Chapter IV: Day, Part Two
#4 of The Old Rainforest
Twilight now an enemy returns from the void and stalks our heroes as they face down him and the soldiers walking through the tunnels.
Chapter Four: Day, Part Two
Dustin held still, frozen to the ground and seemingly stuck in a despicable relationship to Twilight. The Kagen shark smiled and gently laid his teeth against the Outsider's neck and slid them in, summoning blood from the shark. Dustin felt his body go numb as seemingly some sort of effect was placed on his body. The Kagen shark smiled and pulled back his glowing tendrils.
Twilight backed off Dustin's body and stood up, looking down on the Outsider with glee as he smiled. Dustin tried to move, but it felt like a hundred pound weight was put over his body. He was stuck and he couldn't move, he was practically paralyzed, this wasn't something he couldn't correct on his own, he was putting in commendable effort but found his body just stuck.
"Now then look at that, isn't this just a candid story for the newspapers. Who wouldn't want to hear some sort of story about how the Outsiders; equitable in this situation are completely defeated by a single Kagen." Twilight said as he leaned down and the glowing tendrils lengthen, sliding down onto the ground and extending. Dustin shivered as he felt them slither under his back and wrap around his torso.
Twilight backed up and lifted up Dustin, the shark easily lifted into the air by the gooey extensions and stuck as the curse kept him in place. Twilight giggled and seemingly did a dance on the floor as he celebrated his victory against the Outsider. Dustin felt stuck, and he couldn't make a sassy comment or rebuttal the Kagen, he felt his lungs burn.
"Ah look at you, how long can you hold onto your breath shark? Slowly my poison slithers around your body and you will be stuck there for three more minutes; will you be able to not breath that long?" The Kagen said at this point being the egoist in their conversation, boasting his seemingly assured victory to the Outsider.
"Now then let's hear a story." The Kagen said smiling as he kept Dustin lifted up in the air and swallowed a little bit of blood on his mouth. "You see back in the day, each individual universe had their own set of Kagen, each one with Twilight and a Bright and a Dawn, each spread over the multiverse."
"And then interrupting our peace was a rouge Bright, seemingly with the ability to jump from universe to universe and then these idiot Outsiders joined together and decided that the Kagens were a threat to each universe and then they had a genius idea." The Kagen said smiling as he walked around and extended his tendrils, keeping Dustin in the same place as he seeming paced around the room.
Dustin's checks started to turn purple as he started to freak out, mental processes were going off the charts and he had no idea what to do. Dustin tried to huff for air, he couldn't feel anything entering his lungs. His mouth was seemingly glued shut and all in all the Kagen didn't know what to do.
"They could of compromised or asked for our permission but instead we had to deal with ourselves suddenly smacked together with millions of our other versions, all personally different and find a balance between our personalities, sadly it seemed that the one Twilight that stayed behind would have pushed me more to the good side." Twilight said as he walked away and turned his back to Dustin, normally the Outsider shark would have found a way to puncture his foot through the shark's spine, but it seemed there would be no bone snapping today.
"Instead it seems that the whole sum of all Twilights in the universe is not neutral, but instead I'm a fucking psychopath, I wonder if all the other Kojis in the multiverse would dare to look at me." Twilight said as he thought to himself, the Kagen smiled for a second and seemed to stare at the ground. "The war was hard; you don't know what I did."
"And you ask what I did, well then imagine and Earth like this but instead the Kagens and the Riftwalkers appeared in Carson City and all seemed well and maybe we would just have found peace if not for Elijah, he killed all the Outsiders and from there you could smell the trouble in the air." Twilight said as he put his hand forward and suddenly a flame appeared in his hand, regeneration energy floating around.
"The Kagens did it, we did it all and scorched the Earth, all the Riftwalkers and all the Kagen warriors died, from then we hoped from universe to universe hoping to out run them but it seemed that our time was running out. I wish I could say that the first scorched Earth was the last time but it became a pass time." Twilight said as he seemed looked up, the flames in his eyes. It seemingly had burnt into his mind and his face turned to a frown as he spoke of it.
"And all in all, we are fighting for survival, we need to survive, the Kagens need to live and then the multiverse will be safe. We can't debate with the Riftwalkers they just attack us, we can't talk less to them and they don't like if we smile at them, we are diametrically opposed foes. All the doors are closed, and all the Riftwalkers want is unprecedented power, and want all Kagens dead and trapped to their own.'' Twilight said as he looked at Dustin, smiling at the shark, he seemingly expected an answer, so instead he snapped his finger and the Shark would find his mouth unglued.
"You need to stop this, you need to accept the Kagen's end as the future, just allow yourself to run through your regenerations and consider yourself lucky that the Riftwalkers give you this space!" Dustin yelled as he tried to draw attention to himself, maybe Colin would notice him but it seemed right now he was stuck in the air, looking down at the Kagen holding him up.
"I don't appreciate that, watch your mouth boy; those stupid Riftwalkers are birds of a feather and keep attacking us, still they don't let up, they haven't attacked here because this is the center of our remaining territory. Why else would one of the weakest Kagens be placed here, little chance of attack." Twilight said smiling as he caught Dustin on a question. And with that Dustin kept his mouth closed and looked at the psychotic shark, smiling with his fangs out.
"And why do need to fight against us, leave this universe alone and go out and fight the Riftwalkers. No wonder you don't have any chance of surviving and if you want to lengthen your life I suggest your take arms." Dustin said as he smiled and turned back on Twilight. Twilight smiled and smacked the Outsider; Dustin frowned as he looked back.
"Don't you say that, I am a veteran of the Kagen-Riftwalker war and simply said maybe you should keep your mouth shut fit and keep your fits of passion inside your mouth; I am doing the best I can. I am going rouge, the Kagen Empire has no idea what it is doing and I will return to them with an army and let someone competent take over." Twilight said as he looked at Dustin, knowing that he didn't tell the complete truth, but he would at least let the shark have an answer.
"My brother, you're on his side and for all this world is concerned they are on his side as well, he is with the Empire still and by extension so are you and so is this entire world, so if I have to make a point by controlling an entire Earth, then I will and when I return. Well when I return they will say I am strong." Twilight said as he smiled and lowered Dustin to the ground, seemingly ready to conquer the Earth.
"No they will say you are weak, you need to convince the Earth of your zeal if you want them on your side. If you wish for your zeal to be filled with the Earth then you might find this planet will be less then kind to you and your plans." The shark said as suddenly, Twilight yelled out. The shark yelled and his tendrils were pulled back into his body. The Kagen fell on the floor and was knocked out.
"Take that you idiotic Kagen!" Colin stood and looked with a smile as he looked at the freed Dustin, the shark fell on the floor, his body still stuck. Dustin stood still and wondered how much longer it would last. As Colin grabbed him and pulled him towards the steps, he found his body unfroze and the shark stood up. Dustin looked at Twilight and his back was red, maybe it was weak spot, on their back.
"Ok, maybe a bit more trouble than we thought but you know." Dustin said as he stood over Twilight and looked at his back. Suddenly his neck started to twitch and then a giggle from his mouth started. The shark's arms moved and his legs slid under his body as he gained footing on the floor of the building, and standing up the two Outsiders backed up.
"Oh then well you think you all are going to defeat men, because I will become more trouble for you stupid unevolved fish!" Twilight said as, not turning back towards them and instead raising his hand. The building shook as he raised his hand and the organ glowed red. Twilight walked forward, keeping his hand up as he walked over to the window and looked out onto he ruins of the battle field.
"What the hell are you doing?" Dustin asked as he backed up, hearing a ghostly moaning echoing through the battlefield. Backing up the shark looked down onto the floor and tried to see what was happening. He was blindsided, the Kagen shark had another power to use against them. What kind of trick would the Kagen play this time?
"You know a key weakness of the human race?" Twilight yelled to them as the Outsiders backed up and they turned the corner. Facing the entrance of the door, Dustin was ready to make a dash for the door but then suddenly something rose, it was black and red and his stomach dropped as he realized that it was the armor of a Neuroseeker. "The dead vastly outnumber the living, face me Shark. I am the vampire Kagen, heh, I wonder if brother got these upgrades as well. I guess he would be too much of a pussy to use them, always fighting for the good."
"Can you see them?" Dustin said referring to Colin, pointing forward and guiding the lizard's eyes towards the dead Neuroseeker. Colin looked and as the lizard's eyes lowered he seemed scanned the horizon and as that happened Dustin realized that the lizard had no idea what was happening. It was the situation with the mutants again. "No well that's a problem."
"What the hell is happening, I can't see anything, the dead outnumbering the living, did he raise them?" Colin asked, Dustin could feel the lizard shaking and wished that Elias had joined them and not ran away. They needed the Kagen shark and his energy blasts. Dustin bent his fingers around and started to splash the water of the nearby water way and hoped to summon it to him.
"Yes, but this was a Neuroseeker battle field, they're all over and there is a massive pile, so he has the army he killed." Dustin said as he realized that was kind of bad for them.
"Great, ok well then Dustin you lead." Colin said as he fundamentally said that he was going to be useless in this situation.
"Well then time to rise up, why fight when you can..." Dustin said as he reached his shoulder and clicked a few buttons. Suddenly a perception filter deception was ended on his back and two angelic pairs of wings appeared on his back. The shark yawned and opened his wings, the end of feathers burnt still but healed more, maybe this time he could take flight.
"Careful don't fly to high, you might become an Icarus." Colin said warning as he grabbed onto Dustin's large shoulder and grappled on, not wanting to left behind or worse, fall off into a pile of a dead army that he couldn't see. Dustin smiled and stepped out of the building, looking between the paths that were set up between the building, the decomposing warriors walked towards them at an unhealthy pace.
Dustin opened his wings and started to flap, gaining height as he started to push air against his body. Colin moved over, trying to keep the center of mass as center as possible, god help them if they started to lean to the left. Dustin groaned, unable to talk as he exerted his wing power and started to fly at full force.
Flapping his wings every half-second, the two of them floated for a second as Dustin flew up into the air and started to gain speed. Colin could see Dustin's aura, it was filled with blue, while he couldn't see it, Colin knew that Dustin was smiling right now at his accomplish.
From the building, smog was released and seemingly a layer of smog was spread over the battlefield. Dustin continued to fly through it as he looked for a high spot to land on. Colin could feel it in Dustin's breath, the carbon dioxide was chocking his lungs and he knew that the shark wouldn't be able to fly with him for much longer. Yet they lingered in the sky as Dustin continued to fly, still slowing down as his wings weakened.
Dustin coughed and then like that his focus was snapped and the shark plummeted to the ground. The two let out a scream of pain as they crashed into pile of rubble and their flight had ended. Dustin stood up and folding in his wings, he looked around and they were seemingly trapped.
"Which way is the water, then we know which way to go!" Colin said to Dustin as the shark coughed again and seemingly stood still for a second as the shark regained his breath. Focusing for a second, Dustin's eyes were lost for a second and then he focused back on the situation that they were facing. Looking around Dustin raised his hand and wiggled his fingers.
"Ok, we're closer but I have no idea, it's this way." Dustin said as he turned towards the water and started to walk, and like they were in a shitty Nintendo 64 game about a superhero who might fly, suddenly a massive wall of rubble popped in and Dustin found himself confused. "Or not."
"Well then go around it, it's not a lake we can go around." Colin said as Dustin turned and continued to walk forward on the path and then they heard grunting from there head. Standing still, a zombietroopers popped in and walked forward at them, limping as it walked forward and intended to attack them. Dustin looked at it and wondered how many were raised; they could be facing at least two hundred.
Reaching to his side, Dustin opened his safety pot and summoned the water from it and floated it in his hand as he froze it in his hand. Forming an icicle in his hand, Dustin held it still for a second as he tried to feel it weight. Throwing it forward, he guided it with his power and it hit the head of the Neurotrooper, making a gory scene that he only hoped Colin could see. Pushing the icicle forward, he felt it resisting against another body and then another and then another as the ruins were stained red again.
Dustin pulled the icicle back and grabbed it in his hand as the ice flew into his hand and he gripped onto it. Dustin walked forward and quickly heard the moaning again, as they seemingly moved parallel to the water. Dustin looked for a way out from this parallel route but found nothing.
He heard a groaning again and wondered what kind of zombies he was dealing with. And then feeling the side, Dustin felt an opening on the wall and threw himself through it, grabbing Colin before they had to face more Zombie Neurotroopers.
Dustin ran forward, feeling unopposed through the smokescreen and felt the water getting closer and then popping in he saw the bridge, running forward, he knew that it was controlled from this side of the waterway. Looking over, he saw the bridge held down by chains, some sort of spring on the side pushing it up.
Dustin looked at the chain and as he and Colin stepped on it, he threw his icicle again and snapped right through the metal chain. Suddenly the bridge slipped out from under them and they tumbled to the other side of the sewer and found themselves in a clear side of the sewer.
"Oh god I think we made it." Dustin said as he watched the Neurotroopers walk through the fog and towards them, the raised bridge posing a bit of problem for them. Dustin giggled a bit and then brought his hands up to his head and waited a moment to hold in his breath. "So then Twilight what else do you have, good luck over there!"
"Well then if that is a challenge, consider you and the whole of New York on warning because you do not just simply insult a Kagen God and expect to get away with it, so beware Outsiders and tell your citizens to except something to come of this." Twilight said from the other side of the fogged bridge and then laughed as he disappeared back into the fog.
...
"Oh god I am a vampire, I am everything horrible, I killed all those people and everything, why would the Kagens overloads do this to me." Elias said flying through the sky. Flying at top speed through the night, he seemingly had a crisis of faith as he suddenly found himself questioning the motives of the Kagen overloads. All he did and all he fought for was put into question as he wondered what it all meant to him.
He wondered what the hell was with the Kagen Overloads, his hands fidgeted as he flew though the sky and wondered what the hell was the catch as he passed between a building and why did he have to become a vampire, and then suddenly a voice appeared in his head and it sounded dark and evil, ominous and evil sounding.
"Well then you want to know what the catch is, the catch is that, the catch is that if you want your race to continue on you chose this option and fight against the idiots that threaten us." The voice said from inside his head, Twilight looked confused barely missing a flock of birds as he flew past them, he didn't need to land in the Hudson today. "Oh I'm sorry, well if it isn't me, I wasn't sure if you'd ever figure that I was here. Would you notice the little bump on your neck?"
"Well then are you a multiform, something that is inherently evil, what sort of bet did you have to lose to submit yourself to the Kagens?" Elias said as he flew through the sky and then his eyes flashed red. He realized the Multiform might have had just as much control over his body as he did, if so then it was a fight.
"Well then you do know we've lost, we've been breed by the Kagens, they kept us living and made sure that we would live for them and we would be able to serve them, so we do what we have to." The multiform said in his head, as Elias's felt his body return to its proper control. Elias flew forward and continued as he approached his house.
"Well then I don't like the sound of this, I am going to contact the Overlords. See what they say, I don't need you and you've made me do somethings that I wouldn't like to remember, so then if I don't need you then I will get rid of your for a better Kagen." Elias said as he kept his wings and slowly closed them onto the ground and landed. Landing on the ground, he walked forward and looked forward.
Walking into his apartment, he wondered where Colin was, he had to be home so was he still sleeping. Not wanting to interrupt his love's sleep, the Kagen instead walked to the side and walked into an empty room. Sitting down on the ground, Elias closed his eyes and focused. He needed all of his energy in order to summon the astral projects through the universe wall.
But they came in like the universe was covered in butter; seemingly the vampire in his head laughing told him that he had something to do with the ease of the action. Elias stood still for a second and wondered what they were going to say and what they wanted to do, would they call him back to the war.
"Ah yes, Bright you've summoned us, well then how interesting at this hour, but we had a feeling you of all would call. So then how is the vampire in your neck, would you like to shoot yourself already, because you know they come with enough regeneration energy for a few more." Dawn said as he smiled and showed his new draconic wings opening. It seemed to be now a mix of dragon and the shark's own vampire wings.
"You know how this works, tell me why this harebrained plan is going to work and then I tell you how this is really going to work and why you need to stop this before you get all killed." Elias said as he sat down in his spot, the other Kagens smiled as Elias sat down in his brother's spot and looked at Dawn, they were standing face to face and now what would they do?
"Well then watch this." Dawn said as he stood up and walked forward, suddenly a portal opened up and Dawn suddenly went from hologram as he seemed passed through the portal and became a real person. The other Kagens whispered among themselves.
"Dawn I like your new eyes, though I can't remember if they were like that before, so then have you always been a blood sucking beast because something tells me that you've had practice sucking before." Elias said smiling as he opened his wings and so did Dawn, matching Elias. Their wings touched and both of them pushed against the other. This was a battle of ideals and dreams and Elias couldn't lose this.
"Please skip the formalities, we need this, this will find Twilight, the evil can cancel his own out and we need to do all we can to stop Twilight right now, or else then this council might find itself wiped out. Think about it this way, one day you will be fighting Twilight in public and he will freeze you can thank us in advance." Dawn said smiling as he stepped forward and pushing against Elias, the shark backed up as the shark found his ideals compromised.
"You know are you going to sink to level you know how this goes, all the genocide you wanted to commit against the people of the Earth and you know sink back to that level, all the Scorched Earths and the war, why can't you just give up, why can't you just let us die our natural deaths?" Elias said giving them an outburst as a red wave appeared around his body. Dawn smiled and backed up knowing that he got the Kagen to push himself.
"Because we still have some lose ends to close, when that happens then eh Riftwalkers can invade our universe and have all the fun with us but for now we have still want to live, let us burn off some regenerations." Dawn said as he grabbed the shark's shoulder and leaned in, Dawn kissed Elias's nose and then backed up, spreading out his arm and walking backwards.
The dragon disappeared back into the portal and crossed his arms, the entire Kagen council disappearing from the room and leaving Elias alone as the shark was left alone to deal with his feelings. Elias walked around the room and seemingly had a lot of his mind. Elias took a second to breathe and sat down, focusing his seemingly increased mental power.
Before him a hologram appeared and it was of his own vampire self, wings out, fangs out and claws. His face looked pale and red vessels ran across his race, Elias examined himself for a second as he seemed decided to judge himself. His vampire counterpart laughed a bit as it took control of the hologram.
The vampire stood up and started to float, it seemingly didn't need to walk around and followed Elias. Blocking out all mental stimuli that could influence, Elias pushed his arms out and a black background appeared around them, all sounds from the still busy New York night disappeared.
"Oh interesting, where did you learn this from." The vampire said as he landed on the other side of the field and stood facing Elias. The shark started to pace and they started to circle around each other, two balanced forces orbiting each other and facing off against each other. Elias's wondered if he should tell the vampire counterpart the answer.
"Benji." Both of them answered as the mental image of the shark appeared next to them as both of them imaged the shark in their head. Elias's eyes closed and wondered what was happening in the back of his head. "Well then you know what I know and I don't think I need to know much about you."
"Bitforst Bridge." Elias said as suddenly he got a mental image of floating in a tank, looking through frosted glass. Suddenly a mechanical hand manipulated over from the edge and it grabbed the multiform, a portal formed another was in its hand.
"Well then look at this, aren't you just a little multiform you just arrived and you came all this way; well then let's take a break." Elias said as he sat down and took a breath, wondering what they would do. Both of them breathed for a second and looked at each other. Waiting for a second both of them gathered their thoughts as they sat down and looked at each other.
...
Standing across from the bridge, suddenly a shadow stepped out and walked forward. Dustin backed up as he realized they should have made a dash for the tunnels, and like that six tendrils shot towards them, wrapping around the bridge and grabbing onto it. The smog cleared and like that on the other side Twilight revealed himself as the one lowering the bridge.
"Do you think it will be that easy Outsiders, please you're going to have to do more work than that in order to trap me over here!" Twilight yelled as he backed up, firing two more tendrils behind him. Grabbing onto a building and giving him tension as the Kagen shark forcefully pulled the bridge down.
"Well then if it is a fight you want?" Dustin said as he quickly formed a stratagem inside his head. The bridge creaked as it's springs were pulled back down. Twilight walked backwards, pulling with his tendrils as the bridge was lowered again. Dustin looked down and grabbed the water from the water way. Summoning it up, the shark held it and then threw it forward.
A seemingly deadly half-circle of icicles flew towards Twilight and his army of zombietroopers. A layer of the army fell and Dustin looked satisfied, until popping out from the still remaining layer of smog another layer of zombietroopers appeared and another, they just kept coming and coming, marching at that methodically slow pace.
"Now then Outsiders let see how much you can take with my warriors!" Twilight yelled out and he pulled the bridge down to the ground, much strain being put on his back and tendrils. And like that the mechanism on the bridge broke, the springs snapping and the bridge falling into place as gravity took a hold of it.
"We don't need the bridge's defenses anyway because I have the feeling no one wants to find themselves over here lest they risk dying like an idiot." Twilight said smiling as he walked forward across the bridge and approaching the two Outsiders. Dustin backed up pulling Colin back as they had to decide whether to make a run for it this time or to fight against the Kagen and his army of undead.
"Fine then if you want to fight Kagen then we will duel to the death!" Dustin yelled as he reached down and grabbed water. Pulling it up into his hand, he suddenly engulfed his body in it and his body started to change. His body turned into water and then as Dustin jumped up, his body froze and he seemingly entered his ice mode...
Now with unlimited water on his side, Dustin opened his hands and water started to flow out. Opening his wings, he started to flap the now ice wings and whipping them forward ice feathers flew forward. The ice darts flew forward hit some of the undead. Running forward the shark ran at the Kagen and the battle started.
Dustin grabbed the vampire and started to freeze him in his hand, the Kagen struggling as the larger shark lifted him up into the air and the air around them started to frost. The vampire struggled as Dustin found a weakness and then he threw the Kagen shark away.
As Twilight flew back through the buildings, disappearing into the retreating layer of smog, Dustin ran forward. This was his shot; this was what he had in order to win against the Kagen. Running forward at full speed Dustin formed two icicle daggers in his hand and twisted them around, ready to stab some Zombie Neuroseekers.
Dustin kicked a zombietrooper back, his foot nearly going through the knee of the dead man before stabbing him in the head. Dustin focused on another and started to slice through them, going for the head. Barely wondering if it was the right thing to do, Dustin started to fight through the armies of hell as it seemed and knocked them down a side.
Smiling Dustin grabbed the water behind him and seemingly threw a tidal wave past him, freezing some of the water as it flew forward through the ruins and towards the zombies. As the ice and water traversed through the buildings grabbing all it could and knocking the troopers back. Raising his hand Dustin froze the water and seemingly from a wall.
"Well then that should keep them trapped, shouldn't melt for a while." Dustin said and maybe he should have been a bit smarter with it as suddenly the wall started to shake. And with a groan he turned around and knew that he would have to face the Kagen again. The ice exploded into a thousand pieces and landed over Dustin and the battlefield.
"God will you just give up already, can't you just let yourself die a justified death or at least be trapped in ice for a few generations and then come back to haunt my kids!" Dustin, walking forward and opening his hands said. Gathering the water pouring out of his palms, he seemingly formed two balls of ice in his hands and he prepared to throw them forward.
And then the Kagen jumped forward, and Dustin countered him, slamming the two balls of ice into his body. Seemingly a feat of nature, the Kagen using his fist, slammed it into the ice and cracked through it. Dustin backed up as the Kagen approached him, he was worried, the Kagen looked ready to murder him. And then Twilight ran for Dustin, covering both the Kagen and the Outsider in a blue light. Dustin landed on the ground as he felt Colin fall underneath him and then suddenly the sewer was gone.
...
Dustin opened his eyes, and no longer the rotting smell of the sewer was in his nose and instead hot dogs filled his mind set. Looking around it was still night, so at least he didn't waste all night fighting the Kagen but as he looked around he heard the sound of car honks in his ears. And he realized the three of them had teleported into the middle of a still busy New York street.
"We need to get out of here, now!" Quickly grabbing Colin, Dustin pulled the two of them over to the sidewalk. Twilight stood up and looked around at the city, seemingly his first look at it since he transformed from Octavius. The Kagen shark opened his hands and suddenly a massive energy ball formed in it, the sound repulsive like scratching a blackboard.
The cars quickly realized what was happening and instead of honking, quickly evacuated the only way they could, around the Kagen overlord. Dustin watched and knew that now he was stranded from water, he didn't have any and he wasn't going to be using hotdog water. So right now the options somehow seemed pretty dim compared to the dark and smoggy sewers.
"Get away from them you asshole!" And that is how miracles happen, suddenly from the ground a massive root shot up. The massively green beanstalk growing out of the ground surprised Dustin. It was cracking the concrete around it and throwing some cars off path as they were knocked away. Twilight however had the brute of it as he was shot up into the air.
And then Dustin saw another miracle, Treehugger standing on the front of the street and guiding the beanstalk into the sky. Seemingly the superhero had finally gotten out of his base and was capturing criminal scum again. Twilight flew into the sky and then the beanstalk started to move closer and closer to a building never arresting its motion.
Twilight was smacked into the building, the right side of his body talking the whole of the damage as he was knocked through windows and his shoulder hitting metal beams. Dustin wondered if that was going too far, but decided against that moral argument for today. And then as he reached the apex of the building, Twilight stood still for a second as the plant stopped growing.
"I figure I at least owe your old man at least one. We fought together and he was a good, no great man!" Treehugger said as he manipulated his fingers, Colin smiled as he watched Treehugger return the favor and then throw the Kagen, slamming him into a building and breaking more glass. Dustin looked up in amazement at the seemingly large path of destruction up the building.
Somehow the Kagen recovered quickly and standing at the top floor of the other building he looked down on the Outsiders and frowned, grabbing his shoulder and trying to control the blood that was flooding out onto his jacket. And then with his left hand raised seemingly something strange happened. The plant started to wither, its body turning to brown and its frills and vines all shrinking down.
"He's draining it of water, stay away it might fall onto someone!" Treehugger yelled to them as he started to pull the plant back into the ground, but seemingly dealing with a hundred story plant was a bit much for him as well as the planet started to sway in the cold wind that was found at those altitudes.
And then looking down as the vine seemingly fell on the ground, Twilight felt accomplished with what he did and like that disappeared. He found himself back in the sewerway and walking over the bridge, he figured that the bridge was more for the protection of passersby, seeing no reason that should change; Twilight raised his hand and raised the bridge back up. The bridge creaked back into place and it stayed raise.
"Now then my soldiers of idioiticness today we are going to change the future, and we are going to make sure all goes well." Twilight said as he walked back into the base, all the soldiers were back as they were dead on the floor and starting to rot again. "Well then looks like there are some limits to my powers, but we can change that, all in all ashes to ashes dust to dust."
And like that Twilight walked back into his base, blood splattered on the ground as his zombietroopers stayed dead on the ground and leaked blood onto the ruins they laid dead on. Twilight walked back in wondering what kind of hell he would put the troopers through next. All in all it could be quite fun for him.
Raising his hand as he raised the Neuroseekers back up and disappeared getting ready to continue his path of destruction through the city and make the Outsiders regret involving themselves in such a damnable conflict, they would pay for what they did and they would know what it was like to truly deal with a Kagen overlord.
"So then vampire, let me ask you why shouldn't I kill myself? I just murdered about three people and presumably ruined my reputation, so you know kind of going through an extensional crisis." Elias said as he opened his eyes and stood up, his vampire counterpart stood up as well and they stared into each other's eyes, hate filled both of them as they waited for the other to say something for the other slip up and do something stupid.
"Oh please they're not dead if you think that draining that much blood would kill someone then you really need to take anatomy again, or are you too busy making eyes that the lizard?" Vampire Elias said standing up and they started to circle around each other, looking at the vampire, the normal Elias knew that he would have to be careful; the vampire had access to all his memories and knew what he knew.
"All of what you did during the war, do you think the Kagen Empire would move on, all the Earth that you personally scorched, let me ask you what you would think of that, what would Finn think of that, wait he's dead, what would Benji think of that, of wait he's dead you killed his world, you disabled his powers, so how proud are you of that?" Vampire Elias said as he found some sort of key, which personally hurt the normally stoic shark.
"You don't know what I went through, you don't get that! You might have my memories but you don't have my experiences and you weren't there. You don't get that right, you don't get to say to me what is right and what is wrong!" Elias said as he faced down the multiform controlled hologram walking forward and raising his finger. As he pushed it onto the vampire shark's body it simply passed through and got a laugh from the vampire.
"You don't get to choose what you get to do, I do, I am a Kagen God and you are a multiform bow to your god lowly lifeform!" Elias said as he started to scream, showing his fangs as he showed his inner Kagen anger. The vampire smiled and backed up as Elias regained his composure. Elias fixed his hair and rubbed the sweat of his forehead.
"Well then look at that, maybe I did underestimate you."
Suddenly from the corner, a portal opened, seemingly in disbelief Dawn walked forward, not even appeared drained of energy. Normally two portal passes would be nearly impossible without the Bitforst Bridge, but yet there was Dawn. The vampire stood up and looked at Dawn smiling, maybe back up for the multiform.
"I knew you had the inner Kagen in you, and that is what we need to do. We need to push back for who we are, we need to be who we are and unify ourselves again. This divide seemingly is causing more rouge Kagens; we need to do this for the sake of our race." Dawn said as he walked in and interrupted the two debating, looking at the two Kagens, he enjoyed the surprised look on their face.
"Well then you two don't even seem to be agreeing but that seems to be a nonstarter but maybe we can find a way to show that you are still you, I wonder what will happen if I were to raise the sun." Dawn said as the dragon visibly snapped his fingers and like that the black arena disappeared. Dawn walked over to the window and opened the shades.
Looking out to the east, seemingly the two towers were parted in just the perfect way. Looking out to the ocean, the darkness was pierced as dawn started and the sky started to turn blue. And like that the sun started to rise in the sky; Dawn backed in the corner and snapped his finger. Suddenly the world paused and then speed up.
Looking as the sun rose, the light started to shine on the Vampire Kagen and like that the hologram disappeared. Twilight smiled as he watched his body return to normal, color returning to his body and his fangs completely disappearing. Twilight looked as his body turned back to life, the multiform going to sleep and his powers leaving.
"And like that the sun returns the city; at least we can be assured that the sun will rise for a few more trillion years and like that the inner vampire disappears unless you wake it up on your own." Dawn said as he shut the window. Elias put his hands out and the sun against his hands, only tingled a bit. It seemed they were a bit more powerful than the creatures of legend.
"I hope you trust me a bit more, but you can sleep through the night next time and not waste blood, but good luck to you good man." Dawn said as he snapped his hands and disappeared again. Elias turned around and then suddenly the door opened, Colin walked in, looking at him with his eyes he knew the lizard saw him with his special eyes.
"What are you doing in here, were you in here the whole time?" Colin asked as he walked in and walked down the step. Elias looked out the door, Dustin was standing outside the door, he looked beat up sweaty and a bit of a burse on his arm. Elias nodded at him, he was in control and Dustin nodded back, grabbing the handle and leaving the two of them alone.
"No, I just got back, but I am in control but I did some bad things I don't think I can forgive myself, on the other hand I might have the power to defeat Ronan, what did you two do?" Elias said not truly confessing his sins, Colin smiled and wrapped his arms around the shark and just hugged him. Elias waved in place and leaned down kissing Colin on the head. He could feel the sadness in the lizard.
"We chased Twilight, same powers as you and he can raise people from the dead as well, we might be dealing with an army of zombietroopers." Colin said as he did look up to Elias, not ready to look back into those red eyes. But as he did, Elias smiled, hiding his fear, his face and eyes were completely the same as before. "You didn't change at all, how did you do that?"
"You know the art of the compromise and the sun, Multiform goes to sleep and I have full control of my body, I can sleep through the next night and hopefully this won't be trouble." Elias said as he dealt with the fact that Twilight was back and in this time period. He looked away from Colin and frowned. "Well then I think we can beat Twilight."
"So then one last question?" Colin asked as he looked up to Elias and rubbed his head, getting a smile out of the shark. Elias looked down to him and wondered for a second as he nodded and gave Colin, Colin smiled and kissed Elias on the cheek and knew that the trouble was over. "What the hell is a multiform?"
