Chapter 122 - Present From The Past

Remaining comfortably at the table, Chris curiously looked over the blanket attached to it while the girls explored their private springs outside. Feeling the softness of it, he muttered "nice" before lifting it for a look beneath, making his way under to examine a heater attached to the bottom of the table. "Ooohh, that's neat." he added. After a moment, the girls returned to the room and closed the sliding screens, looking toward Chris and tilting their heads curiously. Making their way to the table, they found the bottom half of his body sticking out as he lay on his back. Looking at one another, the girls shrugged before Alicia lowered her head and pushed it beneath the blanket, making her way beneath the table and finding Chris opening the heater for a better look at the inner workings. Tilting her head, the snake asked "What are you doing?" which caused him to let out a startled shout and shoot up, smacking his head against the underside of the table causing the whole thing to bounce in the air. Startled, Serenity and Rose jumped back as Chris let out a groan from beneath, closing the panel over the heater before inching out and rubbing his forehead. Pulling herself out as well, Alicia blinked at Chris in surprise as he grumbled profanity and hissed, checking his hand for blood before rubbing his forehead again. "A-Are you alright?" the snake asked. "F-Fine..." he muttered, shaking his head. "Geez that smarts." he added before looking at the girls with a winced expression. "Done exploring the springs huh?" he asked, the girls nodding in response. "I-It's really nice." Rose smiled nervously. "I like lots! Think this place better than inn." Serenity agreed before giving him a wary look. "You... Okay?" she added. "Yeah, no worries." Chris assured. "I didn't intend to make you hurt yourself, we were just curious." Alicia point out.

"Well, guess seein' a guy stickin' out of a table like that is kinda awkward." he nodded. "Is there something under there?" Rose asked, walking up and feeling the blanket herself. "Now that take time to notice, that table look weird. Not see one like that before." Serenity added, feeling the blanket as well. "There did seem to be some kind of device beneath he was toying with." Alicia recalled, the girls looking at her before curiously having a look for themselves, noticing the heater. "This thing IS table right? What that for?" Serenity asked. "It looks weird... The only time I see something like this under something is if it's in one of those humans shows... And it always turns out to be a bomb." Rose point out, causing Serenity and Alicia to freeze wide eyed, the two inching away from the table while Rose pulled her head out and tilt her head curiously. "I-It's not a bomb or anything." Chris assured with a nervous smile. "It's actually a pretty common thing humans use in the Eastern regions to keep warm in places like this, and during the winter time. It's called a kotatsu." he explained. "Kotatoo?" Serenity asked, giving a bewildered look in response, Alicia and Rose sharing a similar expression. "No no, ko-ta-tsu is how you say it. They're tables with blankets that are usually really... Plushy, kinda, and they have a heater attached underneath you can turn on." he began as the girls gathered around the table. "Since the blanket is draped to the floor all around the table, when you turn the heater on the warmth builds up under the table since it can't escape. Humans in the Eastern regions have used them for a long time, probably since way before electricity came around. I think way back when they used charcoal and stuff like that instead of electricity." he smiled.

"My, you certainly know some rather... Random... Details, don't you?" Alicia asked. "Eh, some of the elders were Easterners so it was only natural I'd pick up on different cultural stuff." Chris shrugged before having Serenity and Rose help him roll the blanket over the top of the table. "Watch this, I'll show you how it works." he offered before switching the heater on, causing a light to shine from beneath the table. "Oohhh... Kinda neat." Rose muttered while looking under it again. "Alright, now we just put the blanket back down..." he instructed, the girls helping him do so. "And that's all! In a few minutes it will be nice and cozy under there. People use it mainly to keep the lower half of their bodies warm, but it can be used to tuck yourself under and take a good nap in too!" he chuckled. "Humans are a creative bunch..." Alicia smirked. "Well, they had to be in the East especially since, even to this day, they don't have the best insulation in their buildings most of the time. That's stuff they put in walls to keep heat trapped inside rooms better... Since they don't really have that, their homes tend to stay a little on the colder side when temps start to drop. Using these is actually a much cheaper way of staying warm too. It's easier on the bills." he point out. "It not bad you know stuff, but make my head hurt..." Serenity scowled from the school session. "S-Sorry." Chris apologized. "Oh, don't mind her. Food for the mind is just as important as food for ones stomach." Alicia affirmed, causing Serenity to scowl before making a kissy face and noises to suggest the snake was kissing up to look good, causing Alicia to twitch an eye. Looking at the two, Chris smiled nervously before hearing a sigh and looking to the left to find Rose resting her chin on the table.

"Ohh, this DOES feel nice." she giggled. "Heh, see? I told ya!" Chris grinned as the rabbit tucked her lower half beneath the blanket. "You girls should give it a try too!" he added, Serenity and Alicia looking at one another before nodding. Taking off her collar, Alicia set it on a nearby drawer before slithering beneath the table and coiling up the lower half of her body, raising her upper half back out and showing a smirk. "Well, this is rather nice." she nodded while Serenity scoot herself in next to Chris with a grin. "P-Pretty great huh?" he asked warily. "Someday it'd be pretty cool to have one of our own I think. They're great for family time and stuff like that." he point out. "I think it be better for private time. Already have ideas." Serenity giggled slyly. "H-Hey now." Chris scowled with a slight blush on his face. "Quite right. Behave yourself." Alicia affirmed. "You leave alone." Serenity scowled, sticking her tongue out at the snake before cuddling Chris with a satisfied smile. Scratching his cheek shyly, Chris cleared his throat before coaxing Serenity back. "A-Alright, so now that we're all sitting nice and cozy and stuff, how about we go over the plan of how we're gonna spend our time here together?" he asked. "Ah yes... What exactly IS your plan again? Alicia asked. "I dunno, I kinda don't mind relaxing like this. It's ni--ice..." Rose swooned while nuzzling her face into the blanket. "Ha ha, don't worry. I plan to do stuff with all of you." he assured. "Li--ike...?" Serenity asked, twirling her finger on his chest. "You say there right time and place. This it, right?" she giggled. "I-It's clear where your mind is." Chris laughed nervously. "What? Not want me to want that?" Serenity scowled.

"N-No! I do! Really!" he assured, smiling with slight sweat on his face. "So... You like when I want it?" she giggled, playing a teasing mind game with him that put Chris in a wary state with a blush on his face, the Pokemon enjoying herself while Alicia twitched an eye. "B-Back to what I was saying!" he affirmed while inching back from Serenity as she faced him with an almost feline kind of behavior going on, from her expression to her pose as she crawled toward him. "Would you let the man speak?!" Alicia finally snapped, causing Serenity to face the snake in agitation. "Y-Yes please. Just hold on." Chris smiled, coaxing Serenity into settling down, the Pokemon sitting with an impatient scowl. "Alright, so the plan is to spend time with each of you, one at a time. Only instead of what happened on the Guardian, this time you'll all get to be with me without having to worry about me passing out on you." he explained. "Ah... That really didn't end so well for you." Alicia point out. "Yeah, that's because I'd been pushing myself nonstop. This is gonna be way more of a casual thing. Keep in mind I was helping out the entire ship AND spending time with all of you. Kinda stretched myself too thin there." he laughed, rubbing his head embarrassed. "I'm well rested and there's nothing else for me to focus on or worry about so there's no need to worry. And this time I'll let YOU girls decide the order you spend time with me!" he smiled. "Dibs!! First!! I call!!" Serenity abruptly shout with her arm in the air. "Hold on! That's not fair!" Alicia snapped. "I gotta agree there. Isn't there a better way than that?' Rose asked with a nervous smile. "Oh, there is. A much better way actually that gives each of you an equal chance." Chris nodded.

"I'm all for it." Rose agreed. "Alright then. To decide who spends time with me in what order, I'll have you girls draw straws." he explained. "Draw straw? Thing human use to drink? How that help?" Serenity asked. "You want us to draw pictures... Of straws?" Rose added, tilting her head. "I fancy art myself, but I don't see myself as particularly talented in creating it..." Alicia point out. Snickering at their responses, Chris shook his head. "No, no. You're not literally going to draw straws." he assured, the girls looking at one another confused as he scoot out from the table and stood. "Just give me a sec, I'll show ya." he nodded, heading toward the living area and taking a large glass bowl used for decor from the table in front of their couch. "What you do is you get something like this..." he point out before heading toward the sliding screens, opening and heading outside. Tilting their heads, the girls watched as he reached up and started snapping twigs off a tree hanging over one of the walls. "Humans have strange games..." Alicia muttered. "I gotta admit it on that one..." Rose smiled nervously. After a moment, Chris returned with the bowl now filled to the brim with twigs, the girls looking it over as he sat it on the table. "Alright, so here's how it works." Chris began while taking a twig out. "Each of you will close your eyes and pick out one of these. The order I spend time with you is decided based on who draws the longest twig! Biggest goes first, smallest last. Get the idea?" he asked with a smile, getting a nod in response. "This way there can be no complaints since you girls decided the order fair and square. All of you have the same odds here. Plus it's a pretty fun way to decide!" he chuckled as they looked at the twigs.

"Very well, I suppose that's simple enough." Alicia nodded. "It does sound kinda fun." Rose smiled. "I think call dibs better." Serenity scowled with her arms crossed. "That's because you called it first, and quite unfairly might I add." Alicia lectured, Serenity sticking her tongue out in response. "Now, now. Lets just give this a try and see how things turn out. Once we've got the order set in stone, I'll start getting ideas sort out for each of you. I've already been thinking things through since we entered the border so it's all a matter of who's doing stuff when." Chris assured. "There's just ONE thing though..." he added, holding his hand out to cover the bowl as the girls started reaching for it, waving his finger. "That spring out there... It goes without saying that I plan to spend time with each of you out there too." he affirmed, the girls blinking at him and blushing slightly. "Why would you need to point that out?" Alicia scowled. "Because, you girls are gonna swear to me you won't make a big deal out of me spending time with you out there. I want you girls to respect each other and mind your own business when I'm out there with each of you." he affirmed. "If it's Serenity who's with me, I want Rose and Alicia to give the privacy we deserve. Same thing if it's Alicia or Rose with me." he nodded while looking at them. "I got this room under the impression that you girls can show some growth. The screen wall will be kept shut, so all you girls have to do is mind your own business in here when I'm not with you and do your own thing. I want you to prove that I can do something like this without catching a bunch of flack over it." he explained as they looked at one another. "You'll each get equal time with me. All you have to do is avoid causing trouble between each other, deal?" he asked.

Remaining silent for a moment, the girls nodded in agreement. "Good... You've made me real proud of you after what you did back at the shrine. I want you to make me proud of you again by respecting one another while we're here at the spring. The only thing that's gonna be separating us is that screen wall there, so if you can show me you can give each other privacy and mind your own business when it's not your turn, I promise I'll make it worth your while for being good." he affirmed. "Alright, go ahead and pick a twig, each of you. Remember to keep your eyes closed." he instructed before they did as told. Rummaging through the bowl, they each took a twig before opening their eyes and looking them over. "Alright, now just hold them up together for me and we'll see what the order is." Chris smiled, the girls showing a nervous look before scowling at one another and holding them out. "Well, looks like we've got a winner!" he grinned, pointing out Alicia's causing the snake to blink in surprise. "Rose is second it seems, and last is..." he added, pausing when he looked at Serenity who was scowling with her cheeks puffed out and tears in her eyes. "I not like straw game!!" she complained, throwing her twig and sitting with a plop, crossing her arms with a pouty grunt. "My way better! Not fair at all!" she added. "W-Well, second is okay I guess." Rose smiled nervously with slight sweat on her face. Looking at the two, Alicia tilt her head before looking at her twig again. "Well then... I suppose being first this time does make up for a few things." she smirked, Serenity scowling at the snake and sticking her tongue out. "Oh, mature." Alicia muttered. "Now now, it's fair and square, remember." Chris reminded.

Looking at him, Serenity grunt again before facing away and pouting. "Not fair. I here first, should be first. Last not right." she muttered. "Uhh, if it's that big a deal, she can have my turn?" Rose offered, causing Serenity to perk up before Chris shook his head. "Come on now. What you drew is what you get." he affirmed. "It's not right to get upset over it. You'll get your turn no matter what so behave." he lectured, Serenity facing away for a moment before letting out a sulky sigh. "There we go. Much better, although you could be a little happier still. You're all gonna have plenty of time with me and I'm gonna do nice stuff for you so don't let what you drew make you act that way." Chris assured. Looking at him, Serenity glanced away and apologized, Alicia raising an eyebrow while Rose smiled and nodded. "Atta' girl. Besides, there's plenty you can do while waiting for your turn. There's plenty of shows and stuff you'd probably like to catch up on, right?" Chris asked, causing her to face the TV and nod before heading toward the recliner next to their couch and sitting with a plop, taking the remote in hand and clicking on the set. Letting out a sigh, Chris shook his head before smirking. "I've spoiled you girls something fierce." he chuckled. "Surely we're worth spoiling a tad?" Alicia asked. "Heh, won't disagree there." he nodded while standing with a stretch. "Alright, so a little while with you, a while with Rose, then while with Serenity, that gives each of you plenty of time with me, lets us do plenty of stuff, and ends the day with everybody feeling satisfied!" he grinned before walking up to the snake. "Congrats on the win." he nodded, reaching up causing Alicia to jerk her head back warily. Pausing, he blinked at her in surprise as the snake looked down at him, Rose tilting her head curiously with an "eh?" while Serenity glanced back.

"N-No-go huh?" Chris smiled nervously. "Wadaya doin'?" Rose asked. "Well, just figured I'd..." he began, looking at the rabbit only to pause when he felt Alicia rest her chin on his still outstretched hand. Facing the snake, she glanced away before patting her chin on his palm with an agitated look, the others watching as he grinned again before he started scratching Alicia's chin, making the snake jolt before her body started shuddering and a quivering smile appeared on her face. "Heh, this is all I wanted to do." he chuckled, the snakes agitated look slowly fading as she gradually raised her chin and let out a somewhat purring type of sound from her throat as he scratched, her tail patting the floor as she closed her eyes. Watching her reaction, Rose giggled while Serenity rolled her eyes and focused on the TV again, grumbling from Alicia getting affection. After a moment, Alicia showed a somehow euphoric look on her face, her eyes appearing dazed as she continued letting out her snake-like purr with a blush showing. Finally pulling his hand away, Alicia let out a satisfied sigh and giggled before jolting and quickly shaking her head. "Boy, that really gets to ya." Chris smiled. "Y-Yes, well. You're welcome... I did tell you I'd allow that after all." Alicia reminded, glancing away with a somewhat hot and bothered look on her face. "Does it somehow turn you on too?" Rose asked, tilting her head curiously making the snake flush all the more. "I-I'm not certain what it does. It just somehow puts me in a strange state is all." Alicia explained, Chris showing a sly smirk before suddenly dragging his fingertips along Alicia's shin, making her jolt and shudder with a wide eyed look, biting her lip before quickly shaking it off as he pulled his fingers away.

"D-Don't take advantage or I'll take the privilege away!" she snapped. "Sorry, sorry." Chris apologized. "Alright then, you ready to head out and do our thing?" he asked. "And... What is it we're doing?" Alicia pondered. "You'll see." Chris smiled before heading for the door. "Rose, Serenity, you two just hang here and enjoy yourselves. I'll have staff bring you some stuff to nibble on while we're gone." he assured. "Have fun!" Rose smiled with a wave, Serenity glancing at him with a scowl before focusing on the TV and raising her hand to wave. Letting out a sigh, Chris nodded and waved back. "Better get your collar by the way." he pointed out, the snake pausing with an "eh?" and tilting her head before extending a vine and fetching it off the nearby drawer she'd placed it on. "We'll be going outside?" she asked. "Of course!" Chris grinned before opening the door for her, letting the snake pass through before he followed. "See you girls later!" he called out, both responding with a "bye" as he shut the door. "Alright then, ready?" he asked. "I suppose. The only problem is the lack of communication we'll have once we leave this area." Alicia point out. "Don't worry, we'll be fine. We were the last time we had to go without it!" Chris reminded with a smirk, motioning with his finger for Alicia to come closer. Raising an eyebrow, the snake lowered her head and found herself given a kiss from him, causing her eyes to shoot open and a flush to spread across her face until he pulled away. "Just thought I'd help myself a little before we moved on. That's okay, right?" he asked, the snake stuttering before raising up and nodding with a scowl. "You really should give proper warning." she replied. "Flustered ya too much huh? You ARE pretty red!" he laughed, causing the snake to grumble.

"Sorry, sorry... I love you." he smiled, Alicia glancing at him and nodding. "It's alright. I do as well." she replied before showing her own smirk. "Alright, lets go." he grinned before heading down the hall. "You're going to waltz about in tha...!!" Alicia asked, cut off when her use of telepathy faded causing her to grunt in agitation. "It's fine. You girls should have paid more attention in the lobby! A lot of people staying at the onsen walk around in these kimono's, it's part of the experience!" he grinned before a couple passed wearing similar outfits, Alicia looking down at them curiously as they gave the snake a wide eyed look, making their way by as Chris waved. Making their way into the lobby, Chris paused and faced the exit, Alicia bumping into his back by accident causing him to stumble forward. Scowling, the snake let out a grunt as he apologized. "Didn't mean to stop on ya like that. I was just thinking." he smirked, Alicia tilting her head curiously. "Go ahead and put your collar on, I need to pick up something from the carriage before we see about getting a bite to eat." he instructed, the snake looking toward the exit and showing a "blech" expression while donning her collar. Motioning for her to wait, Chris headed to the reception area, returning after a moment with a pair of socks and strange wooden sandals that made Alicia show a bewildered look as he sat in a nearby chair. Slithering up, she leaned toward them for a closer look, causing Chris to chuckle as he slipped on the socks he was given. "It's a service they offer here. They're called geta sandals." he explained before donning them and standing, tapping them on the floor to make sure they were on snugly. "There we go... Come on!" he grinned before heading toward the exit.

Making their way outside, Chris led Alicia along the building toward the right. "The area they keep carriages and stuff is right over here. Rapidash is in a building with other Pokemon so he should be well off while we're here." he point out, pausing when he noticed the stables and found Rapidash sandwiched in a stall between what appeared to be two neighboring mares on each side of him, both vying for his attention. "Oh, VERY well off!" Chris laughed, the sound causing Rapidash to jolt before facing him and showing a scowl. "Don't mind us, just passing by. You go buddy!" Chris grinned, causing the horse to twitch an agitated eye before the mares leaned their faces toward him while making flirty sounds and giving mischievous looks, making the stallion sweat slightly while Alicia rolled her eyes. Continuing along, they walked down a path next to the wall bordering the springs, finally coming to a large storage shed type of area. "Alright, they said ours would be..." he muttered before leading Alicia to one of the garage doors. "Lucky seven, that's us." he smirked, looking at the number overhead before taking a key out of a pocket within his kimono and unlocking the door, lifting it with a grunt making Alicia jolt back in surprise. "Just gotta fetch a little something and I'll take ya right back inside." he assured, walking in and looking around before finding a light switch. "There we go." he muttered while heading to the storage compartment of the carriage. Slithering inside, Alicia looked around and picked up the slightly dewy scent of the building, twitching her nose as he opened the storage and started rummaging. "These places do tend smell funny sometimes." Chris nodded, having caught sight of her reaction to the garage.

Finally managing to pull out his rucksack, Chris took a package out of it with a satisfied smirk. "Been working on this off and on for a good while now!" he chuckled, setting the package aside before adjusting his rucksack back inside their storage and locking it up. Curiously approaching, Alicia leaned toward what he'd taken out, only for Chris to jolt and snatch it before shaking his head. "Oh no you don't." he lectured. Pulling herself back, Alicia scowled causing Chris to stick out his tongue. "You'll spoil things! Just be patient." he affirmed while standing and tucking the package under his arm. "A right time and place, after all." he reminded, the snake raising an eyebrow as he went by and motioned for her to follow, closing and locking the garage door behind them. "Okay then... Go return this at the reception desk and we'll get a bite." he nodded before walking along the path they'd come from, Alicia continuing to eye the package curiously as she followed. Passing by Rapidash a second time, the horse was flushed and stern looking, almost as though he were struggling now to keep his composure as the two mares continued to cuddle and coo the stallion. "Hang in there tough guy. Welcome to my world!" Chris teased, getting an agitated grunt from the horse. "You ladies take care of him! You've got my approval so don't be shy now. He could use a little candy after all his hard work." he added, Rapidash jolting wide eyed before both mares nibbled on each of his ears causing the stallion to gulp. Laughing, Chris gave the horses a wave before making his way toward the entrance with Alicia, finally reaching the front and stepping back into the warmth with a relieved shudder.

"Whoo... Nippy out there in these things." he muttered, shaking off the cold. "You doin' alright?" he asked, turning to face the snake only to find her looming over him with an agitated look. "U-Uhh... I do something wrong?" he asked nervously. Letting out a grunt, Alicia motioned toward where they'd just come from with her tail before tapping his mouth with her vine. "Oohhh, it's what I said to Rapidash, huh?" he asked, the snake nodding before leaning her face toward his in a "what was THAT supposed to mean?" manner. "I figured I might get a lil' flack for that one." he laughed before waving his hand. "I was just teasing him was all. Besides, you know you girls CAN give me a pretty hard time." he reminded, Alicia scowling in response. "Come on now, no unhappy faces. Lets see a smile!" he grinned before scratching her chin, the snake caught off guard as she froze up before shuddering and showing a quivering smile. Noticing this, those in the lobby looked curiously at the somewhat feline snake before them, tilting their heads as they heard the satisfied hiss-like purr coming from her throat. Realizing they were in front of so many, Alicia snapped herself out of her state and pulled away, shaking the sensations out of her body before shouting at Chris in agitation as he laughed. "I just wanted to see ya smile!" he teased as she looked at the people around them and flushed, letting out an embarrassed groan. "Aw come on, you know you're adorable. They probably think the same thing. People can't help but notice a girl like you!" Chris point out, giving the snake a nudge and a wink before returning their storage key at the reception area. "Come on, I'll take you to the diner now." he coaxed before heading down a hall to the right.

Looking around again, the people in the lobby went about their business as Alicia passed by, the staff at the reception area watching the massive snake slither along their onsen as she caught up to Chris, glancing back at the staff with an uncomfortable look on her face as they muttered among one another. "Lets see, it should be..." Chris muttered. "Ah! There!" he point out, causing the snake to jolt before looking at an entrance covered by a decorative curtain, slithering up next to him as several men brushed the curtain aside, laughing as they left the area within before freezing when they stood before Alicia, facing up wide eyed and pale from the sudden sight of the large snake. Looking down at them, Alicia raised an eyebrow before glancing away, murmuring as Chris looked between her and the group. "She won't eat you. Her name's Alicia, say hello." he assured with a smile, the men nodding before offering a wary greeting and moving on around her. Watching them leave, Alicia looked herself over before glancing at the walls around them, growing self conscious about her size before Chris gave her a nudge. "Don't worry about it. Different people are gonna react different ways to how things are with us. Not everybody is going to know our story or accept us." he reminded. "I don't like admitting it, but letting Pokemon have free roam in places like this, especially larger ones at least, isn't something I guess a lot of people would find normal or acceptable." he smiled nervously, Alicia glancing away in silence. "But... I don't think that's a problem really." he added, the snake looking at him curiously. "The world thrives on certain norms... But it also thrives on those who are willing to break those norms too." he affirmed.

"There's always going to be something people are going to be uneasy or uncomfortable with... Things that will bother and annoy them. When it comes to humans, I think that tends to be one of, if not maybe our greatest flaw. Too caught up in what someone else is doing, and how they're doing it. Too busy trying to put ideals and rules over everyone's head." he admit with a sigh before smirking. "But... As long as we have people willing to go out there and tell the world what they dream of, as long as there are those willing to show love has no standard, that equality exists for more than just certain people..." he paused before looking at Alicia. "And species!" he added with a thumbs up. "I think humans have a lot of hope ahead for themselves!" he nodded, getting a smile from the snake. "Ah! There we go. Much better!" he grinned, causing her to jolt and glance away with a slight blush. "We were all created equal at one point a long time ago. Just because we changed that along the line, it doesn't mean we can't undo those changes just the same, especially if and when it's for the better." he affirmed. "Now then, time for a meal. And don't worry about other people. You can't make any progress if you're always worrying about what others think. Be a trend setter!" he instructed, getting a nod from Alicia before he led her through the entrance to the diner. Looking around, the place was filled with customers and tenants filling their stomachs while enjoying the oriental atmosphere, with the walls covered in traditional art from Eastern regions including mountains and lakes, foreign fauna and the like causing the snake to show an impressed sparkle in her eyes, stopping next to Chris at the register.

"Two please." he smiled with his fingers up. Looking at him, the waiter nodded before looking up at Alicia with a puzzled look, the man pointing at her with an "uhh" while glancing at Chris curiously. "Yeah, me and her." he nodded, the man looking at her again before shrugging with an "eh" and motioning for them to follow. "There we go." Chris smirked. Making their way along, they found themselves placed at a table against the windows, giving them a view of the mountains and a portion of the springs that local wild Pokemon were allowed to use for themselves. "Heh, now that I like." Chris smirked, noticing some of the guests and staff outside offering food to the Pokemon paying a visit while the waiter pulled chairs away to allow Alicia room on the opposite side of their table. Stepping back with a bow, the waiter put two menu's on the table, letting them know another waiter would be with them soon before returning to the register to help the next customers. "Alright, lets see here..." Chris muttered, setting his package next to him on the table before looking a menu over, Alicia pulling the second toward her and looking at the pictures curiously. "I've gotta make sure I've got room to eat with all of ya so I'll just get something to nibble on. I need to have something sent to the others too..." he remembered. "First of all, do you want something more focused on meat, vegetables, or something in between?" he asked, pointing out three pictures. Looking them over, the snake chose a picture of stir-fry, getting a nod from Chris. "Ahh, good choice. It can be kinda spicy, but I'll tell them to leave the kick out." he assured. "Far as a drink, tea or water? I don't think you're much for alcohol or soda." he shrugged, pointing out the drinks with the snake choosing tea.

After a few minutes, a woman finally arrived to take their order, smiling at Chris and looking up at Alicia in surprise before smiling at her as well. "For her the beef stir-fry, minus any spiciness though." he affirmed. "Some tea for her as well and for me... I'll take some of the cheese rangoon's, just a small order to nibble on and... I'll go with tea myself." Chris nodded, the waitress writing everything down before bowing and walking off. "Alright, now we wait a bit and dig in!" he sighed, sitting back and relaxing while Alicia glanced around at the others looking at her. After a moment, she noticed the wrapped up silverware before her and took out a spoon from the napkin using her vine, using it to look at her reflection. Seeing this, Chris shook his head and smirked before he reached out and took the spoon, causing her to jolt and glance away with a scowl. "Come on now, I just went over this. Don't worry." he coaxed while waving his hand. "If what someone else thinks of you HAS to matter, then just focus on me and what I think!" he affirmed. "Do I have to go over those eyes and that form of yours another dozen times before you finally get it in your head how awesome you are? Don't get self conscious on me now!" he grinned. "You know you're not scary or anything, you know you're not a monster, and so do I and a lot of other people and Pokemon we've met. Don't let a few random people who just aren't used to seeing a Pokemon like you up close make you feel otherwise. It's only natural some would feel wary and intimidated by having you around! It's not a bad thing, it just means they haven't had enough experience in the world to be used to a girl like you yet." he assured.

"Put it this way. The art on the walls here, it's pretty new to us. It grabs our attention and makes us admire it. That is what's going on with you. Around here your species is pretty rare, exotic. People are just confused and curious is all." he smiled. 'To make that drawn out explanation short, just like the stuff on the walls here, you're a work of art people just can't help but stop and take notice of. You make people feel in awe so they have a hard time responding!" he praised, causing Alicia to blink before looking over her body and blushing, muttering in an embarrassed tone as she looked out the window. After a moment, the waitress returned with their order, laying it out before them on the table. "Thanks a lot!" Chris nodded. "Before you go, I'd like to order..." he began, going over a few things and giving the waitress his room number so the girls had something to eat as he'd promised. Writing what he requested down, she nodded before taking their menu's with another bow, leaving them to enjoy their food. "Haaah, haven't had these in a while." Chris smirked before nibbling on a rangoon. "Ooooh, thaf's good wangoon." he shuddered, Alicia giving him a "don't talk with your mouth full" look as Chris took a drink of his tea and sighed. "Sorry about that." he apologized before unrolling his napkin and taking the fork out within. "Alright, now to see what you think of your food!" he grinned, putting some of her stir-fry on the fork and holding it out to her with his other hand cupped beneath it. "Ahhh!" he instructed with a grin.

Blinking at him, the snake flushed before glancing around nervously, muttering in an embarrassed manner as he held out her food while various people watched. "Come on, take a bite! It's okay." he chuckled. Looking at him and the fork, Alicia muttered once more before leaning forward, letting out a groan as Chris let out another "ahhh!" and put the food in her mouth. "Atta' girl!" he nodded as she backed away and munched on her food, continuing to blush while glancing away shyly. Putting more on his fork, Chris held out more for Alicia, coaxing her into taking another bite until she finally did. "There we go. Just like old times!" he smiled, readying another bite. "No matter how you look now, you'll always be that cute lil' Snivy of mine at heart." he affirmed before pausing when a group gathered on a small stage nearby, staff following with instruments and setting them out. "Huh, time for a performance? Didn't think one was scheduled til' later..." he muttered, watching as the group readied themselves. Looking at Chris while he was distracted, Alicia swallowed her food and showed a warm smile before taking notice of the package and finding her curiosity piqued once more. Raising an eyebrow, she glanced at Chris while reaching a vine out toward it as the musicians started playing a song for those in the diner. "Ohhh! Good choice!" he grinned, his voice causing Alicia to jolt before he turned her way again. "Ready for another...?" he began, pausing as she gave him a busted "uhhh..." type of look and sweat slightly. Noticing her vine, Chris scowled as she pulled it away. "That's bein' sneaky you know." he lectured, the snake showing a nervous and apologetic smile.

Crossing his arms, Chris looked at her for a moment before showing a smirk and letting out a sigh. "Well, it's yours anyway so whatever." he shrugged, taking the package in hand. "I was gonna wait until we were finished eating, but I guess now works too." he nodded while holding it out. "Here you go, open it up." he instructed, Alicia blinking at him in surprise before nodding it and taking the package. Leaning an ear toward it, she gave it a curious shake, noticing how light it was and tilting her head as Chris munched on another of his rangoon's. "Go won! Open!" he smiled, the snake scowling at him for speaking with his mouth full again as the rangoon stuck out from his lips. Letting out a sigh, she nodded and pulled the lid off the package, looking within and blinking before tilting her head once more, finding a cloth furled up within. "Take it out, take it out!" Chris coaxed excitedly, Alicia nodding as she reached in and started pulling the cloth from the box. Finding the fabric extending for several feet, the snake had a surprised look as she set the box aside and held the lengthy cloth in the air, looking it over curiously before facing Chris and giving him a puzzled look. "Doesn't it look familiar?" he asked, making her give the fabric a second look. "Focus on the coloring, the pattern..." he instructed, pointing out the green and golden design covering it. Thinking for a moment, Alicia's eyes suddenly widened as an "ooohh!" look appeared on her face. Standing up, Chris took the cloth and motioned for Alicia to lower her head. "This used to be that big robe I bought back on the Guardian..." he explained. "I cut it and made you that mini-robe out of it when you were a Servine, remember? I made sure to keep the leftover material and the robe I made for you." he added.

Wrapping the cloth around her neck, Chris adjusted it so it covered her collar. "By using the mini-robe and the rest of the material, I put this together for you behind the scenes. I've been working on it since we were on the ship actually." he chuckled. "I'm sorry it took so long. In order to keep it a secret I had to work on it when you girls were sleeping." he apologized before backing away. "There... Doesn't look too bad!" he grinned as Alicia raised up and looked down at her neck before turning to look at her reflection in the window. "I didn't think it'd be fair to have the girls dressing up while you were left out, plus you said you wanted something more fashionable once you started wearing that collar. So... I figured you could use that to cover up the collar and look good! It's a scarf made just for you! Ya like it?" he asked, crossing his arms with a smile. "I know it's basically a recycled kind of thing... But I really did put in a lot of work on it. A real labor of love." he nodded as she looked down at the scarf again and touched it with her vine. "Now you can put something nice on just like the others, and you can cover up the collar anytime you wear it. I never leave anyone out!" he affirmed with a proud smirk before sitting back on his side of the table. "Now, wadaya say we finish this up before it gets cold on us?" he asked, taking his fork in hand before readying her another bite of food and holding it out toward her, pausing when he saw the snake in a state as if lost in thought, still looking down at the scarf and feeling it. "Yoo-hoo, gonna let it go to waste?" he asked, causing the snake to jolt before facing him and looking at the fork. Holding it out further, Chris showed a warm smile, waiting for her to eat the food it held.

After a moment, Alicia leaned forward and took it into her mouth before backing away and munching, Chris nodding with a "good!" before readying another bite. However, as he held up another portion, he paused when he noticed the teary look on the snake's face, a blush showing as she sniffled. "You okay?" he asked, blinking in surprise as she swallowed her food and glanced away with a somewhat embarrassed scowl on her face. Leaning forward, she took another bite and backed away, grumbling as she munched causing Chris to smile and nod. "I'm glad you like it." he chuckled as she sniffled again. Taking the napkin on her side of the table into her vine, Alicia wiped her eyes before taking another bite of her food. "Geez, you're not allergic to the scarf are you?" Chris teased with a laugh, causing the snake to snap at him in embarrassment. Apologizing for pushing her buttons, he continued feeding her while those around them randomly watched curiously, out of both intrigue and confusion due to the human atmosphere they gave off despite Alicia being a Pokemon, with couples looking at one another and tilting their heads. Eventually, both of them finished their food and sat relieved, with Chris muttering about ordering more rangoon's while Alicia sipped her tea and continued looking at her scarf, feeling it with her free vine and showing a small smile on her face. Noticing this, Chris smirked while sitting back, his own tea in hand as he looked into the glass. "You be sure to take good care of that now. Can't count how many times I pricked my hands putting it together for ya! A lot of hard work and love went into it, so I want you to give it respect." he affirmed before looking at her.

"And to realize how much I care about you whenever you have it on, alright? Never doubt how important you are!" he grinned, causing her to blush again before glancing away shyly. "I love ya Alicia, always will no matter what." he affirmed, holding his glass out. Looking at him, the snake smirked and nodded in a "likewise" kind of manner, holding her glass out and tapping it against his before they continued sipping away until their tea was finished as well. Noticing the waitress, Chris raised his hand to draw her attention. "We're done I think. Got the total?" he asked before receiving the receipt. "Alright... Not bad actually." he muttered before reaching into his kimono and taking out his card, handing it over with a "thanks" before the waitress went to the register. "Hope it wasn't too spicy. I know they had to leave some in for the flavor." he point out, Alicia shaking her head in an "it was alright" manner as the waitress returned, thanking them for dining before gathering their dishes. Standing up, Chris paused and reached into his kimono again, handing the waitress several bills causing her to pause and blink in surprise. "For not judging. Sometimes a smile and a little understanding is all it takes." Chris waved before motioning for Alicia to follow, leaving the waitress looking at her tip before she showed a wide grin and continued cleaning their table. Making their way out, Chris stretched as he walked along the hall. "I like that place. Sometimes you try and get some rangoon's and they wind up terrible. Either too crunchy or too mushy, but that place, man. They know how they're supposed to be!" he grinned. "Hope you thought the stir-fry was just as good!" he added, looking back and getting a nod from Alicia as they went along.

Pausing in the lobby, Chris looked at a clock and smirked. "Guess we should be getting back to the room..." he point out, Alicia looking at the clock as well before glancing away with a blush. Noticing her expression, Chris chuckled and waved his hand. "Don't worry, we don't have to do anything. If you're not up for whatever we can just hang out for a little bit before I head off with Rose." he assured. "The point of this is to make you girls feel relaxed, have yourselves a good time. Don't worry about anything that makes you feel uneasy." he affirmed before heading toward the hall leading to their room. Looking at him, Alicia followed behind in silence, looking at her scarf again as well while losing herself in thought. Once they reached their room, Chris rummaged for his key before letting out an "ah!" and pulling it out of his pocket with a smirk, the sound causing Alicia to jolt out of her lost state as he used it to unlock the door. Stepping inside, Chris was greeted by a surprising belch from Serenity as she sat at the table with Rose eating what he'd sent to them, her back turned to him while the rabbit point and laughed with a "good one!" in response. "I'll say!" Chris called out, causing both girls to jolt in surprise and face him, Rose giving a nervous wave while Serenity blinked at him with her cheeks full, a can of soda in her hand. Quickly swallowing, the Pokemon flushed brightly as he laughed. "I didn't think a girl could let one rip like that, good on ya!" he praised, causing her to face the table and let out a humiliated groan. "You not supposed to hear that." she muttered, seemingly glowing with her face down. "I'm glad I did, that was awesome." he snickered. "I take it the snacks are good?" he asked while heading into the living area.

"Really good, I was starving." Rose sighed while nibbling a leftover cracker. "It okay..." Serenity added in a quiet tone, still embarrassed over Chris hearing what she'd done. Slithering in, Alicia shut the door behind her before clearing her throat, drawing attention to herself while making her way up to the girls. "Welcome back! Have a good...!!" Rose began, pausing wide eyed when she noticed the scarf around the snakes neck. "What with that look?" Snake have something on fa...!!" Serenity asked, pausing as well when she looked back at Alicia and noticed the scarf herself before scowling. "You get first and get present, lucky you." she grumbled. Raising her head, Alicia smirked with a nod. "Indeed, he made it himself. Impressive, no?" she asked. "He made that...? How? When?" Rose replied in surprise while facing Chris. "Say, rabbit right. When you have time to make present?" Serenity asked. "I just had nights I couldn't sleep so I worked on that." he replied. "Besides, it's only fair. You and Rose got nice stuff to wear while we're here. Alicia deserved something too, it's only right." he affirmed. "I guess so." Serenity scowled while crossing her arms. "It looks nice. That's from the same stuff as the other thing you had, isn't it?" Rose point out. "Indeed it is, very perceptive." Alicia smirked. "He turned a mess of fabric and that robe of mine into this fine thing." the snake giggled before glancing at Serenity and leaning toward her with a cocky grin. "Jealo--ous?" she asked, causing Serenity to twitch an eye. "Alright now, come on. Don't rub it in." Chris smiled nervously. "You girls are just even now is all. Everyone has something nice to wear, that's that." he affirmed, walking between them and coaxing Alicia back.

"Stupid snake..." Serenity muttered, causing Chris to look down at her as she sat with her arms and legs crossed while pouting. "Hey now, no need for that. Just remember, you'll get your turn." he assured, the Pokemon glancing back at him before facing forward with a "hrmph!" in response. "Are we going out here or not?" Alicia interrupted, having slithered to the sliding screens leading to the spring outside. Looking at her, Chris sighed and nodded before looking at Serenity again. "Don't worry, I have something special in mind for you too. Just wait and see." he assured while putting a hand on her head, Serenity remaining silent for a moment before showing a small smile. "Better..." she replied while reaching up and holding his hand. Nodding, he pulled away with a smile before heading toward Alicia and sliding the screens open, the girls watching as Alicia slithered out and he followed behind her. "Remember what I discussed with you two now! Respect each other and respect privacy. You two will get your turns, and you'll expect the same thing, right?" he asked, the two giving him a nod in response, albeit begrudgingly on Serenity's part as she faced away with her tongue out. "Who want to see nasty snake?" she asked. "I heard that!!" Alicia snapped. "Good!!" Serenity shout, causing Chris to sigh while Rose smiled nervously and waved for him to go on. Nodding, he shut the screens before facing the springs. "Alright, first off..." he muttered, looking around before finding the bathing area to the right. "So what are we doing?" Alicia asked while following. "Before you get in a spring it's customary, and manners, to wash yourself first." he explained. "Isn't it a tad too cold to do so outside...?" the snake point out with a slight blush.

"Not really. The ground here actually gives off a lot of warmth, and when you combine that with the heat coming from the springs it actually feels pretty good. It's only the breeze that makes it chilly here." Chris point out, noticing a place to hang clothes on the wall. Undoing the sash around him, he started pulling it off before pausing and looking back at Alicia, showing a nervous smile as the snake flushed with a jolt and glanced away. "Y-You know, it's like I said. You don't have to do anything here. I just kinda planned this under the assumption you'd want to. I'm not forcing anything." he laughed nervously. "If you want, we can take our turns here, then sit a bit in the spring. If you're not ready for anything more than that, I'm not going to make you do stuff. This is for you, remember?" he affirmed while turning away, hanging his kimono up and removing his sandals and socks. "So... You wanna wash yourself first, or should...!!" he asked, jolting when Alicia nudged her face against his back. Turning, he saw the bright and shy look on her face, the snake pulling her head back while glancing away. "I-It's not that I'm against anything. I just feel a little strange is all after the fuss I made back at the inn. Plus, I did tell you we'd do something in a more appropriate place, didn't I?" she asked. "N-Not that I'm very good at doing so." she muttered with a slight scowl. Looking up at her, Chris smiled before shaking his head. "Your reaction is enough for me. You got all emotional over it so I know you appreciate the work I did! Don't worry about it." he affirmed.

"So... You're happy enough with the way I behave alone?" she asked, glancing at him as he turned. "Pretty much... I thought the way you reacted to getting that was really cute. It made all the work worth it, so no worries." he added while looking over the bathing supplies, with fresh towels and cloths hanging and different kinds of shampoo and lotions lining shelves. "Say, they go all out." he muttered, curiously looking things over. "Enough for everyone... Good." he nodded. "So uh, which one of us washes up first?" he asked, turning toward Alicia and blinking as she put her scarf and collar on the hangers next to his kimono. "There's no need for either of us to go first." she replied, turning to him before glancing away with a slight blush. "We've bathed together before... I see no reason why we can't now." she added. "Y-You sure?" he asked. "Don't let my behavior scare you away from doing things with me, is what I mean." she replied. "I apologize, again... I know saying that too much can make it meaningless, but I do mean it." the snake affirmed. "Things such as this... It's my way of making up for that, I suppose. And it helps me express myself, as you said, without having to in so many words." she nodded. Looking at her for a moment, Chris smirked and nodded back. "Well, alright then." he replied before grabbing a towel, stripping his boxers making Alicia jolt and face away with a flush as he wrapped the towel around his waist in their place.

"Too sudden?" he asked with a laugh. "S-Sorry, still something to get used to." Alicia apologized before facing him. "You've seen me like that plenty of times by now haven't you?" he replied with a curious look. "W-Well, that's true but..." the snake muttered, glancing toward her scarf he'd made before shaking her head. "N-Never mind! I'm fine!" she assured with her nose up. Blinking at her, Chris smiled nervously and nodded. "If you say so." he replied while reaching for the shower head and turning it on, waiting for the temperature to change. "Since you wanna bathe with me, do you mind if I clean you up first? It has been a little while, so I'd like to give you a nice rub down again! Plus, you ARE a lady after all. Common courtesy, right?"." he point out while feeling the water streaming from the shower head. "Good to go." he smirked, facing the snake and waiting. "Well? Sure you wanna do it? Looking down at him, Alicia nodded before slithering before him. "Alright then." he nodded back. Stepping in closer, he held the streaming water against the snakes body, causing Alicia to jolt and tense slightly before relaxing with a sigh. "Atta' girl." Chris coaxed while wetting her down. Once she was wet enough, Chris pulled the shower head away before taking a bottle of soap and lathering up one of the washcloths. Apologizing, he took the cloth in hand and started rubbing her body, motioning for the snake to lower her head so he could lather up her neck before gradually making his way toward her tail. Once he reached the end of it, he used his hands to massage along its length, reaching the tip and stroking it causing Alicia to tense up and blush, looking back as he finished up before taking the shower head in hand and rinsing her off, the suds sucked down the drains beneath them. "Okay then, now you're all cleaned off and ready to go!" he nodded. Looking at him for a moment, Alicia faced away in a hesitating manner, causing Chris to show a curious look, blinking at the snake and tilting his head. "Did I do something wrong?" he asked. "Y-You uh..." Alicia stuttered. "I... Did?" Chris replied. "If it's your tail, I just figured you'd like that." he smiled nervously. "Y-You didn't do anything wrong!!" the snake snapped, causing him to jolt before she glanced back at him. "Wh-While you're back there..." she added, hesitating for a moment. "Is somethin' botherin' ya somewhere?" he asked, looking her over. Biting her lip, Alicia looked back at him before facing forward, shutting her eyes tightly and slowly lifting her tail. "Wh-While you're back there...!!" she repeat, struggling to ask him to take care of another spot as she held her tail up. "Y-You!! Th-There!! Y-You know!!" she suggested in a panicked manner, her face seemingly glowing as she lowered her head with an embarrassed groan. Blinking at her, Chris looked at her tail for a moment before smiling with an "oh..." and nodding.

"You sure it's okay?" he asked. "J-Just... Do something. I-I guess. Whatever!!" the snake snapped. "T-Take the offer before I change my mind!!" she ordered. Looking at her, Chris could see how humiliated the snake was, her face showing the effort she was putting out as she kept her tail up. "Alright then." he smiled before walking behind her and lowering onto his knees. "I'll take good care of it." he added, Alicia turning all the redder and biting her lip.
