Love has No Bounds

An Aura of Hallowed Nights – Chapter 1

By J.C. Solis

Lakeshire Town was abuzz with the hubbub of the holiday season, as both residents and Pokémon alike were in the mood to have a blast. The day was Halloween Eve, October 30th. And best of all was that it was a Friday, meaning that the big day would land on a Saturday, granting people the day off from work to have fun and party. People were buying candy by the bushel to give out to little kids dressed in all sorts of costume ranging from superheroes to Pokémon to even monsters and ghouls. Meanwhile, many adults had in mind to throw Halloween bashes and fun filled parties, hoping to swig alcohol and dance to rave music while also dressed in costume. It was going to be a fun night, and many were excited for the future holidays to come afterwards.

Though Halloween was always a blast, the following days would be full, not only with hangovers, but with the wails of mourning.

On November 2nd was the Day of the Dead, and all over Daegar people would switch from bombastic cheer to somber reflection. This was the national holiday where people would take time to mourn their lost loved ones as the people would crowd the cemeteries, mausoleums, and graveyards to give their ancestors and kin a visit. Though it was usually solemn and quiet, there was still plenty of festivities, food, and partying that would lead to even more hangovers. Though the partying would be more restrained, this time the people would get drunk with the spirits of their dead relatives in mind.

These two spooky holidays made for merriment abound, and what was even more interesting was that Day of the Dead was also a furloughed holiday, meaning nobody had to go work.

Kiara Strideworth would be one of those people, and she loved to have fun during these days.

Kiara was a short young woman with straight black hair who liked to dress in a semi-goth outfit, commence Pokémon battles with friends and strangers, and workout and train in martial arts. She wore a black leather studded jacket over a pink blouse, wearing a pair of black skinny trousers and brown boots. Though she looked pretty hard, what with her black lipstick and her facial makeup that made her look like she was embracing the dark side, she was a sweet tomboy who enjoyed horsing around and being chilled out and Down to Earth.

The only things she took seriously in life was her job as a Sous Chef at an extravagant restaurant in Downtown Lakeshire Town as well as her martial arts training and battle prowess. She and her Pokémon may be strong enough to kick someone’s ass, but she was just as likely to cook the loser – or winner, if they somehow managed to win – a gourmet meal to treat them after the battle.

Kiara was a native of the Daegar region and a seasoned trainer, having traveled as far away as the Kanto Region to battle and take part in the Pokémon League—even making it as far as the Final match before being taken out by Champion Blue, which was a decisive battle where she and Lance lost at the very last moment. She even competed in the Kalos Pokémon League, where she went to KRU—Kalos Regional University—to learn how to become a chef and where she first met with her friends. As such, she now worked as a Sous Chef over at the famous "Shire Lake Bordeaux Eatery", a Michelin Three-star restaurant that catered to the more affluent folks in the area.

She came from an active disciplinarian household, with her father Hank being a no-nonsense man who instilled a sense of toughness and determination into all four of his beautiful daughters. He taught them how to kick a boy's ass whenever one would accost them and even gave them all a Pokémon so that they could protect the girls whenever they went out of home. It just so happened that the Pokémon Kiara received when she was a young girl was a little Riolu, and that little Emanation Pokémon would evolve into the Pokémon partner she had now.

Lance was a hard as nails, serious and dedicated Lucario whose rough-around-the-edges demeanor was only matched by his extreme loyalty to his trainer. He was righteous and just, though he was also curt and frank, which causes him to say hurtful though brutally honest things at times. He enjoyed being around Kiara's friends and their Pokémon and was especially fond of participating in a Pokémon battle. He loved to fight, but he was also a steadfast friend to those whom he grew to trust. And anyone who knew him personally knew that he was both not to be messed with and someone whom you would want on your side during trouble.

These days, Kiara and Lance have been interested in the growing scene happening with their friends, especially regarding Poképhilia. It was barely a week ago that theirs friend Saria Price and her Greninja Razor admitted to being Poképhiles with each other, and it was a revelation that led Kiara and Lance down the rabbit hole. It was even more interesting was how society was reacting, with the past few protests seemed to stir things up. It was only a few days ago that another riot between the pro and anti-Poképhilia advocates clashed, and the fight even left a few people and Pokémon battered. It seemed the whole world was going mad, the epicenter seeming to occur right in the middle of Lakeshire Town. Kiara and Lance didn't know what to think of it as they were curious as to what this all meant.

The two were at home as they were watching the news on TV. It was now the late night, and they were watching news from Late Night television news networks. The two were seated on a love seat in their living room, enjoying a good channel-surfing session to see if anything interesting was on. They had finished a rigorous workout routine in the backyard which consisted of everything from push-ups to sit-ups and some High Intensity Interval Training. They were treating themselves to a nice break after the intense workout routine, though it was rare for them to look at the TV screen for long; neither were avid TV couch potatoes in the slightest.

But the latest news had them glued to the screen, and neither liked what they saw. The Anti-Poképhilia priest Father Matthew Grint was at an anti-Poképhilia rally with other priests and pastors, and their messages were all the same: Poképhilia was an abomination, and Poképhiles were not welcome.

"God damn," said Kiara. "The whole scene has really been blowing up lately."

"It's kinda interesting to see all these people fight, trying to force their beliefs onto others," replied Lance through his Aura powers. Though he couldn't talk physically, he could emanate his words through his Aura. "I wonder if Arceus himself condones or condemns this stuff."

Kiara wondered how her friend Saria was doing. She must be looking at all this stuff as well, probably even getting nervous from seeing this. Kiara hoped her dear friend was doing okay and that she wouldn't be exposed. The world seemed to be falling apart. People were attacking each other, all for lack of acceptance. But she hoped that when Halloween rolled around the violence would dim down. People would probably be dressing up as Pokémon for Halloween, so there wasn't expected to be many protests. Still, people were on edge as to whether there’d be more fighting, though it was hoped the presence of children would prevent such things.

Another thing that Kiara worried about was a recent scuffle that Saria had with a co-worker, a man by the name of Arnold. It was revealed that Arnold had been stalking Saria. He had been following her home and even spying on her through any possible opening, perhaps even hoping to see her naked. But Razor was not easily fooled and caught him multiple times. Saria and Razor, as well as Jason and Camilla, confronted him and warned that they'd call the police if he kept at it. But the man was not easily dissuaded and continued acting like a Peeping Tom – and even though he was fired from Silph Co for his erratic behavior, he still clung to Saria like a Joltic on an Electric type. There was only hope that Arnold would not prove to be a danger later on. He might not be harmless, but there was hope that the degenerate man would not escalate as a threat.

Kiara hoped that Saria would be rid of him soon and be able to celebrate Halloween in peace. Halloween was one thing that Kiara looked forward to. This Halloween seemed like a lot of fun, as Saria said she'd be hosting a party. Obviously, Arnold was not invited, but here was hoping a large crowd would keep him from doing something stupid.

Kiara turned off the TV and looked at Lance. She then went on to kiss him on the cheek. She was not a Poképhile. She just wanted to give him an endearing kiss, and He, in turn, blushed from it.

"So, what do you think about Halloween, Lance?" she asked him. "Did you like the costume I bought the other day?"

"It looked fine, though I wonder why you went with it," he sounded perplexed.

"Because it's Halloween, dummy. Who wouldn't want to dress up as a Pokémon for Halloween?"

"I guess. I just don't like how it looks much."

"Because it looks like you?" she teased. Lance growled a bit, and so giving his answer. "Oh come on Lance, you know that I've been trying to find a good Lucario outfit that was my size just for today."

"Maybe because you're too short for all the normal Halloween outfits?" he stung with his words.

"Like Lucarios are all that tall to begin with," jabbed back Kiara, referencing her costume in comparison to actual Lucario height.

"Well, you're pretty short for a human, and even shorter compared to the average woman."

The heights of Kiara and Lance were interesting, as they were not average. Kiara was pretty short, being only around 5-foot 1 inch tall, or 1.55 meters. Lance was above average height for a Lucario, being around 4-foot 5 inches tall or 1.35 meters at his forehead, not counting his ears. The two of them were surprisingly close in height, with Kiara only slightly taller than Lance. Then again, He was still much stronger than she was.

"Now that's a low blow, Lance," she said, punching his shoulder. "I'm not short! I'm... fun sized!"

And what a loud of “fun” Kiara was, so Lance could think.

"If you didn't hit so hard with your punches and kicks, a large man could easily pick you up and place you up somewhere high so you wouldn't be able to go back down to the ground."

This joke caused Kiara to laugh out loud, being able to laugh at a joke made of her.

"And, on the contrary, you can't reach anywhere high without climbing up a ladder. You're so short that you can barely even reach the spoons and forks in the upper cupboard drawer."

"Whatever."

The two finished bickering and got off the sofa. It was now super late, and they both felt sleepy. They headed for bed to get some rest. Upon entering, Kiara immediately began to strip her clothes down, revealing her tan body and her fit frame. She was almost close to having six pack abs, and her arms and legs were also incredibly muscular. One thing that especially looked big was her rear, with her ass being portrayed as a nice cushion for sitting on. Up front her breasts were an impressive C-cup size, meaning that she still had a nice piece of ass and tits if anything else could be said about her beauty.

Kiara was actually a bit of tease. However she was not an easy woman in the slightest, and she had the uncanny knack of knowing when egocentric men were looking at her.

Though she looked sexy wearing only a bra and panties, she pulled out a pair of pink Pajamas and proceeded to put them on. The cold had at last arrived at the Lake Shire area, and it would only be another month or so before the snow would finally arrive. The temperature was still a balmy 6 degrees Celsius at the moment, and the two would need thick blankets for the night.

Surprisingly, Kiara and Lance already took to sleeping in the same bed, a habit they adopted since childhood. Lance, being the shorter one, would spoon around the inside of Kiara on bed, and his thick blue fur was enough to give extra warmth when they spooned. Any other person would assume they were Poképhiles for doing this, though neither identified as being so. It was just something that the both had been doing for the longest time now, and neither one of them saw it as being weird or awkward.

The two gave each other a "Good Night" before drifting off into sleep, hoping that their dreams would be sweet and tomorrow a wonderful day full of happy Halloween cheer.

Little did either know that their sleep would not be pleasant.

The following morning, Kiara and Lance groaned as they stirred from bed, with both of their brains pounding as though they had hit to the head. Kiara would usually get this feeling from a hangover, as she was a weak sauce drinker who couldn't handle much alcohol.

"Morning Lance," she called groggily. "Did you sleep well, cause I slept like shit."

"I slept rather iffy," replied Lance. "I don't think I've ever had a dream like the one I had."

Kiara knew what he meant; the dreams she had were strange, but at the same time they seemed almost prophetic.

The dream felt to be a full feature length movie, with twists and turns and a whole menagerie of colorful characters. She dreamt of being in the middle of a fierce protest, with people and Pokémon alike throwing punches and beating each other senseless as a dark aura surrounded them all. Dark clouds filled the skies as chaos erupted, with blood being spilt and the world falling apart. And in a dark cloud that was hanging low and watching the whole crowd were a pair of glowing red eyes, which appeared to glare at everyone and everything with malice and disdain.

But out of nowhere, beams of light punched through the clouds and shone on the bloodied people and Pokémon. They all stopped fighting and, strangely enough, began to hug one another and apologizing for the wounds they inflicted on each other. And from the central beam of light a symbol fell down, which appeared to be the Axle of Arceus. The cloud with the red eyes began to fade in a shriek of pain, but when it fully disappeared did all the people and Pokémon at last know peace.

Kiara couldn't believe how trippy this entire dream was, wondering what it could mean. She went on to describe to Lance everything that she saw and could still remember, which left them both stumped as to what it meant.

"Perhaps this dream didn't mean anything," Lance suggested as he scratched his head. “After all, not all dreams are meant to be taken seriously."

"I guess you're right," she concluded. "So, I guess we should soon get ready for the party. The party starts at Five thirty PM today, so I guess we ought a prepare."

"I think we should. That would be the wise."

The two fighters got out of bed to prepare for their day. It would still be a while before the party began, but neither wanted to be late. But the strange dream would haunt Kiara for a while, not knowing what it meant. Perhaps it didn't mean anything, or perhaps it was an omen. But so far, the future didn’t reveal anything, nor would she lose any sleep—even more sleep than what she already lost—over it.

Kiara went on with her day, hoping that a nice breakfast and a practice session on her skills with Karate would suffice, and Lance was the perfect sparring partner for that...

Later that Evening

The hubbub of Halloween was in full swing around Lakeshire Town as people walked around with children dressed in costumes to get candy from people's homes. The neighborhood was jumping with the reverie of another spooky season, with the smell of delicious food wafting through the air as parties and barbecues were being held in a few of the houses around. The air vibrated from the sound of rave music from some of those homes, with bass sub-woofers sending low pitched shockwaves in the air. The was ambience everywhere as people were enjoying themselves and the company of others.

What was even more interesting was the ambience of the Pokémon themselves, especially the normally secretive ghost types. They were usually not known for coming out unless for food or until night time, but today the ghosts floated around and enjoyed themselves and company of the people from town. The ghosts were welcomed by all, and the Pokémon were happy to congregate around people during a time when spooks highly regarded. The ghosts enjoyed pulling jump scare pranks and running around with the children and just creating mayhem—after all, ghosts were fond of creating chaos.

"Trick or treat!" shouted a girl in a Mismagius costume.

"Smell my feet!" said another child, this time a boy dressed as a Dusknoir.

"Give me something good to eat!" said another boy, this one dressed as a Sableye.

"Well I'll be beat," said the man who answered the door to be greeted by these children dressed as common ghost types. He gave all three a chocolate bar, hoping this would placate the spirits.

"Thank you!" shouted all three in appreciation.

But as the children prepared to leave, they were confronted by a playful Pokémon.

"Gastly!" 'Hey kids, you wanna play tag?' said a spooky though friendly Gastly that appeared.

The three children turned to look at the ghostly orb, unafraid to be in its presence.

"Oh look, a Gastly!" said the little Mismagius girl in joy.

"Wow! It looks awesome!" admired the Dusknoir boy. "I can't wait for it to evolve into Haunter."

"But how do you pet it?" wondered the Sableye boy. "It's a ball of poisonous gas."

The Gastly tilted its head to the side in confusion. "Gastly?" 'I'm poisonous?' wondered the Ghost Pokémon, unaware of it part Poison typing.

"Well, let's play chase with it," suggested the Mismagius girl. "You're it, Gastly!"

And like that, the giggling children ran away from the Pokémon, calling out to them to urge it to chase after them in a fun game. The Gastly smiled at hearing the kids usher it on to play a game.

"Gastly!" 'Okay! Let's play tag then!' and so the Pokémon chased after the kids, starting yet another fun little game between Pokémon and children.

Kiara and Lance were walking down the street as the three children and the Gastly passed them by. It was nice to see the children and wild Pokémon at play and having fun.

"Look at all the kids go, Lance," smiled Kiara. "This reminds me of when You and I used to go trick or treating as kids, doesn’t it?"

"It does all look heartwarming," replied Lance as he stoically looked around. "Though all these kids are gonna get their teeth rotted and sore stomachs from all this candy that’s going around."

"Oh don't be a spoil sport. Let them have fun and eat all the candy they want. I mean, I'd love to go trick or treating right now if I weren’t so dang old, and I'm even wearing a costume."

"But why did you have to wear a costume dressed as my own species?" he complained. "Couldn't you have picked another Pokémon to dress as?"

Lance noted how Kiara was dressed in a Lucario outfit. She wore a blue fur outfit with a tan abdomen and stomach, with blue Lucario ears, chest and hand spikes, and the signature black mask with the four orbs from behind her head. She looked rather beautiful in the outfit, and for sure she would turn some heads when they'd arrive over at Saria's house.

"Well, that's because I love Lucarios, just as much as I love you too, Lance," she said, bending over and kissing him on the cheek.

"Well, I'm flattered," Lance replied with blushing cheeks.

Lance then felt his heart beat hard. He kept looking at Kiara's beauty and how fetching she looked in her Lucario costume. He had never felt this way before, and it made him feel uncomfortable. He began noticing things such as her sweet scent, her beautiful face, and even her supple breasts as they pressed against her costume’s plush fabric. He caught himself looking at her boobs longer than he would otherwise, and he nervously shook his head to refocus his priorities. He then thought of his friends Saria and Razor and how those two got together. How was it that they were able to break the barrier of this taboo and be a couple? He wondered if he too could also become romantically involved with his trainer.

But Lance was overall confused as to how easy these thoughts came. What was it about looking at Kiara and her wonderful outfit that grabbed his attention? What was it about her in this very moment that seemed to... turn him on?

After a short while more of walking the two arrived at Saria's house, and already the party could be heard from the street. The booming of the sub-woofer speakers reverberated through the air and the smell of a barbeque grill could be smelled all the way from where they were. They walked down the driveway and to the side door. Upon reaching the backyard they came upon people dancing on a dance floor while the DJ cranked out Techno and EDM.

Upon stepping into the party-

"Kiara!" shouted a familiar voice. "You made it!"

Saria came up to her long time BFF and hugged her. She was wearing a blue Ninja outfit, which fit her rather well. In a puff of smoke Razor appeared Ninja-style, who also came to greet them,

"Howdy, Lance," said the Greninja to the Lucario. "Welcome to the party!"

"Nice of you and your trainer to have us hear, Razor,” Lance replied back.

"Hey there, Saria," replied Kiara. "Wow! This place is jam packed full of people. You sure as hell threw a good party. And some even got costumes on."

"A 'good' party? Fuhgeddaboudit! This party is fucking beast!" said the voice of Jason, who walked over to the girls along with Camilla. Jason was not in a costume, though he was wearing an apron with the line 'Kiss the Cook' on it. He was in charge of cooking all the delicious food that could be whiffed all the way from the street, and he was a fantastic grill master. "Hope you and Lance buddy came hungry, Kiara, cause I've got enough racks of ribs and meats for that caveman craving you've got."

"Dumb-dumb may be a goofball," began Camilla, "but he's a grilling guru. You've got to try his food, you two."

"No thanks, I'm not all that hungry," said Lance. "And is that a beer bottle I see in your hands?"

Razor nodded his head as he crossed his arms.

"Camilla's been drinking beer ever since the party began," admitted Razor. "And quite frankly, I'm surprised she hasn't keeled over from the alcohol yet."

"Razor, you're about to learn what it feels like to have a foot shoved up your little froggy rear," Camilla warned jokingly, doing a little dance as she then looked at the Lucario and lifted her beer bottle at him. "Come on, Lance! Let's grab a beer and have some fun. Let's turn this shit up!"

"I don't drink, Camilla," rejected Lance. "I'm abstinent from alcohol."

"I too am abstinent from alcohol," joined Razor. "And even if I did drink, I'd try not to go overboard with the booze."

"You two are some spoilsport fuddy-duddies," chided Camilla, not liking what she heard.

"Besides," continued Lance, "I gotta keep an eye on Kiara. I need to make sure she doesn't go overboard with the alcohol."

"Too late," pointed Razor.

He pointed towards Kiara as she was downing a bottle of beer as she was talking with Saria and Jason. All Lance could do was groan as he hoped that she wouldn't go too far.

"Well, this is just great," Lance groaned as he face-palmed. "I hope she doesn't go overboard. The last time she got shit-faced she couldn't leave the bathroom from puking so hard."

While the three Pokémon talked, Saria, Jason and Kiara talked about how the party was going while eating food and drinking beer. Jason was upset that Justin had not shown up yet even though he promised that he would, though Justin did sound like he didn't feel like coming over.

"He'll show. Just give him time," said Kiara. "You know how hard it is for him to come out and enjoy parties and stuff."

"I know," replied Jason. "I just wished my bro didn't beat himself up too hard. He's been in a real bad state ah mind ever since his Gramps was admitted to Lakeshire Hospital."

"I hope Grandpa Solis will be alright," said Saria worriedly. "Justin's been in a really bad way ever since his grandpa was hospitalized."

They then switched the subject, with Jason warning Saria about something that was dangerous.

"I think you ought a watch your back while here, Saria," warned Jason. "I've been seeing signs that a certain someone who we told not come has been peeping around."

"You mean Arnold?" she wondered. Jason nodded. "That moron's been following me around a lot more frequently. If it weren’t for Razor being with me I'd be more afraid, but thanks for letting me know."

"Arnold has a stupid strong Aggron for a Pokémon," added Jason. "I've seen it take on freaking large ass groups of Pokémon at once and it hardly left a scratch on that big lug."

"He'd have a hard time going up against my Pokémon," said Kiara adamantly. "If He and his Aggron try to lay a hand on you, I'd be sure to sick Lance on them. I've got your back, Saria."

"Thanks," said Saria, though she was rather anxious over the news from Jason. It seemed that Arnold would be a bigger problem than she anticipated, and with that she hoped that there wouldn't be too many issues. At least her friends were here to protect her.

After another fifteen minutes Justin at last arrived with his Gardevoir Lillia, and just like Jason he didn't show up in a costume. Jason went on to berate Justin for showing up late, to which he replied that he had been over at the hospital—which shut Jason up and made him feel bad. The girls cheered Justin up by handing him a plate of delicious food and a beer so that he could get his mind off of the pain of seeing his grandfather in hospital. Lillia went over with the other Pokémon friends to tell them how Justin has been. Both trainer and Pokémon told their friends that the elderly pastor was nearing Death's door, and that the prognosis looked grim. He was suffering from complications with Type 2 Diabetes, and his kidneys were failing as a result.

The party kept going on, with many people, and even their Pokémon, dancing away on the dance floor that was at the center of the lawn. A large canopy was at the center of the back yard, and lights shone light from the roof of the canopy. The center was usually empty and reserved for those who were either brave enough or drunk enough to show off their dance moves, hoping to impress others and perhaps garnish some clout for their dance moves—though those who turned out to being drunk didn't dance that well. The party was fueled by a mix of beer, liquor, soda, energy drinks, and Jason's cooking.

However, Lance couldn't get in a partying mood. Deep down he felt something was off, and he was vigilant as ever. But while staying vigilant, his mind and eyes began to wander. He looked at Saria and Razor dance together and the two seemed to be in sync with each other. In truth, he felt rather jealous over them coming out as lovers. This almost never happened to him, but seeing Kiara dressed in her costume really set him alight. And this didn't just happen spontaneously. He had been developing more intense feeling for Kiara in the past few weeks, and he has been suppressing his urges ever since they manifested. He wondered why he was feeling these pangs of urge and want. Was this the usual train of thought that led people to become Poképhiles?

Camilla went over towards him, hoping to get him to relax and join the party.

"Come on, Lance buddy," called Camilla. "You don't know what you're missing out on by standing out here by your lonesome."

"I just can't. I feel a bit confused," Lance confessed, feeling rather forlorn.

"Why, Lance honey? What's got you so upset?"

Lance just looked at the sky as he began to contemplate his thoughts. He had never been confused over something like this in his life, and his mind kept getting more and more confounded.

Lance noticed an incredibly bright star up in the sky, a sort of beacon for his hopes. He wondered if Arceus was watching him, and if he agreed or disagreed with him. Lance was starting to develop new feelings for his trainer, and it was something that had him confused, and he didn't know what to think.

"I don't feel like talking about it,” he morosely, feeling that he ought to confront this himself.

Camilla could only nod. She didn't want to pressure him into telling, so she left him to his privacy. "Well, if you ever wanna talk about it, you know me and the guys are here for you to vent out any grief. I hope you feel better, hun."

Camilla walked away, leaving Lance alone to look up at the sky again, his face still forlorn and confused. He desperately wanted guidance and answers, but he didn't know who to turn to for help or advice. Feeling his heartbeat with the thoughts of his trainer's beauty, he put his right hand to his chest and began to make a prayer.

"Dear Father Arceus," Lance began his prayer. "I am a confused and forlorn Pokémon who only wants the best for his trainer. I love her with all my heart, and I would do anything to protect her and keep her safe from any and all who'd wish her harm." Lance was now becoming truly heartfelt as he made this last plea. "Please Father Arceus...allow me to make my trainer a happy woman, perhaps the happiest woman on Earth. And please... let my true emotions be known to her, and may she accept them."

Lance made his wish, and so he hoped that it would come true. All the while, the star glistened with the same white light as ever, and with its glow were the hopes of Lance.

Suddenly, a faint female scream could be heard coming from a corner of Saria's house which was out of sight. It was so faint that nobody else could hear it, but the Lucario had an incredible sense of hearing, and so he decided to go and investigate. As he approached the side of the house where the scream came from, a large and imposing figure was seen, seeming like a Pokémon of massive proportions. He saw that the Pokémon was an Aggron, and in front of him was a man in a sort of devil costume who was pinning Saria to the back of the wall.

"HELP!!!" she screamed, though the loudness of the music made sure to drown out her pleads for help. "Let me go, Arnold! Anyone! HELP!"

Arnold remained quiet, not uttering a word as he stared intently at Saria. He seemed to be a rather brutal and psychotic person as he then got out a rag and put it to her nose. Slowly, Saria began to succumb to the noxious fumes of chloroform, and Arnold clearly showed his true intentions.

Lance knew immediately how serious the situation was, and so he contacted Kiara to find him over at the side of the house via Telepathy. He then formed a large Aura Sphere from his paws and lobbed it at Arnold. But before the sphere of Aura Sphere could hit him, the large Aggron got in the way, seeming to have known that a large ball of aura was coming for his trainer. The ball exploded in a cloud of smoke. But when the smoke cleared, the large Aggron stood tall – tanking the Double-effective move, albeit showing signs of pain. Arnold turned around to see the commotion, leaving Saria to slump to the floor even though she had not yet fallen unconscious from the fumes.

"So it seems we have company, Samson," said Arnold. "I thought nobody would notice with how loud they're blasting the music, but it seems I misjudged. Take care of him, will you?"

"Will do, boss," accepted Samson the Aggron, who then cracked his knuckles in anticipation to beating the Lucario senseless. "I hope you like being beat to a pulp, mutt."

"Don't count on it, asshole," replied Lance.

After saying that last line did people and Pokémon come over to see the fight after the commotion; Jason, Kiara, Justin, Camilla, Razor and Lillia were among those people and Pokémon.

"Arnold!" bellowed Jason. "Bro, stop all this shit! I don't wanna give you and your fucking 'Mon a beat down for this shit, alright?"

"Stop this, Arnold!" finally said Justin. "This doesn't have to end violently."

"We already called the cops, Arn!" added Kiara. "Best to give up while you got the chance."

At this, Arnold adjusted his spectacles and smirked with a snicker.

"In that case, I don't feel all too inclined to give up," replied Arnold. "I think I can still walk away from this without being caught by such weak trainers as yourselves."

"I'm going to beat all your asses if you even try to stop us," added Samson, standing tall vehemently as he glared at all the trainers and their Pokémon, almost daring them to try something.

"Like hell you well, brick head," shouted Camilla.

"You and your trainers are brutes!" shouted Lillia.

"It's about time that someone taught you two a lesson!" shouted Razor at the end.

Razor formed a large Water Shuriken in his hands and, when it had fully formed, lobbed it towards the large behemoth. A small gust formed from the hit, blowing dust into the air as water sprayed everywhere. But when it settled, Samson stood strong and proud, feeling little effect from the Super-effective move.

"What?!" shrieked Razor.

"Heh-heh, that tickled," said Samson.

"Well this won't!" said Camilla as she prepared to attack.

Camilla jumped high into the air and stuck out her foot when she was about to crash down, performing a Hi-Jump Kick to deal an even more painful, Double-effective move on the large Pokémon. But when Camilla at last hit the brute, she immediately began to shriek in pain. Samson too the direct hit, but he grunted in pain, he still stood tall as he tanked the impressive hit. But though Samson was dealt heavy damage, it was Camilla who was left in agony, feeling as though she hit a solid wall with her hopping away in pain, her legs unable to take the strain.

"Yowch!" she shrieked when she felt to floor and clutched her knee. "Son of Bitch! It felt like I missed and hit a concrete wall!"

But Samson was ready to counter.

"And here's something else to teach you a fucking lesson."

Samson used Iron Head and smashed his thick head into the Blaziken, sending her flying through the air. Though the move was Not-Very-Effective against her, the hit was so hard that the sheer force was enough to do a Critical hit on hurt her.

"Camilla!" shouted Jason as he ran to her aid. "Come on, girl, hang in there."

"Now who's the next Motherfucker who wants another bashing?!" Samson roared.

"I guess I'll be that so called 'fucker,'" said Lillia, who spread out her arms as he eyes began to glow. She used the move Psychic and send a psy shockwave that Samson tried his best to resist. Though the move was Not-Very-Effective due to his part Steel type, Samson still gritted his jaw in pain, though he managed to power through enough to open his maw. A small white ball began to form, and when it grew significantly enough a white beam of steel light shot out at Lillia, the Flash Cannon hitting her hard as she was launched away by the intense and Super-effective hit.

"Lillia!" shouted Justin as he went toward her. "Oh Arceus, are you okay?"

"Now that just leaves the mutt and his bitch," said Arnold, looking right at Kiara and Lance. "Let's hope the next hit will be four out of four. Samson, use Iron Head."

And with that, the large Pokémon charged forwards with his horns pointing forwards. Lance only had a few moments to react when Samson was already upon him.

But he was ready...

Kiara ordered him to use Close Combat, and the succeeding punches that the Lucario lobbed stopped the beast in his tracks and pummeled him fiercely. The Double-effective move ate at the Aggron's armor and send it reeling back in pain.

"Fucking shit!" bellowed Samson, though when he finally caught his breath he gave a smirk. "Finally, a Pokémon who knows how to throw a punch."

"And I'll keep throwing punches until you and your trainer leave," replied Lance adamantly.

Arnold smirked as he looked at his final opponent.

"Well, it looks like the mutt has some power," said Arnold. "Though he won't survive this. Samson. It's time," and Arnold lifted up a Key Stone that was on his wrist.

"Let's clobber this pussy," said Samson as the Mega Stone Aggronite that was in a necklace around his neck glowed, and completely surrounded him in a light of Mega evolutionary might.

"Oh shit," said Razor. He turned towards Camilla and Lillia as they were tended by their trainers. "Do you two think you can fight? I know both Blaziken and Gardevoir can Mega-evolve."

"I don't have a Mega stone," admitted Camilla. "Jason and I could never find one."

"What about you, Lillia?" Razor asked as he hoped for some good news.

"Justin has it at home right now," Lillia lamented. "And even if I could Mega Evolve, I'm at a type disadvantage."

"But I have one," Lance said standing proud. He then turned to Kiara and told her that he was ready. "Come on, Kiara! Let's do this!"

Kiara nodded, having understood what he said.

"Two can play at that game, Arnold!" said Kiara as she raised her own Key Stone.

Lance's Mega-stone on his left wrist began to glow, and he was covered in powerful light as well. When both Pokémon at last stopped evolved their lights stopped and they appeared in their Mega forms, appearing mightier and stronger than ever. No sooner said than done did Samson charge a ball of energy from his mouth, though this was not a Flash Cannon—He was charging a Hyper Beam attack. But Lance too was charging his own attack in the form of a Focus Blast. When both moves were charged, they were launched, with Samson and Lance shooting beams of energy.

Both moves collided with each other, doing their best to overpower the other move. But it seemed the type advantage of the Focus Blast was stronger, as it overcame Samson's Hyper Beam and pushed the beam back as the Blast shot back towards him.

"Oh shit-" was all Samson could say before he was hit by the attack, a powerful gust of dust blasting in all directions from the sheer power of the hit.

The friends and the people had to brace themselves for the hit, but when the dust settled it was clear who the winner was; Samson was on the floor and reverted to his normal form, completely down for the count and unconscious.

"Samson!" cried Arnold, recalling him to his Pokéball. "Damn it! I thought we would win."

Suddenly, the sound of police sirens were heard. The backyard was stormed by Police officers with their weapons drawn as well as their Pokémon. The music had all but ceased, and Arnold was pinned to the ground and beaten to submission by the police who were armed with batons and clubs. An Officer Jenny came up to the man and placed handcuffs on his arms while pinned to the ground.

"Arnold Seymour, you are under arrest for assault and attempted kidnapping," she said as she then read him his Miranda Rights. The police stayed around for a while longer to gather testimony from people and to talk to Kiara, commending her for the battle skills and for keeping the stalker and his Pokémon busy until they at last arrived. "You've done a wonderful job keeping the peace, Kiara," said Officer Jenny. "Your old man Hank would be proud."

"Thanks, Officer Jenny," smiled Kiara. Perhaps her dad would love to hear of her once again kicking another boy’s ass.

This is why Lance and Kiara trained so hard. The Lucario was the only one with the pedigree and prowess to take on Samson the Aggron. The others were strong, and definitely dented the brute, but it was ultimately Lance who delt the finishing blow – the true top dog among the Pokémon partners.

Jason, Justin, Camilla, Lillia and Razor went over towards Saria, who was still on the floor and incoherent, though thankfully still conscious. She took a rather big bump to the head as she tried to look at Razor with a straight face.

"R-r-razor," she slurred, her mind still not yet fully awake.

"Oh my sweet trainer," lamented Razor with a mournful face as a tear went down his cheek. "I'm so sorry. I failed you yet again. I just wasn't strong enough to take on that big brute."

"None of us were, Razor buddy," Camilla tried to cheer up. "That Samson was an absolute brute. I've never met a Pokémon with defenses so high."

"Even my psy attacks were useless," added Lillia. "The only one who stood a chance was Lance, and I'm glad that he's able to Mega Evolve."

Lance looked at the police as they picked up Arnold from the floor and hauled him away. The crowds cheered at the great show of force, though the party had turned awkward due to these turn of events. Saria was picked up from the floor and placed on a chair to recuperate until the effects of the chloroform wore off. This was a dire moment, and she was lucky to leave unscathed. Razor managed to get over feeling bad about his failure and tended to his trainers, sitting on a chair next to her and caressing her head with his large, webbed hands and bringing her close to his chest.

Lance was taken by this display of affection. It wasn't every day that a trainer and their Pokémon got this intimate. Razor seemed to not have any fear of being caught. All that mattered in that moment was Saria's safety. He truly cared for her, as any loyal Pokémon would. He wished that he could've given more of a beat down on Samson, but sadly the Greninja just was not strong enough. But it seemed that Razor would make do with simply guarding her, making sure she recovered and no one came near.

Saria eventually came to her senses. She was tougher than she looked, as she didn't she a single tear. This was a rather serious event, yet she withstood it well. And her friends and other partygoers would be sure to check up on her. The party kept going on, now with even more reason to celebrate despite the previous awkwardness from the fight. Justice prevailed, and this Halloween turned out to be quite the action packed and exciting event. It was time to put past troubles behind them and move on. It was now time to truly throw an awesome party.

Lance was looking around when he felt someone hug him from up front. He was thankful to see that it was Kiara who was hugging him. She planted her breasts right into his muzzle, and he felt the warmth of her bosom on his snout, a feeling that made him both uncomfortable and excited.

"You did such a wonderful job, Lance," said Kiara. "You're the best Pokémon a girl like me could ever have. All our training has really paid off."

Lance was too preoccupied with feeling the warmth from her breasts to notice her words well. His heart began to beat further, and his pulse began to increase. He was close to her heart that he could practically hear it beating. And the poor canine only allowed it, allowing his face to be buried in between his trainer's breasts as he felt her warmth become a part of him.

"No problem," he finally said. "I'm just glad I was able to help."

And so the party carried on. Saria was kept a watchful eye on in case someone else decided to try something as well. She sat next to Razor, with the two next to the flame grill so Jason and Camilla could keep a further eye on them. But other than that, the partygoers continued dancing and having fun.

Towards Midnight was when Kiara and Lance decided to head home. It was uncommon for them stay up super late, and so they decided to go home.

"Will you be alright with the other guys?" Kiara asked Saria.

"I'll be fine," replied Saria. "I've got my Froggy and enough security to guard a bank vault watching my back."

"Camilla and I've got her back, eh," added Jason. "My chickadee will sock it to anyone who tries any funny business. Justin and Lillia are going to be good back up, too."

"I don't normally fight or throw punches," said Justin, "but I'll protect my bros to the end. You can definitely count on me and Lillia to watch her back."

After saying goodbye to her friends Kiara and Lance finally left, the world seeming to be much more dangerous these days. First was the commotion going on with Poképhilia protests, and now serious criminals were out roaming the streets. It seemed that the times were not getting any nicer, though at least one of those violent criminals was now behind bars – with Arnold hopefully facing consequences.

But Lance still wondered about his emotions and feelings. As he walked down the street with Kiara he would quickly look over at her a few times. She certainly looked fetching in that Lucario Costume, and she was just simply beautiful in general. He wondered how things were to turn out in the future, and where these thoughts would take him.

As the two walked, the white star up above continued to glimmer a radiance of hope. It saw everything that was happening, and so it wanted to show that it was still watching over everyone. The light would not fade, and with it the hopes for love and peace would remain. Perhaps one day it would finally grant Lance his wish – just like it did to Razor previously.

And so the World of Pokémon carried on, with Hope in the Heart and with Serenity in the Soul...
