Kellendra (Chapter 2)
#2 of Weary
Kellendra's blue eye slit open as morning's first rays fell upon her bed. She stared at Synops's head and chest gently rise and fall with each new breath. How hard it must be Kellendra thought to fall asleep when you're blind. What you see during the day being what you see at night as well. Not to mention in a totally alien house. A totally dark world... Kellendra shuddered at the thought. Synops took a long breath and sighed reaching out to touch Kellendra. Kellendra chuckled and shuffled just out of his reach. Synops chuckled himself as she came in and kissed him on the chest. Synops shifted positions so he was leaning on his side facing Kellendra. She lay down on her back and allowed Synops to crawl on top of her. Synops licked her lightly on the cheek and rubbed his muzzle against hers. She moaned softly and Synops felt the top of his sheath get wet with her juices. His hard-on slipped out and he guided it quickly into her sweet pussy. She gasped and Synops brought there heads together again locking tongues. Synops got a slow motion going and started toying with one of her soft nipples while playfully nipping at her neck. Kellendra let out a quiet moan when Synops started tracing her tight asshole with his finger. Instinctively she wrapped her tail around his hand which led him to thrust harder and slowly penetrate her ass with his finger. Kellendra shivered as she felt some of Synops's pre-cum Coat the inside of her vagina allowing him to thrust even harder and faster than before. Synops's whole body began to shudder and she started closing her legs squeezing Synops with the intensity of the growing orgasm. Finally Kellendra came and Synops thrust as high up as his cock would go cumming deep in her pussy. She gasped and Synops lay on top of her panting with her. He gently licked her cheek loving absolutely everything about Kellendra.
A good while later after much cuddling Kellendra sat up and walked to her closet throwing on a blue shirt and buttoning up tan wool pants. Glancing over at Synops she saw him staring out one of her windows directly into the sunrise a tear quietly rolling down pale eyes to be lost in his fur.
"What is it like Synops, being unable to see?" Kellendra started shunning herself for prompting such a pointless question.
Synops fidgeted once and inhaled sharply before answering, "I have had the pleasure of seeing the world once... seven years ago to be precise my father... he..." Synops choked slightly after breathing a little bit he continued, "You must understand my father was a great man who married a beautiful white wolf. His own fur was a dark gray. They loved each other more than I thought possible even when they had sired myself and my two younger brothers. That was when, about 8 years back, a terrible snowstorm brought disease and famine. Mother and Father sacrificed all trace of Food to feed the three kids. Father was stronger than her and he survived. My two younger brothers were lost as well. Dad couldn't take it and he started drinking, lightly at first but more and more often. In one of his drunken rages he spilled a bowl of dye over my eyes... blinding me." Synops turned away from the warm sunlight and faced Kellendra's direction.
"Soon after that my father just gave up and wandered out and up the mountains taking most of the money to spend on more drink. And now six years later I am what you see before you, a near helpless blind man scrounging up food wherever I can." Synops shuffled to the head of the bed leaning against the wall he began tracing the outside of the bed and wall unwilling to look in Kellendra's direction.
Kellendra pawed over to Synops gently stroking the back of his head watching noiselessly as tear after tear ran down his cheeks. "Its ok Synops... let it all out." Kellendra took up his head and nestled it against her shoulder where he hugged her crying softly. Kellendra quickly wiped her own tears to make sure she didn't let Synops feel her pity. Once Synops stopped crying and was calm she pulled back and cupped his head. Looking closely she could see the faint dark blue smudges where the ink must have landed. Wordlessly she pulled him close and locked there muzzles in a sweet kiss. She patted his head fur as she continued kissing him.
Eventually however Kellendra had to start working. First she started by sewing up a long black sweater and ruffled tan pants for Synops to wear. They shared brief kisses and hugged often as they worked. Just to make body contact and make sure for Kellendra that Synops knew how much she cared for him. Synops cleaned off his heavy gray cloak and familiarized himself with the house. Finding where the furniture was and where the doors were.
Synops tugged on the warm clothes and strapped his cloak over it all. Kellendra wanted to show him around the town. In order to travel Synops lightly laid a finger on Kellendra's belt. "My house if the furthest from the center of town," she began excitedly, "that way I can stay at peace and have more crops for any villagers who are either down on their luck this year or cant afford any." She smiled as she reached the end.
"Hungry villagers such as myself?" Synops chuckled playfully nipping at the back of her neck.
Kellendra brushed her head along Synops's muzzle. "Yes villagers just like yourself," She cooed softly, "This is the Bakery, just across the street is the town market. If you plan on staying here long that's where to get food if I'm busy." Synops gave a nod of approval gently straying away from the safety of Kellendra's belt tapping out with his staff until he found the porches of the two stores. "Way across town beyond the farms and the Inn is the jail, thus far unoccupied save for a couple of drunkards and other petty crime people." Kellendra said pressing into Synops's soft figure as he returned from surveying the stores.
"People like Thomas?" Synops said with a hint of anger in his voice.
"Yes... peoples like Thomas." Kellendra said welcoming the soft cocoon of love as Synops wrapped his arms around her from behind murring softly when he licked behind her ears.
"Kellendra," Synops said with a hint of fear, "Where is everybody?" He shifted once or twice sniffing around and swiveling his ears around.
Kellendra looked down and broke free of his embrace, "Alas I'm the only one in the village who does not believe in this particular religion. It would be perfectly fine if everyone didn't make such a damn big deal out of it." Synops shifted slightly he didn't take Kellendra for the swearing type, "I'm always singled out and shunned another reason for the house being so far away." She was close to tears and yelling at the end.
Synops re-cradled her bringing her close. The two formed a perfect picture. Synops's white fur quietly ruffling in the light breeze under the dark clouds, and Kellendra's smaller body pressed up against his adding a fire to the relationship. Neither Kellendra nor Synops would ever forget this perfect moment. Kellendra allowed herself to be led back in the direction of the house. The rhythmic tapping of Synops's staff lulled her into a dream like state.
"Heh, well look what we got here boys two little bitches." Synops and Kellendra stopped dead. Thomas had returned. Synops softly cured under his breath, his daggers were set up against the wall back at Kellendra's house.
"That one is mine!" Thomas barked to his gang of about three-four guys or so Synops guessed.
"I would truly rather not fight you gentlemen." Synops said in as calm a voice as he could muster his anger increasing to a frightening level. He stepped in front of Kellendra moving her back. He spread his feet apart getting a good footing and he kept his staff raised slightly off the ground ready for anything and everything.
"You caught me off guard last time old man," Synops slowly lowered down his cloak and Thomas saw him for the first time, "Hmm Pretty nice coat you got their too bad I'm gonna bloody up good cripple." Synops cringed at the last word his anger inflaming his senses even more.
"Unfortunately for you odds are against you this time, I'm all sobered up and I brought two good friends of mine for extra insurance." Thomas jeered mocking him.
Synops stayed focused. Three men altogether Thomas was about three feet in front of the other two henchmen and he was within swinging distance of his staff but he needed more time to think. "Do you really need three strong men such as yourselves to take down a weary blind man?" Synops stated with a slight grin going across his face.
Of the three two were wolves one being Thomas a huge wolf with muscles to match. The second was a dark brown wolf slightly smaller than Thomas but could easily pack a knock out punch. Lastly was a lithe red fox with cunning eyes always shifting and sizing up the situation.
"Ill make you eat those words whore!" The smaller fox yelled leaping at Synops aiming a hard left hook for his rib cage. Synops scooted to the left and brought his staff down on the man's bent elbow. He was rewarded with a sharp crack and a yowl of pain as the fox retreated nursing his smashed elbow. Thomas and the remaining wolf were much larger than Synops towering over him a good four inches who already stood two inches above Kellendra. The two wolfs ran at him as one. Thomas's fist aiming for a solid strike on his head and the other wolf was using his right fist to try and smash Synops's ribcage. Synops buried the bottom end of his staff into the mud and swiveled it around so it caught henchmen's hand forcing him to draw back rubbing his knuckles. As Thomas neared Synops used the leverage of the pole to jump onto Thomas striking him twice on the forehead leaving two trails of blood etched in a cross pattern on his head. Leaping off him Synops interlocked his hands and crushed the recovering wolf into the dirt. A deafening crack made Kellendra twitch and collapse to her knees the wolf to his death. Synops could kill without question, a statement that would keep Kellendra up at night with Synops.
Synops circled around his final opponent his claws and paws a moist red. Thomas lightly touched the deep imprints snarling at Synops. Thomas charged. Synops raised his upper arms intending to block the first attempt but heard Kellendra run up behind Thomas punching him hard in the side. He fell heavily but managed to reach out and cut across Synops's side biting deep. Synops yelped in pain, the shock sending him to a knee. Synops would not be denied he hobbled to where Thomas lay in the mud thickening as a light rain came over the town. He beat upon Thomas furiously striking him for insulting Kellendra, striking him for injuring him, striking him more and more for sins that related nothing to this incident. Synops stopped when he heard Kellendra cry out. The front of his new shirt was stained in blood his white fur was soaked in it.
The fox had recovered enough to dash past the two while Synops stared in the direction of Kellendra. He raced into town shouting for the guards and murder.
Synops gasped through her choked sobbing. The normally cloudy blue eyes typical in blind men had gone red with anger. His claws and shirt added to the appearance and Kellendra had a racing thought that the devil had caught up with her. She shied away from him scared of how he looked and what he had done, whimpering slightly.
"Kellendra..." Synops said softly his eyes slowly returning to the pale blue. He rubbed his palms together feeling the sticky blood flow out of his palms realizing what he had done. "Kellendra!" Synops called out suddenly extremely freighted tears streaming down his face.
"I'm here Synops." Kellendra called out weakly extending a paw towards Synops grasping his hand tightly. Synops cried freely now with Kellendra, all they wanted was each other and no one else. Rain came down heavier washing blood down the muddy path off of Synops and from the two dead men. Synops and Kellendra clung to each other scared of everything that had happened, each silently thinking out how to leave the city... never to return.
