyler feel a bit better about it, already putting it out of his mind as it wasn’t on his path to work or close enough to cause a problem. Leaning back up against the backboard and the pillows, he kept his eyes on the TV for the moment while he relaxed, wanting to see if the weather would stay nice for the rest of the week. Hearing a slight buzzing in his left ear, he slightly swatted at the air a moment before it disappeared. Not getting up yet, he sat for a moment before he could feel something on his neck, quickly moving his hand to give it a smack and nailing the mosquito that had landed there. That’s what he got for leaving the window open for so long, already moving to get up from the bed and close the window. As he pulled his hand away from his neck, he looked at it a bit closer, a bit confused at seeing a slightly glowing green color on his hand. “Just what kind of mosquito was that…?” Getting to the window and tugging it closed, he stepped over toward the bathroom before he simply washed off his hand, not thinking much of it. He did crane his neck a bit and looked in the mirror, not really able to see the slight welt on the back of his neck even if he did feel it. The best course of action would just be to ignore the spot though and not itch it, letting out a long yawn as already he was feeling that sleep was catching on. Walking back to the bed and turning the TV off, he was quick to get back under the covers again and pull his pillows down, getting tucked in under the blanket all nice and cozy as he slowly shut his eyes. Tomorrow would be a pretty long day at work, and he wasn’t looking forward to it, but he needed his sleep if he was going to make it through. Even with the slightly throbbing sensation at the back of his neck, he quickly found peaceful sleep and drifted off. _ Opening his eyes slowly to the light streaming in from outside, Tyler slowly let out a loud yawn as he sat up in bed, pushing the covers off of himself. His hand instantly went to the back of his neck, feeling a bit strange around where that mosquito had bit him but not really paying attention to it as he slowly got up out of bed. Getting the slippers on his feet, he was slowly shuffling toward the bathroom like a zombie, half-awake and heading to get ready for work after noticing it was just before his alarm would go off. Getting into the bathroom, his eyes were still a bit blurry, looking in the mirror a moment before moving to turn on the water in the shower so it would start getting warm. Almost on auto-pilot and still waking up, he grabbed his toothbrush and already started getting his teeth scrubbed with toothpaste. It was only a few moments before he was in and out of the shower, drying off his fur with the towel around his waist getting his clothes. As he opened up the drawer and started to pull some things out, he slowly pulled his underwear on before the slacks he had grabbed. Undershirt and button up shirt next, he had already walked himself to the kitchen while getting the shirt done up and tucked in. Just a bowl of cereal was easy to do, though for some reason he couldn’t peg it didn’t feel quite as satisfying. It was the same amount he always poured, but he felt a little bit more hungry… Either way, sticking his keys in his pocket and already reaching for his bag had him out the door, even if he was wondering why his hand got a bit stuck in his pocket as he tried to pull it free. Maybe his pants had shrunk in the wash somehow. Not really putting attention either way, he was quick to shut and lock the door of his apartment, get down to his car and start the boring drive into work. _ Finishing up the last email he had to send out for the day, Tyler couldn’t help but feel a bit awkward in his work chair. It had been a grueling day to say the least, having spent most of the afternoon and then some at work making sure things got finished in time. But at least it would all come back to him in his pay, or at least that is what he told himself. Though, he couldn’t help but feel like something was a bit… off. For example, he didn’t feel like his chair was quite the same… Maybe someone had just pulled a prank and swapped his chair or something. It wasn’t something that was worrying, but it was everything else that had started to add up. Maybe it was that new detergent he used, but it sort of felt like his pants and his shirt were just a bit tighter as well… None of it really added up, but it didn’t need to. The work day was over as he shut down his computer and grabbed his bag to head out of the office. Giving a wave toward the receptionist on his way out, he was promptly in the elevator and down to the parking floor, almost up to his car when he put his hand in his pocket again to grab at his keys. This time it was much harder to get those fingers in there, his entire palm no longer really fitting in as he had to use the ends of his digits to fish out the keys. It felt a bit strange, and it wasn’t the first time today he felt like things were just a bit out of normalcy… Unlocking his car, he put his bag in the passenger seat before he got seated in the car, instantly feeling like something was wrong again. It was his chair, definitely too close to the steering wheel… He took a moment to look around in his car, but there weren't any signs that anyone else had been there. He hadn’t been in the car since he got to work that morning, and it wasn’t a problem earlier… Shaking his head a bit, he just adjusted the seat back a bit before he started up the car and was heading out. A slight adjustment of the rear view mirror to help him see as he backed up, he was already on the drive home, monotonous as usual with the radio playing this song and that song. The sun was setting, already seemingly gone over the horizon by the time he pulled up in the parking lot for his apartment building and took the key out of the ignition. Bag in hand, he slowly walked up the steps toward the apartment door, making sure to use his key to collect his mail in the entryway before he walked straight toward the elevator. His eyes were on his mail as he reached to hit the number of his floor, not really looking as he was sure he just had to do it the same as always. By the time he finished looking through the mail and seeing nothing interesting, he noticed he pushed the button for the floor above his, slowly making sure to press the right floor button just in time as the doors opened and he stepped out. Right up to the door of his apartment, he unlocked it in a jiffy and was soon in with the door closed behind him. Walking straight toward his bedroom, he left his bag on his bed and moved to talk into his bathroom before he suddenly stopped as he looked up. He was frozen there for a moment, noticing that if he were to step forward, his ears would definitely brush up against the top of the door frame… Now, it wasn’t like the doorway to his bathroom was the largest one ever, slightly smaller than the rest in the apartment, but it wasn’t like his ears had ever come close to touching it before. It wasn’t until that moment that everything slightly started to add up… Having to push the seat back, his clothes feeling a bit tighter, if even more so right now… Just standing there, he looked at the door frame, just staring at it. He tried to keep his eyes on the same spot, keeping them locked for the moment before he noticed just slightly that the door frame looked like it was moving closer to him… He looked back down, looking over his body a moment and straight down at his feet, almost feeling like the floor was further away for a second. What was happening exactly…? Stepping into the bathroom with his ears gliding just barely against the top of the door frame, the tiger was quick to undo his shirt, slowly going to pull it off and lift up the undershirt underneath as he suddenly stopped a second. Did he always look like that? I mean, it was hard to see under the fur, sure. But it looked a bit more… defined… It was times like these that he wish he had a scale or something, feeling like something was definitely off and wanting a way to measure anything about himself. Grabbing a pen that was sitting on the bathroom sink, he slowly moved to step back against the wall. He didn’t have a second thought as he slowly made a line at the top of his head, trying to keep track of where it was as he looked at it. Trying to be more observant, it was then that he noticed everything seemed to be at just a slightly different angle… Maybe he was just seeing things though… Chuckling a bit to himself as he looked in the mirror, thinking maybe it was just him looking too much into things, he slowly lowered the undershirt on him and went to take off his pants, setting them aside as he slowly stepped out of the bathroom. Whatever it was could wait, and it was just the smallest of things, it was probably nothing. Trying to put it out of his mind to just relax for the rest of the evening, he was quickly on the couch in front of the TV, turning it on with a smile as he decided to find a movie to watch before heading to bed. _ The loud alarm going off rang in Tyler’s ears as his alarm went off, jolting him awake as he grumbled slightly and reached to hit the button to shut it off. He was a bit surprised he didn’t wake up earlier, feeling his feet slightly off the end of his bed as he looked to see them uncovered and hanging. Too groggy to really put two and two together, he slowly pulled the covers off his body as he walked himself toward the bathroom. Brushing this way and that with his toothbrush while looking at the mirror with blurry eyes, the tiger was making his way through his morning routine as he was actually starting to wake up. That’s when his brushing started to slow down a bit as he could have sworn his toothbrush was just a bit smaller than before. As he was starting to see a bit more clearly, he somewhat remembered last night, moving to just step up against the wall behind him and look for that mark… It was lower than where he was now, already seeing he was taller than when he went to bed. His brushing stopped at that moment, almost frozen as he was getting a better look at himself in the mirror. His tank top was definitely more form fitting, feeling less loose as he almost didn’t recognize his own body. He slowly spit out the toothpaste, washing his toothbrush clean as he started to get the shower started. Almost having to lean downward a bit more than usual, everything just seemed so strange as he had to duck his head under the shower curtain rod. There was no denying it, he was getting larger, but why? As his clothes were taken off and he got into the shower, starting to scrub the soap into his fur let him feel at his body a bit more, definitely feeling the muscle underneath his skin even though there was no way he did any sort of working out. But he couldn’t help but be happy by it, finding it a welcome surprise as he finished up his shower and dried off. Going to get his clothes, he actually reached for the pieces that fit him the worst, the ones that were just a bit looser than normal before finding that they actually fit pretty well now, if still a bit snug. He made a mental note that something was definitely going on with him, even wondering if he should be calling his doctor and setting up an appointment or something. He had never heard of sudden, quick growth spurts like this before… More distracted by the day ahead rather than the mystery that was happening, he already had a bowl of cereal poured, getting an extra little amount this time unconsciously as he noticed just how small the bowl seemed to be. When he picked up his back and moved to pit it over his shoulder, he found it didn’t actually fit anymore, too tight for him to get over and onto his back. A quick loosening of the strap and a glance at the clock, he must have been moving slower this morning than he thought. He was gonna be late for work! Putting the bowl in the sink and deciding to wash it later, he was quick to drop his keys in his pocket and get out the door as fast as he could. He didn’t put attention to his ears gliding across the door frame, or how he instinctively ducked a bit to get out of the building as he booked it toward his car. Pulling the keys from his pocket with just a single finger since he couldn’t get his hand in, he had the door unlocked in time for him to throw his bag in and get in, hearing a rather loud creak from the springs as he sat down. Adjusting the seat and the rear view mirror again with a bit of a muttering complaint, the door was shut and the car was on as he was heading toward work, feeling the very tips of his ears up against the roof of the car even as he sat in it and drove rather quickly to work. He was hoping no cops would be on the way there, and thankfully making it into the parking space at work just fine. Bag in hand and walking into the front of the office, Tyler gave his normal wave to the receptionist at the counter, but didn’t get the same reaction as he usually expected. Instead of just a wave back, she almost seemed to take a second to recognize him before then giving a wave back and even giving a comment. “Oh, Tyler. Wow, whatever you’re doing is working.” It made the tiger stop in his tracks for a moment, suddenly looking toward the receptionist again as he stood there for a moment. “I’m not doing anything though, what do you mean?” Of course, in the back of his mind he knew what she meant, feeling the clothes tighter on his form and having noticed the changes in both his height and his musculature. He was pretty certain that no one would be able to see the muscles underneath his clothes though, nothing showing really since he was wearing a long sleeved shirt and slacks as usual. “You just look… Bigger, I guess. Taller and thicker. I dunno, it’s very different. Maybe some new shoes or clothes?” She seemed to shrug it off slightly, turning back to the computer screen as she figured Tyler would just walk away without a word while she got back to the business she was attending to. As if he needed another outside opinion to really understand what was happening, it was nice to hear that he wasn’t the only person that saw it. It made him feel less crazy, less like it was something just going on in his head since he had yet to talk to anyone about it or even have anyone mention anything. But it wasn’t time to dwell on things, his eyes drifting toward the clock and the wall and already seeing that he was getting even more late than before. “Thanks.” With a simple nod from that he was off toward his desk, trying to make sure he got there before the boss did the rounds for the day checking in on people. _ Tyler was so glad that he had an elevator to get up to his apartment. There he was, just after work, standing in the elevator feeling like his clothes were about at their limit as he could practically hear the slight straining of the threads with his ears. He had already had a close call when he had to slightly duck into the apartment building itself and the elevator, but already in that short amount of time it felt like he could wind up without a shirt and pants at any second. It had gotten worse throughout the course of the day, He noticed it a bit more during lunch especially, and much more while he finished the last half of his work day. He even stayed a bit later waiting for the rest of the office to filter out so no one saw him struggling as he got to his car or sat down inside. Surprised he didn’t hear a tip when he went to sit down or another when he got up, he was just about to make it to the safety of his apartment, just as soon as the elevator door opened and he could step out to walk the short distance. With a loud ding, it finally opened up, almost feeling like he was walking on eggshells and with wooden planks on his limbs to try and keep any slight movement from causing disaster as he moved down the hallway. Each slight movement sounded worse, almost like he could hear some slight snaps of the fabric as he got to his door, keys already in his hand and getting it open before he stepped inside as quick as he could, having to bend down slightly to fit through the door. A loud slam with the door closed, he only got a few steps in before he heard a loud pop, looking down to see the first of the buttons on his shirt had popped free and landed on the floor with a slight clatter. Just a couple of steps in as he set his bag down on the table and another went popping off, bringing at the same time relief of the pressure across his chest but also worry about how the shirt was going to look in a moment if he couldn’t take it off. Not that he would have to worry about that, as suddenly like a dam ready to burst, he suddenly watched the rest of the buttons pop down a line, tearing off the shirt as he heard the seams rip and tear along the sides as well. And the shirt wasn’t the only thing, his pants coming apart with large tears across his thighs, the seams on both the inside and outside ripping off as the button popped just like the rest along his shirt. As if it was some sort of cartoon or comedy show with a special outfit made to just fall to pieces, bit by bit all of the fabric came apart, falling off his waist and off his chest onto the floor in disastrous fashion. Not even his underwear was safe, suddenly feeling all the pressure across his body gone as they too tore apart and left him standing naked in his living room while he just looked down at himself while it happened. After a moment, he suddenly felt like he could breathe, relaxing a bit and happy to not feel the pressure even as more important things were starting to set in. If these tore like this, and this was his least fitting set of pants and shirt… What was he gonna wear? And further beyond that, was he actually still getting bigger? And when did he have time to work out to look like this? His eyes drifted down his body, seeing the bulging muscles that were across his chest and down his legs. Pecs pushed out, abs obviously on display and thick legs made it look like he had been working on his physique for a very long time and had perfected some sort of workout routine, despite having never picked up a single weight. He couldn’t help it, slowly leaving everything just tattered on the ground as he slowly walked toward his bathroom. Tyler ducked under the doorframe to get into his room, having to duck under further to get past the one to get into the bathroom, only to find that he almost couldn’t stand in it anymore. The smaller ceiling definitely made it feel more cramped, the tops of his ears folded if he were to stand up all the way as he looked down to see that marking on the wall from before. Yeah, he was way past that now… But by how much…? He slowly opened up the bottom drawer underneath the bathroom sink, the one where he kept all the tools and such to pull out a measuring tape while grabbing the same pen as before. First, he measured the line from before, from the bottom of the floor up to where it was. “There’s… No way I was… That was seven feet…?” He almost couldn’t believe it, never knowing to be that tall before and now worried about what he would find if he measured himself now. It didn’t even seem like he was that tall before, and now… Stepping up against the wall again, Tyler quickly put the pen up against where the top of his head was, not even trying to get the mark above his ears since those were on the ceiling. Pulling away from it, he quickly leaned back down and used the measuring tape to try and measure where that was from the floor, finding that he almost had to use the whole tape to find out that he was now measuring close to eleven feet tall… “Holy shit, I’m massive.” Of course his clothes burst off his body when he got in, he’s growing so quickly and so heavily that he’s already over twice his original height! His mind reeled. What could have possibly happened that triggered all of this? Nothing seemed plausible, nothing had changed at all. It wasn’t like he was taking a new medicine all of a sudden… Setting down the measuring tape, he slowly moved out of the bathroom, ducking down to get back into his bedroom before going to sit on the bed as it creaked loudly from his weight. The only thing that had changed in the last few days was… The chemical spill. There was that mosquito that he had swatted, and after it looked like it was glowing green on his hand… Not only that, but the bite had hurt slightly, as if something more had happened there… That must have been it. The mosquito must have come from the chemical spill or something and had chemicals in it that together was causing him to grow from just that one mosquito bite! But what was he supposed to do about that? And at this hour? His eyes glanced over at the alarm clock on the side of the bed, just double checking what he already knew. There was no one he could call at this hour to try and get any help, and it wasn’t like he could predict what was going to happen. For all he knew, he could wake up tomorrow and be the same size he started at, able to fit into his clothes and off to work like it was a normal day. Trying to assure himself there wasn’t anything he could do at the moment, he slowly moved the rest of himself into bed, trying to put the blanket over himself and seeing it wasn’t quite going to fit all of him unless he slightly curled up underneath it. The loud creaking of the bed frame whenever he shifted his weight was a bit worrying, but it seemed to be ok for now. Grabbing the remote and turning on the TV, he tried to find something to watch for the rest of the night while trying to keep himself calm. It wasn’t really because he was worried about what he looked like now or anything, he did enjoy the larger size and the muscles quite a lot. It was more of what might happen if he didn’t stop growing that was really putting his head through the ringer. With a TV show he had never seen before on to distract him, Tyler laid back in his bed for the evening, trying to relax and distract himself as he started to doze off after a small bit of time, finding himself off to sleep. That didn’t stop his body though, a few times turning over in the bed and anxiously trying to get the blanket to fit over his body as he was still growing through the night… - “Yeah boss, it’s me Tyler. I told you that already…” Holding his phone between just two of his fingers as he kept it up toward his ear, Tyler was surprised he had to repeat himself so much. How could his boss not realize it was him? Maybe his voice was a bit deeper now, sure, but it wasn’t like it was completely different. And he was calling in sick either way. He didn’t think it mattered much what his voice sounded like, just that he couldn’t come into work while he was so huge and didn’t have anything to wear… “Alright, alright. You just sound so different, and not like you’re sick or anything.” His boss was actually spot on, he wasn’t technically sick. Tyler felt the best he ever had at the moment, with how big and muscular he was and with so much energy. But he didn’t know how else to explain it, or how to really say anything without just being laughed at or told he was crazy and to come in anyway. “I know, but I really can’t come in today. I’m about to call my doctor and stuff just as soon as I’m off the phone with you. I promise you don’t want me in the office today. I’ll work extra sometime when this is all passed to make it up to you. Besides, everything that I needed to get done this week is already sent out, I’d just be twiddling my thumbs or helping other people anyway.” It was times like these that he was glad he tried to get everything done quickly, even if that did mean that he had nothing to do during the middle of the workday at times and ended up with extra work… “Alright, but keep me informed. I don’t want you out sick for a long time here, take care of yourself.” The click of the line being hung up on the other end was fast, not even giving Tyler a chance to respond to the last part as he slowly moved his phone away from his ear. He very carefully and very gently moved to press the button to hang up the call, sitting on the floor of his apartment living room and already feeling a bit cramped. Already he was pulling up the contact for his doctor, hitting the call button and holding the phone back up to his ear while the line rang. Even just overnight, the growth had seemed to get quicker and quicker. It was almost a struggle to move around in his apartment now, and each time he shifted his weight he could hear the creaking of the floor. Having to put himself half through a doorway and then turn a bit to get out, he was starting to get worried that by the end of the day he wouldn’t be able to get out even if he tried, so much to the point where he had moved some of the furniture around and tried to stay in the more open and larger living room. Tyler didn’t even wait for the person on the other side to say something as soon as he heard it pick up. “Yeah, I need to talk to Dr. Schneider please. It’s kind of urgent. Is he in?” Having called the doctor’s office first, not actually having the personal number for his regular general physician, Tyler was hoping that he would catch a break and not have to go calling after him. “Yes, he’s in, one moment please.” Those words brought some relief to the tiger, who slowly moved to stand up as the boards underneath his feet creaked. He could have sworn that it was easier to see past his pecs this morning than it was now, almost having to lean forward a bit to see where his feet were on the floor to make sure he wasn’t breaking anything while he waited on the phone. Glad that he didn’t have to wait very long, he heard the familiar voice of his doctor on the other line come in rather quickly. “This is Dr. Schneider.” But as he went to open his mouth, Tyler was suddenly realizing how everything he was about to say was going to sound like nonsense and complete fiction… But how else was he supposed to explain things? What was he supposed to say otherwise that would get the point across? And not giving the whole story to his doctor might just lead to things being wrong… He had to, even if he was going to sound crazy or like he was making up what was going on. “Hey doc. Listen, I know this is gonna sound crazy, but I don’t want to say something wrong or misleading… So, over the past couple of days I’ve been growing in both height and muscle mass. I haven’t been working out or doing anything differently, eating anything out of the ordinary… Nothing changed except I think a mutated mosquito bit me the other night that came from that chemical spill downtown.” As soon as he finished talking, there was just silence. The doctor wasn’t saying anything back, and in fact Tyler could have sworn he heard a noise of some kind of sigh of frustration or something. “What do you mean growing in both height and muscle mass?” Definitely not the response he was expecting, Tyler was almost excited that the doctor seemed to be taking it seriously and not just instantly laughing at him. “I’ve been putting marks on my wall to check my height… I’m normally like five feet tall, but the other night when I did the mark I was seven feet… And last night I was eleven feet… Today even more, like I can’t fit into any of my clothes and am worried it’s going to keep getting to be more and more to the point where I can’t fit in my apartment…” Trying to rein it in a bit, Tyler stopped and took a breath, trying to collect himself. “I dunno what’s going on.” There was a sigh from the other side of the phone, a creak of a chair being sat back in before any reply came through. “Is this some kind of joke or something? A prank? Did someone put you up to this?” Tyler froze in place as he heard that, the realization just setting in that he wasn’t being taken seriously at all, and quite the opposite even. “No, it’s not a joke, I’m being serious! I wouldn’t even make up something like that! You gotta believe me, I need help!” There was even a twinge of panic running through him, though when he actually thought about it after a second he wasn’t sure why. It’s not like this was all that bad, being this large and this strong… “I have really important things to take care of, and having someone waste my time with fiction is not helping anyone. Grow up!” With a rough slam, the phone was hung up. Tyler almost rolled his eyes, realizing that maybe he shouldn’t have included the part about the glowing mosquito, but unsure anyone would pay attention even if he had. Making sure the call was hung up on his end, Tyler slowly put the phone down again before looking around his apartment. There wasn’t much he could do. He couldn’t go out without clothes, he couldn’t do anything to stop things if he didn’t know what was going on… There was just not much he could do but just sit tight and hope it passed or things somehow got back to normal. Not that he would be all that upset if he didn’t, looking down over his muscular body and even running his hands over his pecs and abs a bit… Resigned to just let things happen as they happen, Tyler looked around the living room a moment more before trying to decide what to do. He had spent most of the day just moving some things around to not have to move around as much, but as the sun was starting to go down, he had to think about sleeping… Tomorrow would have its own challenges, like figuring out food considering how fast he had gone through what was in his fridge… Not wanting to sleep on the floor, the tiger got to work first grabbing the various cushions off the couches, and even trying to reach into his room and tug at his mattress to pull it out of there and sit on the floor. Within a few minutes, he had a larger, makeshift bed of sorts with all sorts of pillows and blankets laid out. Not forgetting, he grabbed a pen and moved to stand up next to the wall, going to put a mark on the very high wall just to see where he was at while he grabbed the measuring tape. He was taller than the measuring tape now by a handy amount, now finding he was nineteen feet tall… Had he really grown 8 feet in one day? It was getting faster for sure… What will happen tomorrow…? Trying not to think about that, Tyler slowly moved to lay down on the pile of pillows and throw some covers over himself, using a single finger to try and press the buttons on the remote to turn on the news or a movie or something to take his mind off things while he relaxed. It was getting harder to sleep with how preoccupied he was, but at the same time it was all exhausting. Within an hour, he was falling asleep on the large pile of pillows, the TV still on and playing while he snoozed. _ This time, it wasn’t the sound of the alarm clock going off in the other room that woke him up, or the light streaming in from the small crack in the window and curtains that stirred him. Tyler woke up to the distinct sound of creaking and a loud snap as he finally stirred from his rest. It was definitely later in the morning than usual, hearing the alarm still going off in the other room after having not moved it over to where his new makeshift bed was before falling asleep. The TV was still playing too, but nothing really bothered him quite like another loud snap that came from nearby. He had felt so cozy, his eyes slowly opening as he realized things were a lot smaller than he remembered them being. Pressed up against not just the walls, even the ceiling was up against him as he slowly woke up to the sounds of more creaking. Before he suddenly jolted awake as he realized what all that actually meant. Eyes wide open, he saw the creaking wasn’t coming from just the floor, but almost all sides of his apartment as he was quite literally getting too big for it. Even just slightly shifting his weight came with it a loud snap as he broke part of the wall heading out to the hallway. “Oh fuck!” In a panic, Tyler tried to move his hand to get himself away from the wall he just broke after his foot quite easily broke through it, just to suddenly hear a loud smash and crumble from his hand as he had pushed right though the wall towards the outside of the building. Freezing in place as soon as that happened, he looked over to see a hole in the side of the building, able to see clear out with his hand halfway outside of it. It wasn’t until then that he actually stayed still, stopping for a moment as his breathing got rather quick. Overnight, he had grown even more, now completely larger than the size of his apartment and squished into it. He could hear the loud groaning underneath him, as if the floor was going to give at any moment. Everything looked so much smaller, as if the wall that was once so large before was just about the side that he could reach out and grab it, easily pick it up even… More loud groaning, soft creaks and more came from the building around him as he had no idea what he was supposed to do. From the way it sounded, if he stayed for too much longer, he might bring the entire floor down, which could only lead to more destruction… Pushing out into the hallway was probably an even worse idea, causing more chaos on the stars and to other people in the apartment… Only one thing seemed to be plausible enough. He would need to break the windows and the wall a bit more outside and see if he could climb down onto the ground below… There was no going around it now, even without any clothes he’d have to just get down to the street below and see if someone could find him help. Surely some sort of emergency service was already called anyway with the commotion he heard outside from having pushed a chunk of wall down onto the street… Deciding what seemed to be the lesser of any evil in this case, he slowly moved his hands a bit more, going to try and cup and grab at the wall while slowly pulling it along. It was actually quite easy, barely any effort required as he saw just how large his bulging arm was while he tore away the wall. He made sure the rubble was landing inside instead of falling out, and only pulled enough until he was sure he could fit himself out through the side. Well, hopefully with how thick his pecs were… With the wall mostly and messily removed, the hard part was trying to get himself out of that room without breaking anything else… Considering the options though, Tyler decided to put his hands out of it a bit, grabbing upwards and crushing some more of the building on the outside before starting to pull himself through slowly. Getting his head out was easy, but as he was moving he heard more loud crumbling and crackling as he quickly realized the space wasn’t large enough for his pecs. Though, not having much of a way around it and not seeing anything else to do, he just pulled himself through even if it meant breaking more of the wall. Coming out head first probably wasn’t the best idea, but it would have to do. Soon having himself halfway out of the building, he could already hear some noises and yelling from below up at him, people scared and wondering what was going on that there was a huge, buff and naked tiger pulling himself out of the side of a building. While all the commotion was giving him a good bit of anxiety, he had to move quickly, as he could hear the floor underneath his lower half still creaking and even some slight snapping of it starting to break. With a few more careful movements, Tyler was able to finally pull away from the building proper, suddenly feeling gravity as he actually slid out of the building rather easily. What he hadn’t planned for is what to do after that, now looking toward the ground and finding that the distance to the ground wasn’t nearly as large as he expected. A bit more maneuvering and he was soon dropping down onto the ground, a loud, ground-shaking thud ringing out as he noticed some of the pavement and sidewalk under him crack as he landed on the ground on his side. “Uh, whoops.” Not meaning to cause so much destruction, he was soon moving to stand straight up, already seeing a lot of people gathering around and taking pictures and video with their phones. Unable to help but blush a bit, the tiger did try and use his hands to cover up his crotch a bit sheepishly at how he was completely naked. But the embarrassment passed fairly quickly as he heard several police vehicles coming around the corner, and even seeing a few officers stepping up closer to him as he leaned down slightly. “Listen, I’m not trying to cause any trouble. I got bit by a mosquito from that chemical spill or something and I’m growing huge uncontrollably… I really need some help…” As soon as he finished talking, it seemed like only half of those standing around understood what he said, wondering if his size had caused things to be different as far as his voice or how quickly he was talking… Hearing a bunch of talking from the people around him and the officers calling to the crowd to disperse, more vehicles were already starting to arrive. Everything from firetrucks to ambulances were arriving as if something terrible was happening, making a pit in Tyler’s stomach from seeing all the commotion he was inadvertently causing. On both sides of the street, it seemed like roadblocks were being set up, everything moving so quickly before someone finally seemed to be looking at him and approaching him. “Hey, I’m officer Hardy. Sit tight, we’ll have a medical team come out to help and get to the bottom of this, try and figure out what to do. We are just gonna move people out of the way and close things off in case the building comes down and so no one gets hurt.” Without another word or another look, the police officer was already turning around, talking into his radio on his shoulder and starting to direct other things. There were still plenty of people around, some gathering outside the roadblocks and even seeing some news crews arriving. Not knowing what else to do, Tyler slowly moved to sit down gently on the ground, leaning forward slightly as he just waited for the moment. But even in those moments, he could feel himself growing, the ground slowly getting farther away and the concrete slightly moving underneath him… _ It took a while more, Tyler just sitting there through most of the day as already he could tell how much larger he was than when he had climbed out of the building. A team had already gone into the apartments, trying to move people out while several others in hazmat suits went in and tried to close the wall he tore to get out with plastic to contain anything inside. A few different times, a couple of those same investigators had approached him, holding up various devices and taking readings as he just sat there wordlessly. No one seemed to be updating him or telling him to do anything differently, so he just tried to pass the time without causing problems. Being nearly sundown, someone had finally stepped closer, an older looking canine with grey fur in a labcoat. Tyler had to lean down a bit closer to hear what he was saying at first, finding that he was a bit far away. “... name is Dr. Rothschild. We’ve been taking readings from your apartment and around you all day, and haven’t really found anything. Though, we have visually seen and cataloged your growth, at now almost a rate of an inch every five minutes. We can only guess it has been getting exponentially worse… I need to collect a blood sample, if you can help me with that.” He seemed to be rather pleasant, slowly holding out what looked like a very large syringe in his hand that was absolutely tiny compared to Tyler. “Sure, anything if it can help.” Slowly reaching out with his hand, the tiger just carefully held out his fingers a bit toward where the syringe was, trying not to move much. As he did, he watched the doctor slowly move that large needle toward the end of his finger, feeling just the smallest little prick that almost reminded him of how it felt when that mosquito bit him as a small amount of his blood was taken. Well, a small amount to him. After it was taken, the scientist seemed to wave a bit and nod as he spoke. “Ok, I’m going to take a look at this and be back to you in just a moment. You’ve been sitting all day, maybe get up and stretch a bit? Just watch your feet, obviously.” With almost a chuckle as he said that, the doctor slowly turned to walk away with the syringe in hand while heading toward a small tent that had been set up, already full of a bunch of medical equipment. With a few slight nods, Tyler was happy he was told to relax a little bit at least, slowly going to get up to his feet. Just putting some pressure on the ground with his hands to get up had caused it to crack a bit, making him feel a bit guilty as he got up to his feet and stretched out his arms some. His muscles were getting even more bulky, looking close to the state of being a body builder or more in such a short time period. Running his hands over his arm and chest a bit, the tiger even did a few flexes as he admired himself some, smiling at the musculature flexing underneath as he stretched out a bit. The sun was already going down, and it was quite boring with nothing to do outside waiting for everything to happen. He almost wanted to see if he could ask them to set up a TV or something so he could watch, or maybe get a blanket somehow… Trying not to be a bother though, he just looked out across parts of the city, noticing just how small everything felt now. There was a part of him that was happy to see that, getting used to everything being so much smaller and seemingly that much more fragile by the second. The feeling of flexing his muscles was intoxicating, the raw power that came with it as he looked over his body more. The few minutes passed that it seemed to have taken, Tyler saw that same scientist slowly approaching with a rather dismayed look. Again, he had to slowly lean down and even get down on a knee to get close enough to hear what was being said. “We took a look at your blood, and while we found a few traces in it we have no idea why it’s causing the growth… We don’t currently know how to stop it… We’re gonna keep looking, but for now I asked them to bring some tarps or something to try and make a blanket. I’m going to urge you to try and rest, but I don’t know how the growth will go overnight. Please just try and be careful, because it’s likely to get harder not to break things…” Tyler wasn’t sure how to take those words, but for some reason it didn’t seem to bother him all that much. On the contrary, getting larger didn’t seem so bad to him right now, just giving a slight nod but leaning down a bit closer. “Is there a way you guys could set up a TV for me or something? It doesn’t have to be big, I’d just like something to do to help sleep.” He let out a slight chuckle at that, his mood rather improving quickly as he looked down at the tiny canine and saw the surprise on his face and the small nod he gave. “We’ll see what we can do.” With that, the scientist slowly walked away again while gesturing someone over to talk to him, seeming to get things moving as Tyler stood back up for now. Even from this morning, he felt like he was much taller than before. Everything had been getting progressively smaller throughout the day, and it seemed like it was almost speeding up just from his eyes alone. After a few moments, another trunk arrived as several people seemed to move a pretty large TV out onto the street, a few tents being set up so it could be underneath something in case of rain while it was plugged in and turned on. With a wide smile, the tiger slowly moved to sit down, finding just how small the street seemed to be rather confining now as he tried to keep himself within the bounds of it. He leaned down a bit closer to one of the scientists next to it holding the remote, just asking him to change the channel since there is no way he could handle such a small remote. Shortly after, a few more people pulled out what looked like a rather massive plush blanket. Tyler was expecting more of just like a tarp or something uncomfortable, so when he saw it he couldn’t help but flick his tail a bit in excitement as he reached out for it. Little did he know before hearing the slight crash behind him that his tail had knocked over one of the tables, sending it clattering to the ground while some slight yells behind him were the only thing that made him aware. “Sorry!” With the blanket grabbed and trying to be more careful with how he moved, he soon had it wrapped around himself and lounged slightly along the street. The TV was pretty small for him, but it was enough as he was able to see what was on the screen. He had his head pretty close to it to hear, but it was better than nothing… Cold air setting in, not even the sounds of the commotion around him really did much to push back the tiredness from settling in over him. Within an hour with the TV still on, he had fallen asleep, sprawled out over the street and the blanket over him as everyone worked around him to find out how to stop the growth from continuing. _ Slowly waking up to just the sound of wind in his ears, Tyler couldn’t help but let out a big yawn and stretch out a bit more while he felt like he was still on the ground from last night. Just a slight twitch from his ears as he could have sworn he heard some sirens or something very very faintly, he groggily noticed that the blanket that was on him didn’t seem to be anywhere. He slowly moved to lean up, looking over his buff body again with a smile as he realized it was probably better not to cover that up. Even as he sat up more, he slowly moved to put his hands on his bulging thighs, rubbing over the muscles there as he started to look out over where he was. What he saw was the city, not even surprised that it was as small as it was now. He was easily towering over it even when sitting down, looking down to notice that he had actually been laying on part of it in his sleep. With a soft yawn, he slowly moved to stand up, though still trying to be careful and just step where his body had already been as he stood up tall. Stretching a bit more, he was absolutely massive, and the feeling of his muscles flexing with every movement just filled him with this intoxicating feeling of power. A few more flexes of those arms and some rubs over the bulging muscles on his shoulders and biceps, Tyler looked back down toward the city with a bit of a smile. All of the problems seemed so far away now, everything so tiny compared to him like he didn’t need to worry about it anymore. Anything that might cause him a problem could be just as easily smashed or squashed by his foot, just like he had inadvertently done during his sleep. Just picking up his foot and setting it back down, he imagined the loud thud and shaking from his movements and who might be looking up at him right now. It was just a bunch of tiny specks on the ground, all the buildings looking more like small toys than actual buildings as the clouds were actually not out of reach. He felt like he could have grabbed them out of the sky or pushed them around as he looked up a bit. The city sprawling before him, he was eager to move around, but didn’t want to hurt anyone if he could help it. Not too far from his view was the edge of the city though, seeing a rather large patch of grass or plants that was probably a farm. Squaring up a bit first, he took a large leap over the city, watching it pass underneath him before he landed right on target with a loud crash, seeing the ground crumble around his feet and seeing a lot of the trees and buildings sway a bit with his movement. Moving to crouch down again, he just eyed the city a bit more, smiling at it some and looking over trying to spot different things he knew. But all of it was just too small to care. Looking over the landscape, he could see the lay of the land rather easily. Not only that, but he knew there would be a larger city not too far away, as well as plenty of room between here and there he could move around or test his strength. Maybe he could work out by picking up some mountains? There was a forest that might make good bedding… What would standing in the ocean feel like, or being near a larger city? These were all things he wanted to see, even as he could feel himself growing larger and stronger by the second. Wanting to test not only himself but the limits of his new and growing power, Tyler left the city behind, completely forgetting about trying to find help to get back to normal or going back to the way things were. Instead, he looked out over the landscape, a titan of a tiger who was continuing to grow stronger and larger by the second. There was so much more for him than that old life, and he was prepared to not only seek it out but grow stronger and stronger as fast as he could.
