The Misadventures of Bandit: The Unlucky Lemur By: BerserkerB

-Lemurs are not Chew Toys-

It was night when the thief descended upon the Tialga household. The light was his enemy, and he did well to avoid it. He moved swiftly between the shadows of cars. Then, he dashed behind a bush, slid quietly up to the house, and waited. The house was dark, and no light shined through the window above him. He carefully lifted his head above his covering, peering out into the street for any sign of life. With all silent, save for the occasional cricket, the thief put his robbery into action.

He tested the window, and to his luck it slid open. What fools would leave their window unlocked at night? For this thief, they were the best kind of idiots. The window opened with ease, and he slid right into the old house. No one saw him enter.

The dark house gave off an eerie feeling. He shook it off, knowing that old homes always felt creepy at night. The wooden floorboards creaked under his weight; each step he took would have issued a warning to anyone in the house - if anyone had been here. The thief was not worried about pets; he knew the Tialgas had no pets registered. This was going to be walk in the park.

As he stepped into the next room, the soft glow of the moon shined upon him, illuminating him in the otherwise dim room. Suddenly, he heard a floorboard squeak, but he had not moved a muscle. It came again, and again, and again. Slowly, the thief circled around to face the noise. He saw them emerge from the shadows; two glowing white eyes amidst a veil of darkness. The thief froze in place, his body stuck in place from the shock. His lower lip quivered as the eyes drew nearer, the sound of the creaking floorboards adding to the suspense - adding to his fear. Whatever the eyes belonged to unexpectedly started growling. It was a low and deep growl, and not one he had ever heard before. The creature stepped into the faint light of the moon. The thief's eyes went wide, and he screamed.

Trisha and Tristan, the twin tigers, arrived home about an hour later. "I loved that scene where the zombie's head explodes, and then the rotting flesh went everywhere!" Trisha shouted as they entered their home.

"You and your crazy love of exploding body parts," smirked her brother. "No wonder you can't get a man, you're not feminine enough." Tristan flipped the light switch, illuminating the short hallway.

"I'm plenty feminine!" she replied with a nudge to her brother's ribs. "I just haven't found a man I find more loveable than appetizing." They hung their coats in the closet, but just as Tristan was putting his coat away, Trisha heard a strange noise. "Say, did you hear that?"

Tristan listened intently. "Yeah...it's like a whimpering."

Instantly, they both had the same thought. Their eyes went wide, and they shouted in unison, "Drake!" Both siblings dashed down the hall, fear and worry driving them. Trisha hit the wall as she skidded into a turn, hitting the next light switch before leaping into the next room. Tristan was not far behind.

What they saw as they came into the room stopped both tigers in their tracks. On the floor of the family room was a lemur, dressed in black, with a large sac lying next to him. And on top of him lay Drake, the siblings' pet dragon. The wingless dragon lay sprawled out over the lemur's body. His rust colored, scaly body was as big as a Saint Bernard, but twice as heavy.

Drake looked up at his owners with a bright smile. He barked an odd roar, then jumped off the downed lemur and tackled Tristan to the ground. "Hey Drake, stop it! Down boy! Heel! Heel!" Tristan shouted, while Drake began licking him profusely.

Meanwhile, Trisha was busy helping their "guest" to his feet. She was no fool, and wrenched the lemur's arm behind his back, while her other arm grabbed around his neck. "Alright you, talk! Who are you and what are you doing in our home?"

Her strangling arm forced the lemur to choke for air. She loosened up, but only so to not kill him. "I-I'm Bandit," he coughed.

"I know you're a bandit. But what is your name?"

"That is my name!"

The tigress tightened her grip again. "You mean you're name is Bandit, and you are also a bandit?" Bandit gave her weak nod. "That seems like an oddly contrived coincidence."

Later, after Trisha had found some rope to tie up their little intruder, and after Tristan had finally managed to push Drake off, the two tiger twins were deciding what they should do with their primate prowler.

"I say we should eat him," said Trisha.

"I agree," replied Tristan. They seemed to be decided, except for one thing. "But who gets to eat him?"

Trisha boldly proclaimed, "I should. You ate the last guy who came in our house, so it's my turn."

"Hey that one didn't count! How was I supposed to know you were going to eat him? I mean, you weren't in even in the house, and I come home to find some hot piece of meat, bound and gagged on the couch."

"You should have known he was mine!" Trisha got right into her brother's face. "You just won't admit that you were jealous that I brought home a hot piece of ass, and you didn't!"

Tristan's fur stood on end. "Well unlike someone else I know, I don't go around parading in skin tight shorts, and showing off my curves to every guy I meet on the street!"

"Ha! How about that little fishnet number you wear to your little gay bars? That's right; I've seen you sneak out, wearing nothing but a fishnet shirt, a g-string, and a pair of buttless-leather-chaps!"

While the twins continued their arguing, Bandit, the meal in waiting, was taking his time easing towards the exit. He figured if he could slip away while they were arguing, he could get out the door before they even noticed him missing. His plan might have worked, if not for a certain pet dragon that was standing right behind him.

Bandit's head bumped against Drake's chin. The lemur titled his head back, only to have Drake's curious gaze meet him. The rust-colored dragon chirred and tilted his head from side-to-side, studying Bandit with the utmost interest. "Heh heh... Nice lizard...thing." The dragon licked Bandit's face with his long, slimy tongue. Drake's curious gaze changed to delight, and Bandit had the unfortunate pleasure of watching a dragon lick its scaly lips in hunger. Bandit's ear bent back, his pupils instantly shrank, and he quivered in fear. Drake opened his muzzle, giving the lemur a quick glimpse into the dark, pulsating gullet.

"Oh yeah! Well your mother's a whore!" shouted Trisha.

"Trisha, we're siblings! She's your mom too!"

The tigress stopped yelling for a moment and did a double-take on her words. "Oh yeah... But still, I think I deserve to eat him."

"Well why don't we just ask him who he would rather be eaten by?"

"Well why don't we?"

"I think we should."

"Me too."

Finally at an agreement, the two tiger twins shook paws and turned their attention to Bandit. Their jaws dropped when they saw what was happening. Drake was gulping away at the lemur, and had already ingested nearly half of him during the time they were arguing.

"Drake no!" the both shouted. "Drop him!" They both lunged at Bandit's legs, each grasping one leg with both paws. They tugged at the lemur with all their might, but the dragon held on strong.

Drake growled like a dog tugging on a toy, pushing back against the floor with his forelegs, snarling playfully. He gulped again, pulling Bandit's hips into his slimy maw.

"No Drake! Bad boy, you let him go this instant!" Tristan yelled. The tiger's face contorted as he tried to tug Bandit out, but Drake's throat muscles and jaws were proving too powerful to overcome.

Trisha also tried using verbal reprimands. "This is not a toy, Drake! Lemurs are not chew toys! Drop him now, or I'll get the spray bottle!"

Drake's growling stopped when she spoke of the spray bottle, and his grip on Bandit grew slack. The tiger twins managed to pull the lemur's hips out of their pet's maw, but it was a short victory. Drake's belly gave a low rumble, and the dragon's resolve to fill his hunger beat out his fear of being sprayed by water. He lunged forward, his maw agape. Bandit's lower half went quickly down the tight, slick gullet. Drake's jaws clamped over Trisha and Tristan's paws, causing both tigers to yelp and let go. Just as they pulled back, Drake tossed his head up and slurped down the rest of his tasty lemur meal. His jaws snapped over Bandit's feet, and a resounding gulp sent the final bulges in his throat down the quick journey to his belly.

Trish and Tristan stared with wide eyes and slacked jaws. Drake's belly ballooned out as Bandit filled the tight sac. The lemur squirmed around in the dragon's stomach, still fighting for his life. Drake licked his lips, looking so satisfied with himself. The pet dragon turned, and bounded off to his bed in the kitchen. His full tummy swayed as he trotted.

Trisha and Tristan followed, but Drake had already plopped down on his bed, lying on his side by the time they got there. The two tigers knelt down next to their pet, and watched as the lemur continued his fruitless struggle for survival.

"Look, you can see his face," Trisha pointed out as Bandit's facial features pushed against the stomach walls."

"How much you want to bet he'll be gone within the minute," asked Tristan.

"How about you shut up, and tell me where we're supposed to get another meal like him?"

Tristan scowled. "You don't have to be such a bitch about it."

"A bitch!" Trisha shot up and started going on a rant about her brother's attitude. In retaliation, Tristan began arguing back. They spat practically the same insults, and really went nowhere with the argument.

Meanwhile, Drake was busy enjoying the fruits of his labor. His belly gurgled and quivered as the acids inside did their thing to his food. He gave a sudden belch, which quieted the tiger siblings for a split second. Drake licked his lips, still tasting the fabulous lemur on them, but also savoring a different flavor; which reminded him of his owners.
