I cannot tell you what will happen then or who will be left standing. However I can tell you not to put off tomorrow what may make you happy today. He peeked around the corner of the kitchen area to see Mark feeling of Wolf's chest fur. Lucas smiled as he stood back and allowed the two to finish their conversation. He then walked into the kitchen, “Mark I've got the stakes thawing out. They should be ready to cook a little later." Mark nodded, “thank you Lucas."

Wolf smiled, “Mark has helped us pick names for ourselves. I chose Wolf as its what everyone calls me anyway." Lucas nodded and smiled, “well I'm glad he helped you do that. Everyone deserves a name. In fact it was the first thing Mark asked me was my name. No human had ever cared enough to ask before him." Wolf nodded, “we were just talking about various things. The news was filled with bloodshed. Riots were spreading as mobs rounded up furs and executed them. Mark shook his head as he watched image after image of the horrible acts taking place. Furs were starting to fight back and it was only making things worse. He sighed as Blue turned it off. Blue shook his head, “this is getting out of hand. Slavery was bad but at least most of us stood a chance of not being killed just by walking out a door. Now they are rounding us up and killing everyone regardless of who was involved in what." Wolf sighed, “its only a matter of time before the underground is compromised. We have safe houses all over the city, eventually someone will get lucky and find one. Naturally they will blame this all on us and kill us all."

Mark shook his head, “why don't you all just stay here. There's plenty of room here and we have more than enough food and supplies." Wolf shook his head, “we have to help if we can. We can't just sit by and do nothing." Sebastian walked into the room as he shook his head, “there's nothing we really can do now Wolf. We are not an army, we don't have the resources to protect ourselves let alone anyone else. Right now the best thing we can do is lay low and see if this passes."

Wolf growled, “damn is Sebastian we are here to make a difference now you expect us to hide?" The cheetah shook his head, “no I expect us to live. Lets say we rush back to the city right now. What exactly do you suppose we do Wolf? There are large groups of police roaming the city with riot gear and very large guns killing any fur that looks “suspicious." We don't have weapons, we don't have riot gear, we are here to help when we can. Right now the best help we can be is to be witnesses and wait to see what happens. If we get ourselves killed then we can't help anyone at all. We need to step back, wait, watch, and plan. Its the most we can do right now."

Mark nodded, “I agree, you are all welcome here as long as you want to stay." Foxy blushed slightly, “I certainly don't mind staying." Wolf nodded, “I know your right but what if anybody comes out here to inspect?" Mark chuckled, “that's not a problem. Father was very good at making fake paperwork. I can doctor up some papers that will show you belong here. After all I do have a lot of land and having multiple servants wouldn't really raise any eyebrows. Not that I would see you as such mind you." Wolf nodded, “we all know that. I have a contact who can help with the papers. I know a guy who works at a fur agency. I can have him do up papers for us showing you as the owner." Foxy giggled, “he can own me any time he wants." The fox paused, “I just said that out loud didn't I…." Lucas laughed, “damn is he that good at fucking?" Mark blushed as Sil threw a pillow at Foxy.

Lucas chuckled, “then its decided. However, I do insist that you all help out around the farm as much as you can." They all nodded as wolf spoke up, “we have no issues earning our keep. We are more than happy to work as hard as we need to." Mark nodded, “like I said your not slaves here. Help is appreciated but I won't throw you out just because you take a day for yourself." They all nodded as Sebastian brought a plate filled with steak, mashed potatoes, and gravy to each of them. He then brought drinks for everyone and took a seat himself. He smiled as he ate, “Mark I want to thank you for your kindness. Would it be okay if we slept in the barn?" Mark blinked, “I'm sure we can make room for you in the house if you want?" The cheetah shook his head, “that wouldn't be right. Regardless of how you see us others' won't see it that way. IF the government does inspect you then it needs to seem like we are sleeping with the other livestock."

Mark nodded, “you may be right but it doesn't mean I have to like it one bit." The others chuckled, “no you don't have to like it but its what must happen." Mark nodded, “well Lucas is at least sleeping in here with me." Lucas chuckled, “alright hun that we could play off." Mark nodded as Sil turned the television back on. The news was still as bleak as it had been. The true death tole was unknown because only human numbers was being reported.

Lucas yawned as he lay down beside his human in bed. Mark had moved into the house full time to keep up appearances. The canine wrapped his arms around his mate as he chuckled, “I think Foxy has a thing for you now." Mark giggled, “what makes you say that?" Lucas chuckled, “experience and what I can see.
