The Model - Chapter Ten
#10 of The Model
This is a gay themed story that has been sitting on my computer for a while, so I decided to develop it into a new short series. After being hired to help with photoshoots for an underwear company, I developed an obsession with one of their models, a handsome Doberman by the name of Kurt Hauser. I never thought I'd stand a chance with someone like that. Until now...
(I dedicated this chapter to anyone who has had to sit through a terrible job interview).
Chapter Eleven to follow soon...
"You all set?"
I glanced at the airport terminal building as Kurt's Lotus drew up outside. My stomach was churning slightly, but I put on a brave face and nodded. "Good," Kurt replied. I could see the sadness in the Doberman's eyes, but he forced a smile onto his muzzle. "Message me about how it goes bud," he added. "I will," I replied with a smile, before leaning over to give him a kiss. Inside I was feeling excited about the interview, but sad at the prospect of leaving Kurt for the day.
If it is just for the day?
"I would make out with you but I don't want to cause a traffic jam," Kurt said, forcing out a laugh. I responded by kissing him again, quickly slipping my tongue into his muzzle before I broke off and reached for the door handle. "I love you Alec," Kurt said firmly. "I love you too Kurt, I can't wait to see you when I get home," I replied, opening the door. "I'll have dinner on the stove, and call me when you land and I'll come get you," Kurt replied as the door closed. I blew the Doberman a kiss as he waved and drove off. A heavy, numb feeling gripped my stomach. After doubting whether or not I had a future with Kurt I already missed him.
Be optimistic, you're off to explore new opportunities here.
I made my way through security and found my gate number marked on the screen. There was some news about strike action with the airline I was flying oh posted underneath, but my flight didn't seem to be affected though cancellations could be expected. I realised I hadn't packed a book so I purchased a couple of magazines from the newsstand and sat at my gate. Feeling surrounded in a wide space by people I didn't know made me miss Kurt and his family. The Dobermans had stood at the door and waved as Kurt and I had driven off. Please come back anytime Mia had said. I sighed and browsed the two magazines I had bought; the first was a movie magazine and the other was about cars. I opened the car magazine and saw two ads, one for a new Audi sports car and another for Wolf & Coyote. It showed Doug sitting on top of a blue motorcycle, holding a helmet under his arm and wearing nothing but a pair of black briefs. Even after the editing I could still see the outline of his bulge. I smiled as I recognised the photo since I had designed the set for it a month ago. I usually found the idea of fast cars and sexy underwear a hot combination, but seeing Doug in the ad made me feel wistful.
Will I ever see that world again?
I tried telling myself not to be silly. Even if I didn't end up working there anymore I could still go back and visit them. Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, we would like to start boarding passengers seated in Zone A as well as our diamond club members. I closed the magazine and stuffed it in my backpack before making my way to the line.
A moment later I was settling into my seat next to a plump Cougar who took up all of his seat and my armrest. The plane thundered down the runway and into the air. I ran through my head what I was going to say when I arrived in LA. I'd heard of KQS Studios but had done some further research found it stood for Kowalski-Quint-Sampson. It was always good to research wherever I was being interviewed at beforehand in case they asked, although my interview for Wolf & Coyote hadn't been very formal; just Carl asking what I was interested in and if I was okay with working with nearly nude guys. The flight to LA didn't take long at all but I kept running over the answers in my head for the duration.
The plane touched down at LAX forty minutes later and I joined the rush to get to the cabin door. I stayed with the crowd until I reached the arrivals exit and made my way to a waiting yellow taxi outside. "Where ya going?" the Leopard behind the wheel asked. "KQS Studios," I replied before the driver nodded and pulled off. I suddenly felt a pang of annoyance when I remembered how expensive regular cabs could be. The drive took me along the freeway which immediately became choked by traffic. I sighed and glanced at the time. I still had over an hour before the interview and the studio wasn't too far from the airport compared to other movie studios, but I knew the traffic in LA could be a nightmare. Slowly, we crawled along. The smog shimmered outside but glanced around with a growing feeling of excitement; I was in the place where the movies I had watched in the theatre had been made and soon I could be working on them.
Should I feel excited? I'm going to have to probably leave Kurt behind, just after you met his family. But meeting someone's family doesn't commit you to anything. The fact you keep having to question everything about your relationship could be a sign...
I was shaken from my thoughts as I realised we were now on the move and the haze was clearing. The taxi rounded a corner and I got an unbroken view of the city below and the sparkling blue sea beyond.
It's normal to question things.
I shut all my thoughts away. It was time to concentrate on the interview. The freeway dipped away from the view of the city and I could see billboards advertising various things at the side of the road; hotels, casinos, car insurance and then one for Wolf & Coyote; I couldn't help but chuckle and feel wistful again as I recognised Kurt and Doug on the billboard, both clad in blue briefs while the backdrop depicted a beach scene. Another set I had helped to create.
We turned off the freeway and were now heading down a more industrial quarter. "This is it," the taxi driver replied, turning under a sign that read KQS Studios. A Fox security guard by a gate walked over. I wound down the window. "I'm here for a job interview, with Justin Vannucci," I explained. "Drive over to the visitor parking lot, you'll need to get a pass from the building there," the Fox explained to us. The Leopard nodded and drove us into the studio complex. It was exactly how I imaged a movie studio would look like; large white buildings that contained the sets, electric cars ferrying people of various species from building to building, some in costume. I saw a car go by carrying a group of Otters dressed in what looked like Edwardian outfits. The taxi dropped me off outside the building near the visitors parking bay and I made my way to the front door. The lobby inside was decorated with movie posters that the studio had produced, although as I glanced around the titles I couldn't say I recognised any of them; The Great Woo, Attack of the 50 Foot Lion, Kill Phil, Robot Pirates. A female Corgi was sitting behind a desk and I ambled nervously over. "Hi, I'm here for an interview with Justin Vannucci," I explained. "Okay, just take this visitor ID card and give me one moment please," the Corgi replied, handing me a card which I clipped on my shirt. I sat and watched as she picked up a phone to call Justin.
A minute later a Cheetah wearing a pinstripe jacket with tie-dye style t-shirt on underneath appeared. "Hi, I'm Justin Vannucci," the Cheetah replied, gripping my paw. "Please, come this way." I followed the Cheetah through the door and across the studio lot to the next building. It was one of the white painted sound stages and I felt my heart beating as we walked inside. I was finally getting to see the inside of a movie studio and what I could be working on. "What's being made in here?" I asked. "You'll see," Justin replied as we walked inside. There was a set in the centre of the room, not unlike some of the pieces I had designed for Wolf & Coyote. It depicted a side street with a couple of ATMs sitting in the middle.
Is this for a movie or for an ad?
Justin led me to a side room where a Vixen in a sleeveless shirt was sitting behind a table texting on her phone. "This is Charlene," Justin explained. The Vixen looked up from her phone briefly. "Hey," she said, smacking gum in her mouth. "Pleased to meet you Charlene," I replied, forcing an enthusiastic wag from my tail. "Take a seat," Justin said, gesturing to a chair on the other side of the table. I sat as the Cheetah took a seat next to Charlene. "Okay, you have been working for the Wolf & Coyote underwear company, we've seen a few of your set designs and they look really awesome," Justin continued. "Really cool," Charlene added, smacking her gum and quickly looking up from her phone before texting again. "But, what made you get into design?" Justin asked. "I wanted a way to build up my portfolio, and I thought it was a fun and unique way to do it," I explained. "For me, designing sets isn't just a job, but something I can pour my creativity into." Justin nodded as I spoke. "And you felt Wolf & Coyote enabled you to do this?" "Yes, it was a company that allowed me to flourish and I'd now like to apply that creativity to a place like this studio," I replied. "That sounds awesome," Justin mused, before turning to Charlene. "Don't you think?" "Yeah, awesome," the Vixen replied monotonously, glancing up from her phone again. "So, what made you want to work in a movie studio?" Justin continued. "It's something I always aspired to do," I admitted. Justin smiled. "Well, I'm gonna be honest and skip all these interview questions. I actually want you to help us build a set for this current movie we're working on, our current designer quit and we need to do some reshoots ASAP. Can you help us?" "Sure," I replied.
Okay, that was unexpected.
"Awesome, are you staying nearby?" Justin asked. "Um, I only flew over for the day to take part in the interview," I admitted. "I was going to fly back this evening..." "Oh, no need. We'll arrange for you to stay somewhere nearby," Justin cut in. "We'll also reimburse you for the flight after you leave. Do you need to tell the folk at Wolf & Coyote that you're not coming back just yet?" "Well..." "I'm sure they'll be fine, hey you're working in the movies now. No more building sets for guys to prance about in their underwear on. Don't you think Charlene?" "Yeah, totally," the Vixen said, looking up from her phone. "I'll get Ethan to show you to the set and explain how it works here. He'll be your other partner," Justin continued. "Okay..." "Ah, here he is! Ethan this is the new kid I was telling you about," Justin called to a brown Labrador in a denim jacket walking. "The Yote from Wolf & Coyote?" He asked, walking over. "Yeah, show him to the set," Justin instructed. "Follow him, he'll show you around." The Cheetah added to me before his phone started buzzing and he answered it. I gingerly stood and followed Ethan away from the table. "What's Wolf & Coyote?" I heard Charlene say.
I followed Ethan was he walked me to the set. It was similar to what I had helped to design at Wolf & Coyote, only bigger with more lighting and wiring about. "So, you worked on movies before?" Ethan asked. "No, just sets at my previous job," I explained. "Well, this place doesn't require much experience but it pays well," the Labrador said gruffly. I wasn't sure what he meant, but I didn't ask any further. "How much do you get?" I asked, and my eyes widened a fraction as Ethan explained. "That's a lot. Oh what's this movie about?" I asked. "It's called The ATM," Ethan explained. "They're gonna be shooting a scene in a little while, Justin wanted you to watch." Ethan led me up a metal staircase to a gantry above the set. Part of my mind was worrying that I only had one set of clothes if I stayed overnight, but the other didn't want negativity to spoil what I was about to witness.
We watched from above as a Wolf actor and Lioness actress got onto the set. I didn't recognise either but I was still excited none the less. "That's the director, Brandon Greene," Ethan explained, gesturing to a brown Bear seated in the director's chair. "He can be a total monster sometimes." I was too distracted watching to listen properly. "Okay Stephanie," the Bear called to the Lioness. "I want you and Jeremy to walk along slightly, pause and say your line dang, I haven't got any cash and Jeremy you go with there's an ATM over there and the two of you walk to the ATM. Go it?" Both the Wolf and Lioness nodded. Rolling! The cinematographer called. Okay... Three... Two... One... Action!" I watched as the two actors made their way down the street set. "Dang, I haven't got any cash." "There's an ATM over there!" Cut! Stephanie could you say your line with a little more exasperation! Everyone in place, and action!" "Dang, I haven't got any cash." Cut! More urgency, like you gotta get money for a taxi ride home or you're screwed, actually think of it like you've gotta get a taxi ride as you need to get to the hospital as you're about to have your cub! "I didn't realise I was about to have a cub." It's just something to think of to make you seem more desperate. Okay, ready? And Action! "Dang, I haven't got any cash." CUT! "Amazing," I breathed as I watched. "If you think so," Ethan sighed.
After watching the director shoot the scene, Ethan explained the plot of the whole movie before taking me back down to the table where Justin was waiting. "He wants you to try and design something so he can see how you interpret what he describes," the Labrador explained. We found Justin waiting by the table. "Ah, Adam isn't it? Could you take a seat here please," he said gesturing at a chair. I wondered whether to correct him but decided not to. "Now, I'd like..." Justin began before his cell phone began buzzing. The Cheetah turned away and answered as I sat down. Justin disappeared into another room and I kept waiting.
Half an hour later I was wondering whether I should look for someone but Justin reappeared. "Okay Adam, right I want you to design a set based on what I describe," he said, handing me a sheet of paper and a pencil. "Right, I want a bank. But not just any bank, a bank that looks dull, an ordinary bank that no one will think twice of if they walked into it. In the corner however, is an ATM. A dark shadowy corner far away from anything. The other ATMs are to the left, no wait to the right and there is a cashier window next to them. No wait, how about opposite the door." I tried keeping up as Justin continued his description and drew what came to mind.
At Wolf & Coyote Carl gave me freedom to design what I wanted based on the kind of underwear being modelled.
"And you can faintly see the parking lot outside, and there is a burger joint opposite, no wait what about a milkshake joint."
Slow down I can't keep up.
"Hey, Charlene should there be a burger or milkshake joint opposite the bank?" "What bank?" "Oh forget it." I finished my sketch and handed it to Justin, not really having paid much attention to what he was saying. "Awesome, looks just how I described it. Now, I'd like you to continue this tomorrow." "Okay," I replied, forcing a wag out of my tail. "If you head back to the main lobby, Charlene has sorted you out a hotel and a car to take you there," Justin explained, before taking my design away.
A minute I climbed into the waiting car feeling wiped out. I wasn't sure what I had just been through, but it was bizarre and interesting to say the least. The taxi drove me back down the freeway and towards the airport. I glanced up at a plane taking off and felt a heavy feeling in my heart. I should be flying back to Kurt that night, but the studio wanted me to stay. I decided I would call Kurt as soon as I got to my room. The taxi drew up outside the hotel and I saw it was a smart, but nondescript looking place, the kind of hotel where businessmen would stay. I thanked the driver and made my way to the lobby where I was told my room was waiting for me. The room was on the third floor and was modern and functional looking like the rest of the hotel. The window faced the airport and the place shook slightly as a 747 thundered overheard.
Will I sleep at all tonight?
I opened my laptop to check my emails and saw my payslip from Wolf & Coyote had been sent through. It was substantial, although not as much as Ethan claimed to have been paid. I weighed my phone in my paw and was about to punch in Kurt's number when it began buzzing and my mother's cell number flashed up. I swiped to accept it. "Hello mother." "Alec, I was calling to see how this interview went?" If she's calling to ask me about something that's a good sign. Time could well be a healer. "It went well," I replied. "And what are your work colleagues like, how much does it pay?" I repeated what Ethan had said. "Impressive, well I think you should go with this position." "It's tempting," I replied carefully. "Well, you need to consider these things, like how you will provide for yourself. Are there any nice women there?" "I'm sorry?" "Any nice women," my mother repeated. "Well, I already have someone. I've got Kurt," I replied. "Well... I know, but your father and I were still wondering if you would change your mind about the whole gay thing," my mother continued. I knew rule number one was not to lose your temper, but I didn't care at that moment. "Look mother, I'm not interested in women. That's not going to change!" I snapped. "Please can we not discuss that again." My mother made something between a choking sound and a gasp followed by a muffled curse word before she hung up.
I sat on the bed, reeling and feeling dazed.
I was raging so much that I forgot to call Kurt and lost track of time. I eventually glanced down at my phone to see that the flight I was supposed to leave on was departing.
Great, now what do I do?
I knew I had to call Kurt. I punched in his number and waited. "Hey bud," Kurt's voice said as he picked up. "Doesn't your flight leave now, has it been delayed?" "Not quite," I sighed. "The studio wanted me to stay, but I wasn't sure about that, so I thought about flying home but I got distracted due to an argument with my mother." "Oh," Kurt's voice said flatly. "I'm really sorry bud. Can you catch a later flight?" "I could," I replied. "The studio claimed they would reimburse me for travel, but that was after I left." I opened up my laptop and began searching. A jolt of shock coursed through me as I saw there were no flights after mine. "Fuck," I sighed. "What is it?" "That was the last flight back." "What?" Kurt gasped. "You're kidding, I thought they went until late." "Apparently not," I sighed, gazing at the screen. "It seems they have cancelled all flights after the one I was supposed to be on due to the strike action and there's no flights until tomorrow." "Oh," Kurt replied and there was a minute of silence. "So, how did the interview go then?" He eventually asked in a flat tone. "Interesting, I did get to see a movie shoot which was cool," I replied, my voice perking up slightly. "I'm working on a movie already, it's a horror flick called The ATM." "The ATM?" Kurt repeated. "Yeah, it's about an ATM that comes to life and eats people," I explained. "That sounds... interesting," the Doberman replied. I could hear a hint of sadness in his voice. "Well, I'm glad it sounds like it went well bud." "Thanks, oh and Kurt, I love you," I said, feeling guilty that I would not be there for dinner. "I love you too Alec," Kurt said, although the sad tone was still there. "Alec, I... oh actually don't worry." "Go on Kurt," I encouraged. "I was just thinking, well, if this is what you want to do, I won't stop you. But I was thinking how happy I felt when my family were being so friendly to you," Kurt's voice cracked slightly. I wasn't sure what Kurt was getting at but I felt another pang of guilt. "I'm glad they liked me," I replied. I felt a sudden rush of emotion and let out a felt yip and sob. "Alec, bud are you all right?" "This has been a really hectic day," I sighed. "The excitement at the studio, arguing with my mother, flights getting cancelled." "Life is like that, you have funny what the fuck moments and depressing moments a second later. I found that out quickly in the marines," Kurt explained. "It's okay though bud, I shouldn't have mentioned my family and stressed you out." "I do want to see them again," I admitted truthfully. Having a group of friendly people around me felt appealing at that moment, whether it was Kurt's family, Chadwick or the other models. Above all, I wanted Kurt near me in an intimate setting.
Even over the phone Kurt could sense my desperation. "I want to do something to put a wag back into my Coyote's tail," he eventually said. "Are you laying down Alec?" "Yeah, I'm on the bed." "Okay bud, I want you to take off your clothes," Kurt teased. I placed the phone down and stripped out of my clothes until I was just in my briefs. "Which pair of underwear do you have on?" Kurt asked. "The green camo briefs from our last shoot," I replied. "Good choice," I heard Kurt growl playfully. "Now, I want you to start rubbing your sheath through the fabric. Caress it and your balls using the soft fabric." I began stroking my sheath and balls through the material as I did when I used to jerk off alone. "Heh, I imagine you did that the one time you stole my underwear from the washroom," Kurt chuckled. "How did you know about that?" I gasped. "It became pretty obvious the more I thought about it, I find it kind of cute actually," Kurt replied. "Now, keep stroking that sheath. I'm sure a bulge must be forming now." A bulge was indeed forming in my underwear as my cock began emerging. I began rubbing the silky fabric against my shaft. "How's that bulge looking?" Kurt asked. "Bigger," I replied in the most seductive tone I could muster. "Good, now you can get your dick out," the Doberman growled. I slipped my briefs down slight and my cock poked free of the waistband. "Now grip that shaft and start jerking." I did as the Doberman instructed, stimulating and teasing my dick until the surging feeling began. "Keep strokin'" Kurt growled. The domineering tone in his voice turned me on even more and I gasped as warm cum suddenly splashed from the tip of my cock over my chest. "Fuck," I panted. "Good boy, now you've got me nice and hard for the shoot this evening," Kurt chuckled. "Oh, right," I sighed. The feeling of pleasure inside me vanished. "Ah shit, sorry bud. That was a silly thing to say," Kurt sighed. "I wasn't planning on doing anything with Doug or any of the others. You're my mate now, we only have fun when it's the two of us from now on and include our friends like Doug when we want to." "It's okay," I panted. I could hear Kurt breathing at the other end as he struggled to say something, but I didn't want to end two phone calls in a row on an awkward note. "I love you Kurt, and I'll be thinking about you tomorrow." "I love you too Alec," the Doberman replied as his voice perked up. "I'll say hi to all the guys at the studio for you. We're gonna miss you at the shoot, but hang on in there bud. It's cool they've already got you working on a movie, even if it sounds... well, it's cool none the less." "Thanks Kurt," I replied, feeling a little better. "I'll come back tomorrow." "That makes me really happy, honestly," Kurt replied. "I love you Alec." He repeated before hanging up. I lay back on the bed and knew I should shower owing to the stickiness on my chest.
I feel I should go back, after my mother hung up on me I want to be in Kurt's arms, but let's see what tomorrow at the studio brings.
