First day (Chapter 1)
Alright, my new series, yay, I started out with a short chapter, I know, but oh well, I'm just introducing some people to you right now.
**
I leaned into my father and cried, clutching at his chest with my fists and crying. He rubbed my back, the tears were in his eyes too. "I want mommy to come home," I said, the tears leaking into my mouth.
"She's not coming home Leo," my daddy said, rubbing my back. I could feel his tears dripping onto my head as he cried. "She doesn't want too."
"Is it because of me?" I asked, rubbing my face into his shirt.
"Of course not!" he said, sounding almost angry, "I don't know how anyone could leave you behind. You're the best kid I know."
I heard him muttering under his breath after that, but the most audible thing was, "Stupid bitch, leaving three days after his eighth birthday."
I continued to cry into my father's chest until I fell asleep. I just wanted my mommy to come home.
**
Seven years later...
I put my head on my dad's chest as I drowsed. The next day was a school day and my dad had promised to give me money on my birthday to get my look "fixed." "You're a little old for this aren't you?" my dad said, chuckling as I rubbed my cheek against his chest, my orange fur clashing a lot with the yellow shirt.
"Of course not," I said, putting an arm across his chest and smiling up at him, "I'll never be too old to love my daddy!"
He laughed and said, "Oh, I can't wait until you start dating. Whoever you date is going to crack up when I tell them about this."
"Uh-huh," I said, "sure they will."
"So, are you going to fall asleep like this again?" he asked.
"Mmm, probably." I said.
He chuckled again and started to rub my arm as I dozed off, my eyes closing. I could feel him chuckling again as he picked me up and carried me to my room, tucking me in. I could feel his lips on my head and he said, "Night kiddo."
"Night dad," I said quietly, turning onto my side as I fell asleep.

I woke up in the morning and sat up and stretched and yawned before standing up. I looked at myself in the mirror and giggled slightly at my fur, which was all puffed out. I walked across the hall and into my bathroom and turned the water on and plugged the tub and undressed while the tub filled and then the warm water filled the room with steam. I climbed into the tub and sank into it with a sigh of relief. My dad didn't like me taking baths but I enjoyed them. They let you lay down and relax in warm water. I always took a nice, long bath when I was feeling upset.
When I was nice and clean I got out and stretched before drying myself off, carefully making sure my fur was flat once I was dry and, after pulling at plenty of knots in my fur, I succeeded. I wrapped a towel around my waist and opened the door and shivered as the cool air rushed in but quickly got into my room and got dressed.
I sighed as I walked downstairs, backpack with everything I would need for school slung over my shoulder and making me bend slightly to accompany for the weight. "Bye dad!" I yelled, putting the ear phones for my I-pod in my ear.
The music blared in my ear and I sighed as the songs of Escape the Fate washed through my ears. I walked slowly towards my bus stop, my school being too far away to walk to. I hated Alton High School, worst school ever in my opinion. It was bleak. The walls were gray and the floors were either red, gray, or black. The blinds over the windows were made of metal and were always closed and of course, we had multiple bomb threats a month. I stopped at my bus stop and leaned against the stop sign as a few other furs wandered in, including my two best friends, Ali, short for Alyssa, and Liz, short for Elizabeth. I smiled and pulled the ear buds out of my ears, knowing Ali would do it for me if I didn't. "Hey guys," I said, smiling as I put an arm around both of them, "how's it going?"
"It's going the same as always," Liz says, pulling out from under my arm. Ali, however, stayed there. She had a crush on me, but she knew I was gay. I would give her little victories, a kiss on the cheek, a hug or two, but never farther than that.
"Still gonna spend all day in Colonel's room?" I asked her, referring to the ROTC instructor at my school.
"Probably." Liz said, laughing. Liz and Ali were Raccoons, very similar in most ways except Ali wore glasses and Liz didn't. Liz's hair also curled slightly while Ali's fell straight down her body. Their fur was a light brown where it wasn't black from the stripes and their eyes were both the most stunning dark blue color. They were beautiful, but it was hard for them to find boyfriends because of, one, their very strict father, and two, the very few people who would date a mormon. "And what about you?" I asked Ali as we got on the bus, "What are you going to be doing?"
"Going to classes." Ali said, "Just like you. Of course, unlike me, you won't be able to see."
"Why?" I asked as she sneaked her paw onto my glasses and yanked them off and threw them to Liz.
I walked over to Liz and took them back and said, "I'll take those."
"I thought you were blind," Ali said, pouting.
"I am blind, just not completely like some people," I said, taking her glasses and walking a few seats back and watching as she swung her arms around, looking for me.
"Give her back her glasses and sit down so I can go!" the bus driver, Chris, a bear that was pretty big even for a bear but had good humor for all the kids who normally sat up front.
I laughed and gave her back her glasses and plopped down into the seat next to her. "Find a boyfriend yet?"
"Uh huh," I said, grinning at her, "the JV Baseball pitcher."
"Aha! I knew he was gay," Liz said from the other seat.
"He asked me out on a date halfway through the summer and it's been going pretty well since then." I said, smiling at her. She slammed her hand into my shoulder multiple times and said, "That's good."
"Ow," I said, rubbing my shoulder.
"Wuss!" she said.
I giggled and said, "I know I am, now shush."
Ali sighed and started playing with my ears. I giggled and smacked her paw lightly, "Stop."
"Well, you're dying your fur today, this is one of the last times I get to see it orange." Ali said.
I laughed and said, "Keep your paws off."
She pouted but said, "Fine."
The bus pulled into the school's parking lot and the kids on the bus scrambled off and rushed inside. I felt arms wrap around me from behind and heard someone whisper, "Hey baby." in my ear.
I giggled and turned and wrapped my arms around my wolf, Kevin. His brown fur mixed with the white perfectly, seeming to fade from one color to the next like a masterpiece. He was a masterpiece, a moving statue of a Greek god. He kissed me and then looked into my eyes. I almost gasped as I looked into those electrifying blue eyes, like I had the first time I had ever seen him, but managed to contain myself. I smiled up at him and kissed him back, furs making a wide space around us. Ten years since LGBT rights started to improve and three out of four furs still hated gays. I didn't care though, and neither did Kevin's team. If he kept pitching them winning games, then they were fine with him, and so far, he could do just that.
His arm wrapped tightly around me as we walked and he chatted happily, his voice music to my ears. I couldn't really hear what he was saying, I was too busy admiring his face. He looked at me and started laughing, "Are you even paying attention?"
"No," I said, blushing.
He giggled and said, "That's fine with me."
I laughed and pushed him and said, "Get out of here," as we parted ways to go to our separate classes. The day went by smoothly, a make out session between Kevin and me during lunch and I was satisfied. After school I kissed him deeply and said, "I'll talk to you later honey."
He smiled and said, "Yeah, I'll talk to you tomorrow."
I got on my bus and sat in the front seat, waiting for Liz and Ali to join me. When they sat down and the bus was moving Ali pouted and started playing with my fur, "Do you have to dye it?" she asked. "Yes!" I said, "I have to dye it."
She sighed and said, "Whatever."
I put my ear buds into my ears and listened to my I-pod for the rest of the ride home and then the walk home from the bus stop. I smiled and hugged my dad when I was inside and he grinned and grabbed his keys, "Are you sure you want to dye your fur? I like the color it is now."
"Only because it's the same color as yours." I said.
"Exactly!" he exclaimed, "That's the perfect color."
I giggled and said, "Dad, just take me to the mall."
He sighed and said, "Fine, whatever."
**
Later that night I looked myself over in my mirror and grinned at myself, flashing my gleaming white teeth. "I look good," I said to myself, running a paw over my now black fur and tracing the red highlights that ran down my face and my back, an inch of black between each two centimeter wide line of red.
I walked out of the bathroom and downstairs and sat down on the couch next to my dad, leaning against him and smiling just like I normally did. He sighed and said, "You're going to kill me if you keep making me carry you up the stairs." "I'm just trying to keep you in shape," I said.
"Uh huh, I think you're just selfish." he said.
"Well, duh," I said, rolling my eyes, "but I still love my daddy."
He sighed and said, "Just go to sleep."
I giggled and did just that, my head resting gently on my dad's chest.

Enjoyed it? I hope so :)
And I know my new series name isn't very creative, but this will be called Highschool Days 2!
