New School, New Love? Chapter: 1
#1 of New School, New Love?
Posting the first chapter of one of the many stories I have worked on over the years. Features A teen boy new to a school, who meets a young kitsune vixen and it follows their tale. Hope you guys like it.
Aimi walked up to the corner across the street of her new school. One of the few that allowed athros and humans together. This she-fox, well kitsune in actuality, was nervous. She was not used to humans in a good light. Taking a big breath she walked up to the school. Holding her books close to her and kept her attention to herself. Not helping but noticing that everyone was looking at her as she walked by.
"Not often one sees a black fox," one student said as she passed.
"Yeah, let alone a fox. Usually they run at the sight of a crowd." another responded to the first.
Aimi cringed slightly and kept moving trying to ignore all the statements about her. Quickly moving to her locker. Taking her long leather jacket off, showing off the silver and white patterns on her head and tail. Her coat seemed to shimmer in the light as she moved. Grabbing her books and heading to class. Attempting to try and get through the day.
Grant saw the female fox enter the class as he sat closest to the window. Glancing to the park across the path seeing the occasional pass of one of his pets. He seemed to be rather uncomfortable even though he looked across the room as he caught himself looking to the new anthro her scent entering his nostrils even though his human features hid his heightened senses.
Aimi quickly ducked to her desk which put her near the back of the room. She smelled a couple of anthros in the room but she could not see the wolf at all even though his scent was strong to her. Getting her books that she didn't need away and waiting for the class to start. Occasionally she would play with a stray hair that fell out of her ponytail out of nervousness.
A few young men near Grant, still not knowing that he was an anthro, were chatting quietly with each other. "The new girl is kind of cute," one said. Another shook his head, "Nah she is just another animal. They shouldn't be here." The third just quietly nodded before the fourth spoke. "Her fur is lovely. Would look lovely on my bedroom wall I think. Too bad it is illegal to hunt them."
"Oh come on man that is not right!" The first spoke up a little louder but not enough to get the teacher's attention. "I know you guys have issues with athros but saying you would hunt them is just wrong."
Grant stayed silent not liking the others near him as he tried to avoid looking to either them or the new female fox for fear of associating himself with either party not wanting to create conflict as his fingers curled into his long sleeves hiding the true look of his hands.
The first man got up from his chair with his things. Moved to the back and asked another human to move with him. She agreed but with a sigh. He took a seat near Aimi and said hello to her. Aimi looked a little shocked and gave a half greeting out of nervousness. "Hi," she said softly. "I am Aimi. Just moved in the area."
"Nice. Hey my name is Jace," he said softly before the bell rang. "If you have any questions or issues here let me know. Okay?" Jace smiled as they stood as the teacher started role call.
Aimi nodded as she paid more attention what was going on. The rest of the day was similarly covered with nervousness. A few athro and humans came to talk to her and offer friendship with her throughout the day. When the day was done Aimi was more than happy to get her things and go. Moving towards the park to catch her barring before she went home. Sitting in the shade of a tree, not realizing that an eevee and a vulpix were playing in the tree.
Aimi sat down and pulled one book out when the vulpix fell out of the tree. Surprising Aimi somewhat, though not enough to not see what landed in her lap. "Oh hey," she said softly to the vulpix, "are you alright? I hope you are not hurt." She said with an open hand for the vulpix to sniff her before she moved.
A whistle was heard a few moments later causing the vulpix to perk up letting out her soft call as suddenly an eevee bound out of the tree disappearing around the corner of the bushes towards the noise as the vulpix moved slightly looking towards the noise as the teen male rounded the corner seeing the vulpix causing an uneasy look to appear on his face as the eevee circled around him.
Aimi saw the collar on the vulpix when she moved. "Little cousin go to your person. I am fine if you are." she said softly to the vulpix with a smile.
The vulpix looked to her before bounding off to the human male before rubbing against him before bounding into his arms. "I am sorry if they bothered you.." he spoke softly as he look softened seeing that she wasn't a threat to his pets.
"No not at all," she said with a soft smile her tails swishing in the shadows of the tree barely seen as she stood up. Aimi stayed in the darkest part of the shade. "I just wanted to be sure she was not hurt in the fall."
"They can get rough with each other, but usually it is eevee who is knocked out of the tree." he spoke looking to the eevee sitting between his legs as he pet the vulpix who had become comfortable in his arms yawning slightly as she lay watching Aimi.
"I am Grant...." he spoke trying not to sound nervous as her scent was affecting him, female anthro's being very rare in his town. His senses not used to the strong feminine scent female humans did not give as his hands hid under Vulpix's body the rest of his body covered by clothing except his normal appearing face.
Aimi continued to smile as she watched how he held vulpix. "Yeah we fox types are tougher then we look more often than not. Including little eevees." she said looking to the eevee. "Do you mind if I pet or play with them before you get out of the school? You are obviously their person and I don't want to overstep boundaries."
Grant shook his head at her comment the eevee moving towards Aimi after hearing her name called curious to the fox before her. "I just worry for them some of the locals don't care for them, that is why I keep them within view as often as I can." he admitted as he watched her.
Kneeling down when the eevee got close, allowing the eevee to smell her. Knowing she smelled closer to a ninetails than a human. Waiting patiently for the reaction of the eevee, smiling as she waited.
Eevee nuzzled her hand slightly moving to brush her body against her responding in her soft voice as she brushed her tail against Aimi.
"There we are little one," Aimi said with a smile as she pet and scritched the eevee behind the ears and middle of the shoulders gently. "You look like you could use an oran berry. Is it alright?" she asked looking up at Grant.
He nodded at her question as he moved to sit down the fox poke curling into him.
Aimi grabbed two oran berries, passed one to Grant to give to vulpix before she gave a berry to eevee. Holding it out in the flat of her hand for eevee to sniff the berry.
Eevee ate the berry enthusiastically before yipping in pleasure as vulpix ate hers before snuggling back into a ball.
A call came out that made Aimi lift her head and look behind her. At the edge of the park was a ninetails, though instead of it being all white the tips of the tails was blue and muzzle of it's face. "I should go," she said softly as she looked back at the ninetails. "My family is waiting for me. It was nice meeting you Grant." she said standing up slowly to not startle the pokemon. "Oh," she said softly though Grant could still hear it, "I understand why you hide what you are. I would if I could too. Your secret is safe with me." Aimi turned away as she made her tails disappear before hitting the sunlight. Though Grant could see she had ninetails as well in the midnight black and silver pattern as the one that was showing in the sun.
