Part 6.
Theo tried to explain until his wife cut him off and stormed right up to James. Before James could begin to open his mouth Texra took over and greeted Audrina. Using a tone of voice that befit a true tribal leader but, his mom wasn't impressed. "I don't give a damn who you are I asked my Son a question and he'd better answer." Audrina replied. Texra's lips curled exposing her fangs trying to refrain from hitting the woman.
Now the former chief prides herself on being cool, calm and very collected. This was the first time someone had the gall to speak to her in such a rude tone. Unfortunately the hyena's temper boiled over and she set her sights on his mother. "SUCH, IMPERTINENCE IF IT WASN'T FOR, JAMES I'D RIP YOU APART!" She roared. To enforce her rage Texra slammed her fist into sidewalk cracking the cement.
Even the ground and house shook as a result of the power the chief displayed. Kazie's eyes were huge as she watched the chief panting to calm herself down. That expression of power proved to be a wake up call that she wasn't a weakling. More so than she has seen in the past perhaps Texra is just like her younger sibling. Unless this power of her's comes forth only when the former chief is angered.
<No, Texra has never been the type to let her emotions control her actions. Granted I've seen her get mad in the past but, she strives to remain level headed. So something about James mother's attitude had to of rubbed her the wrong way. To be honest I'm not fond of her myself regardless I need to be there for James.> Kazie thought. Despite Texra's display of power Audrina was rattled mentally but, not physically.
The mature human woman wasn't about to be intimidated by these anthros. Before things could escalate further James answered his mother's earlier question. She didn't even permit her own son to finish as she slapped him across the face. "Leave here right now James and take those oversized freaks with you. Don't you even dare to return unless you're married to a human female, understand?" Audrina stated.
Of course Kazie and the others didn't appreciate being called freaks very well. Fortunately for James' mother all four women restrained the urge to harm the woman. "Let's go girls it's painfully obvious I won't be her son again until we break up. Since that's not happening, anyway we've over stayed our welcome. Besides Gerald paged me he'd like to talk to us about something at the new place." James replied.
With that the group climbed back into the large van, drove back down to the street. Kazie sat in the cab with James while Texra and the others sat safely in the back. With the connecting sliding door open it allowed them to chat with James and Kazie. For some strange reason their affectionate human didn't have much to say. It was understandable after the encounter they just experienced with his mother.
The way James was gripping the steering wheel it was obvious he was upset. Kazie reached over and placed her hand onto his thigh as the van came to a stop. While waiting for the light to change James exhaled deeply and grabbed her's. "I'm alright ladies what happened back there came to pass like I figured it would. Who knows when you ladies become pregnant my mother might change her tune." He replied.
"I highly doubt it James your mother is far too stubborn for her own good to. Than again you could be right becoming a parent and a grandparent is a blessing. For now we'll let the gods reveal that information at the proper time my pre-mate." Texra stated. Nodding alright as the light went from red to green allowing them to continue driving. Not long after James pulled onto the highway and arrived about three hours later.
After finding a suitable place to park the van, everyone climbed out of the vehicle. Gerald stood by large bay window talking with who appeared to be the contractor. "Ah, just in time umm, James could I borrow Ketria for a few minutes, please." He asked. James motioned her over while telling her to help Gerald with anything he needs. She went ahead of the others as the contractor asked if he could get her exact height.
By building the halls and stairs to accommodate Ketria's stature should work fine. Since she's the biggest of the group it's easier for the crew to build to her standards. Once he had all the information he needed then the bulldog had James come over. Curious to learn what his plans for he first floor of this brick building are gonna be. James told the canine to hold on a second and fetched something from the van.
He came back a couple minutes later holding a strange folded piece of paper. Unfolding it on an empty table revealing a floor plan for a simple yet modern club. As for the gym equipment that's for their use, the architect took the plans to review. She walked quietly over to her desk, sat down and compared all of her notes. Watching from where they stood as the vixen went over James little business plan.
Slowly but, surely this content smile began to appear on the silver fox's muzzle. Next she flagged her boss and James over so she could share all of her findings. Turns out by building things to Ketria's scale it won't alter costs of the deadline. Fortunately the budget hasn't had any huge expenses but, there's still a lot to do. "Umm, miss do you know if there's anything I can do to lend a hand?" Ketria asked.
"Actually if you ladies are itching to do some work I can put all of you to work." The bulldog said. Kazie stared at the canine making the fifty year old canine feel like an inch tall. "My crew is getting ready to put some steel beams and support posts in the cellar. They could use some help lifting and holding them into place while they're secured." He added. Kazie gave, Ketria and Texra the okay head to the basement and assist.
"Trust me those two are more than capable of handling things by themselves. You might want to inform your staff to behave or I'll have to dig their graves outside." Kazie warned. Doing as suggested the English bulldog went ahead to warn his crew. Once informed they had Texra and Ketria move where they'd be the most useful. The pair hoisted the half ton beam into position as the crew bolted it in securely.
As the pillars went up Ketria noticed a young male hyena amongst the workers. Curious to know if he hailed from their tribe or from any of the neighboring ones. Fortunately Texra grabbed her shoulder and whispered to leave the young male be. Pouting as the supervisor approached then asked them to bring some trash out. Of course Texra and Ketria were happy to lend the crew a hand with the big stuff.
Meanwhile back on the first floor Lenecia had found a place to sit and think. The smell of sawdust and silicon bothered her hence why she sat out on the sidewalk. Even Kazie was bugged by the smells ebbing from the place but, stood by James. Mainly to keep her human safe from harm despite there being no danger present. When James yawned it told her that it was getting close to bed time for everyone.
Nuzzling up against her human and whispered they should head back to the hotel. Today has been quite stressful for him and he needed to get some food and sleep. "Alright, Kazie let's go get the others then grab dinner and turn in early tonight." James said. With a peck on the cheek she fetched Ketria and Texra and joined them at the van. Where James drove them to a fried chicken joint where they enjoyed the food.
By the time they returned to the hotel parking lot it was well after ten o'clock. Sadly the bed wasn't big enough for five people to sleep together so they improvised. Using all the cushions and whatnot to make a large enough bed to sleep together. That proved to be an interesting way to sleep for the human but, it was enjoyable. James awoke the next morning only to feel Lenecia still sleeping behind him.
Looking around the bedroom where he heard Kazie and the others talking. He couldn't make anything out through the closed door but, didn't sound important. At least from what he was able to hear so he gently slipped from Lenecia's grasp. Next he threw on some undies before joining the others out in the living room. "Morning ladies umm, what's with all those strange colored stones?" He wondered.
"These stones help us keep track of when all of us will be going into heat again. Since Lenecia is the troupe's healer she makes sure that we check our stones often. Now that we've all become intimate with you, she stressed that we double check." Texra replied. It was a smart suggestion on Lenecia's part and he worries about his own fortunes. Considering that most female anthros tend to be overly demanding of their mates.
When it comes to these titanesses James feared for the well being of his manhood. Shaking himself silly knowing they'd be extremely gentle when that time comes. Besides none them would be going into heat for at least another two months anyway. According to what their stones told them even after Lenecia doubled checked. Next she flagged James over so she could inspect his wound and rebandaged it.
His wound had closed up nicely but, it was still red telling her that it's still healing. Cleaning it with a warm wash cloth first then applied the last of the herbal ointment. James still winced slightly causing her to look up and caress his cheek softly. "Damn, that's the last of the medicine I need to go find an herb seller, James. Another five days James and these stitches can all be safely removed." She pointed out.
Texra took upon herself to fetch James a clean pair of clothes from the bedroom. While Lenecia began putting a fresh bandage on his wound until she returned. Once it was taped securely to his chest, Lenecia kissed her human on the lips. Just as Texra placed James' clothes next him then stole a kiss from her human. Not wanting Kazie and Ketria to feel left out, once dressed he kissed them also.
Ketria nudged him in the back of the heading then got into a sparring stance. "Don't worry James she's merely going to block your attacks I'll be teaching you. Granted you're capable of handling yourself we'd like to show you a few tricks. Not only that you've been favoring your left side more than I'd like to see, love." Kazie said. Agreeing with her assessment and agreed to do some lite training with Ketria.
She made sure he used his left arm not only offensively but, defensively as well. All the while making sure she didn't hit that spot or allow him to reinjure it. Well until the troupe's human mate waited for an opening then got in a friendly fondle. Willingly grabbing a hold of Ketria's left 78 triple O cup breast making her yelp. It was more out of surprise than anything while the others found the event hilarious.
Especially at the fact that the strongest amongst them was caught off guard. Granted what James did was considering a dirty trick but, it worked for the human. Caressing her boob in the exact spot where he groped while giving him a sour look. As an older sibling Kazie saw their bond growing stronger and it made her happy. To see someone unafraid to approach her sister and pull her right into their arms.
"Sorry about my grabby hand Ketria I saw an opening and seized the opportunity." James said. Honestly she wasn't upset with her mate she was surprised more than anything. She asked him not to try another stunt like that in the future if he could help it naturally. "It might've been a cheap trick but, you have to admit James is resourceful." Texra replied. Taking a few moments to fix the living room before heading over to the dining hall.
Before James could fix himself a plate his cell phone rang it was his dad calling. Telling the troupe to go on ahead without him there's call that he needed to take. James went back outside then slid his thumb across the screen accepting the call. "Hi, son no words can express how sorry I am for what happen the other day. I'd like to come visit you and your ladies if you'll permit me to come see them." Theo stated.
"I don't have a problem dad and I doubt my ladies will so as long mom stays home. If she tags along I won't be able to guarantee anyone's safety should she start." James replied. Not bothering to argue with his son on that notion and James gave his dad directions. Theo should arrive around one o'clock this afternoon hopefully without his mom. Knowing that Kazie and the others would more than likely kill his bigoted parent.
Since their first meeting made Texra show a side, she's never revealed before. That was something nobody wants to see again especially James and his father. James headed back inside the dining hall only to see his ladies stuffing their faces. Kazie was nice enough to set aside a plate of food after he was done with his call. Sitting beside her as she handed it to him but, before James could eat a bang erupted.
All four warriors jumped to their feet ready to take action to prevent a bad situation. Fortunately one of the busboys was startled when he caught sight of the troupe. Again women of Lenecia, Texra and Ketria's stature are pretty rare in the states. The poor feline froze in shock upon seeing how bountiful James' pre-mates were. Which in turn caused him to drop the tub filled with dishes bound for the kitchen.
Luckily for the feline only a couple of plates broke when the tub hit the floor. His boss didn't get upset when the young man told him when he saw all four hyenas. "My father still wants to get know all of you so he'll be visiting later this afternoon. More than likely my mother won't be tagging along after the stunt she pulled." James said. Texra scowled she hoped for another chance to put that woman in her place.
Remembering that Audrina was James' mother and therefore she can't be harmed. Despite having a strong desire to tear the human female's spine from her body. James wouldn't forgive her therefore she buried the feeling where it can't be found. Besides his father seemed like a good soul and wasn't as close minded her. During her mental debate everyone returned to the room where they lounged around.
Three and half hours later Theo's full sized truck pulled next to the rental van. Taking a deep breath before turning off the engine then opened the driver's side door. Locking his truck up behind him and made his way towards the room and knocked. Ketria opened it then welcome the mature male in where he sat on the recliner. "Let me begin by apologizing for my wife none of you deserved that." Theo began.
"Audrina used to like anthros until she was betrayed by one she treated like family. Ever since that day Audrina has viewed all anthros as her enemy even all of you. Personally I wish she'd simply confront to the one that hurt her and settle things. That's enough of talking about her, why don't you ladies tell me about yourselves." He informed. Kazie shared their story with them, Texra went next but, Lenecia wasn't interested.
Her past wasn't something she liked to share but, did with James not long ago. James promised he wouldn't tell the others unless she felt they deserved to know. Besides what ever demons Lenecia has they'd have a hard time finding her here. Due to being exiled it prevents anyone from their homeland to track them down. Sadly this also means Kazie and the others can't set foot back on their native soil.
As Theo got to know all four of James' pre-mates and couldn't believe their loyalty. The older human male had to admire the troupe's devotion to protect his son. "Umm, son have you called the twins or Danna since you're return from Africa?" Theo asked. Of course the entire troupe turned in his direction wondering that very question. More so at the fact James never mentioned that he had siblings let alone three.
"Well, I can explain that Caleb and Kerry aren't exactly fond of their brother. James has done more with his life than either of them have done since high school. Naturally the twins seem to have a varying distaste for anthros due to my wife. When James was in high school he meet a very sweet black wolfess named, Mysti. Now I don't have to tell you what happened when she came to visit." Theo informed.
Texra was the only one of the troupe to growl sourly under her breath in response. "Danna is the oldest, the twins are my middle children and James is the youngest. She left when James started the third grade to open her business in another state. Sadly the only person she contacts regularly is James when he isn't on assignment." He added. James went on to tell them his older sister had married a wonderful male anthro.
"To be honest dad I've been meaning to get in touch with her since coming home. Sadly there's a lot going on that requires my full attention but, I'll give her a call." James replied. Knowing his big sister she'll definitely come from up state to meet his pre-mates. This will also give him a chance to finally meet her husband she's talked about. Either way it'll be great to see Danna again especially since it's been ten years.
Granted they wrote each other fairly often but, he'd still like to see her in person. "Kazie, you were the last one to see my phone could you please fetch it for me?" James asked. With a quick bob of her head she got up from her seat and headed into the bedroom. This evil grin appeared on Ketria's muzzle then without warning she pounced. Poor James didn't see her coming as she buried him tightly against her large bosom.
Sadly she misjudged her strength and the pair crashed onto the floor below. Pulling away to checking to see if James was hurt only to see him smiling broadly. "Apparently she really wanted some snuggle time though that's a first for me." Theo smiled. As Ketria's short tail wagged vigorously side to side while nuzzling his cheek. "Trust me, Theo she's being quite tame about her affection towards him." Kazie replied.
Handing the device James asked for to him then he typed in his password. Next he scrolled through his contacts until he reached Danna private number. It was her voicemail number after the message played James left a short message. Telling his sister that he'd like for her come visit him when she wasn't busy. Along with dragging her husband along so that he could meet the guy in person.
Once he was done James hung up the phone then tossed it onto the couch. Since Ketria wasn't planning on letting him go anytime soon not that he minded. She would've liked to remove her top so she could wedge James between her tits. Of course she'd probably get scolded by the others and give his father a heart attack. "Well, I should be heading home before my darling wife throws a fit." Theo pointed out.
Shaking his son's hand and wishing his ladies goodbye then headed for the door. It wasn't long before Theo's truck came to life and backed out of it's parking space. Soon after James' phone began ringing with a tone that's meant for private numbers. Texra was the closest to the device, she picked it up than handed it over to James. Swiping his thumb across the screen and placed the phone up to his ear and spoke.
"Howdy, baby bro I got your message sadly I can't visit for at least six weeks. Though I'm up for a small get together afterward if you don't mind waiting naturally." Danna said. He didn't have a problem with it, since her job consumed a majority of her time. Besides James' new place should be ready to move into in roughly four weeks. "Sounds good to me sis that'll give the contractors time to finish their work." James replied.
"Oh, so you're finally making that dream of your a reality good for you, James." She stated. It was at this moment James let his older sibling know about his four girlfriends. That kicked off a large serious of questions along with the demand for pictures. So James asked Kazie and the others if they'd sit together while he took a photo. Ketria coiled her arms around him as she stood up them placed him back down.
Getting his phone ready while his sister was still on the phone waiting patiently. Once the troupe was in position James snapped a few pictures and thanked them. Next he adjusted the photos then sent them in a text message to his older sister. "Bloody Hell, James you've gotta be pulling my leg, there's no way your dating them." She remarked. The shock and annoyance in her voice so James called Kazie over for a moment.
Handing her the device, she placed it up to her ear then said hello to Danna. "Yes, James happens to be our pre-mate, right now no we're still courting him. Our kind tends to court for two years before a proper wedding will be conducted. Though I don't think your mother will be permitted to attend when that day comes." Kazie said. Of course Danna asked about what happened and Kazie was all to happy to share.
"Let's just say that Texra nearly tore your birth mother into two separate halves. By some mere miracle the former chieftain took all of her rage out on the sidewalk. To be honest she's never displayed such raw power let alone such emotion before. Your mother isn't afraid of provoking people regardless of what they're capable of." Kazie added. Danna was quick to back up everything Theo had said during his short visit.
"You have my sympathy Kazie my mother is a royal bitch and will never change. Trust me when I say this James and I regret having to call that woman our mother. Anyway Kazie I need to be going tell my brother I'll see him in a month and a half." Danna said. Next she hung up her end of the phone leaving Kazie to try doing the same herself. James motioned Kazie to hand over the device so he could do it before she broke it.
"Oh, your sister told me told me to remind she'll be coming to visit in six weeks." Kazie informed. Nodding alright as he put his phone into sleep mode and placed it onto the table. The majority of their day was uneventful until it got closer for everyone to turn in. Each warrior cleaned up, brushed their fur and stripped out of all their clothing. When it came for James to get ready for bed the troupe decided to handle that task.
Four pairs of hands went to work carefully stripping the human of his clothing. Naturally all four hyenas got a lust filled glimmer in their eyes and it spelled trouble. "Tonight our darling male we're going to try making love as group if that's alright." Lenecia purred. James blinked a few times than swallowed hard as he laid down on the bed. Ketria moved up behind him, next she pulled him onto her lap and held him tight.
From that moment on one by one each warrior made slow love to their human. Before they could try for a third round James told his ladies that he was spent. Coiling around their treasured mate as sleep embraced the group into it's arms. Where for the remainder of the night they would stay until the following morning. As the first rays of the morning sun peeked through the blinds of the bedroom.
After breakfast James and the others headed over to the new place to help out. Making all the work move faster thus bringing the initial deadline much closer. Three weeks later the contractor approached Texra asking if she'd become his apprentice. Her work ethic, eye for detail along with her strength impressed the English bulldog. Texra told him she'd think his offer over to make sure it was something she wanted.
Knowing full well that James will support her no matter what she decides. Being refugee's and exiled criminals finding employment hasn't been easy for them. All the more reason for him to get his business up and running so they can work. Sadly they'll all need to get is a G.E.D first this way he can employ his ladies legally. Lenecia has been the only one of the group to learn how to used his laptop computer.
She's been using it to learn more about modern medical treatments and practices. Kazie and Ketria they haven't shown much interest in a particular field of work. Due to Ketria's large size and paranormal strength delicate work isn't a good idea. As for Kazie that's a whole other story being the leader she likes to be in the middle. If only to make sure that her troupe is being cared for and shown proper respect.
More than likely she'd make a great general manager when he opens for business. "Okay, first things first my loves, all of you need to obtain a proper education. You need at least what amounts to a high school diploma before getting a job. Ironically my sister, Kerry is a teacher and helps folks get the equivalency certificate. Though if I know her I doubt she'd consider it if only just to spite me." James stated.
"James, you'll never know for certain until you give your older sibling a phone call." Texra replied. Doing as the chieftain suggested then called his older sister and crossed his fingers. Kerry picked up after the fourth ring so James got right to the point of his call. Like he figured she didn't want to but, as a teacher she's obligated to lend a hand. She agreed to swing by the hotel this weekend to test all four of James' pre-mates.
Mainly to get a baseline on their intelligence so she can build a curriculum. The weekend couldn't have come fast enough for James or for his older sister, Kerry. She spent almost the entire day with Kazie and the others learning a lot about them. To the female's surprise she was actually getting along with Ketria and Lenecia. While showing respect towards Kazie and Texra hoping to avoid getting beat up.
When she was all done Kerry asked to speak to her brother outside for a moment. "You're girlfriends are pretty smart despite their origins they'll get their G.E.D's quick. Registration isn't for another two weeks but, if you want I can sign them up for you. Don't give me that look James, I'm not comfy that's all but, I gave them a chance. You certainly got your hands full with these ladies little brother." Kerry replied.
Agreeing with his sibling while telling her that he wouldn't have it any other way. Next she fetched the sign up paperwork from her satchel then had James fill it out. Taking the forms into the other room where he filled them out without interruption. Once complete Kerry double checked everything and placed them into her bag. Hugging her little brother goodbye then James walked her out to where she parked.
"Thanks, Kerry I don't know how to repay you for coming all this way to help me." He stated. Telling her brother not to worry about it and climbed into her car and drove away. As James returned to his room he caught sight of Callie entering a room close by. Luckily she didn't notice him as she began tearing the room down for cleaning. He walked back inside his room and spent the rest of the day with his lovers.
Over the next several weeks things were pretty peaceful even after the crazy move. All the hyenas were presently in school with James' sister, Kerry as their instructor. In addition to regular schooling Kazie was taking driver's Ed to obtain her license. With the weekend coming up James was getting things ready for Danna's visit. She called James the other day to inform him know when she'd be stopping by.
James woke up early Saturday morning to do some last minute cleaning and junk. "Good morning James is everything alright you're not normally up before sunrise." Texra smiled. Hooking her arm around the human's neck then pulled him against her bare breast. Next she kissed the top of his head and squeezing him softly before letting go. The former chieftain helped him finished with his chores along with breakfast.
Naturally the scent of food being cooked roused the others from their slumber. One by one they came out of their rooms in various states of dress and sat down. James brought the food over to the table where Kazie made sure everyone was served. Texra placed the used pots and pans into the sink so they could be washed later. James sat between Lenecia and Kazie, Ketria and Texra sat across the table from him.
The transition was a little rough the first couple of weeks since they moved in. Since the gym on the second floor was completed the troupe is often using it. Of course when they're not occupied with school or helping James with the club. Considering James' still struggling to think of a theme that'll bring in customers. Until an idea comes to him the club will remain a blank slate for the time being.
Around two o'clock that afternoon Danna and her husband pulled up out front. "James, it looks like your eldest sister is here shall you and I go out to greet them?" Kazie asked. Nodding alright as he rose to his feet then followed he over to the front door. Lenecia, Texra and Ketria moved towards the bay window and watched curiously. When Danna's husband exited the car Lenecia's eye grew wide with concern.
{It can't be, it simply can't be how could he possibly survive the plague?} Lenecia wondered. She had spoken softly enough hoping that the others didn't hear her mumblings. Turning her attention back outside as James welcomed his sister and her husband. Shaking the hyena's hand firmly as he introduced himself as, Abdalla Kereenyaga. Turning to Kazie the male gave her a more appropriate greeting befitting her rank.
"Welcome to our home Danna and Abdalla please come inside to meet the others." Kazie said. With that Kazie took the lead and escorted their guests into the large building. "Hmm, what's with the empty canvas on the first floor, waiting for inspiration?" Danna asked. James rolled his eyes at his sister's observant nature as they continued upstairs. They no sooner reached the door to the apartment when it suddenly swung open.
Abdalla swallowed hard when he meet her, Ketria and lastly a shy Lenecia. The moment their eyes locked the male approached Lenecia but, stayed quiet. Before anything could ruin it, James had everyone give those two some privacy. "Look, it's painfully obvious that those two come from the same tribe. We should give them a little space to talk, if things turn ugly Ketria break them up." James said.
Nodding alright as they sat down at the large dining table and watched intently. {You're buzzing with questions, mainly how I survived that day eight years ago. Believe it or not I wasn't anywhere near our homeland when the fire plague struck. Our tribal leader sent me and four others on an important mission to improve relations. By the time we returned our home we found it was nothing but, cinders.} Abdalla began.
{Naturally we searched for survivors, gathered the all dead then buried them. I had my team gather what food, weapons and medicine that hadn't become spoiled. Next we returned to our ally's tribe hoping they'd take us in after hearing the news. Leader Cudoon couldn't accept all of us only the youngest members of my team. Leaving myself and my little brother, Ashon to find another place to call home.
Granted it wasn't an easy decision but, I decided to leave the land of our birth. The first three years since moving to the United States was rough but, we managed. Once I got a steady job and Ashon began college when Danna and I first met. As it turns out it was love at first sight, we courted for two years before marrying. I did meet her mother in passing one day and saw the type of person she was.
Honestly during that brief moment I understood Danna's reasons for leaving. I'm sorry, milady you must have questions please go right and ask until your happy.} Abdalla informed. Lenecia sat there in the window the entire time he spoke processing his story. Nothing sounded out of the ordinary while listening then rose to her feet. {I'm glad to know that I'm not the only member of our tribe still alive.} Lenecia replied.
"James, you're the resident linguist mind telling us what was being discussed." Kazie said. He looked at everyone then shook his head no saying it's their business. Despite all the hardships they've faced in the past at least they've found happiness. "Abdalla has my sister while the four of you have me to drive you crazy." James replied. In response to his heartfelt yet, smart ass remark Texra flicked him in the head.
Not overly hard but, enough to let James know that his remark wasn't funny. Even though James was laughing richly despite getting thunked by the former chief. "Excuse me everyone, Danna could I have a word with you in the living room." Lenecia said. Curious to know why the troupe's healer wanted to discuss with her in private. Once there the two women expressed their feelings regarding their respective mates.
With a friendly handshake they rejoined the others then enjoyed some lunch. While they ate Danna still found it hard that James was engaged to these four amazons. It was clear as day all of them were crazy about James and would die for him. Abdalla would endure the same pain if it meant saving her from a horrible outcome. "I'd like to know how long all of you are planning on courting my baby brother?" Danna asked.
"Seeing as we hail from different tribes with unique rules regarding courtship. We don't have answer that would satisfy all our customs without sparking a fight. Since you and Abdalla have been married for a few years what do you suggest?" Kazie replied. All she told the troupe was when the timing was right they'll take that big step. "Enjoy, this part of your relationship trust me time will fly by." Danna smiled.
The married couple stayed for a couple hours before leaving to pick up Ashon. Promising to visit again towards the end of the month with Abdalla's brother in tow. James escorted his sister and husband out to her car then watched them drive off. As he stood there watching the vehicle fade into the distance he felt quite relieved. Seeing Lenecia gain a bit of closure to her past while receiving his sister's approval.
Things were finally coming full circle and that's when he was struck by lightning. Rushing past his ladies, through the door and up to his studio on the top floor. He wasted little time drawing up a proper theme that would drawn in customers. It wasn't until the following morning when he came down the stairs for breakfast. Where James shared his designs then made changes according to their feedback.
"My love the idea you have is great but, why not give them a taste of our heritage. If you think about it, it's certainly different and not something folks can experience. Sadly we'd have to craft the artifacts from each of our respectful tribes though. Honestly that's the easy part, the problem is they need a holy man's blessing. Preferably one from each of the tribes that the four of us come from." Texra stated.
Scratching the back of his head trying to find a proper solution to this problem. "You recall that I was blessed by a holy man from the Savannah would he do? I know of a few places that sell the wood and possibly all the items you require." James asked. Texra happened to be the only one of the troupe dressed she agreed to tag along. Besides it has been a while since her and James have been alone with one another.
Not that she has reason to complain things are more fun when done in a group. How ever a little one on one time can be just as good, as the pair walked outside. Not before getting a list of items that Kazie and Lenecia need to recreate the artifacts. The custom van James was the equilvant of what amounted to a cargo truck. Oddly enough he also has a CDL license which is still valid for another three years.
A couple of hours later the van pulled into it's reserved parking space in the back. Ketria met them at the loading bay then brought everything to the service elevator. Where it ascended up to the fourth floor where Kazie and Lenecia were waiting. "James, we really hate to ask you to do this but, what we're doing is a private thing. Should we need anything we'll give you a call over the intercom, alright." Kazie said.
Taking the hint, James had some phone calls to make to get their stuff blessed. After four hours on the phone, he was left with one option going back to Africa. Not something he wanted to do but, it was the only way to get the job done right. Knowing Kazie, Ketria, Texra and Lenecia they will want to go exile be damned. That's something he needs to avoid or he'll be the one up on the executioner's block.
Kazie and the troupe spent several days working on those artifacts for the club. While James hoped to hear back from the holy man he knew in the Trade Grotto. Farijika had just taken over for his grandfather as holy man a few years back. The last time they saw one another Farijika had given the human a public blessing. Due to all of his efforts to help the sick, wounded all the while reuniting families.
Hopefully someone from the Bengali office sent a messenger out to the Grotto. He's the only person James completely trusts to handle such a sensitive matter. There's one kink in this chain would his pre-mates permit him to do the ceremony. Being lost in thought James jumped when the house phone began ring behind him. Snatching the device off it's base then hit the button and placed it against his ear.
"Hello, James it's Mira from the Bengali office we got in touch with Farijika. He's agreed to leave the grotto and perform what ever ceremony that you desire." She said. Telling her that he's still wanting on the items in need of it are still being crafted. In addition Kazie and the others haven't signed off on him performing the rituals. "That's fine we informed him of the situation and he said that he'd wait." She replied.
Next she gave James the sat phone number to the agent assigned to the Grotto. Thanking Mira for all her assistance then wished her well before ending the call. From there he put the device back in it's base then made his way towards the kitchen. Where he began cooking dinner for his ladies then brought it up to the top floor. Upon entering the room he found all but, Ketria sleeping while leaning against stuff.
Oddly enough she was beginning to nod off when he appeared so she stood up. Quickly helping him with the trays of food he carried then Ketria woke the others. "I'd ask how things are coming along but, judging from the mess you've been busy. Have any of you talked about my suggestion using the holy man I happen to know. I got in touch with him and he's agreed to perform the ceremony for you." James said.
"My, that's awful nice of him but, only a holy man from our tribes can do it." Texra replied. James was quick to counter her that he's versed in dozens of blessing ceremonies. It's more than likely, Farijika is familiar with theirs and he can call to confirm. "Please, get him on the phone James and would it be alright if I talked to him?" She asked. With a nod he walked towards Lenecia and grabbed the phone next to her.
Dialing the number and hoped that the agent would answer his sat phone. Sure enough after four rings he answered James asked him to track down Farijika. Asking James to wait a few minutes seeing as he was in the middle of prayers. Knowing better than to interrupt James listened to him preach to the people. It wasn't long when the sermon ended and Farijika said goodbye to all of his patrons.
A couple moments later he took the phone from the agent and said hello. Greeting the holy man in his native tongue then passed the phone over to Texra. "Farijika, I'm Texra chief of the Keambiroiro tribe could we talk for a few moments?" She asked. Upon hearing her title as chief he was more than happy answer all of her questions. Her main question was in regards to what blessing ceremonies he was familiar with.
"Ma'am, I'm well practiced with at least thirty different types from many tribes. Do you know what tribes your compatriots belong to and what their traditions are?" Farijika replied. Texra told him that she believes Lenecia hails from the fallen Elimisha tribe. As for Kazie and her twin sister Ketria they belong to the Ancient Mshindi Clan. Without warning all Texra heard was the satellite phone clattering to the ground.
The fifty three year old Manned Wolf heard the chief correctly but, he was stunned. Once he composed himself he picked the phone up then asked if she's still there. "Please, forgive me, I didn't mean to cut you off like that I was caught off guard. You see I was close to members of the Mshindi tribe hearing two of them are alive. Was great surprise and relief to this male but, it's unfortunate you've been exiled." Farijika stated.
"Fate may have been cruel to us in the past but, we've found a silver lining. As my darling pre-mate told me when all of us thought everything had been lost. Despite all of our might James has proven to be far stronger than we ever imagined." Texra smiled. Happily agreeing with the chieftain and told her to cherish that human of theirs. He went on to tell Texra that he'll find a way of coming there to hold the ceremony.
Before she could question the holy man he replied saying his reasons are his own. Respecting the older male's reply then wished him safe travels before hanging up. Texra hit the End Call button and put the phone back onto it charging base. From there she informed everyone regarding the current situation and future visitor. Things are certainly moving in an interesting direction but, something still lingers.
To be concluded.
