Untouchable: Chapter 1: A Friday Night
Xander fell back into Sean's couch yelling over his shoulder, "dog why are you taking such a long shower, guy's won't want to dance with a wet mop!""Xander shut your muzzle!" Sean barked back from the bath room, water still running, "... your the one that gave me no information about the club we are hitting tonight.""It's a surprize," Xander said snooping through Sean's tablet."Is it a themed bar, do I need to wear anything special?" Sean called back the water shutting off."Oh, it's themed, and you'll love it," Zander said flipping through some of Sean's tiger and lion porn, "it's totally up your alley.""Right up my alley... oh god, please tell me it's not Omega, I'm looking for a partner not a pup." Sean said, shameless as he crossed the living room to his bedroom. Sean was a tricolored wolf with a black back that was broad. His front was mostly dark brown, surrounding light and gray highlighted fur pooling near his muzzle and neck, which formed a river flowing into angular lakes at his muscular chest and stomach, trickling off midway down his thighs."Not going to towel off? And what's wrong with a pup or kitten?" Xander asked."Nothing just not my thing," Sean said."Hey, aren't you more of an alpha then a beta at heart? Shouldn't you love the little guys," Xander asked leaning forward to set the tablet on the coffee table and sniffed the air for Sean's musk."I guess but they never set my heart racing like a strong fur who is my match." Sean said standing in the puddle he was making on the tile floor."Well, no matter what you're smelling good muscle wolf, so you should get some tonight." Xander said wishing he could be a match for Sean, a twitch from Sean's full tail snapped Xander back to attention. "Are you going to dry off or are you going as is?""I'm not getting arrested for public indecency," Sean said and eyed the clothes Xander had set out for him and shook himself dry, "fine those can work, I guess." Xander felt his face heat as he glanced at Sean's large endowment, and thought, "I hope he can't smell me from there."Sean's shit faced smirk told Xander that he had, "so your dressing me too, this is why two Alphas can't date," Sean said, "and yes I'm not an omega or much of a beta for that matter.""Well, I'm not an omega either, just wish I was taller but whatever." Xander said handing over the shirt and pants, feeling self-conscious about being the only monotone of his Litter."You grabbed... a camo workout shirt and... the washed out gray jeans I wear for yard work and to go hiking." Sean said tilting his head inquisitively."Shut up and put them on, they compliment your gray under tones. Other wise everyone will only see your blacks and browns." Xander said standing up."Fine," Sean said staring back at him, while still naked, "you know, your not that short, aren't you kinda tall for a border collie.""Yeah yeah yeah, I'm a giant for my people, would you get dressed." Xander said flushing again, that damn tease."What are you five foot eight?" Sean asked."Five-seven, now put on your damn clothes." "I can now," Sean said stepping into the lowrise jeans, swishing his tail to settle into them. "What do you mean, shorty," Xander asked."Had to see if you'd get over being aroused by my nakedness, you didn't," Sean said, "and I'm average for a wolf, five foot eleven is a good height for most furs but below average for a wolf.""So mister average, why don't you date the big strong wolves if you don't like the pups?" Xander asked checking on their share ride service's eta."it just doesn't work out for me," Sean said."Well, your Porn tells me big and musclely works out fine, so your not mental,"
Xander said.Sean snatched the tablet up to check it and said, "I need to put a password on this thing.""Yeah, you might find you and your mom like the same porn," Xander said."You are such a boner killer, you know that right? Sean asked."Whatever are you ready the rides nearly here?" Xander asked."Oh, I just need my wallet," Sean said trotting to his bedroom.Xander watch his friends bubble butt disappear from view. Texting the rest of the pack to make sure everyone would be there on time. His phone started buzzing, "Sean the cars here.""Coming..." Sean called from the bedroom."Phrasing!...." Xander barked back."So what are we doing for dinner?" Sean asked a light jacket in hand."The club has a pretty good restaurant next to it. Plus you can get into the club through the restaurant." Xander said."Sweet I hate lines," Sean said and locked up his apartment. "So what happened with that Doberman you went on a couple dates with, he was cute?""He had a girl friend, I'm not bi enough to make that work," Xander said not wanting to talk about it."I'm sorry dog, hey maybe it'll be the next one," Sean said grabbing the elevator before the door closed.Xander thought, "or the one that's never been, maybe you'll notice me for once?" And said, "evening ladies." As he squeezed into the elevator. Near full with five ladies set for a night on the town.Sean stood stoically in the elevator as if he was all alone. Xander thought, "how do wolves do that, it's like they are always in control, and no one else affects them till they want them too. Either that or he is just good at ignoring when people are into him, these
ladies are reecking that come be my mate vibe.""How long is the drive?" Sean asked."Oh less than ten minutes. At the most," Xander said."Hmm, don't know where it could be then to many places are that close," Sean said."Heading to a club guys?" One of the ladies asked."Yeah we are-" Xander started to say."Dinner first then a club, but both are a surprise," Sean said speaking over Xander. They got off at the plush lobby, waved at the girls, and exited the building. "Why did you cut me off?" Xander asked."You we're going to tell them where we were going, or give a tip. It's a surprise remember." Sean said hunting for their ride."I wasn't going too, and I thought you hated surprises?" Xander said following the pin to where the car had parked."I do, but I like people keeping their promises, even unspoken ones," Sean said getting in the car after Xander, "oh and is it just you and me or are others coming too?""Ken and Pence are coming, don't know about Fred and Neal, other than that haven't heard from the rest of the pack." Xander said in a little lie, and checked his phone again as they headed towards downtown."Are Ashley and Rachel not coming," Sean asked."They haven't been on, but they are having birth-pack issues," Xander said."Really, like what? I thought their families came to terms with their sexuality." Sean said."Rachel's mom and dad are claiming pack rights to try and annul the mating." Xander said."Those assholes, Ashley and Rachel have pups that they are raising together. What will they do take them too or just send them into a shelter." Sean said in disgust. "And I noticed the driver knows
where we are going with out you saying.""Yeah, I messaged the destination, and he knows not to tell you too." Xander said."Mums the word," the driver, a male retriever Xander had regularly gotten rides with said. At least he was letting them have their conversation in peace."Fred's a lawyer maybe he can help," Sean said."Well a corporate lawyer but your right they should chat," Xander said."Pack laws are so archaic, they are what, six hundred years old or something... hey, are you my Hunting Wolf tonight or am I flying solo once we get where ever we are going?""I'm your Hunting Wolf unless I'm on the dance floor, then your stag." Xander said."Stag, Xander you need to cut out with those kinds of speciesist comments," Sean said making Xander squirm in his seat."Fine fine, sorry old habit, it was how I was raised my parents were kind of Preyist and Speciesist." Xander said and scratched his elbow, "anyway if I find a hotty you'll be lone wolfing. Is that speciesist too?""Kind of but your a dog so it's not as offensive." Sean said."I hate political correctness," Xander said."Others hate when other furs point out their lack of privilege," Sean said."True, I just wish I was raised in a way that didn't unknowingly offend furs," Xander said."Hey, being willing to apologize and treat someone well is half the battle," Sean said, "but I know what you mean, it's like with Rachel's parents, they are unapologetically hateful.""I want to do something for those two, but tonight is about having fun," Xander said as they pulled up into a side alley with dumpsters and garbage bad strewn around."Uhm, when you said up my alley, I didn't think you meant a literal alley, and a dirty one at that." Sean
said stepping around the garbage bags around the near by dumpster when getting out of the car."We are going in the side door man relax," Xander said following Sean out of the car, "this way."The door opened and the smell of catnip wafted over Xander.Sean froze behind him."What's wrong?" Xander asked."I'm not sure I can go in there," Sean said."What do you mean?" "It smells like Catfood," Sean said."But you love Catfood," Xander said."Yeah but I smell catnip," Sean said."Are you allergic or something?" Xander asked."Something like that," Sean said."Oh no worrys this place is catnipfree friendly," xander said, "come on, I'll get you an antihistamine or dimenhydrinate if the smell sets you off." Xander dragged Sean inside and a Chorus of "Surprise! Happy Litterday Sean!" Filled the bustling dinning room."I'm confused my Litter was born last Wednesday," Sean said while people clapped."And today is Friday, the day everyone could come." Xander said."Oh wow, my sisters came, I wouldn't have expected that, they live so far away." Sean said."All part of the surprise, you can't have your Litterday with out your Litter," Xander said, Sean and his sisters had similar color patterns, they were so lucky.Everyone leashed Sean the rest of the way into the restaurant. Sean was hugging the rest of his Litter, so Xander wondered over to the host, a cute and athletic looking four-toned Calico. "Hello again, Paul, thanks for letting us use the
side entry." Xander said."Anytime handsome," Paul said pinching Xander's muzzle."What was that for," Xander asked feeling his warm cheek."Because your sexy and I can smell that you like me, I wanted you to know I was real. I'm off in thirty would you like to go dancing next door, after this birthday, that is if your single?" Paul asked rapidly, his tail dancing to some unheard music.Xander's heart started to pound, "I'm single, and you like dogs, most cats hate the smell and, uhm, the history between our species?""I love dogs," Paul said, "but don't expect me to be a pup, I'm a power kitten. You like cats obviously, but do you like kitten play?""Yes, I do and I think you are just my size," Xander said."Don't make me pur at work, let's exchange numbers, and I'll see you after the party, now remember just because we can both smell our attraction doesn't mean you won't have to work for it," Paul said."I'm looking forward to it, you've been so helpful," Xander said typing his name and number into Paul's phone."I'm a helpful guy and if we click I'll help you home," Paul said winking at Xander and turning him around, "now let's get back to our responsibilities."Paul briefly scratched above Xander's tail in just that spot, before shoving him playfully. Xander headed back to the party, watching Paul at the front desk out of the corner of his eye. Pence waved him over."Xander you have to help Sean, he is crashing and burning over there, or just shyer than we thought." Pence saidHis single brown patched eye, common to Jack Russell terrier's, darting a look at Sean.Sean was uncomfortably leaning away from a very hot panther refilling his water. "God he is hopeless that panther is trying to flirt and he is trying to get away the idiot," Xander whispered back."Yeah he won't get any at this rate, I thought you said he had a thing for big cats?" Pence said."He does I swear, I don't know why he never tries for one, he must get shy as hell around them," Xander said, "hunting wolf to the rescue, doot-Du-DAH.""Good luck," Pence said leaning to whisper something to Ken.Xander sat at his seat on the other side of Sean's sister, and thought, "I'll have to wait till we get to the club, not going to have a chance in here.""Hey Xander, how's work and life treating you?" Sharron asked, Sean's bigger sister."It's going well, Sean and I have been able to work together on the project for city hall, my marketing firm got the bid for the new Species Equality project." Xander said scanning the menu, "what about you?""Well I just got asked to be Alpha Financial Officer of the tech company I'm at, but I'm worried it will make it hard to have the pups Zach and I were planning for." Sharron said."Hard yes, but it would be worth it, your families coloring would be so cute on a pup or four." Xander said, placing his order with the waiter."Oh, I don't doubt Zach and I would have adorable pups..." she said and sipped some water, "the business world doesn't seem to care for packs at become birthpacks. It doesn't matter who raises the pups, it's like they see you as a failed investment or that you don't care enough about the company.""That's crap we have laws against that," Xander said."No, we have laws against them taking provable actions against furs having pups, but you can't stop furs from doing things based on their opinions that they never share." Sharron said, "hey for all I know it might be something you work on with Sean."The food soon arrived, Sharron got a spicy trout and Xander got the salmon. Sean was still being awkward around the big cats so Xander had the waiter bring him a strong mixed drink. It took two more before Sean was acting normal around the Hot panther.Sharron asked, "you two didn't drive did you? I know my brother can drink more than a runt his size should be able too, but it's still not safe to drive after.""Oh no we are getting a ride," Xander said. "I have a friend who's a Retriever Driver.""Ok good," she said and turned back to talk with Sean some more. Everyone was enjoying the company and the food. The night was going according to plan and with a buzzed Sean, Xander was certain they could finally land him a cat for the night.
