Love has No Bounds
An Aura of Hallowed Nights - Ch. 2 Final
By J.C. Solis
Kiara woke suddenly from bed in a pool of sweat. She had never had such a terrible dream in her life, and it deeply bothered her. In the dream she had dreamt that her mother had died, and that her family had been thrown into turmoil because of it. It was something that she had recurring nightmares about, since her mother actually did suffer from a dangerous illness.
Kiara's mother, Luann Strideworth, was currently undergoing treatment for Breast Cancer, and it was a situation that haunted her deep even in her sleep. Deep down she knew Luann's prognosis was grim, as the breast cancer strain would be a hard-fought battle. The road to recovery would be difficult, and the only thing the young woman could do was have faith that her mother would recover soon. In hindsight, it would be no surprise as to why she'd be dreaming about Death on this day:
November 2nd, The Day of the Dead, had at last arrived, and now was a time of mourning for everyone in Daegar.
Kiara rolled out of bed in her warm pajamas, the night having been incredibly cold. It wouldn't be long before the first snowflakes would fall, and though it was not even winter the temperature would plummet even further. She was thankful to have Lance keep her warm through the night, though when she awoke she found that he was no longer in bed. He was sitting with his legs crossed on a mat that was looking out of the window, and he was basking in the warm rays of the Sun to clear his thoughts. He would do this every breaking dawn, stealthily climbing out of bed and meditating on his mat as the sun rose. Kiara would sometimes join him, but this time she was feeling rather despondent due to her dream. Lance seemed to pick up on this with his Aura powers as he called out to her.
"You alright, Kiara?" he asked, feeling her negative aura as she walked by. "I could sense that you had a rough night."
"Rough is one way to put it," she replied. She looked into her mirror and began laughing, seeing her hair as a complete mess. "I had a bad dream, and the Bad Hair Day to prove it. Great."
"Mind telling me what that dream was about?" he asked, hoping to draw out whatever it was that had haunted her.
"Not really. I'd rather not think about it too much," she said, grabbing some undergarments from the drawers for her to shower. "I'm just gonna shower for now."
"Well... just remember that it was all just a dream, and dreams don't always mean anything.” Lance said, hoping to sway the nerves of his trainer.
Kiara closed the door behind her when she entered the bathroom, turned on the water and waited for it to turn hot. Now ready, she stripped completely naked as she hoped to take a warm shower to warm up after the bitter cold of the night. Her skin was tan and pigmented, though she was still Caucasian. It was due to a combination of her genes and her affinity for working out with only her shorts and a sports bra that kept this shade of color on her skin. Her skin, ergo, was smooth and spotless as it seemed seamless and without imperfections. Though she was shorter than average, at Five-foot One-Inch tall, she was strong, her body toned and fit to match her martial knowledge. In general she was feisty and capable of kicking any man's ass no matter how much taller they were than her.
Lance, meanwhile, could hear the water running from his place on the mat. He could sense her aura all the way from where he was, and it was an aura of pleasure and tranquility. She seemed happy to be taking a warm shower, and that happiness could be felt in emanating through the air.
With this happiness, Lance began thinking more and more about Kiara and how close the two had become. He loved her, and it was a genuine feeling he had for the longest time now. But his heart, like that of anyone that loved someone, wanted to showcase that love, to brandish it to the world and show the person he cared for that love. It was something that perturbed him, as he was not one to get so emotional like this. Yet he still wanted to make his emotions clear, to come clean and tell her that he wanted to be closer to her. His more disciplined side tried to hide these emotions, fearing he would not be able to control them if they became too wild. But it was something so difficult to hold back, so difficult to maintain a steadfast grip on his now beating heart.
Why did Love have to be so conflicting?
Kiara stopped showering and stepped out to dry, and with her skin still moist she put on her undergarments. She stepped into the bedroom with only her bra and panties, and it was then that Lance turned to look at her. His cheeks burned red at the sight of her half naked, and his heart beat from the mere sight of her bare skin. He wondered why he was going wild when he had even seen her bare naked many times before, let alone when she was scantly clothed. Was this because of his emotions, or was this what it was like to have lustful want in his heart?
Kiara got dressed in her usual outfit: her black trousers, a black blouse and on top a black winter jacket. This was one of her warmer jackets, and the only clothes that were warmer were her winter coats. She put on her boots and was ready to start the day of mourning, her clothes all in mournful black so that she could start crying her eyes out.
"Nice outfit," said Lance, hoping to make small talk. "I'm glad you're dressing to be mournful today. Are we going to the cemetery once we meet your sisters?"
"My sisters?" she wondered, seeming to have forgotten that she was to meet them before they were to visit the grave of family members. "Crap, I forgot all about them... though I kinda wish I did."
"They're your kin, Kiara," replied Lance, not getting the sarcasm. "I didn't think that you'd be unwilling to meet again with Pamela, Samantha and Rebecca."
"I'm kidding. I thought you'd know by now that that was sarcasm," she chided.
Kiara had three sisters in total, with herself being the second oldest. There was oldest sister Pamela, younger sister Samantha, and finally the youngest was Rebecca, who was currently starting her Freshman year of college. The four sisters were really close, with Pamela being a second mother figure for the younger siblings. And like Kiara, all the sisters were fit martial artists, with each girl boasting a powerful fighting type Pokémon who could deal a world of hurt onto anyone – one that was given to them by their father Hank as a means of protecting his “Princesses”, as he called them.
Being the oldest and trying to find her niche in life, oldest sister Pamela left Lakeshire Town for the suburbs of Garden Gates, a large city that was mostly peaceful until most recently. It was a city of abundant flora and green, hence the 'Garden' part of its name. Recently, a crime organization from Unova known as "Neo Plasma" has been taking roots in the city and creating major problems for authorities. But unlike other crime rings, Neo Plasma tried to hide in legitimacy by working as a Nature Advocacy group. But most people knew that they had darker intentions, and many try to stay away.
"I hope Pamela came from Garden Gates already. Her town is a bit far from here. I know she's probably gonna crash the night with Sam and Becky at my parents', but I just hope the Old Man won't give her too much of a hard time and stuff."
"Master Hank just cares about her, you know. He's just so worried because Garden Gates has been undergoing violence from some those Neo Plasma criminals creating havoc over there."
"I know. And I thought it was bad enough that Team Rocket alone was creating havoc in Daegar. I just hope neither one of them come as far inside as here."
Their morning chores now complete, Kiara and Lance left their home to head for Kiara's parents’ house, where for sure her old man and three sisters would be waiting. It was a short walk that didn't require much effort, arriving at the house in twenty minutes. Kiara was rather hesitant to return back to her childhood home, however, as she wondered how her father Hank was behaving. Hank was normally a rock hard and serious man, but recently he was falling towards more drinking habits, and that worried her and her family. She knew that he must be going through a lot of worrying with her mother undergoing chemotherapy to treat her cancer, but it was no surprise given how much Hank cared for his family. And the strain, unfortunately, caused him to turn to drink.
However, if there was one thing that the brick-built, black belt fighter, former Gym Leader, and Army Veteran loved more than fighting, it was his family.
Kiara and Lance arrived at their old home a good mile away, and already they could hear noises coming from inside. It seemed that everyone was present, and so she knocked on the door. Soon she heard the shrieks of "It's Kiara! It's Kiara!" before the door at last swung open to reveal a woman who looked much like Kiara, though slightly taller, of paler skin and brunette hair.
"Kiara!" greeted the brunette with a grin. "Good to see you again, Little Sis."
"Nice to finally meet up again, eh Pam?" replied Kiara. "Long time no see. Hope Neo Plasma hasn't been giving you too much trouble."
"None at all. And even if they did, Rufus will be sure to give 'em a beating for sure," said Pamela with a laugh.
And with that, the two sisters hugged each before two more young women appeared from further down the hall. The tallest one with black hair was Samantha the second youngest, and the one dressed in a plum parka, brown hair and with the youngest looking face was Rebecca, and she was completely ecstatic to see Kiara again. The four sister had not all meet together since Samantha's Birthday party last September, and even then Rebecca barely made it because of her studies.
Lance was also glad to meet the girls, for their Pokémon were sure to appear as well. Lance remembered Pamela's Toxicroak, Rufus, who was probably excited to see his old friend since childhood. Samantha's Medicham, Diz, and Rebecca's Mienshao, Wen, were probably also really excited to see the Lucario again, and when the group went further inside did those three Pokémon appear again. Low and behold, those three were waiting for their friend to appear, and the Lucario was glad to meet the three again after so long.
"Sup, Lance buddy," said Rufus the Toxicroak, a down-to-earth Pokémon who gave a fist bump to Lance on meeting him. "It's been quite a while since I last saw you, bro."
"Good to see you again, Rufus," said Lance with a smile.
"Nice for you and Kiara to drop by, Lance," added Diz, a Zen-like Medicham partner who was hoping to meet up with his long-time friend. "Samantha's been down in the dumps with what is happening with Mama Luann."
"Yes, Mother Luann is rather weak right now," added Wen, a Mienshao who displayed impeccable manners and yet could not hide his worry for the ailing mother. "But I'm sure you and your trainer's arrival will brighten up Miss Rebecca's spirits."
The four Pokémon and their trainers went towards a place or great heartache: their mother's room, where she was currently bedridden. The four daughters saw their father, Hank, standing next to a woman who was breathing from an oxygen tank that was next to her bed. The woman was rather weak and could only get out of bed in short moments.
"Mama" Luann Strideworth was a wonderful woman who loved everyone around her, her family especially. She was a Kindergarten teacher who loved to spend time with children, teaching them how to behave and live a wonderful life. She didn't follow her husband's mantra of strict discipline, nor did she believe that by sparing the rod you'd spoil the child. However, she'd find other means to teach the children of her class some manners, through non-violent methods. In fact, Mama Luann was so effective in her teachings that teachers in higher grades and even parents thanked her whole-heartedly for helping to teacher their children some decorum. Even the most difficult problem children were no match for Mama's tenacity and devotion to her kids.
Even her own children were not spared her loving kindness, as she served as the contrary to the stark, brick and rough mentality and teachings of her husband, Hank. She served as his "better other", the voice of reason that'd keep him from being too rough with her four beautiful daughters.
Recently, Luann was diagnosed with Breast Cancer about two weeks prior. She was currently in Stage 1, but the strain of cancer she had was chronic and difficult to treat. The doctors gave her a good prognosis, meaning that she could be potentially cured of the disease within the span of a few months. But worryingly, her immune system had been weakening due to an Autoimmune disease, meaning that she'd have a tougher time fighting the illness than a healthier person would – and knowing these illnesses, they could always take a bad turn. Nonetheless, Luann was as dedicated as ever, and she hoped to be there for her children, her husband, and all of their Pokémon as well.
Luann smiled upon seeing Kiara and her sisters enter the room. It was always nice to see when her four beautiful daughters were together, and they brought nothing but joy to her heart.
"Ah, how’re y’all doing, darlings," replied Mama in a sweet southern accent. "It's been a while since I've the four of y’all together like this. I've been hoping that maybe we'd go out and have some family fun, though I know today's gonna be full of crying and weeping and sad stuff like that."
"I hoped you'd come with us, Mama," replied Kiara. "I was hoping you'd come with us to see Grandpa Clark and Grandma Patty over at Lakeview Cemetery."
"Yeah. Seeing Grandma and Gramps won't be the same without you," added Samantha.
"I hope you'll be fine even if you can't come with us, Mama," said Rebecca the youngest. "I hope that you'll be feeling better when we come back."
"Now, now, Rebecca dearie, I'll be just fine," Luann consoled. "I just hope you'll go along with your sisters and have a fun time. I'll be here with your father till it’s time for supper. He's been helping me with the fixings to make this a good meal."
"You four go ahead and have fun today," said Hank. "I'll be looking after your mother and helping her cook. You four just take it easy, and don't do anything stupid."
And with that the four sisters and their Pokémon left the two parents alone and left the house. For sure it would be a long day, and it was also a bit of a long walk all the way to the cemetery. Along the way they saw the signs of people mourning, with candles lit outside people's homes, with this being done so in honor of families' loved ones. At the entrance of the beautiful yet grim Lakeview Cemetery were various large candles and religious relics, predominantly the Axle of Arceus. It would be an interesting day because the whole graveyard was full of people who had come to mourn.
The girls and their Pokémon were greeted by the sounds of tears and crying, of mourning and lamenting, and even some music being played softly in memory of the dead. Lance hoped that Kiara would not get too emotional when they'd meet her grandparents. He knew that she was fond of them, and so he hoped she'd be able to tough it out, though he knew it would be impossible to feel heartache during times like these.
The four sisters came upon two headstones that were next to each other, the name of the deceased clearly etched into the stone. Kiara couldn't help but shed a tear from seeing her grandparents here. It was barely a year when her grandpa Clark Barkley, Mama Luann's father, passed away, and it was still six months since Grandma Patricia passed as well. The pain of seeing where her grandparents had ended up still stung her heart, but at least she knew that they were now in a better place, free from the pains that their bodies were in.
"We’re here, Grandma Patty and Grandpa Clark," said Kiara as she stared solemnly at the gravestones with her sisters. "I'm back with my sisters. I... I hope you two haven't missed too long."
Kiara shed more tears, her heart feeling like it was going to burst from the pain of seeing her grandparents. She knew there was nothing to cry over, that they were no longer in pain. But she loved them so much, and when she learned of their passing months ago the news devastated her. She still couldn't see this sight without tears, and so she backed away from everyone else and went for the embrace of Lance. She hated this feeling, the feeling of loss. She had lost both of her grandparents in such a short time, and now her mother was knocking on Death's door as well. She felt that she'd lost so many people, and now she was in danger of losing her mother.
Lance hugged Kiara, steadily holding her hand and trying his best to calm her down. This was an emotional ride for her, and he could sense through his aura powers just how hurt she was. He began thinking of ways to cheer her up, to make her happy and to help her forget about this pain. He began to remember his feeling for her and how his heart felt. He hoped that if perhaps he were to let her know what she meant to him, that this would make her pain hurt less if not go away.
The group left the cemetery and returned back to their parents’ home, where they ate dinner along with Mama Luann and Hank. Kiara was not all that hungry, however, as she felt a knot in her stomach when she left the cemetery. Mama urged her daughter to eat, joking that she'd hurt her feeling if she didn't try all the wonderful food she made. Seeing that Mama went through a major effort to cook the food, which left her drained in the process, Kiara felt obliged to eat till she was full. At least Mama knew how to make delicious food—Hank offered to grill food for them at a later day, and given that he was a grill meister, his food would turn out to be delicious.
At the end of the evening, Kiara and Lance gave their goodbyes to her parents and sisters and left. Mama Luann was sad to see them go so soon, but at least she was content to have seen Kiara eat. Along the way, Lance could feel Kiara's emotions roil over. She was a pressure cooker of emotions, barely able to cope with her feelings. Once back at home, Kiara fumbled with keys to enter the house because of how nervous she was. It wasn't like her to become as hysterical as this, but she dearly loved her family. She managed to open the door at last and the two rushed inside, with her going straight for her bedroom and jumping on, the dam in her eyes holding back tears at last breaking.
Lance knew that things were getting out of hand. He had to calm her down somehow, or else she would never get better.
"Kiara..." he said softly, sitting on the edge of the bed. "I... I know you're in a lot of pain. I know that this isn't easy. But you have to let it go."
"I... I... I can't," said Kiara. "I've lost so many people already. Who’s to say I won't lose Mama in the next few months, too?"
"I know this is painful," said Lance, "but your grandparents would want you to move on. And we don't even know if Mama Luann will still live or not. Don't accept that she's doomed already."
Kiara just looked at Lance with a despondent face. She was at a loss of words as she began to feel hurt in her heart.
"You know that your family loves you, Kiara," Lance continued on. "You grandparents loved you. Mama Luann and your father Hank love you. So do Pamela, Samantha, Rebecca, and..." He felt nervous to say these next words, but he said them. "Even me."
Kiara lifted her head up to look at her Pokémon. She listened to her Pokémon at last open up his heart and reveal what he wanted to say.
"I love you Kiara," Lance began. "I've loved you for the longest amount of time already. I think of you every single day, and I wish that we can take things further. I know that we may commit Poképhilia if we keep going like this... But I'm ready to take that risk."
Kiara laid silent as Lance laid next to her. She felt her heart beat hard as the words that left his lips resonated in her mind. She had forgotten the serious, caring, and loveable Lucario who loved her with all his heart. Her heart began to stabilize and heal, knowing the one who cared for her most was right with her. And with these words resonating deep in her heart, she decided to take the plunge.
Kiara lunged forwards and kissed Lance on the lips, her mouth making slight motions as she planted her lips onto her new love interest’s mouth. She had never cared for a man so deeply in her life, and that man just so happened to be a Pokémon. Lance was stunned by this, having not expected to be kissed, and especially so feverishly. But he accepted the kiss and didn't push her away. He hoped to steal a kiss from her eventually, and it seemed he just got what he hoped for.
He began to remember his Greninja friend, Razor, and how he got together with his trainer Saria. He wondered how Razor felt when he won the love of his trainer and how it felt to claim Saria for himself. He remembered him talking of how nervous those two were when they at last became Poképhiles and their fears of being caught, especially by a certain priest who had been making the headlines in catching Poképhiles. But Razor also said that the love he shared with Saria made the risk worth it. There was no better joy in life than the love you feel for another.
Lance felt this in his heart as he kissed his trainer. And when the two at last separated after having kissed for over a minute they looked into each other's eyes—Lance at Kiara's blue irises, and Kiara at his crimson eyes. It seemed that the two newly formed Poképhiles would get to know each other more in depth.
"You know, Lance, I had a feeling that you had these emotions for me," said Kiara. "I guess you could say that I love you too."
"Really?" He said excitedly, this time in perfect English with his voice instead of telepathy.
Kiara smiled at hearing his new voice, the “Gift of Speech” now unlocked for them.
"Yeah. I'd love to be your partner," she sealed the deal. "I'm glad that I have someone like you to keep me company and make me happy. I'll gladly be a Poképhile with you."
Lance's heart wanted to burst with emotion. He had done it; he won the love of his trainer. And there was no better time to have a romance than during the holidays. He would be sure to make Kiara a happy woman, and hopefully he'd be able to help her with her lament for Mama Luann.
His prayer to the star on Halloween Night was coming true. He would be granted his wish. And with the Day of the Dead now over, Thanksgiving was just around the corner. And so the two hoped that they would continue to build on their love all the way till then and beyond...
#
Four Weeks Later – Day Before Thanksgiving
It was now Thanksgiving Eve, and the whole of Lakeshire Town was in a festive mood. The cornucopia decorations were already out and decorating homes, and the smell of pumpkin spice wafted into the air and filled everything with the sweet smell of autumn. It was a wonderful moment to be together with family, and currently there was just simply so much bliss that even the grumpiest of curmudgeons would have their heart warmed up to the festivities.
Kiara and Lance were preparing for tomorrow as they'd join their families again for the second time since the Day of the Dead, and so they were hoping to experience another wonderful season.
But one thing that was incredible was how Kiara could understand Lance and other Pokémon immediately after the two confessed their love. Just like her friend Saria, Kiara could suddenly understand the speech of Pokémon as though they were speaking perfect English. She could hear Lucario speak to her so clearly, though this was nothing new since he often spoke to her via his aura powers. But Kiara could also hear the voices of the Pokémon around her as though she were a Pokémon herself. It was just so strange, to see the “Gift” for herself. She didn't even have sex with Lance to expect anything major to happen, but it seemed that just simply sharing a kiss and confessing their love for each other was enough to open the door to this gift.
Kiara hadn't yet told her friends or family about this. She was hoping to share this with Saria that she too had now taken the plunge, but she was fearful of over-sharing. She didn't want to reveal this to her father because she knew that he'd be incredibly upset. Hank was a staunch conservative and didn't much like Poképhiles, though he wasn't one to parade the streets and protest. He would often voice his opinions whenever he saw the news on Poképhilia, and needless to say he was not pleased with the advocacy for the cause.
But besides the danger of being caught be others, Kiara and Lance were getting especially close to each other and even had a few French Kissing sessions in the bedroom. though they not yet have committed the deed. Today, Kiara woke up from bed having had a wonderful dream of flowers and love. She went to shower first thing in the morning before heading to the kitchen to eat breakfast. The day would be serene and calm since tomorrow would be Thanksgiving Day, and there would be nothing but feasting and merriment back at the Strideworth Family home.
Today, the two had plans to meet with Kiara's sisters and their Pokémon over at the PokéPark and try their hand at some battles. It had been ages since the Pokémon of the sisters battled each other, though the one who had the worst type disadvantage was Lance. Being that he was part steel type, he was weak to other fighting type moves and vulnerable to the Fighting moves. But Lance was also the strongest out of all of them, his fighting might evident from the devastating punches and aura moves that he could throw at his opponents. There was a reason why he almost won the Kanto League.
After all, Lance was the one who beat Samson a while back in Halloween, a beast of an Aggron whose defense seemed impossible for any Pokémon to have. But even so, his Mega evolved steel armor was no match for the might that Lance possessed when he too mega evolved.
Kiara and Lance walked on over to the PokéPark, which happened to be across the street from their house. It was just a short walk, the air moderately cold as it was currently Fifty degrees Fahrenheit and prompting the thin woman to dress in a thicker leather jacket than usual. Once they stepped foot into the Park, the two saw the sisters and their Pokémon battling it out in the battle courts. Pamela and Rebecca's Pokémon were fighting, with Rufus and Wen going at it. The Toxicroak and Mienshao were both blazing fast, but it seemed that Rufus was the stronger of the two as he then sent Wen flying with a Brick Break move. Wen was knocked flat on the ground, his eyes spinning and down for the count.
"Wen!" yelled Rebecca as she rushed to her Pokémon’s aid. "Are you okay?"
Wen woke up from his daze and looked at Rebecca, nodding a yes. Wen couldn't speak human, but the look on his face showed that he felt sorry for having lost, and that he hoped that he made his trainer proud of him for at least trying his best. Rebecca’s hugging him made sure to tell him that he was still appreciated – a smile forming on his face for having done well.
It was a decisive win for Pamela, though the older sister went up to her younger kin to assess the damage her Pokémon dealt.
"Is Wen alright, Becky?" asked Pamela. She dug into her pursue and pulled out a Revive Capsule, handing it to Rebecca, who then put the medicine in her pokémon’s mouth.
"Yeah, he's fine, Pam" she replied. "That was a good battle. But I still need to train a bit more so that one day Wen can beat Rufus."
"Don't worry," said Kiara as she and Lance approached the sisters. "You'll get there, Becky. Just keep training up your Pokémon and never lose faith in them."
The youngest sister turned around to see her second oldest appear.
"Kiara!" shouted Rebecca, who was glad to see her older sister. "I'm so glad you finally came. Now you can get revenge for me and beat up Rufus."
"Sounds like you've gotten spiteful from the loss," Samantha chided.
"Well, at least Wen lasted longer than Diz did, and your Pokémon has a type advantage!" Rebecca fired back.
Wen and Diz could only look sheepish, the Mienshao and the Medicham both feeling uncomfortable with each other as their respective trainers bickered over who was the better fighter. Kiara could only chuckle as she saw her younger sisters bicker, to which she then told the two that they could resolve their differences, and see who was stronger, by having a battle. She brought out some potions and berries that she brought from home and handed them to the sisters so that they could heal their Pokémon for the next battle.
But Kiara had her sights set on Pamela and Rufus. It had been a while since she had a battle with her older sister, and she was raring to go. She knew that Rufus was crazy strong, and that he would be a force for Lance to reckon with. Though the Lucario was immune to all poison attacks, the fighting moves that the Toxicroak knew were sure to sting due to type disadvantage.
"Wanna battle, Pamela? It's been a while since Lance and Rufus had a good Pokémon bout, and Lance's has been wanting to battle."
"You're on, Kiara," Pamela accepted. "But first let me heal Rufus. He's still a bit tired from battling Wen and Diz. Do you still have any berries and potions left?"
And with that, Kiara handed her sister a few Sitrus berries, which Rufus gladly gobbled up. She then handed her sister a spray bottle of Potion, which she used on his wounds. After about a few minutes of healing, Rufus was back to full strength and ready to fight. The two sister and their Pokémon each took a side in the battle court. The rules were simple: whoever could knock out the other Pokémon without the use of healing items, power-ups and the like would win. And of course, Lance was prohibited from Mega Evolving, which would've made the fight unfair.
The two Pokémon eyed each other fiercely. As they stood on the opposite sides of the court. Lance was stronger, but Rufus was faster and more cunning. The Toxicroak, just like the Lucario, was a seasoned battler who fought tooth and nail in many Pokémon Leagues, and he even reached the Finals in the Sinnoh Pokémon League. It was an interesting battle to say the least – losing to Champion Cynthia in a decisive lose against him.
"You ready to get a whooping, Lance?" called out Rufus.
"I'm ready to knock your rear to the ground, Rufus," replied Lance.
"We'll see about that, Lance buddy."
The two Pokémon and their trainers eyes each other, waiting to see who would make the first move. The air was still and silent as the only other noise around came from the children playing in the park. Across the street, the clock on the Church of Arceus struck Eleven O’clock and gonged, and the gonging bell echoed through the air. This would be the sign that the battle was to begin.
With a fraction of a second, Lucario and Rufus rushed each other, crashing into each other's arms as their arms collided. They backed away from each other, with Lance pulling out an aura bone to use Bone Rush. He ran for Rufus again and swung the bone. Though the Toxicroak caught the bone in his arms, he could still feel the pain coming from this Super Effective move. But it seemed the poison frog had some tricks up its sleeve because he then used Revenge. Rufus lobbed a red glowing punch right back at Lance, who recoiled a bit from the incredibly powerful move.
"Wow!" said Lance as he tried to catch his breath. "That was some smarts. You hit back at me hard Rufus," said the Lucario with a smile.
"I've been practicing," replied Rufus. "I've finally gotten a good technique down."
The two Pokémon continued throwing punches and moves at each other. Though Rufus knew that his poison type moves would be ineffective against the Lucario, he at least had two fighting type moves that were sure to bring some pain onto Lance. Nonetheless, Rufus proved to be the quicker of the two as he managed to dart around Lance's attacks with relative ease, though when the Lucario used Aura Sphere there was no hope of evading it. But due to his poison typing, the Toxicroak didn't suffer a terrible amount of damage. In fact, all of Lance's fighting type moves dealt less damage than normal due to his opponents half poison typing, with only Bone Rush being the one that dealt Super Effective damage. But as Lance learned, getting close to Rufus was not a good idea for fear of getting hit by Revenge, which would hurt even more upon initially doing damage.
But after a while, it seemed that the Toxicroak was getting tired. Getting hit over and over again was wearing the Pokémon down, and he soon began panting as he showed signs of exhaustion. Lance, too, was tired, but he had been waiting for Rufus to get tired—which was exactly what he wanted.
"This has been a good fight, Kiara," said Pamela. "Lance is doing well."
"Thanks, Sis," Kiara replied. "I've been practicing a lot, but let's finish this now."
She ordered Lance to use Bone Rush one last time. Hearing this, Rufus planned to use Revenge to sneak another punch on the Lucario after he landed his hit. Lance charged forward with the aura bone in his hand, but it seemed that Lance was even more determined to win than before. He charged forward with stunning speed – catching the tired Toxicroak off guard. Though he tried his best to counter with Revenge, Rufus was smacked on the side of the head; the move being a Critical Hit. Rufus was sent flying through the air, his body unable to withstand the super hard hit. The Toxicroak hit the back fence, his eyes swirling as he was now down and out for the count.
"Rufus!" cried out Pamela as she rushed to her Pokémon. "Come on, buddy. Are you okay?"
Rufus opened his eyes and looked at his trainer. He smiled and nodded yes with the feeling that he at least tried his best to win this fight. Meanwhile, Kiara went up to hug Lance from behind, her face cheery and happy that her Pokémon won.
"Oh, Lance, we won!" she cheered. "You're the best Pokémon a girl like me could ever have."
Lance could not help but smile. His heart was jumping for joy on making his trainer proud, and he felt a bit of pride in his win.
"It's nothing, Kiara," he replied, not noticing that he was speaking to her vocally.
"How bout we go home, and I'll make you your favorite meal, hmm?"
"So long as you don't burn down the kitchen, that'll be fine," he spoke again in English, not realizing that the sisters were hearing his words.
This proved to be a mistake.
"Whoa!" said Samantha, who heard everything Lance said. "Did Lance just speak?"
"Yeah. I heard that too," added Rebecca. "That's crazy."
Kiara and Lance looked at her sisters, who were shocked to hear Kiara understand Lance and Lance speak back to her in a clear voice. The two sisters just eyed the two curiously, having never thought that they'd be able to hear a Pokémon speak as clear as day.
Kiara could only scratch her head, realizing that she had some explaining to do. But it seemed that Pamela already knew what her sister had done, crossing her arm as her elder authority took hold.
"You know, I never knew that you'd be one to commit Poképhilia, Kiara," said Pamela with an unamused, stern look.
She looked gravely at her sister, seeming to be incredibly disappointed and upset. Upon hearing Pamela's words, the younger sisters gasped at their older sister's sin. Kiara and Lance wanted to hide from the eldest sister's gaze, seeing that she didn't approve at all of what they had done. Lance especially began to feel bad, realizing that he opened his mouth too much and accidentally spilled the truth. He hoped that Pamela would just get over shaming them so that He and his trainer could escape with at least a little bit of their dignity intact.
But it seemed that the angry face was a ruse, as Pamela let out a good chuckle before she began to smile. She couldn't keep a straight face after she saw the reaction of her younger sister and was at least glad that she managed to tease her long enough to get a good laugh. At this point, Kiara and Lance were confused. They wondered if they were in trouble or not after seeing Pamela's change in mood.
"You two are so naughty, you know," said the eldest sister as she continued to laugh. "Oh, the look your faces was the best! You should've seen yourselves!"
"That was not funny!" exclaimed Kiara, who forgot her shame and became upset. "I seriously thought Lance and I were in trouble."
"Did you already forget that Pam is a joker, Kiara?" said Samantha, recalling her oldest sister’s playful behavior. "She's almost never serious about anything."
"Yeah, Pam almost never keeps a straight face, even when she's serious about something," Rebecca chimed in.
Pamela just laughed further, her trick seeming to have worked as she tried to catch her breath. Even Rufus was laughing along with her, as he too seemed to like the joke.
"The look on your faces was good. I should've taken a photo. Right Rufus?"
And then something surprising occurred as further shock hit all three younger sisters as the Toxicroak surprised everyone with what he said.
"You should've given me your phone to take a picture, Pamela. The look of horror on Lance's face was a riot," said Rufus in perfect English.
On hearing this, Kiara took a double take, unable to process what she just heard.
"Wah- what? Rufus can speak English too?!" exclaimed Kiara.
"Yep. It's seems like Me and my Froggo buddy aren't the only ones to get frisky," said Pamela with a snicker. Meanwhile, Samantha and Rebecca looked on in shock, seeing that both of their older sisters were Poképhiles. "I'm glad I'm not the only one who committed some Pokémon loving, to be honest. Now, if Dad were to find out that I’m a Poképhile, I wouldn’t be the only one to get a yelling."
Pamela and Kiara both committed Poképhilia, and both them and their Pokémon had unlocked the “Gift of Speech”. After picking their jaws up from the floor, the two younger sisters went over to ask their older sisters some questions. Why did they do it? When did it happen? How was the experience of kissing your Pokémon? The last few questions made it seem as though they too were getting interested in trying it out for themselves. Certainly, Samantha and Rebecca were feeling left out of the antics of their older sisters.
But as the sisters talked, it wasn't long before danger set in. They felt a dark presence from coming from the church, and low and behold they saw someone that gave the four chills.
It was the last person they'd ever want to find out about their sexual adventures.
Father Matthew Grint was walking down the stairs of the Church of Arceus and down onto the sidewalk along with Pastor Solis. The two were talking rather loudly, with the priest being the one with the louder voice. He seemed to sound genuinely upset, though the two men were too far away for the sisters to hear what their beef were. The priest stormed away with a huff down the street, looking towards the four sisters momentarily before facing forwards and continuing down their way. Pastor Solis, meanwhile, saw Kiara and waved at her, remembering that she was a close friend to his son, Justin. He then turned around and climbed back up the stairs to enter the church once more.
Whatever the two were bickering over ended in sort of bitter conclusion. Kiara and Lance were unnerved by the presence of the priest, feeling as though they just had a close call. But eventually, the two returned to the sisters to talk more about their recent discovery.
The four walked to the Pokémon Center to heal their buddies, and when they arrived they found the healing center to be full of people and Pokémon partners. The ambience was so carefree and cheery, the Thanksgiving festivity filling the center. The sisters grabbed a bite to eat in the food court after their Pokémon were wheeled away on separate gurneys. While eating, the four sisters talked in rather hushed tones about the conversion of Pamela and Kiara to Poképhilia. The two younger sisters began to feel rather left out, thinking that perhaps they too ought to get in with the club. Perhaps they would follow the examples of their older sisters to start a Strideworth family tradition of Poképhile romances.
But Kiara was rather worried. She knew that Poképhilia was dangerous even to just mention it, and already she had multiple Kissing Sessions with Lance. It was indeed fun, but if anyone were to find out, it could get ugly. She was just so unnerved, and she felt so because of seeing Father Grint. The man seemed to be everywhere, and he seemed to know when Poképhiles were around him. He didn't look at Kiara long earlier, but she felt his eye burning on her. She wanted to hide away in shame, hoping that she'd get off easy. In the eyes of Father Grint, Kiara and her Poképhile friends and sisters were sinners.
But Kiara also loved her Pokémon greatly. She couldn't imagine life without Lance. She wanted to hug him, to kiss him, and even make love to him. He meant everything to her, and she didn't want to let him out of her life. And he was the one who kept her mind from thinking dark thoughts; Mama Luann was still in danger, and she needed him to cope with the fact that her mother was gravely ill.
The Healing jingle rang, and so the sisters went over to pick up their Pokémon, who were now in tip top condition. Kiara and Lance then left the sisters for home after a while of chatting. She was glad that Lance was okay, and she felt like she wanted to reward him for doing such a wonderful job.
The two arrived home, and once they entered they both made a beeline for the bedroom and crashed onto the bed. It was a rather exhausting day, and the two wanted to relax. The day had been long, and they were tired from battling and having fun with the sisters. The two Poképhiles spooned on bed, with Kiara spooning around Lance and wrapping her arms around his body to bring him close.
"You know, Lance, I didn't expect Pamela to come out as a Poképhiles," she said.
"Neither did I," he replied. "But knowing Rufus, I'm not surprised either."
The two were reminiscing on the recent happenings, and their hearts began to beat hard as they felt themselves get even closer. Lance turned around to face his trainer, and he had a rather serene look in his eyes. He noted her aura was going towards more carnal thoughts, just like his own.
"You know, Kiara, I'm glad we managed to come this far in our relationship. I... haven't felt this sort of happiness before in my life."
"I'm happy too, Lance," she responded with reddening cheeks. "And I want us to be happy for longer still. I hope one day we can come out into a world where Poképhiles like us aren't persecuted."
"I long for that day as well," he agreed. "I long for that day as much as I long for you."
And upon saying these words did he place a hand on her cheek. His heart was now beating even harder, and Kiara's heart jumped hard upon feeling his warm paw. She could feel his growing aura surrounding her own, and it was an aura of want and desire. Their hearts were now beating in tandem, their minds clouding with thoughts of what to do next. There wasn’t much else they could do, but what they could do was grand and amazing. Kiara and Lance's mouths got closer, their thoughts shifting towards a scene where they'd imbibe in each other's lips and take up each other's thoughts.
Their lips closed, with Kiara moaning slightly into the kiss as their tongues danced around each other. Lance's tongue was rougher compared to Kiara's, and his saliva was also slicker and stickier. They didn't seem to mind the saliva swapping, however, as they were too engrossed in the feeling of being so close to each other. The feeling of being within each other's grasp and being engrossed in such a phenomenal kiss was intoxicating, but the pleasure they'd get would only carry on from there.
Kiara lowered a hand towards Lance's crotch and began to stimulate that area by rubbing on him. She put slight amounts of pressure as she kissed him, working on bringing out what she was after. He didn't stand a chance as he felt his member start to poke out, drawn out by the stimulation. The tip was barely out, but it was enough for Kiara to squeeze. Lance let out a small yelp from the squeeze but then returned to the kiss. There was a growing passion between the two of them, and it showed with Kiara's snatch getting wetter and Lance's cock now fully erect.
Kiara stopped kissing Lance and got off of bed, leaving the poor Lucario wanting more. She then began taking off her clothes in a suggestive way, removing her blouse and revealing a white bra that opened from the front. She kicked off her tennis shoes and socks and then unbuckled her black jeans and let them fall to the floor, with the only thing blocking the most important view being some pink panties. This is where things were sure to get interesting. She grabbed her panties and stretched them to the side, slowly but steadily lower them down her thighs, only to lift them back up and cover her entrance again – teasing him cruelly as she smiled wickedly and winked at him. The Lucario was getting even more aroused from this tease as he seemed to enjoy being played with visually.
At last she lowered her panties to her knees, placing her hand on her open sex. She was already starting to get wet as Lance could even smell her pheromones. The panties fell to the floor and took off her bra to reveal her supple breasts. Kiara climbed onto bed again and went for his now erect cock, which also smelled pheromonal due to the pre cum that was already coming out of his tip. He seemed to know what she was going to do next.
Kiara grabbed his member softly, placing her lips on the long canine cock and kissing it, almost worshipping it and giving it attention. The cock entered her mouth, and the cum that was on it touched her taste buds. The semen was sticky and slimy, though it did have a somewhat sweet taste. Her tongue lapped at these juices as her mind went wild with how addicted she was immediately becoming to it. She bobbed her head up and down the member, apply pressure with both her lips and her hands, using the lips to suckle and slurp while her hands squeeze more cum from Lance's phallus. He was enjoying this greatly, feeling his mind come alive from this combined blow job and hand job. He even placed a hand on Kiara's head so she could put even more pressure on him.
The two kept at it for some time. Kiara seemed to be really skilled at her task. She did have sex a few times with about two boyfriends, so she learned from doing this with them. Though she was not a virgin anymore, at least she was experienced enough to know what the hell she was doing, and so bring pleasure onto her partner. Lance could only bend his head back onto the pillow as he felt himself get serviced like this. Contrary to Kiara, he never even so much as masturbated before, yet he boasted a great natural stamina and endurance. Kiara eventually stopped blowing and rubbing him, with him taking the session well and his cum running dry.
"Wow, you're lasting pretty long... for a virgin," teased Kiara.
"Shut up," growled Lance in a low voice.
"Hah-hah! Don't take it seriously, Lance. I know that you're enjoying this a lot... and so am I."
Hearing this, Lance decided to get coy with his trainer.
"Is that the best you can do then, Kiara?" he teased wryly. "Where is all of your experience if you can't make a virgin like me cum?"
Kiara made a wry face as she heard this, feeling fired up to make Lance eat his words.
"Ooh, you'll regret those words, Lance, because the fun part is now here."
With quick haste did Kiara climb onto her partner, seeming to aim for a Cow Girl position. She grabbed a pillow and put it above Lance's chest spike before laying down on him and kissing him. Lance could taste his own sperm from what remained in Kiara's mouth, and he could see why she seemed to crave it so feverishly. But Kiara rose back upright and aimed her entrance for his tip.
Kiara and Lance looked at each other, their eyes showing the trust they had in each other. Lance trusted that Kiara would not go too far, and Kiara promised to make the experience as fun and memorable for him as possible. These were their last moment before taking the plunge.
It was finally time to become true Poképhiles.
Kiara lowered herself onto him, his cock entering her as he felt how soft yet tight her sex organ was. It was a tight fit, but Kiara powered through despite the pain that came from being stretched. It was such a wonderful feeling that she hoped would last, and she began to grow accustomed to having his thick rod inside her. She continued lowering herself further and further until she reached his knot. But ever the glutton for punishment she slowly consumed his knot, the pain almost unbearable yet so tantalizing. Lance groaned as he felt just how tight his knot made the insertion. It hurt like all hell, but he carried on ever the one to please his trainer.
Kiara took in Lance’s entire rod, and the very tip of him was now close to touching her cervix. It was such a tight yet perfect fit, and the two remained still and just took this feeling in. After about ten seconds of getting a feel, the now maniacal trainer lifted her up slowly, feeling the stinging pleasure of her lover's rod rubbing along her walls. As soon as he was almost out of her did she slowly lower herself back down, and she'd do this various more times before she'd pick up the pace.
Lance, for his part, was in heaven. His mind was overcome with wave after stinging wave of reverie as Kiara began to hop every now and again. Kiara moaned her pleasure as she grew impressed with how big her Pokémon lover was, feeling her vaginal walls be stretched out. The feeling of having such fine stock for herself drove something carnal within her. The nymphomaniac within her began to release herself from her heart because she drastically sped up. She was making a hop a second, her pace rapid and her heart beating. This, in turn, caused intense pain for both her and Lance, but neither one complained except for the moans they let out. It was as though the both of them had just entered a state of complete euphoria, and they both wanted more.
"Am I going too fast for you, Lance?" asked Kiara, wondering how he must be feeling.
"Not at all,” Lance confirmed.
"Good, cause I want to carry this on further. Get ready to cum for me, buddy."
With that Kiara sped up even more. The pain of riding Lance's cock made her feel like she was being split in half, but the pleasure that came from it made it all worth it. Lance wouldn't want it any other way, as he wanted to please both himself and his trainer. Kiara was becoming manic, as fifteen full minutes of riding occurred until they at last knew what was coming next.
Kiara and Lance both felt the growing sensation of pressure on their crotch areas, and so they knew that their time was coming.
"Kiara... I... I think-" Lance tried to finish his sentence, but his mind was too overwhelmed.
"Same here, Lance buddy," Kiara replied back. "I-I... I love you, Lance."
"I love you too, Kiara."
And with that, Kiara sped up one last time, the feeling of pleasure at last reaching the ceiling and wanting to burst out of boundaries. The pressure was now out of control. Something had to break. With Kiara slamming her pelvis onto Lance one last time, burying his knot into her body, the two came alight as the knot swelled in size, locking the two together.
At long last, Kiara's walls began to contract as her ecstasy completely shattered her mind. Her vagina constricted on Lance's cock and suckled it for every last drop of sperm it could give. Not long after her orgasm did Lance's dam also break. His cock erupted in a gushing torrent as his partner felt the familiar wet feeling of having wet and sticky fluid within her. She could feel every jet of cum hit her cervix and enter her womb, the virile Lucario cum filling up her most intimate of areas and giving her a warm and cuddly feeling inside. Every jet of cum sent her past an edge that she had already fallen over – his knot plugging all his sperm to keep from spilling. Every constriction made Lance enter a place that he never entered before—somewhere so beautiful, so enticing. And he hoped to come back.
At this point, Kiara's mind had all but shattered into a million irreparable pieces. She was only barely upright, held up as though by a slim twine cable that threatened to snap. And snap it did because Kiara fell forwards and landed on top of Lance. The Lucario, thankfully, was lucid enough to slow down her fall so that she didn't hurt herself on his pillow-covered chest spike. He lowered her slowly on top of him, and there she remained still attached his member via his canine knot that bound them together. Eventually she did regain her senses, and she lifted her head up to look at her Pokémon.
She planted a kiss on his cheek, showing her appreciation and thanking him for such a wonderful sex session. This, by far, was the best sex she had in her life.
“Did you enjoy this, Lance honey?” Kiara asked her lover.
“Very much, Kiara,” Lance smiled as he opened his eyes to look at her.
The two stood still for a moment, looking at each other’s eyes as they smiled.
"I'm glad we become Poképhile lovers, Lance," she said with a grin and with sexual eyelids. "I've never had such a good fucking in my life. You're a real pro, you know."
"I only did my best to hold on," Lance admitted. "You did all the hard work, Kiara."
"But you lasted so long, buddy. You're pretty good at sex, so I hope we can do this again."
"I'm certain we can."
And with that the two locked lips again and kissed into the evening. With Lance’s knot at last deflating, Kiara lifted herself upwards, pulling his cock out of her. When his member at last came out, a gush of seed also came dripping out of her entrance. She seemed pleased by this, though the mess was so great that the two had to get out of bed and remove the bed sheets. But the two didn't climb back on bed. It wasn't even nighttime yet and the sun was still up, despite the room being dark. Feeling sticky, the two showered together with soap and warm water. Afterwards, they ordered a pizza and watched a movie from the Internet on their TV.
The Poképhiles tucked into their meaty pizza pie as they reminisced on their recent achievement, happy as could be for finally crossing this boundary. Tomorrow was Thanksgiving, and the two were hoping to spend it with family and friends. And it was certain to be a happy time for them all, hoping to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner while also making the most of their new relationship.
All the while, the glimmering star up above shone through with joy at seeing the relationship between Kiara and Lance blossom. It had done its job yet again, bringing another human and Pokémon close together in this moment of joy and happiness. There was a lot that Kiara and Lance had to look forward to, and the hope was that their shared happiness could continue – all under the guidance of their celestial guardian in the night sky up above.
So the two could hope…

The Next Day - Thanksgiving
It was now Thanksgiving Dinner and the Strideworth family were all seated at the dining room table, passing around platters and plates of food and carving into a bird that looked juicy and tender. Cranberry sauce and Gravy poured form gravy boats, and the clatter of kitchenware was heard all throughout the house. Kiara was enjoying this wonderful meal, and so were her sisters and parent. It was such a beautiful time, and even more so with Lance sitting right next to her.
The Lucario was getting into the meats that he piled onto his plate, though he also tried the veggies and mashed potatoes as well. Rufus, Diz and Wen were also tucking into the plates of food around them and passed some to their trainers. Pamela was talking about the news from her home in Garden Gate; a Neo Plasma sleeper cell was taken down, making the town somewhat safer. Samantha, meanwhile, was cracking a few jokes and inciting some groans for how bad they were, all while Rebecca was tucking into her food without bothering to listen to her sister's idiotic comedy.
It was certainly a festive time to be in this household.
"Did you hear that Father Grint and Pastor Solis had a falling out yesterday?" said Pamela. "I heard all about it earlier today when I talked to some of the neighbors."
"Oh yeah?" wondered Hank. "Let me guess, it was all about those damn Poképhiles, right?"
"Yep. I heard that too," said Rebecca. "I guess that's what they were fighting over when we were at the PokéPark doing some battling."
"I hope those two don't end up hating each other," hoped Samantha. "I mean, Poképhilia is already causing enough division with people."
With this came some sage words from the ever kind matriarch of the household.
"I honestly hope them Poképhiles are careful," said Mama Luann. "It's bad enough they're being threatened and beat up just cause of what they do. I don't think they deserve the hate, even though what they do ain't pretty to everyone."
But Hank was not amused. “So, you got sympathies for them ingrates, Mama?” Hank challenged his wife.
But Mama Luann was not going to stand for it. “As ah matter ah fact, I do. I mean, if I was one ah their mamas, I’d be worried silly a little something – seeing how they’re being shamed left and right. They may or may not be doing the right thing, but goodness knows that they’re still nice folk who just want to have a good life. And there ain’t nobody out there need be telling a person how to live their lives if deep down they’re good people doing good things.”
And on Luann saying this, Hank shut up, grumbling as he fell defeated.
Kiara blushed a bit at her mother's kind words, both appreciating her understanding and feeling the irony of the situation. If only her mother knew the truth about what she did with her Pokémon the day before – making love and consummating their romance. However, she had the notion that her mother would have been just fine with that.
Kiara didn't regret at all having sex with Lance, even if it was a bit painful and intense. She loved Lance with all her heart, and she knew that he loved her too. It was this mutual love for each other that made their bond genuine. It was love and nothing else, and there would be nothing that would ever separate the two.
And that was something that Kiara was thankful for this Thanksgiving Dinner – that she had both Pokémon, family, and friends who stood by her. And that was something to be grateful for...
