Useful until it keeps you stuck behind the glass as the world seemingly goes past you, leaving you behind. Now it is time to see those barriers, to top gazing through and hurting yourself on them. To find the ones that keep you back and break them down. Shatter the glass. SHatter your cage and be ready for more. Be ready to be free.

Shattered Glass

Polished, pristine, perfect.

Border, barrier, boundary.

Fragile, frail, flimsy.

Tethered, tangled, trapped.

Composed, calm, collect.

Still, silent, sullen.

Caught, captured, censored.

Set me free.

Break it.

Cross it.

Topple it.

Escape it.

Shatter it.

Sing for it.

Be free.

I am.
