Twist of Cain - Part 1
#1 of Twist of Cain
The school bus was almost empty of students. A few creatures, including a small, nerdy looking coyote were all that remained aboard. The driver, a grumpy looking rhinoceros, drove down the street of a modest looking residential area. Most of the houses were single story structures that had basements or crawl spaces below them. The bus slowly ground to a halt, tires squeaking, the dstinctive diesel engine winding down as it came to a halt near the end of the street. Opening the door, the grumpy rhino watched at the coyote picked up his backpack and walked down the aisle and down the steps. Finally, he was home.
Cain Carson, the small, nerdy looking coyote stared at the outside of his home for a moment, wondering how he was ever going to survive high school. It was only two weeks into the new school year, and already he had the uncanny feeling that it was going to be more like a four year prison sentence, and there would be no time off for good behavior. Sighing, he took the keys from his pocket and unlocked the front door. Everything inside the house everything looked just like it always did, mildly messy, usually with pizza boxes on the living room floor along with several beer bottles. Cain through his bag on the floor and went into the kitchen to get a garbage bag to clean up the mess. This routine had become so commonplace that it really didn't even phase him anymore. Cleaning up, he looked at the clock on the wall. It was almost four o'clock, and his Mom wouldn't be home for at least two more hours, so at least he could do his homework in peace and quiet.
Cain took the garbage bag outside and threw it in the trash can by the edge of the house. Looking across the street, he saw the Freeman kids playing outside. The three little fox kits, two boys and a girl ran around in the front yard, looking like they didn't have a care in the world. Cain tried to remember a time when he had been so young, so innocent, but that was almost another lifetime ago. He went back inside, ready to do his homework .
Grabbing his backpack, he walked back to his room, but not before going past his older brother's room. No matter how many times he tried, he still got chills every time he passed by it. He could still remember that day four years ago when he came home from school. His Mom was still at work, and he was hoping to play some videos games with Cassius. Not seeing him anywhere, he knocked on the older coyote's bedroom door, but there was no response. He knocked harder, thinking that Cassius might have accidentally fallen asleep, but again, no response. He knew his brother was home since his car was outside. Turning the doorknob, he poked his head inside, seeing Cassius lying on his bed, but that wasn't the only thing the younger coyote noticed. The bed and walls were splattered with blood, and a handgun was lying next to his older brother. Screaming, Cain tried rousing his brother from sleep, unable to accept that he was dead. He couldn't remember how long he'd been crying before he called the police to inform him of the tragedy. It was a day he'd never forget.
Feeling a chill run down his spine from recalling such agonizing memories, he went into his room to do his homework. Throwing his backpack down on the floor, he unzipped it, taking out his math homework, sitting down at his computer desk. He took off his glasses before opening up the geometry book. The small coyote was great at academics, having earned straight As throughout his entire school years. Needing some music to help him study, he opened iTunes on his desktop, putting the library on shuffle. He wasn't in the mood for anything specific, he just needed the background noise to kill the still, uncomfortable silence. Cain was fortunate enough to have study hall as his last period, so he only had half an hour or so of the geometry assignment left before he was done. With the music playing loud, he was still able to concentrate on the geometry, getting done almost half an hour after he started. Throwing the textbook and notebook back in his bag, Cain went back to his computer, shutting off the iTunes library, clicking on the Firefox browser he used to surf the web.
Cain might have been a nerd, but he was going through the same thing all the other boys and girls at school were, the transition from child to adult. With that came the slow realization that what he had between his legs wasn't just for urinating, but also for the purpose of procreating. Cain went to the bookmarks on the compute, selecting one of his favorite sites, "Cumming Canines". Clicking on the bookmark, the monitor displayed numerous canines, male and female in a myriad of sexual acts. He clicked on one of the featured videos. In it, a large, muscular coyote was in bed with two female coyotes, switching between the two, and fucking them roughly. Cain unzipped his pants, taking his already hard cock out from inside his underwear, rubbing it slowly, transfixed by the sight of the alpha male banging the two females. It didn't take much imagination for the young, nery coyote to imagine himself in the same position as the steroidal coyote on the computer monitor. There were plenty of kids his age who'd already lost their virginity, but it seemed like it was always the jocks, the cools kids who were getting laid, never anyone like him. Never a nerd. The coyote's breathing intensified as he rubbed harder on his cock, seeing the large male changing from one female, then back to the other with ease. Cain wanted so badly to be the one who was in the video; more than anything possible. He heard the moaning of the females, seeing them tending to each others needs, regardless of which one was being fucked at the time. Cain closed his eyes. He was there, right now. He no longer required any visual stimulation to take him to his climax, rubbing frantically on his cock, gritting his teeth as he shoot his load onto the carpet below him. Feeling the tension being released, he took some tissues from the box on the desk, cleaning himself up. He zipped his pants up, threw away the tissues into the wastebasket in his room. As good as it felt to cum, he felt just as empty, just as alone as before the video started. Frowning, he closed the window on his computer, turned off the monitor and went out to the living room.
Sitting in the living room all by himself, Cain watched television, waiting for his mother's arrival. He was in the middle of a program when he heard the door open and close. Turning around, he saw his mother Candice enter the living room. Not surprising at all to him, the female coyote had pizza boxes and a twelve pack of beer in her paws. Typical.
"Hi, Mom," said Cain. "How was your day?"
"Fine," said his Mom, paying almost no attention to him. She'd taken no notice of how Cain had cleaned up the mess that she had created, but that was normal for her. Candice returned to the living room, taking control of the TV remote from where Cain was sitting. Flipping through the channels, she settled on some home renovation show that Cain didn't exactly care to watch, but he wasn't going to argue with his mother.
"I got an A on my Science test today," said the boy.
"Hooray for you," said Candice, twisting the cap off her beer bottle. It was her first one for the night, but it certainly would not be her last. Candice did this every night.
"I'm not sure if I'm going to like high school, Mom," said Cain. "I'm having a hard time getting used to everything."
"You'll be fine," she said, not even looking at him.
"I hope so," said Cain, lowering his head.
Mother and son kept watching television together, hardly a word being said by either of them. Cain ate his share of the pizza, seeing his mother go through beer after beer. Each time she got up to go to the frig, she was more tipsy. It wasn't until she was halfway through the twelve pack that she noticed Cain's look. The fourteen year old coyote boy had an expression of misery about him. Candice twisted the cap off her sixth beer, letting it fall on the living room floor.
"What's wrong with you?" she asked.
"Nothing," said Cain, trying not to upset his mother.
Candice looked back at her beer bottle, then back at her son. Her nostrils flared, her lips curled in disgust. "Oh, what's really wrong, huh? You think that because I have a few beers each night I'm some kind of alcoholic, don't you?"
"No," said Cain, lying.
"Don't you give me that," said Candice, knocking over the empty beer bottles as she stumbled towards her son. "I want you to look me in the eye and tell me you don't think I'm an alcoholic."
Terrified, Cain watched as his mother stood over him. He could smell the horrid combination of pepperoni pizza and cheap beer being breathed on him. He hated that. The smell of alcohol was insufferable to him, having smelled it countless times before. He looked into his mother's eyes, trying not to show her any fear.
"I do not think you're an alcoholic, Mom," he said, unable to keep his voice from shaking.
Enraged, Candice almost fell over as she went back to fetch an empty beer bottle. Cain covered himself as his drunk, pissed off mother threw the bottle at him. It landed on his right elbow. Though it didn't break, the pain was enough to make the boy cry. Madder than ever, Candice came over to Cain, slapping him hard.
"You've got some nerve," she yelled. "First your bastard father leaves me for some male--tells me that he's really gay. Then your brother has to go kill himself in his room! Are you going to kill yourself? Huh? Are you?"
"No," said Cain, his face covered in tears from the verbal and physical abuse he had endured. "Please, stop it!"
"Oh," said Candice. "I'm not finished with you yet! You think you can look at me like I'm just trash? Do you? You ungrateful little bastard. You're going to end up just like your father or brother, either dead or a disgusting faggot!"
"Stop it!" he screamed even louder. He'd had enough by now. Jumping to his feet, he ran to his room, locking the door. Only moments later he heard his mother knocking at the door, ordering him to come out and calling him all manner of names. Cain went to his bed, covering his face in a pillow as he cried his eyes out.
"Fine," she screamed from out in the hallway. "You just stay in there, but just you wait until you step one foot out the door."
Traumatized as he was, Cain knew that his mother would immediately return to drinking. She always did. No doubt when he stepped outside his room, she either be too drunk to chase after him or passed out from the effects of the beer. By morning, her head would be pounding from a hangover and she would be in too much pain to scream and hit him. Cain just staid there in bed, crying and wishing things would go back to the way they used to be before everything had gone so terribly wrong in his life. Four more years of this until he could leave for college. He wondered how he was ever going to survive.
