Life In Space Ch2
Here is chapter 2 of this new series set in space. There is some vore in this chapter. As always, please like or leave a nice comment if you want me to continue this series.
Jack couldn't believe his eyes; either he was insane and seeing things, or there was an actual ship out there approaching quickly. He watched as the massive ship grew as it got closer, until he could make out some strange markings on the hull of the ship. It was nowhere near English... or any language he had ever heard of. He watched in fascination as a door opened on the side, and a small craft departed from the big ship and headed towards him. Jack watched as it got closer. He felt excited at the thought of being rescued, but the thought hit him like a ton of bricks. 'What are they? Am I about to meet aliens... well, technically I am the alien... but what if they want to kill or enslave me?" he reached up and lowered the gold sun visor on his helmet to hide his face. He felt his heart thump hard in his chest as his ship shook and the mechanical whir of the door connecting to an airlock. He heard a hiss as the door opened. Standing in the doorway was a very tall, lean figure wearing a spacesuit and holding what looked like a weird-looking gun. The figure walked carefully into his ship, looking around his small vessel, then finally at him, raising their gun and aiming right at him. She yelled something that sounded like growling and hissing. He didn't move in fear that he would be killed. The intruder flipped a switch on the gun, a whining noise of the weapon charging filled the silence, and the captor growled again, but in different tones. He slowly raised his hands, palms out, showing he was unarmed. He had to move slowly because his ribs screamed at him. He groaned as the captor placed magnetic shackles on his wrists and jabbed him in the back with the weapon, urging him towards the airlock. He moved slowly because his body felt sore everywhere. Jack walked through the airlock. His captor was about a foot taller than he was, so every time the captor pushed him with the barrel, it was jabbing his shoulder and the back of his neck. Standing in the airlock, the door closed and sealed behind the two with a hiss. The door in front of them opened, and on the other side stood a 7-and-a-half-foot-tall male anthro tiger. Jack stood in awe at his first look at an alien species. The tiger stood, staring at Jack, his face bearing a striking resemblance to a feral tiger on Earth; the tiger's hands had four fingers and a thumb, gripping what appeared to be a tablet. The tiger walked up to Jack, making him feel tiny in comparison as he stood chest height to the feline. He looked away from Jack to his captor, and he made a chuffing noise mixed with subtle facial gestures. His captor removed their helmet, revealing a female anthro lion. She growled and purred at the tiger while gesturing towards Jack, some movements coming off as annoyed. The tiger looked at Jack and growled and chuffed, obviously talking to Jack. Feeling like things were about to escalate, since his captors seemed to be getting more annoyed by his lack of response, Jack motioned to the side of his head and shook it, hoping to convey that he either couldn't hear them or couldn't understand them; to Jack, either would work. The tiger's ears went back in annoyance, before a thoughtful look crossed the strange feline features, before his ears perked up and motioned for Jack to remove his helmet. Jack looked at the information on his visor; the helmet read the outside air as being the same as on Earth, but much cleaner. Jack slowly grabbed the release on his helmet seal and pulled the handle; a hissing of air escaping through the seal followed. He twisted the helmet to unlock it from the neck mount, the click of the release indicating he was free. Jack slowly removed the helmet. Both the lioness and the tiger jolted backwards. The tiger triggered his radio; he growled and chuffed into the receiver. An alarm blared, and doors closed and locked with a hiss, the room entering a state of negative pressure. Jack stood in confusion as more people entered the bay wearing full biohazard suits. He watched as the tiger and lioness were unceremoniously stripped of all their clothing and quickly brought into another room. Jack watched as a medical bed was stopped next to him, and the people in biohazard suits ushered him to lie on the bed. He groaned as he forced his body to move onto the bed, which, to his amusement, made him feel short. Once lying down, a white, plastic, tube-like tent covered his entire body and sealed at either end. He couldn't see anything through the material. Jack felt himself being moved around on the bed, hearing different animal noises, all sounding commanding and rushed. He felt the bed come to a stop and the noise of multiple people leaving the room. Jack heard a single person enter the room after what seemed like hours. The tent over him pulled down his body again, leaving him open to the strange environment. Everything looked sterile and futuristic, a hand moving to his chest to stop him from moving. Jack looked up to see another person in a biohazard suit standing over him, holding a syringe. The person inserted the needle into the side of his neck; the sharp pain made him groan, and the rush of fluid numbed his pain almost instantly. Jack noticed a window, and a female snow leopard stood on the other side. She wore a white tunic with four gold bars on the collar. She stood with her hands on her hips, her ears pushed back with an irritated look on her face, almost as if she was assessing an inconvenience. Jack looked back towards the person who just jabbed him in the neck with a needle. They motioned for him to sit up and remove the suit. Jack sat up slowly. Over the next long minutes, he removed the suit, the person gasped, and Jack looked down, his shirt was soaked in blood. Jack woke to the sound of beeping of medical devices, the smell of the sterile environment and blood surrounding him. He knew he was in a hospital, but couldn't for the life of him, he couldn't remember the accident that sent him here. All he thought about was when they would let him go home. He opened his eyes and looked outside, taking in the view of the stars as they sped by. He gasped, his chest feeling much better, as the memories flooded back. He watched a male wolf walk in wearing scrubs and a lab coat, reading a clipboard, and finally looking at Jack. His eyes widened, and he rushed over to him, his large hands feeling over his chest and checking the machines. "Hello, my name is Doctor Isen Howler. You have been treated for your shattered ribs and internal bleeding. How are you feeling?" Doctor Isen asks, his voice a low baritone, his tail giving a slow wag. "I... I feel okay. How am I understanding you?" Jack asks, noticing the doctor obviously understands him. "You were injected with nano bots, they act as a universal translator, don't worry, everyone has them," Isen replies. Just then, the female snow leopard walked into the room. The doctor straightened up, and she waved him off, and the wolf left the room. The snow leopard looked down at Jack. A cold chill ran up his spine as she stared into his eyes, her jaws tight, holding back a snarl. "So, you are our... guest," she says. Her voice, calm, almost cold, edged with an authority that made any defiance feel like a mistake. "M-my name is Jack Taldrin," Jack spoke, trying to mask his nerves. "Okay... Jack, where are you from?" She asked as she sniffed the air, smelling Jack's nervousness. She smirked. "I am from Earth," Jack replies, watching as she raises an eyebrow. "Where in the colonized planets is Earth?" she asks, her hand going to her hip above the holster. "Colonized planets?" Jack replied, hearing her let out a growl of annoyance, before she held out her hand to the side. A male cheetah wearing a white tunic with one gold bar quickly appeared, put a tablet in her hand, and disappeared again. She holds out the tablet, showing a 3d map of the planets. Jack looked, and there must have been over one hundred planets. She must have sensed his hesitation as she furrowed her brow and looked at the tablet. "Is your planet not there? And if you lie to me... You will be wishing you couldn't feel pain," she says, flexing her fingers, making her claws extend. Jack gulped and looked at the tablet again, still not able to find anything recognizable. "I am sorry, but I don't know where my planet is; it is not on this map," Jack replied. She looked at him, eerily calm, and put her soft hand on his forearm, her pads feeling a little rough against his skin, her claws extending enough for him to feel the wickedly sharp tips press into his skin. "You're telling me that you are from somewhere unknown to any of the coalition, and that you have no idea where your planet is located?" The cold way she spoke made Jack feel scared. He clenched his teeth and groaned as he felt her claws sink into his arm, hot liquid welling in the indents they created and streaming down onto the white sheets. "You must think I am an idiot if you think I am going to believe you are some unknown species sent alone on a spacecraft, shooting across space faster than the speed of light, just to 'Break down' in this convenient location." She snarled, her hackles raising slightly as she started to lose grip on her professional demeanour. Jack winced as he felt her claws scrape against his radius bone. "CAPTAIN!" A female husky yelped as she burst through the door, earning a glare from the snow leopard. "What is it, number two?" Iskra snapped back, the husky cowering slightly at the glare. "We followed the path his ship came from... he is from a planetary system that is nearly 200 light-years from our system... Captain, ma'am, he is an undiscovered alien species, and you are currently hurting him." The husky says, the snow leopard's claws retract instantly. "Alien species, you say, and that means that this is the first contact... oh shit," The snow leopard says, her ears splaying to the sides. "So does this mean I am not an enemy?" Jack asks, breaking the silence. "My apologies for the unprofessional reaction. We have been on the lookout for enemy spacecraft in the area. My name is Captain Iskra of the A.R.F Cutlass," she replies, a slight nervous edge to her voice. "Nice to meet you, Captain Iskra. What does A.R.F stand for?" Jack asks. "It stands for Allied Races Federation. The A.R.F is a federation of species that are employed to search for and discover new planets or systems. We train for years for the positions we hold and pride ourselves on being mostly peaceful." Iskra says, as if rehearsed. "When I arrived, why did everyone freak out and seal the room?" Jack sees Iskra smile at his question. "You are an unknown species; you probably have diseases we have never encountered. We do that for everyone's protection." The captain replies. The wolf walks back in and unhooks the iv's and wires, taking a glance at the claw marks in Jack's arm and rolls his eyes. The snow leopard looks from Doctor Isen to Jack. "Don't worry, Jack, you will be set up with a room and a meal card; you will be treated as a guest of honour." Captain Iskra says mostly to the door where the cheetah from before took off down the hall. "So, what will happen to me? Will you take me back to earth?" Jack asked, watching Iskra's face fall slightly. "Sorry, Jack, but whatever technology you used to get here is wildly dangerous and beyond our capabilities. You didn't travel at the speed of light; you were in a warp bubble. What took you mere minutes would take us well over 200 years, and that's IF we get up to lightspeed... so you are going to be with us for at least the foreseeable future." She responded softly, as if telling someone a family member had passed away. "I... I don't know what to say. I understand that I can't go home, but out here, I have nothing." Jack stated, mostly to himself, but he could see she felt bad for him. Just then, the male cheetah skidded to a halt outside the room, holding a folded gray tunic and a keycard for a room. "What does the gray tunic mean?" Jack asks, slowly sitting up in the bed, the sheets pooling around his waist, realizing he is not wearing any clothes and quickly collecting the pile from the cheetah. "It means that you are not an officer, but are to be treated like one." The snow leopard replied. He noticed Captain Iskra steal a glance down at his lap before looking back up into his eyes. A slight blush appeared on her face as her ocean-blue eyes met his brown eyes, then she focused on the wall. "Get changed and meet me outside this room. I will take you to your home for the foreseeable future. Oh, and second officer Kaelen, you will report to my office for your punishment." Captain Iskra said, regaining her composure. "P-punishment for what, captain?" Kaelen asks, her ears going back in a submissive motion. "You were right to interrupt, but you will be a captain someday; rushing around like that is unprofessional and something I would only expect from a new one-bar officer, not a three-bar officer like you." Iskra scolded. "Understood, Captain," Kaelen spoke softly. Iskra nodded and looked at the now clothed Jack, who was not keen on dressing in front of the three of them. Jack found that the new clothing fit as if it were tailored to him; the tunic felt soft and kept him at a comfortable temperature. Jack followed Iskra out of the room, watching her fluffy tail gracefully move to balance her steps. Iskra moved with purpose as she guided him through the ship, passing corridors, rooms, and open areas with living walls covered in flowers he had never seen before. Jack noticed shops and restaurants lining the main gathering area, looking more like a mall. Jack followed Iskra into an elevator that brought him to the top floor. "I am rooming on the top floor?" Jack asked, the snow leopard giving him a bewildered look. "You are a very important resident, you thought we would put you in the normal crew quarters?" She asked, thinking he was joking, but his reaction made her realize he was not used to being important. She stopped outside a solid wood door, taking Jack's keycard and scanning it on the door's keypad. With a beep and a click, the door opened, revealing a modest two-story room. The door opened into the living room. A spacious couch and a large TV caught his attention. To the right were a closet, an open kitchen, a wet bar, and a set of stairs. To the left of the door was a full bathroom, a bedroom, and a library. The entire outside wall is made of glass, giving a great view of the stars. The floor was made of what looked like dark marble, and upstairs were two bedrooms, one master bedroom with its own bathroom, wet bar, and a massive bed in the middle. Captain Iskra noticed Jack was stunned. She smirked and poked his arm, bringing him back. "So, what do you think?" she asked "I- I don't know what to say, other than thank you, but why is there more than one bedroom?" Jack asked, seeing her face go pink again. "Well, I don't know what humans do, but we are very... affectionate. Sex is quite normal between our species. Most likely, you will be approached with offers of relationships or just a quick release." She says calmly. "Right, so sex is common here," Jack states. "Is sex not common with humans?" she asks. "Well, it is common, just not openly talked about." He replies, feeling heat rise to his cheeks. "I will let you get settled. If you need anything, knock on my door; we are neighbours." Iskra says. "How do I earn money to buy things?" Jack asks. "You get an allowance based on your rank and any jobs you do. Your allowance is 2000 credits per day, and clothing and food from a replicator are completely free. And before you ask, yes, 2000 credits a day is a lot; most crew only make 500 credits per day with bonus credits for extra jobs. You can use the credits for handmade food or items on the ship, or they can be used on stations we stop at." She replies. "Thank you, Captain Iskra, for everything," Jack says as she looks into his eyes again. "Get some rest, Jack. You had a long day, and the chief engineer wants a meeting with you tomorrow." She replies before walking away, leaving Jack alone. Jack sighed and closed the door. He walked through the room, looking at everything, not believing that it was his new home. Jack scaled the stairs and entered the master bedroom. The floor was the same stone as the rest of his home. Jack stripped naked and collapsed onto the bed, the gel mattress feeling amazing after the last few days. Jack woke to the feeling of being watched. He opened his eyes to see a male lion standing in his room wearing a blue tunic. Jack yelled in surprise, and the lion walked towards him. "Hello, Jack, sorry for the scare, I knocked a few times and rang the doorbell. My name is Kairo, and I am your volunteer assistant. I will get you anything you need, do... anything," he says with a wink, his voice a soothing tone. Jack noticed his gray tunic was folded neatly with his pants on the bed. "You volunteered to be my assistant... why?" Jack asked. "Because it gets me out of the lower rank quarters, the extra pay is nice, and I get to be closer to you," Kairo replies. "Just so you know, I am not into men." Jack states, his tone stern. The lion just smiled back. "No worries, just know the offer is open, and I am a bottom," Kairo replies. Jack feels his face heat at the offer, the lion's scent tickling his nose, the smell of musk and a mild soap. The lion walks away, leaving the bedroom so that Jack can dress. Jack quickly showers, the hot water washing the grime away from the few days off earth. After getting dressed, he walks out of his bedroom, seeing the lion in his living room. "Jack, you smell nice. You have a meeting with the chief engineer after you have breakfast. Afterwards, your schedule is open." The lion says with a smile. "Thank you, Kairo," Jack says as Kairo goes to the door and opens it for him. Jack walks through and walks with the lion to the cafeteria. Jack walks into the cafeteria and stops; all talking and movement stop as they all stare at him. Kairo places a hand on Jack's shoulder in a comforting gesture. Everyone goes back to what they are doing, ignoring the alien with the lion. Jack walks up to the replicator and presses a few buttons, getting eggs, bacon, and potatoes, Kairo ordering the same. They both walk through the cafeteria, a tigress wearing a black tunic, waving at Kairo. "Oh, follow me, Jack. My friends are nice." He says, before walking over, Jack follows close behind. Kairo sits at the end of the table, leaving the only spot next to the tigress. Jack sits down between the two felines. The tigress looks at Jack and smiles, her fangs gleaming in the lighting. "So, you must be Jack. My name is Nyro, and I am part of security on the ship." Nyro speaks, her voice sounding like a purr. "Nice to meet you, Nyro," Jack replies, feeling less nervous. They eat in silence until a calm bell rings out. Jack watches as the room starts moving, everyone cleaning up and leaving in their respective work groups. Jack cleans up his stuff and follows Kairo to the elevators, entering one, and descending into the depths of the ship. The elevator stops, and the two walk to the engineering room. Jack stops as he hears shouting from inside. Kairo opens the door, revealing a tall male polar bear wearing coveralls and a tool belt. He was staring at a cowering male Lynx, who was currently holding a bent wrench. "HOW DID YOU FORGET IT IN THE ENGINE?" The polar bear yells before looking at Jack and Kairo. "Just what I need right now, what do you want, Kairo?" The polar bear growled, his voice deep and angry. "Hey, you big pain in the tail hole, you seem pissed, did someone accidentally make you work for once?" Kairo says, and silence follows as the two stare at each other, tension building to a breaking point before the polar bear bursts into a hearty laugh. "Kairo, you bastard, you know just how to make me laugh," the bear replies, a sigh of relief washing over the room. Jack looked at the wall of bear as he looked at Jack. "So, my name is Korr, and I am the chief engineer. Unfortunately, we must destroy your spacecraft because it is way too dangerous. I need your permission to do it." Korr spoke. "Yeah, I have no use for it anymore," Jack replied. "Good, it will be done soon. Nice to meet you, though, and a friend of Kairo's is a friend of mine. You need anything, consider it done, though I may require some... reimbursement, if you would be interested in trying bear meat," Korr says. Earning a chuckle from Kairo. "I- I am not into men," Jack says, Korr looking at him with a smug look. "That's too bad, I was really looking forward to some fun," Korr says before turning and grabbing the lynx by the tail before he could escape. "I am sorry, Korr, it was an accident. I will replace the Mmmph..." the lynx's words got cut off with a yelp as the polar bear lunged forward and shoved the feline's face into his cavernous pink mouth, his large teeth resting on the back of the lynx's skull, trapping him with his ears pinned back, thick drool coating the unfortunate feline's head. Jack watched in stunned horror as Korr's throat flexed with a deep resonant glurk as the feline's head disappeared, the lynx's head forming a distinct lump in Korr's throat. The lynx started to struggle, his paws grabbing, pushing and punching at the large predator's chest. Korr swallowed again, the lynx's shoulders now stretching the bear's jaws, the lump that was his head now slipping past the bear's collarbone and disappearing into the chest. Jack heard muffled cries coming from the bear's stomach. "Please, Korr, let me go." Jack heard the lynx plead, the voice echoing in the cavernous gut. Korr responded by swallowing again, the feline's stomach sliding past the jaws. The lynx started kicking weakly at the bear, a last attempt to escape as Korr tilted his head back, letting gravity do the work. Jack watched in stunned silence as the lynx's struggles grew weak and stopped, as his thighs and legs slipped easily into the bear's bulging throat. Soon, the feline's feet twitched as they entered the slimy, pink maw, the polar bear's jaws clacking shut, cutting the lynx off from the outside, finishing his unexpected meal choice with an audible gulp. Korr belched and patted his squirming gut. A quiet whimpering could be heard from beneath the layers of fat and white fur. Jack could see the outline of the lynx curled into a fetal position, and gurgling and groaning noises filled the quiet room. "You... ate him?" Jack asked, trying to understand what he just witnessed. Korr looked at Jack's pale, shocked face and gave a deep, bellowing laugh. "Sorry, I suppose that's the first time you witnessed someone get eaten, no worries, Jack, he will get to stay in there for a few hours stewing in my guts, maybe I will let him out later... maybe not, but if I don't, he will be reformed in a day or two," Korr explained, his stomach gurgling loudly in response. "Wouldn't that hurt, like... a lot?" Jack asked. "Not really, I hear it is like an itching sensation that gradually grows to a very slight sting, then you wake up in the bowels of the predator. It seems worse than it really is. Though... If you want to try it, you'll have to give me a few days to... expel this nuisance." He said, patting his gut. Jack watched the lynx shape move a little, curling tighter. Kairo placed a hand on Jack's shoulder, snapping him out of his stunned silence. "You okay, Jack? You will get used to this and a lot worse. Though I suppose for being your first actual day, this is quite a lot to take in." The lion said, guiding Jack to the engineering room exit. Jack followed Kairo to the elevator in silence. "I can't believe that just happened. Is it really that normal around here?" Jack asked. "Sir, that just scratches the surface, but from the sounds of it, Earth seems kind of boring... no offence," Kairo replied sheepishly. "Well, actually, I suppose you are right," Jack said as the elevator came to a stop, opening the door to the shopping area. Kairo led Jack through the crowd, seemingly on a mission. Suddenly, he stopped and ducked into a coffee shop. Jack followed close behind. The small, dimly lit coffee shop smelled of freshly roasted coffee beans. "You have coffee here?" Jack asked, surprised that there was something he could recognize. "Yeah, and this place does it the best," Kairo replied, ordering two coffees, the smiling female civet turning to pour them and handing them to Kairo. The lion thanked the civet and sat at the table with Jack, sliding the other cup over to him, the rich coffee scent reminding Jack of home. He took a sip, the familiar slightly bitter, acidic taste missing, leaving the best-tasting coffee Jack had ever tasted. "Wow! You were right, this is amazing, how does she make it taste so much better?" Jack asked, taking a longer sip. "Well, this place freshly roasts the beans daily, grinds them to order... oh and of course, the most important part, she extracts the beans from the fruit by digesting the fruit," Kairo stated, as Jack finished his cup. "What does digesting the fruit have to do with the coffee?" Jack asked, watching the civet washing a bowl of coffee beans. Then it dawned on him; he gulped and glared at Kairo. "Don't tell me the coffee beans... go through her?" Jack asks, watching the lion smirk. "Fine, I won't. But you liked the coffee, didn't you?" Kairo retorts. Jack rubbed his temples in annoyance. "I hate you so much right now," Jack says under his breath, earning a full grin from the lion. "Oh, sure you do, Jack. You say that now, but you will think differently when I am bent over your bed naked." Kairo replies. His tail stroked Jack's inner thigh. Jack glaring back at him, seeing him wink and blowing a kiss with a purr.
