A Lazy Evening In

When Talrae asks Larenna to stay with her for a few days, things get a bit more heated than anticipated! One thing leads to another, and before she knows it, Larenna is in the paws of one of her lifelong friends. Helping her to satisfy an aching, burning need.

"Hey Larenna, do you mind helping me out?" A lovely, soothing voice echoed from further inside the apartment.

She'd just come to visit her friend for a while, and she hadn't heard, or thought of any reason she'd need to stay and help. What could she possibly need?

"Sure thing! But... you seem fine to me?" She padded into the doorway, bringing her ruby bulk inside.

Larenna pulled the door shut behind her. It was a rarity to find affordable housing for dragons, especially non-anthro ones, but this was such a nice place! The walls were an agreeable shade of tan, decorated with a picture or two. It was so comfortable, almost homely...

Her host came into her field of view as she walked into the kitchen.

"Hey Laren."

"Hey Talrae. What seems to be the matter?" Even the kitchen was adaptable for such large, somewhat clumsy creatures. Even with that, though, the smell of frying meat brought a smile to her muzzle.

"Well, I haven't told my mate yet, but-" She dropped into a whisper, looking around to ensure that they were alone. "I just got my pregnancy test results back, and... it's happening!" The excitement in her voice was audible, even as she focused on not burning the large cuts of meat.

"Nice! I knew you wanted some little dragonlings running around, but having it happen so soon must be a wonderful surprise."

"Yes, it really is! But, I do have to say, while it's early on, I still feel the effects. The usual, tiredness, moodiness, random food cravings, strange thoughts." She shook the pan with some force, keeping the frying steaks from sticking.

"That's fine. And you want me to help out until you make other arrangements?" Larenna took up a position behind her, gawking at the food, and stealing glances at her still flat belly.

"Exactly. It'd only be for a few days, since once my mate is back, I'll be telling him as well. And then he can take over from there."

"Shouldn't be too bad, then. I could handle that much!" She beamed with excitement.

The food was excellent, and fresh at that. Talrae must have just gotten it that day, and by the time she'd flown there, must have been half done cooking it, too. Larenna always did enjoy visiting her friend, even since they were both but little whelps running around. And now, with a rare chance to stay over for half a week, there was no doubt in her mind. She took it eagerly, making the necessary calls in just a few minutes. It would be worth it, and it always was.

That being said... she couldn't help but wonder. One egg? Two? Three? A whole clutch would be a pawful, but so immensely fulfilling. While Larenna herself hadn't ever wanted to have children, it was lovely to see her friends' wish finally fulfilled after all these years. She mulled it over while eating the food Talrae had prepared. Even with rare meat, it took a while to eat it all. By the end of it, she was stuffed.

"So, when are you due?" She was just putting the dishes in the washer when she asked.

"Hmm, several months from now. Probably mid-summer this coming year for the laying, and then a few months after for them to hatch." Talrae lounged beside the table.

"Must have just gotten the news, and caught it early on, then."

"Of course. When you've been trying a while, you keep tabs on these things."

The beep, and soft hum of the dishwasher were the only noises in the kitchen for a while. Sunlight filtered in through a large window, opening out to an urban city view. Little more than the building across the way, and the streets below were visible from it. The sound of Talrae shifting about behind her made Larenna look back into the apartment.

"Anything else I can help with at the moment?"

"No, but I'll be sure to let you know. Trust me, there'll be plenty."

The living room she followed the amber dragoness into was just as nice as the rest of the space. Soft, clean carpet curled between her paw-toes, and a few couches were strewn about. Conveniently, they all angled towards the rather large TV taking up a far wall. Some other furniture was strewn about, a dresser here, a bookshelf there. Talrae flopped onto a particularly well-worn couch.

"Make yourself at home!"

Larenna gingerly stretched herself across another couch close to her friend. It smelled strongly of her mate, but the scent wasn't at all unpleasant. The light yellow, almost golden dragon got along as well with Larenna as he did with Talrae. With the three of them there, it would have been an interesting night out. Unfortunately, it was not to be. But, that did mean she had Talrae all to herself...

"Got anything you prefer to watch? I know we haven't hung out in seemingly decades, but surely you aren't still into those cheesy romances?" The amber dragoness asked.

"Well, I am still into those, but the more recent action flicks haven't been too bad." She flicked her tail, thumping the side of the couch.

"Let's see what's on, then."

The TV faded to life silently. Not even a pop, buzz, hum or click when it had finally warmed up. The speakers more than made up for that silence though, loudly proclaiming their existence. The news had been on before, and thus, was still on when she finally made out what it was broadcasting.

"...and thank you for the opportunity, General. If you don't mind, I'm going to be taking some R&R time at the local pub. And answering questions too!" A dragon, on the news for some reason?

The crowd onscreen cheered loudly, before Talrae managed to dampen the volume to a less deafening level. Her eyeridges raised, they continued watching.

"You're welcome Aru, just don't make too much of a stir." The platinum-furred wolf looked back at the camera, as the dragon padded off of the stage. "He's perfectly safe, and I, of course, trust his judgment. We have several other units in the crowd as well, but they're on-duty. But, as mentioned earlier, they're people as well, and thus, you can chat with them as much as you like. However, they also know better than to give any info they shouldn't, so they might be a bit boring." A broad grin split his muzzle.

"I mean, we could always ask Aru about your phone!" The camera shifted, swapped to another one pointing at the crowd. A light blue dragon was speaking, but several odd protrusions to his bulk made him look... awkward?

"Let's... not. Anyways, I've overstayed my welcome, so have a good evening, ladies, gentlemen, dragons, artificial dragons, et cetera. Thank you for the stage, Prime Minister." He walked off the stage even more quickly than the dragon had, looking a little embarrassed.

"Well, that was something." Talrae commented.

"I guess. Must have missed most of it." A frown marred her muzzle.

"If it's important, I'm sure it'll be all over the internet tomorrow."

With the short interruption, she went back to searching for something to watch. It took a few back-and-forth question-and-answers from the both of them before they settled on something. Unfortunately, that something lasted about as long as the news clip did. The sun had already set, and the lights were turning on in the apartment.

Talrae yawned, scratching underneath her neck scales.

"Feeling really sleepy for it being so early. Mind if I retire early?" She glanced at her guest.

"Not at all! Anything to clean up or do while you sleep?" The dragoness was already getting to her feet.

"Nothing in particular. Maybe give the dishes a once over, and put them away when the dishwasher beeps. But, even then, that isn't necessary. On the other hand, anything I can get you to make your stay easier?" She flipped the question around on her guest.

"Well, I'm quite fed, and the TV is more than adequate entertainment. Computer is where it always is, too... Perhaps if you'll show me where the blankets and pillows are?" She mulled over her options out loud.

"They're stored on the way to the sleeping den. C'mon, and we'll get you some."

The couch seemed to groan a bit as Larenna got up. While it wasn't quite a whole-floor apartment, it was large enough that finding things could be difficult without guidance. Not to mention how Talrae loved to rearrange seemingly every month or two. It was a lovable, if draining, quirk. All the same, padding behind her, and taking the time to focus on the texture of the carpet made the short walk even shorter.

Talrae pushed open a door, revealing a large monitor at first, and then a just-as-large wooden chest.

"Figured you'd keep the two together." Larenna commented.

"Old habits die hard. Pick out whichever ones you'd like to use, and don't worry about your scent getting on them. The only smell my mate goes nuts over is mine, seemingly." Talrae gestured, grinning.

"He ever end up tweaking the machine like he said he was going to?"

"Yeah. Spent a whole weekend doing it, too. Never could understand what he was doing, but there were a bunch of little packages in the kitchen that we needed to dispose of, and a bit of toxic waste. So, he must have done something."

"Maybe my Flywheel games would run better than last time, then."

"Perhaps. With that, though, I'm off to bed. Spare alarm clock behind the monitor, password is the same as always, and do what you like, so long as you're quiet."

"Sure you don't want me to tuck you in, or anything?" Larenna let the chest shut with a thud.

"No, thank you. And... double thank you for staying and helping."

"You're welcome, it's always a pleasure, too."

"Good night Larenna. Help yourself to the amenities."

"Good night Talrae. You and your clutch sleep well!"

The tip of her friends' tail was the last that she saw of the dragoness. Only the sound of the floor creaking was any indication that she'd moved at all. Her ground rules were simple, and effortless for Larenna to follow. They'd become second -or even first- nature to her over time. Her natural quietness helped a lot with that. The computer shifted a bit in its' power-on cycle. Soft humming came from inside the case. It'd take a minute or two for it to fully boot, but the dragoness had other things to do, so that wouldn't be an issue.

"_Hmm... Get my bed stuff set up, but where? Living den would be fine, but the computer is in here. And the bathroom is just down the hall, between the two..."_Her thoughts ran after each other.

An unused, seemingly-new couch on the far wall told her all she needed to know. Well, that and her being a bit lazy. It didn't matter, anyway. Some time off from work would do her good, even if she would be helping her friend out. Her muzzle curled into a soft snarl. After being passed up for promotion a third time, she was considering greener pastures anyways. Just as quickly as her emotions flared, they subsided. It would do no good worrying about such things when she was supposed to be relaxing.

It beeped softly, finally finishing the boot-up just as she'd finished tossing some covers onto the couch. The apartment wasn't cold, far from it, but there was something nice about sandwiching herself between two blankets.

That would have to wait for later, though. For now, the soft ding of the dishwasher called for her attention. It'd be the last of the truly noisy things, and it would be best taken care of before Talrae actually fell asleep. She left the door half-open, padding through the apartment. The place was so... enjoyably quiet with just her in it. Hardly at all like her own place, just further into town. It was a nice change of pace.

It took only a few minutes to put the dishes into the cabinets, where they belonged. Not a bit of food or grease remained on the pans or plates. Such a convenient thing. With that done, she walked back into the living room. The TV was still playing, but muted. Soft light coming from recessed light fixtures gave the room a dim ambiance. Dim, yet cozy. If color could have a temperature, it would be a warm sort.

"Well, still not much to watch, so no point in leaving that on." Larenna muttered, before turning it off.

The more she looked around, the more she felt that bed was a viable option. It'd be an early time to sleep, but she didn't much mind. That being said, the computer was already going, and it would have been a pointless exercise to turn it on and then immediately forget about it.

The scratch-proof keyboard was a good investment, as she checked her social media while waiting for her games to update. Untrimmed claws made a mess of fragile electronics, but so long as she didn't poke at the keys with the claws, they'd be fine. A few updates from friends and family later, the software finished updating. A soft 'ding!' came through the wireless headphones hung on the side of the monitor.

It took a moment to adjust them to fit her head, but they worked. A double-click later, and she was waiting on a game to load. While she waited, the alarm clock sprung to mind. Within but a few moments, it was set, and tossed onto the couch with the rest of the stuff. The dragoness activated an on-screen display, and dragged it to a corner. Maybe now she wouldn't lose track of time. The clock didn't help. One round, turned into two, turned into five, turned into a dozen...

"_Shit."_Piercing eyes stared at the clock that she'd completely forgotten about.

It was far later than she'd expected. Quite nearly two in the morning. Far too late for the 'ness to be up, even when she was off from work. Good thing was between stages, and a quicksave later, could stop playing. One of her forepaws twinged a little bit. Playing for hours on end was something she could do endlessly as a young kit, and still could. But, her paws would protest. With that taken care of, and all the entertainment she could handle, it was time to sleep.

The covers were much, much more inviting than before. And, after making sure the alarm clock was set, she fell into a deep slumber. So much so, that they ended up a mess wrapped around her form by the end of the night.

" RINGRINGRING" * slap *

She slammed the alarm clock with a start. It was a wonder it didn't shatter into a million pieces. But, somehow, it held.

"Agh..." She groaned.

Every bone in her body hurt a bit, some more than others. Sleeping on the couch was an amazing plan, so long as she didn't somehow end up on her back, laying on her wings the whole night. But, she had. And that was exactly why her body protested immensely.

Tail twitching in annoyance, it gave its' own soft pops and cracks. One paw, then two met the cool, carpeted floor. Then she swung her weight around, rolling to her feet. The covers came with her, and she stumbled to the side, only barely managing to counter her momentum. Flexing her claws, it only took a few minutes to stretch, and ready for her day. Somehow she'd slept even better here, than on her own bed.

"Right... still at Talraes'." Larenna yawned.

Body more awake than her brain, it took a while to clear it of heavy sleep-induced fog. The computer was asleep as well, soft light flashing once every few seconds. After she extricated herself from the covers, she tossed them back onto the couch. No point in folding them, she'd be here a while, after all. Something tickled her ear drum, though. It wasn't the computer fans, but sounded like soft... thumping?

Whatever it was, it sounded like it was coming from further down the hall. Surely her mate hadn't come home early? That wouldn't make sense, either. He was easily as quiet as Larenna, at times. If not more so, other times. Either way, whatever it was, had piqued her curiosity. And besides, what if it was Talrae needing help?

She pushed the door open, and crept into the hall. It swung open silently on well-oiled hinges. And yet, the sound got quieter. Not even her nose smelled anything amiss. Well, other than the family down the way burning their barbeque, but that was beside the point. That same carpet felt like alien terrain as she strode towards the bedroom. Even with her closer proximity, the noise only got quieter. Until a very familiar voice cried out an unintelligible series of vowels and consonants.

"That's definitely Talrae... but what did she say? Certainly wasn't Coelanths' name."

She waited a few moments, poking her nose down underneath the door. She breathed deeply. If nothing else, if there was something wrong, she could find out without bothering her friend. And without being found out. Old scents came first, Coelanths' smell washing across her nostrils first. Strong, dominant and heavy, but it masked something else. Or rather, in this case, someone else. Talrae smelled a bit different compared with the day previous. A little more... intense?

Wait a minute. There was only one or two other times she'd recalled anyones' scent becoming more intensified. Her ex-boyfriend when he'd been particularly rowdy one night, and... Oh.

"_That would explain it."_Larennas' mind clicked on the answer.

She wasn't hurt. Far from it, actually. Talrae was enjoying herself. The shuffling of covers distracted Larenna from her embarrassment on listening in on the dragoness. If she didn't move, she'd be found out! Just as footpaws were padding about in the room, her own carried her right back into the computer room. Her paws fumbled with the computer, and haphazardly shoved the headset onto her skull. If nothing else, it'd make it look li-

The door opened, and she could hear Talrae walk down the hall, passing the room entirely. The 'ness kept walking until she was in the bathroom. And then, the steady hiss of a shower started. That was an amazing stroke of luck. Her hide was saved this time. The rest of her relaxed as the adrenaline rush died down a bit. By the time the computer had actually booted, she hardly showed any signs she'd been shaking moments ago.

"One rather large bullet dodged..." She muttered.

Her body may have been calm, but her nerves were anything but. However, the best use for those at such a time were some high-octane action games. If nothing else, they'd let her temporarily distract herself while the unconscious bit of her mind processed what had happened just moments ago.

She took a long, long shower.

It had been several sessions of various games by the time the background hiss finally stopped. Only a moment or two after the shower stopped, the blowers came on. Larenna came up with an alibi easily. Hopefully, she wouldn't need it, but... The bathroom door creaked open, and a minute later, her room had a new guest poking in.

"Sleep well, Larenna?" Talrae sounded tired. Or perhaps grumpy.

"As well as can be expected. Enjoy your shower?" She stared daggers into the monitor.

"Hope I didn't wake you?"

"Uhh... No. Got up just after you started. Alarm was a bit off with the time." Larenna lied.

"Good. Got a few things around the place we can start on, when you're ready."

"Mind if I make breakfast after this?" She nodded towards the screen.

"Sure thing! I'll watch some TV while I wait. Enjoy your match."

Whew. She'd bought it. Her performance was absolutely piss-poor that match, but that was because her mind was elsewhere. How would she even broach the subject? They'd never fooled around with each other, or their boyfriends. When one 'ness had her claws on a mate, the other veered away. Far, far away. While Talrae had settled a bit with Coelanth, Larenna had drifted between several. Right now, she was quite single.

But... what if she were to offer some 'support' in that arena? Decisions, decisions.

"Well, that's done. Now let's go see what we can get into." She mumbled, mostly for her own benefit.

Her stomach was tied into knots, passing through the doorway, and then the hall. A few curious sniffs revealed no unpleasant reminders of what happened. Only air freshener, shampoo, and a muted scent of a drake and dragoness. Both of which were already very, very familiar. Her tail pecked on the wall as she leaned into the den.

"Got anything in particular you're craving?" The TV was playing, some concert or another on the screen.

"Hmm? Oh, not really, but it's been a while since last I had eggs, though." Talrae glanced over.

"Great. I'll plan something around that. Any drinks?"

"Strangely craving some purified water, should be some already made up in the fridge."

"Gotcha. Probably be half an hour or so." Larenna bobbed her head, ducking out.

As promised, there were plenty of both in the fridge. Several large cartons of eggs in the fridge, and a huge container of water. Fancy filter aside, it looked exactly the same as the tap water. But, if Talrae was craving it, then so be it. Cravings didn't have to make sense, anyway. She got the pans out, and set them on the stove, letting them warm up while she poured the water. Just as odd as the cravings, something about the sound of pouring water made her eardrums tickle a bit. The blower fans turned on automatically as the pans heated up more. They were revving up to full strength by the time she'd delivered the water to the 'ness in the other room.

"Thanks." It was a bit awkward to hold, but with a stand beside each couch, not an issue for long.

"Yup! Back to it."

With the pans pre-heated, it was only a short process of adding some oil, and then the eggs. As large as the pans were, they only held eight eggs each. Each of them could easily scarf down a dozen each, so she left them out for a second round. Larenna was no professional cook, but eggs were easy. And delicious, to boot! The TV got a bit louder as the fans finished revving up to max. Not even a whiff of the food reached her noise. They were a bit too effective, in that regard. Nonetheless, while she mulled the cubic-feet-per-minute value of the fans, the eggs cooked. A short scrape, then a flip, then more waiting.

She gnawed on her lip. Letting her mind distract itself with food and cooking could only do for so long. But, eventually it drifted back towards the earlier encounter. Worry made her stomach roil again, and her mind toiled to create alternate realities. What if Talrae knew that she knew? What if she didn't? How would she-

"Hey." A handpaw on her flank made her jump a bit.

Talraes' pawsteps couldn't be heard over the loud blower fans, making it all the more startling to Larenna.

"Thinking about something?" She sounded curious, and strangely at ease.

"'bout what to pair with the eggs, and about how that one trashy coworker is going to cope with the extra work." Larenna blurted out.

"Really now? Could have sworn you were trying to unlock the secrets of the universe or something with that scrunched-up look on your muzzle."

"...maybe. First load of eggs is almost done. Think I'm going to fry up another, and then add some bacon. Sound good?"

"Fine by me, so long as I get my eggs. Coelanth is a big fan of bacon."

"Yeah? Thought he hated meats." Her brain may have been misfiring, but the look on her friends' muzzle looked like she knew... everything.

"Yup. But, after I sneaked some meat in, and cooked it up... One hardcore vegan dragon turned into a serious meat-lover." Talrae shrugged.

"Hah." The clang of plates being set down distracted her. "Sure you don't want me to get that?"

"I'm pregnant, not crippled."

"Oh."

Not long after she'd scooped the first set of eggs onto the plate, Talrae padded back into the den. Three days of this would be killer... But, Larenna focused on cooking. If Talrae knew, she'd let her stew until she brought it up herself. She knew that much. The dragoness could be predictable to a fault, but it was nice knowing how she'd handle it. Her reaction, on the other hand...

Her brain fizzled while the eggs did. The second set didn't quite come out as expected, but still quite edible. The flow of water over her front paws helped ground her a bit. Regardless, this meal would be enjoyable. She'd make sure of it. Summoning up all her mental effort, she focused on things other than Talraes' recent bout of self-love. Besides, such anxiety would show on her muzzle, and it was already wreaking havoc on her insides.

The package of bacon was large enough to have some heft to it. Fresh, well-cured, and no doubt personally selected by another carnivore. Her claws sliced through the packaging like it wasn't there. One of the perks of being a dragon. The oils she'd used for cooking the eggs were still in the pan, and as such, worked well enough for cooking the bacon. Now, these smells, the blower fans couldn't quite get rid of before they hit her nose. A grin materialized across her muzzle. This was more like it. If there was one thing that could distract a dragon, it was well-made meats. Shiny things and money came in at a close second. While that particular facet may have originated in myth... it was partially grounded in reality.

Another flip, and more waiting. There was a lot of waiting in cooking. Or, at least enough to give Larenna time to think between checking the food. She'd bring it up a little while after eating, just in case it was a sensitive subject. But, she had few doubts about it. The two had shared almost everything since they were young. A little more info wouldn't hurt too much. And, Larenna supposed, it was likely to be more awkward for her, than Talrae. They did live in Mianka, after all.

Time passed swiftly as her brain was drawn to the food. Her stomach grumbled, and it wasn't long before it was all done. It had felt like days, but the clock said otherwise. The plates had already been set out, the only thing left to do was ask Talrae where she wanted to eat. And, with the den a few quick steps away...

"Food's ready. Want to eat out here, or in the kitchen?" A commercial had just come on, giving her Talraes' full attention.

"Let's eat out here. So much more comfortable."

The 'ness had already padded to the kitchen by the time she'd turned around. Could have been interpreted as a bit of tension, or agitation, but Larenna knew better. Both she and Talrae were hungry, and when instincts demanded to feast, that was just what you did. Social norms be damned and cast aside. The doorway was a bit small for two dragonesses to pass each other by.

She drew in a swift gasp of air, feeling their scales slide past. Even hobbling on three legs and being starving didn't cause you to lean on others. At least not... A little nip on her tailtip drew her back to reality again.

"Hurry up and get your food." Talrae nudged.

Larenna hadn't noticed that she'd frozen up at the contact. But, she hurried to comply. The foods' smell helped a bit, but she had the distinct feeling she was being toyed with. It was an uncomfortable, strange feeling for a dragoness. With the plate, and silverware in paw, she padded back into the room. As much as she wanted to sit on a couch further away, when Talrae gestured towards the one next to her, she acquiesced.

"You look like you've been seeing ghosts regularly." She poked.

"Kinda..."

"Eat."

They both dug into their respective meals. The air was tense, but Talrae reclined with a relaxed ease. Like a cat playing with a mouse, in a predatory position of power. And, with the way Larenna felt, she had no doubt which of them was the cat. All the same, she shoved the bacon into her muzzle first.

"You're absolutely terrible at lying."

The statement was expected, but still caught her off-guard.

"W-What do you mean?!"

"You thought your scent just outside my room would go unnoticed? Silly 'ness." A smile spread across her muzzle.

"I can ex-"

"No need to. It's fine. Just, next time you should at least offer to help, if nothing else."

What? She wasn't angry with her? And she hadn't waited? This was a side of Talrae she'd never seen! Relief and confusion flowed through her mind in equal measure. And the food began to taste better, now that she knew.

"So, you're not angry at all?"

"No. Why would you think that, Larenna?"

"It's just... it's an intrusion of your privacy. You told me to not go into your bedroom."

"And you didn't. I just wasn't quiet. Should've told you I might be a bit noisy in that regard."

"So..." Larennas' brain blanked, trying to think of something to ask.

"Nothing changes, unless you want it to. I've always had you pinned as the sort of 'ness that likes drakes, and drakes only. But, if you have any 'curiosities' you'd like to explore, I've already talked with Coelanth a while ago."

"About?"

"Isn't it obvious? About having a second dragoness join the fun. Whether with him..." She swirled a claw on her upper chest. "Or me. Or perhaps even both."

She had a devilish grin.

"Well, I mean, if Coelanth wasn't around, and you had-" she gulped " needs that you couldn't quite scratch... I have to admit, not even the thought crossed my mind until this morning."

Talrae belched before speaking, absolutely shattering the tense atmosphere.

"And if you want to act on them, then who better than a childhood friend, with an understanding mate?"

"Well, I mean. No one I could think of. But, if I mess up somehow, it would be better wi-"

"Oh, come on." Talrae sighed. "You truthfully can't mess up that badly! Sure, there's a bit of a learning period, and even if you, or whomever, don't perform up to par, there's always next time!"

"I'm just saying." Larenna shrugged. "But, if you think I can, then who am I to say otherwise?"

"Either way. Doesn't really matter unless you want to. And, you know I would never force you to do anything. Well, except maybe eat lightly burnt steak."

They laughed, the last vestiges of awkward nervousness evaporating from Larenna. Now that situation was out of the way, and she could enjoy her meal properly. It tasted so much better, but left a curious feeling in the back of her mind. If Talrae was open to the idea, and so was Coelanth, then even if she decided not to after the first try... then why not? It wasn't like she had much to lose in the arrangement. Her friend would understand if she wanted to duck out. That much was certain, after how she'd handled this.

"I'll let you think about it. Take as long as you need. Oh, and thank you a lot for cooking the eggs."

"You're welcome. I think."

"Still confused? It's fine. Probably take a while to process."

She was hungrier than she let on, managing to inhale her entire plate of food. Even went back for seconds. Larenna was stuffed after eating her own plate-full, and the idea of seconds sounded like an idea for another time. Try as she might, though, she saw the mated dragoness in a whole new light. Namely, soft bedroom light. With a certain muzzle buried between her legs. She stared intently at the wall for a moment or two, only snapping back to reality when she noticed Talrae had put her dish on the counter.

"Plate's clean, and yours is rather empty. Saving that for seconds or?"

"No, no seconds. I'll put the rest of the food away in a moment or two." A bit of egg yolk stained the plate, congealing into a light yellow paste on the plate.

"Same look as before. Thinking about Coelanth? Or maybe me?" Talrae teased.

"Maybe..." She played along with it.

"Oh, I see how it is. It's fine though, I have personal experience with how filling he is. And such strong, powerful legs..."

"Ooh. Can't say I don't like the sheen of your scales either. And believe me... I may be having dessert." Two could play at this game.

"Perhaps not immediately after we eat. But, later perhaps we could. Y'know, if you still want to." Was she blushing? The amber dragoness looked a little more red than usual.

"Could. Plenty of time to change my mind. But, right now, it's looking like a curious 'yes'."

"Okay then. To be entirely honest with you, I wasn't expecting a yes."

"Yeah, yeah. You told me earlier about why."

"Yeah..." She trailed off. "Perhaps some TV?"

Larenna hadn't even noticed that it had been off the whole time. She had been so, so distracted by the whirling thoughts in her head. But, now she had other reasons to be distracted. Seemingly, her brain realized that she could look at both Talrae and Coelanth like 'that' now. The dragoness had never recalled putting them off limits, but... this was a welcome development. Well, for now at least.

They didn't talk much, other than a few small comments about this host or that one. Game shows were the entertainment of the morn. Mostly trivia, but a few survivor-styled ones worked their way in, as well. People could be so interesting at times.

"Yellow or blue?"

"Huh?"

"Which do you think would be better in bed?" The show paused for a moment, with both of the mentioned dragons in view.

"Well, I'm not generally good at guessing, but, maybe the blue? He looks rather fit."

"Yeah, but the yellow has really defined back leg and wing muscles. All the better for y'know." It unpaused, showing them both faceplanting.

"Someone has sex on the brain." Larenna stuck her tongue out.

"Can't help myself!" She pouted.

"It's fine."

As much as she couldn't help herself, the ruby red dragoness could smell it on the air. And, with all the windows, doors, and vents closed, that could only be one other dragoness. A lull came in the programming, with several long adverts playing back-to-back.

"Now?" Talrae almost begged with her eyes.

"If you'd like. More than willing to try, at least."Even to her own eardrums, she sounded curious. Hopeful, even.

"Believe you me, even a try would be better than dealing this by my lonesome."

"Even a complete newbie and potential fail of a try?"

"Well, yeah. Worst comes to worst, I can just take care of it myself. Besides, there's no harm in it." Talrae rolled over on her couch, tail draped over the arm.

"I mean, I could 'accidentally' bite."

She rolled her eyes. "And I could accidentally smack your snout for such an idea! Besides, I very much doubt you'd actually do that intentionally."

"Maybe." Larenna lounged on the couch, still waiting for Talrae.

"So..."

"Hmm?"

"Couch or bed?"

"Either is fine, obviously." Truth be told, to Larenna, the bedroom sounded much more... intimate. But, the den was so much more convenient.

"Couch it is. Probably be on the floor by the end of it anyway. C'mere and we'll see about starting." The couch shifted as Talrae pulled herself up a bit.

There was only so much room when two dragons were involved, but they made it work. Or, at least, would make it work. Larennas' muscles and everything else protested when she got up. Her mind though, was already thinking of so, so many whirling, exotically erotic thoughts.

"You've got that look again."

"Thinking again." The rug in front of Talraes' couch felt even more comfortable than the carpet, somehow.

"I can tell. Less thinking, more action."

Her amber scales went from fine, to a bit less so, to even more so as Larennas' gaze trailed downwards. She only dared a quick glance before her eyes darted back upwards. A bit of residual embarrassment flooded her mind, reminding her of earlier. The amber dragoness just smiled warmly, beckoning her closer.

"Don't worry so much about it. It's over and done with. Enjoy the moment." She leaned out of the couch, bringing her friend of many years into a tight hug.

"You're sure?"

"Of course I am." Talraes' sapphire irises shone brightly. "We're friends after all, what's a little more shared, anyways?"

Larenna was about to spit out a snarky response, but Talrae beat her to the punch. Taking advantage of the hug, she brought their muzzles together in a messy, unexpected kiss. The ruby red dragoness would have blushed, were it at all possible. Talraes' closed eyes gave her little to stare at, her shocked expression quickly fading into a more lustful one. Her paws finally relaxed enough to find a place on the amber 'nesses back. Even through her scales, she could feel Talraes' heated hide. Seemingly boiling over, and she knew exactly why, too.

The only thing she tasted on her tongue was the food they'd just ate, and a bit of something else. Saliva drooled out of the corners of their muzzles as their tongues fought for dominance. A series of pops from the amber dragons' jaw, and Talrae finally acquiesced. The battle shifted into her muzzle instead, and that taste grew even stronger. But, with Larennas' mind in tatters, and what remained, very frazzled, she still couldn't identify it. The lack of oxygen got to her first, mind going numb with pleasure. So much so, that she was still stunned when her friend pushed back a bit.

"Damn. Coel only ever kisses that well when he's REALLY in the mood." Breathless, it took several moments for Talrae to spit it all out.

"You... you taste good."

"Of course I do. How else did you think I was going about my business, hmm?" She teased.

"Guess that answers that question?"

"Well, there's truly only one way to find out. So, you want to go first, or shall I? Or maybe another arrangement?"

"Curiosity has this 'ness in its' paws. So, I think I'll satisfy that. Coelanth is so missing out right now." A smirk tugged at her muzzle.

"I mean... we could fix that." An equally devilish grin split Talraes' muzzle.

"Camera?"

"Camera."

Luckily, Talrae had planned for a lot more than Larenna had ever thought she would. A small camera, a tripod, and several memory chips were in the couch-side stand. She didn't have her pegged as someone who was mindful of, let alone prepped, for these things. Interestingly, the camera was a shade very, very close to her amber scales. It didn't take but a quick flick, press, and flop to set it out. A moment later, Larennas' muzzle was pointed back towards Talrae.

"Not only a camera, it's an automated little 'droid too."

"Damn, I didn't think you were into tech."

"New hobby, new toys. Now c'mere while I add another little enjoyable facet to a boring morning."

"Aaah..." Talraes' tail flicked lightly against her more sensitive flesh.

"I assure you, totally accidental." She stuck her tongue out, teasing her friend a bit.

"And who was just saying I was terrible at ly-ahhhh." Her sentence was interrupted the exact same way as before.

"Never expected you to do this with no reward... wouldn't be fair."

Larennas' hide felt on fire as the slightly rough scales on the tail worked their way along the surface of her all-too-sensitive vent. Not even dipping in, just slowly sliding, back and forth. The tease made her blood boil, no doubt similarly as the hide she'd just felt moments ago. Her front half almost leaped off of the couch, trying to push back against the grinding tail.

"Nuh-uh."

Larenna whined nasally, as that wonderful feeling was gone, for the moment.

"You please me, I please you. That's how that works. Well, at least for right now."

"Such a tease."

"Says the 'ness that smells almost as needy as me."

"Guilty as charged..." Larenna hissed.

"Well, the sooner you g- AHH." Her cries were louder than Larennas' own. And not in the least bit because she'd shoved her muzzle into those too-sensitive folds.

"Heh. She cries louder than I do." She thought, savoring the feeling of turning the tables on her friend.

Holding her breath a bit, she nuzzled at those glistening folds. The scents were overwhelming. With every breath, she inhaled more and more wonderful smells. It wasn't until she opened her muzzle, and slowly licked, could she identify them. Somehow, her brain categorized all of them. Sure, Talraes' scent was there. So was Coelanths, but a much, much more dominant version of it. A little bit of something else, but that was likely the slowly forming eggs. All of it brought a cloudy haze over Larennas' higher functions. If her eyes could have gotten any more unfocused, they would have.

Talrae panted. For a first-timer, Larenna was scary good. And she hadn't even put that tongue to use inside her yet, either! It was all the amber 'ness could do to claw at the couch, and focus on two spots. Two, because if her longstanding companion was doing this well, it was only right to return the favor. Her tail could find the spot by heat alone, as both of their insides were churning, moving almost boiling-hot blood to all the right places. And that heat would only feel more and more relaxing as they both performed their respective deeds. A short stop in Larennas' breath showed that she'd definitely found the right place. Her tail felt wet, slowly dragging, and tugging at the other female.

"_God... pregnant 'nesses have such an overpowering... everything."_Her brain struggled to form coherent thoughts as Talrae rubbed against her folds.

Messy juices oozed onto her muzzle. Each tender lick teasing Talrae further and further. That tease became something a bit more concrete when that wonderfully slick tongue dipped inside her. It was music to Larennas' ears when she heard the breath catch in her friends' throat. At that point, it was only a matter of time. Well, time and a bit of rather enjoyable effort. Some time ago, she'd closed her eyes, instead focusing on the raw, primal enjoyment she was both getting, and receiving. Her tongue pushed into the dragoness, gently prying her open.

That thick oral muscle felt like a wonderful substitute for her own. And, all the better that she only needed to focus on moving her tail. Anything more would have been too much, and she was already seeing stars. Electric jolts of sensation rocketed through her as Larenna put her long tongue to good use. But, while she was doing that, Talrae could only amp up the sensation for her friend in one way. A quick adjustment, and her tail spread the other dragoness open instead. It was a shallow penetration, but very easy with all the natural lubricant already coating Talraes' tail. The somewhat rough scales became mere bits of texture, driving Larenna wild.

Her hot breath washed across Talraes' nether bits, freezing for a moment as she tried to focus. Said focus was difficult, if not impossible to obtain when she was being spread open, after weeks of inactivity in that arena. It was a familiar feeling, and yet so satisfying, scratching an itch she didn't know she'd been neglecting. All the same, it was definitely being satisfied now. It felt like her hide was on fire, and her muzzle coated in just-as-hot juices. A quick gulp of air was all that was needed to remind her why she was between Talraes' legs. Tongue still embedded inside her pink folds, she pulled it out, feeling along her insides as she did. A small, slightly rough bump was exactly what Larenna thought it was.

"aah!"

She could only smirk. Even if she couldn't see straight from Talrae doing her best to distract her, the sound was the only thing she needed. All it took was a few moments of rubbing along that extremely sensitive spot, and the telltale ripples were beginning to ramp up. Just listening to her heartbeat made Larenna think Talrae might pass out from sheer pleasure. But, it was not to be, thankfully. A high-pitched whine, and a pair of paws on her muzzle cemented what did happen, though. More mess was added to her muzzle, and washed along her tongue. It was only a short moment, but with Talrae pushing her tail inside her friend, her own peak was coming.

But, the feeling of a short, intense orgasm was enough to distract Talrae from focusing on anything at all. It took several moments for her to recover. When she reopened her eyes, it was to a needy pair of emerald eyes staring at her.

"Oops."

Larenna glared at her, and pushed herself back onto the tail. She'd had one, and if nothing else, it was time for a bit of reciprocation! A few cracking noises from the sudden force came from Talraes' tail, but that didn't concern her in the slightest. Especially since the amber dragoness egged her on.

"Well, it's only fair. Go on. Use that tail. Imagine it's Coel..."

Those same paws pulled her up onto the couch, letting Talrae control her a bit. Her own needs sated for the moment let her focus entirely on getting Larenna off. That was one score that would be best settled soon. With the ruby dragoness laying atop her, she pushed into her roughly. Holding her tight, she jackhammered her tail into, and out of the needy 'ness. Even with the rapid pace, Larenna showed no signs of pain. Far from it, her cute little squeaks and keening whines of pleasure told Talrae, and anyone else listening in, otherwise.

Her hot breath washed across the amber dragonesses scales, only to be sucked right back in. Panting heavily, it was all she could do to hold on. Her own forelegs felt weak, barely even feeling attached at all. Lungs burning, her rear legs shook with pleasure. It was a good thing Talrae was holding her onto the couch, becase otherwise she'd be on the floor, writhing. Now, instead, she was writhing atop the dragoness.

"Just a little more, hmm?" Talrae felt her getting close.

To say that she saw stars when she came was an understatement. Her mind completely blanked for several moments, both leading up to the finale, and after it. The only thing she felt was a massive, heavy afterglow, and her own heartbeat. It felt like hours before she felt anything else. And, when she did, it was another heartbeat. A much slower one. And then a pair of paws idly kneading at her back.

"Holy fuck..." Her entire muzzle felt numb.

"You don't say? You actually passed out for a few minutes."

"I did? It felt like... hours." Larennas' own voice felt alien to her. And something ached between her legs, just underneath her tail.

"Nope, just five minutes. Almost thought you had a heart attack or something, your heart was hammering so hard for about half of that."

"Just... one of my best so far." Larennas' legs felt numb, but the feeling of the soft carpet between her toes was waking them up.

"Must have really enjoyed it. Myself, I certainly did. Thanks."

"So it wasn't too terrible?"

"Definitely better than my own muzzle. But, there are a few points I think I can direct you to. Next time, that is. Don't worry about it. It was amazing."

"You're welcome then..."

"Lay there as long as you need. I can't feel my tail anyway."

A smirking dragoness was the first thing she saw when she finally opened her eyes. With her neck giving a scary amount of cracks and pops, she finally saw behind her. Still embedded inside her, Talraes' tail was a mess of femcum, and deeper than she thought possible. Even fidgeting, it touched places deeper inside her than she'd dared herself.

"Must be extra stretchy now."

"I was shocked. But, since you're obviously fine..." Talrae trailed off.

It was quite the process, with several stops and starts, but eventually, Talrae managed to retrieve her tail from inside Larenna. To say it left a needy, aching void was an understatement. And, an all-too-familiar expression scrunched up onto her muzzle.

"Again?" This time, it was Larenna asking.

"...maybe after I'm not numb all over."

"Okay." She sounded a bit disappointed, and it showed on her muzzle.

"So like five minutes."

The expression vanished, and a warm smile replaced it. The amber dragoness beckoned Larenna back onto the couch.

"Get back up here. But, first there's something I need to send to a certain drake."

Meanwhile...

"Rrrrrh..." Coelanth growled as his packs were loaded up with various construction supplies.

It was a bit of rough work, even with the assistant drones, but someone had to bring supplies up. His wings burned every bit as much as his back did. The scaffolding creaked with every step. A few careful steps upwards, and he was on his way. Each time he passed a small work crew, his load got a little lighter. It wasn't until his personal bag was vibrating did he snap out of his autopilot of carrying things up and down the side of the building.

"Who is texting me? Tal should have Larenna over to occupy her..." He mumbled.

The last of the stuff was pulled out of his cargo satchel, and he set the drones to get back down to ground level. He signaled his break to his supervisor, getting a very fluffy thumbs up from the wolf. After resettling the now-empty satchel, he took off. A bit of a jump off the top of the scaffolding made the process that much easier. Few short moments passed as he glided downwards in a lazy spiral, until he landed on the street once more. Hobbling with three paws, he fished out his phone, and leaned his lazy bulk against a wall.

"From the camera? Tal should ha- Oh." His brain blanked for a moment as his paw tapped past the spoiler tags and various warnings she'd attached.

"God damn Tal, I didn't think you'd actually hook up with Larenna while I was out... But-" His muzzle split into a huge smile. "Glad you sent this."

It got saved directly to his phone. And he had no doubts, that when he eventually got home from this work contract... they'd be having quite the bout of fun with her and his mate. Tal had brought it up a while ago, that she may bring in another dragoness, or a drake if Coelanth approved. But, this 'ness was most definitely Coelanth-approved. He bit his lip, denting the fine scale there. As much as it pained him, he put the phone back, as his break was almost over. Just enough time for a bit of coffee though.

That coffee was so much more satisfying when he knew his mate was being taken care of by a friend. Especially when he was already planning on paying her back the exact same way.
